I for sure can't run scrap to Olisar from CRU L1
Managed to sell at HURL5
I wonder if you can do good quant mining with a MOLE
Anyone try and see if scrap is fixed
Have the fixed the issue with the ROCs charge UI yet?
๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ ah well, maybe next time
where are people finding quantanium these days?
lyria
btw anyone wanna mine with me
man mining on the ground kinda scares me
Wtf ?
wym
I feel like the belt got a nerf in quant
Spent an hour yesterday roaming were as before it maybe took me at most 30 min
Lyria felt the same@took me 10-15 min to find some deposits
Same here but was at the belt, hardly found any quant. Almost run out fuel cos I was looking for so long.
What im talking about 3 messages above you XD
what's best shield for a HERCULE ?
and canon ? there are many choices but no statistics
I mean your not going out fighting with it, do you need one?
yes I would like to be able to defend myself effectively by doing great damage to my attackers
c2?
yes
Lightstrike Vs pack a punch
?
thank you i will look at that
Isn't there better in terms of rate of fire and damage than the cannon Lightstrike V ?
M7A looks a bit better i don't know what you think
@lament loom I average almost 700k a run in my mole every 30 minutes
@tawny mortar @lyric peak @crisp canopy I have a mining guide pinned in this channel aswell as I can send you guys my scouting guide for quant.
@lament loom just quantanium
nope
very interesting
break it all down first. then I scoop.
Lyria I assume?
then head to my next rock. I use a scout ina fast ship. aswell
so I just jump from rock to rock to refinery
when I get to the last rock in my load. when we scoop it. aslong as it's more than 10 scu worth. your timer will go up.
interesting
because your adding more stability.
wait wait
giving some extra needed time to get back safely.
so mining more quant increases the timer?
yes.
Ooh, I didn't know that
scooping up more quant after adds to the timer
I thought it's straight up 15 mins and that's all you get
has to be more than 10 scu
nope. now it doesn't reset the timer but it does go up.
highly recommend my mining guide pinned in this channel. def changed some miners lives with it haha
im gonna make an app to calculate return on quant. would anyone use it?
save your time Sudsman.. once you been mining quant long enough you can do it on the fly...
Whatโs the best way to scout for it?
clusters of rocks
Ill have a look when i get home, thank u
I'll give it a look
hey all, Whats the best laser for a ROC? is it the defualt or should i get another
@ancient wyvern can't change laser on it
Hello! anyone is having troubles with trading posts consoles? or do I have to do some requirement to be able to select my ship? I'm basically parked beside it and I cannot select my ship
is there a way to lock the scan mode reticle? I use head tracking and it is annoying to need to turn it off or hold my head really still while scanning.
What is the ship with the biggest cargo gold that I can rent? Donโt see an easy way to find this info
with active modules when i run out of uses do i need to rebuy the module or can i just resupply it at a landing pad?
Buy them
bruh
Also, none of the modules persist if ship is lost
like if i claim my ship?
Correct
whats the best loadout for a prospector solo mining so that i can break big rocks, like i have a surge, stampade and optium module
dont even know which one to use
Personally, if you're looking to go quant mining in a prospector, and you dont mind being a bit picky, a Lancet I with 2x ReigerC3s and 1x VauxC3 and go mining in the aaron halo. So long as you stick to quant rocks at 25%-30% or higher, you should pretty much fill your prospector every time you scoop ๐
And for all the players who say you cant go quant mining with a stock prospector...yes, yes you absolutely can
im going to surge, reiger C3 and torrent 3 for mining big rocks on lyria
anyone wanting to crew a mole or get a mining team together?
cause lyria has big rocks and im looking for those
@thorn terrace even if you serge wont the heat drop again cuz the mining laser you using cant keep the heat up?
But if your going in a prospector, you wont have the capacity to scoop up all of the larger rocks, meaning leaving stuff behind
im using lancet
if you would rather use a mole @thorn terrace i have one
also i found belt mining is the best
as you get a bunch of rucks at near 40% quant in one bundle
cool, if you want to do mining hmu
finishing a card game and il be on
what mining laser do i want For A prospector?
to be able to crack the 5000 size rock
the Lancet is the meta for the past several builds. It is also one of the most economical purchases too. Best for Quantainium, etc
Add the Surge consumable and you've got the bases covered.
That spot do you hit in Aaron's Halo? Between CRU-L1 to ARC-L3? Or ARC-L1 to Hurston? I'm always looking for tips of good spots. I have found the outer edges of the belt tend to give the best results.
I run CRU-L1 to ARC-L3 and drop out between 11.5M and 11.3M Km
you want toj oin us?
Thanks, I'm still at work for many more long hours ๐ฆ
anybody want to join me for mining?
@violet narwhal freshly installed and same issue
Lyria
Would you say that these days even for a single player with Helix or Lancet head Prospector?
I've just spent 2 hours in the halo and came out with nearly nothing, was easy picking before patch or maybe I just struck out on this occasion
Anyone notice anything strange with ROC mining? It seems that the deposits now vary in size and have much higher yield
as in between a range of .95 and .65
Yep, ppl do it all the time. I solo in a mole on Lyria
actually headed there as we speak
what's the difference between lancet mh1 and mh2
mh1 = prospector. mh2 = mole
I'll have to check the roc mining
what are some good attachments for a prospecter?
depends
Did they fixed the hopping Mole bug when you get out of the pilot seat?
Dead Mineral Deposits are still a thing, correct?
nope
I'm finding a LOT of them in the Halo.
That nope may have been for me.
Yup, had loads in the halo most of which looked like quant
I might even say its even worse now.
Do those dead rocks happen on Lyria too?
I would say less likely in my experience.
Is mining in a prospector worth it these days compared t the other ways of making money? I'm more into ship bounty hunting but did like mining in 3.13 before the dead roids problem was a thing.
im making decent money, about 500k an hour with mining, but it's all preference, im sure you can get up to a mil an hour with bounty hunting going for vhrt and ert group bounties
I guess the events which are coming around the 17th on JT and XT right? Is 9T coming back too?
It's just XT
No word on NT or JT
I guess I could probably get on the PTU to test it.
whats the best refining option for max profit for quant?
dinyx
They did something with the patch, I searched for almost an hour and found a total of three Quantainium rocks. All under 4%
how do i use the surge and brant modules while mining?
Opposite here. Found 2x 40% plus about 10 mins after setting out each time. Not out in Halo though, I think something has happened out there
Seeing alot more bugged rocks in the Halo now. Going to do some planet mining and see if that's better
Yeah I jumped from Halo to planet for the same reason.
