rep loss for failures

master -640000
sheeesh
yeah sucks bad
will try to not fail lmao
😆
Well, just gonna continue grinding then
yeah i'm doing the same just hauling shit
gonna upgrade from my cutty black to a connie andromeda soon hopefully
im renting a taurus rn
idk what i wanna buy though yet
not like i have much money
250k
tractor beam on the taurus is very useful
good rental for hauling definitely
i'm gonna go for an andromeda because i'm doing the pyro missions so i could do with the upgrade
take a look at the pyro missions you can get like 123k per one when you start - and stack them
does pyro pay more?
significantly more
but i assume pyro comes with a bigger risk
much bigger risk - very dangerous
also maybe hauling illegal stuff
i haven't done much of that
i just do the stanton gateway to pyro outpost missions for 250k each run
two 123k stacked
the ones ive had are 60-80
dayum thats a distance
there's a few stations in between but if you're not careful you can end up in a desolate space with no refuel pads lmao
5 minutes of waiting for a much bigger payday 🤷♂️ worth it imo
i can't bring myself to do stanton hauling after making that money once
true
outpost missions are buggy though rn no?
atleast the ones ive done... have to server hop constantly
i've had no issues so far in pyro- but i always ask in chat when i join if they're broken
and then do this if anyone says yes
i see
Was testing commodity trading between Staton and Pyro. My Carrack turned purple in a hanger in Pyro, and disappeared with a full cargo of Nitrogen
Can someone tell me how to use an active mining module?
I can't figure out how to use my stampede module
As in turning it on? Check keybinds but it might be RMB or L Alt + 1/2/3
Options > Keybindings > Advanced Controls Customization (ACC) > Mining Mode > Module Activation.
i can do 8 small hauling quests in the same time as 1 medium, sad the mediums dont give more money to make it worth doing them
@flint forge
so still not worth it doing the medium hauling jobs if you can do member small ones
doing a member small cargo haul for 81k and being able to take a bunch of other for extra money or doing a medium cargo haul for 91k and have no room to take anything else, still means its worth more money (and rep) to do the small ones, and just hit a couple of stations in a row
Is there a quick way to judge if a rock can/can't be mineable by your ship? Certain mass or resistance?
Pyro hangars are cursed
looking for a load out for my roommate and i to use in a MOLE any suggestions?
well that depends on if you want money or rep doesn't it - preference i suppose
not really
if i move 8 SCU for a member rank mission for 60k
or move 92 SCU for a member rank mission for 50k
the rep is both the same as they are both member rank missions
yet i could accept more smaller member rank missions or fill up with lower rank missions to get a bigger payout on the same route
thus the bigger member rank mission becomes absolute, since the pay out and the rep is the same as the small one, but the small one can be stacked
so rep and money would both be higher by stacking small ones on the same route then just moving 1 medium one
so if i look at it from a logical way, for higher SCU volumes you need a bigger ship, thus higher costs, so those should pay more
what is the best salvage head ?
must resist your mom jokes....
i dont know i only move stuff
Vulture - Abrade, Fortune - Abrade and Reclaimer - Trawler
thank you very much
Is anyone able to help me get my rep back up? I submitted multiple orders due to delivery buggs, not realising what it'd do to my reputation. I can't access ANY cargo hauling contracts now so some help would be appreciated
I never see multiple small member ranked missions for direct routes. It’s always “make 3 pickups for 3 drop offs” or “make 4 pickups to one drop off”
What kind of sizes of rock can i expect to break with a fully upgraded prospector? Im currently contemplating to either get a prospector now or solo mine a mole later. Currently using a renral mole and its quite shit
I found charts that explain mods and sizes/resistance so i got my question answered. Here are what i found.
anyone wanne help me level haulin? got yeeted back from exp to member 😄
covalex stanton that is
is there a chart that shows how mutch missions I need to do in each rank of cargo contract?
I haven't seen one but it's roughly twice the amount of the previous rank and the rep doubles per rank so if you do lower rank missions they're less effective with the exception of when it's quicker to stack multiple lower rank missions and complete them faster than a single of the desired rep.
An example I'm stacking 3x Experienced Rank missions that give 2000xp each, I can do these faster than a single Senior Rank mission that gives 4000xp.
Jnr is 500xp, Member is 1000xp, Experienced is 2000xp, Senior 4000xp, Master is 8000xp
thx man!!!
i talked about this yesterday as well, that small hauling contracts make the medium ones useless, since you haul more for the same pay and rep but cant stack them
Yeah the senior ones are all around 400scu x16 and drop at 3 or 4 locations, they can easily take an hour to do whereas I can stack up 3 or 4 experienced rank locals or small solar and do them faster
but im with a taurus, i just got in member rank. i don't think i can stack more Junior or rookie rank than member
^
for member and experienced you have plenty of choice so never a need to take lower rank tbh, unless there's a pickup going some place you're going anyway then it's free money
if you can take a small member rank mission, you can take like 3 rookies on the way back, you'll earn more for the same flight
I'm doing this little loop in a Hull A now (QT time is my discord time LOL)
i currently do a group around the same 4 stations, i just fly around picking up and droppping off, it goes fast and even takes less time loading
im doing the "Magnus gateway -> everus contract than backspace"
i check where the stations are and then plan around that
then take a local group and take all job related to that
great my refuel didn't count, hopefully the next one does lol. I might have to start doing these in my ES instead so I have the full round trip without needing fuel
I try to mix up my loops so they don't get stale
all the jobs from all MIC stations that are close, and as long as theres 1 from the Member rank its worth more then doing 1 medium Member rank
I was stacking a couple of the 100scu mediums in my Starlancer but it was a lot of boxes to move
I prefer the smaller ones as it hurts my hands less, the 400scu ones in my Caterpiller I can only do one of those before my hands hurt
i move around 30 to 90SCU and do around 8 to 12 jobs in a single loop
I just wanna get out of member rank... i dont have any medium ships like a C2, i only have the connie and the hull C
i fly a Zeus CL
Member clears pretty fast tbh it's only about 20 missions IIRC
i'm just slow, since i only do 1 or 2 flights a day
take your time and enjoy it's not a race tbh
I managed to get 3/4 through senior before the wipe it was a shame to lose that as was 100hrs or more lol
I got here pretty quick but motivation to do the next bit is lacking
I'm not even sure the master missions will be worth it given how bland the senior ones are but I hold out hope. I still don't know if anyone who has reached the Master rank
Heyo, did the Starlancer get a price on the PTU?
I think I'm going to get screwed by the QT fuel bug I wonder if I should unload and claim a differen't ship
when you store it after you fill it it resets right for me
Yeah but the Hull A is bugged if you store it open
so I'm kinda stuck, I guess I could unload it and then close it up
I'm just going to claim my zoos I think, it's a shame they nerfed the QT fuel in the Hull A it used to be able to do a full loop of Stanton easy
Good Afternoon - are there any haulers who would like to discuss the current issues faced with the MISC HULL-C not being able to Identify some Hulls on Delivery?
(writing a news story on MISC sabotage)
What is there to discuss but the pain and suffering of my Hull C still not working
after everything i read i stayed clear of the hull series
so i rented a C1 upgraded to a zeus CL and looking in to buying a C2
18m in still a steep price and a bunch of work tho
Hull a is a pain to load though. Anything with a ramp feels easier to me
Maybe hull just needs more capacity to be competitive
Freelancer, corsair, Connie offer more utility
C1 can move the same, tho more protected
and off grid you can move a bit more in the C1
im more of a fan of external loading, i am way faster with it and can organize it better per panel for multi location deliveries
I like the RAFT for moving commodities
But it's not fun loading up with crate size mishmash that hauling contracts offer
hull a is cheap compared to all other ships with the same SCU storage, thats how its competing
also love the raft, but idd only nice when the box size is 8 or up
Y'all know you can out 4scu or smaller into 8scu stor*all boxes
did not know that
Put a storage container at the back of the ROC.
If you're fast enough, you can open both the container and ROC's inventory at the same time and transfer the gems.
