yep yep
Wow, Ita is the best for quant, so nice
I have found Cellin to be very good to me in a prospector hunting quant ~
Nothing is worse than find 1 scu of quant when you've got empty bags and you've just starting hunting...its almost not worth getting knowing you might have to cut out early!
To correct some info I happened to see: Both the Vulture and the Reclaimer use Baler S2 salvage heads. They take S1 salvage modules, like Cinch, Abrade, Trawler, and ReadyGrip Tractor. But the salvage heads and the modules they can use are the same. The only difference is, with a Vulture you can control 2 heads at the same time, while you need 2 people to do that with a Reclaimer. And the Reclaimer is in need of a major rework.
So if you had two people working salvage stations in the reclaimer, youre gonna be scraping at the same speed as a vulture?
Sort of, but not quite, since with two people the two beams can move independent of each other. With the Vulture, the two are normally linked, and while you can spread their aim points out a bit, you can't easily move them both around independently. With a Reclaimer you can do that, so they can be doing different parts of the same ship at the same time.
The internal buffer is also a lot larger, so you don't have to stop and empty the buffer out as much. (Not to mention, you can print out larger boxes.)
The only pain is unloading until they rework it.
Has there been any mention from CIG about timelines or where the Reclaimer stands in rework process?
With the starfarer being completely bugged and unable to salvage and the caterpillar being hit or miss in that regard. I don't think it's really worth it to run the reclaimer for missions right now.
Given that how only NPC wrecks give you the full amount of RMC return I would just run a vulture
Hell, it's probably better to just spread a team of vultures to tackle big ships, easier to manage and easier to unload. At least until the reclaimer gets a gold pass update
I would argue that a reclaimer even with the pain of unloading can be more efficient at salvage, not even counting that you can break bigger ships. I normally play it solo with no issues. Its not perfect, dont get me wrong, but the fact I can print bigger boxes, have enough cargo space for an entire day salvaging with no issues makes me prefer the reclaimer every day.
Unless they include a need for Construction materials, I don't think the sale price of them is worth the effort of unloading them
I tried it solo myself (as well) but felt so slow compared to the Vulture, I'd rather pilot a alt with a hauler to eliminate return trips until I'm done for the day.
Currently using my Idris for this
i got the prowler utility and i kinda like it. the convenience of the tractor beam controlled by the pilot is very nice.
i wonder what i could use it for. mybe salvaging weapons off ships in space or such
nothin at all, its pretty yeah, but useless, for that price you could buy an Asgard instead, far more usefull.
eh. the asgards nice but not my cup of tea
i mainly got the prowler to see if there might be some use for it. if i dont find anything. ill melt it.
Exactly that. Its for scavenging or pirating
Hm. Yeah i suppose
I could really mess with someone trying to sell stuff. Just hover overhead and use the tractor to yoink some.
Anyone know how much faster refining has become?
about 2-3x more
depending on how big the work order is
can anyone with a hull c check if their crates are loading slower, compared to last patch?
Probably just weapon and component salvage. Was pretty easily able to attach components to it
Ok
Hey what is the fastest Quantum drive for an hull c?
Shops, Erebos for sub 65GM trip.
Loot, TS-2.
It says the AGNI is second fastest to TS-2
Faster top speed. Not acceleration.
Which is why Erebos is faster for trips shorter than 65GM.
Then it's Agni.
what trips for 81gm then it would be Agni or Erebos?
Bruh really ?
I was just asking sorry
I'm not answering that again, read.
ok
I just didnt understand
that was all
sorry
are the new cargo missions in the game yet
i think they are but im not sure if thats a .1 updaet
Next major update
Especially if someone is lowering down cargo at some place like Ashland or seers canyon. You could just swoop over and grab some and bounce.
I played shithead citizen last night when a Polaris was unloading tons of cargo- I found a p-52 and snuck back, gunned down the main little cargo running man, and tried to send it down but there was an error š and then I got Swiss cheesed
Haha yea.
Thats the plan.
Wonder. Can i put bombs on the cargo grid?
Eh nvm
Hm
I have an idea how tje prowler utility could be improved.
It could carry more than 32 SCU, but not internally.
As-is via something hacky? or like a redesign
Redesign. Like you can either have 32 scu but with full stealth or more cargo. Like 64 scu, but you cant close the cargo bay, so it compromises stealth.
Because the way the cargo rack works on.the prowler U, is it retracts when closed.
So instead of retracting and closing it could just retract, letting some cargo just sorta hang out the ship.
If that makes sense
Dunno if that could work. But it would make the price feel a lil more justified
I'm trying to pop off the drake golem pods, then force a claim on the ship to get some new pods, but if you store the pods it seems that you lose them.
Can the Polaris do hauling missions with the bull C cube? Or only if both destinations have XL hangers?
the alien rng smiles upon me this evening
Congratz new Fortune owner.
Thank you! My vulture is displeased but we may be able to work out some agreements and time share
Ooo pretty
I have to find alternatives.... my vulture will be too tall to fit in my Ironclad. A TRAVESTY!
Slash what are the ideal trade runs with it? Something with autoloading in pyro?
feels like they really buffed scraping rate
Shame you have to stop duping and buy new bags like the rest of us plebians
This sounds passive aggressive for no reason. Nothing I'm trying to do is anything you couldn't.
And for the record it works. Call up the golem, open ports, move it to the side, make a claim and expedite for 1k, and do it again and again until you have as many crates as you wish. Strip the crates from the old ships and load them up on your boat of choice, taking the last called golem with you.
Beats spending 25k per bag.
It was sarcasm, and for the record its exploiting. Not thats anything to really be upset or fuss over about. But don't pretend like its legit gameplay. If the item you're attempting to duplicate via insurance claims disappears, thats working as intended.
If it disappeared, then it wouldn't be an option and it would be obvious the devs did not want this to work. Yet here we are in 4.2 and it can be done.
Some impressive mental gymnastics, just because the devs tolerate certain exploits doesnt mean its intended gameplay. Otherwise why would they bother selling the bags?
Enjoy it while it lasts I suppose
has anyone been able to do salvage in pyro?
theres too many fighter npcs that spawn in
It really depends on where you try to salvage. But that has normally been the case for salvaging in Pyro
In my personal experience getting some decent stealth gear to drop your detection range to roughly 12 km helps out a bit. Not perfect but helps some of the NPCs that come around from noticing me
Best bet is to getting good with one of the factions and level up their salvaging missions or have a PVE killing ship nearby to clear out the Npc's and come back in a salvager
not on this new patch, but before yeah, a lot
Salvage out of a Polaris would be ideal, (or an Idris).
PDC's watch your back, just have to keep an eye out for players looking to sneak aboard and steal it
Any changes to the Hull C in 4.2?
Apparebtly it works better but for how long is the question
broken already
This morning some people said it worked fine doing hauling
maybe just USA severs
Maybe it was eu and pretty early in the morning so not so populated
Quick tip: you can fit 10 scu on the avenger titan if you try, this is rly useful for certain hauling missions that need 9 scu when you start the game
any1 got a screenshot of the optimal loadout for solo mining in a mole? with a focus on Quant mining.
The optimal idk, but I like this
what rank in cargo do i need to get to before i get Hull c sized missions ?
Experienced
Looking at the new numbers for helmets and armor sets, I noticed that ADP, Bahlor, and Berserker helmets & armor have what appear to be better numbers for radiated environments - does anyone know how it affects gameplay and are they better to wear into the new zones? Do those numbers mean much? For example a normal helmet is like 145 and a berserker is 251 or something - there are two numbers related to radiation - what do you guys think in regards to these? Thanks in advance!
I am asking in relation to performing mining and of course getting out of the ship if need be or being exposed in a mole - so yes your armor could be important!
Mining you'd care more about storage space to store mining gadgets and modules than radiation protection. There isn't really any radiation issue where you go to mine
I thought there were minables in the radiated places as well
I also consider myself a loot goblin as an industrial profession, lol
anyone know if the C1 has the same scanning range for mineables as the Zues CL?