I'll be sad if I'm forced to mine on the surface
Yeah I enjoy jumping between both options. Good to mix things up but Halo was pretty rough for me yesterday. Never seen so many bugged rocks
9 player server too with great fps performance
u mean surge and stampede?
I figured it out
Modules confuse me. Why in the long distant future would we be inventing physical modules that canโt be recharged and reused. Lore nowhere
How much aUEC do you guys typically make a day? I just want to know if there's something I should be doing
if you do let's say 10 jobs a day consistently you'll be getting around 2-3 mil
that's in respect to prospector mining with 32 scu
Jobs as in 10 or so quant rocks?
Gotcha, I've bene on lyria for a while, but my luck hasnt been the best lately, so I havent found any decent rocks in a while
Think I got enough to fill my MSR in 6-7 hours worth of rock hunting yesterday
thats only around a million in profit though ๐ฆ
lyria? that's weird im mining there rn
have ROC will mine for ride
maybe rejoin a server
lyria has been great for me today
what's your methods of finding rocks?
Go to lyria, fly around 20-30 km from drop point, look for clusters of 2 or more. If I find nothing after 10-15 minutes I hit a OM and find another outpost to fly around.
I'm finding plenty of rocks, but they're all like 2% quant, or mostly inert
did you check every single rock in the cluster, because usually there is always one with a high percentage
I had 2 clusters of 10 rocks, and a pair within 10000 m of each other, and they were all lame
I am
okay try this then, it's another method that has worked for me
set your way point to cru l4, drop out of quantum at around 15mil km and search for rocks of 2 clusters , ignore 3, or even high number clusters
if you get a 4k mass rock at 30-40% that's your unicorn
Cool! I'll try that now, thanks!
np :))
Best place to handmine me new
Any of the cave missions
Under search missing client
anyone have quantanium mining tips? What head to use? What modules? Im kinda lost
cheers mate, thanks
Any money to be made of cargo running in this patch?
Not really, it's still low supply, can make cash but not a ton
its just slow for making cash
Quant mining is def the cash cow for low stress
Got the cutless black starter ship, am i going to be best doing delivery missions?
Do you loose all your modules when your prospector blows up, even the non consumable ones?
yup
Ok, just making sure that was normal. I have had stuff bug out on other ships.
and... ooof
humm I might want to practice with vaux normals instead of vaux-c3 humm
can get expensive
Is not normally an issue, but am a bit tighter after buying the ship than I normally am ๐
surge, stampede and brandt modules are a decent low cost option too
I run a focus 2 and two torrent 2s can crack anything in the belt no problem
Ill try both combos (im sure I will blow another ship up sooner than latter) ty
My combo cracks a touch slower but very very safe
that is what I need as a new prospector miner I think
Although to be fair, that rock would not have nuked if my mining interface didnt stop working
if you're ever in doubt just stop the laser, let it cool down and start again
can retry as many times as you need but if you blow it up, it's done
If you're using a Lancet, it's almost always better to go to 0% and keep the laser going as it keeps the green zone bigger, which MAY get you out of the red sooner.
I've only blown up because i looked away from cracking a smaller rock
Deliveries, but will make way more money with Bounty Hunting.
Humm the whole jettison cargo is not working :/
Quan going critical? That's only when it works and WITH the QT engine OFF
@crimson mantle Has there been any changes in the ore distribution in Aaron's Halo? Like the quantity of Quantainium?
ya tried that, I was ok but I only picked up a super little amount
I am pretty sure being in and out of mining mode did not help was trying alt+j I dont think it worked at least...
@north oyster i feel it changes day by day cause i jump to the same spot near every time
Or could just be pure rng
I dropped out of QT one time and the ship did a shutter, the Quantainium went critical right then. I tried to jettison the load but it failed (not sure if having the QT engine on caused that) and boom
I had so little like I acidentially hoovered a small amount in so I was going to eject it then get the rest in space. It just poofed, so did my nice space rock too
This is not a little change, this is "no body is home" vacancy. And all the other ore was trash. I tried all the spots plus many more in the belt. I found only 4 rocks total after a couple of hours
I just mined yesterday, so unless it was an over night change i found two 49% 5k quant rocks
And all those rocks were 2% except one at about 5%
In about an hour
OK, that's good. Maybe the dice gods hate me
So either the just changed it or rng took a big poo on ya
Where was the general area you had those hits?
Between hur 2 and arc 4 at about 8.9m from arc
That's generally where i set up
Have had good luck but also have had a 2 hour stretch of trash
tried 4 different spots on Aarons and best I found was 15% 5T. Went to Lyria 3 times now and found 30%+ in under 15 minutes each time. I feel kinda forced to do planet mining now
I just found a 49% one
But belt seems lighter than usual
Scanning works smoother though
Anyone know if they nerfed spawns in lyria, literally since the patch have not found great rocks to fill the mole
its been bad
lol just read this, yea we are having problems in lyria aswell, I think they nerfed spawns
Shadow nerf, and not announcing it lol
I wouldn't be surprised, can't have decent money lol
Took longer to find my good rock but i did find one
You will find but I use to be able to find good rocks in no time, now it takes maybe 30-40 mins to find 1 good rock
instead of buffing things like cargo or BH they nerf mining, just does not make sense to me
surprised the mining scanner doesn't redirect me to the Pledge Store ๐
I really think that just your take on it, I am still getting very good rocks within 10-15 min, my experience with finding rocks before and after the patch has not changed all. So unless they specifically stated they nerfed the spawn rate of rocks, I think your experience is just bad luck and nothing else.
Why sadly?? Shouldnt the guys that dont want to stare at rocks all day also have a way to make money?
lol
It's been a long day
I will say the scanning seems to work better now
Like actually scans most of the time
Scanning definitely works a lot better since the patch landed
im still getting invisible rocks when scanning sometimes
yeah it still happens but not nearly as much as before
but idk if thats server dependant or not
And it tells you everything in the rock + all the stats now
And appears to not lose the scan when you move off it
depends if theres other rocks in the area iirc
Can you mine laranite on Lyria?
think for leranite you will be better to go to Yela and sell at GH
The ratio hasn't been game breaking but it is irritating. I think the blank asteroids is more a server issue, so if it's bad I jump servers
So annoying having modules in refineries but unable to buy them ๐
Anyone know if supply/demand will ever be a feature? Everyone is mining quant so it would be cool to see demand fall and price dip etc..
