Scrap is completely bugged don't buy it you can't sell it
Yea gem scanning bugged so we won't see them unless almost on top of them
I'm completely boned until they fix scrap š¤·āāļø
either that or loose out on 100k
I suspect it's working as designed. CIG is systematically eliminating methods of acquiring wealth.
Lorville lost my ship with 90kUEC worth of titanium.
go to his orbital station
you can retrieve your ship there
I would be very interested to know if that works, and the cargo is recovered
As in Orison, your ship can be retrieve in both Orison and PO
but dunno why, Lorville specifically doesn't work sometimes, but his station do
How do you do cargo trading how do you know what to buy?
And where do you sell it to?
I usually use this tool
it helps alot
https://sc-trade.tools/trade-routes
Already claimed the ship. Lost the cargo. Didnāt know I couldāve flown up there.
Newb here. I went on a search mission in a mine and I ran into someone. They had their gun trained on me so I fragged them. Then 3 more came and I killed another. The others took cover and we exchanged fire but then I couldnāt figure out how to reload and I booked out. I couldnāt tell if they were NPCS so I decided to go back to check them out. They started firing and I bounced. No crimestat so far. In detected area tho.
Iāll do that next time for sure. It was a hard pill to swallow, losing my first 90k
yeah :/
What the hell happened is what I am wondering
Don't go to Grim Hex, it does the same and I didn't find any way to retrieve yet
@sharp latch what kind of cargo ship do you use?
A MSR.
Thank you! Just grabbed myself a ROC solo š
Itās the biggest ship I got, itās pledged so just trying to work up to larger cargo ships.
nice
If you fired first and made a kill, unless the player already had a crime stat you were killing NPCs.
that's a good sized ship for cargo
Itās my daily driver since Iāve had it. It does everything decently.
I had one pre-wipe. I'm down to a titan now
The door sensors donāt work properly in 3.15 so itās my only issue with it. To clarify I canāt disable the sensors. So typically first time on board I turn off the sensors and leave the doors open.
Since itās not working I have to wait for the doors to open. Not too bad but just annoying since it worked in 3.14.
Thanks. Where can I check out the laws so I know how to avoid being a criminal?
all of those crusader ships are a little nuts with the doors. Only think I really disliked about them
@split anchor
Iāve been told. Never cared to try the Hercules even when it was free to fly in PTU and during the showdown.
oh I loved the herc. That was my cargo ship. Dream to fly
I might go C2 instead of caterpillar this time though.
That's what I'd recommend.. I had both. Herc holds more, flies better in atmosphere
looks sexier
imagine losing more than a million for a 30k xD
Iāve lost for no reason. Lol I know the pain. I just wasnāt expecting to lose anything so early on into 3.15
It's it worth doing cargo in a ship with only 4 scu?
nah
you can rent a freelancer for 33k though, that has 66scu
I've been thinking of trying that since people seem to be making money on trading
the rented prospector is a waste of time and cash, the ROC and Cutless are profitable, but very slow going. Mercenary missions have been meh.
If you have somewhere to drop boxes you can do package delivery missions.
Hey there errybody, quick question. I keep seeing comments on people losing money to grieving players. Do you lose a portion of or all of your aUEC when someone kills and loots you?
Speaking of mercenary missions, whatās wrong with the unauthorized monitor missions.
Tried doing one last night, it sent me to a surface security outpost, found one monitor and couldnāt find any more. Also I was in a ārestricted areaā the entire time. I was worried I was going to get a crime stat.
I didnāt get to compete the mission but felt it was impossible to complete. Anyone else share the problem?
3.15.1 is addressing it, just had a read.
cargo viable yet?
Has been this patch
looks like they've fixed the male character being stuck in the prospector in the PTU
WE GOT'EM LADS!
Sold off my refinery orders so the .1 patch didn't wipe them. The "Buy" values are referring to Refining costs.
holy pis
The best part? I risked nothing but my time until the final sale run.
teach me the way
u mined that quant?
thats insane
im finna pledge for the mole
and start saving up again to get the orion when its actually done in 4 years
i need to reset my character cause hes all the way in fuckin new babbage
Why
thats where i set my home
Lancet head, with either Surge/Brandt/Reiger C3 or Surge/FLTR-XL/Reiger C3 modules.
Doesn't change where your stuff gets delivered.
Yeah thatās going to be fun for iae
Yeah just remember
I have my Taurus parked there and all my junk for trading so thatās fun
I intentionally set my Home to NB because of easy Garage access.
Every. GD. Time
Might have to invest in a dragonfly fly but I only got like 200k rn lol
Thanks for giving me an extra motivational boost to grind bounties on the aurora, was getting kind of jaded trying to get to 3M for the prospector plus wiggle room
The kicker? That was a bit over a quarter of what I intended to haul. And was mined in 2 evenings.
humm 2 evenings ?
About 3hrs per night.
i could always dupe a rental into letting me change modules
IDK how to do that since the Hangar is disabled for now.
well basically if rent a prospector you shouldn't be able to change modules
but if you crash it, do a claim and expedite it
you just alt+f4 after you expedite
and voila it shows as if it was yours and you can change the mining head and add modules
but it will still keep the rental timer
yup
so you are basically using a rental to get a higher aUEC yield
while already pre buying the components for the prospector you are saving to buy
weird logic
Of course, I CCUed my referral Gladius up to a Prospector, so I don't have to worry about that ever again.
but it kind of makes sense
If they do a promo on a prospector I will
but at the current value I don't see myself investing that much in an alpha stage game
Can you retrieve a ship at a mining facility? I try where you spawn the rovers and it gives me an error
Only small ones. The 100i, M50, and other Size 1 ships.
Pisces, unfortunately, classes as Size 2.
And nothing will spawn on the bigger pads.
mnnn ok so my game crashed when i was loading the lancer full of laranite in a station. I came back and the game says its stored at that mining station
but it cant retrieve it
shouldn't i have like a way to claim it the same way like with 30k?
Did you check the terminal at the station when you logged in?
Ouch. Lost it, then.
Damn... so there is no way to recover if the game crashes? you loose everything? If so ill just stop trading... not worth then :/
With the 30k protection, it lists the last location the ship was at, but allows you to Retrieve it as normal. If it doesn't, then...
tip for you roc miners. Normally the rock scans don't tell you what the rock is. After you scan a few, hold the scan button down and move it around the rocks and the contents eventually shows up. from the ship scanner, that is.. when scanning gem icons
Why is your game crashing so much? What pc specs are you running?