You can check each ship's radar specs on erkul and spviewer
That's C1, which is identical to the CL
thanks! much appreciated š«”
I'm going to use my Wikelo C1 instead of the CL for Pyro
glad to see it's the same
all prepped and on my way š
I am told by other players that the numbers for certain armor etc in regards to radiation are typos in the inventory description just FYI
thanks sorry for the delayed response
so. took down an npc caterpillar and looted 32scu of quartz off it.
ngl im kinda considering switching fromm the prowler. as much as im trying to like it, its just. meh
i also love the Prowler, and by extension the P. Utility, but...
it is a useless ship.
there are cheaper alternatives who are far better.
yeah i guess ill just melt it and get the Railen back
maybe by IAE this year it comes out
but idk. i waant a cool alien freighter., but i hate waiting for in concept ships to come out
whats the loan ship for Raylen?
Certainly it's more useful than a literal jpeg lol. I'm loving mine, already used it to steal from a couple players all sneaky like
syulen and connie taurus
HAH. nicce
eh you know what
im keepin the prowler. once the railen comes out ill just melt it and use the money to buy it
and im pretty sure i can melt some of my junk. like paints i dont need anymore and get a C1 for heavier cargo stuff
C1 Spirit is Awesome! but i'll recommend you the RAFT, unless you need to carry vehicles, but if is for pure cargo hauling, RAFT is the right one.
192 scu the RAFT can carry.
192? zamn nice
i also got that pirate aggressor pack available for me to buy. which does have a caterpillar
well the C1 can carry up to 114 scu if you use the non grid spaces..
ah ok
also i have been thinkingg abt picking up mining. friends of mine recommended the golem to me
Golem is great for Planetary Quantanium mining
and Quantanium is in high demand nowadays... up to 100k per scu...
huh
you... dont know?
Wikelo requires large quantities of Quantanium in exchange for a Polaris
therefore, players are desperate for Quantanium
instead of wasting selling to stores, you sell it at #market-street
check it out
Listen. im mainly a combat pilot looking to diversify towards industrial stuff.
fighting all the time gets a bit boring so im looking for other stuff i might like
i mean look at my fleet. its mostly fighters XD
I would like to recommend Salvaging/Scavenging as a good option for you.... RMC pays well but also you get the option to pull components and weapons from other dead craft to support your angry fighter squadron š
Golem is a great little ship for getting your toes wet in mining too, I have a Golem LTI I pledged and I have a Vulture I bought with aUEC, and just got a Fortune I got from Wikelo. I will say I need to use the Golem more but I use the Vulture an obscene amount of time while online. I'm raiding PAFs, salvaging ships, running small hauls. Plus there should be a mini starter salvager coming around the corner soon. I think an RSI variant.
allrighty thank u
got the golem
GZ, give it this 2 modules:
and check this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHNzc6yR2jE

is there a way to split this stack, there is only a mini elevator here and i cant bring up all 13 boxes
Right click the stack
what r they for?
Focus gives a larger green zone. Rieger gives more power.
Don't use erkul like they do for mining loadouts, it's very limited.
Use regolith.rocks instead to make loadouts and everything else mining related. Excellent website
Rieger C3 will increase your laser Power allowing you to break bigger rocks, the other is to compensate for some side effects of the Rieger
u can change the Focus for something else if you dont mind having a super tiny green zone
i see thanks for the advice
hahaa
i just stole someones stuff XD
imm keepin the prowler
they are chasing me XD
anyone have any tips for a new owner of a Hull C?
Don't trade, just hauling contracts
hmm a haul c sounds fun
Still super buggy with commodity trading?
It's buggy with everything, including hauling, but at least you don't lose your investment when that happens
And they were even shooting at me. i can imagine them just screaming "you fucckin bastard" while flying at me
and... what did you took from them?
i mean, with only 32 scu... does even pay the fuel and repairs ?
Damn ruining the fun already, laugh with the girl, she's having fun with the game
Prowler Utility is fun
right...
And I find it incredible that people manage to yoink stuff like the ship is intended to despite having so little actually implemented for it
No, only min max. Fun and cool stuff has no place in games.

I only min max for PvP. So I basically haven't done any PvP since 4.0 cause I still don't have a F7A
a single 4 scu crate of proccessed food
and im not doing this for money. just to mess with them
like i said. mmy main income sourcce is combat
āB-b-b-but thatās GREIEIFING REEEEEā
Unspeakable things no doubt
How sweet it is! š“āā ļø
The good book says āstolen water is sweet; bread eaten in secret is pleasantā. King Solomon played star citizen o7
700 wives were just 700 alt accounts for LTI spamming
XD
the poor guy was probably just doing some cargo missions,
you took a few worthless boxes from him so he failed the missions but lose anything
you cant sell the boxes cuz they are mark as stolen and even if you could they are only a couple coins worth
so, what was the point of all of it? trolling other people when they are just trying to play?
yeah, so, so.... fun.

yes we all do
indeed
yes fun, i yoinked 4scu of food from a random connie too
holy shit thats what i did XD
hahaa nice
was this in pyro?
yes, i cant find any haulers in stanton, like at all
i found the one guy i stole from there
arccorp system
Stanton haulers are either doing City <-> LEO or Hull C hauling
yeah cig dropped a pirate ship with nobody to pirate
Not many people around outposts
i love the prawner, but man
hmm.
theres noone doing commodity trading on outposts or hauling to outposts
i see huge potential in the ship, just needs cig to release more features that will require going to planetary outposts and handling cargo
Prowler U will shine when large air/ground battlefields are a thing. Jump town kind of stuff, but better
or crafting
It'll be an incredible ship
so all those commodities are needed
and then we can yoink those
when crafting is out its gonna be peak
gotta think backwards with the prawner U
melted my talon, as i was barely using it. got myself a C1
i think next time i get paid ill get a vulture aswelll. used to have one and i liked it
Vulture is good. Panel scraping is nice for a chill session, decent money too
yeppers
Anyone know the conversion from yield to SCU?
What are the solid routes rn for a RAFT or polaris commodity trading?
i wonder if your gonna be able to use the hull c for the new event hauling
Pretty sure they buffed panel scraping too.
I logged on last night and I swear my vulture was just blazing through the panels
4.2, we can now load our RMC from Vulture directly to the Freight elevator. You still have to run to the TDD place to get paid. Before, if you had 17 crates, only the 12 that fit on the spots got bought. Then you have to go back, load more, and so on. Now you can load all the crates into the elevator and get paid.
Seemed same with cinch but way faster with abrade to me
Two abrades much faster.
Including from your hopper???
what to do when in the auto-loading square for the Hull series ships, and you accidently move and the loading stops?
can you buy the geo in game?
my mining laser is showing it shooting
and
i cant shoot my laser at all?
on the mole
Yeah
Retry.
And if it's borked, abandon or unload using a regular cargo ship
i decided to melt my prowler and get a talon shrike and a vulture instead
Has anyone given the Starfarer a try this patch?
Great the prowler utility is trash for that price!
is solo mole mining good?
It can be as you can fit out your mining heads for different scenarios, I'd avoid surface mining this patch, especially solo due to the new sway effects (CIG are calling it turbulence) but it's not it's like a boat rocking lol
I come seeking guidance from the council of industry... About to set up my Golem again post 4.2, decent load out ideas?
Either Rieger C3 + Surge, or Rieger C3 + Focus III
Surge + Stampede works too, but I personally dislike having more than one active module
thanks I'll look them up, I think I had a RC3+F3 in 4.1 but I'm still new to mining
Hey did 4.2 fix any of the issues with the Hull C? Getting close to affording one.
Anyone else having issues with the multi-tool not detecting the tractor beam module? Tonight was my first time playing since the patch and the multi tool isnāt detecting its attachments for some reason.
Just bin that one, it's bugged, seems to happen with those that defaulted with a cutting attachment
Ah, damn. Yeah there seems to be issues equipping default weapons and armour too.
I just threw away all the yellow multi tools in my inventory, sick of the lottery lol
You could also sell them all and buy a new one that will work!
I had a bunch of the different colour ones, they all work fine as they default with no attachments
They look cool too!
