Check UEX Corp site
They have a trading route planner that can help estimate profit
Remember that the prices of commodity are reported by real players and the data is not real time
Some of it can be weeks old some can be fresh
I'm doing some salvaging and I was adjusting the scraper distance but instead of going left and right they go up and down 😭
have I pressed something?
lalt+rmb perhaps?
Did they change the Caterpillar doors? If yes i'm gonna apply M2 to Ironclad Assault and get Caterpillar until it is released and use ROC with it.
Any fix for GEO not scanning a mineable? Know there is a bug and contributed. Seeing if there is a work around.
It is not a GEO specific bug but sadly I do not know of any work around
Okay thanks
I could hand with a multi tool mine so not totally broken. Heard it affects ship mining as well.
got a invisible wall so manual out then atls
Has anyone had any problems selling construction materials in Pyro lately?
Hey yall, can we buy additional bags for the Golem?
Ik they have 2 bags for ore storage and those 2 bags can be stored on a grid, but can we buy additional bags?
Ie) can I run like 3 golems outa a Polaris for a mining venture
cstone says drake ore pods are for sale pretty much everywhere
you can swap bags yes
but to refine you have to refine from a mining ship
so you would also need to swap them and refine each one by one
That would be a pain lol.
So it isn't viable to operate 3 golems out of a Polaris then? Or?
it is viable
Just we will need to seperate the ore pods to sell them all.
and refining with bag swaps can be faster than going back and forth to the mining site especially in pyro
i tried it with a friend in a mole and it was ok just took a it of figuring out
Gotcha. And it would provide additional safety so.
it could also brake and render the ore unusable
just citizen things
hmm when i go on to atls in a planet it clips below the c2 and the cargo on the elevator goes back in
This is a known issue with the ATLS, It frequently causes death or incapacitation. Its been confirmed at least once on the Issues Council. You can have your buddy stand by with a max lift and stabilze you with the tractor beam if you start to phase after you get in the ATLS.
yea i knew it well this time it didnt kill me twice it has happened
from what I have heard its not an issue with the GEO, why they did not fix the base ATLS with the GEO release I have zero idea. Probably a bit of code here and there.
in general, I would recommend you use the MPUV tractor for large unloads / loads while the ATLS remains a Murder Hobo. However, there is a known issue with that as well as the rear tractor beam turret causes severe eye strain after awhile because the line of sight goes down the Tractor Beam axis. This produces a lot of Occlusion and other "Tractor beamy" effects which look cool from the sides, but not from the center causes issues.
I know the 200k XenoThreat salvage missions in Pyro from 4.0 got pulled but has anyone tried the lower value salvage missions and do they also spawn ships with lootable cargo?
oh well actually i noticed it did on that mining platfrom base and not the rock on salvage and co
@rain tinsel actually that area there might be bugged seems it was missing stuff i supposed to have,i do have them but not accepting them wierd
looks like you might have left a couple of containers behind? maybe under the ramp?
i had them in the ramp but it woudnt accept them, just stored them
yeah I see the issue there, no specific 2nd pickup
I would just record the error in the Issue Council and then submit the contract, youll get partial rep and payment for it
multiple direct contracts are always more desireable
yea i usally do direct but got this one time
Once you get to experienced, you start getting the ones that max out the C2 and or the Hull C even
with a single load
There are a few Hull C loads that pay around 800K for 1 stop, though across stanton usually
a word of advice, stay out of the previous tiers, once you get member level dont take recruit or juniors anymore, its just not enough rep
I think you need like 5 previous level to get the rep of a single current level on completion
i do that, wish you could hide previous level ones
yeah the contract system is in serious need of a filter system, they can start by making the "mark all read" button actually do something
and actually i have ironclad ccu just not applied it yet cause i find the c2 better to caterpillar
the 120k ones drop eggs and slam
anywhere from 10 to 150 scu of eggs/slam, avg is probably around 40 per mission
oh got the member on the cargo hauling, now should some good ones
Yo! New to mining!
I wanna do surface mining with the GEO, am I understanding this correctly that Euterpe ONLY has the S tier Quantanium and C tier Copper?
Not sure if that data is pre or post 4.1, but it looks pretty accurate.
I wanna store my Geo in my vulture, is Euterpe a nice place to mine AND salvage?
Wrong chat for that message..
not so many direct ones naw
What are these types? Im not sure what signature to look for for quantanium 😮
those are asteroid types. There is no signature for quantanium, just a signature for the type of asteroid, which generates a chance of getting quantanium
Thanks
as you level up it's more drops, Senior/Master are almost exclusively multi drop
ah
But I've read Euterpe only had quantanium and copper, so what signature should I look for ?
if it only has quantanium and copper, it doesn't matter. Every rock will be just quant and / or copper. I doubt that is the case, but go look for sure.
@pearl juniper this chart says it. Not sure how accurate it is, but yeah
yeah, I saw the chart. But remember that chart is player generated data. If they don't have much data for a location it can really skew things. Maybe it's right, but it's very surprising if it is. Historically a good chance at finding quantanium is a place with 6-7%. Like this older chart from Redmonster
Does ROC mining or vehicle mining work again? Anybody tried it already today?
its random server form server due to lag
and to anyone interested
there is a dropdown to select 4.0 data which includes 4.0.2 data
that is for regolith site
regolith site has now been reset for 4.1
it is manually gathered data
if you select advanced mode you can see that they have scanned and reported mostly quant rocks
that site with 4.1 data is HEAVLY uncertain and not reliable
there is a chance that this is how the distribution looks but i highly doubt that
Thanks, I tried mining and I def dont like it and went back to salvaging lmao
Anyone knows the signature to look for panels ?
anything wit xx.000
I dont know if im getting it wrong or you, a geo can only Harvest gems not big rocks that are meant for ship mining
does server hopping work to fix hand/roc mineables being ghost objects? I'm on my 3rd server now and still unable to mine anything on Aberdeen.
Oh, I gave up and went back to panel salvaging lol. Thanks tho 🙂
I just want to say that. Geo is like roc /hand mining quantinium is not meant to be Harvested with these
it is not certain as many servers are not workig
and when you are joining make sure that the server name is in fact different, otherwise you just reloged into the same one
yeah I'm joining completely different regions and checking ID 👍
oke
well still, many servers can just not work and the new gems are prone to being broken
@weak tinsel have you actually had success mining gems on the surface of a planet in the last day? anyone?
Until they fix refining I just don't feel like mining
did indeed mine a bit yesterday
4th server (Feynmaline)
try scanning the rock frist
and surfuce rocks can ONLY be mined by either GEO o ROC rover
I treid in the roc as well, this shows that I'm inside one of the nodes, it has no collision box or anything
cant help much more sadly
thanks for tryin!
I found a server where shooting the nodes with my ship seem to collide with it, gonna try to find a roc mineable now
omg it worked. strategy was:
- Go to planet and attempt to shoot big mineable rocks (ship-mineables are fine).
- If bullets collide with rock you're good—go find some rocks/gems! If not:
- Nav up to no atmo and bed log. Switch servers (switch region etc.)
- Repeat
good to know
Or just land and bedlog
I heard bed loggin on planet was a bad idea so I've always avoided it
is it safe now?
i keep to the bad idea
and also while you land on a planet it might not work with deposts. like it would keep them laded idk tho just guessing here
I say just log and try another day
hey guys
if a station stops buying my goods because the demand is too low, can i just go to another server with the hope that there will be demand at the same station?
Yeah- thats new data that doesn't have much in yet- Go Cellin.
Hi, can drake golem be used for delivering refined ores?
No, it does not have a cargo grid
Ore bags are for mined ore
After refining, it becomes SCU boxes of commodity. You will need a ship with an interior (and ideally a cargo grid) to ferry it to market.
Thank you🥹
What other ships do you have?
What's a good starting ship for salvaging?
There's only one salvage "starter" buyable in game atm, it's the Vulture.
Mods aren't omniscient, ping someone active or DM @noble viper
Ah, appreciate that. Thought we had more options.