No its not crashing much, but It does sometimes, and I dont want to loose everything :/
Ill try to relog and see if i get the option
What if you die like when you are running around the terminals? Still hapens a lot, but if the cgame did not crash or disconnect, will the ship still be there after you respawn and come back?
yes
If you die, but are on the same server, your ship should still be there.
but most likely you wont end up in the same server
All right, sounds better at least
As long as you hop to and get back to it quickly.
i mean i lost 300k of laranite yesterday because i double requested landing permission
i didnt make it to the trade terminal on time
Wat.
and when i got back to the hangar i could only file a "claim" on my ship
for some reason it didn't even apply a fine
wow
Yeah, known issue right now, if the station autostores your ship it's destroyed.
Always manually store it when you pass the terminals.
but that only happens if you request ATC permission to land two times right ?
Nope, that doesn't change anything with this issue.
From my own testing, anyway.
weird because the other times i did store it manually it worked okay
it was just that one time that the first ATC request kind of bugged out
so i requested another time
and even letting the timer run out, which i usually do
Renting a prospectors and the equipping it with better modules. Do you lose them once the rental expires?
You canāt change the modules
Well youāre not supposed to iirc
you're not supposed to do a lot of things
Yeah
Can you link to the comment?
can anyone tell me approximately how much I could net profit from 66scu legal trading?
It's simple, rent a prospector, crash it and die, go to the hangar console to file a claim, click to expedite the claim and immediately alt+f4 when you do that
when you come back the rental timer should disappear and you will be able to see your ship as if you had purchase it and change modules etc...
bear in mind that the rental timer IS STILL GOING
you can't equip rental prospectors with moduals
you just can't see it
Interesting, and I keep the modules?
if you remember to remove them for the stock ones before the rental timer is down is should
I'll try this thanka
ship buildout is locked on rentals, you can't change anything
I tried yesterday
ok, i'll try it now and i'll show you
i'll even record it give me a second
or more like 10 minutes cause i need to go to a mine to get a mining head
if you say you've done it, I don't doubt it. did you just bring it up in the loadout and change it? Mine was locked solid
I got three modules to try, no dice
and let me tell you bub, that rental is freaking worthless with a stock build.
exactly
that's why if this is still working
as it was 1 week ago
it would made things a little bit more profitable
absolutely.. I'll change what I'm doing now immediatly.
i know yesterday i managed to do it with a freelancer
and managed to access it from ship loadout as it were mine
it did do the normal rental price but i had access to the modules
ok, don't want to see you waste your auec, but I did just try it and would not let me install a module
in the ship terminal?
yup
wait then it's still working
don't worry about my uaec
i can make it up pretty fast
rock on then š
holy cow
it was just the ui it was assuming i asked for 30 days
but the game is so screwed, that i haven't even summoned the prospector yet after renting it
and already ...
i need to file a claim xD
yeah it's annoying. Have to claim all rentals the first time now
ok now we play the waiting game
2 minutes
and i hope to got i'm right otherwise i'm gonna look like a fool
I'm really hoping you are right š
worse case scenario i'm mining 3k rocks
xD
ok the expedite time should be up
it was 2 minutes
logging back in
exactly, which are hard to find and the non-quantanium minerals are like 2% at best
unless of course you're farming aluminum
yeah, the profit mining has been nerfed so hard
and it works
no timer anymore also
but it still ticking time
but i can change modules now
huff ... i'm not an idiot, was kind scared i would end up a fool here xD
so how did you get rid of the timer? I think I missed something
well you either crash it
or just rent it and do the claim
you expedite the claim
and alt + f4 after
wait for the time for the expedite ( 2 minutes )
give a minute or more extra for safety
log back in
and the rental ship should show up as if it was your own
so rent, expedite, alt-f4, expedite, then you're golden?
just expedite one
once
then you alt+f
argh
alt+f
goddamit
you know what i mean
you wait outside the game for the time it should take for the expedite to take place
or more
then log back in
ah ok
i discovered it by mistake actually
so i'm just recreating the steps i did before and they seem to work
a lancet and surge module on a rental prosp will be a game changer
@raw shell did you rent a prospector ?
Not yet, getting the most out of this roc session
ah okay, just wanted to know if someone else is able to replicate it
gonna get a lancet head just to be sure i can change every module
since i was in hurl 12
hurl 1
just one more hadanite patch š
wrote your name down though. I'll definitely let you know what I find
@hollow sedge do they still expire?
š
i think so
at least my previous freelancer did
but i also know that this should have been patched a long time ago and before they actually did not expire
so i don't know if CIG actually patched it or if it's a random thing
hmm I'll find out
but i saw a reddit thread a year ago or so of people that simply kept them
I know there used to be instances of rentals never expiring
i guess this is the same logic but they do expire but give you loadout access
which in the prospect case makes it worth the rental price
Someone buy my nft chicken so I can buy the mole
can someone send me all the current prices for ore and stuff, tryna calculate the total refined value of 9 hauls of mine
Rented a warden in 3.14. it stayed in my fleet forever, it said expired but I was still able to retrieve it.
is it possible to still swap the mining lasers from rented ships? through the hangar trick
i was thinking of doing it to earn some credits once argo mole is free next week
No
Hull C just got delayed into 3.18 š¦
Isnāt that the biggest of the hullās
C is the mid class
Ahh
C is about 150m long
D is 200m
E is 340m
How yk itās free? I swear Iām never in the loop on this game haha
The IAE starts this Friday
what's an IAE?
Intergalatctic Aerospace Expo
Roberts Space Industries is the official go-to website for all news about Star Citizen and Squadron 42. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch, as well as all the community tools used by our fans.
you can rent for free ships for 24hours
since its the anniversary event
depending on the day you can rent RSI ships or MISC or Anvil, etc.
oh nice
It's 48hours for the ship rentals
Ah dope
It actually is. i'm running around with a lancet on a rented prospector lol
You do realise that they disabled hangar access recently in the last couple of patches
they did? damn
How am i doing this with a rented prospector then?
:/
well i dont have access to my hangar
No one does
@hollow sedge It worked! I wonder if they changed something though. I noticed my rented cutty black was also missing the timer, and it looked like I could change components on it too.
it's via vehicle loadhout
so you managed to bypass the red lock from the loadout
hope i can manage some kind of solution for the event
so i can get me some tasty credits hehehe
yeah
rented prospector:
crash it
go to the terminal, file a clai
claim
click expedite
as soon as you do alt+f4
and reconnect after the time it would take for it to expedite
I did that when I first rented it, then flew to PO to add modules
2 minutes
I didn't need to crash it though, everything I rent requires a claim
i'm assuming he already claimed it xD
hardly... this prospector is fucking worthless without upgraded mining head and modules
the way I see it, he scammed me when I first rented this pos
this probably gets asked a lot but, once they put the orion in the game,
they will add bigger asteroids right?
or will the orion go mining like the prospecto and mole but with an added refinery
I guess you can't scan the masses of boxes at ranges any more huh? that sucks
now you have to fly to ever single scanned box to tell if it's one rock or seven
so just bought a Prospector in game and was about to fit it out with stealth parts but it seems there's no change to signatures in Erkul? is this a bug?
