It wont be at defence con as it's not RSI days or end of show, It may be rentable at Astro Armada in the shopping part of Area 18.
Thought Astro Armada was only for buying.
https://finder.cstone.space/ShipShops1/83318d44-b6c1-42d8-bcd1-284318718b42 Not at Area 18, Orison and Levski for renting.
Correct. A18 Ship Rentals are in the Spaceport, I believe the big room with all the inventory terminals.
It's in the lounge area between customs and ASOP/hangar lifts
Anyone checked if you can insure mole bags on the prospector now?
Unfortunate
can bricked bags be refined
Mole bags are what show up below your eyes when you play this game through the night!
lol
How hard is it to solo the reclaimer? You can still launch that from Grimhex right?
Is there some secret to getting the Drake Cutter Scouts to dock to the Starfarer's boom for the fleet refueling missions? Everytime I try they kinda just bump into it and start sliding
they worked fine when I was in the starlite
Mainly I just want a bunch of RMC to use to fake out and quickly rake up the salvage contract rep.
I'm thinking all the RMC I'll need will just fit in the buffer for a start at least.
Now that they've been out for a while. What's the take on Ironclad vs Assault?
Vastly different jobs. Apples and Oranges. Assault is a carrier/dropship. Other is an armed and armored hauler.
But the Assault still functions as a hauler that's just more heavily armed and armored eh?
But like... 2/3 the capacity
Yeah but in this specific case we're talking about pretty large amounts of cargo
even on the combat version
But that’s not in addition to large vehicles. If it’s running its job, it doesn’t have room for cargo.
If you’re only using it for cargo, sure you can. But why didn’t you just buy the regular Ironclad? If you’re using it as a snub carrier (like some of the packages seem to show intent) you need part of that grid space for rearm and refuel
Ironclad is better at hauling. Assault is better at combat.
Nothing stopping you from taking a regular IC into combat, doesn’t make it a combat ship.
This question is coming from a "I have the CCU to both but I'm 100% not gonna get both" lol. I'm a galaxy owner for christ sake.
The only thing I take seriously in this game is combat. I love my combat ships. But i want a few outside that for dropping fun vehicles places with friends but also large scale cargo hauling or whatever
is there a trick to selling ore?
Then go with the Assault.
UEX/player market if the quality is good?
i mined some feynmaline on aberdeen with an atlas geo, when I got to admin to sell it nothing pops up.
I put all of it in a storage container and then into the freight elevator but it doesnt pop up when i go to admin to sell it
Try UEX to find a station that buys it. Not all stations buy all goods
when I leave it all in my ship storage it pops up in admin, but says I cant sell it unless its at a freight elevator. Im at everus harbor where Ive sld it before, I'm just curious if its bugged or if theres a workaround?
do i need tp drop it all i the freight elevator with no container?
Oh, I’m not sure. Sounds bugged if they are buying it but it’s not showing up to sell when in the elevator
well its like 3 hours of effort so i hope theres a way for me to sell it
Might be worth it to store it until the bugs settle or you can find a player to buy it. Check the issue council, see if something similar has been reported?
I used to just be able to leave it all in my ship and just store the ship and pull it from the ship when i go to admin, but now it just tells me i have to use a freight elevator when i try.
copy that
That’s how it used to be last I sold resources too. AFAIK the patch didn’t intentionally change that, I don’t recall seeing anything like that in the patch notes.
Please let me know if you find any info or a work around? I plan on mining all night tonight. Be nice to know if I can sell/if I need a work around.
im going to attempt to put it in the freight elevator without a container. maybe thatll work
wheres the best place to go for super isolated asteroid mining in stanton
Aaron Halo Belt 5, jump in from an odd start location. There’s a website with a calculator, but I don’t have it handy while I’m at work.
Alternatively you can go to Wikelo Selo and fly off in a random direction through the belt for a while and eventually probably be far enough away no one will know to look for you.
sounds good
Personally I like the former. Feels a bit more isolated and it’s harder to do. Seems like there would be even less traffic.
I just wish I could set permanent QT markers/bookmarks that persist between sessions. Would be an awesome tool
this works
really tedious. you have to drop one mineral at a time. I have about 500 feynmaline....
would be nice if i could just sell it from a container.
⏫
Use the freight elevator, open the box on one side. Elevator on the other, select all, move all.
i dragged the container over to the inventory terminal and am doing this
One at a time? You are far more patient than I
nah, just fill the container, drag it over to an inventory terminal and you can move it in stacks, as the gentleman above mentioned, just open the storage container on one side, and open local storage on the other side. can then move stacks
Oh cool. Hope that works with Ore bags? I’ve got 26 Drake pods I intend to fill
good luck o7
lol thanks
They’re already loaded and I really was hoping to have the refinery unload them for me lol
you don't even need to move stacks, the freight elevator has select all and move all buttons
can you access a storage container while looking at the freight elevator terminal?
at the same time?
yeah, you can open one in each side. Send it down first, then I think it's double click to open it? Or a button somewhere
oh I think I remember (it's been a few weeks), you send it down, then drag it over to the elevator, then double click. It opens in whatever side it's in, leaving the other side visible. So if you want to move them all to the warehouse, drag it to the elevator first. If you want to unload them to the elevator, leave it on the warehouse side and open it there.
Anyone got a good mission stack to repeat for Senior hauling?
What industrial gameloop is poppin rn?
Commodity runs are back in play since they nerfed salvage cargo spawns.
crafting, mining,
Cmat and rmc are decent if you have the right ship for it.
Mining high quality to sell on player market is always good
Or just mining beryl to sell is okay. Not gonna get super rich but decent money
can u upgrade the starlite in anyway, i seem to not be able to put any fuel tanks or nozzle
Anyone tried hauling in an ica? I bought it over the ironclad for versatility but I know it's plagued by many bugs currently. I was wanting to grind covalex rep in it in order to farm blueprints
better off with any other cargo ship
I haven't heard of any. But yeah I would rent a raft for now if you have nothing else. It's gonna be amazing when it gets sorted but it's an awful experience currently
Rent a C2 tomorrow at A18 and use it to make enough money to buy a dedicated hauler
Maybe, might leave covalex rep till the ironchad assault is fixed though, it's my main pledge and I have a lot of hope for using it as a mobile base
yeah I think fixes might take a while
How rich can u get an how quick
Also how does one obtain a crafter
The fabricator are sold at refinerys.
As far how rich are you that depends on what you mine and what the market is. But expect the good shit to not just be laying around
I haven't done any mining contracts yet. I just mine for my own crafting needs and to sell on player market. I do sometimes mine beryl to sell in game cause I happen to find that shit all the time and it sells moderately well
I also never set out to mine anything in particular. Oh you want iron? Here's 4 light-years worth of haphestanite
anyone have Riccite and agricum that I could get?
So with the nerfing of salvage missions, whats the next best thing to do
Well, my old standby was commodity runs but I'm hearing scuttle but that lots of stations are out of stock and uex/SC trades hasn't caught up yet.
Honestly, just do what you enjoy. Money comes over time. It isn't a race, and treating it like one is just going to lead to frustration. Relax, find something chill you enjoy doing, and don't sweat money or rep for now.
I like hauling becouse I get to ram all the other abandoned ships near the freight elevators into oblivion.
does strata armour provide any buffs?
are there external elevators on refinery stations?
Some yes, some no.
There are external elevators where there are a cargo center.
In Stanton, that's the Low orbit stations and the gateway ones.
The latter also happen to have refineries.
Can you sell salvaged fuel
I am now being offered a salvage mission requiring a total of 6 competition grade components... As far as I know those aren't stock on any ship, so where do you get them short of buying them? Did CZs give competition components, I forget it's been a while.
CZs aren't spawning any loot right now, based on IC reports
But did they ever spawn size 2 competition components?