Fortune, when that becomes buyable in came
bought a ROC, and when I tried to retrieve a ship to put it on, the ROC disappeared from the hangar even though it was not on the platform?
also is it normal that as soon as I exit the ROC in the hangar, it starts shifting all over the place for a while
yep lol it phases halfway into the floor for me
dammit this thing drives like shit
it trips over the lights embedded in the hangar floor 😖
can it really survive outside?
(reposting here in case this is a better channel than #ccu-and-fleet-advice) I'm getting annoyed by how little I can actually fit in the Zeus ZL when doing hauling missions. the size 8 SCU sized containers take up an akward amount of space so I end up not being able to fill my ship and do multiple trips instead. Do yall think the raft would be better for medium hauling jobs?
I have 2 orepods from golem in cargo full, but when i go to refine there isnt any options to select material location. is it bugged?
does the orion mine faster than it refines?
will* it
if any1 knows the current idea for it
We do not know
heard
Are prices on uexcorp in SCU? Some of these stats confuse me
they're in SCU usually, what bit is confusing you?
so i see the UEC under the Sell tab of commidities, but under the Users part it says "3618 UEC per SCU on average"
which commodity?
Pressurized Ice
PICE had a massively inflated value in the last patch, it should be back down to its normal average of 700-800 now.
Those user submissions are based on the last 15 days, and for 11 of those 15 days the price was like 2000x what it is now
UEXCorp is, afaik, not really intended to be able to deal with devs meddling with pricing this much and still make sense
ah, hmm. Is there a website that is better for determining trades?
cool, thank you!
the last column says someone made a 65875 profit per SCU 19 hours ago off of Pice O_0
right, what is a good ship to start mining from scratch?
Where is the best place to mine and what should I be looking for?
Yes, that was last patch when we had MASSIVELY inflated values for Copper, Corundum, Pressurised Ice and Tin due to Supply or Die.
hmm. How come it says 19h ago on the website?
doesn't look like 19hr to me
I don't think it's reasonable for them to mess with their statistical data and hysteresis for a few commodities that most players will know were messed with last patch
Also, user-submitted data is not always reliable
I see. Thank you for the tips!
I'm a little late to the party where do you mine jaclium?
or is the part of the new event and mineable after the laser like caranite?
for hauling, do cargo haul sizes (extra small, small, medium, etc) raise your rep at different intervals? or is it all the same?
the higher rank (trainee, rookie, contractor etc) matters
I see
that makes sense. So Junior is better than Rookie, but extra small junior vs medium rookie doesn't matter?
cant' be certain of that, but I suspect size doesn't matter ||lol||
Is the Aberdeen one of the event broken? The battery gens are always closed
Right, how can i see how much i got in my mining ship?
And also, the MOLE cannot mine solo?
On the pilot seat that is
Pilot seat doesn't have laser controls, you have to change seats to mine
And your mining inventory is shown in mining mode (m)
Which the pilot seat can do, and the turrets don't need to do.
Mining mode is also how you scan rocks
Is there a site I can use to showcase visually where all the authority servers change in game?
the Zeus CL is the cargo variant, but you can rent a freelancer max ingame with 120 or rent a const taurus with 170, i never do missions where i do more then 1 trip, better to do more smaller hauling contracts together then.
no cargo size does not matter, i made master on member jobs faster then my buddy with a bigger ship doing bigger jobs
does refined stuff refine into the same SCU as its raw?
No, the yield depends on the process used
What is the most I could make as a new player, with rented ships or such? I have 2.6m to my name that I’m willing to spend if I can make it back fairly quick, I’m trying to get to a C2
You could invest in a Vulture and do salvaging as you have enough now, it's normally my goto ship after a wipe to start earning wealth.
I would just try different game loops to see what you enjoy and not try to grind one thing. For haulage if you like that the Hull A is good for stacking rookie missions and the Freelancer Max is good for the medium missions.
You can also rent a Drake Corsair now (I saw it at Lorville) that's a great all rounder and ideal for stacking local haulage missions once you reach member rank.
Buy Vulture
Farm some rmc to get a cutlass
Like Fitzie said I think the most important thing is to enjoy what you're doing because any way you slice it it's going to be a grind.
What do you fly now and what are you doing to make credits in it?
this station doesnt work cant get in, can you use landing pads for cargo?
Is there a way to track where your work orders are or do u just have to remember?
@mild pumice can you deliver cargo from landing pads on stations?
Nice you need a hangar, the only places with external freight elevators are surface outposts and distribution centers
just saw this
the station wont let me in
and i love it
the request doesnt work
not even with f11?
Try from MFD or F11 instead of the key binding
not even f11
i wanna see this
if i log to menu do i lose contracts ? cause HUR-L3 seems broken for me
Does using the fortune feel like it takes much longer than vulture?
it worked went to magnus and back
Yep
Fortune has 1 salvage beam like the reclaimer turrets
Vulture has 1 per arm
Tbh
Reclaimer should get s2 heads for a larger area
I really do find compartmentalised stacking too satisfying lol
I like it but it's only good up to about 400scu
it can't take 32s (wel it can but off grid and a bit of a faff)
it's great for sorting multi drops tho
Dont use 32su with cat
One compartment can take 64scu of 32scu
Use 24scu or 16
To go to 96scu per compartment
that's why it's good for the medium senior hauls as they all use 16s (6x 16 per compartment)
C2 is nice now too that the ramps are fixed
I prefer to do these on the Hurston loop becuase it's smaller than the Crusader/MT loops 🙂
on Hurston too
hmm i just picked less silicon from everus, time to go back again
sight
@weak oyster don't forget server maintenance in a couple of hours so break for lunch and make sure you store your ship lol
I've got an egg sandwich, cockpit stinky lol
i did chicken and rice xd
on my last drop now so should be around 45mins for the 325k, they should pay a little more really as there's no profit in it to hire a helper
500k would be fair I think and the time would come down too with a helper
i got 3 missions but are on same locations if not wrong
that's always a nice loop, I think I have done those as I was levelling up
oh those 2 1 SU silicon crates are nowhere guess that contract is getting partial completed
that's mine done 🙂
i really want thrusters on the atls
not insane boosters on the geo
just for the quick dash
we meet again
Does it reset if you leave the terminal? I've noticed a bit of jank with the freight elevators resetting (especially at surface outposts) so I actually jump on the panel before putting any cargo on so it can reset itself
it doesnt
last time i had it i went elsewhere came back and it worked will try this time too
hmm didnt work
worked after coming back after a while
Ive spontaneously upgraded to a vulture, i have the abrade head, is there anything else i need to to help with salvaging speed?
You have two abrade? (heads the one it comes with, plus one more). Other than that, No. Can make it a little stealthy if you are wanting to avoid detection
Faster more efficient qt drive is nice. I really like the civilian grade A drives. Faster acceleration and cool down than the industrial drives, so they are faster for all but the longest jumps. Even if the top speed is a bit lower
I only bought one, where do i get the new qt drives and stuff? Is it the platinum bay
Check erkul, they are scattered all over the place depending on exactly what you want
And actually the stealth stuff may be a bit buggy right now. Seems to always have higher than expected IR. so probably not worth messing with
did you read the note that erkul has on that ?
