Yeah, the UEC column with the min/max/average is how much that location will buy 1 SCU for, with the highesat paying being at the top going down to the lowest at the bottom

Those bars under the inventory column will tell you generally how full that location is. So like HDMS-stanhope is currently about half full, HDMS-pinewood is close to max inventory (meaning they wont buy much more of it) and the other locations are close to empty, so they'll buy a lot of it

So theres a chance that someone sold a ton of fresh food to hadley in the time between the last report for hadley and now, but considering its showing as basically empty, I wouldn't worry about it

  • 2 weeks of gems gone from getting hangar rammed at ruin station and shot by a group of 3 players in a constellation andromeda (6 2scu boxes of glacosite, feynmaline, hadanite, aphorite, dolivine. beradom + about 20 surge modules and 20 boremax modules); hangar deleted wreckage and the cargo along with it

  • 30k'd with surges, boremax, and sabirs to restock after the above. ship is not marked in any location or as unknown, but yet is "stored" and forced into a claim at the same time

Ahh, engineers have no real reason to be unequipped. Moving parts off the fabricator / materials into it, on the other hand, is sporadic generally, so setting aside your tools would be common

The asgard is a good mid-sized multirole ship, and it has a generous cargo bay for its size at 180SCU. The asgard has the best balance of speed/damage/cargo IMO, but the connie taurus/corsair/starlancer MAX are all good alternatives, just with different trade-offs. If you're wanting more cargo than that, you're going to have to sacrifice some combination of speed and/or firepower. If those ships are too big for your liking, then consider one of the smaller multiroles, like the C1 spirit/cutlass black

I'd recommend trying any or all of these ships ingame first, either by renting them or borrowing from someone else, before you actually buy them ingame

If you guys had a C2 in your fleet, would you rather buy a Vulture or Salvation for solo salvaging operations? Salvation can be stored inside a C2 mothership to allow for extra storage RMC/components wise, whereas Vulture can be just taken out and put to work without fiddling between pilot chairs.

For 4.8 mining, any reason to bother with a Golem or Prospector over just getting a Mole even though I'd be solo mining most of the time? Trying to plan out in-game purchases with aUEC and limited play time. Also have been hearing people are getting better luck refining Mole contents over Prospector, but that may just be correlation vs causation.

I think its 103K now if you turn in everything it asks for. Sometimes you have to drop each item one by one on the elevator for it to count. And be sure to take a couple extra. The elevator will short change you on the count.

So, I take an interstellar cargo contract, payout to be 700k. I'm on the grind in a rented Raft. I've made it to Pyro and dropped off half of my cargo, and I'm on my way into Sacren's plot to deliver the last load. Suddenly, I'm under fire, and I've got nowhere to run; I try to escape, but it's a Raft, and I'm being chased by a crewed Tibby.

So, I flee, and inevitably get shot down on the island, about 6km away from Sacren's plot. The moment I lose engine power, I leave the cockpit and head to the engineering section to try and put out a fire; no luck. I'm injured, but alive, so I run to the airlock and bail from the ship. I manage to hide in the bushes until the Tibby finishes destroying the ship and leaves.

Unarmed, with a backpack with a tractor beam and some food and water, I treck through the night until I find the coast, as I know I'm on an island, and both outposts are along the coast.
After 30 minutes of travelling on foot I make it to Sacren's Plot and relative safety, but wondering how to get home.

There, on the pad below the town, is a perseus that's been shot all to hell; the cargo bay is open and the elevator, but neither responds to input. So, I go up to the outpost and purchase a couple salvage tools and a shotgun, and attempt to get into the ship. I find some nearby abandonded cargo crates which I stack in the bay, then a Mule that was nearby, I positioned as a ramp from the top of some boxes into the first deck, and I manage to get in!

The thrill was amazing, but as I traveled farther into the ship I realized just how truly badly damaged the ship was. Diagnostics panel read 0% hull and 0% armor. Shields, power, quantum, cooling, and life support all offline. Engineering section in flames. 715°C, smoke so thick you can't see a meter in front of you.

So, I grabbed and extinguisher and put out the fire, then repaired the life support and a cooler using RMC containers from a nearby locker, and replaced fuses in three empty relays; I found the power plant and got it running, and soon the life support had cleared the smoke from the ship and rebalanced the atmo. Using the engineering terminal I open all the doors along the ladderway and the bridge and lock them open, which allowed me to make it to the bridge where I unlocked the components and turned the engines on.

After I was able to get it into space I realized I couldn't manually repair or swap out the QT drive, and it was destroyed. The nearest station was 4GM away. Then someone reminded me the diagnostics panel on the bridge allowed me to repair components, so I got the QT drive running and made it to Gaslight, and I was able to store the Perseus.

Crazy thing is, I still have it!
I can't rearm or refuel at the station, but I was able to successfully refuel using a beacon.

The other thing to keep in mind is, yes the impact has higher theoretical max laser power due to the extra slot, you’re giving up -30% resist to get it and it has the same base laser power. If using multiple sabirs/surges, that loss of resistance doesn’t really matter so it’s really good for the absolute biggest rocks

But I won’t use it on anything under 100k

One thing ima start doing is bringing extra laser heads, because I crashed into an asteroid in the deep dark asteroid cloud around a people’s station and coulda just kept mining if I had an extra helix

That’s kinda what I enjoy most about mining in the mole, working with a crew of three an adjusting the loadout to deal with harder to crack rocks while keeping the lasers in a setup that is comfortable to handle the smaller sub cracks

#

With that calculator above you can configure a second mole with your second set of heads with different modules so that you can quickly try out different scenarios without a bunch of changing fields

When we were mining 2 days ago I tried using a sabir and it just would not go on the asteroid, and the whole leaving the mole through the laser window can create that noclip bug that you have to be super careful about

What is the ideal configuration for a solo Mole operator so you have a variety of capabilities, like high resistance / density rocks vs easier to crack but you don't want to overpower?

Maybe I've been a bit too impatient then and tried "helping out" by moving slight forward once they've failed the docking 4-5 times. Have actually had some issues with Avengers as well but I assume it's the same thing, me being to hasty to give up. Now that you've confirmed it's basically a waiting game I can get back out with the Starfarer and give it another go 🙂

Verified are safe and can easily ramp up.

Unverified I havent messed with at all, so I dont know what the growth potential is as you complete contracts, but Unverified contracts have a chance to generate crimestats depending on where and what the contract is for, is my understanding. Crimestats themselves are more annoyance and taking a cut of the profits, but could create further problems if you let it get out of hand.

GOT ||I mean, the whole thing might as well have been called "Anxiety, The Episode". You knew this was Game of Thrones. You knew what happens to people you like in Game of Thrones. And basically anyone who was likeable in the series at all was gathered at Winterfell during this battle. It got to the point where I thought EVERYONE was going to die.||