Going to get pretty boring mining the same thing over and over though right? Fluctuating prices would keep mining interesting and more than just a one stop ore
it would just kill mining with how it's setup right now. not enough places to sell in Stanton alone, server stocks are shared globally. mining would just die then everyone would just be doing group ert's over & over
Thatโs true. Iโd like to see some kind of variation though eventually. Supply and demand is a core concept of any economy. If we have a fixed market price for everything forever it will just stagnate I think
I can see something like that happening when there's like 20 Systems in the game though. it's just too small for anything complex right now. thing is, there's no demand, no one buys the stuff
Thatโs true. We need proper industry. Maybe that will come with construction ships. Common ores will no doubt become more valuable when theyโre actually needed for something
yep we also need trading to cover everything and space truckers will have a huge impact on what's valuable
Can someone send me a basics about mining with this "hand-cannon" ?
Cross has pinned a ship mining guide but for hand mining, the idea is to scan, the keep it in the green until it cracks. "More is caught than taught" so it is a matter of just finding gems and mining them. Just avoid the overcharging of the rocks to prevent respawing in the hospital.
thx
Be sure to have a backpack and maybe go with heavy armor with a heavy class backpack because of the extended storage to put gems in. Also to find caves, take the "missing person" missions to locate the caves
Is there an easier way to pickup gems than by hand?
@torn moss we haven't had problems. maybe server hop?
@halcyon brook why unable to buy them?
mining modules are at the clothing terminal in refinery
look at the tabs and scroll right
Looking for someone or two, to come with me mole mining & Im also looking for people who want to play with super friendly active people. DM me for info
how's mining in 3.16?
Chill and profitable ๐
even with a roc?
haven't really tried the roc yet, mainly using prospector
Wat! I had no idea! ๐๐ I couldnโt find them
This has probably been asked before and to me seems like kind of an obvious answer but I figured i'd ask since I cant get any info online about it. Does the power system in a prospector matter when mining? I would imagine so having more power output for a mining head but with this game being buggy and such I figured id ask before spending $150,000 AUEC on a good one
@civic valve it will not give you more power on laser
I only change laser, qt and modules
on the prospector
Has mining changed in 3.16.1. Please check out the above and contribute if you think its a problem
@thin escarp Alright thank you! Glad I asked before I decided to buy a new power system lol. Thanks again
Hey
I feel like I'm missing something with Roc mining. I'm on daymar (witha cutty and roc) and i've been passing through the mountains a ton, scanning with tab. I'm about 1k up from the surface. But when I do i'm not finding any gems. Is there some trick i'm missing out on.
Nope that's what you do. Have to seek out them gems! Try heading near mining sites and scout out from there.
wild. i the RNG must hate me
Bruh!! I know the feeling when I'm out looking for quant in Halo...
glad i'm not the only one ๐ is there a rough idea of how long i should be between finding spots. i've been at it for 40m now hah
Does anyone have that file with mining op roles?
ROC has a lot of challenges since 3.14 and needs some love that won't be coming soon from CIG. It is still there, it is still functional, but there are a number of challenges with it that makes it hardly worth the effort. I could name them all but let's just say, it could be way better than it is now.
The only thing that you need on the Prospector is the new laser head, which would be the Lancet. Besides that you can pick up a faster Quantum Drive. All the other components mean nothing at this time in game (for the most part) because CIG levelized all the ship components to begin rebalancing them after a number of huge changes last year.
Go to Aberdeen and/or Arial. Pick up a Pembroke suit first if you can afford one. The gem deposits will only return a hit from the ping when you are right on top of them (within 1200 meters, but mainly within 1000 meters). So you have to go very low as you ping. Some go fast, I tend to go slower so I can scan everything as it comes up.
Also, I would dive down from the OM-1 orbital marker to the planet surface. This only takes a moment and it is worth it because it is always daylight under the OM-1
Cross pinned the mining guide to this forum, that might have what you are looking for.
I think CIG messed with the Halo, it's dried up at the moment
at least compared to what I use to harvest out of there
I'm wonder if some intern screwed it up like they did Trade, LOL
OK going to do some prospecting into the belt and see if I can find where the Quantainium went, that is IF there is any left
UPDATE This might sound strange, but I think they MOVED Aaron's Halo
...how?
The circumference is different. The location of the outer and inner bands is not different.
Maybe by over 100K, I haven't figured it out yet
It is constricted and closer to the Stanton star than it use to be
Hmm, time to do some testing then
I was testing from CRU-L1 to ARC-L3, and I decide to drop out close to 13M from ARC-L3 to start out side the band, and I stopped in the middle of asteroids. AND I just found 5 Quantainium asteriods, though the highest (this time) was 19%.
That's the best I've seen since the patch going live
I noticed last night when I dropped out at 11M that I was in open space, and that was wrong
Can I put a ground vehicle in the caterpillar?
nope
meat is back on the menu, Boyz!!
Looks like Aaron's Halo has shifted in about 500K Km (give or take, I've not gotten an exact). I still need to test, but your favorite fishing hole has moved, Adjust it 300K Km closer to the star and see how it works.
@thin escarp if you'll let some of your Belt miners know, I realize most of you farm Lyria, but just in case.
I hope to spend some time plotting the location of the edge of the belt, in and out, then calculating the sweet spots from there.
That makes so much sense! Cause i screwed up and jumped wrong and found a dickload of rocks!
anyone here willing to let me mine with their prospector? Looking into mining and want to get a feel for it.
I used all my cash to rent a prospector thinking i could get money faster with one, that seems to have been a mistake.I can't seem to open any rocks because i don't have modules. Is there a better way?
Where are you mining and what size are you trying to crack?
tried some surface mining on daymar and test mining in CRU L1.
i did get some dimond to work but it was so little money so i assume i shouldn't do that
The rental CAN make it's money back but it's a pain
This is the value list
@spring shard
thanks that's super helpful
You can find decent bexa rocks that you can crack
I haven't tried the default laser, but asteroids are all about the same size. Can it break those?
Better to rent a cutty and a roc too practice mine though.
@north oyster yea the low % bexa rocks aren't very tough.
ROC mining is messed up but it does "work" though
I wonder if 3.17 attachments will breath life into the rental Prospector
Also, doesn't the rental laser head allow one attachment now?
You can't edit it far as I'm aware
Using a surge with it would make it easy peasy
Pretty sure you can't change anything on em
But yea @spring shard gonna wanna look for bexa rocks and cherry pick the good chunks, will be slow but can pay for the rental
Ryan from SuperMacBrothers was going to do a video on making money with a rental Prospector
I made a decent amount before i figured out it's tedious lol it's fun in a way
Is it currently safe to store a ROC in a ship, and then store the ship itself?
Yup ๐
Sweet thanks! Just didnโt want my ROC lost to the ether if I tried ๐
Is the avenger titan worth renting? Like for space trucking
Better to rent a Connie/ cutty
is the selling scrap still broken?