The warning up over time thing? Yeah, it's not that. For example, a setup that erkul says should be like 7k on a hornet starts at 15.1, and warms up to 15.5, but never goes lower. And adding a second cooler just makes it go even higher
Stealth coolers do lower it some, but it's still way higher than it "should" be. To be fair I don't know what it's supposed to be, but it's way higher than erkul says.
the datasheet has not been updated yet
anything below C2? i dont have a C2 😦
A C2 can fit a bunch thats all i know
you can try to figure it out by looking at its dimensions listed on starcitizen.tools and then looking what SCU capacity that is
1SCU box is = 1.25m on all three axis so XYZ its 1.25
thank you
width is 5.6 scu
height is exactly 4 scu
length is 12.5 scu
so find a ship that has a bit larger than these dimensions of a hangar and try to fly in
but i do not understand why would you want to haul the golem around
One issue I guess could be no interior. So how would you drink or eat if you needed to?
aint no way you dont have to go to a station befroe this is a issue
True
but would let you last out there longer if you had a mother ship per say, unload and stuff
696 SCU
how in the hell ya go that number ?
thats the in-game cargo grid
thats a lot of carg damn
vehicle wise last time i tried me a few org memebers were able to fit 2 nova tanks
i think we have a fitment sheet for most curent ships, lemme go find the command or image it posts
it looks like when the pulse came it it was last updated but not for the fresh stuff thats recent
sc tools is a great site for quick ship info
all 1/8scu box grid are fcked
is there a limit on how many work orders you can have at a refinery?
not that I have ever found / heard of
is it normal to get thruster damage ("major torque imbalance") pretty much every time you fracture an asteroid? ship doesn't even alert of taking damage, but then when I start moving I'm getting the torque imbalance
nothing noticeable in the ship handling, just the HUD alert
nothing visual either, but the self status display is bugged and doesn't show the ship holo so no idea about that
hangar services do find some damage as there is always some cost to repair
It's typically happened for me when I'm within the blast radius of a rock that had gone into the red, even if briefly.
There is a very brief alert at the time of the break as well, so it is hard to miss
I'm typically never in the warning range (the yellow hatched area with the alert icon)
if that's the blast radius?
I mean on the right side with the grey/green/red break progress
proximity does play a factor in it, but the radius is so large you can't mine and be unaffected
I see
I just ignore it since like you said it doesn't affect much
my assumption was the alert range on the left gauge indicates potential damage warning
only when I mess up (by not paying attention) do I take damage that actually affects flight
that torque imbalance is minimal but the game does alert of it
mine with shields on should be fine
if it pops up sadly not much you can do to prevent it
question bc its confusing as heck. when im flying around trying to find minables for my geo, I keep finding everything that i cannot mine, how am I supposed to know what can and cant be mined by what?
There is no indicator for mass until you get close to it, sadly
Oh the geo, you gotta get close and find the clusters of the gems
the gauge is a indication of the damage area
but overcharging a rock can make the range to over 500m
so it's damage area without overcharge
well i keep finding clusters like this that used to indicate ROC mineables but when i get my geo out it doesnt allow me to interact with the deposits.
I think that's a known issue being addressed in an upcoming patch
so the geo is useless atm?
I just dropped all my money on the geo and a carrier ship for it lol
yes it is that indeed
yikes lol
the ground deposits can and mostly are buggeed out
Patience. It'll get fixed
my friend has been able to mine them on Fuego? the pyro planet
we are playing in stanton tho
So fly on over
its beautiful, its amazing , but we die every time as soon as we do anything
mind that you should not fly into the gateway really fast
can you put unrefined ore in the cargo elevator to refine or does it need to be on the ship?
I mean just by players. they are everywhere killing everyone lol
the bags must be attached to a ship
ship
unfortunate
no lol
its empty as hell unles you try to find ppl
lol that may be but 5/5 trips there yesterday ended up in piracy in the first 10 min of showing up. and we are now broke completely haha
Have better OPSEC
Understand your emission range
you can hit the tunnel walls just before the end
it will brake the jump module and you need to repair it on a station
but that spits you out in a random spot in the system letting you be safe
opsec? my emission ranges are stock... broke af, 20k starting cash and prices are skyrocketed 😛
we make it through the tunnel perfectly, we dont crash anywhere. we get shot by people XD
so then what planet is recommended in pyro for GEO mining
this is where my firend mines and thus far it worked most of the time
Staying far away from QT jump points is an easy first start
So you jump to a point, then fly 30-40km away from that spot to start looking for something
adds a few minutes, but adds a layer of protection from a lazy pirate seeking an easy kill
Right, im trying to understand how mining works and what is the best configuration for a prospector, any tips?
does the "optimal" laser range affect extraction too, or only fracturing?
what suits do you wear now to protect from cold? I cant find the old suit in the refinery we used to use years ago
yes
extraction speed gets affected
tho only the last 20% affect it much
hold on i did a lot of text for this imma need to find it
More Mass = more power
More resistance % = that much % less power
instability = power gets stacked in batches that are a little bigger or smaller, just the green bar filling in bursts, really high instability are really big bursts really hard to control
Inert filtration = unimportant/useless imo, its a % reduction in innert extraction form a rock,
window size = how much error you get for the bar to fill, the size of the green zone
the personal stuff about mining loadouts comes in what you like
i do not care for stability since i do not mine quantanium and even when i do i can manage it
i care for power since solo mining i can crack 20k mass 30% resistance or around that
i dont care for optimal window size since i am patient and enjoy playing with the power bar, my green zone is maybe 3% of the total
most ppl use the Helix laser
i would put 2x reiger c3 and 1x focus 3 on it
tho as the wall of text states
it is a personally choice, this one maximizes mass over any other stat
#industrial-professions message if you want to play with different configurations off line and see what sort of rocks (mass and resistance anyway) you should be able to crack. Or get an idea if it's worth getting out to put a gadget on a specific rock, or worth while to try a surge on it if equipped.
geezus, its more dense than bounty hunting
bount hunting is just
I shoot shit goes boom
this a nice tool
do bother zorg about pinning it or some other mod
idk if i should ping
either them or me
jo why am i not finding any hadanite
bad luck
or you are not on a planet that has it
am on aberdeen
Also is there a tool to know best places to sell stuff?
!UEX
Like, i have some SCU's of beryl, where is the best place to sell it
UEX corp on the web
on foot looking for caves or ROC/GEO surfuce deposits?
im roc mining
when scanning look for pings that are closer than 5km
they should be gem deposits
ping them on max focus to see, the gem deposits are really dense clusters of pings
im not getting any pings
let alone ones under 5k
Its random. If yo udont get anything within a few minutes- you can either QT to a different location or bedlog and come in.
Also- are you having your scanning angle set?
nope
50% is usually a good one to start with
how?
and are you in scan mode?
yes
easiest way is to look at your keybinds for the key.
what do look for scanning angle or does have a different name in game
trying to find a screenshot of what it should look like
scan mode is V by defoult
bottom right bar is the Focus bar
fully loaded bar means 100% or a 1 degree ping
0% is 360degree ping
like this?
ye
Thats it 🙂
one scroll from 0 is 50%
50% Good job
then it goes by 1/2 of that %
so 75 and so on
aight ima try that thx
is hand mining impossible? all rocks I found are ghosts
its a currently ongoing issue with like 90% of severs
there is no workaround
it is due to massive server ping that you do not feel
Just server hop. IT might take you a bit to find one that works, but its doable. Pyro is much better than Stanton right now
^^
Why does mining doesnt feel rewarding? I mean, i got 14 SCU's of refined beryl and it felt completely underwhelming selling it, almost 40k
beryl is a low end material worth little
regolith.rocks has a table of materials
mining the 3 i think S tier material
baxelite and other
thats what you want to do
gold is heavy af and it makes rock mass soooo much that its is most of the time not possible to mine solo
Might take my Golem out later, haven't flown it yet, what's a good all rounder setup these days? It's got 2 slots hasn't it? Passives probably. I normally just sell my ores I don't bother with refining
Just the time and skill compared to other things. Its underpaid
5 min hauling same money
i see, it would take a lot more time to mine that
yeah its funny or ironic
mining is chill and fun
it can be a lot of money quickly or nothing
currently due to servers being on fire it is hard
and hauling to make good cash quickly needs large expensive ships
what waiting 10min does to a mf
pocket sized 10 man mining operation
for any one wondering
Fego in pyro
still waiting for my first work orders ever to complete, and I'm wondering, if refineries work in cSCU, how do you receive your yield? do you only get whole SCU boxes and the fractional remainder stays in the refinery for subsequent orders?
whole SCU boxes
the value in refinery is 100X the amount of SCU
the ore amount gets rounded to whole SCU iirc
for each individual order, or do the fractional parts accumulate across orders?
so there's never any point in refining any material that will yield less than 100 cSCU
it always rounds UP to the next full SCU
if you were to put like 0.5SCU and it will yeald 0.3SCU i will go to 1SCU
if the yield is 1401cCSU, you get 15 scu
but 1.3 will be 1
oh really ?