There already is giant asteroids in the Halo
no, it's because they have not rebalanced yet after making all components in a grade the same.
except quantum drives
Alt + 1,2,3
ahh ok thanks for that. bit of a shame though
whats most powerfull mining laser head for the mole? that can break a 8000 mass rock
new to running cargo I have an Andromeda any good routes?
Astatine & Titanium, sort of
You won't be a millionaire fast though: https://sc-trade.tools/trade-routes?q=%257B%2522ship%2522:%2522Constellation%2520Andromeda%2522,%2522investment%2522:250000,%2522showDetails%2522:true,%2522minQuantityPerMinute%2522:3000%257D
thanks a bunch
I think the MOLE is going to also be the ship of the month for December subscribers
finally got my Prospector fitted out & came across 5 unscannable Quant clusters lmao. so cursed
waste of an hour
f
so basically its bounties or bust?
nah alot of people are doing well mining/trading it's just rng buggy bs
quantity seems really low
on my 2nd trip out and first cluster I came across is scannable Quant. typical rng
I think if you run into unscannable clusters jumping out 100km and reinstancing could help
u in a mole?
propsector lmao, going to have to leave loads behind
dangggg
deeelicious
plenty
best mining locations for the moons on microtech?
like is there a spot on a specific moon that just has a ton of quant spawns
cause i swear the wiki says theres supposed to be a ton on all 3 of the moons and i've found garbage nodes of 5% and less
Hi guys are all box delivery missions bugged..i keep getting this, actually i tried about 20 times and the boxes keep bugging out in my ship also, its the Aegis Titan.
Yes. The most recent PTU patch fixes this, which should go Live this weekend for IAE
Ah cool, ty,
Don't even know how trading works lol... is it just buying resources and sell them.somewhere else with profit ?
buy somewhere that's selling cheap/overstocked & sell to somewhere that's understocked. pretty competitive right now though with lots of people trading
whats most powerfull mining laser head for the mole? that can break a 8000 mass rock
Helix 2 i think
huh okay ill give it a look, thank you ^^
Yw, just don't buy the Helix 1 cuz it only fits on the prospector :)
Howdy fellas! Im looking for some more hands that want to get into mining but dont have any ships! My group has 3 Moles and are in need of some hands to keep the operation running! Please hit me up if ur interested in this "org"
oh wow yeah trading is not very profitable
good god
why would i do trading with these shabby profits
any routes with atleast 5000 AUEC/MIN ? in something like a taurus
You could also use modules
With surge + optimium + stampede you can break any rock.
Helix is great for non-quanta rock
But if you do quanta, it's too instable and a Lancet is required (it's possible with helix, but the instability is so high you will lose a lot of time, and probably die trying)
So if you want to mine quanta, use a lancet with the 3 modules. You will be able to break anything (bigger I got was 8200 mass with 49% quanta)
Anyone hae any good shots for ROC mining?
Were can i buy the Vulture ? Hand some one know the price ?
where do you buy the consumables for mining i cant find it, like im at arc-L1 but cant find it on the monitor
Go to the refinery
i did i am here but like i dont see them on the monitors
Meant to say any good spots
the option to buy ship mining stuff is not here...
Use scroll
anybody know whats hapening 4 example when i had a ship with maybe 10 or 15 scu and refined quantanium and hav from 1 refinery 25 scu. can i transport this splittet?
or i had to own a ship that can take all of it?
It's not ingame yet, it should be there in 3.18
You will be able to buy it during the IAE
Currently the price is $140
Lorville at my c2 and its cargo, 600k auec, is this shit getting patched on 3.15.1?
and any work arounds i can do before i claim?
Believe you need a ship to haul all of it or you lose some
oh really?
Worked for my MSR multiple time, I guess C2 should be the same
i hit store at the lorville terminal did you do the same
Yup, I stored
then the ship is shown at "Lorville" but somewhat I can't retrieve it, only claim option appear
I then went to Everus Arbor, and was able to retrieve it from there
then what?
I went to Everus Arbor, the inventory/ships are shared between city/station
And dunno why, but Everus was able to retrieve my ship
im claiming another ship to fly there and check, did you fly back to lorville after to sell?
well lets just hope my ship is there and my cargo is there with it first lol still waiting on my ship to fly there
Tell me if it works once you checked please
I know smaller ships aren't eaten
But MSR sized are
If it's the same for bigger ship, ima "expand" the report on issue council
nope its not there
it says stored just doesn't tell me where i think im out 600k imo
You can't spawn it from Everus ?
ah shit
It's specific to MSR sized then :/
might worth to wait for 3.15.1
The issue is "fixed" on the issue council
https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-17526
worst part is this i just got home from work this was my first cargo run and i got a 4 day weekend i was planning on playing a ton
Maybe do some deliveries to recover :/
Once you get tier 2 there is 45k missions, which are worth
yeah i might gonna take a little break to chill out cuz that def hurt ngl
which mining head has more power on bigger rocks? helix or the impact?
Helix is better overall
Anyone wanna help a newb mine in a roc for the first time? Anyone got a ship to carry it?
I know its better but does it have the power?
thx 4 the info
yes from what i remeber
You may wish to avoid ROC mining for now or at least understand that it will be a total hassle and it will require a whole lot more time invested compared to earning potential
I rented the roc for 3 days and it took all my money and gave me 700+days
Ouch. You may wish to contribute to an Issue council report about that
Will do
So the ship to rent would be a cutty black if you dont have one, as for doing it fly low to the ground below 1k and go slow, keep scanning you will spot those little gems soon enough
Its like panning for gold, takes time but eventually you will find that big payout
One advantage of roc mining is you can carry a lot more than prospector mining the catch is, pirates can rob you for real
Hi guys, is there a way to fix the mining UI that after 3.15 does like this weird "hacky flicker" ?
No, that's a build issue as far as I know. If you find out otherwise be sure to let us know
I might be wrong, but I think I got mine at HUR-L2
A trick here to avoid pirates is to dive down to the moon from an orbital marker rather than QT to a known location.
PRO-TIP It is always daylight under OM-1 (the north pole axis of the planet/moon). So you are never in the dark as you are scanning for those itsy-bitsy TINY deposits.