Freelancer Max vs C1 Spirit for bunker running in pyro? I need something that can carry vehicles and defend itself incase I get ambushed again
Freelancer has 3xs2 shields but c1 has more hull hp so idk
C1 Spirit, no doubt
Whats a good ground vehicle that fits in it that is good for bunker running in pyro?
the Cyclone fits well and can carry a 1 scu box
any hoverbike
Hoverbikes can't carry storage for looting
true
Does the Anvil Atlas series fit?
Spartan? Ballista?
Oh wait what about Ursa
Or MTC
Ursa is too tall sadly
havent tested but i believe the new CSV-SM should fit
What is that
Oh sick
$378k for the CSV
How much is MTC or Cyclone
Cyclone has shields?
yup
the MTC has guns, but as said is store only
there are variants of the Cyclone with guns, missiles, etc
but sacrifice the cargo
I can just bring my ship if I can take out turrets
in that case just bring a hoverbike, most of them have gun, even the tiny Pulse has a S1 gun
funny u can even bring the pulse inside the bunker and kill npc with its gun
Whats a good place to pirate for cargo? Brios is dead, people at OM's never have cargo, idk where else to go that isn't just another brios or another OM
what is the best ROC/GEO/fps hand mineable?
Raft enjoyers any tips to consistently unstuck the ATLS from the Rafts grid?
you tell me you are a pirate
this is such a game changer lol
tried starfarer refueling recently. other ship got tp'ed away just after docking success. is there the need for more ppls on a ship or does it just not work?
You only need a pilot in each ship
who initates the refueling? i was standing back at the boom controls and the other ship got teleported away, as mentioned
so close
man grinding cargo sucks! Has anyone figured out the best way (and fastest way) of doing this? like the same two missions back and forth? IE between a some stations and then return to the first one rinse and repeat
Once you get past member rank it's slow going tbh. The fastest way is just to be more efficient loading. I've just been doing missions I enjoy and it's built up over time.
Amd obviously higher rank missions give more XP.
so im geo mining and due to last nights...overcharge, im thinking of using a ship with a medbed that can fit the geo and a few 1 scu containers. Currently have the cutty red ready to go, but not a huge drake fan...are there any other choices with similar ship size or able to use the nursa?
I really hope they add mission filters eventually. Trying to sort through all the available cargo missions takes so long.
yeah tb there is only one mission thats high ranked wwhere you only have one stop
is there a workaround for hull C when it shows commencing cargo xfer, with 00:00 remaining so it never actually starts. Terra was working but then had a bad server on AUS, so I left but now it's bugged everywhere. Tried reclaiming, leaving the area, changing servers, etc
Do auto-unload / sell work now? or does it only sell the stuff that is on grid
It works when it feels like it lol
i've got 20 golem bags forsale if anyone is interested
Been trying to find out what loot you can get from illegal salavage but can never find any, what/where can I find the loot?
I don't think salvage spawn cargo anymore it's just the Hull to scrape and the CMs if you munch it. Some ships have components worth taking (for own use) but they sell for peanuts
Anyone ran the Hull C successfully in 4.2.0? Mine keeps blinking out from under me. Not purpled or impounded... but just *poof* gone.
I know its an incredibly annoying bug, but the fact that "getting purpled" is a serious term in SC is hilarious to me
My setup that I enjoy is to have my connie taurus, with a nursa a 2scu storage box and an atlas geo - I own a ROC but have found the geo to be more fun and more efficient. I say more efficient because you can always just jump around or back into the ship if you landed it awkwardly and it moved to where you cant get a ROC back in easily without having to fiddle around - its just easier to get around in - the downside is lower space but it seems like the fact that you can easily get back offload and get right back out there so much faster makes it not much of a concern really. I like this particular setup as you can do a variety of things in it. I also have found that if I get shot down and the connie is dead the nursa often survives so leave it onboard. If someone comes along and takes your connie out you can still usually get to the nursa and drive away in it - it's also very nice for bunkers with its onboard storage you can bring extra supplies that are very likely needed if by chance you do need to respawn in it. Ammo, drinks, medpens, etc.
Iāve never heard that before, what does getting purpled mean?
What do you mean by this?
Null is also confused lmao
I've ran at least 5 runs today alone...made ~3.5m so far
I got bugged out somewhere in the middle of it too. I "fixed" things with a combined server hop, and also a proper retrieve/store/retrieve(all while in the large hangar) to reset the ship
Welp, I didnāt want to claim the third Hull C and just watched some YT vids to distract myself. Got back to SC half an hour later⦠ship location suddenly isnāt āunknownā anymore but āstoredā.
Hit the retrieve button, and sure enough, it puts it on a docking arm. Get out to the docking arm, and my fully loaded Hull C is just sitting there, attached to the arm. Get in, fiddle a bit with the QT route, and make my way all the way from Terra to Pyro.
Didnāt need to fiddle too much with the cube this time around, just a few tweaks, and it started unloading.
But, obviously, I came up 10 SCU short. š
I amazingly just had a full SCU run complete
terra to magnus one
I don't mess with Everus, always breaks for me
Everus isnāt great indeed. I run the Terra to Pyro route for 711k for that reason.
Well, 711k if it actually completes,Ā but most of the time its 541k because itās always short a few scu
agonizingly close lol
yeah same, I wish I could get terra to pyro to consistently pop up. Terra to Magnus takes forever
I been doing the senior 3 stop jobs at Hurston
I'm going to cross the line with a couple of experienced locals I think lol
2x experienced = 1x senior for XP
Which ship are you doing those with? C2?
How many SCUs are those contracts?
you're nuts
Thatās what I did on my raft on the member ranked ones too
I just need a different type of contract for a bit, the Hull C ones have completed for me fully⦠maybe 3 times today. And Iāve ran maybe 20 of them so far
The amount of cash Iāve missed out on, just because the cube canāt count is starting to add up
I heard something about paying a fee to autoload your ship? Is that a thing or is the best way to load just the ATLS
Canāt autoload hauling contracts
I like to mix it up, I do the solar experienced ones or the member local ones from Port Tressler as you can stack between 3 or 6 contracts, 6x member you can do in the same time as 1x senior and it's more XP 1.5x and around 550k lol
Gotcha
Saving up to buy a new reclaimer lol, mine got eaten by the patch. Right now, I donāt really care about the XP, just need cash
I feel ya, I lost an 890, second time too. Not bothering to buy that again I only flew it twice lol
I have an 890 just to haul my Vulture around. Polaris for the same reason. However, with the new turbulence⦠I canāt say that Iām looking forward to trying to maneuver them in positionā¦
I havn't launched in my Polaris yet but I found most ships just rock/sway on a single pount so you don't actually need to give any counter input, it's more of an annoyance, I've had no issues in the Cat
Thinking about taking two planetary mediums (senior) from Everus to 4 or 5 locations on Hurston
Going to need to log all of that via hauling-companion though, no way Iām keeping track of that otherwise
yeah I do that for the multi drop locals, I use a note pad lol
Welp, gotta wait for my ship to claim to Everus anyways, so I might as well get started on that
I'm looking to join an org focused on the industrial game loops. Best place to search for them other than randomly applying on the rsi page?
Whoever changed the freelook button to a hold should have their git access removedā¦
I am legend
Nice!
Spent 30mins loading the C2, unloaded one location, flew to Farnesway... game crashed on final approach.
Loading back in, check r_displayinfo for a location... crusader orison. /fml
Whatās the best setup for a 2-3 person mining operation? Our goal would be to farm ore for the Polaris - perhaps using a larger ship to transport smaller mining ships and have storage
Whats the best salvage arm head for the Vulture?
Abrades, right?
yep
Does Quantum explode if the bag is detached? And is there a way to identify which bags have Quantum in it?
All your bags fill up roughly equally; I'm not 100% certain but it appears that they fill up about 0.25SCU at a time then move to the next bag.
So if you are pulling in like 2SCU of Quant, it'll be in all of your ship's bags.
You could try detaching a bag and scanning it to see what it contains.
And even if you've stored the bags by tractoring them off at a station and sending the bags down the cargovator, I believe they will still explode, destroying the bag, if you don't put in the refinery order in time
I really hope they fix this process it's been way too long and also would be nice that they get away from this meatball size rocks to a more full size asteroid enriched site that we can spend a week mining it out that we had possibly discovered
Mole I would say. If you do multiple Propsectors on one rock the rock's stability gets really bad. A Mole would also help you break bigger rocks.