pretty sure it always rounds up
oh that's not bad then
thats what i was told LONG ago
I haven't tracked it super close, except for a few jobs in supply or die where I had a spread sheet to keep track of my materials at various locations, and I was entering numbers (when I started jobs) with rounding up and it always matched up in the end. But also I might be mis remembering and the jobs were more than x.5 scu. Pretty sure I had some that were less than xx.5 and they rounded up though
Seems to me that when refining, you can end up with SCU containers that are not entirely full. I haven't checked that in detail lately though.
how would that even work, UI-wise? do you get a fractional box somehow?
box mass maybe?
so if you sell it, does it count as a fractional amount of SCU
i remember getting a 42.5Ton Copper 32scu box and a 37.3Ton 32 scu box of copper
both from one order
prolly no but idk
every material has different density
full boxes of different stuff weigh different amounts
with high paying materials loosing like 0.5 of a 100scu load is nothing really
but prices are per SCU not per ton
oh you mean different weights of the same material
this does sound weird
are you sure one box wasn't 24 SCU
nope hard to mistake 32 scu boxes on a raft
Can you manually add mining modules? Or is the mobi the only way to do it?
Yep- if you open your ship ports and use a tractor beam, you can add or change modules
where do you sell ROC / GEO mineables in pyro?
is it worth turning off refinement of the low-end materials? does it save you time or money? or does it just save you the hassle of dealing with the cargo afterwards?
Surface mining working at all since the hotfix?
dammit I thought only the vulture has these weird no-atmo spots here and there, but turns out the prospector also has those
Starlancer has them as well
Some quyestions -> What armor is that, what ship is that and where i can get those fuckers?
ship is the zeus, CL i belive
zeus is the ship and those are atls geos inside it which are pledge only rn
Looks like adp-mk 4 armor in woodland colour as well.
is it not possible to collect a refinery order into station storage? only with a ship?
Not yet, they need to rework the system
It's still the old system from before cargo empires patch
but aint there another one that does something else?
Can someone explain the work around to mining right now? just bought a bunch of mining related stuff because its the only loop i havnt tried and now every single rock i come up to is unscannable and my laser wont interact with it.
yeah normal tractor beam atls, you can buy that one in-game for like 75k at a18 and i think a few other spots
wtf does that "detaching" mean? can't pull cargo off the ship
it's not a ship component dammit, what's that "detaching" supposed to mean
It's a bug, if you let your cargo ship auto store then send a mining job to it the cargo can be stuck like this, it can also occur of your ship was auto stored another way like by a 30k.
The workaround is to always store your ship at the ASOP in the hangar and wait for the animation to finish before you leave in the elevator
Once this happens you probably can't sell it, but you can try to see if auto unloading will work (didn't for me)
and wait for the animation to finish before you leave in the elevator
My personal metric for this is when I see the ship's AR numberplate disappear
Is it safe to use a fleshly delivered/claimed ship or should you send it up/down?
Dunno, I haven't done any mining in 4.0.2 or 4.1.
The only cargo I've moved since 4.1 was stor*all boxes
some people claim the only reliable way is to use a freshly claimed ship. Personally I never had it fail just sending it up and down manually, and waiting until the ASOP says "stored" before leaving the hangar.
Cheers, I've got some stuff in refinery overnight so be good not to lose it lol.
where do you sell GEO minables after they are gathered?
So I’m a bit torn here guys. I have been enjoying my Conny Taurus, but also picked up an upgrade for it to the Starlancer MAX. But I haven’t pulled the trigger on actually upgrading it yet…
Pilot guns downgrade
Cargo space upgrade
Living space upgrade
No tractor beams
Better turret firepower
It depends on what you use the Connie for, I guess
what are the new hand minable and which hand minable pay the most?
I hae tried absolutely everything and cannot sell things that I mined with my GEO. any tips?
Go to a place that buys the commodity (check SC trade tools)
Take the box out of your Geo, carry it to the Item kiosk in your hangar
On the UI drag the box into your inventory
Click on the arrow to open the box
Drag the gems into your local inventory
Go to the Admin kiosk
Select the station/city as the inventory location
Sell your items.
Note you can also just transfer the gems to your backpack and then to your inventory.
You can also store multiple geo boxes inside a StoreAll box
Just remember you need to move the gems to your local inventory to be able to sell them and of course you must be at a location who buys them!
What's the best mining spot in pyro, and any change on what good ores are to grab?
Mostly for the cargo space, rather than for the firepower. And I do like the Starlancer’s living spaces.
So I'm guessing after the golem the next step up for me would be straight to a mole?
Sounds like there's not a lot of excitement for prospector with the golem out.
Depends if you like to take a shit/bedlog/eat/drink when you're in the black
Sounds like you want a Starlancer
YOu can buy one in-game, and if you find you do really like it then you can upgrade your Connie with CCUs
Fair enough, that's a selling point at least. If I was planning on mainly mining getting more than just the seat is a big deal 👍
Also the Prospector is supposed to be able to take Argo bags, bringing it to 48SCU
howdy, so i havent done a single bit of mining in probably years, and when i did i was just riding along on someones mole. now i have a golem. wheres the best place to mine at in stanton? also i heard gold is worth something and i dont need to look for quant?
Gold sucks balls. Look for Quantanium or Taranite in Stanton- but right now, eitherr stick to asteroids or shard hop for a good server- Cellin is one of the better surface mining
whats the best asteroid field to hit up you think?
CRU-L1 has always been good to me. The Halo is nice if you want to be left alone, but its more generic in minerals, finding good stuff can take soem looking
thank you
How can I ads to see the green zone when multitool mining?
my tractor beam doesnt want to detach the boxes from my taurus. both on foot and the turret one. any idea why
it looks like its switching between "detaching" and "no target" really fast
are the new minables worth mining? im seeing 115k for the glacosite?
glitched cargo, only way to fix it is claim the ship and hope the cargo wasn't too important
no way. fr? thats 200k gone.
Anyone have a upgrade guide no the taurus?
unfortunate.
Is it just one box or all of it?
all. and now my ship is stuck under the thing anyway. so gotta find a way to get to a dif station and claim it
i moved it around. no luck
yea
Did you call the ship from the ASOP lobby, or from the ASOP terminal in the hangar?
to be fair that's less than one full Vulture of RMC
BOTH
oops
In my experience, if you summon the ship from inside the hangar and it gets stuck in/under the ship elevator, you are normally able to store it from the hangar asop terminal again and then try again
The only time I've ever had the hangar ASOP fuck up on me was on patch day in A18, when we were getting like 15second interaction delays
If you can't get to your hangar in from the elevator because it doesn't exist, summon your ship from the ASOP lobby then immediately store it, then go down to the (now empty) hangar and summon it again.
This (should, under non-fubar circumstances) always make your ship come up the lift properly
Its fucking hilarious that we still have the exact same issue as last patch
It made people loose so much money in cargo for the last event yet it is still here
which issue ?
Cargo stuck to grid with rapidly flashing Detaching
oh i didnt get that oh its random to happen
Hey now, this is a small indie studio's first big game, cut them some slack, they can't be expected to resolve seemingly minor issues in such a short amount of time. 13 years is nothing when compared to the total life span of the universe...
I just want my $100 mining purchases to actually work. For the mining event... that they released publicly. As STABLE.
Like, it all worked fine on PTU, then they push it to live and it breaks? I don't understand this dev's cyclic fails.
every. single. time dude.
then they hotfix server stability when it's probably the most stable it's been since 3.18.
And then ignore the other issues entirely. Record breaking pledge income this year so far and they are showing the newcomers and returning players that nothing has changed.