Damn, ty, well lets hope that the 3.15.1 fixes it :/ mining feels trippy now š
Feels right at home to me š
I wasted 2 days trying to roc mine. Finding the gem icons takes so much time and just to find out that the ores are glitched inside a rock
I hope they can fix that bug or I totally wasted my money on roc
if it's ingame yeah. but if you paid cash then nah. It'll be good again. It's just minings turn to suffer a bit.
@frigid musk more than likely sold out of it for the moment
damn... well that makes trade routes impossible then š
presently the best way to do trade is holding smaller amounts of the most valuable stuff so it sell wuickly. And then filling the rest with moderate profit items.
same with the drug trade
rather than 20 widow
take 5 widow, 10 altru, and 5 etam to GH. it will sell way faster
interesting
the days of single commodities making a mil an hour are gone and that is a good thing
traders live and die by asset prices and demand
now you have to put in research on your routes
yep, but for starting traders this could be very hard
this is a skill game
if the big ships take all the good stuff before you get there
everything will be hard
just get creative and you can pull in nice profits from that connie
yep... i'm just afraid the grinding will be too much. š
well they said making money will be much harder in the final game
right now a good FPS player can make 55k+ doing a single 890 mission
in the future that mission will need another player or two
diluting profits
yep.. I don't mind a game being hard... just keep in mind there are casual players too you know
in star citizen you won't be rambo. traders will have protection costs to pay, gunners
etc
as long there's a good balance.
i'm all in š
but with lots of games these days.. they expect you to play for 14 hours a day.
this is a common laranite route
plus other things
you can use to make sure you're not standing there for an hour
less profit but faster profit
yeah, I was using the same ... thought I was getting rich haha
It's a very popular route, so stocks may not hold up
I understand it's ofcourse that learning curve.. to feel the best routes and commodities
at this moment I am just trying it out so i wanted a short fast route š
Yeah... ideally they would have an app in the mobi glass, but for now I do my best datamining what I can š
and you do it well... and i'm sure we all appreciate it! š
i stopped mining when they added in consumables and stuff cuz it was like i just wanna go out there and mine a rock
once you're really advanced you can do 5 jump circular routes where you buy and sell only portions of your cargo at various places
can you fit consumables to a rented pros?
once you learn that you'll be rich in no time
no
thought so
You can use a large refresh rate filter to increase your chances:
https://i.imgur.com/3XNgXCy.png
It filters out the places that don't replenish very fast š
so when a stock says 2000/min that's over all servers ?
The little (?) icon explains most of the interface, but let me know if something else is not clear š
so the more servers.. the more players... it doesn't scale?
It doesn't scale
Depending on the time of day and whether or not the patch just released, the economy will be under heavy stress
do you have any place to see live drug prices?
can anyone help a newb mie for the first time
trade tool
also if you are running drugs make sure you aren't toting more than 20ish SCU
I like using my Nomad for it
so if im sitting at a terminal will it refresh while im just sitting here or do i need to do something like rotate buy/sell or back and out, etc to get a refresh when it actually does tic in stock?
ya i got a 315p
perfect
Aw, hell. Am I going to lose my refinery jobs in afew hours???
I'm worried too
you can end it early
Im assuming yes but since its not a up in number idk
refinery jobs were preserved ā¤ļø
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YE ima check mine to confirm
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmen
anyone else hoping for a spontaneous drop of the Argo R.A.F.T. on the IAE?
does scrap work in 3.15.1? š
I know cargo hauling kinda sucks right now, but it's very peaceful to grab a C2 and go from A to B
I'm a simple man
I can grok that.
did they fix the issue with resources not stacking in the ROC?
does anyone know a good set up to solo crack 9000 mass rocks?
The helix 2 with a surge was not enough
you could try hold the laser at full power, until you can do another surge shot
It's mentioned in the patch notes as a known issue. So no it's not fixed yet. Coming in future update, their words.
Wudnt stay in the green long enuf
Cuz ye I did try that lol with two surges
Even a stampede
oh so it's managed to reach the green?
i was going to suggest a brandt module, but it seems like there is not enough power to hold the charge around that level.
i've never tried cracking something that large personally.
Yeah it's nuts how much it was taking
Anyone have any recommendations for finding laranite stock? bezdek and lathan are always empty
I think this is a two man job. two lasers going at the same time.
Ive cracked a rock like it by myself. It's just not easy and there must be better setups for it like impact and maybe torrent modules
whats a good ship to rent for cargo?
argo cargo
Anyone else having problems with trade consoles at outpost?
I can't get my ship to appear.
I don't want to do FPS stuff so I'm stuck with illegal monitoring missions.
How are other people making money?
Is it worth to do cargo atm ? Some people say yes and some say no...
If you have a big ship and don't mind the few bugs, you can make money.
I got the a2 hercules or whatever its called... the bomber
It got alot of cargo space
Yeah, that's one of the big ones
But what are the bugs then ?
Certain outposts will not recognize nearby-parked ships.
I'm not sure about the storing-ships-makes-them-unknown, but that was also a thing in 3.15
Just give up on laranite except to backfill with another commodity. Titanium, Florine, Diamonds, etc. The glory days of laranite are gone if CIG has its say
Going in and out of an outpost may kill you on the steps. Doing the duckwalk will keep you from dying. If you land at A18 or Lorville and it wants you to claim your ship, go get back in and fly to the orbital station. Then fly down in your Aurora. You will be able to trade with the ship parked at the orbital station (same space)
boys and gals, hows farming money other than bounty these days? not playing since 3.13
it's good but always bugs, LOL. You can do deliveries and build rep, then get 40K deliveries
Trade is back.
Mining is suffering at the moment. Brutal bugs for the ROC and Prospector
@north oyster do you know if selling quant at Orison is bugged?
I've never been to Orison because it destroys my computer. I keep with the known trade spots for now
Ah. Where would you sell it? Lorville?
Area18 will get you the best prices: https://sc-trade.tools/commodities/Quantainium
TDD at A18 or Lorville
On account of the larger demand
I havent been to A18 in forever
It's not worth 800 units of Quant to go that far
I'll go to NB since I want to check out IAE anyway
orison is really buggy this patch as well, i got jail cause i stepped off train and gate sent me over the fence
Anyone elses scanning just suddenly stop working?
I tried relogging, rebooting etc but nothing will fix it
wait a min, the argo mpuv has less cargo space than the 325?
@north oyster Do you know which ones you need to start doing to gain rep? Is it the ling family one?