Yep
tky
anybody know where to buy a lancet mh2 as of this patch?
does refined load expire?
you cant really truck in a titan. doesnt have a big cargo grid. tho its pretty nice for box missions/bunker looting
Hur L1
Ah ok well what's a good ship to rent that's good for hauling cargo?
taurus is pretty solid. idk if you can rent/where you can rent
if not freelancer max is also pretty nice and its about 50 scu less than the taurus
Ok
I mean I've been playing this game only for 2 weeks now and I only have 150K so idk how much they are lol
i think taurus is like 70k to rent?
although another good way to earn some good cash is renting a roc and a cutty black
anyone know what ship i could rent to hold a roc ds
connies
does the single seat fit in a cutlass
Yes
thanks
Hi guys! I'm trying to sell Dolivine from a Roc thats inside my ship but it doesnt appear on the scrolldown menu on either the refinery stations or any of the trade terminals. any idea what to do ?
drive your roc out of the ship and a bit away from it the it should appear
But how to do that while being at a refinery station where it gets impounded ?
oh im not sure then maybe take it out of the rock and put it in your backpack and then sell it
Hmm Yeah then mining will take a shit ton of time ๐
It worked 2 -3 days ago
i could sell from the Roc which was inside the ship
@white venture you sell roc stuff at mining outposts lol
I've sold it at New Babbage several times before
its easier to sell at the mining outposts tho
since you can just land at a pad and walk to the terminal
what mining laser should I get if I choose to replace the Arbor on the Prosp?
Lancet
Ty, also having been out of SC for a year, what is worth going for, besides Quant? Is surface mining on moons still viable?
I see, not a lot of change compared to what I have in my notes
Can you get a ground vehicle in a caterpillar? Like a cyclone or two?
@hollow sedge Def check out my mining guide pinned in this channel
i also can send you my scouting guide thats on yt
@white venture just leave the ship sit on the pad, works on refineries
Whats a full roc worth of hardanite worth? I just glitched through the planet with it half full my first time doing it, and i wanna know how bad my feeling should hurt
around $220K
i guess not as bad as i thought
Rip
still upsetting. My first time ever roc mining and glitch thru the planet and lose a haul. Already oi
alphas gonna alpha i suppose
I never really fill it, just mine for around 30-45 minutes then make a trip to sell. Don't want to test the SC bug gods too much
yea prob should have done that
hey guys, can you mine on the surface of moons with the ROC or do you keep spawning diamonds inside trees and rocks?
How do I check how much insurance my ship has left and how do i renew/ buy more for my other ships
?
!insurance
Ship Insurance and Its Implementation In the Future
#908015787900567572 message
well that one less thing to worry about
What's the best ship to rent for cargo runs
imo taurus
Can you rent a tauros? I only saw the pew pew Connie
the wiki says you can
Ok
@north oyster my scout found a 8100 44% 8200 38% a 6700 47% and a 5700 43%
in same cluster
so far tonight. 95 scu, 94.5 scu 94.3 scu, 88 scu runs.
about to bring back a perfect 96.
Have space for one more? And whatโs the cut on runs like those with your size of crews?
@sacred idol
my team is full but we have 4 other moles going rn. i can probably get ya in.
Cross is the man
the mystical BONUS inert lol
game crash after storing mole = mole destroyed
Well that's odd
is there an advanced keybind in joysticks for the hand held mining laser?
nm, binding it to the vehicles-mining keybind works.
Oh okay ๐
most people just use the prospector as the MOLE kinda needs 2 people
prospector is 2061000 auec
if it needs 2 people, does it hold enough to payout two people?
it has either twice or three times the amount but idr

5M

32 SCU vs 96 SCU....
64 for two ships and twice as fast?
or would it not be worth buying two moles
OHHH, the ship can be sold, right?
the driver cant operate the mining arms so i wouldnt say so
no the mole requires two people the prospector doesnt lul
just found a 50% qt rock
feelsgoodman
tbh i cant give the best opinion of these as i only have the prospector
u can solo the MOLE but it can be a bit annoying going from seat to seat
whats your average haul
worth renting?
renting... mehh. the mining head that comes with the rented one is not good. can only handle 1 module. and makes it very hard to stay in the green
so if you want to get into mining. sure rent it, but know that it will be easier once your able to purchase the real prospector
While i was talking to u i pulled a full qt load and i could of taken more
32scu which is like 260k
Once i find a rock i like ill average between 25-32 scu of qt
If u mine only laranite you can get a decent amount of money
U can mine quantanium with the stock head but it takes like 20 minutes

sounds like its worth it
assuming the low end would be 200k - 50k in renting 150k per load is not bad
Never tried to mine with the stock head so i wouldnt recommend it, but its def possible
Itโs not possible unless itโs a tiny rock
can you shoot me that video, i'm using a rented prospector now, but haven't been even able to make 1/5th of my cash back because i can't mine the rocks i find
Look for laranite rocks if ur in a rented prospector
are those all over or should i go someone specific?
This video provides a guide to mining using a rented prospector in Star Citizen. Renting a Prospector can be an affordable way to get started mining, but there are some limitations that you'll need to keep in mind to have a successful mining trip.
Links:
Aaron Halo Distances by the Cornerstone Group - https://cornerstonebase.space/resources/kno...
video covers it mostly
Arons halo is prob ur best bet, i find a lot of good rocks between cru-l1 and arc-l3
Stop around 12.5-12.1 mkm and u should be right in the middle
oscar, that last part would have been confusing to me if i had not watched the video LUL
i would have been like whut.....
Oops lul
I have an roc full of gems, but the trade terminal doesn't show it so i can't sell. am I doing something wrong?
Move the roc out ur ship?
hope I made the right decision, upgraded my Cutty to the Connie Taurus, seeing as I was using my Cutty mostly for transferring my quant to a sell point, and the Taurus has a much bigger cargo hold than the Andromeda
yea that was it thanks
@bleak badger. @spring shard do not rent
your not gonna make anything. that laser cant mine shit
I highly suggest my mining guide in this channel
I also can dm 2 I have on youtube
for the love of sweet God people stop recommending renting the prospector when im asleep
trying to save yall
average non rental prospector run is 200-270k if you know what ur doing/ follow my guide. in a mole you can average 700k.
last night I did 7 runs worth a total of 5.3 million.
in my mole.
I have loadouts for prospectors and moles pinned in this channel in my guide aswell as a ton of useless tips tricks how toos where toos.
@white venture only let it sit on pad if u know you can make it or it's safe.
that timer will still be going.
if its close for me I'll impound.
I refined a few things and the order is 700, and my ship can only hold 600. Do I just have to wait till i can get a bigger ship, or do i have other options.?
Also can a party member pick up my order?