Well anyway
To avoid the cargo stuck bug
Assuming you do not have cargo stuck to your ship, if you do claim a new one
Go into your hangar
Retrieve the ship while you are in hangar looking at it go up
Give it a moment
Store the ship still waiting looking at it go, you may only leave when the warning light band goes down and normal light shows up
Worth checking if the ships is stored and not to claim since that can also happen
Now after this i have not seen the Detaching bug appear in my many cargo runs
To be sure it's a good practice to repeat this each time
And there is nothing you can do about that cargo, might as well count it as voided instantly
neat
also
tbh we need interiour paints
the dying star paint should also graffity the inside
a poorly made port olisar mural, a crobert mural
could use indeed
and ironclad
especially ironclad
this was a freshly delivered ship, so apparently not safe
so is the cargo dead now? only thing I can go is blow up the ship altogether?
Weirdly enough, I was able to log out and back in immediately, summoned my ship, and the materials I had when I was mining was still there. Perhaps it works similarly for regular cargo?
Anyone having trouble movie conmat through orison? i just can't sell more than a handful of 16 scu boxes at a time
Normal when something is in low demand, presumably following the event people are back to their old loops
hiya, if i wanted to go out mining with the geo what would be the best ship to take it out in? Also are there any ships with space to load the geos boxes in properly like scu boxes would to a cargo grid?
What's the best mineable for a Roc?
Look up my text wall a bit up
As far as I know hadanite is still the most expensive.
This is if I'm not mistaken the best one
Regarding Mining in Pyro with a Golem, where is the best place to go? I've yet to find any good materials 🙃
yeah that seems like a prevention advice, and I will be following that, but once it is stuck already is there anything I can do about it?
but I see you mentioned to just claim one 😔
love it how neatly they attached the "24 hours of unavoidable waiting" game mechanic to the "send the cargo you waited 24 hours for down the drain, and we do know about this bug" game mechanic
almost feels like there's a "time wasted" KPI that they're actively working to maximize
How much gems in that worth
like how much is 1 SCU of gems
Just got myself a prospector what things do i need to buy for it now? :)
okay! also heard you can double the cargo or something?
yeah its a bit fiddly but i can be done, ur best to watch a video on YT
Any tips on unscannable rocks after the hotfix yesterday? I had 0 problems for the last week but now nothing scans properly, the locations appear and tells me what type of rock but they never go blue to find out what is in them.
i been scanning for around 20 min now in daymar and only found ore no gems is that normal?
now i cant find a single thing
Is there a difference for mining in pyro? is it better over there?
this is too many boxes...
has anyone got their redwind rep up in Pyro, does it unlock better hauling missions?
You need you a Atlas.
it's terrible it can't place a box anywhere and just smashes them against the walls of the ship, honestly apart from moving the box from A-B the maxlift is significantly better lol
I use it to move boxes around the hangar but beyond that it's just furniture.
I use it to shove most of the boxes into the ship & then use a hand tractor to actually spread em out.
it takes twice as long though because you have to do everything twice
and as soon as you pickup a box you can't see in front of you anymore lol
Man i dislike hauling missions since they avoid using 16SCU and 24SCU containers with missions that have 60SCU+ of cargo
yeah it's a pain that was 23x 16scu boxes for the 370scu
I have not been able to mine planetside since 4.1 but any L point locations work
Have not tried pyro
Are you certain daymar spawns surface deposits ? Hand minable gems Dolivine Hadanite and the third one are cave only and only minable with hand held tools
Also gem pings show up in less than 5km from you
Anything past 5km is a minable rock deposit
so whats the best thing i can farm with a roc?
The new gems are the best minable
I have no idea what the names are but some internet site has them for sure
I have found Feynalite or something like that on Fuego Pyro
I have not been able to mine any surface deposits in Stanton so I would suggest not even trying in stanton since servers are laggy af
did they change what is mineable and what is not?
someone told me some of the gems are no longer mineable by roc
Old gems are now CAVE ONLY
New gems are surface deposits
You can mine them
But just touching them with the ROC's laser will blow them up
new gems are how new like this patch new?
beacuse im trying to watch videos bc i have not played this game in over 2 years
4.1 new
They work the same way as pre 4.1 gems in every single way
Only the value and spawn location changed
From my short time spent in pyro yesterday I know that surface rocks accually work compared to stanton
Mind that it is server related and I just could have been lucky enough to find a good server by random chance of that
Right now im doing asteroid Mining on yela, is surface Mining better?
Rocks spawn in clusters
Much more SCU per cluster
The cluster rocks vary in size so it's easier to find low mass rocks for prospectors
It's not necessarily better just can sometimes be easier
Oh Yeah that Sound better, Most of the times i only find one asteroid
Asterosids also tend to be outside of a prospectors max limit or just like 3SCU insta extract rocks with trash mixes of ore
Gonna Look for a Chart to See where to go i guess
Do mind what I wrote a bit up tho
Im just gonna try it and see if it works
ive got the ATLS to work with the c2
Show me a video of you loading 16 or 32scu boxes into a C2 I need a good laugh
Ya know you can free look in the atls
And stand in a way so it wont block your vision with the box
defend it all you want it's still shit and I'll die on this hill
also rank progression on Pyro haulage is working now, I'm up to Jr
Only trying to help
I do also find the atls quite a shitty tool
If they gave it two modes to work as is and as a hand held tool would be glorious
HMMM
Can the GEO take a tractor tool ???
Since it can take a mining tool
You can manually attach stuff to it
My friend somehow gave it the VOLT rifle and killed me to test it
i havent ulocked 16 pr 32s yet ill share my expirence with them soon enough
hmm i should have called the c2 from the hangar
it ate it

seems its refusing to give me any ship now lol
Nom nom hungy hangar
@naive vine I believe 100 gems of any type equals 1 scu
lmao 163scu in 8 SCU boxes, joker mission
wait better, 300scu x8 - who's idea was this mission lol
nice tidy stacking
this one seems realistic so gonna give it a try
hopefully I can squeeze that in my Cutlass Black as that's what I'm flying at the moment lol.
Has CIG fixed the cargo grid locking bug for refinery orders? Or is it still borked?
100 gems equal 10cScu
You need 1.000 gems for 1scu
So that's 1000 gems per SCU?
Yes
Ah. So, in other words hand and vehicle mining is worthless. Got it
if it was profitable, they wouldn't be doing it using slave labour in prison 😏
its actually one of the most profitable loops right now if you can access the resources in hathor mines!
Some day I will take cave bounty missions, go there in my GEO, and try to defeat all the NPCs with the mining laser (which does inflict damage) then try to mine whatever I find as well.
Yes, but that requires getting into hathor. But just heading out and looking for minables doesn't look to be so profitable
best place to farm gems?
Im pretty pissed about this. Last night I spent hours mining glacosite with the geo. From like 11am to 11pm learning the whole loop. I was excited because I had filled 60 geo crates. That felt like nice honest work so I go sell and it didn't even make enough to cover my qt fuel and restock.
Like if they are gonna make us spend time like that at least make it profitable.
This was my first time mining ever and will be my last until it's worth it again.
Ooof, I would just transfer from the Geo to waiting SCU crates. Instead of stacks of the micro crates
Holy shit I had no clue you could do this
Get a 8scu crate
Take geo pod in hands
Drag into 8scu
Open geo pod
Drag gems
You don't even need another pod
I feel like I should have been rewarded for all that hardwork it felt bad to make the same amount of money as an hour of combat missions. Im not waisting my time with that again tho. Very tedious work that had me excited for a payout. If I grind 12 hours in any game I expect a payout lol
Also mine hadanite or something
Yeah man, I made it into hathor the other night. Just leave the goes backpack "open" you jump out, grab the gems into your backpack (or have someone else running back and forth) and dropped them into the waiting crates. (Great time to cook down when on Aberdeen)
You can literally leave the backpack hanging open and keep mining in pretty sure
I tried that but it was 30 minutes between finding them then I couldn't mine it after I found it because of the stupid bug. Right now it's only Pyro and hathor that have minable shit
Do fenymaline
Worthless
Sells for like 300 a scu
Gem mining is dead is what you guys are telling me. Even tho they just release 2 ships and an event for it lmao
Im not looking to make billions. I should have researched more before buying a Zeus and the geo with real cash haha
Feyn shows as 391K per SCU
But even then that's apparently with A THOUSAND gems
Guys im just super salty after droning for 12 hours yesterday thinking I was gonna make like 5 mill.