I've not done any of the pizza deliveries yet, sorry I can't help on that one
You can land at the space station with the cargo then take a small ship to the surface and go to the TDD
yea
so storage is shared between space stations
what about close mining station
like hur l2
No, only the linked station
just came back to mining after months
you can no longer check instability from far away right?
with the "V" visor from your ship
The Ping/Scan function of the radar has been totally 100% revamped. Overall, I see it as still broken and in need of a lot of love. The units of measurements are still messed up, scan results are sporadic at best and ping is "interesting" ... Besides for Quantainium, your stability/instability isn't going to play a huge role (imo)
Is cargo/mining something to do during free fly ?
I would stay away from trading during the expo: there will be a lot of people flying around in very powerful ships.
Ah so lots of competition or hunters
Do try out the cargo ships you were keeping an eye on though!
For flight model and feel
you might want to consider gaining rep with deliveries, some involve pve and can pay up to 40K aUEC
You can also check out Jake Axton's trade refresher course, he has some suggestions for small/medium trades if you want to go that route
Deliveries is how I began my climb from zero to hero š
maybe i can crew up with someone and do some combat too
are we assuming that with persistent hangars, weāll be able to unload cargo in our hangar and stockpile?
thatās my best idea as of now.. would work amazingly with the refactor
I wonder what kind of SCU cap private hangars will have... storage on a Space Station is limited by the station's geometry, after all.
Can you change mining heads on a rented prospector this patch?
There's a process to do it.
I wonder if this opens the door for purchasing multiple cargo hangars
Perhaps even purchasing hangars on the surface of planets for cargo
Possibilities!!
2. Alt+F4 immediately after claiming
3. Wait for claim time to complete before logging in
4. Log in and edit modules```
oh jeesh. appreciate the info! Whats the go to mining laser these days??
You do lose the modules if the rental expires without removing them.
lancet for quant
Lancet
Lancet all day.
Sweet, appreciate the help and info
It's like taking a crowbar to the green zone and prying it open.
whats the deal with the size of mining heads? They take up 2.3m scu so ya cant really buy and transport them, you gotta have the mining ship at the station you buy them from and fit them there.
tried to transport one in my msr back to the refinery i work out of mostly, ended up being far too big for the vehicle inventory
Even on my C2, the Arbor head (left over from upgrading to Lancet) doesn't fit in the empty inventory. It says 32%, but apparently its geometry has been marked incompatible?
hey so none of the drug terminals on the moons of crusader are working for me
is this a known bug?
yup š¦
Just started playing again after a couple of years. What's the current trade route meta?
Also tempted to upgrade my cat to a c2
Use https://sc-trade.tools/trade-routes and set "Minimum Refresh Rate" to at least 1000
Sweet, thanks!
Never could stand the Cat, C2 is now my daily driver.
Has the Cat price gone up yet?
On drake day
Yo, I try to spread the gospel of your site wherever I can. Really one of the 2 best tools for the game, the other being Rischwa's "CCU Game" extension
Should I wait for drake day to upgrade? Or will only the original price I paid be applied?
If you upgrade now, you'll lose the difference between the current and new Cat price. If you wait, it may go too high to CCU.
It's a toss-up, really, until we know what the new price is.
It's possible.
Only a $105 increase needed to match it, and they haven't said what the new price will be.
During Fleet Week I managed to get mine for $285 total, $115 off current MSRP
Nice
anyone wanna help me learn tradeing?
Step 1: Buy commodity from somewhere
Step 2: Deliver commodity to another location that buys it for more than what you paid
Step 3: Repeat
Oh, and
Step 0: Have ship with big cargo
Some caveats:
- Some outposts produce goods slowly, so you may have to wait
- Some delivery points may have limits on how much you can drop off
- Illegal cargo will get you fined
the rent expires? i cant see any countdown anymore
It should show up in the ASOP terminals.
what are those
The ones you spawn your ship from
Anyone get that bug while handmining where you cant store or pickup items?
Speaking of rentals, are weapons and ship components rented with REC still usable in the PU?
Havenāt touched anything to do with REC since about 3.10
Yea, neither have I, but I have like 750k REC points. Wondering if they're completely worthless or not
Has anyone run into issues equipping mining consumables in 3.15.1? I see the consumables in my inventory system, but in the Vehicle Loadout Manager, they aren't appearing under "Utility" and therefore cannot be equipped to my Prospector.
Is selling at scrapyards broken? I've parked my ship nearby but it won't show up in the sell terminal
Yeah i think scrap trading is borked for now
Well, then I have a C2 full of scrap that can't be unloaded
Where do I sell my kristals
anyone looking to mine with us?
is it true those normal delivery missions can be upgraded to 45k if you keep doing them?
Yes
Argo day couldn't come fast enough bois
The 45k ones take you to bunkers, and can involve hostile npcs.
How is ROC mining in 3.15.1?
What's the most valuable thing to mine if your hand mining/roc mining
Hadanite
Dolvine and aphorite pay almost half as much. They are still ok to mine depending on if you are having a hard time finding hadanite
so the scan center is way more up from the mining center.. any fix? roc ds
with the new inventory system, can you drag and drop cargo from your ROC onto your bigger ship that is carrying the ROC? (Such as MSR, Valkyrie etc)
how long does it take for commodities to refresh
Newb here. These box missions are driving me nuts. First mission, kill the baddies, grabbed unstable materials and loaded into cargo. Got to breaker yard and only 3 of the four are in cargo. š
Next mission, grabbed unstable materials. Can't place or drop last box. It's stuck in my arm. š
I guess this is what comes with Alpha.
I'm celebrating today ! ||Prospector pilot seat is now fixed|| !!! no more panicking to get unstuck and leave the ship in the sound of unstable alarms ringing !! No more glitching through the floor.

what mining head do people like on the prospector
fairly new to the whole cargo thing, where is the best place to start
thankyou
Lancet, for quant. Helix for everything else
Hey, is there any reason to use the power triangle while mining in a prospector? Does it affect anything?
do they plan on reducing update times for commodities?
there are alot of people running trade
From what I've heard it's a problem more unique to free fly events because everyone has bigger ships and can move more than typically able
its terrible
Not that I'm aware of. Shields to front and overclock laser. Although I still can't do the second bit :p
There“s no shield to front with bubble shields
Trying to find routes for my nomad and SC Trade Tools does nothing when I submit. Any ideas why?
First time I've used it. I click the submit button nothing changes visually.
Tweaked it to this and still nothing.
@crimson mantle mate this your program make it work for the man
you have avoid selection turned on
the second drop down
its probably excluding a lot of items and locations
Thanks for catching that but the following still didn't work:
not sure then, could just try resetting those filters if theyre restricting too many location/commodity combos
Sorry if this has been asked already, but is the flickering graphics when mining supposed to be a feature or is it a bug ?