I'm just trying to figure out how you are even supposed to do this turn in
Nightfall in Ruin for example
Sell CMAT to pay for cheap comps at a store?
Nightfall is stealth
Yeah I think I could buy them and turn them in and make money in it. Seems silly but I think the math works out
just buy the cheapest one, sell cmat for funding, cmat should sell for higher cost than the comps if you get the cheapest.
like size 1 grade c comp
cheapo for the mission, should be able to make profit still on a truck full of CMAT
Missed the competition part.
Completly overlooked it because it looks like "component", so I just read Size 2 components
Check this website https://exec.redline-arsenal.net/
Live Executive Hangar status and most accurate countdown for the contested zone in Star Citizen. See next phase and full schedule.
They have to be size 2, but yes obviously but the cheapest that fit the requirements
oh your original comment just says 6 competion components
I just assumed size 2 cause easier to loot s2 than s1 off fighters
Oops, I thought I listed the size. That's the problem, I'm pretty sure zero ships exist that come stock with size 2 competition components.
I can't find any on erkul anyway. The competition stuff is all on racers and those are all (naturaly) small ships.
Just not in the og post, you did after
Yeah, I meant to in the first one, just missed that detail
There is one that commonly spawns in QV stations, but yea those aren’t spawning comps
Trying to figure out if running these 250k intersec missions are faster then doing some hauler contracts for aUEC farming
does it makes a differance in wich station you refine CM?
Only at levski as far as I know
Levski gets a bonus to CMAT
ok, thx
Should I melt my reclaimer if I’m 70% of the time flying it solo? I have the vulture but the reclaimer still seems to make a lot more with solo mulching. Docking being broken sucks so much tho
What's a good way to break up a big ship hull like a Polaris if you're trying to fracture in a Vulture? Tried laying into the hull for like 30 minutes with all manner of ship weapons and it only went red, never broke apart.
Using missiles seems counter-productive from a cost / earnings perspective but if a precise application is the best way, I'm open to it.
That’s not a reason I’d used to melt it
It’s best used solo with current tuning
yeah Reclaimer solo is still going to outpace a Vulture handily I think.
I don’t think there’s a good solution to this
Even when you explode it it’s gonna be too big to scoop most of it
but maybe the Vulture could actually fracture the chunks?
If you rewlly want to tho, just pop open the airlock and backspace it
yeah it was bricked and I couldn't seem to get Backspace to work
Ah
still got like 50 boxes of Const.Mat just shooting off chunks and the engine
It’s also just such a cool ship and mostly bug free. I’m just worried about being attacked while I’m stacking boxes in the back lol
Where are you finding scrapable polaris? I bet that’s a ton of salvage
Outside Orbituary, there were a bunch of abandoned ships. A Hull-series we never even got to.
it really was a ton. Me and a buddy had planned to "fly around and salvage shipS" and we ended up doing only the Polaris. 50 Const. Mats and 60+ RMC, as a 2-man team it was really great with one person scraping full-time and the other printing boxes and loading a Raft.
Damnnnn that would save me a lot too since I don’t have to buy 10 20k contracts
Thanks!
Hopefully the Polaris breaks into multiple pieces unlike the 890 being 1 piece at 1200scu of rubble
I'd also check ground stations with missions, like Bueno Ravine. Last time I was there there were seriously 2-3 abandoned Ironclads and Perseus at most ground stations cluttering up the pads.
Not sure, I was never able to bust it up. A Reclamer maybe, but a Vulture can't fracture it.
like I said even just the engines and other float-away bits were able to give 50 Const.Mat
I think the reclaimers scrap claw is bigger than the vulture lol. If you ever want to borrow it shoot me a message if you multi crew it’s a money printer
That's a kind offer thanks! Yeah the guy I was working with was similarly inspired to upgrade to a Reclaimer, they do seem like money printers.
Love the name BTW 🥞
It’s a little rough solo having to run 2 miles to the cargo hanger haha. Tyty!
Yeah maybe just a bit:
need help with equipping my prospector. i keep buy helix 1 heads for it with surge and stampede modules attached but when i call the ship, the default arbour head is there and no modules. when i go to insure the parts, its says arbour, but when i pull up vehicle in mobiglass its shows it with helix attached. is mining toast for this patch?
Ya it’s absolutely massive. You can see the headlights from 20-30km away
Are you equipping the modules in the vehicle tab
yes
I was having that issue with scraper heads. I had to equip and unequip them like 5 times for it to finally attach
I haven’t had that issue with my mole
Didn’t have the insure issue tho
k, problem is modules keep disappearing so i have to buy them again...
But also I haven’t claimed it and don’t plan to ever claim it
Yes 📷 Photo Credits Tic
How do I start Covalex missions for this patch? I've only seen Red Wind and Ling Family
I'd like to get that ts-2 bp
Gotta get the intro mission, might help to try a different system, like nyx
Seems to be hard to find
gotcha, thank you
Ill look for it, t his haul takes me to Pyro if I have time before work,
It usually shows up near one of the planets in Stanton.
I havent seen it since patch drop, but thanks! ill keep an eye open as I travel around
It does exist but it seems to be fairly rare. Server hopping and trying different planets ultimately worked for me
maybe Ill try to farm it out tonight.
rumor check, does reaching master with Covalex award the XL-1 blueprint?
Doubt it
If anything it’d unlock access to a contract that rewards the blueprint for it
I haven't seen a blueprint, no idea how that works yet.
according to scmdb it is a possible reward for the master missions
when should I be using the big handheld tractor beam over the pyroMT?
when moving larger containers
smaller handheld can lift up to 16 SCU containers. 24 SCU and 32 SCU containers need the larger maxlift tractor beam (or a ship or Argo ATLS mounted tractor beam)
Any time you have it equipped
I don’t even bring a multitool tractor anywhere anymore
I keep a salvage multitool and an orebit multitool
Yeah just use maxlift instead of the multitool even for smaller boxes just for the range
thanks 😄
where should I go mining if I have a full crew MOLE? or is gem mining just more efficient/good at making money?
Haven’t been quant mining for like 6 months. Is there anything different with mining quant since then? I noticed that it sells for like 140k/scu
I just started covalex and I was outside crusader...showed up first try
Hey everyone, I need a friend who likes mining.
I like mining
is there a way to make scanning rocks faster?
with a MOLE?
whats the best planet/moon to go to gem mine?
Where and how you find it is different from months ago
I’d argue it’s easier to find now
How you mine it is more or less the same, except it’ll be harder generally because more of the rock is quant
Up to 90% of it
When I take 50k priced salvaging contract, ship on grid respawns after salvaged. Is it a bug (or possibly an exploit?) or intended since contract says "there are a few ships"?
im saving up for a reclaimer and im sitting at 19 mil auec, i used to mine before the huge changes they did, how good is mining now compared to then? specifically targeting only quant
Yay. I mainly need someone to buy materials from for crafting. Or to go mining with. It is quite relaxing, I know how to operate a laser. Klescher taught me that 🙃
or would it be more reliable to get a vulture for cmat
is the hull c still not able to be autoloaded in 4.8
i know i was able to easily rack up auec when i traded quant to players but i am not sure if the 170k in-game prices can rank up to that, especially is quant is a lot rarer
It’s still easy to find quant, arguably easier than in 4.6 and earlier, but you get less of it per rock
Solo?
solo mole
Because solo you’re gonna be leaving half of the rocks behind
pretty sure solo mole can crack up to like 70k rocks no?
Eh
not without losing large chunks of the rock half the time
Quant is much more unstable, given up to 90% of it is quant rather than a small %
i mean quant has always had a small window, im fine with that
You can expect to break up to 40k with relative ease, everything above will be a process
Sabir, multiple surges,
And it’s difficult to attach sabirs in space now
always was
All I’m saying is pre the mining change, I could easily crack 60k rocks
Now a 50k is one I’d leave behind solo
Something has changed there
thats tough
cmat being 15k/scu then, is the salvation able to eat ships? or just vulture
im not including the moth cause thats real money
I think it’s mostly just the instability/resist has gotten higher
It can eat ships
An arrow provides about .3 scu iirc?