Tbf the Zeus is a wonderful ship (at least in my opinion)
"Feynmaline is worthless"
ignores 391k per scu
"Now that's gonna make me rich!"
mines one of the worst gems
hmm got 3 member contracts active
Do janalite
Fckin rare but dayum
15k per gem
1 geo pod is 150k
Most of time you can fill 1-3 pods
300k to 450k
You can only find Janalite in caves
And pretty sure its only found in those sand caves on Daymar.
As far as I know yes
Where can you find caves on daymar?
I had a fucking stack of 20 ready for the 4.1 release and they ALL FKN went POOF
At some point resources like these will be more geared for crafting purposes and not necessarily a career. They will also hopefully introduce mining missions vs doing it solely to sell them to shops.
Hit up Youtube for guides. They're not marked, so it requires a touch of exploration.
Zeus is a great investment
Hm
Why not sell
I had them waiting for the collector missions
Ignores the 30 hours it would take to gem mine 1000 gems let alone finding the. Do you even gem mine?
ik for a fact theres one next to kudre ore but dunno about jalanite spawn chances there, some of the ones on daymar are just random holes in the ground too in craters
i should specify the open kudre not kudre ore (closed)
I just posted a map of kudre ore (closed)
Okay guys what's the current money making meta? I need a Carrack in game again and with the new price and wipe it hurts
yeah theres the kudre without the closed tag and one with it eiter way both should have big open caves right next to em within 500m
Currently there's nothing that feels good to make money...
Salvage
yeah salvage is usually pretty good, dont think they tweaked the prices for rmc again so depending where you go should sell for about 14-15k per scu
vulture if you really sqeeze the boxes in can do about 12 on grid and 12 off grid if you hold a box above the ejector
Also, why do you "need" a Carrack?
hello there
lol
Is that it? Fucking hell. I've played fast/ combat stuff for the last 5 years. I just want to do something industrial for a change but it doesn't seem there's an incentive yet. Dude I sold my vulture within days of it coming out. Salvaging is the most boring loop I've ever tried. For such a huge scale game there's very little to do other then killing.
Combat and Cargo are better at making income.
I want the carrack back because it's my teams mobile base of ops and allows us to set up in areas and whatnot. It would be nice now to park near hathor and run back and forth for pvp. We have used the carrack every patch for at least 5-6 now.
That's what I just said.
I want there to be a reason to do industry stuff. I really enjoyed mining yesterday but not enough to do it for free.
Mining is very profitable... if you can secure a Hathor mine.
Your just a cunt arnt you?
But you can make reasonably good income mining for taranite/quant etc using a golem or prospector.
Yeah but can you make more in the same time doing combat? This is my fucking issue. Making something out of nothing should be reward heavier then shooting.
I was trying to help you with actual income generating options, but it sounds like you're just here to complain, so good day.
If I run erts and you mine with a prospector for 12 hours, ill make more money then you with half the effort. Why does this make sense. Im not complaining im asking questions on why this makes sense. In t years I've never touch mining. My first go at it and it waisted my day. Why does combat pay more?
Let's try not to randomly call people names just because they are engaging in conversation with you please
That depends on combat skill. Sounds like you're decent enough, but there are a lot of folks that are not any good at combat (or lack ships for that).
In my experience, hauling is actually the most consistent way to generate income without combat doing the hauling missions.
The reason mining isn't as valuable as other options is because of incomplete game loops where mining missions aren't implemented and crafting isn't implemented.
Once you have to start gathering mining materials for base building, crafting components, building the best weapons and armor, mining will be one of those staple professions everyone either does or pays others to do for them.
Did they give us back the large ship like the c2 again?
I stopped due to them lowering the sizes for all contracts
dunno i dont do the actual missions i just go around scraping panels or abandoned ships
If they didn't tweak the prices for RMC/CM after Supply or Die, then ripping hammerheads and starfarers for CM with a reclaimer should be super fast income.
I haven't seen a HH or C2 in so long
I did 4.0 unverified "risky" salvage and was getting Hammerheads / Starfarers (no hercs) in Yela that paid 10k to complete the mission.
It was like 270k per full 240scu haul.
This was during the SoD event
I appreciate the response. Over the years I've always heard how much you can make mining so I spend over 200$ to get into the gameplay and am crushed by bugs, bad research and frustration. I thought it was going to be 85k a geo box not a full scu. Sorry I name called . It's just a matter of situation and wait for these loops to be playable for me. Cargo hauling is alright but I really like the idea of going to create shit. In eve I can mine for huge profits but that's also selling to players. I love combat and I guess im pretty good at it but id like to generate things instead of just only blowing them up.
The Wikelo mission giver is the new example of where mining will get you the ability to "build stuff". Unfortunately it has a pretty high barrier for entry, but one of the missions is delivering 24SCU of Quant which gets you Polaris Parts and you need x50 of those as part of the checklist to complete a Polaris - which you could sell to players maybe? Its just a lot of overhead without the underlying systems CIG needs to implement.
So yall how does the Golem stack up against other ships like the Prospector? In terms of how much ore it can hold.
Guess that's step 1 / 100
I would also say that the Carrack is a bit unnecessary as a 750k Medical Ursa provides all the same regeneration capabilities that the 34mil Carrack offers.
There's not a ton of steps if you look at the mission, and there are other ways besides mining to get quant.
But the main problem is generating Wikelo favor, which requires locking down a hathor mining area for a whole day with a good sized org of people pillaging the resources and allowing a single person to turn them in for favor.
Carrack is a explorer ship. Not a vehicle
Granted the Carraxk isn't good either.
That was more in regards to ATree's goal of getting money for a carrack to use as a base of operations for Hathor mining regeneration
I wouldn't bother with a Carrack since you can just use an Ursa parked inside a corsair, or better yet, parked in an armistice area where you can retrieve a pisces or 100 series to easily return to the Hathor mining area.
Yeah you really don't need a Carrack just for that.
Harder to hide if anything.
thats a lot 2273 scu
That's a Hull C mission, or you'd have to take multiple loads in a C2 or something.
Most people dont do those without a Hull C.
yea, the one above says 502
When you get to Member rank there's a 700k mission which is for a full Hull C.
can anyone tell me,for the lord, how can i change the GOLEM modules by hand? its just stucked
i passed member rank
True enough, you should see those missions. There's 2 of them I think
They actually do work too, most of the time, for 30-40 mins of effort you can make 600-700k with a Hull C.
And you dont even have to leave the ship.
if i had the Hull C xd, well ill have the ironclad when its out
theres the 700k you were talking about
Yup, and there's usually one from EH to somewhere, but in my experience loading cargo at EH fails the most.
they say hull c is bugged tho?
most of the time hull c docking is screwed but if you're lucky docking + autounload works
Do FLTR-XL modules stack?
how many gems are roc minable rn?
Here's the rub. Hull C missions can fail to load the entire cargo when you park in the box. That's OK, as long as it loaded more than 50% of the cargo, you can go deliver it and submit the mission for like 90% of the payout and 90% of the Rep.
ill stick with the c2 till ironclad i think unless i get it ingame
Yeah, absolutely an in-game purchase. Would not recommend Hull C pledge until its worked out. I think the Hull C is actually cheaper or the same price range as the C2 in game also.
all modules stack
it is also multipicative stacking not additive
ironclad will be XL pad?
Not to mention the ironclad is only 1500 SCU and loaded manually, so the Hull C will still be easier to haul with once that launches.
Lalt+k keybind to Unlock ports or F+RMB radial menu option, both do the same
get the module on the ground
move it into the green zone around the head and release tractor
then go back and again Lalt+k or the other to lock ports
i have personally not tried to do this on any mining ship so it might be wrong
i would imagine it would get the same treatment as polaris/890j where it's all XL for hangars and docking arms
i cant fathom them making a xxl hangar just for one ship
then they could use the xxl for other big ships tho
yeah ig
but imo no point
would be nice to finally see large landing pads on stations like old port olisar
but then we would need some way to avoid greifing etc
The Ironclad probably gets a Large hangar. Its smaller than a Carrack (which only gets a large hangar despite having to go in at an angle due to the turret guns on the side).