Never mind i think i found the answer, but it sucks and i hate it.
agreed. it's annoying
is it me or does it seem like quantanium spawns have been nerfed in the halo? I've been working towards a MOLE and really was thinking of outright buying one... but then realized that since 3.15, I don't think I've run into a quantanium spawn that actually needed a mole to haul in. Maybe one or two were a couple of scu wouldn't fit into a prospector
ROC still broken?
I don't think I've seen anything over 30%
ROCs been working ok.. scanning for gems still sucks
starting to wonder if the MOLE has been made obsolete
Nope
it's a mistake to make large purchasing decisions off of a patch or two
By what? The Mole is about getting three times the ore and being able to crack bigger sources with the bigger mining heads.
well by the decrease in large quantanium deposits (or elimination.) at least that was my question, is anyone else finding 40%+ Quant rocks like I use to find in 3.14. You NEEDED a MOLE to bring that in.
Are there other ores? Sure.. those have been nerfed to 2% levels.. bexilite, agrcium, laranite.. Hardly need a MOLE for that.
But hey if filling up a MOLE's worth of tungsten and aluminum ore is your thing, rock on. I'm just asking if everyone else is seeing the quant nerf I am seeing.
It seems like you blacklisted everything š
Hit "reset" and just select your nomad and money
I haven't run across anything that needs a MOLE's power or capacity. I've come across 40%+ rocks twice and was able to extract most of it. I've been running around the Halo, HL3, and Lyria.
for ROC minables whats the best ship in terms of sensors? (and ability to carry the ROC)
seems like the aquila and msr share the same sensors package
@fleet sentinel ?
Sensors are all about the same, they are not really different in this stage of the game
For carrying the ROC, I find the MAX to be the best roll-on, roll-off ship. She's compact and easy to get in and out terrain. Plus the hydrogen scopes are best in industry and you will never run out of fuel
Taurus and most any Connie are good candidates. MSR is a little big but not terrible to use. She's just a little more expensive to operate than a slightly smaller ship. Which will cut into your net profit
cutty is my fav for ROC
very agile and once you get the hang of backing up into the bay in third person its easy
need to be able to turn fast if you ping something at 200m/s+
My favorite right now is the nomad. It is so nimble over the surface, and more stable in atmo flight than a cutty. Cutty still good though, I have used it for the purpose too. Not as easy to park the ROC in a nomad though.
I used the cutty for the a many months after buying the ROC, she does a good job. I just found the MAX made everything about ROC mining easier
Can't wait till ROC mining comes back to proper form. Well decent form.
oh yeah nomad is probably the best if it can stay on there
all it needs is for the collector to work
i havent had much trouble finding nodes if i fly fast 200m/s+ and ping on cooldown
The list of "needs" for ROC mining is rather long, LOL
as long as the list of gems you see as you extract them haha
I typically go faster 250-300
does server hopping help with luck on that? i just drove around a lot and the flew around a lot and only found 1 node of aphorite on daymar
LOL! Don't know why it happened at the time, but I originally did just that and it didn't work so that's when I got creative in trying all the options. After you said this, I tried it again and it works. Go figure.
i ROC on aberdeen
just go between hdms norgaard and anderson in a straight line thats what i usually do
i think if you stay on the pole it never gets fully dark
but im usually there or dobbs heading north
IDK what's going on with SC Trade Tools, but Gallog has been spot on for me. Especial for what I've been trading (Diamond, Distilled Spirits, and Laranite).
It took me quite a while to get a full load of Laranite (only 24 SCU) at a planetary port which was supposed to have 100 SCU. It kept doling it out to me around 5 SCU at a time. You'd die of old age trying to fill a big ship.
Wonder if medical supplies are more available and sellable?
@crimson mantle makes a hell of a website for a hella broken game play!
are you selling at loreville central business or everus harbor?
cause EH wont buy it, only trade districts
This is Free Fly. Any remotely profitable trade goods are being hit especially hard right now.
Set the Refresh rate to 1000 or more to have a decent chance at a successful run.
Made a big gamble on Trade right now.
It's paying off. I'll give a total profit in a minute.
Avoid Med Supplies. Same with Laranite.
If you switch to a smaller ship, like Cutlass Black or Freelancer, you'll do more runs, but have more overall gains.
Freefly events; just wait until the Drake day and the world is full of Cats.
is roc mining working?
Nomad is smaller (24 SCU) than a Cuttie already.
Oh I'm sorry, didn't realize you're in a Nomad.
Try Diamonds. Diamond is good.
is roc mining working???
Just made a 87% profit on my run.
My Nomad is going to be tied up at GrimHex for the foreseeable future. It's loaded down with Vice and I can't unload it LOL! Live and learn.
Oh you gotta be REALLY smart with Vice.
Smart how?
I'll leave the Nomad here and fly another ship somewhere else for a while if I have to pick the time.
You gotta think in travel time with Vices.
So, limited places that can buy/sell spices. The more travel time between Pickup/Dropoff, more chance when you get to your destination it's not gonna accept your full load. The exact same if it's the shortest route.
So you gotta find that sweet spot; not too far, but not to close. If you can create circular routes for vice, you make booku money. Think like A (location) 1 (Product)-B1, B2-C2, C3-A3, and continue ad naseum.
With the legal stuff, and cost of fuel, it's usally negligible to your bottom line if where you go doesn't have room for your supply. But for Vice, it usually isn't. You want to pick it up, and drop it off. Best profit.
Well, I've rented the Carrak so I want to use it to do some high volume. Is diamonds good for that?
Well, for legal stuff, you have two general schools of thought; High Volume, or High Frequency.
High Volume is shit the Carrack, Hull Series, or Cats. You empty one location, and fill another.
High Frequency is more Cutlass Black/Nomad/Freelancer. You make more trips.
Use High Volume for commoditites that aren't frequently traded. ||Once again, check Gallog or SC Trade Tools for accurate numbers.|| You'll be able to empty a location, but if you can't sell it right away, that starts to eat HEAVILY into you profits, cause operating those ships is more expensive. Because you're profits are faster, you run the risks of a disconnect, but you're usually going only 1 point to 1 point.
Use High Frequency for trading what everyone else is trading; you're more likely to turn a profit on a run, HOWEVER, it's no where as big as High Volume. If you disconnect, you're out less money as well.
It helps to know when you use High Volume vs. High Freq as well.
Peak hours in your country? Use High Freq. Off Hours, say early morning? Use High Volume.