Else, you can transfer the gems from the ROC into your backpack and into the container.
After that you can send the storage container down the freight elevator and unload the gems in your inventory to sell.
Lame
so when it comes to sc trade tools is it wrong sometimes on what is sold somewhere?
might be filled up at your selling location
yeah it said pressurized ice at stanton gateway and I cant buy it nor does it show in the inventory at all
in the commodities computer you should still see it even if its sold out
Yeah it's just not there
I will swap servers, but first making breakfast for the misses
ice is sold at port tressler as far as i can find
ah that explains it i exclude pyro
well i guess the game has removed it from there then
uexcorp says it's not there
SC trade tools has a support at the top of their website and i think a discord as well
What’s the payout look like on high level cargo missions?
member missions are 90k to 120k
idk if this a high or a low one but it shows 121k there and 2 for 93k so i take it they are about the same
idk about senior or master
Yeah the only difference I think is the one with more cargo pays a bit more. There's a couple more missions that could stack but it's the same commodity so takes a bit more attention to ensure you don't get them mixed up!
Senior missions all pay around 290-330k but they are all but a couple medium hauls around 300-400scu with 3 or 4 drops. They take such a long time tbh. Master are exactly the same but I've not seen their pay in 4.x
There's no small jobs after you reach Senior, there's only couple of local jobs, most are solar
@flint forge for experienced rank there's also multi drop local missions to DCs, I think these pay about 160k, they are the best ones to do, they can be stacked too
hope that gives you your answer
Any Prospector miners know of any bug related to cargo/materials? Sent all my materials collected to the refinery, but when I call my ship again to go back out, it tells me my cargo is still full but it also shows 0/0. Didnt change any bags/components
yeah, it's a bug. In my experience it SEEMS to mostly happen when the ship is stored to start the refinery job. Try landing on a pad and starting the job from there.
if I store cargo in my inventory will it persist in the 4.0.2 patch?
It won't
probably not. But I swear that a crate full of hadenite that I was sure I had lost was transported to my home location when 4.0.1 went live though. It was in a ship that was auto stored in Pyro when I logged off, and then I was never able to get back to it due to elevator issues. A couple weeks later I was selling stuff at A18 after the patch and there it was.
have they fixed the prospector having the mole bags i folowed the way to do it and save it 3 times and when i claim my ship boom Misc bags are back
Would anyone know what power plant i should buy for dps on a taurus?
But power plants don't affect DPS
8 jobs.
almost full taurus cargo.
4 pit stops.
About to provide resources for an entire galaxy.
which statons loading docks? for hull c
All 4 LEOs and 3 Jump Point Stations. Not sure about Pyro
just found out that all of pyro stations have loading docks
was having a good run with the hull c and Actually doing cargo contracts but then 30k and glitched everything
Where can I sell 4,608 scu of SCRAP with a Hull C without problems selling it without problems of being told that it is full and I cannot sell it?
I have been told that i should not do mining runs while the next patch is being inplemented i it true that my refinery orders disappear and when is this patch supposed to be implemented so i can start up again?
anybody that can tell me wich contracts get added on senior covalex contracts?
Senior and Master ranks add mostly a selection of Medium Solar multi drop hauls, they go to 3 or 4 locations and are 16scu containers 300-400scu (I run them in my Cat) Senior pay in the range of 280-330k - it's still faster to make credits with the Local Experienced hauls but they offer a bit of variety I guess. I don't have the Master prices for 4.0 they used to pay 110k ish but I'm not sure what formula they used for the new 4.0 prices and it's a bit of a grind to get thru senior!
so nothing better then expirienced hull c contracts?
There is one for Senior Rank, 711k so not really much difference. I don't know if there are any Hull C contracts for Master yet, this is the old data from 3.2x: (from reddit)
these are experienced contracts
yeah so 698 to 711 isn't much of an increase for the rank!
It's weird how they work out the prices it's like just random numbers sometimes.
there's also one random large contract on Senior that pays 200k so makes no sense at all
Here's the examples of the missions, the value of the commodity might be factored into the mission reward:
'waste' might be why it pays badly?
can idk, these are only contracts that ar doable with hull c so
for some strange reason contracts seems more stable, but sometimes it doesnt load all so you mis 1-3 boxes at the dropoff
yeah Hull C loading depends a lot on server health
yeah i'm thinking about getting a C2
i read from some people that more then 1 contract doesnt work nice with the hull C as well
i wouldnt if we are talking pledge
i'm talking 19m ingame
oh ok go for it
you want to make some mil donations 😛 ?
start moving boxes
anyways i use hauling contracts to get my balance up then i do trading
no but if you have a a to b and b to a you can retrieve cargo/drop cargo/take contract/retrieve cargo/trandporst/drop
trading seems less profit to me
there are ways but the risk is way harder
i'm flying a zeus CL, for me moving diamonds would be the most profit and thats 125k a flight
zeus can go upto 1.5m/run but i dont think uex nows it 😄
i use the SC trade tool
wel once ur hull c is bugged you need to reclaim it it seems. and then take a new contract. If everything went smooth it can be the goat of riskfree moneymakin. but yeah . Still figuring stuff out to avoid issues 😄
you dont need rep for tradin. can be more profitable. but the risk of losing a cargo is high. And most of the time you need to do 5 runs orso to make it back. Wich is a pain.
Way too much risk from bugs unless you can afford the loss
where to sell rmc at orison?
At the TDD, on cloudview center
looks like connie must be powered on. board and turn it off
forreal?
im bymyself, wouldnt my ship despwan?
it should not despawn unless its bug again
ok ill try it
thank you!
did it work?
I turned it off, about to fracture now
so was wondering if this is correct setup for vulture upgrades? https://www.erkul.games/loadout/jOd1KGOI
Most of that you won't be able to buy in game, and also terrible if you wanna reduce your signature. You can't fight with that, so you don't wanna be seen from miles away.
All you really need, Abrade scraper modules, and Colossus or Atlas QD.
Read [this](#flight-combat-racing message) to better understand signatures and component choice
sounds good ty!
Anyone know what the payouts are for senior and master hauling rep? I'm at experienced with covalex and have been successfully doing the 700k Hull-C missions.
scroll up to this afternoon I posted some example missions for Senior Rank, Master Rank rewards unknown (to me) at the moment (but it's the same type missions as Senior) - nb. I could not find any info on the current Master Rank Rewards
There is only 1 Hull C mission for Senior Rank and it pays 711k so not much better
Where do you sell hadanite
I meant like what terminal
the issue was it was in a crate, just had to unload it for it to show up
Dear citizens,
I got a Reclaimer, since few days now it explodes randomly. All the boxes are well placed, no ones is touching each other. Any ideas?
that's a known glitch with reclaimer, you might have a invisible box somewhere on your ship
i've noticed it at one point when I wasn't able to snap box on a certain area, but works everywhere around it
Okay, and how do I solve it?
Dear brothers in arms,
i need your help, I did my first mole rune but after making myh order on the refinery it wont let me collect
How big is your order ? What ship are you using to collect ?
there's no clear way to fix it, but what I did was that I loaded up some box in the grid, stored the ship, then sold the content
and that seems to have fixed it
7000cSCU
I noticed it was that i didnt had a ship with enough cargo space, went and rented a ship, collected my order, claimed my ship and its empty🥹
Store and retrieve it. It seems refined ore is often invisible and that often fixes it.
are salvage jump points broken in Pyro?
getting 1k contracts but cant jump to locations.
Mission markers are 50/50 across the board unfortunately
6 missions, zero jumpable markers.
Try switching regions, I had markers completely broken in EU but they worked on US
That's when I was doing the Fight for Pyro stuff
Unless those salvage missions are just broken, I wouldn't be surprised lol
A lot of Pyro content is half finished like the haulage missions
oh the starlancer max costs 8.8m aUEC not that expensive huh?
its cheap basicaly its better buy than Taurus ingame
Hi! I have a taurus and I'm a junior cargo hauler, what are the best mission to aim for?
