You can't autoload hauling, so compare trading as though you manually load the cargo. With a Hull C you can make like 800k-1.3mil with the right commodity provided the loading and unloading work.
yeah okay, so kinda what I thought - you need something with massive cargo space for it to be faster than Hauling, but it's always easier just because of autoload
still looking for help with this one
demand issue
is there way around it? server hop?
realisticaly you need to wait for demand to increase and pray you are quick enough before someone also sells it
im in same boat i looted 24SCU container of Etam yet cannot sell it
might try CRU L4
CRU L4 worked for me
Whats with this "Failed waiting on pending result" crap at TDD?
can you get to the cargo bed of the nomad from the inside?
Anyone know why my bought cargo hasnt appeared in my ship?
are you using autoload or Hull C?
bugs, be advised autoloading can eat your cargo
It can make it invisible but its still there. Has worked for weeks
But i always do one transaction then esc f and then another one
Just in case
trying to set my Thrustmaster T1600m slider to use it for mining laser power game isnt seeing the slider at all when moving it to bind it any ideas?
If my ship has no cargo after waiting for the autoload to complete and then retrieving it, is the commodity gone forever? Or is there a technique to recover it?
Mo. you can only look through the tiny window to the hold.
store and take it out again
Ok, I'll give it a shot. I stored, relogged and when I retrieved it, it was stuck in the hangar floor.
I had an issue saving my new laser gear to the MOLE. In the VLM the stock lasers were switched to the new with a save after each one I get in space and the old ones still installed. What is the correct procedure or bug work around to fix this? Thanks
for vulture is fracturing better than using the beams
CM doesn't pay very well so must players go for the RCM...
yep just scrapethe ever livin owo of them stuff, rmc pays a lot more and it matters way less if you only gun for it with a vulture / fortune than in a reclaimer
CM is the distingration and RCM is the guns on the front
right?
cm is when you nom nom stuff while the rmc is when you scrape of stuff with zip zap
lots of storage
10 times the cargo hold, vulture / fortune has tiny capacity in comparison and it's both faster and easier to fill the lil volture / fortune than it is the reclaimer.
But yes, one would gain way more if one only went for rmc regardless
ok where can i sell these at
does putting mole bags on prospectors still work? And does it save through claims?
Fortune is less work. Not worse. There's a trade off
Yes fracture is not worth it on the vulture
what do i do with a QT bug when i have material i ejected in the cargo bay
Although with a little cm you can make stuff
Pretty sure it works do not know about claiming. Also 4.0.2 has mining bag improvements.
Absolute best way to earn money from Cargo/Salvage?
I can do the 6 Baijini-Riker Missions in 30-40 minutes but I can't salvage fast enough to finish the ships before they disappear on me
dont do salvage missions
just go panel huntings for pure profits
panel huntings done at the Lagrange points (all the points with a "A", e.g MIC-L1A HUR-L2A etc) or the Aaron belt
OR, get someone in your org/friendlist donate you a C2, or multiple C2s to salvage without needing to go panel hunting
Quick summary? I can YouTube a vid I'm sure
check TheCoreGameplay, he released a salvaging video 10days ago, for 4.0.1, i like this guy vids
he goes through everything you need, from loadout to reaching to salvaging + selling
Thank you.
Literally no BS pretty sure my friend sent my that exact video within 30 seconds of you typing
yeah this guy does good work in my opinion
Does a Roc fit in a Zeus CL?
yes
Ty!
for salvaging i have the 50k ones now do i just pick the biggest ship and do that
i need a bit oh help anyone here know mining at all like haves been doig it a lot my laser is currently stuck at 5% mouse scrolling dosen't work nor using alt and mouse scrolling
i think the lock haves something to do with it but i don't know how i locked it
is the "lock" preventing you from moving?
At experienced hauling rank there's a hull c mission that pays 698k. Takes like 30-45 mins to complete depending on how much you need to tinker with the load/ unload mechanics
i dont know man, i wouldnt ever recommend Hull C to brand new players
even to experienced players
just go max c2 levels
C2 does great profits also by bundling a few 100-150k local missions that are pick up at different locations and drop off to the same place. Best in MT where there are distribution centers with instanced hangars and the atmo is quicker in/out vs Hurston.
But the hull c ones work good since you just pull into cargo ATC box, load it up automatically without having the tedium of tractor beaming a bunch of stuff. It's mainly buggy at the main stations (can never seem to get EH to work, and SS breaks for me often also), but seems to be reliable at the gateway stations
thing is you need to pick up those hull c hauling mission at the main stations. so its not a good recommendation
would hauling be better than salvaging
i can level up hauling and get more money per load but idk about salvaging considering the reclaimer is 16 mil
32 mil
do hauling contracts work with the Hull C? been unable to make the autoloading thingy work so far
They do, but with Hull C dedicated contracts
You can't do other regular hauling contracts with it and stack them this way
do hull C dedicated contracts pay more as well?
Up to 700k afaik
well its a bit better then the 60k to 80k contracts i keep getting
about 15m short of being able to buy one tho
Can you use the Hull C with any hauling missions?
Its bugged atm
collecting cargo works, but delivering consistently failed for me
might work for you tho
lost all my hauling rep (halfway to senior) yesterday to a bug
F
Ok thanks
I consider the Reclaimer an "early" game neccissity and was able to pledge it 8 months ago. The ship makes good credits and is fun to fly and scrap and fracture complete the deal. At the same time being a cargo hauler is good to.
hey yall, does anyone know what size ARGO bags come on the mole? and if you can swap them with bigger one you buy at the store? I cannot find internet resources for this. Please @ me if you respond ❤️
There are no bigger bags than the ARGO ones
They're 12 SCU bags.