To a salvation
That’s before refining
Which also costs $$
Refining 96 scu in a mole with dynex costs me 50k
up to what can a salvation eat tho
More mean that, to get 1 scu you need to pay for quite a few contracts
It’s like 17 arrows
To make 15k from the cmats
math gets better though as you go up in ship size
Probably best to skip the small ship size and do the rmc turnin quests instead till you have better contracts
Hey I do a lot of mining and would like to sell a bunch of stuff here and there. If you want we can mine together sometime
Sounds like a plan!
Has anyone used the NPC Refueling in a Reclaimer? Did it work for you or no
Anyone know why Orison TDD won't recognize anything in my fright elevator? I can't sell anything
What are you trying to sell
Feyta
🤔
It see the stuff on my ship but not registering anything in the fright ele
I don’t know what feyta is
The TDD has a set list of things it’ll buy
And it won’t buy anything stolen
Or illegal
FEYNMALINE*
Hmm
Ragolith had orison TDD listed
Can try else where but it's not even recognizing the divine and other ores
But it does when in the ship
so
whats the best commodity to run rn?
been doing a bit of agriculture supplies in my ironclad
500k profit each run
cmat is 15k, but remember you get back 20-30% of what you put into the refinery. So if you come back with 10 cmat rubble and 10 rmc, the RMC is worth ~75k and the cmat once refined is worth about 45k. Both are worth doing since the cmat takes less time, just don't be surprised when it's not as much as you expect.
That's a gem right, right? Gotta sell at Admin I think
I believe the starlancer max comes with some competition components
Board it and self-destruct
Nevermind, should've read down farther lol
RMC is boring....😁
It's definitely "mellow" so you have to be in the right mindset.
Ive tried in my moth but.....man thats some zzzzzz
Well get some sucker friend to do the scraping while you print and offload boxes
You busy?
Doesn't help that you're scraping in the worst scraping ship lol
oh shit you are right, I forgot about that one. Power plants, coolers, and quantum drive.
Yes, at work. And I scraped a Polaris in a Vulture yesterday so I might need a break.
I was being facetious because you said sucker friend
Very Clever 😉
cmat is boring. it's just that thing you do after you finish scraping. point at ship, click, boom. boooring
Hey now ive made a few mil just doing that
🤝
Quant actually explodes again right?
again? i never ceased to do so, you got a 22 mins window then BOOM.
There was a period of time in 4.7 where it wasn't unstable, didn't know if it had been changed/fixed since then
Is there any direct interstellar hauling you can get to at some point?
If anyone still wants to find use for their Ironclad I have lots of luck just running the corvalex routes at Hurston because you're out of the way of QTing a bunch.
I usually get away with 5-7 contracts each haul
Anyone else noticing that hauling missions with multiple pickup locations are bugged, and all the cargo spawns at only one of the pickup locations?
anyone know if laser modules are additive or multiplicative? like surge + riegers?
I had to remove it from the storage container
is the roc broke? its not scanning
Where did you get the Covalex Intro? I’ve been looking for days it seems like.
Either Lorville or Everus harbor is where I picked it up, it's the only two spots I've been hauling for Covalex.
Gotcha, thanks!
I found the intro contract when I was at orison
I’ll trawl between the planets and stations again tonight then, thank you!
I had it pop up in pyro, don't remember which planet I was around
I logged out at Ruin this afternoon after an Interstellar. Maybe I’ll get lucky
attempting to alert haulers to a contract bug issue below
you have a total of 14 scu of stims to deliver between 4 points in the verse like the example below
- boxes are not labeled as to which are supposed to go to which delivery point
- until you try sending an elevator down with the cargo, you wont see if you have the correct combination of specific size boxes
the game is merging contracted cargo box sizes after sending and retrieving into the elevator
no, once merged they will not unmerge
do they remain "contracted"?
they are not recognized by the system anymore
i have been to both l3, l5, and l1. none of these are recognized as contracted cargo for the mission
just doing rookie and junior rank contracts on these
bought a brand new stampede module and have it equipped to my prospector, but in the mining HUD it says its "offline" and I can't activate it. Anyone know why?
have magically ended up with a 32 scu box. we shall see if it will let me finish one of these missions
a brand new module, or one that was already expended?
brand new, first time I'm using it since I bought it
Alt + 1 / 2 / 3
It's an activatable module
Ok I did know about that, but I think the problem is that its the second module slot and I was hitting alt + 1 😭
Thanks for the help lol
the classic p.e.b.c.a.k. moment 🤣
indeed lol
Is contract availability for how long it's up to grab or how long to finish it?
I still keep the contract till It's finished correct?
For how long you have to take it before it changes
well, that was the weirdest "commodity trading" run ever. Bought all the competition size 2 components for the contractor rank ~600k salvage turn in. Paid about 400k for them, turned them in for 200k profit. Not a bad margin, profit per SCU is huge, lol.
Funny lol
if anyone has experienced this issue or wants to experiment to get more reproductions, id appreciate it, as it is bricking the mission loops

guys , is urx updated and can anyone tell me beat location to sell cmats
look at the last updated column
that'll tell you when that row was last updated
it is community sourced
Can I use the Hull C to move a bunch of 16 SCU Unrefined Construction Materials to a station inventory using the outside cargo loading bays? Or are the loading bays only for mission items?
You can, just make sure the station you're unloading at has an external freight elevator. That'd be the orbital stations and gateway stations in stanton
Would the cargo not be taken out if I used the Stations Callable Cargo?
Like that Loading/Unloading green box zone that stations have
That wouldnt work, because you have to sell your cargo to the station before they give you the green unloading box. And since you're moving unrefined CMAT, you won't be able to sell it
Damn. There goes that plan.
Is there a refinery website that is currently up to date?
do mining gadgets stack? like if I used 2 on the same rock would they both have an effect on it
you can only use one
Kinda want to salvage freelancer max. anyone know where and which contract that i can encounter it?
right now i would just try to find the one in stock.
its been rough finding any with the rush to run commodities now that salvage cargo is nerfed
but all things being equal titanium is good profit, but more risk.
can you use auto loading atc with ironclad?
Red Wind has some good profits
should I do the Red Wind missions instead of starting Covalex?
For money, red wind. For the component bps, quantum drives, covalex
how many scu?
it holds 24
which is an upgrade over what would have been my starter hauler, the Avenger Titan
still have the Titan though
the smaller junior contracts for red wind are 172K
Trainee are 100K
Covalex would be 50-80k for those brackets
Got your usual multipoint and directs
my biggest enemy will be framerate/lag
although stacking covalex rookie from station to city is still wuick and easy
I remember doing it in a rented RAFT a few patches ago
So I lost my IC to the void after the jump two sessions ago. I couldn't find it.
It was a subscriber loaner. Strangely available for more than 7 days (I guess CIG is trying to make up for the mess any way they can).
I then CCU'd to IC and started using the new one.
Now the lost ship reappears with the Cargo and I'm still an owner.
I wonder if I can attach the CM from the new ship to the old IC.
might be able to?
I hope when Railen drops the tractor beams are controllable from the bridge
and if not, that it can easily fit an ATLS somewhere not on the grid
you gotta pray
I'm amazed that CIG couldn't figure out a dedicated spot for ATLS on haulers.
They added the best tractor tool to the game and didn't even think about fitting it nicely into the hauling ecosystem.