I'm looking mostly for rep, and a bit of money
Stick to routes that are from space station to Lagrange. Planet-side locations can have buggy freight elevators
Lagrange?
And should I just be doing the highest paying?
Also should I worry about what cargo crate sizes its giving me
Locations that follow after a 3-letter location: ARC-L1/2/3/4/5
The L stands for Lagrange
Ah thanks
But Baijini is the space station within the ARC loop/orbit
Like could the give me too many 8 scu crates that i cant fit them in the taurus?
Just be mindful of the contract totals
Taurus has plenty of space to get you through the simple contracts
even like the 100 scu ones?
ah great thanks
what about drug smuggling from fallow fields to stanton? Is there a guide
Youtube has lots of videos I'm sure, I'd recommend getting used to cargo hauling until it becomes boring and then move on to other things, only so that you are building your skills slowly
cant find too many lol, especially where to find buying places
I found some, just not sure which ones are the best too get?
use a tool for buying https://uexcorp.space/
i bought a salvage gun but i cant use it in space on a ship, am i missing something? the gun just wont fire
so how badly was salvaged nerfed
Since when ? It's still a very profitable thing to do.
Always been
Last time I played was when robbing the salvage ships of their illegal cargo was really good
So when salvage wasn't even salvage and just absolutely broken "drug spawn simulator"
3.18 // 3.19 or so
Salvage is just salvage now. It makes good but not broken money, using a Vulture or Reclaimer.
It's doable with a cargo ship, going only for ship's components, mostly large weapons which can be valuable, but regular salvage is more common.
Unfortunately the sell prices of weapons are so low it's not worth it unless you just want them for personal use, for example I used to strip the 4x AD5Bs off the Redeemer salvage and the Military Shield for my Corsair.
anyone know the location of the ignis ashlands commodities terminal
Check the garages if it has them
I managed to get to experienced rank in cargo. next question: Hod tf do i use the hull-c without glitching everithing out? (if possible at all)
That's the neat part, you don't!
I saw that coming😅
There's like 3 or 4 separate bugs surrounding Hull cargo hauling
It could'v been a money printer... I guess "Fun detected by CIG"
I heard hauling contracts are good money loops right now, are they actually cause I got a Hercules
The Hull C jobs are the best paying ones, 700k for around 30 mins work but they're particularly unreliable.
Otherwise it's the smaller local jobs that are the most profitable, the larger jobs for the C2 size loads eat up a lot of time loading/unloading and don't really compensate for that additional time.
Best advice is to play them and see what you enjoy doing.
Combo with an ATLS and I'd say it's pretty good
How much is a hull C in game
Bookmark !itemfinder or erkul.games for ship prices in game and where to buy

what is the difference between the fortune and the vulture? I have the vulture, but Im not a huge drake fan. I was thinking of trying the gameplay loop again.
Biggest difference is only one salvage head, so you scrape at half the rate.
My Prospector exit door won't open coming back froma trip. Is there a workaround? Thanks!
Get in the pilot seat and press alt + f then navigate to the open all doors prompt.
Anyone got any tips to get to experianced rank for cargo hauling]
currently at member
Ok, I will try this later. Thanks!!
It's a workaround I have to use often in the RSI Lynx lol
Just keep doing member missions, fastest way is the local ones you can stack 3 or more at a time.
I forget, are the $50k salvage missions the highest within the legal contracts?
I can't see a rep bar for some reason
yo does anyone know if you can buy ROC paints in game and where?
!itemfinder has the list of every buyable paint
Use the website to search for any item (and where to obtain them) in-game.
whats the best loadout for the helix laser 1
hey guys wheres the best location to earn most money when tryna chain cargo hauling missions?
Either Hurston or Microtech due to the distribution centers
I use this site to set my trading up: https://sc-trade.tools/home
which planet is hurston i forgor lol
also thanks
The red one
area 18?
oh lorville lol
I rotate between the two locations either based out of Everus or Tressler
wait isnt this only for selling / trading cargo boxes lol....cuz how to use this for like cargo haul contracts
The distribution centers are good because they have hangars and outside cargo elevators so are more reliable than the local outposts
There's often several missions you can stack, I had a 6 stack at Microtech when I was member rank, it needs a bit of Logistics prep but good fun!
Ahh ok yeah it will not help with contracts. Good for resources trading though.
man if only xenothreat was still a thing smh smh
The 6 missions pay about 80-90k each, you'll drop at 3 locations, with cargo sorting time it's around 45mins to 1hr.
You'll need something that can hold about 100scu, I used either my C1 or Corsair
oh but what if im just focusing on chaing contracts from A to B....stilll mico and hurston?
using zeus cl
cuz im lazy lmao
If you just want to chain A-B it doesn't matter I just suggest you plan a route and go from there, you could go to each of the 4 planets and make a note of missions available.
The solar/interstellar are available on the mission manager anywhere
It's just the local missions you need to be at the planet locations
oh i didnt know there was universal missions noice
@mild pumice also erm i forgot that mission, but whats that mission called in yela is it? that u attack npc, yoink their cargo and sell it, but its illegal lmao
These are the kind of loops I do @wicked tundra just find a few missions that link up
i just heard it makes big money
Tbh I don't focus of the money just play small loops I enjoy
And switch them up
I'm trying to get up to master rank this time, I gave up half way through senior last time because the wipe was coming
Vaughn
if you have a ship auto cargo loading, can you log off or will it not finish then
You can log off based on my experience its treated same as ship claiming
o7 Citizens,
Is it normal that I can never sell my CSUs at TDD N"B from my Reclaimer ? Like I can sell only 100 by 100 (around)..
you mean only 100scu at a time?
No, I can sell very low quantities.
Dam
I just heard on a streamer site stored cargo might get wiped soon is this true? I been stockpiling my Refinery cargo...
About selling cargo at the main TDD's the stores open up every 10-15 minutes...and at Orison I have sold larger amounts of RMC and CM without a hitch. If you don't want to wait try re-logging to a fresh server region and see how your sales go. Good luck.
its a possibility with the patch coming in tonight or tomorrow, i sold all my refinery orders and my rmc stockpile last night and today just in case
Okay I will get on this I have like 700 scu of mixed cargo lol
God damn lol thatd be rough to lose
usually refinery orders poof when patches drop on live
Yeah go sell quick.
Cargo isn't part of the LTP and will get wiped like ammo and other consumables.
Are the salvage missions not a good source of rmc? Maybe it's bc it was an arrow, but i barely got 1 container. Also how do I fracture? I cycled though the modes, at I thought I did, and couldn't tell. Idk if the arrow can't be fractured. I brought the Fortune.
vulture i guess?
if yes
go salvage mode and press L.ALT + W
Fortune. Unless the Fortune can't fracture.
it can fracture
Ok so lft alt + w. Hope I don't fly forward. Lol
The normal salvage contracts can be mediocre so I do the Tar Pits unverified salvage missions out of the Crusader area. There is a timer but you can scrape some bigger ships and abandon the contract after 45 minutes and have plenty for your Vulture. No upfront costs.
either do valkyrie or hammerhead tho
Do you get other Materials then RMC from Salvaging with the reclaimer
Yes you can fracture the ship after you collect whatever RMC you want first. So in my case assuming a bigger ship I use the laser for 12 or 16 RMC then the rest would be CM via fracture. For Tarpits the NPC's comne after you in about 60 minutes.
I usually only do legal missions, unless in Pyro since everything is legal. Lol
how many cargo hauling missions can the Hull A hold?
@ripe grail iv been running the Hull A for the last week... its roughly 6 rookie missions from station to planet
extra small or small?
Outposts cargo elevators work any better now? I dont want ruin my reputation to test it🫣
any prospector miners unabler to attach the helix 1 mining head?
Is it only the mining head you can't attach ? Are you able to change other comps ?
dunno i have no other comps available
How is the Hull C with bought cargo atm?