Physically the same size as the 8 SCU MISC bags
gotcha thanks
also wouldnt recommend buying them from a store, they tend to clip under the freight elevators, sometimes filling the first layer on the elevator with empty stor* all crates pushes it up enough to not clip under the elevator
Best to rent a MOLE or ask someone to land you theirs
Or pull them off a salvage mole. But are they working now? I tried putting them on my prospector shortly after 4.0.1 dropped and they didn't persist through a claim, and I have heard others say that with them equipped it always shows 0/0 SCU on the mining screen
It wasn't working for a bit but it should be good again now afaik
I'll have to give it another try
wonder how long till 4.0.2... Might not be worth it if that's coming soon, but if it's the end of the month it wouldn't be so bad.
whats the best salvage head for the fortune? is it the abrade?
best one overall
does 4.0.2 come with a wipe?
What is the better to make money , mining or salvaging ?
mining can make a lot of money but it can be a slow burner with more steps than salvage, salvage is the quick and easy cash cow
Ok thanks!
not supposed to, but since mole bags on the prospector are not fully supported by the ship loadout manager, you always lose them on a patch.
ohhh got it! thanks, you got me worried xD
is the steel trade viable with the Hull C?
haven't tried loading anything but 8 scu containers in the ship
i'm new with the Hull C and i already have lost some milions by doing things you are not suposed to do
Most of stations cargo area are bugged, only that works are gateways, for the HullC and when they do work, big contracts doesnt complete, there is always a few SCU missing, have to submit the contract and very very rarely earning the 698k the contract is supposed to payout
by now i have been trading distilled spirits between terra gateway and pyro gateway and it has worked good all the time
Trading with the HullC as the current state of loading/unloading is absolutely impossible
now i have more budget and i wanted to buy steel at everus harbor and sell it at seraphim
commodity cargo hauling seems to work way better than contract hauling does for the time being, but at least do some small tests to see if your servers cargo boxes work for you before you go big with them
Is the Hull C worth it atm?
I droped it for the Vulture (more reliable than them cargo boxes)
fortune is not less work
Sure it is. Fill boxes to outside grid, dock, sell
Anyone here that do trading and have run into this when selling before?
any clue how to fix it? I tried relogging
Try relogging, choose a different server
you can also try different consoles
So reproduced that Atlas problem 3 times today, where you cannot unload snapped cargo boxes (from hauling contracts) from the C2 cargo grid. This is besides the fact that you CAN load them up.
ended up just manually unloading all of it after a while, but new question now xD: trying to buy commodities, and getting "cargo transfer failed", any workaround for this? anyone know?
also just lost 1 million credits because I bought, it said completed, and that autoload would take like 8 minutes or whatever, but it never loaded on my ship.. the cargo space available never moved from 0%, and after waiting a while and calling my ship + checking the terminal, there was no cargo
any clue if there is a place i can find the cargo now?
Nope. Been there. Lost in space
o7
Sometimes store and retrieve ship, but never know
trading doesnt really seem that good now then..? cause in a few hours of trading, ive lost around 3 million, and made 300k? 😭
Correct, it's very risky right now
got any tips for good ways to make money? I have an Anvil Arrow, a Zeus and C2 Hercules at my disposal lol
Hauling contracts or fight for pyro missions seems best to me at the moment
Bunkers, bounties can be good money
i mostly do the contracts, if something happens you dont lose money only a bit of rep
i want to get a C2 as well
I bought a full HULL C load of medical supplies, only to realize a lot of places are stocked up on them already.
Bug with C2 right now and Atlas, I hope they get that fixed soon
anyone here do mining and can give me an estimate of how much they make, and what they do?
it really depends, but i remember averaging around 150-200k on a rented prospector
on a owned prospector because you can change heads easily 200-400k, depending on how lucky you get.
^ thats prospector planet side mining. i dont know anything abt asteriod mining
and how long are those runs?
for roc mining, i was averaging around 150k-200k too
but i was an outlier. there was a bug no rocks spanwing on aberdeen
dont take that as reference
if your talking abt returns, too damn long
you need to refine the ores to get maximum value + transport to somewhere else to sell
quick and easy money is from salvaging
Can get 300-500k an hour from roc mining hadanite on Daymar or Aberdeen
i have a drake vulture, but salvaging is so tedious, from what ive seen on youtube mining seems less tedious
It certainly has more steps.
Have to pay attention to the mining laser so you don't blow up the rocks.
Salvaging you can just turn your brain off or watch something while you salvage
i feel like i have to be so insanely exact with the lasers, cause they are so small on the big plates
Are you using abrades?
Anyone here familiar with using the Hull C for trading?
yeah i am
dont
it is insanely bugged, like, you WILL lose money
trading in general WILL lose you money
Damn, it's really that bad rn?
i traded for about 2-3 hours today, made 300k from the 1 run it actually worked
and lost about 2,5-3 mill from the ones that didnt
What was bugging out?
you buy cargo, and you dont get it
you click buy, it goes through, you call your ship, and it isnt there
or
sometimes you call your ship, and you dont get it, it just says "destroyed"
then the cargo is also gone
anyone gotten autoload to work with a caterpillar? I've lost 2 million tonight from errors. The purchase will go through for 24 16SCU and then I try to by some 2SCU to go with it, it says that failed bc it's waiting on the other purchase (same type) and that first purchase never loads
huh? i thought all ships other than the hull c didnt have automatic loading
For hauling contracts.