It would've been fine if at least Argo RAFT got such a spot, god knows there's a plenty of space on its belly to fit ATLS without wasting grid space.
as expected, the ship is bricked now and I cannot move it with it's 2.5mil cargo.
so... caranite? I need to make a badass Parallax rifle, is allign and mine literally the only way?
mucho cargo
Yes
Kinda boned if im solo?
is ok if you watch out
quick question, for mining lasers and their optimal range, do you need to be anywhere closer than its max dmg range? or do you need to be at a specific distance?
like if it says optimal on helix 2 is 30m, does that mean you just need to be closer than 30m to have max laser power effectiveness?
It'll show on the mining UI the exact spot which is your optimal range. Going closer can potentially give you more power but obviously you're more prone to damage when the rock pops. Going further back will of course reduce your power.
where is the best location to find quantanium
almost thru Jnr rank for Red Wind, I still have PTSD from the last two times I did this rep grind
so frustrating, I just mined a bunch off goods. refined it. all 800+ stuff. I get it transported to levski. Ship goes in storage straight after i land. I want to bring the ship up. all is gone. the 964 janalite.
The hangar at Levsky has been extremely prone to ships disappearing and all sorts of bugs from the start.
I'm not sure if there are any active Issue Council reports; probably there aren't, and that's why those bugs will remain unfixed.
yeah I know. its just frustrating the time we waist on bugs.
yesterday i took a mate 1 hour to come to stanton because of bugs, and server hops just to get to location.
That teleport thing starting to look more and more great. Like go to a location put your character in a pod. and you spawn at a location in the other system to save time
my friend had the same issue with his idris, except he was calling it up. turns out it got teleported inside the sun. he was able to see it's marker and warp to it. and the whole area was just a massive ship graveyard. he just kept seeing ships spawning inside of each other then exploding XD. so your ship is probably inside the sun now.
its not there this time
but i have seen my ship in the sun a couple of times
i find it just funny how few bugs have been with us for so long. you would think those been fixed. and now a new patch comes in and it just bugs on the new sstuff:)
yea its rough, also annoying how some of the old bugs return
Question, I don't really like mining but I understand its becoming more of a crucial role in the game for crafting. I mainly play solo and the mining ship I've got is the prospector, would the jump from a prospector to a golem be huge & further limit the rocks I can break?
Golem alone is significantly worse than Prospector to crack rocks with.
If you have an Asgard or a Hercules, then a Golem paired with one of those as mothership and extra bags will do great, but a Prospector with 890J/Polaris will do even better if you don't like going back and forth between the refinery and your mining site.
Yeh I dont have a ship that size I could use as a mothership, I would just be running back & forward between locations. So thats why I was debating melting it for a ship with a different gameplay loop or the golem, But now I think about it. I might just make money & buy crafted items off the player market for aUEC
You can upgrade the Prosp bags to be 48 SCU. Not Golem.
Yeh I already do that. Im gonna think on it a bit more about melting my prospector & leaving it as one of them ships I just buy ingame. Since I barely use it & I spent irl money on it XD
The only reason im wondering is because I upgraded my zeus to a hermes & want to go back, but because the zeus is the warbound concept version I'd need to spend irl money on it again, So im looking at melting that + the prospector and getting 2 new ships
have cig talked at all about unsecured cargo / there ever being a reason not to just stack loose RMC boxes to the ceiling in a reclaimer, cause the way the ironclad and ironclad assault are separated by one having a repair bay instead of a rear cargo grid makes me think what's to stop people just filling that space with boxes anyway
are they planning to make loose boxes cause problems or what
Anyone find when they go out for a few hours mining then return a lot of the minables have disappeared when you try and refine them?
Guiys is hull c fixed this patch ? , was anyone able to test it out
any diff between the starfarer and theGemini other than the weapons?
not that i'm aware of, but there are in game limits
you can have up to 100 loose objects in a given "area", not sure what that area is. but, with the reclaimer, this means you can fit 100 16 scu boxes off grid inside it.
or, 99, if you have a cruz bottle somewhere on the floor
for every additional box that you let loose off grid, one other box or object will disappear
I think I fell in love with the Hermes
I randomly chose this ship to rent
and it was the best decision I couldve make
Like wow, the feeling is really heavy and intense while flying. I know that makes it harder and weaker compared to others but its about the vibe
Also this tractor beam is so so so so so so nice for soloplay
happy for you mate
Salvation any good ?
Commodity trading doing okay?
It's an okay starter with a module change. Stock, it's a torture device.
Working for me
what shouldi change on it
so it's not just me right? docking for refuel missions is buggy?
New mission loop buggy? That would be a shock
I need to dust off my loaner Starfarer and give them a go tbh
for me it's a coin flip if the npc ship successfully docks or not
Do I need a crew member? With the Starfarer? I was actually tempted to get a Starlite as I have fiddy bucks credit on my account
nah, you can just leave the pilot seat and use the fuel terminal yourself
they're right next to eachother
Ah cool. But I need to go to the terminal myself
if you're solo yeah
Is that on the lite? The Starfarer I thought was on the footway outside?
starfarer. it's just across the room, like 5 feet away from the pilot seat
Ah cool
Thanks, I never use the ship lol
It's a dusty loaner for my endeavour
np, i wish you luck in the docking. everything else with the loop seems to work fine other than the docking coin flip
I don't think I've delivered it in like 10 patches
issue is the npc ship docks to you once you're close enough, so it's out of player control to resole the problem
resolve
Makes sense. Cheers
Change the Cinch modules for either Abrades or Trawlers
Unless you like scraping an area the size of a dime
is mining still broken guys?
i hate the hermes out of principle lol
what part of mining are you asking about>
Been working for me mostly, except the cutter and prowler
Usually I have to kinda poke them in different spots around the correct one until they randomly latch on
Or reset the docking process until they finally lock
gonna have to be more specific than that, from face value its hard to tell what you are referring to
reset?
Withdraw the boom to cancel the auto dock and try again
ah gotcha, will give it a try
are there any caveats to autoloading commodities onto an empty C2 (at Levski)
the options ahve a red highlight and don't offer the box size interfact option
*interface
The cutter is the big issue, I've seen them latch on from all 4 sides of the cockpit, or after sliding into the boom and pitching 90 degrees down
Very strange
Only seen 1 prowler but based on my experience with that one they're all going to be terrible like the cutter
Starlite to cutter docking seemed fine, but the starfarer hates it
How does hailing for the cargo spots work? It never triggers anything for me.
I assume that's where I should be going If I'm loading 2000+ SCU. I don't think I'm ok with manually loading 2000 SCU in a hanger lol
Is autoloading working? How long does it take to autoload a C2? Is the ship safe while autoloading?
Did you ever get an answer on this? I'm thinking of purchasing one today.
No , still looking for one
i only have like 9 mill so far , dont want to spend 15 mill on hull c , id rather use that for mole
if you get to know lmk
You need a Hull C, hail cargo services, it'll create a blue transparent box, you need to fly inside, fully stop and the cargo will be autoloaded.
Unless there's some bug, ofc
I tried today and hailing cargo services did nothing so I assume it's still just broken
If you are doing it , can you please let us know if it works
ty. And same, sitting at 10mil rn but dont wanna dump all of my money into a broken ship. if I find anything I'll keep u uptated.
Me too please!
did nothing is alway broken , the mainthing im loking for is if all the cargo is being struck to one spot , if thats no the case we can use it
Dont.you have to autoload to get to that point
I don't get the cube so I can't even see if they all get stuck in 1 spot
For covalax cargo hauling you should be able to jsut call it
do you own a hull c already?
Yea
will it possible for you to loan it?
I can't get on right now but if I'm on in a few hours I can ping you and see
or do you have experienced rank , coz im almost ther e, wau @steep relic , are you experienced ? i mean the rank
ill be on again in 10 hours , maybe lenny can do it ,
Yea I have experienced, I took the large hauls and went to Evers for cargo
Hailed cargo services and I never get the cube
I'm member atm still, halfway through though.
this is what helped me , some may call it cheating , but i just stack 6-7 for same lcoations planatary samll haul make sure that each gets 25 % atleast and sub mit them
I could manually load but obviously that's not ideal
no no ,just the auto laod , may i know how you calle dit
via mobi?
ok ... then im not sure , there one more thing a short cut request cargo , maybe that may help ?