@spare cloud i can unsave and save other comps mining head does not save nor even say its in use
this patch maybe dead to me already
Risky
bug wise
Yeah though don't know yet if improved in 402
To people who have tried both the Vulture and Fortune, which one do you prefer?
i got to the point where i need to sell.
i dock it at store the ship, go to admin and it says i need to bring it to cargo area. There is no cargo contact
well after 2 hours of hell it seems u know have to install mining heads to your prospector manually and not with the loadout screen, some Information would and Been NICE
Any workaround?
ok how do I detach the ROC bag? i've tried "deploying" it with the button on the back, tried unlocking ports when in the driver seat, but can't figure out how to do it. tractor beam always just picks up the whole ROC instead of just the bag.
nm I did it somehow... couldn't say how, but it works...
60% of the time it works every time.
60% is pretty optimistic for SC
if i buy a bunch of copper and store it in station storage, can i get it loaded to my hull c via loading dock? or do I have to buy direct to the hull c from the TDD terminal?
You'd be able to load it but you would only be able to sell it at the other end, not use as mission cargo
Actually I've not tried with the mission active calling cargo ATC might work!
if my surge module says "offline" does that mean it can't be activated?
pressing ALT+1 doesn't seem to turn it on
can Mole bags be brought up on the cargo elevators to fit onto a Prospector?
best place to mine ice?
how much does the new event pay out
whats the best thing to mine in pyro and where is it
im getting back into mining again
Is Cellin much better than Lyria for mining? Or are they comparable?
As of now, regarding mining, is it more profitable to do normal mining and selling or to mine and deliver for the supply event?
profit for supply or die mission is around 15k aUEC per SCU
but you need to finish the mission
Where can one mine tin
Im just trying all the tricks here to get the argo pods out of the cargo elevator and im getting really frustrated here
probably lost 10 pods now
anybody got any ideas?
I have tried the floor of storeall boxes and also doing 2 at a time
there is just no way im able to pull them out
Guys I bought corundum at bajni and im in a hull C, it wont let me load it tho, it says unable to transfer. Ive done all the possible solutions and none work so Im wondering if I rejoin, do I lose all my cargo?
It should be in your cargo elevator
Anyways I got a question
Well then I don’t know
okay (im cooked)
I do
I went from aurora -> hull A and then grinded 20 hours for hull C
smart? no, fun? no. stupid? maybe
Lmaooo
If I had bought a c2 id be golden now but im an average hull series enjoyer so I had to
anyways about thoes mining lasers
do i need a bigger size or jsut a stronger laser to break larger rocks?
bought SL MAX with aUEC and earned aUEC back in 3h with doing Supply or Die trade runs
If you have a reclaimer, be careful unloading. If the boxes begin to jiggle the ship will explode. IC report here: https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-158897#contribution:dd3ff6a0-dfd8-46ee-8a04-5cf1a4861afe

Not sure what ship you have but Prospector can only take S1 and only put S2 on a Mole. Look to more power in the mining laser and module(s).

Anyone know I've tried looking haven't really found anything
any advice how to fix pending status while equipping mining head ,im unable to equip laser thru an damn hour already 😦
so I noticed when looking for panels they're marked with 'debris' now.. but then one panel has a different ID.. is there any signifigance to these?
That one probably is just missing it's localized name
Just a little note, I don't think that rear hatch was actually meant for offloading cargo, but for bringing cut up bits of ship into the reclaimer. Like much of the reclaimer though, it's not fully functional, and it's basic idea is out of date as well. (Poor old Reclaimer needs a major rework, that it probably will not get anytime soon.)
How do I fix this? I came back from a cargo run and noticed I was apparently shot up. It won't fix in the hanger. Do I use a multi-tool with an RMC canister that's filled with material. Do I look for a derelict ship to scavenge the material? All I do are cargo runs atm.
after repair, store ship and call back, should be fixed
After what repair? There was nothing to repair in the mobi
hmm
I don't think there's a multi-tool that can fix it. 🧐
sounds like you need to just start from scratch i suggest self-destruction
That's an idea. I'll wear my hospital gown in the pilot seat.
is there anywhere that sells both copper AND corundum in stanton?
Magnus Gateway, be prepared to queue and wait for the commodities to refresh...
Perfect excuse to pickup the 9070 XT from AMD.
If the card is what they advertise it to be you'll be very happy.
does anyone know how to unload a HULL-C? everytime i dock my ship or even go to the pads i go to the admin center and it shows up red. i know this place needs the commodity
All better...
Backspace
That's above my pay grade.
wow, what a broken event. 24 hours ago I had 12 million credits and my biggest ship was a Cutty Black. Now I have 55 million plus a C2.
correct
ive gone to 2 different stations
my stuff is indemand
yes it says this
but thast the only way it will show my cargo
you have to click my shipo and the nclick that to have it show
this is somewhat normal right now. The drop down list is very out of sync with the display. Find whichever one shows your ship in the picture / shows the proper cargo capacity and that's your ship, even if it says the station name or "select location".
what event? im just updating now
Supply or Die
oooo keen
the payouts are crazy
Next time try turning off your shields, landing gear up and bump the hangar floor until you do a little damage, repair the damage and it should be repaired. If not store and reti reive ship and it should be repaired.
to be fair its to much you can make absurd amount of money and get that 3 rewards in 2 runs with Starlancer max
Yes. Way too much. And the balance between the mission types is so far off it's crazy. Effort vs reward went right out the window on this one.
yeah but its fun how busy Magnus gateway is
yea but you still cant unload
quick question: Can mxlift Tractor rifle manipulate 32SCU crates?
Hey I did my first refining in the game So I did a bunch of mining but after it was done refining I wasn't aware that I had to transfer it to a ship so the only ship I had that was big enough was a polaris. When i transfer it to the polaris I went to my hangar then retrieved it. when i opened the polaris nothing was inside of its cargo hull. Did I do something wrong?
try storing it and bringing it out again
why is everyone selling stuff in Magnus right rn? I'm reading this in every 10th sentence.
To buy Copper & Corundum?
buying not selling
yes
yes coupled with fact you can buy both
Tin and Ice?
just tin at magnus
Thank you
I'm starting to dig into mining hardcore but there is one problem i couldn't solve, how do i go to minor clusters without having mission there?
Copper and Corundum, both there
Just been Megumi Refuling, no luck with Ice there
I guess drop out of QTD is the one solution
E.g. between CRU-L1 (from) and ARC-L3 (to), you will drop out at 11.8GM Distance to Arc-L3, to reach Halo 5
Have a good look here: https://cstone.space/resources/knowledge-base/36
Base of operations for Cornerstone.
The maps apply on both, Salvaging (Panels) and Mining
Do these illegal salvage contracts require you to disable commarrays to avoid crimestats? It's been a long time since I did them, so I've forgotten.
no. you often has a timer that will clock down from 59 to 0 min.
when you dont abort the mission or finish it in time, you maybe get a CS and npc ships will attack
so aborting is quite a valid option if you e.g. only salvage these for RMC
IMO this is the new meta to salvage RMC also with vulture, not just reclaimer
panels got nerfed too hard
Should I run trawler on fortune for illegal salvage?
Abrades are my go too for salvage heads
If you're on a timer to complete the contract, Trawler certainly will help with that, but you'll get less total RMC for the same area.
Well the fortune only has the 1 head so thought maybe that would help it with the timer
Try the Trawler, and if you complete the contract with enough time left, switch the Abrade
Yeah maybe go without a tracker beam
Trawler for timer and abrade for rmc after
I was thinking keep the tractor as it can be handy, but just that if you see you regularly have good time left, you can get rid of the Trawler entirely for the Abrade
Ah okay yeah I'll try that
Be advised Pyro gateway is pure chaos
yep by now everyone has heard of the millions to be made, expect total chaos for the foreseeable future lol
Polarises are firing torps with inpunity
ordinarily it would die down once players get the rewards but you can still do the missions so I see them carrying on longer
These ore bags wont detach I have the green circle the red down arrow whats the trick? Left click turns off the Maxlift.
Did you unlock ports?
Hmmmm. Worked for me yesterday.
do they highlight also?
Wildbill. Things might still be a little borked. Try a different server.