But you can auto (un)load commodities you buy/sell
i c
Doesnt really work all that well rn sadly
As a counterpoint to the above; I have found station>station commodity trading to be smooth and largely free of bugs, though you should manually load cargo and avoid Planetary stations. I spent a good week of evenings doing a loop in the RAFT.
What would be really sweet is an external freight elevator you can call up on stations that you can use MPUV/RAFT to ferry boxes to a larger hauling ship instead of having to rely on the autoloader.
I might be a crazy but I would happily hang around a station and load bigger ships for credits
the tohught was even to have the station send out drones to haul cargo, repair, refuel and rearm...
but instead we abuse the ever living carpet out of aladins chocolate box with that space magic..
but yes I do agree that it would be amazing if we could get external cargo lifts for stations and that heckin hull c (at least they can be more reliable than the magic space cargo box that we have now)
well that is as long as people don't frick'em up like they love to do and don't know how to handle things, just want to rush stuff like there's no tomorrow and the world is ending yesterday
(this game abuse a players patience to the max)
is there any problem with reclaimer atm?
Havnt played in a few months but i jumped on to try out salvage and the new HUD and MFD's are somewhat confusing but my main concern is that i cant find the mass indicator when i ping looking for panels and i cant get the scanner to work either still trying but where on the HUD do you see the mass in the vulture?
Scrap that i just figured it out 😅
Someone here more than likely knows the answer to this so here goes.
How come auto load works with refined ores but is hit or miss (mostly miss) with commodities?
Lots of problems
It's a different system. Refinery has not been messed with. Autoloading is new
New equals will be bugged for years
If they ever make any changes to refining, then it will also be bugged and not work properly sometimes
Is reclaimer worth it rn?
But is it unplayable?
last patch in 4.0.1 i played with 2 friends in a reclaimer for a nice amount of time free of problems
Does the rear most salvage elevator not open far enough to fit 16 scu containers out of the reclaimer anymore?
ok, so my cargo is in a weird state. My caterpillar in the refinery terminal shows it has like 250 SCU of cargo. When I go to the trading terminal it says auto unloading is failing and so I can't sell anything.
When I retrieve my cat it is completely empty inside... Is there a trick to get your cargo back?
its actually like 250 SCU of quant, stil, taranite, gold, and bexalite which I would REALLY love to be able to get out
sometimes storing the ship and retrieving it will make the cargo show up. In fact I would say I have to do this almost every time I load goods fromt he refinery. Ship comes up empty the first time, then the second time it comes up with the cargo.
but auto unloading has been working for me, so I'm not sure what to tell you there
The way I unload the Reclaimer is park it with the rear drop lift close to the wall by the freight elevator. Open all exterior doors command. Start pitching the 16's horizontally down the chute opening be careful keep them aligned horizontally and all the way back with the tight fitting opening. If they get all jammed up go back to the pilots seat and toggle VTOL mode or open/close the exterior doors then go back and do more. I have not had the ship blow up yet. However there is an alternate method that involves blowing up the ship. Good luck.
auto unloading breaks sometimes with the cat. It seems like when I have a bunch of different goods sometimes selling in the wrong order breaks auto unload
then I can never auto-unload that ship again until I claim it
usually I just manually unload at that point
Hot tip I got on if the VLM does not save a new loadout on the Mole laser changeout. It is reset your Windows auto clock setting. I am going to try this later and will report back.
No, just annoying
So if anyone has an Atlas and a C2, please report the error where you cannot lock onto the snapped on boxes in the cargo grid when you go to deliver the contract. The only way to do it is with the Maxlift or pistol tractor, the Atlas will not lock onto those boxes. I do not know if this is just isolated to the C2.

Thanks for the info 🙂
it's not only a C2, i got a starlancer MAX and happens the same
atlas only serves to load the ship, not unload
please add to my issue report, its a real pain in buttocks
It would be great if they would fix the elevator of death outside the bridge door, lol
I’ve had the same issue loading with atls from freight elevator into a c2, can’t pick up from the elevator without manually grabbing first
good news, this latest issue with cargo not appearing was resolved by claiming my ATLS... I think it was stored inside the cat and that broke some stuff
also good news, looks like the nose cargo in cat being broken is confirmed fixed in 4.0.2... hopefully that means I will get to finish unloading my cat after the patch
When I tried to get them out the rear they wouldn’t fit through the gap like at all. Are they supposed to glitch through the opening?
The other option is load them in to the elevator and do 2-3 at I time. I only print 8SCU crates, they clip through the back better
Yeah ill try some different things later
16 scu boxes through the very hidden (hard to open) hatch in the back of the reclaimer is doable... just a pain in the left and right cheek to make it happen.. 8 scu boxes work way better for that alone
What is happening is the closer the crate is to that opening the more difficult it is to align them to the width. So the first 10-15 are the worst but after that the more distance available the straighter the maxlift sends the crate on its way to that opening. When you first start stacking the 16's by the drop in opening leave some space there of about 15 feet. if you have 2 players leave one in the pilots seat working the VTOL and Open Exterior button.
There s a workaround though, was seriously crossed with this too, it works for all ships, all you need to do is to switch off the ship, just press U and all the grid is available with the Atls, it will be weird as the Atls will act like the Maxlift, but if you click the box let it go and right away click again it will work as Atls, you will get the hang of it after a few.
if you switch off your ship it works 😉
Only by hand into another ship in space
Or multiple ships depending on how much you're carrying
ok, so I had refinery jobs and a stored caterpillar. I went and delivered the refinery jobs to the caterpillar. I then logged out. I log back in and now it says my caterpillar with 3 Mole loads of mining is just destroyed. I never summoned it, It was stored when I logged off.
How could my ship have been destroyed while stored??
