ok so my miner cant seem to be able to mine any rock above 4k mass

found some good quantanium rocks with 4.6k massa and 4.8k mass but the charge level just wont go up even at 100%

For some odd reason, there is a mass differential issue between deposits on the surface of planets and asteroids. With the Lancet, you can easily crack a 5K+ asteroid with no additional components YET on the surface you struggle with even smaller rocks

The tried and true method for cracking larger rocks primarily use Surge and Stampede as base, then you add what ever you want for third support

When it is refined, you must have a ship that can carry the whole amount refined at one time. So the smallest ship you can use to carry refined ore from the refinery to market is the Cutlass Black

Problem with halo farming when you're not doing quant, it that there's so much different materials and the % are often meh, and so few good tier 2 ores, which is what you want, or need to make a decent profit

This is what you do when that happens. I had it happen to me at Area18, so I flew to Lorvile on Hurston. It still did glitched out there. So I flew to New Babbage and you can land outside of the Commons (round buildings near the track, left side track as you face NB with the space port behind you). There you can run in the Commons, go to the TDD and sell you wares.

The basics for getting started with ROC mining. I would say try this because it is the most affordable (besides hand mining) that you can do. You can earn up to 200K aUEC per trip in the ROC.

1. Go to Orison and pick out a free 48hr rental for escort. Today's company is Anvil, so get the Valkyrie for ROC carrier. Go get the Valkyrie and go to HUR-L1
2. Rent the ROC for about 4k aUEC at any refinery store (HUR-L1 or HUR-L2 is where I recommend because you are going to be mining on Aberdeen).
3. Buy the Pembroke armor set for about 15K (both undersuit and helmet)
4. Go to Aberdeen and to one of the two outpost there.
5. Get the ROC from the Platimun pad and load it up.
6. Start pinging and find Hadanite deposits. If the scan doesnt work, the deposits have sort of pink veins
   I hear that the terminals might not be working in the refinery stores, I've not had a chance to check them out yet

It was never a problem in 3.16 because you could fly to the low orbit station and then take a quick ship down to the planet. They shared inventory. But CIG was nice enough to remove this feature so we're hosed unless we run to NB to the Commons.

But ONLY if the ATC doesn't acknowledge your landing on the pad

You can't get your ship impounded because the City ports will make you as trespassing and then give you a crime stat. Unlike the space stations that stow your ship and transport you inside.

Because the store only buys a limited amount at a time - it has a limited demand. You can see in the bottom left that your cargo is worth about 128,000 in total (prices fluctuate) but the store will only buy a small amount of your cargo (383 out of your 2410)

Not really, you can get intercepted and killed, crash into something and get killed, get ambushed when leaving or entering the stations and killed. And ofc server crashes with 30k SHOULD make sure your cargo is safe. Client crashes SHOULD also make you come back where you were in the ship if that happens.

if you are using surge and stampede why not a Rieger-C3, its 10% to the optimal and only +6 resistance

Hello Guys, i have a question: if i try mining with my mole, it shows 0scu/0scu. Even if i try to extract recources my storage-inventory isn't filling. Had to jettison quantanium the other day. Do i have to rebuy the mining-pods or is it a bug?

I mine soley in space, but what I use is the rieger and focus III both passive, and a surge for that first break, have not met a space rock yet I cant crack and never had one go boom

It bugs sometimes, the materials is usualy there, so just continue harvesting as normal and go back to base

but if you're out in space (at least this is where i've tested) and you're using the ping system (dropping to 2degrees) if you swap to mining mode, while your crosshair is over the pip, you can actually see the rock type

and it hasn't been putting me back in my ship. It's been spawning back at my last location I was at with nothing.

FYI: There is a bug that shows the Quantainium that you are scooping up is inert material however, it is Quantainium, so don't worry about it. It will be there when you get to the refinery (unless you delay and it goes critical and blows you up)