I probably shouldn't do my Stanton gateway cargo runs then
Well I would suggest to do them off peak at least
But if it works just drag pull?
I got two ships on Daymar can this be done in the hangers?
Try the pyro multi tool instead
I tried the smaller one no changes.
Oh, yeah, I haven't tried auto unload recently. Auto load usually works at least
i want to mine, what ship should i buy?
is it better to mine on planets or in the verse
well you have 3 choices, the ROC a small ground vehicle for mining gems, the Prospector a solo mining ship or the MOLE which is for a crew up to 4 (inc pilot) there are 3 mining stations on the MOLE. As for mining locations there's plenty of guides out there but I'm sure someone who knows more than me will have some basic info
Anyone have a f7a mk2 I could borrow for bounty hunting?
This isn't either. Please don't spam all the server's channels with that
guys how can i unload my cargo to any station with hull c? (i dont have any missions, just wanna deliver the cargo to my storage)
You can't unload cargo from a Hull C into local inventory without using an other ship to take the cargo into a hangar
hmmm
at least can i deliver the priority missions?
Nope
i was trying to deliver 300scu corundum and copper
Anyone know if unverified salvage mission, like the tin can ones can also be accepted in Pyro?
If u were to solo load and unload cargo boxes with the atls mech....which one has a more efficient friendly experience......catapillar or c2 hercules?
C2 hands down
A few days ago I had to make 3 big hauls to a TDD with the C2 and ATLS and the Mech was not able to get a grid lock from the elevator area up into the C2. The mech needs to be elevated somehow. Thinking if a Nomad would assist? Going in the other direction better results.
anyone know where to find icy asteroids? Do you look around stations?
I found sometimes you can’t grab boxes off the cargo elevator, you have to be right next to the box on the elevator and tractor it outside the elevator. After that, all good.
Buddy of mine thinks it has something to with the instanced hangers “overlapping” each other and the game can’t tell if you’re trying to grab your cargo or someone else’s in a different hanger. But when you get up next to it, it recognizes everything.
Anyone know where on Fuego too find tin rocks or should I be in space
I've had that happen on ships as well.. where I can't pick of the box if I'm 'behind' it, but if I come at it from another angle it works. eg If I'm in a vulture facing towards the ladder I can't pick up a box, but move to the other side of a box and look towards the cargo door I can. Had similar issues with the Raft as well.
How is salvage economy atm? Reclaimer is is worth on it?
Anyone do mining that can help out a new player on surface mining
salvage economy is not bad, they nerfed panels by 50% less material per panel but otherwise its good
I don't understand nerfing panels but putting in lol money haulage missions. Honestly head scratching
To get people to test it?
I meant from a balance point of view
I'll eleberate, they create an event where you can buy or collect the goods yourself by other means but then nerf the rate at which you can salvage the item you need, that's what I find strange (surely you would want to encourage players to precure the items themselves instead of lining up at the trade terminal)
Is this based on the 3.24 numbers? Because last I salvaged (a couple weeks ago) it was way better than it was in 3.24.3
Or did they change it back on the latest patch?
4.0.1 was good about 7 scu per large [panel and now 4.0.2 is about 3ish from what ive been able to test i might be slightly off
Oh wow, that's wild.
And yet they will pay 26m for hauling 500 SCU of garbage commodity
I don't understand the pay structure on this event
Yeah I'm sticking to ships from now on probably, had found an 890 just before the servers died. So kinda sad about that. And that's why I also have a prospector it's a little fun hunting for the new minerals
you manully unloaded a full hull C?
multiple times, doing the supply or die event. It's not too bad with 32 scu boxes. And there's no other way to do those missions.
Where do you go to manually unload it?
I didn't think there was anywhere that you could do that
anyone ever get their refining load stuck in their ship?
like, unloaded from refinery into ship, and now I see the crates in my ship
but i can't move them
Is the vulture better than the Fortune because it has the two heads to use?
vulture can hold slightly more cargo total and has 2 heads yes
It's better
sorry, I read hull C and my brain said C2. No, you can't manually unload a Hull C, other than in space trnansfering to a smaller ship.
wow, cargo stuck even after logging out and back in
Thank you
so, if I have a event mission active for ice and tin, and I have a hull C full of Ice, can I auto unload it into the station?
What about sale to TDD from the stored ship's inventory?
Anyone has a good loadout for a zeus mkII CL?
What kind of loadout are you looking for ?
what? you did not want them to be shared here i stick to your rules and i get that as a reply?
Well I'd be using it as a medium freighter mainly, I want to be a lil tanky to avoid being killed immediately and I'd like a decent/good quantum drive
as QT it already has an XL-1 which I think I remember it is a good QT
Can't have any better than the XL-1 atm, other than for stealth.
I was following a guide and for now I got 2x Cirrus powerplants and 3 trenta shields
I have enough money to change em though in case
You can switch to #flight-combat-racing now, since the rest of the convo is about resisting attacks and defending yourself 👍 You'll find all the good stuff there
Wait so the cirrus and trentas are fine already?
Seriously tempted to load the game up tonight. Maybe mine some stuff in the mole.
What do i do with these "impossible" difficulty rocks? do i need a mole? or can i supplement with a better mining head ( i have hofstede s1) or potentially the intensity increasing module? just wondering if theres any way for a solo to handle these, or am I really giving up 5/8 of these rocks
Not cropped screenshot would help see the full information of your loadout and rock.
Some rocks appear as impossible but aren't always. You can start by getting closer, you're not really at optimal range. And see if you can do anything to it.
With a Sabir or Optimax gadget youcould greatly lower the resitance of the rock.
But if that's a 40000kg rock, you'll never crack it with a Prospector.
it is a 40k kg rock :p
ill try the sabit or optimax if i keep running into under 40k though that i cant break i suppose
is left prosp, and right mole?
Yes
okay , im starting to understand will keep looking at it, if i have any more questions ill be back
so because i have a hofstede 1 this is the maximums i would be looking at with no modules currently attached, am i understanding that correctly?
That'd be it yes
nice, ty, found one here that i was gonna give up on but the chart made me believe and im starting to see the green line go up xD
this is like the edge of my ability with this ship it seems tho
Man i think 45mil on my bank is enough getting tired that every trade run fo Supply or Die mission is ride or die
Get even closer
You got a link for these charts ? Trying to find where they're from
I found them longer back in this chat infact
just reposted them
Showed empty which was the weirdest part. Finally blew the ship up and everything was fine again
Yeah, ghost box. Happens sometimes. The cargo is no longer there
many people with bugs with the Fortune?
Is the mole much more annoying to use solo than the prospector? People seem divided.
depends on user. With mole you need to properly positon ship then go to mining turret
I guess theres a lot of seat swapping? Or is that once per rock kinda thing?
if you properly position mole its just pilot seat to mining seat then back to pilot seat when done
That's not so bad. I was worried you'd have to do it for ever fragment.
but remember you might need all 3 lasers to break some rocks
Oh, is that as tedious as it sounds?
you need 2 more players
Ahh
anyone else having screen issues with the Reclaimer?
Seems at random, my side MFDs will stop displaying, just the radar one in the center would work. If I get up from the seat you can see them come on, and if I get back in the seat, they go off again when they come down. The only real solution it seems is to relog, I am wondering if there is a MFD screen toggle key or something that might turn them off or on.
cant seem to find the answer on the question if the C2 herculas can fit a Fortune, anyone tried this?
It can't
Had that issue this weekend. I landed offloaded then self destructed and claimed
Anyone know if it's worth mining the resources needed for the event? It's insane right now trying to buy commodities and also the fact you can't call up your cargo isn't helping.
sucks, lost like 120SCU each of copper and corundum that I mined :\
Do the illegal salvage missions not have any loot in them anymore?
Sure it's worth it if you don't want to fight the crowds at the terminals. I mean the pay is the same, just might take a bit longer. But you can also cut out all the hauling, if you refine at the delivery location.
its kind of a bummer that no matter which method you use to put argo bags on prospector. they dont stay attached after claiming. the purchaseable ones from the refinery, pulling from mole, storing. locking ports. i wonder if thats intentional and they arent supposed to be treated like components and covered by insurance.