Thanks! I'll take a look
pretty sure that if ur work order is larger than ur ships scu, the rest gets abandoned
The collect button wont even press for me
rent a cutty or something
wont let you
load more than what ur ship has
it just wont do the order at all
id stack orders and rent a andromeda
so your suggestion is to keep saving for full on prospector
and the guide is for prosp and the mole....
can anyone tell me the best mining laser for a prospector?
lancet mh1
alright, thats more useful information
@thin escarp I'm reasonably new to the game and mining. I'm just curious as to how many pending work jobs you can have in the refinery without issues if any?
@cinder thistle you can have as many as you can mine.
Awesome ty
whats a good spot for roc mining?
Any of the hot moons Aberdeen seems to be the biggest choice
What kind of ship would you need to start mining?
Is it the cutlass black I will be recommended?
lol nvm I'll use my scroll wheel
How the hell do you turn a profit trading when you can barely get enough Laranite to fill mini cooper?
i dont go for laranite
is there a good aurora quantum mining guide out there?
you cant mine in an aurora
How long does it take for ores to refresh / refill ?
bored as hell looking for someone to do cargo with
hm, i was wondering on the module part of things what do i need
you can hand mine in an aurora
but it cant hold a mining laser
you need a multitool with the orebit attachment
hm ok
anyone know why when i try to mine with the multi tool the white bar just does not go up
will it be relatively profitable?
So how does server tick work? It says XXXX/min although the shop hasn't refreshed in a few.
depends on how long you go hand mining for and what you get
what would be a good ship i could relatively quickly work up to, to mine?
Can you fit a ROC inside a Taurus?
Time to learn ROC mining
@cinder venture @valid dagger to start ship mining. you'll need a prospector. or a mole.
they do need a cargo ship to sell the stuff once its refined.
i have a mining guide pinned in this channel.
The Tauros is a beast for tons of stuff
how do I buy the cargo to go deliver and sell I am at a spot and it says choose destination but nothing shows up
What ship are you trying to load with cargo?
nomad
Some outpost are bugged and don't see the ship. Are you at a moon outpost and on the landing pad (if it has one)?
I am on one of the moons of the gas planet
Yela, Daymar or cellin
daymar
And you have selected the BUY column (default) of the terminal and it doesn't see your ship? I'd try another outpost then
Or maybe take off and land near the building and not on the pad
Your ship is empty, correct? nothing in the back
anyone know if the cargo refactor upgrade in 3.18 will allow for cargo to be traded to another player for transport?
is there any cheap ship with space and faster like the aegis avenger stalker
for some uncut slam and stuff like that
The pisces is a ton of fun for that
The Anvil C8X Pisces Expedition is a special variant of the C8 Pisces. It can be stored inside the Carrack and can be launched from its hangar bay. The ship is meant for scouting, reconnaissance and exploring environments inaccessible to the Carrack. It also features two additional jump seats for extra passengers. It also contains space for 4 SC...
Love the ship
okey thanks
Whats the best mining ship to get I nthe start?
Or should I go for a ground vehicle
Get a ROC if you have a ship to carry it. If not, do some hand mining in caves and whatever else to grind towards getting a prospector. The rented prospectors don't let you modify their loadouts, which is quite critical to being able to earn a high amount with them.
There are almost always people who need a scout/ extra hand for their mole as well so def ask around @velvet merlin
I have an aurora so that's a no ig
Is it possible to mine like quantanium from caves?
And ive been doing some prospector mining (rented) and seen some success
But like the higher tier asteroids are proving a bit tough
What's more efficient in terms of profit
Hate that a game/ pc hard crash costs you Your modules
You can't get quant from caves
does anyone know where i can find a up-to-date or live list of minable minerals/ores and their prices? thanks ๐
thanks!
No prob!
why am i getting this error message?
Why are you selling your goods unrefined?
cus i dont have a ship to transport the refined materials
You can rent a ship
Is it worth cargo running at the moment? Got a freelancer max and just wondered if itโs viable to turn a decent profit atm
Researching on your own is good. There might be a spread sheet of the best place to buy stuff and the best place to sell stuff
Thanks, but I was looking for more opinions on actual experience rather than a spreadsheet that could be from previous release versionsโฆ.
Ah, fair enough. You could rent a ship like a Connie once you have enough refinary deals to make like, a couple of trips will a full connie
It'd be better to buy a ship so you don't have to keep renting one
This is true. Save up the 5.5 mill required to buy and outfit a C2 (4.9mil of you just want to buy it) and then do pretty much all the hauling you could ever want
You donโt need 5.5 to outfit it lol just buy a better qt and youโre set
you can always rent a cutlass at the refineries ^^
Also I have found that you can rent a ship for one day then log off on the ship after you're done playing and then you will have it the next day for free.
It has worked fine for me so far but no guarantees ^^
and if you park veicles in the ship it will be saved as well
so you can save some time at the start of every mining session if you just log off in the orbit of Arial for example
Anyone ever have issues getting the trade console at the orphanage to find your ship ? I have parked everywhere and nothing? Is the orphanage for events only ?
I was having issues too, also gankers have started camping at the orphanage is always listed as a good selling point for laranite
Just sell at area 18 if itโs laranite
what are all of the ships with like a secret/smuggling area?
Mercury Star Runner.
other then that, and the connie. think those are the only two I know
can not all cargo ships do this ?
Connie Taurus has one shielded area in the back
Aye that works too
yeah, so besides those two are there any more?
how do i scan for hand minable items?
As I understand they just pop up when you're within 1200 meters of the deposit. Fly low and slow until you see a diamond pop up.
lol sorry my bad for not giving all the info, I am in prison and need to mine to get time reduced
Ah haha, no idea in that case ๐
In prison, or on foot in general, the minable rocks have a "look" to them, with a greenish, or purpleish vein running through them
My friend has gone to the life of crime, this makes me sad ๐ฆ LOL
hahahaha no no, this stupid scanning inspections, stopped my ship and killed the engines but forgot I was decoupled so I got arrested because I did not stop as he wanted lol
I figured it was something like that. I was trying to help one of the patrols one time when they had a bandit engaged, one of my rounds accidently hit the patrol ship and it was gloves off for them. Came at me like I was an ugly dog. Did my time, wiser for it now.
How many scu's will the hull A have?
Itโs listed as 48 @proud jasper
how often do the sell points refresh where you can sell again once it is full ?