Carrack dimensions:
126.5m long / 76.5m wide / 30m high
Ironclad:
120m long / 52m wide / 20m high
TBH, large hangar ships are a lot more usable than XL hangars. This would play into the Ironclad's favor when taking it to stations for loading cargo. You don't want a hauler that can't haul at most of the stations because they don't have XL Hangar support and it won't have auto-load cargo loading like the Hull C therefore it needs to be in a Large or smaller hangar to be able to support the hauling mission options.
do I need to wait certain time before retrieving the ship I just loaded a refinery collection onto?
I feel like I've just started asking random questions about each and every action in the game, because every single thing apparently has these weird rituals that you need to do unless you trigger a random stupid bug known and unfixed for years
do I need to turn around three times before opening ASOP?
just as i have explained before
ya need to be in the hangar to do it
I'm in the hangar
I retrieved and stored the ship
I collected the work order onto the ship
now I'm worried about retrieving it again in a wrong way or something
nah just do it
if the cargo does not show up store and retrieve should be there
if no [*]
everything seems to be there, and is detachable 😌 I'm actually surprised
I fully expect the cargo to randomly disappear on the way to selling it
i feel ya man
these better to load vertically ?
dont think there is a difference
Powerwashing simulator>salvaging
anyone had problems with the hauling missions cargo not showing up in your inventory where you are supposed to pick it up
nice wall of gems
what is this supposed to mean?
I'm selling stuff that I do have on my ship, what's that stock that's supposedly insufficient?
Stock is FULL
why would it be in the "in demand" section then
selling beryl at HUR-L1
a refinery buys refined material
nothing wrong on your side
i always was thinking this is not possible
UEX lists it as top price
well not planetside selling is often met with a full stock since stations dont have much capacity
good to know 👍
while you can lose like 5 to 10 % of the price selling at TDD's is much more convinient
"insufficient stock" is a mind-boggling message to display in that situation though
yeah it is dum as hell
but they will not bother to change or add a fucking 2 word line of text
and the "local market" tab lists it as "out of stock"; I would read this as "we're empty and would love to buy some", not as "we re out of negative stock" apparently
whats more worth C1 or Zeus cl for ingame money
as in to buy for in game money or to make money ?
buy with ingame money to use
this site has this info along with a bunch more
https://www.erkul.games/live/calculator
and i can tell you in a moment
this one good for the size
C1 is 3mil
Zeus is 6mil
i wanna get a C2 eventually but i want a mid point for carrying refined ore from my golem
you can rent a RAFT
it also costs 3mil
it is such a easy to load and i like its looks
i might go do that the raft does look nice
the raft has two imo really minor downsides
- No space for a ATLS but the atls is useless for how easy it is to move cargo on the raft
- its flight is a bit cloky, you feel the brick shape of it but imo its not bad since flying is the least amount of time when doing cargo and its not bad just specific
oh i did not know discord does punctation
hmm 32SU boxes are sure a bitch to load

he is doing exactly that and is not fine
32 SCU boxes are a little bit hard on the second "floor" of the cargo

Because there are struts or things on the ceilling that make them hard to stack
but on the RAft they should go as easy as it gets, it is basically the gimmick of the Raft
currently in it now shifting 32scu crates about
lol yeah, not the biggest fan for the simple reason i like my ships to match and black or very dark colours can be used on my current ships
makes sense
im surprised they don't just monetize lettings us at least pick basic colours for our ships
we could also just get them for in game money?
yeap id be happy with that
for some ships like the 300i series on pledge you can pay to get some diff colours by customizing them
loaded
whats the work around for the refined ore cargo getting stuck im about to go complete an order
there are a few skins you can buy in game. Just not for very many ships.
hold on
To avoid the cargo stuck bug
Assuming you do not have cargo stuck to your ship, if you do claim a new one
Go into your hangar
Retrieve the ship while you are in hangar looking at it go up
Give it a moment
Store the ship still waiting looking at it go, you may only leave when the warning light band goes down and normal light shows up
Worth checking if the ships is stored and not to claim since that can also happen
Now after this i have not seen the Detaching bug appear in my many cargo runs
To be sure it's a good practice to repeat this each time
And there is nothing you can do about that cargo, might as well count it as voided instantly
thanks it worked
nice one
have you engulfed yourself into a box yet tho?
i rmb dropped one from above the atls and it ate me
i havent
gotta ad it to the funky stuf bucket list heh
back to area 18 cargo was at everous
oh its here
is space mining broken?
I not only got stuck in boxes twice, but actually managed to escape both times
I got stuck in an 8scu box once it was lolz
Space mining should work, surface mining is broken
hey guys Roc vs Geo
Roc is more configurable but Geo can also do hand mining and big jumps!
The boxes are quite small so you have to change or empty them often, it's actually quicker to empty into a large backpack then into an SCU crate then to use multiple boxes I've found.
is that a new thing? once I complete an unverified salvage contract, the trespassing alert disappears?
Question-- I relogged while doing hauling contracts and lost the contracts, but still have the boxes. Can I sell the boxes somewhere for money?
i havent set foot in pyro. whats the best spot to mine with a golem? also where should i be refining and selling?
Does surface rocks ( golem/mole/prospector size ) work or theres something broken?
I am not new to the game, but I am new to mining. I have a question for everyone. When you refine and you get like 834 cscu of a material, does it round up or down? Meaning do I get 8 SCU of the material or 9 SCU of the material?
Up IIRC
Does the reclaimer have 2 salvage seats? for 2 people to do it?
thinking of getting it for me an my buddy but if theres only 1 seat to salvage then nah
yeah it has 2 scraping beam seats for scraping rmc then pilot and co pilot controls the fracturing arm
i must say i prefer putting the 32su boxes than those 16su ones
whats the diff between scraping beam and fracturing arms?
i have the vulture now but im thinking of buying it for me and my buddy to use
im guessing the heads on it are pretty good and dont need to be swapped for anything?
Nope
Drop both cinch heads
Buy another abrade
really? so the reclaimer doesnt salvage any faster than a vulture solo?
A Reclaimer head salvages a little faster- but Solo the vulture has two heads so wins
The space and not having to move single SCU boxes
I love living in a Reclaimer. If I could shove a golem in there somehow, I'd never land
Buut- if I'm not trying to crack big ships and I just want something quick, I gotta lean Vulture
im just debaiting trying to learn mining or getting the reclaimer yea
cant decide
i thought the reclaimer would salvage quicker with premium heads or some crap lol
i rented a mole/prospector but i could only break crappy rocks nothing of size worth money max load was like 100k so didnt feel worth, but im curious about investing into the Mole solo or maybe the prospector if it break larger rocks to upgraded
ill have a duo occationally why i say the mole maybe
Try prospector first to get the hang of it and see if you like it
i liked renting the mole cause the cargo size, just was frustrating not being able to buy the right upgrades to break the rocks with high selling ore, had to settle for the cheap stuff lol
does the atls geo mineables work now?
ive tested it twice today, not for me
but i also havent tested in pyro people say it works there more often
Any reliable place to sell Beradom yet?
I went to the places listed and it never shows up in the selling list.
To some of* the places
Mainly around MT.
I can confirm it works in Seraphim
Did you make sure that there was a demand? they may have been sold out
It wasn't even listed on the sell window pane.
As I understood if there was no demand it would at least be listed but you wouldn't be able to sell any units.
2 seats for scrappers
1 for pilot
1 for claw
in this video they have a stampede module at the bottom, but seems theres a weird placeholder thingy where mine is? i have a module purchased
askin again: i havent set foot in pyro. whats the best spot to mine with a golem? also where should i be refining and selling?
is there a trick to get commodities to show up that are on ships (and thus sell them with an auto-unload cut) - my fully loaded cat is showing up with it's stuff in the hangar, but the comoditiy term shows 0/576
no way! 28k!
In thumbnail this almost looks like a Wing Commander screenshot.
Hey yall where do I pick up my refinery orders?