It's a bug unfortunately sometimes a ship is destroyed during the storing process
It's quite a rare one now but does still occur occasionally
but i delivered 3 refinery jobs to it while it was stored
can you deliver refinery jobs to a destroyed ship?
i remember the first job delivered like normal, but when I went to deliver the second it showed 0/0 for the cargo space availabe
so I left ther terminal, opened it back up ,and was able to deliver like normal
maybe the cargo loading blew it up
its only super frusterating because I have been renting Moles and manually putting lasers on, and the last time I tried to mine I lost the entire thing because a mining gadget killed me when I tried to take it out of my backpack
so I lost like $500k in upgrades
and then the 3 loads I managed to get before that I just lost from another bug
i might just save up for a mole before doing any mining
SC can be pain simulator that's for sure. Sorry dude that's rough
o7... does anyone know if when buying cargo for hull C, its best to land in a hangar or will docking port do? ive bought cargo but cant seem to hail the cargo section once back in space as if i have no cargo in station?
its ok, maybe I just go spend some more time salvaging 🙂
much less risk there
i feel like mining is one of the riskier industrial professions (other than maybe commodity hauling). So many ways for it to break on each step of the process
You should be able to just use a landing pad, go to the store, buy the commodities and auto load them to the Hull C once you fly it into the loading zone.
I think the part you're having a problem on is selecting a destination for the cargo when you're buying it, so be sure to be deliberate and select your Hull C

Please report the issue with the ATLS being unable to lock onto boxes which are snapped to the cargo grid in the C2, I know it happens with other ships as well. Pretty much breaks the ATLS.
It might be any ship-grid-locked stuff. You have to pick up, drop off grid, pick up to get it to work normally
Please keep the issue council stuff to the dedicated #bug-hunt-chat and #1209672602227048458 channels
Isnt this intentional? It allows you to move the containers slowly and carefully. i.e to move them one grid over or get them out of tight spaces.
can a ROC fit in a Vulture?
👍
Possible, I don't remember seeing any patch notes or videos about it. Doesn't mean it didn't happen tho
I changed the Windows auto clock on off then the Mole laser change saved ok. Very happy now.
It would not make any sense from the standpoint of making the ATLS relevant. You can grab the boxes just fine off the cargo grid on the freight elevator and you can LOAD them onto the cargo grid (they will snap in place like normal), you just cannot unload them with the ATLS without first grabbing them with a max lift or hand held and moving them to a non cargo grid area. I have seen a video online of a ATLS unloading a C2 in 3.24 and it was working fine. So I am pretty sure this is a bug introduced with 4.0 or 4.01.
Yes you can unload them, press U in your cockpit to switch off the ship and the grid is available with your Atls...
This is a known bug
The VLM has a tendency to not work at all if your clock isn't synchronized
just love losing millions in cargo to bugs
Anyone here own a Reclaimer and can give me a rough estimate of how much you can make pr hour with it, and if its a ship you would recommend?
You can also power down the ship
Anyone got a good mole loadout they could share?
You flyin solo?
solo mostly, duo sometimes
seen ppl break 50k+ rocks and want something that can get even close to that
this is what I use for solo mole
All I can say is it's my go to ship for making bigger chunks of credits. My most favorite loop: Taking the unverified tab salvage missions that are on a timer. There is no upfront fee and there can be bigger ships like the Hammerhead and Starfarers. So I will collect 12-16 RCM and the rest CM and move on to the next ship. Bedlogging works great so no rush on cranking the crates out and selling at your leisure. Once the main floor is filled I go sell. The longer you add fresh crates the sooner some glitch might happen to ruin your day. Unloading can be a hassel so land and get them things off the ship and sold. We can do a run if you want.
Helix = power break on large rocks
Hofs = break medium/small rocks
Impact = scoop up duty, really minimizes how much inert you get
What is the biggest rock that u were able to break?
If you want to shoot for the big big rocks, you should have some gadgets on hand to reduce resistance and such. Forget which is best, but check out a youtube vid and you should be mostly good
optimax is best
I can't recall, been too long since I mined in 3.24
big rocks tho?
Idk about 50k, I don't think that is ever going to be feasible going solo
That loadout also works with 1-2 crew. 3rd laser can be kinda boring if they are only ever on clean up duty
Also a lot of folks use the Surge modules. In Pyro there are single stones with a value of over a million. (Quant, Stilleron and Ricite...)
im planing on going to pyro
I'm relearning everything in Stanton. Will probably do a tour of all the moons then get back to Pyro. I had a good Pyro experience with ROC mining...
i mean i would love to take a run, can i dm you?
Yes sure go ahead.
I just started up so not sure yet.
biggest ive broken as a solo was 41k with a helix 2 laser with a surge and 2 C3's and then a sabir gadget
In Pyro the big money rocks are over 50k
Alright so ill just slap 2 of those on it and see how much can i make
I can. I did alot of min max in comporison to vulture. If you hit a 4-6h windows in the belt you can make 600-800K an hour with salvaging as of 4.0.1
The vulture will grant you 400/h more stable.
all panel salvaging
you will hit the 700 to 800K mark in the reclaimer if you are a little bit lucky, finding a 890.
workflow: farm your way through panels, find yourself a 890, fill up that 240 internal buffer, empty it to the huge internal cargo options. fill it again with construction material. This overall is a time commitment of at least 4+ hours. if you can spend that time, the reclaimer can be interesting.