"getting purpled" is something that happens to ships or vehicles right before they get cleaned up and deleted by the server. Its supposed to only happen to ship that have been left abandoned for awhile, but it happens somewhat often to player ships that are still in use as well. It typically happens when your ship gets stuck on something or stops moving suddenly
examples would include your ship spawning stuck in the floor of your hangar, a ground vehicle getting flipped upside down by a rock or something and not being flipped over again quickly enough, stuff like that
a purple outline appears around your ship, and then it gets deleted a few seconds later
^
but what makes it hilarious
"oh no my ship got purpled" is just a funny thing to say outside of the context of SC
Hey has anyone noticed if you get more XP from multiple stop cargo missions ? Or if it's the same as one drop
It's the same, XP only multiplies by rank
It's something like 1000xp for member, 2000xp for experienced, 4000xp for senior and 6000xp for master. Technically you're better off stacking a couple of experienced local or 4-6 member missions
stacking seems bugged for me, or i'm doing it wrong, always have to press the submit button as it doesn't track the delivered goods and then the reward is worng
It's best to avoid contracts with shared drop off location. Tends to break.
Thank you!
salvaging is fun. i love my vultuure
nice! did you buy it in universe? do you have to repurchase it if it gets destroyed?
@stiff jay ships bought in game can be claimed if they get destroyed, only sometimes ships can be lost during an update due to database issues, otherwise you keep it until the next full wipe
so i would only keep the ship between wipes if i paid real money?
perfect, thank you.
got her off the pledge store. i dont bother with buying stuff for AUEC. because if i get a ship, and then a wipe comes further down the line, all that work waas for nothing. so i just get stuff from the store instead
fair enough
try not stacking missions of different difficulties with the same deliverable. theres no way to identify which is for which, and it matters, thats likely why some of your numbers are off
I recommend you hop on someones Reclaimer if u.can and they split fair. Its super busted atm(only the reclaimer) and nets u a way higher return of arnd 4-8 mill an hr total
makes sense as thats exactly what i did, there are 5 missions for waste hur l1-5 deliver to everus
hmm. that is nice.... i do kinda wanna get a reclaimer of my own tbh. its a fun ship to use with friends
Beneficial that its busted
those missions are all bugged any where you have to pickup from multiple places and deliver to one place, it only records cargo for the top one in the list, the rest don't count, it doesn't even matter if you send it down in part.
This occurs in both Pyro and Stanton so just avoid those, direct A-B are fine and also missions where you pickup from one place and deliver to multiple locations work.
Have tried to get this confirmed on IC but it doesn't get the upvotes sadly.
I am pretty sure those missions have worked fine for me, but I haven't run them in the current update yet so I can't be sure
they worked until about 4.1.1
Is this at Terra Mills? I could NOT find the selling terminal last time I was there lol
its inside one of the buildings mark as 'shops', vertical on a wall
Can scrape a caterpillar in 3 minutes tops if youāve got pilot and 2 scrapers
Can you lock an ATLS to the raft cargo grid? Someone in chat said you could
Oh snap, where on the grid can I lock it? The tractor beam just isnāt really it for me but on the ATLS I saw you grab them just look and it lets you place as far as you can without having the box there like the tractor beam. So was gonna buy one
anywhere on the grid, you just have to pull the Atlas up using a tractor beam gun (the big one)
The maxlift? And because the grid is āon the roofā do I have to like flip it upside down? Or I can just attach it upright
Also thanks for the help brotha
i was at crusader yea
yes, cost $20k but can lift really big boxes and, of course the Atlas and even small ships
you can buy it on the Cargo area of any station
no need to flip it, just rise it up, it will turn itself
Idk if this is right but its kinda salvaging. When trying to take components from abandoned ships what is the bestway to do so? Assuming doors are closed.
Shoot the doors open or just soft death the ship
Why does it say ''surface invalid'' when I try and scrape a ship I have a contract for?
Some ships have bugged surfaces and some parts of ships can't be savaged, which ship?
Well would love to do that but that hasnt worked out for me. Idk why but no matter where I target the ships soft die and then immediately explode again
Scavenging is the common name
and its a good and fun loop
Yeah I know what the name is.
I got stocked back up after the wipe but unfortunately lost all steslth components to double explosions
you can literally find abandoned ships everywhere, ship needs to be either power off or disabled.
If been mainly grabbing ships off the Lazarus Hubs. Usually at least 1 fully decked ship there.
dont shoot it with your ship's guns, instead, go out and shoot it using an AR, ballistic preferable
For soft kill or doors?
yup
Talons are fragile and easy to accidentally hard death. You'll actually want to hard death any prowlers though so you can get the good components out
Only encountered stock prowlers but rclipses and sabres also just boomed
Stock prowlers come equipped with the size 2 grade a stealth plant so they're still worth looting
yup
Is that still necessary with the prowler refactor?
Also, are talon power plants finally extractable? They would never work for me since 4.1
I think it would be hard to squeeze the parts down the ladder still, havent tried though. Hard deathing the ship just makes it easy.
I miraculously kept my eclipses this time, so haven't checked if the hard death extraction still works.
i kinda thing my rep is bugged cause i just did 4 rookie rank covalex missions and my rep didnt move at all
stayed the same
im at junior currently
i dont know if it takes awhile to update or what
do mining modules stay on your mining lasers after your ship is destroyed
they should be there when you claim the ship
alright, because on a rental argo i found that when stowing away the ship, the modules disappeared even though the mining lasers stayed
Have you tried to do a Junior mission to see if it moves your rep?
Rookie missions give a very tiny amount of rep. Like 1/10th the rep a Junior mission gives.
ah i see
yeah reps going up slowly, fine with me cause im doing rookie missions for cash
Rookie missions give tiny rep, it's only enough to get you out of that rank tbh, not to progress through junior at any pace. I think it's 50xp vs 500xp for a jnr.
Did they remove commodity alerts from your journal entirely?
anyone want to help me mine a 32% 63k mass quant rock
it should have about 70ish scu of quant in it
Is there a workaround for contracted cargo not always counting towards a mission? Like it stores in personal inv?
Im. Thinking abt upgrading to a reclaimer from the vulture
Is the reclaimer good solo?
Or should i just stick to the vulture?
No
no that mission is bugged, if you've delivered (and it shows as received) more than half, i.e 60/100 then it's usually safe to submit the mission for partial reward. Was this mission one where you picked up from multiple locations then dropped off at one location?
A pair would be needed to run it effectively. But even then you're risking getting boarded killed and all the cargo stolen for all that effort. So too slow and the reward does not justify the risk
If you had a crew of three to four I think that's probably the best for maximizing profit per hour, (as well as permanent pilot to constantly keep a lookout for threats) but then you have to split it 4 ways Not to mention the things of nightmare to unload as it hasn't been updated since the freight elevator rework.
If you can get two people I would just have one in a vulture another in a hauler or another vulture / fortune
Also keep in mind with a reclaimer now you have to have an extra vigilant eye for a prowler sneaking up and boarding you before you even realize it
Also has anybody tested the rumors about a shadow buff to salvaging?
It looks like all scrapers got modified in very very positive directions.
Curious to test out SCU per hour ASAP
How fast is the pioneer likely to sell out this IAE?
You misclicked the #ccu-and-fleet-advice channel I think
I would love absolutely love to get the pioneer, if it had a ship bay that could be worth a damn.
I mean like give me enough room for a vulture at least hell I'd settle for enough room for a fortune.
Have they ever specified how much SCU it'll hold?
[[Pioneer]]
Does someone actively do the "solo towing ships out of outposts/stations to salvage them by backspacing and taking a salvage ship to qt back to the srv" gameplay loop?
Ah gotcha.
Tho idk is it likely to get boarded in stanton?
Very, especially around Crusader and Yela where most of those salvaging missions will take you .
I have heard that they've spread them out more over the system. But most of the pirates I know are always on the lookout for a sweet payday with a reclaimer.