@proud jasper yeah but that means more cost to operate and bigger target for pirates
Especially for hull d and e since the cargo hold is open
Yeah meaning easy target
Yeah
do we know if those are final numbers yet
Nope
Jazzed for the Hull C, my 400i is the LTI token for it. The cargo refactor will be huge and a massive game changer. Hard to imagine how it is going to go besides probably very Rough LOL
Feel bad for the people having to load the hull e lol
Gonna be tedious and very very immersive lol gonna have to pay loaders
I live near a port that handles large container ships, it is a sight to see. I hope CIG makes the process an event in and of itself. But let's not be so realistic that it is game breaking process
is there a loadout for the prospector to mine the 6500+ rocks on lyria? just found a 40% 6700 mass rock and couldnt even get the bar past 15% with my current loadout
You need to use Surge with this, I would also recommend the Stampede, especially if it is difficult to hold it in the green
A 5K rock at 40% is more than the 32SCU than the Prospector can hold.
yeah ive used the surge and stampede before, thinking more ab a specific mining head that would be better for the task?
Lancet if you're mining quant.
Helix is most powerful but not good for quant
But either way, for a rock that big solo you'll need surge and stampede.
Is there still a way to block explosive damage from a rock on a mole?
I think you used to be able to use a certain shield
I've managed to get up to 6k rocks with just a stampede and +power modules, but it takes a lot of patience
i'm personally iffy on the surge, if the rock is too big you blast it and don't get it to the green, and have to guess when you would, or it drops too fast out of the green even with a stampede
lets see which of these 2 upgrades I will use up first
RAFT -> hull B will be used when the Raft turns out to be less usefull as advertised
Prowler -> hull D is a step of me propably upgrading my Hull C into a D in case I want something bigger
What is the formula for how long it takes a quantum drive to cool down dependent on distance?
Thoughts on:
I use the fastest
the question is specially on a journey of only 2 million km IE mining
It's minor but hey every bit helps
That's a new one to me, spawned in my ship in the pad and then got impounded
I use the siren, the second fastest. It is slow to spool up to max speed but that is useful when I am in the belt and wanting to jump a few 100Km to try a new area. I'm a fan of the VK-00 also, she comes out of the gate hot so you will make better time. Because I'm actually in a clear shot from the belt to CRU-L1 with normally only about 6M Km or so of travel, the Siren works really well for me.
I used the default QT for the longest time. So you really don't have to upgrade the drive. The only must is the laser head to a lancet. All else is optional
If you are good about scooping quant AFTER you break if all you have plenty of time to get landed. Just nice little bit of bonus time
You know when you jump 1 M km and the cool down is one second and when you jump 30 M km the cool down is 20 seconds? What is that formula for time it takes to cool given different distances?
So the newest mining bug is once you bust a rock PIECES won't scan
So rip mining ATM just cost me 20+scu of quant
It's been a few months since I was around, is trading and space truckin' any more viable thesedays?
hit it with the fracture mode laser real quick and it should rescan
just a tap
Throttle at 0!
^that
It works in extract too but if you hit aan extractable rock with it you don't know what you're scooping up is worth it
my biggest issue is finding good rocks in a descent amount of time haha
ya im greedy and dont want to waste the space haha
I tend to have good luck with it myself. If ten minutes go by and no joy on quant I'll just scoop up something else with decent numbers.
And I tend to get lucky with fracturing. I've gotten a hold full of 100% quant on more than one occasion, and >80 on many more, from an inital scan of about 8% pre fracturing.
had a few issues getting the ore sales terminal to work so I stick with quant strictly
@viral lake nope it turns them into ghost rocks
Like the ones you cannot scan whole
But it seems to roll all the pieces
Believe me i tried all that junk
sounds like its time to swicth servers
^
Someone in chat said it's happening to them too
I'll hop and try but if not that's a deal breaker
guys whats the max size rock the porspector can break
Yes
5100 is the most I've done without surge or w/e
5k with lancet and no surge
about that yes
I hear there's rocks big enough that you need mult-crew in some capacity, but with SURGE and the right tool head I've yet to encounter them
But yea losing my 2 100% cracked quant rocks is bs
usually surface mining
It's been a few months since I've been around and I normally mine in the belt, though
asteroid belt goes in the 5000 mass while surface goes toward 8200 mass
Huh
You can crack everything in the belt no prob
that seems arse backwards... between the environment and... well... impact with the surface, you'd figure rocks in space would be bigger than on a planet.
Imma server hop and see if that helps otherwise i guess I'm taking a mining break
I figured I've lost about 20% of possible ore because of that bug
So it's a common thing then, fuck
How did they break this so bad
Maybe it's their fix for mining being better than bounties
I understand that this is the true 3.16 branch that didn't drop originally, so it'll have new bugs
Just an even worse bug than the normal ghost rocks
The non-scanable rocks is mainly the server
Like i got 10scu of quant outta a 40% rock cause my two good ones were busted
That hasn't happened to me yet but I'm sure it will
This is the first time and i got three loads last night
Someone in chat said it's happened to him a ton
I wonder if it's a server health issue
I just server hopped so we'll see
Let me know how it goes
I will! Playing with my new stick setup
Awesome, what did you go with?
Thrust t6000m decent so far
I wish I could get a stand alone slide throttle for my mining
First rock all chunks scanned
I run dual TM t16000 sticks. I could never go back to keyboard and mouse. Totally changed the game for me. Plus the you can use the slider on the stick for laser control.
means taking my hand off the KB to do it, but it's supernice not sure i could do a dual stick though
it's worth the learning curve (imo) being able to control all 6 axis at the same time.
Even just having the stick over mouse is pretty dang nice
Anyone want to do cargo with me
how do i change the mining UI
as it stands can not see anything on their horrible UI
so how do the miners work around the fact you cant see the charge level?
Just got back into the game after ages. Just downloaded it, what is now the best way to get my foot in the door and start earning money. Is it still bounty hunting missions or is prospect mining and or trading a viable option?
Wait I can upgrade my ship to the Hull C. Does this mean it's flyable? ๐ฎ
Bounties are solid. You can get 100k from ERT's. Trading is great as well, but the hard part is trying to get your cargo full since inventory is shared across servers. Mining is good too with a ship, but lackluster with Roc Mining
Is there a current method which has the most yield of UEC?
If you're going for quick money, it's bounties. If you're looking for a larger return but you're willing to wait it's mining.
@opaque tapir you get used to it honestly.
i found a quant cluster with a 34% 18% 14% and some 2s if anyone is interested
so what can you do if you break a rock and the rocks are clumped together, how do you separate them
I'm not sure you can
Is the bug where hadenite spawns inside other geometry known? I just had a large deposit inside a larger non-mineable bolder
Yurp sadly pretty common
Welcome Back! Lots and lots have changed over the past year or two. BH is still very lucrative and you build reputation. Mining is also really nice to earn coin and can offer over 250K aUEC per run once you have the Prospector configured correctly. Both are good, BH would be the easiest to get started if you don't already own a Prospector. ROC mining is messed up and too much of a hassle to earn decent cash any more (for now).