Case in point, i'm East Coast USA. From 6PM to 3AM, I only do High Frequency, allowing for all the normies to get online, and play til midnight in North America across all time zones.
From 4AM to 6PM, I'll do High Volume, because MOST people are working during those hours.
But, then Thursday is Thanksgiving, so I'll be doing High Frequency exclusively until 6PM EST, and switching to High Volume because then everyone leaves to go Black Friday shopping.
Sorry for the essay.
I've been doing this in games for years.
@undone socket use the search bar and find out, IDK my dude.
top right corner of discord.
Off and on. Sometimes you'll have problems where the ROC won't suck up the stuff once you blasted it out. Sometimes you'll have problems with the port not recognizing that you have the ROC in your ship. Sometimes it will all work.
Some people say the ROC's contents is not covered on a 30k like cargo. I haven't had it happen so I don't know.
i tried roc mining a few days ago and the armour bugged out and i was only getting 7mins exposure time versus the 45mins is usually gives you, then the extractor on the roc wouldnt work.
ive heard of others roc mining fine though.
trading might not be a bad idea tbh, seeing as how buggy everything else is.
Trading isn't looking too great right now. Lots of bugs that endanger losing your cargo and you have to invest at least about a million to make ~200k profit. Quantanium solo-mining with a Mole works surprisingly well in my experience though
... that being said, I like cargo hauling a lot but it just is too risky, and you poker with a higher and higher investment everytime that you could lose easily due to bugs
IDK what you are talking about. I'm making, routinely, 80% profit runs.
Once again, learn when to High Volume trade vs. when to High Frequency Trade.
Are cargo missions still a thing? Looking to practice my flying and make a little money, but I read that cargo missions were removed a few months back
they most definitely aren't removed
Think you have to make your own cargo missions with own money.
I agree that it's too bad missions aren't an option.
What are you trading?
Sc trader has been off in what stations / outposts are buying in quantities
I combine my loads, dependent on whether I'm doing High Frequency Trading or High Volume Trading.
Like I bought 10k units of Stims to find out stations only buy 1k at a time, and replenish sloowww
But sc trader said most stations buy 5k at a time
Make a Route, in sequence. Ezpz. 1 pick up, 9 stops.
Also, Don't get all religious about SC Trade Tools. It is a tool, not the holy grail
Yeah I try and cross reference with galog
not what I mean, sorry, gimme 1 sec
Waiting for the in-game price commodities to get fixed to show everything it used to. Tired of seeing distilled spirits and that other commodity
feel like it should be high priority..
@copper ivy you need to think in three commodities;
Cost of Initial investment
Cost of Time in Travel
Sale Price.
If you create your own routes, based off of not only what you are buying/selling, but if you are in High Volume Trading times or High Frequency Trading times, AND cost of trading (repairs and fuel), you'll make massive gains.
Google Sheets is your friends.
If you use a rented ship for cargo and the rental expires with you ship at the destination where you're still trying to sell all the cargo a bit at a time are you screwed out of the remaining cargo?
I have, for every pick up location, at least 6 destinations in order for selling for Volume, and 6x4 destinations for Frequency selling.
@delicate girder Yes.,
Yea, don't use the route finders on the trade tools.
use the commodities tab and best buy/sell information.
Yeah that's what I've been doing atleast. Main issue is the stations / outposts not showing the correct amount they will buy
feel free to add me. I don't make insane gains in terms of total amount, but total profit. Which is more important.
fair nuff! Added you on discord
where the best place to look for quantanium on lyria?
What does Gallog mean to say with the game version column in this screen shot? Is that the last time the data was updated or when the site first started buying or sell that commodity?
IDK, I believe it is Date Introduced.
That's what I was hoping and not the date the data last changed. LOL!
Just saw a player heading for thier ship at everus in a med gown. Hope they're changing in the elevator or their ship is in a hanger!

yes I'm aware of Gallog. Neither Brio, Reclamation or Samson is recognising my ship tho
They may have been referring you to the site as it has a warning notice scrolling: 3.15.0 Update! DO NOT TRADE SCRAP, There is currently a bug with selling trade terminals!
Ahh I see that now... I defo should have paid more attention to that. Cheers all
CIG rolled out a hotfix for duplication issue that was happening between Grim Hex and Port Olisar. This hotfix destroyed any scrap trade in the game.
Is it normal to off-load packages from a Nomad and dying when getting off the ramp or am I missing something?
There are issues with stairs and ramp this patch: try crouching when walking on and off, and not too fast
It may save your life! š
Alright, I'll try that soon, thanks!
I'll join you with my Odyssey š
Duck walking in and out works. I now do that on all outpost stairs especially when I have cargo in the ship
I have a CCU to the Orion, but I think I'm going to straightout get the Odyssey
Are boxes remain on nomad cargo area? some times ago boxes could fly away sometimes xD
No, the open cargo on the nomad is a proper cargo-grid: it's as secured as anything else š
The cargo can be shot though
I see. since a roc can stay I wondered if boxes would stay too
I can't seem to get this Cutless Black to scan. I press V to change into scanning mode, approach with ship, scroll wheel until signal strength is 100%, but mouse button clicking doesn't seem to do anything
am I doing something wrong?
some rocks just won't scan. I haven't been able to get it to work at all on moons. In the Halo and on other ships it normally works, but not always.
It's not just the Cutlass, it's the scanning mechanics. They are broken at this time is my experience
I'll try that as well soon, currently logging in, definitely going to get a game package tho
On deposits I wouldn't know what they were until I got in the ROC
so currently most FPS is broken (accepted issues) and mining on moons is mostly broken too? What loops are working in this patch?
LOL, it's a mixed bag at best. They have made so many changes that the ramifications have not been fully smooth over in the gameplay. It may take a couple of patches
when scanning gems on daymar, I noticed that if I move the scanner back and forth across scanned rocks, eventually it will show what the rock is.
Good tip, I'll try that if I go back to mining anytime soon
made a huge difference in roc mining. Sucks to land and haul that thing out to discover it's a patch of .10 dolvine rocks
do some ships seem to have working scanning on moons? perhaps I can rent one?
I've been using a rented prospector on lyria two days now. So far nothing has scanned on the ship scanner
mining scanner works of course
just have to be close
What are all of your loaners for it?