Because the elevators aren't working I can't get Copper or Cor. I've spent too much time flying around buying and not being able to get the stuff I need. I figure mining it might be worth it but I don't want to be mining for 8 hours just to get 50 SCU type of thing.
It feels like so many are getting insanely rich off the event and I have yet to figure out what works, for me, without it involving pirating and killing others.
50scu of mining is about 30-45 minutes in a mole solo-duo. those 300+scu contracts may be closer to 5 or so hours of mining.
that's why people stand in line for 40 mins, it's faster lol
and you get enough to do 5 medium contracts!
But the elevators don't even work.
Right now I can buy but no access to it at certain outposts.
at the stations they do
It's fairly easy to come back with a full prospector (32scu) in about 20 minutes, or a full Mole (96scu) in a bit more time. That's assuming you are being picky and looking for high value materials. Looking for common stuff like ice and tin, you can probably fill up a lot faster. You will almost certainly end up with stuff that isn't exactly what you are looking for, but still shouldn't take TOO long to get a supply or die mission worth of materials. It shouldn't be 8 hours to get 50 scu or anything like that. It will be longer than hitting buy on a terminal, but with terminals having lines around the whole station, it might be a better option at this point. You DO have to refine the material, which depending on how much you pay for refining will take anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours +. So it's a mine today, sell tomorrow sort of loop usually. But you can go out and keep mining of course while a job refines.
So people are buying for the event at stations?
Okay, that's good to know. I mean, it's difficult to go mining when there is a quicker way.
yes but it's like a black Friday sale
yeah, I'm a bit disapointed that this event didn't have a mining ONLY aspect to it. Maybe have some hauling missions like it has with lower rewards, and then some missions for things that were un purchasable with higher rewards to compensate for the increased time.
Exactly. There isn't much of an incentive for mining or salvaging when you just need to mad rush the ASOP and buy.
Like, there should have been a limit on how much you can buy.
well there is a limit by the supply/demand
Right, except it refreshes every "x" number of minutes anyway.
Hopefully they'll learn to better balance for next time tho
Yeah. Just now there's going to be a flood of large ships everywhere and money isn't going to be an issue for most.
at least more large ships will get tested lol
True.
honestly I wonder if this wasn't the goal... Maybe they were looking at their data and saw that two months after the wipe many many people were still running around in Cutty Blacks and such and they wanted to inject a bunch of money for some reason.
nah the goal was for up to 10 people to share the large missions, they said so in ISC but everyone solo them LOL
that or they wanted some server test data by sending everyone to one location
they should know by now how greedy players are
yeah, I have solo'd a couple myself so far. And worked with a couple of friends, but it was basically all of us working together to complete one mission each, so the same reward as soloing it
I only did a couple
expecting 10 people to work together to haul a single C2 worth of cargo... what were they thinking?
well that prob aimed more at the deteratrine mission tbh so maybe crew of 4-6 for the C2 haul
yeah. But even crazier on the deteratrine mission... 10 people to split 6m worth of profit? (unless you get lucky and steal it). The effort vs reward on this whole event is just broken, they didn't follow their own rules at all
I did detatrine with a large group, was fun, but the profit was meh. As stated above, the risk v reward aspect is completely backwards
Right? The incentive to work contracts in large groups isn't there. It should be multi-tasked where there needs to be a group and sometimes split, to ensure soloing with high payouts isn't a thing.
Now it's just stand at a terminal, buy, load, drop off, get rich.
It didn't seem worth it to me. 400k risk to buy stuff for even the smallest mission. 700k payoff
And the bugs are riskier tha pirates
Exactly
Noob question but I thought at least in 4.0.1 that mission payouts were 100% to all players participating. So if you complete a 50k bounty, every player got 50k. Did 4.0.2 revert that to give everyone just a percentage?
That was in 4.0.0 and reverted in 4.0.1
How's this performance? I think I have been unlucky in the last 3 days, didn't find much quality rocks
That sucks
I assume rep is also split 50/50?
Not sure, haven't taken a ruler to the rep bar
hi guys
What would you recommend as a ship that can autoload and the manually unload these supply missions?
trying to make it quicker + more profitable
Hull C doesnt work so..
I have a bunch of cargo stuck on my SL MAX grid. I had it autoloaded when I bought it, and now trying to manually unload. Any trick to get them unstuck? I tried multi tool, maxlift, and ATLS. Stored and retrieved the ship. Tried server hoping.
Happened to me just now. Any fix?
Any ship but H-C.
Best one would be C2
whats the mining website
Regolith.rocks ?
There's a couple I can think of, redmonstersc also has a site
idek how to begin using this website
is reclaimer usable solo ?
Worse than using mole solo or better ?
I blew the ship up :/ lost ton of cargo from mining. I think I saw a fix related to this mentioned in the hot fix they just released
Oh that's rough. I'll check the hotfix
Can someone help me figure out how to get my prospector unbugged? I lost connection with a load in it, had to blow it up to clear it out (wouldn't let me refine it) and now I can't put a mining head on it at all. Everytime I try as soon as I click save it disapears again
start clicking and analyzing, it's worth the effort
How did you loose mining head by blowing up your prospector ?
not sure, but its not attached now
and it wont let me put one on
One of the tips I heard on game chat was someone said knock the stuck crate with the corner of an unstuck one. Thejn there is some nebulous thing about a quick double click to relase crates from the grid in general.
I'll give it a try. My SL MAX is full and the angle will be weird to nudge, but worth a shot.
Try moving a box straight up a bit then out for the sides. Also, while normally you should start at the ends. starting one back from the end can work as well. Even when the cargo is not auto-loaded.
they messed all up. cant do even normal autoload cargohauling ive done the past few months bcos it loses cargo now 😄 😄 😄 and those new contracts just ruined the economy. only good thing is that no one buys anything from pledge store anymore so they actually have to PAY for their incompetence now... gives me some joy 😄 😄 😄 clowns 😄 😄 😄
Just wondering, what is minimun salvage mission versus mission fee, whats even point to do on Reclaimer? Missions where fee is about 20000, give hardly 25.50K.
Trawler modules certainly don't help to make money from contracts
Cinch would, but I'd take ages
Best is still you run panels with Abrade module
Reclaimer used to be great for salvaging the components and weapons but the nerfs to the ship and the heavily reduced sale prices of components killed that.
They should rebalance the buy in prices for these contracts to line up with component sell prices having being massively reduced (all part of the anti duping effort)
Salvage missions buy in was also never realigned to the reduced RMC scrape rates and sales price.
how many work orders can you have going at a refinery?
There isn't a known limit.
Supposedly unlimited
beautiful ty
so my buddy and i were in my mole earlier and i got out of the pilot seat and into a mining laser turret, so we had two lasers active, (both hofstede 2), and couldnt break the rock, (44500 11% resistance, and 55000 mass 20% resistance) and im wondering how we would be able to handle those , should i check out this helix+helix both with surge and sabir modules?
why wouldnt people have suggested me helix mining heads in the first place? is it in some way more challenging? like instability? or... if not i dont understand why helix wouldnt have been first suggested so there has to be some disadvantage to helix mining heads right?
just comparing these numbers , it seems helix+helix has 2-3x the mass capability per resistance as a hofstede
how long can you leave those work orders finished before they dissappear after they are completed?
for instance if i want to wait till i have all i need for a supp or die mission, how long could i just leave those there until i acquire 248 SCU of both, before it would become an issue, or does it ever become an issue? (can you leave a finished job indefinitely?)
Until next major patch
also beautiful. @spare cloud youve been crazy helpful with every question ive had so far
when i finish my first 26m mission i wanna send you some creds
my buddys just logged off but weve gathered two missions worht of tin, and im switching to ice now
Are there any mining guides that are useful with the current version? Used to do it a long while ago but forgot like most
can you not equip the sabirs? im seeing on the graph you want hofstede + surge + sabir for the high mass rocks, but im not able to attach the sabir to my ship module slots?
nvm i see how the sabir's work, but heres something i am very confused on , why is the helix not showing numbers until its combined with focus III and Rieger C3
are the individual laser heads of the focus and rieger uselesss until combined with two other laser heads?