Downside: huge timecommitment, risk to not find panels or a ship, risk to f*cking fly against a rock while scanning, making a big boom, when you were not paying attention (because this elephant is really slow and chunky).
happened to me just too often lately
I bought the reclaimer for 300$ in a non official shop. Arrow was suddendly also in the CCU it seems. Would not recommend to spend any real money on that ship, as of today. Not one cent 😄
The vulture is a more stable bet in reg. of $ / h. esp. because you can invest a short hour and have that boxes ready. but for me it was just a boring game loop and the reclaimer also offers some multi crew aspect that is interesting, but not really more effective in reg. to money making. due to the split the profit and you might not be muuuuch faster if operated 2+ in one recl. only fun factor.
I also highly recommend getting a vulture/fortune and trying out duo salvaging before committing to a Reclaimer. The reclaimer performs best when it has a crew. Don't fall for the big ship trap. The solo ships perform great in their game loops with substantially less bugs/issues that may cause you to lose aUEC. @novel harness
400K/Hr Guaranteed vs 600-800k/Hr If The Stars Align
SC is more fun when it works, lmao
u probs meant to ping @cosmic oracle
You're so right, my bad, twinnington
do you own a Reclaimer?
Not anymore, I upgraded it to a Polaris
ah okay, well thoughts on this: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1it2ww6/comment/mdlgt71/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
?
is this true?
i own a reclaimer. I mainly go for CMAT, its fast to get and pays okay if ur good at cargo tetris
i make 1-1.5 mil an hour depending on what i get. I have a friend doing bounties and i go salvage them
Funnily enough, CMAT was horrible in 3.1, so I've never seen such advocacy for this method!
just fractured and disintegrated a Caterpillar ship, and got around 95-100 CM from it.. thats good money right?
not sure how much CM is worth
2.5k
so 250k for 5-10 minutes work?
tetris isnt that bad in this ship though, good space no?
im used to playing tetris in my zeus mk 2 cl, that cargo hold is fucked up
Can sometimes auto unload but the grid is too small for the whole haul
Lots of space but so little grid space
I suggest doing only 16 scu boxes. Fill the grid, make 1 layer sideways after grid and then stack on top, go from depending on space left
To unload i would go to cockpit and open all doors to get the back door open, throw 3 boxes in there and wait for it to blend one down, yeet another one down (sometimes u need 4 boxes, more = higher chance to blow up). Once ur out of boxes go to cockpit and close doors
say less, thanks!
dumb question, when your filler stations re ejecting and you get the circle instead of the scu/m on the scraper, I'm guesssing you're not actually scraping right
Idk if I understand you correctly, but you will have a message saying your buffer is full. That is when you are not getting any rmc
No when the stations are ejecting a box, you get a little spinner instead of a uscu/s gauge under the scraper percentage
I don't think it matters even if it does
sorry if this is a frequent question but how much money does prospector mining make nowadays?
400k+/hr (refined quant)
Did they nerf panels?
nah, if anything they have buffed it again. was about 5.5 scu per large panel for a while, now seems to be about 8.5.
but they seem to have changed the graphics a little. If you scrape till the panel is clean, you will spend a lot of time for very little additional material. Watch the scu/s and overall percent remaining on the panel, they will drop to almost nothing before the panel looks clean.
If the % displays for you, seems like half the time it stays blank
Is auto-loading for commodities still a thing? This person is curious: #star-citizen message
what's this mean?
hauling mission?
had the same with my hull c, if you choose "select inventory" it comes up but not as sellable, tried a few times. commodity trading works with hullc, but hauling is bugged for me
I wanna put y'all on game, I've been making 400-600k on a single trip doing trainee cargo missions in pyro
Stack like 8-12 contracts and then deliver it, usually I will take check contracts every couple minutes and take the smallest ones to maximize my space
I was doing it in a hull a, but now I'm using a freelancer, but I've been borrowing starlancers from people and getting my friends to join for bigger payout
This is because you'll get unlucky and have like 20+ scu missions and u gotta either accept them to filter them out and not complete them or just accept other missions and wait for new ones
What is the best place for mining QT atm?
Folks, today I placed all the refined material I mined throughout the week into a Freelancer MAX (yep... not too much...) and went to Area18 to sell it.
When I entered the ship, I thought it had too little crates, but that was fine.
When I arrived at the TDD, there was only a fraction of my material there.
Lost the earnings of a week... OK, it's just a game, but it's frustrating nonetheless. 😛
Yeah was gonna ask is mining in pyro better or worse than salvaging
Ive been having the same issues, my cargo dissappear ramdomly
I don't like hauling, but that is the only thing truly working for me today.
Hey, i just got the MOLE and i need some help setting it up.. a bit new to the game so any help is welcome ❤️
Yep been there. Output to ship, call ship, empty
Best to stick to bounty and hauling missions
if ur ship is empty when u call it up, store it and bring it up again sometimes they are just invisible
Almost every time for me
Very commonly the terminal misidentifies which selection is which. Even often requiring you to pick yourself. Select each option in the list until you find the correct ship capacity
Is there anything for cargo hauling between a Taurus and a c2 that isnt the sl max? I’d like an in between, but the sl max is painfully slow
A2 and M2, technically
Cant choose between Hauling and Salvage. Basically Mole or Starlancer/raft. Thoughts?
Caterpillar?
Whoops, wrong reply.
Caterpillar?
A mole would not be for hauling or salvage.
Sorry I meant mining not salvage
Do you like either gameplay more than the other?
I don’t know how easy it is to solo mining in the Mole but I know you can at least solo hauling in larger ships, it just takes longer.
I've had a lot of bugs end me in hauling.. Which is why I am considering the mole
Hows the profit 4.1? Heard they changed mining a bit
*4.0.1 you mean? (We have 4.0.2 in PTU now).
caterpillar slower and less agile than a c2 with a worse hold layout
Same experience for me in 4.0.1. Too many containers disappearing from my hold due to bugs.