I gues sthen it is still broke at that point
What's a good replacement for cargo hauling then? The C2 hurcules?
HUllb and less than 400 scu cargo any good to do it ? pre wipe i just used hull c to do experienced
I'll probably just end up leveling with the c2, wanted to skip through exp fast
Hull b should be fine I think
deally the Fatterpillar
Thankfully refueling missions pay such an absurd amount I can afford all these stupid ships
yea , only thing with c2 is need to land and do lot of wiglgings BS , Hull b better imo
REALLY????
You need a refueling type of ship for this?
I do 1 fleet refuel and 1 or 2 ares with every starfarer load
and how long is the grind ?
yeah , i can buy a astar light to get started for the begnienr one s(with store credit)
Once you get contractor you can go do stanton/Pyro and take the 150k refueling missions in Pyro that are always ambushes
6 at a time
Don't even need to refuel
ambushes as in like they try and kill you and need to fight or just jump away
How far do you think we can push with starlight
There's one of those decoy sats and an aurora mk1 comes to beat you up
You have to kill it
You can get all the way to Sr contactor with Starlite, you just need to upgrade for the last contacts
upgrade with ..?
Just have to check your refuel targets because the Starlite doesn't have enough for all of them, like the vanguard
ok ill check on it and prolly do them , coz if it pays 1.8 mill thats prolly the best way to make money
whicih is better , gemini or normal star farer
I did fleet refuels all day for.like 2 days and got probably like 60m
then ill prolly switch to refuelling from 2mrw , after i finsh my memebr ranks
DAM FOR REAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats huge
yeah im a start doing it before they nerf the shit out of it
Gemini is strictly better imo but it also basically makes no difference for these.missions
but what is the difference though
You get attacked by Gladius on the fleet refuel but they can't pen eithernship
ima do them from 2mrw , it stoo late for me to do it now
oh got it
S5 top turret instead of s4, more armor, missile launcher instead of useless fuel scoop
That's it I think
The only thing the Gladius do sometimes is attack the npcs ships and make them leave, so you do want to kill them
damn thats not bad for 2 mill more
and if we can make that much then fk yeah
But the nose guns are good enough
The missile launch is nice but swapping the missiles isn't saving through insurance so you're kinda stuck with CS missiles
Which don't always want to lock
will having gemini let me run more missions at a single time without refuelling again and again
if so ill melt my reclaimer and grab a gemini, coz i bought reclaimer to print money perse
so starlight and gemini have same cap?
Yea
Like 30k each the prices are weird
And there's 3 prices for each pod but they all seem to be the same
but diest starlight have 2 pods vs gemini 6 pods?
Oh sorry I didn't read right
Starlite only has 2 pods and you can't swap them
So you're restricted to 20 Quant and 20 hydro
That's why you can't refuel heavy fighters with it
got it , so in theory , i should jsut go out in gemini and do more misisosn back to back comared to starlight right ?
and also does it havea bed ?
Yea it has a bed
nice , so i can jsut basically log off whenever
melting reclaimer rn
And yea any docking resupplies you can cut out save a lot of time
Especially since pads are so buggy rn
yeah , i just want to make like couple hundread mil and i dont have to worry aboiut money for a while again
buggy as in they dont refuel properly/
anmd should i jsut straight up get 32 scu pods instead of stock ones?
I don't even get the resupply interface
damn
I would, it guarantees you can do the fleet refuel and at leastb1 ares before going back
You could get the expensive 30 scu ones if you care about flow rate
Oh and the fuel nozzle can't be swapped even though they just added all those blueprints for them
idont know about all that , can you dumb it down and tell , which load out shoudl i get and how much it costs to claim t 🙂 , if you dont mind , i have a few mill i can spare sooo
Just get the 32s
Flow rate just changes how long it takes to put fuel into the target ship, it doesn't really matter imo
can be bought at any refinery ig?
just bought the gemini
will try it 2mrw !
first thing
Not sure off the top of my head, I got mine at one of the gateways in nyx
they have refineries
alr man , its been huge help
catch ya !
Do let me and lennny know if the HULL C works
Yep yep
Morning all , any update on the refinery eating the ore load?
also was watching a video on the gemini coz, me nub, i wanted to ask you, what to carry more hydrogen or quant or both equal
Ships barely want any quant so just 1 container, the other 5 should be hydro
1 20 scu container can do like 20 missions worth if youre doing npc refueling
They only take 1-2 scu per ship
ok , also that video talked about a bug , where hydro is consideres as scu instead of csu , is it still there?
Idk I haven't noticed any problems
also what are the names of the pods , if you remeber by any chance
this isn't actually a bug is the problem, those are the actual fuel tanks sizes due to piss poor coding
Until they adjust the fuel sizes down by about 90% and the consumption down by 85-90%, the Starlite is effectively useless
got it
hows mining this patch? seems like a lot of people complaining about buggy professions in general
scanning rocks is a little funky and the ROC is still broken, but thats about all ive noticed
Mining isn't as bad as last patch due to the quality changes, but it's still a pain in the arse
i see 2 32 scu one s, one with 24 k one with 59 k , i dont see difrence in description
anuy idea what are the differences
the cheapest one is empty, the middle price is full of hydrogen, and the expensive one is full of quantum
how're the payouts? i know they mess with that stuff every patch too
oh so it coems pref illed then ?
can i cahnge fuel comps if needed?
you can purge the tanks and refill them with w/e
ok ,how to purge them in the terminal ?
what quality changes?
All quality is banded to 8 bands now
so no more 1,000 qualities
you have 8 different qualities across 1,000 numbers
huh, neat
the rng can be punishing lol
i spent an ungodly amount of time the other day in the hurston system looking for hadanite to complete a contract and was getting literally every other ROC/GEO mineable other than it
thats the one part i wish we would have a bit more variety on is the mining contracts
I generally despire rng, which is why I refuse to bother with crafting
its like the same 3 gems/ores at the same 3 amounts repeatedly
they need to hurry up and fix autoload/docking, im almost at the point of hull-c level contracts and i cant really use it right now
i know they removed the recoveries on the hull c, im just talking about me getting hauling missions n crap for the hull c
too many people using the gamerules hull c for unintented profit
not specific ones but any hauling mission can be done with the Hull C at supporting stations, including stacking multiple contracts (when it works)
I'm not talking about the salvage missions
need a fix on the IC too
I don't believe that was the reason they removed those contracts, I think it was symptom of when the changes were made for server meshing
because when they introduced the new interstellar ones was when they went
Hull C was the only ship that could run them
you needed a minimum of 3-4 other ships, all C2's to run them otherwise
my jump from hull-b to hull-c/IC in terms of scu sizes still feels a little awkward too. going from 500+ scu to 2200-4600 scu and nothing in between. thats one of the few things i think ill be looking for a way to work around
Railen is going to fill a little of that gap
yeah, ive got that one pledged, but thats still a very large gap lol
and supposedly we're getting other alien industrials during alien week
ironclad is crying now
it aint the ironclad, its the ironsad
Mine is working great
cause this release is god awful
though i give it slack cause its new tech
the hull c having as many problems as it still does is the true shame
makes me worried about implementation for d/e
Hull C runs on abandoned tech
Hull C issues are mostly just server deg tho
they've stated they're going to redo the autoloading thing entirely
2 ships i have legitimately not touched but maybe once or twice outside of their first 1-2 months of flight ready status: ARGO SRV and MISC Hull C LOL
I used my Hull C this patch to do a few interstallar hauls
I wish the SRV had literally anything to do at all other than be a hangar queen
they need to start giving out contracts to haul abandoned ships away from armistice zones
ive yet to try it, but can the srv even tow the bigger ships we have been getting?