I placed a couple Monday or tuesday night
Go back to the refinery, send them to a cargo ship
can we just put them in our invintory to move later?
nope
Also... what size boxes are they going to be in...
it's going to "make them fit"
I need to put them in a ship...
The biggest possible that will fit your ship
I am going to need to unload my C1...
thanks ill take it lol
what are you suppose to do if you dfont have a ship lol
I don't think they plan the feature that way, but you can prolyl rent something
Rent one. Or sell the ore for half price without refining
Can the Argo Mole be used solo or should I rent the prospector?
I bought the Golem game package yesterday morning and while its very useful as a starter for getting some credits early, it lacks power for for some asteroid being marked as impossible. Found several with quantanium.
Prospector it is
refineries are at Stanton Gateway, Ruin, Checkmate, Orbituary
Sell as you like, use UEX to find where you can sell, try to avoid ground stations.
Terminus belt is one of the places you can mine
Yeah, you can solo the mole. It's a little tedious, and there's a learning curve to positioning the ship right, but it's doable. Much more powerful with a extra person or two though. And it's perhaps the best "multi crew" gameplay that exists right now.
how do i sell refined ores? They are stuck in my cargo hold. TCC wont see them and I cant tractor them out.
this whole manual unloading is a drag lol
You cant sell RMC from your vulture even though the ship comes up as a possible point of sale in the Commodities menu?
Dont worry just use the ATLS. If it works right for once.
The ship selection is broken, usually you need to pick the ship listed above the one you are targeting to see the inventory. Also, all the cargo has to be stacked on the grid to be auto-unload eligible.
Sometimes the ship name will be your name
Hey yall,
So in my drake golem it says a asteroid is impossible to break
can I still break it if i use a -50 resistance modifier tool?
Thats what the C1s tractor beam is for
awesome, 80k worth of argo bags gone, sweet
why is this stopping this Vehicle
Just get the vulture, it's best bang for the in game buck on paying for itself. Conmat is worth fuck all and you need to scrape a lot of ships to pay for the reclaimer.
i have around 5 mil now from roc mining what do you guys recommend i do next i want what makes the best money solo
yesterday i did 10 hours hauling
I came here to say i cant make money with the golem
at start?
In what way
Hauling ships for trade or mole or prospector for mining
Or a combat one for bounties
whats the best ship i can buy or rent rn with the money i have for hauling
I love the RAFT for its ease of use, 96 SCU cargo
Rental for if I'm correct 100k/day
Buy for 3.5mil
A Taurus I think is around 6mil not sure, 170SCU ish
Larger ships are 9mil or more
what do you think i should buy or rent
Any constellation series is ok the other variants than the Taurus have 96scu
A C1 while a bit eh to load cargo into is cheap and has 96SCU
For simpler hauling tasks I recommend the RAFT, for more volume of goods larger ships would be better
I would also recommend renting first to see how you feel with it
And this goes for any purchases in game
70k actually
raft is one of the best ships to rent early game for hauling
with the hull a for smaller contracts
alr ty
is it worth renting when i have 5mil already?
probably ye
or should i rent a taurus?
Always better to rent just to see if ya like it
raft for hauling
Try both imo
can you rent the hull c?
i dont care how it controls or how it looks i just want the most money lol
RAFT is cheaper and easier to use for cargo imo
Taurus has more space for cargo but not as easy to load
where can i rent or buy raft
made this much progress on the rank now
raft is in lorville
when you go to lobby from hangar, the renting terminal should be right infront of ya
Also you can buy it al lorville
hmm this one
That's just 5 contracts stacked into one
Would it not make more money taking 5 smaller ones ?
2 locations tho and same stuff isnt that better
Oh I can't read
this the best way to load it?
The only time I was loading a C2 I was loading in centurions so no idea
for the 32 ones back horizontal and center vertically
i prefter the bigger crates over those 16 su
I agree that it's more annoying with the golem. It may be a starter ship that holds 32 SCU but the mining laser on it prevents you from getting anything of real value as a great many asteroids are marked as impossible. I do like it's handling and lack of an interior tho I do wish it were either a bit stronger or had more quantum fuel.
What’s a normal sell value of a mining trip with the other mining ships cus I have only had experience in the golem
Obviously it depends on what you mine but more of just a estimate cus it is annoying when you find impossible asteroids
Since space mining is the only one working rn its is really hard for the golem to make it
With a mole where I dont min max best ore i usually end up with around 200k to 300k a haul
One haul is usually 30min or 45min if I'm unlucky
On the odd chance of a good deposit I can make around 800k on rare ores
Never found a large quant rock but that can make you 2mil for a haul
The most I've made in one haul with the Golem is 68k which isn't bad for working your way up to rent a big ship but I get less than 50k usually.
Can you run the Mole solo or are you teaming up with people and splitting it?
Solo since 4.0
Mining with two in a mole is 1/2 the profit and not much faster
I will always say that mining in two solo moles is MUCH more efficient than one mole with two
With the prospector it's honestly the same. The difference being time spent as the Prospector has significantly more fuel and is faster
Before I mined as two in one but we also just pooled the money for ships
One time I buy the other my friend
50k isn't bad for 32 scu of ore
When planetside mining is back to working finding a good ish deposit is basically one scan after arriving on the planet
So that makes it much faster and easier
That's good to know honestly. I'll be renting one tomorrow for sure.
Maybe I'll make a friend along the way to rent one of them cargo ships.
Yeah I have made 150k refined on the golem in one run but the golem definitely fits in its starter spot for mining
A solo mole for rent has not been good to me but mainly cuz of other problems than the mole itself
It also does not have that much power at the start, a golem has more than it but the golem also has the +25% resistance
My biggest issue thus far has been getting overzealous with landing 😂
Yeah from what little info i find of people here playing with the golem it is really nicely fitted for a starter and makes you use all the bits of additional stuff for mining
A lil SLAM on the deck?
Just lightly hit the pad a full speed
Also with the golem I keep getting the torque imbalance or whatever it’s called without hitting anything
Haha
It is literally the permanent state of any miner
Basically when a rock brakes even when no red zone is charged
It does a tiny explosion in a certain radius
It does like 5dmg and if ANY thrusters are within range they get hit for like 1hp
Now they count as damaged and we have no minor torque imbalance so you get the big red alert
Also when you say planet mining is messed up what is actually happening cus I have not tried planet mining
If you overcharge a rock the AOE of the explosion can be even 500m of a shit ton of dmg and easily one shot you in close distance to the rock
When you ping rocks show up
But you can not scan them or mine them
They are not physical
Its is due to servers having insane ping on their side
So severs slowly talk to each other
You dont feel it with most of the game
It mainly affects mining and inventory interactions
So when planet mining gets fixed what would be better for mining between two planet and asteroids
Hey guys....I am heavily investing my time into the cargo business and am pushing my covalex rep. My meta was to use the ATLS and a C2 for the main part. But the C2 is really not appealing to me. So I went for the Argo Raft which is in an odd space imho. Can anybody explain to me how the Raft is going to compete against other cargo ships without any tractor, a way to store an ATLS and a non functional support console. How is the latter going to work anyway?
Is there a list of scanning codes like ICE had?
RS signatures you mean ? There's one in the pins yeah, and it's also available on regolith.rocks
I like the simplicity of the Golem and using a Stampede and a Reiger with it in the Yela asteroids. One trip easy 45 minutes from CRU L1. Just wish the ore bags were bigger. On one trip I brought back 3 SCU of Quant but that was rare.
Can you detach the ore bags on the golem
yess
still no luck surface mining, was really hoping the hotfix would help 😦
yeah I got some hadanite in a cave but none of these have worked for me yet - tried the Roc too just in case
Hathor caves seem to have a priority to work perfectly for some reason
whats the best vulture build for the arms?
what ship is that in the background
zoos
what the actual name
Hey all, when I get back from mining with my prospector, and I send the ship down to store with all my ore in it. Does that store my ores into the station? Or do I HAVE to start a refinery job right then and there to clear the ships inventory? If so, is there any other way to store ores from the ship?