It's been broken bugged too lately with the elevator, I don't know if that's been fixed. People unable to get back in. But it is another ship between the Taurus and C2. Anything else isn't really a hauler primarily, e.g., 890 Jump, Carrack, Starfarer, Reclaimer).
I'm looking forward to more freighters in the future 🤞
I'm currently using a rented Freelancer MAX, what would be the next "step" in terms of cargo capacity? Or am I shit out of luck until I get enough for a C2?
Probably the Constellation Taurus.
Technically the Zeus CL but only by a bit more cargo space, I think, and all the fun of the small cargo bay door.
Are these rentable?
Taurus is, pretty sure. Might be wrong and it's just the Andromeda.
cstone says you can rent one at New Babbage.
BIG cut into my cash, Hopefully I can profit
so reclaimer is broken big time, You fill up the depot with disintegration to 240 SCU, then when you go back to the salvage processing bay, the depot is EMPTY
and back up to the cockpit, and the depot shows empty there as well
not good
Do mole modules disappear when you claim your ship?
is there a better way to claim mining orders froms tations?
i lost about 32scu of quant just now trying to load it into a starlancer
does it need to be in a hangar before claiming or stored?
Have the ship stored and go claim your order.
Then retrieve your ship.
Often enough, it'll appear empty, it's a common bug atm. Just store it and retrieve it again until it's not.
Then you can go sell.
They shouldn't if you equipped them through the VLM
thansk so much. would explain why thigns were disappearing
now here is a change we need
FULLY agreed
please cig
give us vehicle boxes
just for a small selection
like for a roc or ursa

I still say just make the boot bigger and make bigger boxes
argo capital when
we have the RSI orion and polaris, aegis reclaimer and javelin, origin 890j
Drake Kraken
MISC Odyssey
why not just a tiny lil vehicle storage box for that lil Javelin
PYRO-MOLE MINING STILERON!/ 2 Crazy Rocks Of STILERON In 1 Cluster!/How To Properly Sell Stileron/4K
Hi Everyone! I'm going to show you today what great rocks I found on Adir moon of PYRO 5 planet, what we mine and how much we get from it in money. Also, I am explaining how to properly sell Stileron, where you have problems with creating the pr...
What is a good solo/duo MOLE loadout?
Before i waste time
anyone knows if 2 hull a's fit in the polaris? if noone has tried ill give it a go later
Looks like I got taken for a ride on trying to auto load a Refinery order to a Hull A. The ship did not spawn in the hanger so I had to claim it. Some people said the cargo would be invisible and not to worry. So the ship did spawn correctly but the spindles were closed. I opened them no sign of any cargo and I ran the tractor beam over the cargo grid nothing. Aside from maybe not using the Hull A for this is the invisible cargo a normal load in thing and what else should I be on the look out for?
What I am going to do with these top mining streamers is sometimes you can see thier loadout during the mining process. Perhaps adopt what they are using. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. This guy is top game also: https://www.youtube.com/live/-9p8QOHC7Ag?si=jxX_T3unmVlFA4w8
#starcitizen #squadron42 #starcitizengameplay #starcitizenupdate We are back baby! Star Citizen 4.0 has just entered the PREVIEW phase but also on a Persiste...
Pretty sure it does.
Two fortunes fit, two scorpius fit too
That's the change I always wanted. Also a load in box for the ATLS...
yes
pls
i mean
the raft bundled with an atls
Raft and ATLS pack
Raft and CSV-SM pack
I've been using the Hull A and the ATLS combo it's great but I can't take it with me. Might have to score a second one for my home TDD.
Thank you homie! gonna set it up rn!
appreciate it
They should let you request an ATLS at any freight elevator if you own one like a rental that's tethered to the location and despawn when you leave or cleanup of outpost/hangar
easily fit idd!
And fold it into a box which can be attached to a grid
I like that idea!
Is it worth buying an MPUV tractor right now, or is that going to have a better use in the future with base building?
Also, I'm at 'Member' rep with Covalex, will the higher ranks bump the contract payouts quite a bit? I currently have the Corsair and a RAFT. I'm saving up for a Caterpillar. Not sure if I'm already reaching a plateau with what I have or not.
I would say, it's situational, the carrack loves mpuv for example
oh yeah mpuv could work wonders along with the cat
Even in a hangar? Probably better than the ATLS since the Cat's doors don't open like a ramp.
but if you don't have a hull c or want to sly one and the same mission a few times over, member rank is peak for most reasons
yep that's the main reason, both the carrack and the cat can't send their cargo grids any lower so the mpuv would shine even in the hangar
Above Member rank you need a Hull C or equivalent? Would a Cat benefit from higher ranks than Member? Sorry, just wondering if there's a good reason to keep ranking past member or if I should focus on the current contracts and rank elsewhere. TY.
member rank is the last sweet spot for any other cargo ships of medium / large.
Experienced and up are mostly mainly for the hull c
Roger that.
Now the question is, should I get a Hull C vs the Cat 😂
I hear salvaging is getting a nerf in 4.0.2. I was going to purchase the Vulture just to have something and give it a whirl.
them "magic space boxes" // cargo boxes are a hit and miss at the moment and I rarely fly my hull c unless I do some tests first and then mainly manual (buying from commodity kiosks) rather than them contracts...