High or low, at the end of the day it's too slow for me at least.
I might do it once a month for kicks. But at the end of the day I think The vulture is just a safer bet
Not with the 75% nerf to salvaging player owned ships
Okay. Thanks for the advice.
And for the idea.
Might try boarding one with my prowler Utility.
Huh didn't know about that...75% wow
Yeah, it sucks but currently it's the only way to stop people from spawning ships for a friend to salvage
Hey at least you found out from me, and didn't waste 7 hours salvaging an Idris and two Polaris
For solo mining what do you recommend? Golem or Prospector with Helix and modules to improve window size?
I hate that prospector ladder with a passion, so whenever possible I prefer the golem.
That said you do get more customized options with the prospector as far as it's laser goes..
There is something to be said also about the golems utility and having internal storage to carry extra active and passive modules not to mention gadgets you can switch out to suit your needs.
That and you do a lot less stacking and loading with the golem
It's a deep deep learning curve to figure out what's the best setup. I'm still learning and what I've learned is you're pretty much gotta tailor your ship to match what's your after and how you like to play.
Some people like active , some people like passive
At the end of the day it's literally whatever floats your boat
Feels true
Best way to use the reclaimer is to either hunt Hammer Heads with it or have someone jump big ships like a polaris out into deep space somewhere and go there with a reclaimer. Its pretty safe that way
Unfortunately salvaging a player ship is a waste of time, you get an insane loss of RMC
I'm lazy, when I mined I always use passive modules for power and window size and no gadgets.
So I just wonder if Helix with modules is worth a hassle
since Golem mining head has same power
It's my typical setup, however it makes mining most quantanium rocks very hard or impossible
Dont think its bad enough to not do it. We usually end up with 6-8 Polaris scraped in an hour without any fear of being contested on our cargo
I don't know for certain, but I think you can get a little more power out of a helix then the golems
75% is pretty huge
Let me ask, how much SCU do you think an Idris and Polaris would net you in RMC?
Idk. Arnd 260 if the loss is 75
Little less than 400
Thing is, idk exactly how this works since I only salvage when I tag along. Is the loss just overall scu on the ship is less or that gain is slower eg. U fqrm the same time for less returns?
Seems to be a reduction of what you scrape, so you're literally wasting your time.
CIG does it to counter exactly what you're doing. They want players to salvage organically not in safe dead space
I can make reasonable credits using the Reclaimer for the CM on the TarPits missions. Much faster process then drop the crates down the rear chute.
See, I didn't even think of that haha
So best way would be to do NPC bounties, then backspace and getting the vulture? Besides panel scraping which I want to avoid since it gets boring pretty fast
What exactly means salvaging organically? Doing salvage missions?
I suppose that's one way of doing it, most of the time I do missions and areas where can warp to them at any time
Higher risk but that's kind of the point
The way I picture it probably want you to salvage where anyone can stumble upon you
So there's always risk
any other things i can try to get my hull c to unload? i tried strafing left and right and go back out and in again
also got a new box
Itās been a long while since Iāve done any mining. I pretty much got hooked on cargo gameplay. But Iāve been yearning for the mines again. Whatās the word on the best place to find breakable rocks in the prospector? Asteroids seem to lean heavily toward the larger side and I donāt have a MOLE.
Try to qt away a little, then return. Also: is it the same station where you claimed the ship?
no it wasnt i already did like 5 deliveries here
Then idk unfortunately š¦
it sucks and is so not logical why it wont do it
damn that didnt work either
is there a chance some of them just DOSNT want to work and you have to abandom it?
the Hull C is very.. VERY bugged, and there are few workarounds,
Just take what you lost like a champion and try again to pray to your God this time, it works.
it is what it is.
I got it to work by jumping away and untrack the mission and go back (i think its just a "fluke" it worked)
great! at least you could recover š š
yeah
how much does the Master missions payout (cargo) ?
I Prospector mine with a Helix, Reiger and Stampede on Cellin. Nice variety of rocks and Quantanium. Give it a shot!!
360-380k, missions are the same as the Senior ones pretty much.
There's like only 8 Master missions anyway
I run two reigers and its amaizing XD
I will give that a try also!!
arh so underwelming
Iāll give that a go, thanks!
Yeah totally lol
Trying to build up my hauling rep in Pyro. What's the best station to base out of for the least tedious missions? I just made the error of attempting to deliver over 400SCU of cargo to Canard from Ruin which was a nightmare scenario that I abandoned after realizing I would have to unload 8SCU boxes 4 at a time into the tiny freight elevator. Still only in junior rank.
damn can hardly see the DC in the rain LOL
almost stacked it and lost my first master haul š
any way to fix this?
there's less demand than your smallest box size, just gotta wait for it to refresh
Even though it says its in demand?
yes it's 'in demand' like maybe 5scu or something
ok, does it take long to reset?
every 15 mins or so
Aight, thx
if you're at Orison it's gonna be slow
ya, peops said thats where to sell. althought i have been wanting to move to pyro, but not sure if its ez to find ships there to salvage or sell
Not gonna bother moving 109 boxes out of here though lmao hope it's not too slow
everyone is selling there so that's why it's so bad, I'd have gone to Hurston or something
still cant sell any... rip
How is hauling in Pyro in general? Do you get mostly left alone or do you get PvPers regularly? Iāve been avoiding pyro because I mostly play solo and donāt need that negativity in my life haha.
Im just trying to rank up on low pop servers, so get left alone. Its a zero risk mission. If I did run into PvP and lost the fight, I'd just relog and start a new mission.
the Pyro hauling missions are terrible tho, jnr ones are like 300scu and the outposts are too small for those loads lol
and most of the smaller jobs are collect from 3 places like 150gm for 94k wtf
I got half way thu Jnr and stopped
Word is Hull C missions pay better, which is the desire
are they at member rank? I might try again but the ones where you pickup from multiple locations have been bugged since 4.1.1 :/
I'm loving the Hurston rain tho
Bugged as in broken freight elevators, or another reason? Member rank might have the 1200-2000 SCU missions, but more than likely senior rank is where the big paying ones would be.
they only accept the cargo from the first place on the list the rest gets eaten and does not count
Good tip, then I'll avoid those, as well as avoiding the medium hauls for my junior journey
sometimes the medium hauls pop up 90-120scu I do grab those they're not too bad
are you HH or CFP? I'm CFP, you might get better missions if you're HH
Red Wind will only give locations you're friendly with
CFP and I hear HH isn't easier or better
thats weird, now my hull c wont unload (stuck on commencing cargo unload and a timer thats stuck)
thats new
one of many common Hull C bugs
not new!
get out and back in the box
if that doesnt work
jump away
wait a little
then come back and call a new cargo request
yeah i mean new to me usually its the "stop moving"
you will encounter many many bugs upon space trucking
its really frustrating and stressful lol
yep
make sure you get missions from terra to pyro
sticking to gateway only missions helps smoothen it out
plus shorter distance
yeah this one is the one to mag so might be why
its bugging like this
yeah its completely bugged i jumped away and went back same issue, i better do a self destruct
I sell out of Orison and that many crates could take a week or two. Is that your home city?
It seems i messed up the entire Hull c (i once forgot to extend the arms when trying to load) and now no matter what i do no matter if i reclaim my ship it just wont unload :S Its stuck in commencing cargo transfere (stuck timer and i did try every tips and trick)
does anyone know if you mess up something if there is a way to reset it or will i have to wait till a patch?
Self destruct, move to another server, claim and the cargo and mission will be gone.
But afaik there is no "fix"
If it bugs you just gotta reset
Don't abandon the mission
The hull C is super finicky
I tried to reclaim my ship from somewhere else (self destruct didnt work, i somehow got my shiip stored despite i was a bit away from a station)
I canceled my mission and i commited suicide
oh and did abandon the missions
i think i tried it, but i guess i can be 100% sure and move to an asian server
You got a fly out, then blow it up
If you store it. It keeps its current state with said cargo
So even though you abandoned the mission you now have cargo sitting on your ship that is useless
arhh ill do that
oh it stored my ship xD alt tabbed
Edit seems like its all over, now my ship wont load as well :S i better stop for today and hope i didnt ruin my ship and wasted my 16mill)
Gotta say I think the Roc still miles ahead for mining Feyn compared to the Geo, had so many times where the Geo would stop extracting after the first time it gets full. But was able to go 5 hours straight with the Roc
Althought I think the Roc ore pods shouldn't be the same cost as Roc-DS xD
no, checkmate is but just got reclaimer recently and dudes told me orison was best..
i cant even sell a few of em at a time, am i just fucked?
