This game requires 22gigs of RAM to run smooth, my GPU contains 11gigs of VRAM. And my system currently holds 16gigs of regular RAM. Together that is 27gigs of total RAM. Why would upgrading my systems regular RAM to 32gigs improve gameplay? I thought that VRAM was used solely to render graphics on screen, and that regular RAM was for the OS to compute in the background.

How do you run a program that casually uses 24gb RAM, when you only have 16gb installed?

Pagefile, that's how. It's not as good as just getting more actual RAM, but it'll work