missions to tow abandoned ships top scrap yards be good
they used to have some, then they took them out. It was basically haul this ship to x station. They removed them because the hauling while in quantum was broken, and then they never put them back in
maxes out at connie in quantum
you can however, slow tow up to an ironclad
C2 in atmo
don't ask how I know all that
we just need it to really be able to tow outside of armistice zone tbh
good ol hyperfixation
funnily, a Hull C weighs less than a C2 in space, even fully loaded. A hull B can move one
i feel like its because the ship mass is much less than the c2 and the game isnt accounting for the mass of the cargo
it's oddly exactly that. The C2's mass increases with onboard cargo. The Hull C does not, since the cargo is counted as being "on" the ship, not "in" the ship
id love to compare the 2 of them unextended to see the compressed size difference, but all of the fleetviewers ive seen have them with the spindles extended
Tractor beams, like the Maxlift, and the ship board ones, all care about weight too. A box that is 32 CU has multiple weights it can be. Some tractors can lift some of them, but not others
like, i can pull the lengths off of the wiki, but im more visual
So earlier I was running the 750k interstellar hauling two stop. On our way away from the first stop we got attacked. Pyro, no surprise or big deal. I’m curious if they were players or part of the mission/roaming npcs?
Anyways, I should have run.
Likely players. I don't think those missions have NPC pirates yet
Assuming you swap the stock cinch modules for abrades, its an amazing scraping ship. Downside is it doesn't carry much cargo, but if you have a larger ship that you can use as a mothership/cargo carrier, I think the salvation is an excellent ship
They were kind enough to let us finish the first sale at least before attacking, and we took one or two with us.
Best part is I respawned in my URSA as it was falling through the atmosphere.
Was it above one of the settlements? It can be NPC ships as well as players, NPCs are easy to spot as they just strafe around, they're not part of the mission just can sometimes be at the location. If it was an interduction I hven't seen an NPC one since 3.x
It was above a settlement yes
Yeah so could be either but often players just like to gank those spots, there's a few I avoid tbh, particularly around Bloom
NPCs are about as lethal as a milk intolerance though
It was bloom lol
Let me guess, shepherd's rest? Lol
They blew our powerplany and stayed mostly behind us. But also nothing in chat
Yuuup
Yeah, that's gankville
yeah, those were players. NPCs won't subtarget yet
Also, someone drove a forklift onto my ship and just kinda vanished while I was making my way from the command pod to the cargo deck
Must admit I'm guilty myself I deleted two ships there just in case (they were red tho)
I expected more trash talk. Still it was a good fight/ambush
My gunner must have spent the entire time I was unload looking in every nook and cranny on my ICA for the forklift guy. Never found him, no busted doors, etc
Just gone
damn, thats nice of em. i aint touched pyro much this patch cause i was tired of people squatting entry mission areas for kills on people who just wanted to pick up 6 scu boxes of fucking fruit
like bro, im in a starter ship and you got 6 guys, leave me alone and fight someone who can actually do something
I usually run the Ruin Station Interstellar and have no issues. This was almost 3x the pay though
huh did my first delivery mission successfully and the only bugs i had were with the fucking map/routing system
was a multi-transport multisystem one too, from 4 places in stanton to pyro, it's nice that it's at least all delivered to the same place. i remember most of these missions in the past would be picking up from 3-4 places and delivering to 3-4 other places
cool 500k though
You run these in the Ironclad?
I've been too scared to touch the gate with my IC at all let alone for a mission haha.
Its not usually to bad, just...quirky. Not as bad as it used to be
I've just been running the large direct contracts between Arccorp and Hurston, I usually have to deal with one or two CM disconnects there and back.
Do you eventually unlock direct interstellar?
main bug that bothers me is how inconsistent roof access hatch behaves
I don't really touch them in the first place because of all the places you gotta go
I've never been able to get up the ladder lol
I had direct interstellar immediately.
For Ironclad issues
Whattt where did you pick those up?
Damn this sounds like hell
Might just stay away from it
It's honestly a very minor amount of stuff to do...
I honestly dont even do that. I just reconnect if I drop out,and since the CM undocks 2/3 of the way through the wormholes... I just drops me into the side I was heading too anyways.
my main issue right now is the FE's not loading in. Its just a Big hole in the side of the space station cargo spine
If I am crafting, can I use x grade iron with y grade iron?
Or does it all have to be one quality
You can, I asume it takes the average of the qualities, not actually sure tho
what are we hoping the other Gatac ship will be?
Is there a new one being announced? Or is it just the Railien?
Went to pyro for some riccite, pretty good for a quick 1 hour session
Isn't that more than a Mole can hold? Maybe I'm reading it wrong. If so, was it a Mole with multiple bag switches or something? Been a while since I've done it.
Maybe that's in mili or micro SCUs? Like I said, it's been a while for mining for me.
That's about two and a half SCU on the screen
how much is that worth?
Looking at the scanning data from Daymar, the distribution of Hadinite deposits doesn't make geochemical sense. Hadinite is clearly a localized, high-pressure polymorph, but we are finding it in loose, superficial regolith rather than deep, regional metamorphic veins or impact craters. Did devs model Hadinite formation as a low-temperature hydrothermal precipitation event or just procedural asset distribution that completely ignores tectonic and structural geology constraints? Cause if it's a mineral deposit formed by rapid outgassing, the fracture-fill orientation should align with local fault lines, but the current grid looks purely randomized
"the current grid looks purely randomized"
because it is
go go gadget gambling!
What about new gen planet that they promise?
No planet movements, unrealistic rotations, physics is a joke, lasers are not based on light. It's a game, not a simulator
I do wonder how the planet gen will look
How do you turn on that auto eject feature on the Salvation?
There's a small screen to the bottom right of the cockpit. Hold F and look down there, check the auto eject box
Got it. Thanks.
Also while I was trying buttons I deactivated one of the scrapers and don't know what I did. What are the default controls for activating or cycling through the scraper modes.
So, I don't remember the specifics, but try these. You likely either hit Alt + A (left scraper) or Alt + D (right scraper)
You can use Alt + W or Alt + S (I forget which one) to turn both back on, or you can just turn on the one you turned off.
Ideally, you'll turn off the one that's left on, then turn both on at the same time.
thanks
Yeah fam ive been looking at this the whole day and dont know where to find anything that relates to a refinery
Disregard; just found the teeny tiny Refinery button
Weird. I can switch between the Salvation's salvage heads on the HUD (left alt-a, both alt-s, right alt-d), but the right head doesn't seem to be working. I don't think it's damaged.
The left one functions in left or both mode.
You might need to land it and store it, kind of, soft reset it
Was looking for a MFD screen where I might be able to check the health of the heads.
I see the health of the guns.
Ah, there it is. One of the heads is off and I can't turn it on. Could I be not giving it enough power?
Says its health is 100%.
Try full power cycling
has anybody actually had any luck with the Hull C in Stanton? can't seem to get a single station to cargo load.....and mixed info on discord and redit
The Hull C has been broken for quite a while. They even removed the Hull C missions from hauling loops. The ship is completely nonviable unless you are loading and unloading at external elevators
hello gents, whats better the starlite or the starfarer?
ok, got a stealthy build, lets try some unverified hauling. An tips? Or is it just fly low, low power, and fast as I safely can? Prowler-U
stealth build on what?
added it to my original message
ah
I was trying to use sc-trade.tools for getting a trade route going to get some money. It said starting at Lorville buy Ship Ammunition but there is only specific size ammo now, would it matter what size I buy? How do I know that Area 18 would buy whatever ammo I get?
The Starlite in its current state is absolute trash. It cannot switch tanks, cannot do anything other than starter missions, and half the time, doesn't work anyway. The starfarer, while in a whole other class of ship, works most of the time, and can be used correctly. Fundamental changes to the profession and the Starlite need to happen before it will become viable
okay cool cool
!tradetools
One-stop-shop for everything trade related in Star Citizen: best trade routes, best mining spots, etc.