Look at UEX and you can see what places have higher demand for said materials. Orison is recommended but everyone and their mother sells there so their demand is much lower
If you can truck it to Hur L1 3 or 4 you can get 2400 per SCU and because no one sells there they should buy your entire stock
only got reclaimer and prowler as big ships lol, not sure i can be bothered to load 100+ cm boxes up again in reclaimer x.x
anyone know why my friend is getting shot at while we attempt cargo missions? we are trying to land at a distribution center and we just get lit up neither of us have a crime stat
By NPCs or players?
the npc turrets light us up
happened last night
he is considered trespassing
distribution centers are constantly broken
whats the best loadout for a vulture? like what power plant should i put in it
any idea what we should do?
uh
honestly just dont do those contracts
rent a tarus and do stations to lagrange points if ur trying to rep up
Did you share the contract? If they're not actually on mission they'll be considered trespassing in security controlled areas
Ah so yeah you'll have to wait until you're both eligible
Agreed, it's not a great system
means I get to the grind all over again
If they are in your party they should be considered part of your clearance for the area but the system needs work or has limitations
it worked from some distro centers and not others
maybe I just go back to doing a bunch of rookie missions to try and slog through the rep grind, I was just excited to try and make some more money
Yeah it will be fine at Sakura Sun as they are not controlled by planet security
Maybe some others too
Note Rookie missions give only a small amount of rep, you're better doing juniors
I only got the raft so for stacking idk i could maybe do 2 maybe 3 most
1 junior mission has 10x the rep of a rookie
Any of my fellow salvagers know if theres a way to pop the canopy on single seat fighters so I can shut it down without soft deathing it?
Ive dumped 160 ballistic scatter gun shells into the canopy of an f8 before to no avail
shoot it with fps weapon
Hull A vs Nomad?
I would say, just use repeaters for that. And I think it would be easier to soft death it, than break the canopy ( personal experience).
Hull A has 64 SCU cargo vs the 24 of the Nomad
but which is better, my friends do salvaging and most of the time i come and take the loot thats inside the salvage ship, so oh wait nvm yeah hull a is better since no combat is involved
Then definitely hull A, it's super easy to load
Nomad is good for carrying a ground vehicle as well like a ROC. It's like a little pickup truck but for pure cargo Hull A is obviously better.
Save up for the RAFT
Marginally more expensive way more value for cargo runs
Can fit an Atlas Geo or 4
cant you just mag lock a vehicle onto the side? i know magloc is a thing in this game
which would make more money? Golem or Cargo Hauling in Hull A?
Only the ATLS
for a novice player flatout grinding prob just stacking the hauling missions with a Hull A, for a skilled player who puts time and effort into the best mining locations, finding the right materials, best refining methods and selling high (particually quant to players) will earn more, but it takes a lot more effort. And you still need a hauling ship to move the stuff.
The golem is more an entry to mining tho so entry to mining vs entry to cargo is prob still more stacked on the hauling side
Problem im seeing with soft deathing is it bars me from being able to pull components sometimes, like the gladius. Cant open the component ports. Can only take guns.
Hi guys! Iām finding it impossible to find caves to mine in. Is there a logical way to find them?
Can you fit a Golem in a Connie Taurus?
Pretty sure you cannot fit the golem in a Taurus unless someone wants to correct me, it's a pretty tight fit in the Asgard!
For caves check verseguide
Btw does a fortune fit into a C2?
It doesn't
You basicly can only hand mine on caves.
And the golem wont fit in a taurus
Sure about that ?
Caves seems a but buggy at the moment
I know⦠I just really want to find some caves to check out and mine.
Some bunker missions take you to the caves
But the quicker way it to use verseguide
I tried verseguide the other day and just got super lost lol. Never found the cave.
Man, never going back to orison thats for sure
trying to sell 120 CM sure takes fcking ages lol
Such specific exact instructions were quite hard to follow. It told me go in such and such direction, at such speed, for like 15 minutes, leaving from such place. Made my head hurt
Okay thanks
does anyone know if the changes to scraper modules was intentional or not?
It's being called a shadow buff but I hope it sticks around. Best salvaging I've ever seen happen.
then stop talking about it or they will NERF it.
You make it sound like CIG doesn't realize they buffed it in the first place lol
No i dont think there is.
DCed ? or bedlog
when you DCed suddenly your 'avatar' remains in game for a while, in that case, yes stability timer still runs.
i mean say im in a golem
i have quant in an ore pod
and i then disconect the pod from the golem and snap it to the carracks cargo grid
will it still decay and go bang
if you bedlog in the Carrack, should be safe.
fair
i was more so planning leaving the carrack in deep space while i then fill other pods planet side
then take all the pods when there full and do 1 huge refine
it will be safer if you take the Quant to a near station and just down on the elevator, that makes the timer completely stop.
thought so
with the new updates to the reclaimer, how's the rmc vs cmat
Hello guys, how good, as revenue goes, to work with my atls geo and two 2x scu crates? (With my cutter for transport). I'm seeing in regolith that Arial has a good proportion of hadanite+ fenmalyne
I am doing this currently but with a Roc and honestly the income is not great but its acceptable for a solo, easy and safe activity, I do it on aberdeen. I tried with the ATLS Geo but too many times it would stop being able to extract (usually after the first time it gets full) and havent found a workaround, and I guess I prefer the roc anyways since u empty the cargo much less often.
Ok, thanks for the reply. The non extraction is a bug then?
yes and there are reports on the issue counsil as well
Shit... I just bought an atls. It was my first choice because I have the cutter and that's the only mining vehicle that fits. Are there any workarounds??
Sorry, didn't ask, how much approximately, you do per hour?
I dont really know cause I dont care, I fill up 4scu and sell takes me about 4 hours playing very relaxed
maybe 3 hours with im lucky finding Feyn often
Okok, thanks anyway!
and the server gives me doubled rocks
How many units are 4scu?
Ok, thanks
np
Not a bad income tbh
The only real difference would be to get the Atlas I think its called, for the Quaram drive.
Anyone have a Drake Vulture, to store suff in the drawer under the bed, only to bedlog, come back, and its all gone?!!!
hauling is dangerous stuff lol
nananaa that was the guiliotine, doesnt count LOL
I got shot at another outpost - bad day so far lol
just tryin' to make an honest living lol
Just wanna feed these fools!
gonna have to park the Asgard till it gets fixed tho, twice it's killed me since 4.2
or keep a Nursa in the back!
yay I finished a mission tonight lol
rep moves so slow in Pyro geez
try the different methods to navigate, like from the nearest beacon - often that is the "easiest" - once you learn how to use the site it is a game changer for sure - keep your eyes open for two caves near each other then you can select the first cave as your starting point in the advanced tab - saving you a lot of time and effort cave jumping. You can also server hop once onsite for another go at the same cave, helpful when first learning caves.
how would one go about puttin the atls on the rafts storage if possible
How are you removing the gems from the pod? If you are putting the whole pod into a larger container and then pulling the gems out from there, it bugs the pod storage amount to no longer recognize when contents have been removed. If you hold the pod container or set it on the ground, open it, and transfer the gems to your backpack first, the pod will not become bugged. This issue also happens to the ROC ore pod.. something about nesting containers causes them to bug out.
For the Atls Geo I just take the gems from the geo's box straight into my backpack and then into a store all box. For the Roc I just switch to a new empty ore pod. I never did what you described in the first part of your comment and I still get the bug often.
elevator says please discard and elevator overloaded on 1 8scu box
what do
im at hydra mills
Hey guys, does the atls geo needs another set of mining equipment for gems in surface??
QT'd around AC with a fully laden Hull-C....Came out of QT and gravity grabbed me. RIP cargo
how does the hull c handle atmo
if its loaded does it just start sinking unrecoverably?