Rieger and Focus are passive modules.
So they're always applying their affect
I'm not at my pc at the moment to use context to understand without asking but could you explain that further? What is a passive module, would that not be applied to your existing mining heads like the surge?
Passive modules are always active and unlimited.
Active ones like Surge have limited use, only last a few seconds each time
With your Helix + Rieger + Focus + Surge, the Reiger and Focus effects are always working.
Surge only is when you activate it.
Okay I'll Def have to use those to understand what that means, ty though
I'm particularly bad at understanding things without seeing some context for myself..
Alot of Miners use the gadgets on the bigger rocks.
The gadgets are the ones you have to manually apply to the rock right? Modules are what you add to your ship?
Yes on gadgets. Modules can also be changed on site.
I bought some sabirs before I hopped off, I'll probably be on in 5 hours to try them out, but I'm wondering, are focus and rieger modules or are they gadgets?
How do you change modules on site?
Again I'm sorry I could probably find this out in game but I'm not on and it would be nice to still learn while not online
Those 2 are modules. You unlock the ports then you can change out everything out on the mining site.
I've heard of unlocking ports to give guns away but don't know how to do it there's probably a hot key i can set though right?
I watch the top miners on You Tube or Twitch for tips. You can see their loadouts.
Left alt K I think.
Gadgets are the one your place on the rock directly, by hand.
What's equipped on the mining head are modules
Active or passive, they're modules
That's the retract/ extend wings hotkey, I'll figure it out though, thank you
Left Alt + K is to switch configurations yes.
Right Alt + K for ships ports
I usually always recommend one helix on your mole. The other two I lean toward Hofstedes- usually with a partner I'll make em both Reiger C3 Focus 3.... the Helix: double surge stamp
So when the mole chart is saying you want helix and hofstede and focus and reiger and surge, which do you put on which?
Oh, nvm think dura just answered that as I asked
That
Ty ❤️ and that probably even as a duo could handle just about any rock in the verse I'm assuming?
No, there are quite a few rocks that require multiple crewed moles
question i hate math, i dont get cargo in this game, is there a simple way to know if a mission is to transport 96 scu and it says they wont be more than 8 scu, if ill be able to fit it in my ship? is there a site to input to see calculations if itll fit in my cargo hold?
im referencing the image of the freelancer max where it shows the cargo size, but that doesnt help me understand if i can fit the above example of 8 scu boxes 96 sscu worth
Also, huge question, i can enter a mining mode while the pilot, but I haven't figured out how to actually mine from the pilot seat (in the mole)
Is it actually possible atm or is that mining mode from pilot seat just a tease?
You can't
Mining mode from pilot seat is just to scan rocks
See their properties and if you can mine them, without needing to go down the mining seat
Ah okay, if I'm running mole I usually have someone with me so that's kinda useless for that I guess, when I'm solo I get in the prospector
Can anyone DM me with info on the best Pyro spot for Tin? Thanks!!
There isn't a point in having two identical mining head and modules if you're running solo/duo
Sent
I might not know quite what I'm doing yet but I've read every composition location chart available for Tin
My buddies all insisted we stand in front of kiosks for hours and I got so instantly bored that I bought a mole and a prospector
I got to Magnus okay but got into a pushing match with a player in those lines so I'm not going back lol. I've also been mining but not in Pyro yet.
You can run the Mole solo quite handily, you just have to switch seats
Solo I agree. Duo, I can put whoever in one of the hogs while I man the other for quick cluster mining. I've done that quite a bit- I see way more sub 10ks where I can just plop in the middle and hoover everything
bump
How to get the most out of hauling?
Thx for this suggestion. No go. Apparently it's a new bug for people who autoloaded cargo. There's quite a bit of noise about it, some tickets. Affecting refined material autoloads as well.
Do the math dude, 96/8 ain't hard, and your phone/computer can do it for you.
Then you just watch how many times it fits on the grid
they should split out buying and selling in to different windows, this event makes it hard to sell anything on the stations that sell the copper/corodium because people just push you off the screens because they want to use it, or walk in front so you cant click anything.
The only PVP in this event is happening at the commodity terminals 😂
yeah, i hear people earning Millions, i dont even dare to take any of the missions, because if you have to buy it somewhere then it will just be sold out anyway
whats the best scraper module for the vulture?
i think these prio jobs should be limited per person
honestly I've been able to get myself a bunch of tin and ice you just sit at a terminal while you do something else and hop every 14minutes to buy a bit
I do the medium ones, 64SCUs of each isn't impossible to get
and 6mil is still a very good gain if you're solo'ing those
(And I'm not some kind of hoarder that has 5000000000SCUs of tin and camps magnus gateway lol)
i looked at the 26 SCU, then i bought something else to drop off to that spot thinking i could buy 13 Corr and move on, but selling my stuff was already a pain because of 1 person that kept pushing me around and stepping in front of the console just to be rude
while he already skipped in front of me
i have a location with some copper and Corr bought, but i cannot get it out because the freight elevators there dont work
so no, the event is not worth it with all the bullshit and bugs around it
Trawler if you need to go fast for timed contracts, tho Abrade should be totally fine unless you're real bad at salvage.
Cinch if you need to maximize profits out of a paid for salvage claim.
Abrade is the best choice for most things
how to make te most out of hauling?
Money ? Stack multiple small contracts
yep, can you give me an example?
that depends on your rep rank and ship
Small contracts, the one that your ship can fit multiple of.
You accept multiple of them that preferably use the same pick up and drop off points, and you do them
Like multiple (extra) small Seraphim <-> Tressler, or Everus <-> Hur-L1
i only do hauling missions to get starting capital for trading
This is, if you're maximizing money at low rep.
At higher rep, Hull-C's good
And the rest I'm not sure what's best, still have to reach high rep myself
That would be hard since you can store a max of 1000scu at a station, so you'd need an army of alt accounts!
And honestly the max scu limit is the only reason people can actually get these commodities from stations
This. I always bought 500SCU Copper and 500 Corundum so i dont need to visit terminal every time i get to Magnus
stockpile it first, then take the mission
and yes, the money is crazy. I had 12m and my biggest ship was a cutty black when the event started. Now I have like 80m and a C2
but I did most of that on Saturday before it really got crazy
i got bored at 45mil
cant stockpile it anyway because people keep pushing, and i'm not the kind of person that starts pushing other people
all i want is another 10m for a bigger ship, so i just looked at them, then flew with some cargo there i could sell there, and even selling my stuff was made hard by another player
yeah, I think I'm done with trying to trade for it. Will probably start mining and do some that way though.
my issue was every time it was ride or die becouse i was playing dodge that S10 torpedo everytime at magnus
crazy. I have run into 0 of that on the servers I have been on. Long lines at the terminals, and stuff out of stock, but no issues in space.
I also think they may have lowered the refresh rate with the hotfix. It seems slower than it was over the weekend.
events should just be a limited amount, so you can only take the basic 10 times, only take the medium 10 times etc.
Last two times I bought tin, every 15mins 100/300 tin were restored
for ice for me at port tressler it's always been like 10/15
pretty big difference
random question but I thought it might be relevant here, what do you guys see as the role/need for the starfarer in the future? What changes create the necessity for it?
flying gas station is definitely an interesting gameplay loop to me but right now there's no reason for anyone in pyro not to just blow it up, and even less reason to use it even for cheaper fuel prices
On the Die event if we send more RMC down for the order is that okay?
One day, if CIG actually ups the difficulty slider of the game, and adds the utilities needed, it might be a necessity for long travel in places like pyro. But until then, I think every ship has enough fuel to make it most trips, let alone requiring you to refuel along the way.