None of the Hull Series are in game at the moment, these are concept sales. You will get a loaner Caterpillar and Hercules C2 for the Hull C.
Thank you! I went ahead and did it for the C2 and Caterpillar lmao
I have my CCU from the 400i to Hull C sitting on Ready. I let the 400i be my LTI token ๐
Haha that's awesome ๐
The C2 Hercules Starlifter is fantastic ship and of course, what can you say about the CAT, such a standard bearer for the ships of SC
New wrecks have crazy loot tables in their boxes( but they seem to despawn if you multitool them) AND the commodity boxes from the ones in space no longer seem to despawn when you finish the mission
BH?
Bounty Hunting
Also, they have changed a lot of things. When you spawn, all your stuff and ships are there. If you grab a ship and fly to another station (not the main orbital station at the planet) ... All your stuff will be missing in your inventory because it was left back on the planet you spawned on.
Is mining non QT more profitable than illigal monitor missions?
I doubt it
Is it a good idea to buy a connie taurus with aUEC to haul refined quant from ARC L1 to ARC instead of using my cuttie black? will the reduced number of trips make up for the expense of the new ship?
That's basically what larger cargo ships are for. Less trips =less time wasted running
But how good is the ROI? How many runs in the connie will save enough time to pay back its cost?
Idk i don't run cargo
ok, hopefully someone else will respond later.
I use a Taurus but you can also look at the Freelancer MAX with 120 SCU
MAX is inexpensive, maybe the cheapest per SCU out there.
It can be, the idea is to focus on Bexilite but anything above Agricium will work. With enough refinery jobs, you can pull a decent return. I would say, consider it maybe 1/3 your Quantainium return (just to use a ballpark guage) so a run with quan that got you 1.5 Mill would be a 500K aUEC run
Just using a prospecter what is the highest ammount of money you can get from raw materials
Is it worth doing delivery missions for Red Wind?
i would say just over a day of mining can pay it back, i specifically got the taurus for hauling refined quant and a bit of side bounty hunting too, can take almost 6 full prospector loads (about a mil and a half) so i would say itโs a good investment, i mean i love my taurus ๐
140,000
Ah
If you have good runs that average 3000 units of quant, you can pay off the Taurus in 12-14 runs
about 137K aUEC for raw Quan
RAW is half (as a rule) of what you would make refined.
Anyone got a good cargo route?
:D
I use sc-tools but those profits are meh and the stuff is often sold out
I've got approx 250k and a Taurus
Those are about the best you can get

Thanks!
@proud jasper I'd highly suggest getting a bigger ship to haul quant
your only able to-do 1 run at a time with the cutty
Itโs always better to refine, in a prospector itโs never more than 6k and you double your load payout
I don't have anything to carry the stuff though. But i am gonna buy the drake cutlass for roc mining so i might aswell use it for mining mining
You can always rent the Cutlass black for like 35k. Save up several days of refined goods, then rent and haul. The profit for refining a good load from a single prospector pays for it...let alone several loads.
Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for
Is there a mass to SCU conversion? Like quantanium is n% of mass of rock, times X equals potential SCU?
Brilliant, thank you
holy shit thatโs helpful
I have a mining guide pinned in this channel
with loadouts and more etc in it
def check it
Looking for more mining crew. Argo Mole here. DM
Is Lyria still the best place to quant mine?
And are there any spots there better then others?
100 mass=2scu as far as i'm aware
100 mass= 1 scu
Unless it changed it used to be 100-2
Has to be 2 based on the table above
Yeah I was wrong my bad
All good
yus
Prob the best imo easy to load and unload
when you get into the red zone of quantanium does it burn the quant and decrease yield or is it just hazardous?
Might want to consider saving a little extra and getting the Freelancer MAX instead. Better ROC carrier and way more cargo space
but that's only if you break in the red zone right?
how can I lock scan mode to the front instead of following head tracking?
Itโs a โbugโ, there are a couple of issue council reports open, but no sign of a fix for a while yet
ok, at least that means I can find a work around
Itโs a real pain with trackIR, I ended up disabling it for mining
i like being able to look to see how far from my current heading a ping response is to see if its worth turning. It is also good when breaking asteroids to keep track of how I'm maneuvering/coasting.
@hollow sedge if there is any red when you break
Iโm thinking real seriously about upgrading my mole to the Orion.
i think there are people who bots on commodities machines I'm even almost sure and it's getting frustrating โ ๏ธ
Nah you just share with the entire world
yes i know but there are guys bots with auto clicker for sure
So, if I had a A2, whatโs the best cargo route? And how much could I be looking at per run
@odd snow i caved. i have 2 orions
Yeah, the beauty of this is I still keep the mole as loaner, and get a prospector as well.
their system is crap actually price variations have no real influence and the quantities are not suitable, that's why the guys spend their time on the same thing and push some ppl to bot
for several weeks with my friends we tested new transport of less traded goods with a lot of quantities transported to see if we had an influence on market prices, and you know what there was no impact on the price
Prob planned "soon" would like to see the demand for junk ore go up if it sells out
uh yea, it isnt implemented yet
the only variation there is is with the Price Notice things
what is the best ship for cargo running in your guys's opinions?
those with the largest freight capacities
Hercules C2, M2, caterpillar etc
mm so cargo is ruled by commodity price alerts now?
I would like to ask the CIG team if they can quickly implement vehicle delivery missions from the high level of reputation in delivery. For example to deliver nova tanks, rock mining vehicles, and small ships that can enter in a Hercules. I think they can add it quickly.
Cargo replenishes x per minute depending on commodity/location. If you're lucky you can get a full load, if not then very little it's shared between servers. I can do 70k profit on a full load of diamonds in my Carrack at quiet times I can fill it 100% in one go
c2
cat is 4.6, c2 is 4.9 and m2 is 5.2
c2 has the best cargo capacity by at least 100 scu
So, if I had a A2, whatโs the best cargo route? And how much could I be looking at per run
Bro ppl donโt usually share their routes. That takes away from their ability to max profit. Plus these ppl have found those routes by trial and error. I wouldnโt bet on shortcutting that process.
Oh okay
My suggestion is to start by looking at the journal as it shows price updates for who is selling what in excess and whoโs buying due to short supply.
Mix in some other stuff at the terminal for those pickups and see how it goes.