That's the funny thing...It doesnt.
yeah i know that
like
does it explode?
does it just sink and u just watch as ur ship eats shit as it hits the ground or
like
I was fortunate enough that it dropped me out of QT just above A18, so I was impounded before I exploded.
did u go to the city?
when u drop out of qt ur not
any where near
atmo
That said, 18 can't spawn a expanded Hull C even with a extra large hangar available.
It was immediately after dropping out of QT.
Dead stick, max boost up did nothing to compensate.
Time to zero to hero again.
lmao i forgot if u fail a covalex mission with a hull c load it just
fucking resets u
yeah log
wait what
why do u have to zero to hero if u didnt abandon the contract
Because I was stupid and used my own funds....Was at Ruin and was planning on going back, so why waste the trip, right?
Load of Pressured Ice to A18
oh
Nah...I have ~20k auec remaining. Not a big deal to get back...I still have my hauling rep to make money
Just sucks when the game fights you and you still get burned -_-
no, you can switch between a high and low power laser with ALT + 4
Any good recommendations for Experienced Rank Hauling? I'm limited to my Raft and a C1 currently. Made it to Experienced level but I find myself now trudging through running 4 trips for 2 cargos going from New B -> PT and PT -> NB. Trouble is you seem to make more per mission but they take twice as long to do.
I found a series of 3 small cargo experienced lvl Covalex Dept -> 4 Shubin sites and then back again. Something like 69 SCU and 590k payout. Any better runs?
Can anyone tell me what to do? I bought a raft recently and i would to earn a lot of money and wourld like to increase my rep.
Well if you bought a RAFT I suppose that was to do hauling contracts ?
Yeah lile my main goal is to buy a hull c for big contracts
And for now to do that I would like to earn more money easily and fast? What type pf cargo do i choose and what type of rank do i need ?
Stacking multiple small contracts in one go with common collection point is good money making method
I would hold off on the hull c
At least until devs do a full rework on it to address its issues. It's broken nearly every other patch.
I have rarely heard is working reliable enough to contemplate buying
It won't hold as much, but the ironclad looks to be good for hauling
what contract level are you in Covalex hauling? You should be able to find a few missions going from Point A to Point B that you can stack together and make some coin
When will they release the Ironclad?
last I heard they're using the ironclad design components to pre-fab the Kraken and build a catalog of parts for large Drake ships. So I suspect they're going slower on the Ironclads to go much faster on more Drake ships later
Really want me one of those Ironclads! What Drake ships are they cooking up?
earliest... maybe IAE if all the starts align but might be next year. I have a CCU chain for Ironclad I'm working on too
Ironclad, Ironclad Assault, Kraken, Kraken Privateer? , and I think one of those ship silhouettes might be Drake as well. Has wings just like the Corsair.
Right now I would grab the C2. It is much more versatile than the Hull C and for a lot less in game. If you plan to buy in game it is going to be a while before you can grab the ironclad
Def buying in-game. I live in Brazil, so every dollar costs me almost 7 of my money.
Not looking to spend like 5 grand on a virtual ship
understandable
The hull C is really cool when it works, but with the chance of losing a ship every patch it is really really not worth it (I own mine but I got it back when it was $200)
And Iām in love with the idea of the Ares Ion, though Iāve never tested it out before. So maybe Ion and later on the M2. Iām really happy to have gotten a free connie taurus with the new patch, so thatās been my daily driver. Fits all my mining stuff.
The ion is fun!! But it is fairly hard to solo most content with it because it is meant for bigger ships, and is completely outmanoeuvred by smaller fighters
Definitely worth the in game price
I flew the Scorpius during Invictus and loved that! Completely obliterated all bounties I did. Iām still on low bounties though, so who knows.
Much like many of the heavy fighters, it's not really meant to solo anything, let alone light fighters.
that said it looks like the Aries inferno is getting a nice buff on the ptu Right now
It's my opinion, at minimum heavy fighters are meant to travel in pairs.
I mean, it works surprisingly well for station to station hauling missions as long as you dont attempt to do more than a single mission at a time.
I've heard too many complaints to consider it. Plus no planetary flight in the games overall current state is an automatic no go for me
I was looking at the Hull C to do some of the Experienced level contracts but the feedback about it so far is ...interesting to say the least
Just to be clear, the Hull C at experienced+ is one of the fastest income generators per hour in game. The only downside is its a bit boring.
I got one a few days ago been doing missions fine it has its problems at times kinda like asops elevators hangers do
See a bunch of other hull cs out there too
And has a very debatable track history of completion, not to mention the risk is all on the user as is the upfront cost
Free floating commodities for missions is a common occurrence outside stations these days
not just stations, I had to push some 2 and 4 scu containers out of the way just to deliver my cargo last night to a few depots and outposts
Anyone else really looking forward to the resource event in 4.2.1?
Yes. The requirement for visiting ground outposts for some of it means my prowler utility will get some good use. Yoink!
I got my raft that Iām going to park right in front of the elevator to load stuff.
Really hoping to get the raft paint reward
It is the fastest.... When it works...
Nah, having an idris and doing the 200k hammerhead combat gauntlet mission is the fastest.
Easily making 4-6mil an hour that way.
And it will only cost you the low low price of 1900 USD to get in on it!
Though, you can just rent it from players who don't play the game but buy ships for 1mil / day.
wheres a good place to sell gems in pyro?
If your goal is money / favor farming its actually pretty reasonable to find a rental idris.
Check https://uexcorp.space/ for the best prices for gems/ores
It isn't super stable to rely on this tho. And it locks you into flying an Idris.
However you should be able to store it in your persistent hangar (if it is an extra large)
My biggest problem is if you find a railgun version abandoned with no torps, then you cant restock it reasonably.
Is there no way to sell Caranite besides directly selling to other players?
I don't believe so. You can turn them in as a part of the rayari research missions
Which brings their value down by quite a bit
Better to just sell them, or use them for your own Wikelo ship
Well Iāll just hold on to them. I canāt do OLP solo so trying to figure out what to do with the bit I have.
Be nice if Wileko had things to trade that werenāt only found in PvP hotspots
That is the beauty of player trading. You can grind PVE or industry stuff for other parts of it and trade other players for their time in the PVP zones.
I do both, but I know plenty who avoid PVP like the plague
You can trade them in 50 at a time to get 1x favor for wikelo and then use favors to gamble on ships.
I only got like 30 right now
And sadly watch as the favors disappear inexplicably from your inventory hangar, or a box of them warps behind a wall. Or that ship you got for 20 favors disappears with the patch š«
I got 3 favors from turning in script. Going to take me awhile to get a Wileko ship
Not too long, you can run those Gauntlet missions on repeat. Easier if you have a buddy or org with a Polaris or Idris. 10 favors for the base ships (keep in mind they are weighted RNG, and higher chances of getting a certain one at a certain station).
Ok. Iāll save my favors and just farm script. Maybe Iāll use the caranite for some of the cool armor
I just really want this new upcoming event to succeed so I can actually do content I like instead of playing space tarkov
I just worry about this game becoming space rust.
All random stuff is going away with Wikelo
SOONā¢
Update: No More Random Rewards
All collector rewards will become deterministic, meaning you'll know what you are going to get when accepting a mission. All existing Wikelo contracts will be updated to reflect this change.
have a source for that?
That will be nice. So now I just need to get enough favorsš
So what are the odds that the new event will just be a PvP nightmare? Or do you think everything will be spaced out enough to not be a problem?
Very good read on some nice changes, not all "right now" but soonā¢
the random though will be changed now
gotta save up our scripts
Freight Elevators for cargo mission pickups might be contested, but otherwise all the other mission types seem unlikely to cause PvP interactions. Maybe an uptick in miners getting pirated š¤·
We'll have to see what the return of security ships is like too, whether you can camp stations or not
Hopefully the cargo elevators are in an armistice zone
The delivery points are all LEO stations, far as Ive gathered. Not sure about pick ups
I assume the event begins when 4.2.1 goes live?
What is a resource event?