@lyric nest just a mole and prospector
Ah nice so. You can run a mining empire lol
Yes. Yes o can
My name will echo across the community
Not as a man of good standing
But as a tyrant
And Iām sorry that was cringe as fuvk
can anyone tell me what to do with these boxes? i have no mission for them i found them on another mission
You can sell them for pocket change at a station š
just any station? sorry im dumb and new
Most likely yes, just go to the admin office and select your ship on the terminal
It will show some cargo in your ship. From there you can just sell š
Won't make you rich though, but it should pay for gas
im at port tressler rn what about the automated storage? i dont wanna lose the boxes
they will persist
ok thanks.
even if you have guns and armor and another ship inside your ship, it all persists š
i was asking in voice chat just some ppl trolling
Free fly is a dangerous time for that š
admin is on the cargo ceter in tressler?
oh
The cargo level is purely cosmetic at this point š
sold one box of hydrogen out of that whole stack lmao
Galleria, I thought?
I don't know the layout of them all by heart š
Pretty sure every station's Admin office is on the Galleria deck since they reworked stations.
Back in the Mole where I belong. I canāt stand the Prospector
quick question. I know that every L1 station rents the ROC, however, where can I rent a ROC-DS?
Can't rent, but you can BUY it at New Deal
ah, I see, ty mate
For reference: https://finder.cornerstonebase.space/
does it fit into a Valkyrie?
Plug in any item or ship and it'll tell you where to get it.
Supposedly. Never tried.
Honestly never seen a DS ingame.
I assume most people don't like to share their profits^^
Unless the profits are massive enough to be worth it. In which case you're flying a MOLE or trading with security escort.
well, for a crew of 2 for ROC(k) Mining, it seems to do the trick just fine. Maybe we'll save up for it
I melted my MOLE today, since I fell in love with the Valk
okay, actually it was a CCU, but the point stays
A FreeMax can easily fit 2 ROCs with room to spare.
I can't figure out how to use the ROC. I don't see any little rocks it can mine.
normally you would load it into a ship, like the cutlass black, fly around a moon or planet known to have hadanite or aphorite. You fly as low as you can to the ground, pretty slow.. I go about 55/70mps, and continuously ping (tab key)
you look for either boxes that are 2,000m or less, or gemstones (diamond icons) that show up nearly under your ship. Then you use the ship scanner (v) to scan those rocks to make sure they are hadanite or aphorite, worth landing, driving your roc out and breaking them into little rocks you can suck up with the roc vacuum.
there are a few more "gotchas" to it, but that's the basics
If you can scanned while carying drugs like strims you just get fined and not CS right? Is the fine a single amount no matter the quantity you have?
did they fixed ROC arm collecting with 3.15.1?
dont think so
YOYO , anyone had this issue when they go to terminal cant sellect cargo to sell, follwed sc tools but cant select cargo at destination typical shubin to babbage run
There is a known issue when sometimes the ship won't show up in the list š¦
i can select the ship
In 3.14 you could change armor and check the terminal again, sometimes it worked
but the cargo wont let me select that
oh
bought on shubin 10
hmm
Never buy beryl, total waste off your money
You need to sell at TDD
i just googled wher trade termin in new babbage
brought me here
commons
thanks for help guys btw
TTD way in the back, past the mobiglass store
Yup, way at the top
https://dto9r5vaiz7bu.cloudfront.net/9ep6zw7nhgmir/hub_large.png
awesome ill try that
thanks guys that worked, ive got a c2 but mostly a pvp and bounty guy just getting into trading. has it gotten any better last few days i was hearing pretty saturated
Look Jack Axton on YouTube, he has a quick refresher on trade. One of the best in the game
And don't buy scrap, it's broken
Quant mining is pretty shit , tried 2 new moons and the asteroids, nothing with more than 7% and Ive been at it for hours...if it's just a bad day it's a record one.
Wow! That was a great help. I wrote it all down on paper. Thank you.
someone knows a good spot for qaunt mining
lyria
thx i wil check it ou
maybe someone wants to mine with me i have a mole
My pleasure man. Good luck!
I want to get a decent cargo ship, newer to the game though. Any suggestions for a good cargo ship on the lower to middle end?
I recommend the misc max. You can even rent it to try it out
im sure you guys have had this happen to you... is there any way to avoid these boxes despawning after looting them from a shipwreck?
Have you guys try to mine? I havenāt tried with the mole or the prospector since the last patch. I tried with the ROC but it seems broken. I was hoping mining with the prospector or mole would work better.
freelancer MAX
yeah, some parts are better than 3.14.. mining scanner isn't nearly as broken. Ship scanner is still broken but they fixed the math when it does work. You have to look for hadanite differently now.. slower, lower. You can still get quant with the prospector but I'm not seeing near the same spawns in the halo as I did in 3.14. In almost a week of mining in the halo, I didn't find anything that would come near to filling up a MOLE. I've just started trying lyria again.. finding rocks but still not sure about filling a mole up.
@raw shell Thanks Iām going to try lyria to get some Quantanium
would be glad to know if you fill up a MOLE. It's my favorite ship and I've been working toward getting one but I'm afraid CIG has nerfed it into obsolescence.
it hasn't been nerfed though?
not the ship, but the mining spawns that made the MOLE necessary. Still works great if you want to putter the day around collecting stuff that will get you < 30auc
don't base your opinions off of a single patch
it's a road to misery
not too mention you can always mine lots of other things that aren't quant
from what I have seen over the past year, mining spawn nerfs just keep getting worse. They haven't gotten better.
and 30k heartbeat means it's safer and more profitable than a prospy
yep, you can spend all fucking day breaking 6k rocks with 2% bexilite.
and it will take all day to fill up a mole that way.
agrecium.. same shit. They nerfed the spawns into "the hell with this" realm.
wild
am I wrong?
A year ago, it took some hunting but I could find a group of rocks that would let me fill up a prospector with agricium. It's not near as profitable as quantanium but that was fun as hell. You can't find those spawns any more.
but hey I'm out there trying to prove myself wrong. I want to be wrong. I love quant mining in the MOLE.
if it doesn't get me rich though, it's kinda pointless.
ships, what else?
group vhrt and ert makes almost a million an hour
mining is definitely not the cash GOAT
even last patch which was a good one for the MOLE
it is when you suck at combat. Plus I'm in a titan starter
Titan can clear VHRT for sure
if you're good š I'm not good
I'm not sure what that means. In 3.14 I was doing ok with medium risk bounties in a geared up gladius. That's why I want to make riches.. buy a mole, make more riches, buy better ships, do different things
I've been searching SAL 2 lately
having decent luck, not filling up the prospector but not doing bad, getting refinery jobs in
just now broke a 6k rock with 19% quant
I'll check out SPAL 12 though, thank you for the tip!
if I recall SPAL 12 is situated between two large mountain ranges. roughly within 5km from the foot of mountains in the flat piedmont is where quant loves to spawn most. That facility is simply close to it.
gotcha, I'll look for that. Thank you very much!