You can check UEX Routes
uexcorp.space?
yarp
I was looking at the commodities there. Thanks for lmk it has trades!
Yeah, in the drop down, choose Routes, set your buy station and your sell station
do we even get large+ size hauling contracts anymore or are they capped at medium?
you can set your ship too if you want a precursor look at costs and ROI too
i aint had a single large contract pop
I know they got rid of the Hull C contracts for hauling, but beyond that, I don't know what else they changed with hauling
I am doing that now. Thanks!
Looks like I can get 97% ROI
That's likely flooded man
like, my tab barely gets a lot of medium contracts (and this thing needs a freaking sort function or summ cause having 50+ contracts in one section is absurd)
Hmm?
Seriously. It's why I stopped running contracts. Can't scroll either, have to click
lol, that's for waste
yeah, it's a 97% but you could run entire Ironclads and make pennies doing it
Generally, you want 25-35% ROI
any higher, and the market is either flooded or crap to begin with
Yeah but it seems waste is the best to go for
ive made decent contracts just slamming them off the hull-b, but like, theres never enough contracts in 1 place or accumulating through a route to justify using any larger ships rn
Yeah, that's another reason I don't run them
Look at the amount. That's like 17k profit
bout to just mindlessly mine at this point for a change of scenery
it’s not worth it
Doubling what I put in it says
Almost
Okay, let me put it this way
You can run a mission with 6 SCU for 50k
or you can run hundreds and hundreds of SCU for 17k
I got a hermes(and other ships) and like 100k. I know I could do the hauling and make more but
Could load up an idris LOL but doing the unloading by hand would SUCK
I was hoping to run across some where I put in 1mil and came out with 3mil or so but I am not there yet
I guess I just haul again
Maybe I use the raft and not hermes this time
is there even any reason to do commodity trading over mission running?
preference
that's about it though
technically, you can auto load and unload too doing commodities
if you like waiting
I think the auto is quicker tbh
Oh it is
I was doing it a few wipes ago in a Polaris in between exec hangers
but you're stuck waiting instead of doing
Which I don’t mind.
I can eat during that time
Oh well. Guess I won’t find a good commodity run to do
wonder why salvage mode toggle keeps popping up in the tooltip corner when i’m in my Nomad
does the same for me. Activates the tractor beam in such a way I cant use/see from its turret
got 600k in 30 mins runnin around lorville then everest harbor for a rental with a refuel ship. Doesnt pay as much as my normal game loops but if youre travelling place to place its profit for chillin. Before that I stocked up at Ruin station then travelled to lorville for a 300k trade
Can I buy bigger fuel tanks for a starlite?
Yeah commodities are gonna beat contracts in pure profit, but there's risk. You gotta put up the money and hope to not get pirated or have a 30k happen
lots of fun but I hate returning home every 2 runs
Since slavage cargo got nerfed I've gone back to commodities but it seems lots of other people have too cause most routes I plan, station is out of stock
I think you can put the starfarer tanks on it but I'm not certain
interesting
@tender bluff can you not refuel your Starlite tanks from a Refuel Beacon?
im trying to relearn some of the minign after being away for forever, whats the numbers above the heading correlate to
no idea what the 54000 means
distance most likely
wasnt there when i last was really into it
nah, distance was like much less than that
the is some tutorials, those number represents what exists there
i will find it to you
sorry those are old
No, the ship is bugged and cannot use other tanks
Is the Argo Moth fixed from release?
aye guys when it comes to mining when is the right time to punch the modules?
like surge and al that
MOTH is more broken now than it was last patch, but last patch it was working okay
You kind of have to get a feel for when and how to use those
What are the current issues with it
prints 1 SCU boxes, can't really do anything about it
it only prints singles or also the 8s?
I haven't been able to get it to print 8s. There's no option for manual printing, the screen is blank, so you're stuck with auto-eject which spits out 1 SCU boxes
the moth can print the 8s if you have at least 8 scu of either rmc or construction pieces it'll allow you to print them but if you have less that 8 scu and toggle on the auto-eject it'll start printing 1 scu boxes
do inert material reducing modules still not work?
i donth think so
dOES ABANDONING REFUEL MISISOSN REMOVE REP ?
Thats about 24.5 SCU of actual ore
One prospector's worth
Idk yet, I'm gonna sell the 325 quality and keep the rest for crafting purposes
How the hell does a Gladius schlorp up more than 50% of one of the starlite's fuel tanks in hydrogen fuel when the fuel tank itself is damn near as big as the gladius? Where is it putting all that fuel?
Haven't seen any mining fix in patch notes, and don't even think CIG is aware of the bug TBH.
hmm does at least extract power work?
It does, but that just affects the speed at which you extract, nothing else.
are the starlites tanks actually locked to the default ones? every other tank ive tried does not show up in vlm. is it intentional?
Starlite is broken just like every other released ship
@past fractal you can get it to spit out 8's if you fill it enough first. I'm not getting anything on the display until I've got at least 8 scu of material.
@shut cypress I think the process of converting Construction into sellable products is also borked to hell, I'm sorta testing a potential exploit where you can "double" dip the refinery process.
I feel like I was able to create a refinery order for the contents of my MOTH, I then moved the cargo off the MOTH into the freight elevator and setup a 2nd order. THe system is so borked with the empty containers its hard to tell what is happening.
Guys , do we get refueling missions only in stanton?
I have seen them in Pyro too (at least the intro)
what could be preventing laser intencity % from changing?
Loving the Hull B at the moment, perfect for these local missions, lots of space to sort the cargo!
Got the old notepad out again too 😄
To remind me how much of each goes where. Took about 20mins all in easy 500k
Hull B is going to be hard to beat because of this. I don't expect the Railen to be as easy to separate cargo like this
Good point but I guess Railen will be a very good option for people flying point A to point B with no in-between
Any tips how to get pure Carnite quickly?
Anything able to be done with cargo from contracts?? fright elvator refuses to work som stuck with a load of crap, or do i just yeet it into space?
You might be able to sell it at Hex but it's probably not worth the journey
Where can i rent the vulture in pyro ?
Nowhere.
Levski.
only levski? aight ty!
I need Sadarix for that Abrade Blueprint. Any locations aside from the QV stations? Thanks!!
GUys i sthe esperia prowler bugged for fleet refuelelgin
nope
players may sell them tho
anyone have a suggestion on how to fix freight elevators, i am trying to do a mining turn in for mission and the elevator is stuck lowered and wont come up. It always sends me to the same location for turn in and it's rarely working. tia
Thanks for the reply doubt I pay 5 million for a 21K Abrade at the stores
Any Reclaimer owners who've used the ship recently? On the fence of turning my Galaxy into a Reclaimer, would save $70 credits by allowing me to melt my med module and have a salvage ship for emergent material gathering for construction/crafting gameplay
Salvage isn't profitable? One scu takes time with fortune, just for 2K..
it still is, just not as much as it used to be
usually takes a few hours to get a decent chunk of money if you're only doing CM and not scraping the ship for rmc first
oof this is all the rep you get from 6 member missions in Pyro - this is going to be quite the grind to get those juicy 2million missions!
One of the salvage turn in missions in pyro looks decently profitable
How much do Sr refueling contracts pay?
nearly ran out of space
stick a smol box in the airlock, that's what I did before lol
was kinda hoping it held another row down
nah 96scu so you're like a few over
but you can put a smol box in the airlock I have done it before with a 98scu mission
or you can submit a partial delivery and lose like 1/3 of the credits/rep
uh i have like 180 or more scu on there
oh sorry my brain broken yeah thay added more scu to the RAFT (my bad)
I was thinking of the old days
both are loaded
nice job
come over to Pyro and make some real money
i was doing this cuz i need to stop by bai ship parts store
plus
im still on starter rank with ling
yeah it takes a while to rank up, I got Member in both Pyro/Stanton now
CIG trolling when they made that mission 9scu
The one mission that always gives you 66 scu is so damn annoying, just barely can't do it in my hull A
@obtuse isle salvage isnt in a good place atm. Expect the Reclaimer to get a gold pass at some point.