If I but a MISC Prospector any important knowledge I need to know and should I focus on that as my second ship after the Titan
Humboldt on Lyria for titanium and gold. Woodruff in Ita for Astatine
Also check out Jach Axton on YT for trade info
The Prospector is what will make your SC goals come true. It is the goose that lays the golden egg
I heard go all industrial upgrades pretty much but some say it's not great for profit
No need to upgrade anything but the laser head.
Prospector not great for profit?
I've made 10's if not 100's of millions of aUEC with it
Average over a million aUEC per day
Prospector is great once you know what you're doing. Mining isn't for everyone though
I get annoyed by the repetition but I've never hand mined since Multi tools have never worked for me or my brother. (I have used a rover so I hope thats similar)
When i first started mining it felt worthless cause i had no idea what was worth what, but once you learn it's much better
@forest spade basically the same as a roc but usually easier if you have the right laser
Nice I've wanted one but some people prefer bounty hunting but this seems really profitable (Yes I just hunted for that GIF)
hey new here and want to get into mining is freelancer ok for mining?
Only prosp and mole mine in space
Cross has a guide pinned in the channel, it's great
@forest spade easy to pull a couple hundred k a load with refining
There are multiple methods of earning in SC, and more to come (VIP escort, salvage, selling items, etc), however, in the current sandbox rendering of the game we have Bounty Hunting, Box Deliveries, Trade and Mining. Of the game loops for earning, I find that mining is what I enjoy and can earn the most doing. Not everyone likes fishing or hunting, but some of us do. Not everyone likes mining or want to take the time to learn to do it correctly, that's fine. I hope they have fun at whatever they decide it the right fit for them in the 'verse.
Mining in sc is unique as well cause it actually takes some focus unlike other games cough Eve cough
LOL
I am totally industrial in my approach in the game. I have trade and mining covered, I will have salvage covered. I might do VIP, but I'd rather be out exploring and turning a profit.
I have the CCU to the Vulture, just waiting like I am for the HULL C
It'll be tempting to buy it for irl cash if it works at all like i hope
Anyone looking for a laser operator....needing 1.35 mil
Just in case anyone is curious, the little boxes from derelicts are not worth dragging home lol 10-20 of an ore
any mining expert here?
The guide pinned here is a good start otherwise ask away
you should know how something works before buying
so ive refined some ore but my avernger titan cant handle all the goods and i can not click the collect button.
Does the full cargo need to be taken in one go?
can do partial pickups?
wheres best place to rent a crago moving ship?
and i can not select my hire prospector to move the refined goods it seems
The refiner will rent you a cutty black
you can rent a freelancer as well
Either works, but yes you need to be able to haul the whole load at once or it won't let you take it
well im broke and ive got like 11 orders to pickup i better start saving for a cutty black
something change very recently with destroyed ships? blew up my prospector twice today and lost the mining head both times. dont recall it being that way for the past while
how did you blow up
@opaque tapir the cutty is 50k for a day
50k is not cheap
just seen it at arc 1 for 38 K?
went too hot on a quant rock and 2nd time something happened to my power that made me fall down to the surface and blew up
Wait is it only 38k i might be misremembering
38k isn't much just sell a load of unrefined stuff and you're good to go
50k is 1/4 of a prosp load of refined quant
Oh snap you've gotten that much mined with the rental??? You poor soul
What are you going for mining wise?
You're gonna just get crazy frustrated with the rental. You're better off renting a cutty+ roc and going gem mining
I managed to get diamonds with the rental
Sadly diamonds aren't worth much
When you get enough funds to rent the cutty/freelancer to deliver your stuff, rent a roc as well and go grab hadanite way way better until you can buy your own prosp
Go for laranite if you in a rental, u can make a decent amount with a full load of laranite
Altho renting an roc will get u a lot more money than a rented prospector
I bought the MPUV Cargo but I am extremely disappointed, it is very useless and not effective because no quantum possibility and the missions are not suitable for this .. what is missing it's like real plane "FMC (Flight Management Computer)" to program waypoints and others data for autopilot and cruise flight but also assisted approaches. what could have been great this system implanted on the MPUV Cargo.
what they should have done was a similar system in hud screen ship design
this will be great for the MPUV Cargo single planet delivery missions, with this system imagine that you have take off block the altitude and activate the autopilot directs you to the destination point.
it can be really good you just have to put an adapt flight system and missions for delivery and flights from A to B on the same planet it can be quick to do
Storing the ship will Stop the Countdown
Glad to see the system has inspired you to pick an honest life of a miner
@hollow sedge storing stops timer
I have a guide pinned in channel if ya need.
@lone condor can't really start with that but you can work your renting a roc
or jumping in people's mole crews.
@kindred flame check out my mining guide in this channel.
@forest spade @opaque tapir
yall aswell :)
anyone know which moon is the best for mining quant, some people saying MT planets are the go to now, is that viable?
I watched alot of guide I just wanna mine with someone
You will find the Prospector to be a fun ship and that mining isn't too difficult. I would recommend getting the Lancet Laserhead first thing. Everything else is optional.
From there you will want to practice with easier ores
I would recommend working out of CRU-L1 and test mining on the asteroids floating around there.
The mouse wheel is awful for laser power control, so if you have a joystick with an analog slide, I would map it to that
Charge up and keep it in the green, don't let the red zone charge up, it could get ugly
If you want to practice mining a little deeper in space, then you will want to be able to find Aaron's Halo, which isn't too difficult from CRU-L1
From CRU-L1 set your Quantum to ARC-L3. When you are in a jump, once you get about 12.5M Km, hold the B button to cancel your jump. Now to to town. I wouldn't bother with getting Quantianium until you are comfortable with the process
Let me know if I can help you with anything, just DM me and I'll be glad to see what I can do.
Also, if you want to work on a surface, Yela is good for astatine and laranite.
I have been doing fine on Lyria
Second Lyria, rocks have been real iffy lately since that last update though. I might try one of the MT moons later tho
Most of the surface miners have been reporting good success on Lyria
Mt moons are a scam for quant
you'll end up wasting time

Well, no Hull-C for another while! ๐ฆ
They don't need to rebalance trade for a while longer neither then ๐
I bet they won't do anything to trade until they make cargo have to be manually loaded
Thanks! Not really having an issue finding rocks on Lyria, though. Just referencing the uptick of more low % quant rocks, underground rocks, unscannable rocks, un-mineable rocks, rocks giving incorrect % of quant...etc.
You can still find good quant relatively easily there, but just noticed an increase of those issues in particular lately. At least in my, and other's recent experience there.
whats the max amount you can make with Delivery missions?
45k i think

That involves going into a bunker and pewpewing to drop off
Correct!
You can land your cargo ship on the harbor and take a smaller ship down though

What's the best way to really profit running a nomad? My goal is a C2 to continue cargo and whatnot.