In the ptu itās a new mining and cargo hauling event coming to up
sigh its a good run but the commodities going back to Covalex Depot are only half accepted but instead of paying half you get paid 1/3rd and stuck with contracted cargo
any way to get containers stuck in elevator saying please discard, i have 64 bioplastic i need to get out in 8scu boxes
at hydro mills
are you able to lower it again to store it and maybe bed log to try on another shard?
tried multiple servers and im trying to get things out
So when I popped into the TDD on NB last night, I learned that I have a whole bunch of āstolenā cargo in my local inventory. Stims in this case. Iām assuming itās left over from a cargo mission that went wrong at some point as Iāve never stolen cargo⦠But what do I do with it?? I donāt really want to fly it to Grim Hex.
Grim will be your safest and quickest place to sell that.
your other options wiould be:
- Brio's Breaker Yard (Daymar)
- Reclamation & Disposal Orinth (Hurston)
- Samson & Son's Salvage Center (Wala)
Itās been a while, but I recall Grim used to get camped out an awful lot?
nah, most Grieffers are on Pyro, rarely seen on Grim.
if someone wanted to do mining in pyro where would someone mine at or should i stick to stanton
Iāve heard Feynmaline is minable on one of the Pyro V moons.
Ignis maybe? edit: Qutatron said Fuego, he found lots of Feynmaline.
Bloom and Terminus are great, a friend was lucky with quant at Pyro2
alright thanks i will try that i am new to mining in pyro so i will need to find refinery also
all mayor stations have refinery, Checkmate, Orbituary, Ruin..
okay thanks i am at orbit right now i will try and look for it
Hey is there a bug that stop your cargo from showing at the TDD i have my cargo stored in my storage but its not showing up im at orsion and trading Gold
sometimes it is in a diffrenet spot try clicking on all the storage spots on the TDD
yea i look under my name and under Orison and then general storage and nothing comes up
what about your ship
Corrected/edit.
this is how you fit 39 scus on a Vulture
Do yall prefer hauling contracts or just regular hauling? I like contracts cuz it eliminates the risk and itās quicker to load sometimes, and itās only a pay issue until you gain enough rep
Also can someone send me a cross section of the Starlancer MAX cuz Iām getting that next, upgrading from Taurus
contracts i just need someone to show me how to use hull c
also i can lend you my max
Contracts 100% safer and easier
All I need to know is if the contracts scale with the ship you use
no
Cuz I use a Taurus and never get anything past 120
Oh then whatās the point of upsizing
ur ships supposed to scale kinda with the quest they just get bigger the higher rep you are
whats ur rep
should be getting some bigger ones
some tho
most of them will be small
once you hit experienced then youll get in the hundreds and even thousands all the time
My highest paying mission was 101k for a 87 scu haul from Magnus gateway to Everus Harbor
Thousands???? What can even handle that much!?!
broken hull c
Does it depend on Chrisās mood at the time ur using it?
i think it really just depends on being the literal chosne few
like 30 people can use it
Oooooh itās 16 mil at new dealā¦.
i can lend mine
Do I risk it for the Hull C or do I take the stepping stone to Starlancer MAX
but wont get much use until experienced and again if it works for you i shall hold you in my heart with anger
hull c took all my money and i didnt know what to do and i went into negative rep with covalex
add me on discord ill be awaiting ur fated day
But the highest paying jobs give the highest rep?
Cuz I wanna progress in hauling
And Hull C is pretty cool ngl
I miss the days of instant loading š«©
Hauling takes so long now but itās fair cuz it was absolutely busyed
help hull c is telling me cargo transfer complete?
yeah its a bug
It's a bug (STARC-164343). Supposed workaround is to remove all unsellables and excess trash from station inventory (i.e. into a StorAll box that's in the station's inventory should be enough) - quasi graser eggs, envelopes, coins, medals, etc.
thank you i just ended up selling everything at Grim hex
They're not ores.
They're rock types.
Looks like NPC cops coming back for the next industry event

lol they are absent in current PTU
I saw the new paints for the 4.2.1 event and I love them all!
more thrilled over industrial armor you get as reward
š¤·š»āāļø
i know whats in patch notes just i did not saw them in PTU
I havenāt seen the armor set yet. I know we get ones I just havenāt seen any photos posted of it.
Thanks!
[Hauling Mission Changes, coming to a future 4.2.1 patch - KoakuCIG]
Your initial Intro mission will be in the standard hauling Expander, after you complete this, that tab will vanish!
Afterwards, missions will be split into:
- Bulk Grade
- Supply Grade
- Small Grade
we shall rejoice
Noice
Oh thank Chris Roberts for that change!
Yes! I wanna fill my raft will boxes. This will make finding those large hauling missions much easier
anyone know what to do when the hull c wont unload, the bar just wont progrss, I tried waiting out the time, jumped away came back, moved boxes nothing i try unloads
we should have a help channel just for the MANY Hull C bugs and glitches
sorry if its a common thing asked here, I just got it and was very excited to try it and it just isnt letting me do anything with it feels like a waste of time for all the cargo hauling i did to get enough money for it
get used to it, half of the times, the Hull C wont work and you will lose time and credits.
the other half it will profit you generously.
i enjoy cargo I just hate loading and unloading so when I learned you didnt need to do either for the hull c i guneed for it
welp i give up no matter what i try it wont work, ig thats all the sc for today its a shame i was so excited
has anyone tried mining gagdets this patch? im having trouble getting them working
How annoying is soloing a reclaimer compared to soloing a Mole? Has anyone done both and could give their 2 cents on the day to day life?
id imagine unloading it from the hopper and then from the cargobay inside out would be annoying
cause it was designed with no freight elevator use in mind
wdym hopper?
the internal storage
the machines that u use to make it into actual boxes
its hopper
oh ok TIL
yeah
well I have no idea what the reclaimer cargobay looks like but thanks for the info
its ass
are any reworks expected soon ?
or maybe new middle man ship between vulture and reclaimer
I use this ship all the time solo and the rear drop in chute works fine if you learn the little tricks about using it. I have even sold crates via the TDD with the ship stored no unloading. After Monday we can do a joint session if you want.
wait i forgot about the chute
that might fix it honestly
and middle man between vulture and reclaimer, for that i have no idea, cig hasnt said anything about it
knowing them give it 3 years or next update middle class ships for mining and salvage
would love that, whats ur TZ
Minus 6 cst....
thats in the US right
cst is yes
Yes
right maybe we could organize a session
I can dm you so we don't clog up this channel...
k
honestly the chute is so nice, just yoink it out the printer/hopper turn 90 upwards and force it between the chute exterior door and the little elevator
pops out most of the time and then any that get stuck you just close the chute and open it back up
can u sell rmc at seraphim?
cause uexcorp says u can
and im trying
and i cant
and it says seraphim isnt full
Are there Cargo missions inside of Pyro systems ? and if there is how much does they pay
and is it hull c sized
stanton is the only hull c sized missions currently
i think terra will have hull c missions and bigger for the bigger hull series
cause of misc factories
idk about seraphim but damn near any floating metal object in pyro takes rmc
theres also grim hex for stanton but idk if theres still the little ui bug where you have to click a corner of the commodity to get the sell option
u cant
i read the wrong page
seraphim is where u sell
which is fine, cause ill offload at seraphim and then go bqack out, then get in my cutlass and take it to seraphim
oh shit reclaimer has pdcs now
and wave 4
I sold rmc today in grim hex no issues, but I also had a smooth ass server.
aussie servers are probably more laggy than other ones since less servers and no constant supervision
thank you
honestly what would u be hauling in pyro
Are there any good gadjets or set ups for the geo? I bought it because it was a cheap entry into mining while i save up for a prospector
https://upload.superintendent.me/u/JBoGRx.jpg
is it because orsion is full? its also my home base but i dont know if its only broken at microtech and a18 or all the planets
its not for lack of demand...
yes, i sold 39 boxes last nite
did you tried a different server
idk why its doing this
i can
let me try
i just hate having to travel every time
just cross the bridge
oh i was using the tdd at providence platform not cloudview center
eh whatever ill check that one
got it
ty
eu servers are the best
this sounds made up. with zero proof whatsoever