Thanks! Not looking at it for the short term. More looking at current functionality and if its decently soloable/small crew.
With all the crafting/construction material requirements, thinking I need to get a salvager to sustain a construction operation
Is the Teach’s special MOLE worth it over the normal?
3x Arbor MH2 Mining Laser -> 1x Helix II Mining Laser, 2x Klein-S2 Mining Laser
With the loadout insurance claims that's a comfort yes. Having a Helix already is nice.
@obtuse isle currently salvage doesnt interface with constructions because all the materials gathered are 0 quality.
I think I can do the free claim and still get the upgraded stuff
reclaimer mk2
Yeah definitely, not looking at current salvage. Future planning
Can't get 2SCU in the airlock?
I have a dumb question. I have a golem, and found a savrilium node, but it says its impossible to crack with 2 reiger c3 modules. How the hell do I break it in a golem
is it just sabir's or no luck?
So, when it says "Impossible" it's not accounting for your modules, or gadgets. It's still worth trying. That said, you may want to learn how to use Surges instead of Reigers, and definitely carry some gadgets
Rockbreaker app can calculate if its breakable with gadgets
Trying to figure out which covalex missions reward the QDs:
stanton
Covalex: ~mission(ReputationRank) Rank - Direct ~mission(CargoGradeToken) Cargo Haul(100%)
nyx
Covalex: ~mission(ReputationRank) Rank - Direct ~mission(CargoGradeToken) Cargo Haul(100%)
pyro
Covalex: ~mission(ReputationRank) Rank - Direct ~mission(CargoGradeToken) Cargo Haul(100%)
stantonandnyx
Covalex: ~mission(ReputationRank) Rank - ~mission(CargoGradeToken) Cargo Haul(100%)
stanton
Covalex: ~mission(ReputationRank) Rank - ~mission(CargoGradeToken) Cargo Haul(100%)
pyro```
Master rank
Oh damn...
also: https://scmdb.net/
Yeah, thats where I got the mission names, but it doesn't really say which rep
Sure it does, see requirements tab
why D:
The feeling is nice and heavy
and the tractor beam is insane for solos
@shell cedar , hey i grinded the rep , but need a clarification from you , im not able to get the 1.8 m Mission in pyro , does it always spawn in stanton or am i missing something , same thing with other missions i only see 49 k missions in pyro
You need to be at Specific locations, just a min
its like, checkmate, patch city, pyro 1, monox
at Sr. Contractor
ok a!
and the contract will be inpyroo too right?
@shell cedar
yea
ok thanks a lot!
I will say i've been abandoning the mission if it has a Prowler as one of the targets, I've only had 1 out of 5 successfully dock
cutters are still annoying but I think the best way to force dock them is to tap S just before they bump the boom so you clip into them for just a second
search up the specific modules and it will state the specific tasks that can have them. you'll see that you can only get them from master rank missions
so quick question... I did a interstellar hauling mission, but one of the 2SCU construction materials boxes broke when colliding with another box and got sent into the dark dimension... can I go buy 2 SCU of construction materials and just use that to finish the quest or am i fkd?
I think you can only turn in boxes received through the contract but you can also just partially hand in missions
the only chassis that ship was originally supposed to have was for the apollo. apollo came out around the same time as T0 recovery and when most beds could act as respawn points, without its drone tech either (which has been confirmed to be non-priority for some time)
only reason CIG made the hermes was because the apollo chassis sales were terrible and not going to make them money for some time
its not that its a bad ship, i just hate its existence out of principle
Thanks, I will take a look
This makes me want to use the raft vs hermes lol
No, just turn in and submit since you'll be 2 scu short. Still get paid and full rep
where can one find savrilium to mine that's prospector capable
Trying to buy RMC and the settlement says it has more than enough, I have my destination set, but when I click it nothing happens:Trying to buy RMC and the settlement says it has more than enough, I have my destination set, but when I click it nothing happens. No autoloading here maybe? If so, then why alow the setting of the destination?
Anyone know the easiest way to grind Shubin rep?
what qestline do i have to lvl for big fright? Covalex, red wind or ling family?
Now that I delivered the RMC to the settlement, I can't even get the cargo elevator to come up with or without the SCUs.
Are there special ways to get cargo elevators in settlements working? Does it ever work in 4.8?
I now have 500k+ of RMC setting there in 16 SCU containers which I can't get out. Any ideas?
My SCUs of RMC stored at the settlement will still be there if I server hop right?
No auto load unless your ship is stored in a hangar
Yes
What company Rep should I be leveling up to get those large SCU cargo missions?
Like the ones where a Hull C is needed?
Definitely not, I have a hard time getting my character through the door when the ladder's open lol
Of course. Thanks
Hull C specific missions were removed with 4.8. All of the contractors currently go up to large hauls except covalex, which I believe caps out at medium
WHY
Because the Hull C is completely fucking broken and has been for a while? Why keep missions in that can only realistically be completed by a ship that has less than a 5% chance to work at all?
For the last 2-3 patches, the Hull C would condense all autoloaded cargo onto one spindle, overlapping itself multiple times, could not deliver properly because of it, and in nearly every single case, you couldn't do the missions at all. It makes no sense to have that be the endgame of a loop.
On top of that, the autoloading feature of the Hull C is obsolete and not going to be fixed, it's going to be replaced with a whole new system that is still in development
the worst part of cargo right now is that the boxes, even same size/materials are internally marked for delivery to a specific location, and we have no way of seeing it unless it is in the cargo elevator and we check it box by box
ive got an issue council open about it cause i slapped a bunch of 8 scu boxes into the elevator from a covalex mission, sent it down, went to pull the elevator back up and ended up with a 32 scu box instead of 4 8-scu boxes

the worst part for me is that i get one pull on an elevator and it will crash the next time i try to raise it - anyone else having this issue?
Haven't run into that one yet myself
ive not had that
ive had the one where i go to pull it up and it just transfers it into my personal inventory instead of up on the elevator
but not a full blown crash
for clarity i don't mean the game crashes, the elevator just never comes up and anything i had moved over ends up in my inventory
exactly erebos
maaaaaaaan, the one time i dont have my crew in my mole
Yeah, 88k is a minimum of 2 lasers lol
I'm repping Covalex from Senior to Master. If I partially complete a senior contract (around 25%+), do I get only 25% rep? Or is it more? I'm wondering if continuing to stack 4 Experienced contracts vs 2-3 partial Senior ones, is better.
Not sure how the rep works for that, I've never bothered paying attention to it. Last I heard (which was months ago) rep is full even for partials as long as you can turn it in, which I believe is at least 50%
maaaan wheres all the miners in sc when you need them lmfao
Eating homemade curry lol. For most players it's between 7pm and 5am
Ever since I started first sending the elevator down empty then back up (so its mine not a previous player's) I havent had this issue. Maybe its coincidence but maybe worth a try for you?
Dont try to shoot one of your own doors open while a ship is docking for refueling lol
the docked ship sees that as being attacked and fails the mission
Are Teach's rental ships based on the ships they sell so that you might get better components in some of the rentals?
Yes
Yes, but... teaches "better" components aren't often that much better, if at all
it's particularly weird on salvage ships, in some cases replacing tractor beams for additional salvage heads that provide no benefit
So! i try to do stanton 500k salvage mission which i should find competition components
I search freelancer max as bounty and when i look in side it's all garbage not competition gears.
is that means i should looking competition components from pyro contest zone or olp in stanton?
Should i focus more to collect and sell cmat or rmc