For the time being cargo hauling contracts combined with cargo boxes works haphazardly, either you get cargo or you don't maybe even to much but most of the time to little and when you offload at destination they either don't unload or they don't count everything that disappear towards the contract.
depends on the nerf, but as of 401 you get a boat load of rmc from panels (which I heard was the main focus of the nerf, because few or at least I don't bother with the cheap cmat)
Ok, good-to-know. And assuming there's about a 50% nerf to RMC, you can still make good money salvaging?
they will only try to make it more time consuming, the money is still solid and heck if you manage to have a crew with you over at pyro or with npc ship stuff over at stanton, salvage will literally come flying to you
Awesome, I appreciate the info. Super helpful.
always happy to help
Sorry, one last question. With a Vulture, solo mining, how much can you make per hour salvaging RMC? I wonder if I should drop cargo and do salvage contracts before the nerf.
I rarely do (heck I've never done) salvage contracts, but a full vulture would net about 400k
don't take to long to fill it either depending on what you do, but if you wish to "min max" income don't nom nom eat stuff with the destruction / demolition / d-word option, just use salvage beams and the vulture comes with the good one abrade as well
Not bad at all. At least it's a different loop vs cargo.
if you miss cargo hauling, I recommend mining, same money as salvage, or potentially way more if one has a notch patience (refine stuff).
But salvage is the most chill and easy way to earn a good buck while mixing it up with power wash sim
I will definitly mine at some point. I like the idea of exploring with mining in caves, out in space, etc. I bought a ROC and will look at a mining ship. I also need to learn about which materials to refine and all of that.
I mostly do the space mining with my mole (gibz arastra already, where me pledged orion at) hella fun, even easier to do than salvage, just a notch harder to find the good good stuff (if you are picky and want to gun for the top)
then the refining step (from a few hours if you don't mind cutting a notch on the profit or up to 3 days if you want the very most of what you mined.
after all that you get to haul the refined commodity's and sell it as if you bought commodity's at a kiosk
Since there's a lot of time put into it, the way you described how you mine, what would be the approximate payout for one full mining loop? It's not just about profits, but I'm curious to know each of the industrial methods and what average payout and then I can choose the game loop based off how I'm feeling. Or, if there's a ludicrous payout (legit) doing one thing, then I'd probably try that for a bit.
I checked the in-game price for a MOLE and it'll take me a while to save up. Between getting the Vulture, MOLE (which I like and it's like the RAFT but for mining), and the Cat.. I need to make some serious UEC!
now that's a fun question, since it denepds on what you mine and such, it's mostly a mixed back but say 32 scu of Taranite (one of the top 4 mining resources) can net you about 300k
so it can be quite profitable, depending on what you mine and refine, 1 scu of quantanium nets you 20k
vulture is like the prospector in that regard compared to the mole so to speak.
simplyfied salvage / mining.
the mole would make you get up and down ladders a lot.
but in the end you can get a lot of money from mining depending on what you refine and mine.
I'm digging Drake and ARGO ships, so for me I'd get the Vulture and the MOLE.
For now I'll have to run cargo loops to build up enough cash for these ships. Sounds like some fun game loops, and at a certain point I'll be able to focus on the "fun" aspects vs trying to make the most money.
both mining and salvage have their own fun mechanics
cargo hauling is also very chill and profitable
Except when your ship doesn't land in the hangar and instead goes through the floor, killing you and your pledge armor which ended up being stuck in the floor lol. But ya, I'm liking cargo. Pretty easy to do with many ships whereas salvage and mining you need speciality ships for that.
as long as we find our very own titbits to fall for in this game
Agree.
I'm having the exact same issue. Did you find a fix for this?
If anyone else can't attach their mining laser to their prospector through the vehicle manager, just call it in the hangar, unlock ports, pull up the laser and modules up through the freight elevator and attach them with multitool. lock your ports and you're good to go.
You're not. Doing so, the load out is not saved.
If you lose the ship, you'll lose everything you attached to it.
If you're doing this with a rental, I say this is a terrible idea.
And if you're doing this because your VLM refuses to save loadouts, make sure your PC clock is synchronized by checking Auto sync in your settings
I did it, I stored, I pulled, it was still there. This is not a rental.
VLM worked with all other components. It's just the mining head
But I agree, I wouldn't put any purchased components on any rentals or subscriber monthly ships, nor paints.
Same prospector I've been using for years, but now you got me worried.
Maybe I'll blow it up and see what happens.
probably lose my argo bags, but whatevs
Guess I found another glitch. On secondary breaks twice the Mole flat out died halfway through the process in the green. Beware.
Can I break this with a duo MOLE?
yes
especially now when we can finally stack modules once more
don't forget the mining gadets as well
Helix 2 with double surge works now Hostfede is great as a stable backup that opens up that narrow window, plus can add a lil more from their mod slots
MAYBE with double surge (I don't have that on my chart), but otherwise I'm going to say probably not with only two people
two helix lasers with surge and rieger on both only gets you 44k mass at 42% resistance. That's a long ways from 73k
We actually went overkill and evaporated the rock, I went with triple surge and my friend with double. We didn't explode but the rock was gone
but, does any of that take stacking into acount now that it finally is back?
Still got to get the hang of it ahah
yeah, I was just plugging those into my spreadsheet. Double surge wouldn't do it, but 2x triple would. Sounds like one triple and one double does as well
yeah that's why I thought it could be possible with 2 and a gadget
Salvage in Pyro is available at the asteroid clusters and ring of Terminus.
There's regular Salvage panels and a bunch of missions but I've not tried them yet, only panel salvaging in the Terminus Ring. Hopefully they add the ring back to Pyro IV as that will be epic views whilst working.
Note for selling the smaller stations have a very low demand. I had no issues with selling at ruin station other than the queue to dock which was, frustrating with pirates buzzing around lol.