You mean if the contract requires 63scu and you send 64scu down? You'll get the excess 1scu crate in your inventory
I was thinking about fuel capacity but also potentially fuel prices if quantum fuel had drastically different pricing in different parts of the verse. Being able to tank up where it's cheap and fly it out to where it's expensive would be nice if there was a really meaningful price difference
but also getting blown up with 200k worth of quantum fuel would really really suck lol
Yeah, all those are possible, but as I said, they'd need to stop babying the player base. But I guess, to quote a friend "Game's not there yet"
Are parapets the best shield option for a C2 currenùtly?
yes, the elevator actually gives change now. If you have a 63 scu mission and send down two 32scu boxes, you will end up with a 1 scu box in your warehouse.
yeah that makes sense, and the current refueling process is so easy and even external and ground pads are so abundant that it's hard to justify the whole docking + payment negotiation process without an actual need
fix did not unstuck the elevators at the mining site, so no point in going there
Buy ice in pyro. Got over 600 my 1st purchase at megumi.
You have to deliver ice to a pyro station anyway
might actually consider that
a lot of pirates there?
Or campers outside the station?
@orchid void I would avoid traveling direct from one busy station to another. That's where you'll risk pirates intercepting you.
At stations you should hopefully see in advance if it's busy and then calculate if you want to risk it or not.
For example, in Stanton the route from Magnus Station to the Pyro Gateway apparently is full of pirates pulling people out of QT then stealing their stuff.
pyro -> Hurston, just got pulled out in that one
Were you traveling to Seraphim?
I've been choosing a different route each time. 7 different kinds of smoke.
While it's very annoying that's happeing, it does make sense for this type of game. Nice to see people are using the proper ships to pull people out of QT but I wish they would against a Polaris and learn a lesson lol
lol says right there i was going to hurston the plannet
Yes, I thought you were generalizing.
nope, they are on the way from pyro gateway to hurston, 5 ships
we need a radio station for haulers to sent out coordinates where pirates are haha
Problem is, who can you trust?
sadly no one, thats why i make 3 jumps with longer distances
Which ship do you use to haul larger amounts of cargo?
i just use my zeus CL
i have no other haulers since every time i tried to add to the event i got bullied at the consoles
Now it should be relatively quiet.
sadly everything is already sold out, and i'm not willing to wait at a terminal for 60 min
where do i find people to salvage on my reclaimer with is there a discord or something?
@patent shore Or try #looking-for-session
whats the best size 2 mining head
Personally I go with the Erebos. Great speed, range and a short cooldown. What's not to like?
thats a quantum
lol yeah I realized as i was hitting enter
I'll try again with the correct component. Yes on paper it's the best. Personally for the price I don't see that the gains are worth it. I stick with the stock.
True but even so spending an extra 270+k for minimal gains still doesn't seem worth it to me. But that's just me
which turret slot is which (for the mole) does it go from left to right? center, left, then right?
for like, slot 1 is center or maybe left?
Stuff is highlighted in red when you click it in the loadout manager.
did they remove the checkmate tin and ice restock mission i cant see it
if the visual of the ship in the loadout manager ever worked for me that could be useful XD
do you happen to know anyways which is which?
hate that bug
it switches between checkmate, ruin, and obituary
not always up, keep checking
ok i got refined tin and ice at checkmate lol
that was meant for dev right?
yeah it was sry
saves me traveling to ruin to get blown up by some neckbeard
i found accepting and abandoning ones at other stations to speed it up worked
i do all mine at ruin beacuse you can just buy the ice there
ahhh ok i just like mining lol
of course, enjoy it
I made my easy cash and now I will start mining too because I like it
Anyone can even get in their Hull C ? like i tried to do a run, the ship disappeared, i went back on another server to retrieve it, got a black screen and now im stuck lol
so no one is sure which mining head is which slot ?
im gonna assume nose is turret 1 right?
does putting two surges on one mining head do anything?
Not if you don't activate them
Are there 100k hammerhead salvage missions still? The largest ones that I’m finding are 50k and I’ve done multiple of them
is there no way to set the output of a finished refinery job to the station instead of a ship?
as fas as i have seen no, should always be loaded in to a ship
well that is rather annoying, ty
i own a mo,e guys but i have questions
what laser combination is best for solo mining in mole with what modules and can i tsack riger c3 again ?
For science (and I got fed up) I blew up my SL MAX to see if I can pull the cargo off the grid. No go. So no one else try it lol.
Where can ice be mined? I know tin is from pyro ground
asteroids ore the outer planets of pyro the more far away from sun the better
so this is basically just impossible right?
without someone else doing like a 1% tap to increase that optimal zone
no
its easy
when u have gadget
sabir
does that one increase the optimal window too?
u have to get closer until its optimal
ore ur laser will have damage fall off
with those you have to get out of the ship and walk up to it with the gadget right?
lol yeah, its hard cuz im solo running a mole for the first time
bro its a 4500rock u can solo mine 45k rocks
ive got a crew hopping on in an hour, i appreciate the offer tho, ill add you in game
i know, its not the strength/mass of the rock thats the issue, its the tinnyy optimal window
dm me
the very moment i get it to green its already in red
does not matter just try not to get the red to get full
the mole got buffed with an size 3 shields
60k hp
I cant find any pings anymore from scanning
so how do ik if the moduels on the mining head are actually working
ive tried changing them by hand and thru ship both times it says offline
Ice can be mined from any asteroids areas in pyro distance from the sun in irrelevent CIG does not unterstand ice melts when hot
My elevator is only halfway down and I cannot seem to be able to close the elevator in the Taurus... anything I can do besides store the ship and get another?
If a mining module says +15 Resistance that's adding to it correct?
What module?
surge and stamp
Howdy everyoner, Im running a Reclaimer right now. I had 90ish SCU of material in my ship. But when I QT'd to Hurston my SCU TANKED down to 19. Anyone know why this would happen?
Have you tried activating them? Alt -1, alt-2, etc
u can activate them? neat
The active modules will be offline until you turn them on, that's how they work. Passive modules are always on
But the active ones have limited uses before they have to be repaired
u can repair them u don have too replace them?
i see i need new binds on my stick for mining then
I believe they used to come back when you repaired the ship. It's been 6 months or so since I used them though.
Ight I hope so would be so much nicer my modules are in Stanton and mining in pyro
Just double checking- can you get CM from panels?
No, not unless it changed very recently
Thanks. I didn’t think so, but just thought I’d check.
so i just started mining, what are the best heads and module ?
looks like the party is over
Depemfs on what u mine amd ship
How can I fix this i'm using a ship Tractor beam and it won't take my cargo out?
Are buy orders around 12-13k?
prospector and idk what to mine, something that make the most amount on planetary surface like daymar
Ok so stanton prospektor mining
Helix1
Get a rieger c3, xtr-xl
And waite
Yeah
But basicly u only mine on daymar because tier 1 mat is gold
For quantanium u go to cellin
there are lots of good spots. Lyria is my favorite overall in Stanton, but I haven't tried them all.
Helix 1: rieger, focusIII/xtr-xl
For quant mine on cellin
For gold on daymar
Refinery hur l1
Ore cru l1
Bro ima try to find a good solo mole build for lasers
Not Terminus belt?
Stanton
U mean aron halo belt 5
U mean the belt where u waste 40mins getting there ?
Oh I missed where the question was "in stanton"
I read "In Stanton" and interpret "In game" because for so long Stanton was the entire world
Ohhh
yeah mb
I haven't logged in for awhile now. Kinda making me want to go mining
Hell yeah ui is new and stuff new materials in pyro
Xd both belts are pain to get to
Terminus belt is easy; just fly out the door at ruin
the trick is to already be at Ruin, though
Lol
one big, one medium, one small. Often with one really big powerful laser, it's too big for the re-crack on a big rock (when you gotta break some 12scu rocks down to extract them). That's where the medium or small comes in.
Yeah i know but since some updates fucking up stacking shit idk if i can do 2x rieger c3
I don.t like those aktive modules even tho the effekts are nice
ahh. I hear you can stack them in this update. I haven't tried
Yeah i already build a build xd
So they updatet the prizes of tin
Its set to. 7800%
Its now 30k instead of 355
🤣
Ice the same probably