It seems like I can only sell on the ground according to trade tools?
at least not at ruin
Must be something wrong with your query
unrelated but is there a reason behind the randomly dropping out of quantum?
This only half the page
hmm theres no prompt to go to another page
It can occur when you traverse between servers within the shard
no clue
dang rmc prices are low
Would buying a prospector/mole be a better investment
I'm happy with the return it's normally a good 300k for <30mins work
I think the save pyro missions have offset my expectations
Yeah those pay a lot more than we've enjoyed previously
Plus the Pyro bounties are a nice pay day if you like pew pew
Construction mats prices still abysmal?
I don't munch
I remember the reclaimer days where you could get millions soley from munching
Unrelated but how do hauling missions scale? I've seen missions that pay up to 20 mil
20 mil? Where you see that
I'm currently at senior rank, the highest paying mission is 711k to move 4000scu (Can do in Hull C) average pay is 330k for 400scu ish. Not got the motivation to grind to Master because each mission other than the Hull C one goes to 3 locations and with 16scu boxes take around 1hr to do.
Must be I've not seen it
Good luck doing that without getting nuked lol
It's a Jumptown style event
I tested because you had me worried. destroyed it, claimed it, still has mining laser and modules.
where's the good planet for mining again? Friend just got a mole
depends on what you're looking for: https://redmonstergaming.com/mining-cheat-sheets/
yup my friend revealed to me they have this exact sheet up and I now have to end myself out of embarassment on the internet
but thank you kindly i'll hold onto this myself!
anyone ever store an ATLS inside a ship like say the Cat and then retrieve it and have it blow up?
I've been flying from ruin station for awhile and havent found any ping poi's
Go to one of the OMs and fly into the ring
Whats the scanner number for panels
Multiple of 2k, so 8k, 10k, etc
I dont remember panels being this rare
ive been flying straight out of ruin for weeks and have never had to fly more than like 20-30k between panels. Usually its more like 10-20k apart
I've flown for 10 minutes about
and you are looking at all sigs you can see?
yes theres like 1 every 5 minutes
you flying through the middle of the asteroids?
You're probably passing too fast and missing them, ping again when you get near to get the 5 individual markers (for the 10k)
They render in quite late but you can use the ping to get pin markers at like 1000m
good news, my ship didnt blow up, but it looks like none of the cargo shows up when the atls is inside? I am going to try to remove it and see if the cargo comes back
it usually splits into individual markers between like 1800 and 2300 for me
the panels themselves are quite small until you are very close, super easy to miss if you aren't watching really closely. I keep spamming TAB so that the pings highlight the panels
Recovered some drugs from a mission, back to base, store ship, try to sell, fail, back to ship, empty. Oh well
Those were the days! I got lots of ships
I had that happen, they came back after I relogged
I usually quit for the day and try to accomplish something tommorow.
Once I hit a stupid bug, I'm done
I don't have much patience for alpha testing
@mild pumice Sorry to ping you again but where do you sell RMC at ruin station, I've always sold at orisons industrial platform but idk what the equal is at ruin
NO MORE TETRIS!! Just found my new favorite loop: mine, refine, autoload to a ship, fly to a TDD, autosell.
You solo mining?
What would yall find more profitable Vulture or doing cargo with the Taurus?
cargo if you chain missions
i cant fit enough missions of a higher tier so i can make like rn with what ive been doing ive been making like 500k ish per run
cargo easily
just feels super slow
depends on your skill level and are you hauling missions or trading
Hauling plus i am only at jr rn
trading does offer better profits under condition you dont have supply/demand issue and are brave to risk your money. So i trade as soon as i have enough money for it hauling is more of means to get money to start trading
any recommendations for me and my taurus? trading wise
Fresh Food is good if freight elevators work
well i was gonna do a Methane run i saw of sc trade tools
the further you get at one point a medium mission pays like 200k
so it becomes very easy and no risk money grinding
problem is leveling that up is slow since i can only carry 1 jr misson at once
it is! its a proper grind
but once you got it repped up its the easiest money making atm
but def take breaks
for junior what i did tho was
stacking as many missions as i could
not saure if you got small cargo
jr missions with the same destination?
cause size of cargo doesnt matter for rep, all junior missions payout the same rep
i do the same i do 1 jr and the rest of my space is the smaller ones
i am a bit under half on jr after like 3 or 4 like stacking i said above
once you reach member payout for a direct medium interstellar is 101k
takes me like 30 min to do
i watch a movie on the side
and use the taurus as well for this one
It just feels like a snails crawl lol

rule of thumb is always if you dont enjoy it
better to do something else
that fits your vibe better

thats why i wanted to try salvage but ill do alot for money
anyone who don't enjoy cargo hauling, just do mining instead
#1 mine the raw ore
#2 either sell the raw ore or refine it from in a few hours or 3 days
#3 if refined haul the refined commodities
#4 sell the refined goods for the best possible price (flyin from place to place depending on how scattered your mining collection is)
See this sounds worse then cargo in my mind. . . NO OFFENCE
which makes me hella curious about the whole refining gameplay with ships like galaxy and expanse...
(how will one profit from that and will it be more like a payer trading / beacon kinda thingy)
think to remember you can rent a vulture no? otherwise do like 10/12 phase 3 missions and you can buy a vulture
which is why I swaped over from cargo hauling (cuz at this stage Hull C / experienced and up cargo hauling is broken) over to Salvage with my trusty reclaimer
Nope cant rent vulture but i can afford it but i only wana spend money if it will help me make money
Im saying. . .
but people in here told me trading / cargo was better
a fully loaded vulture makes about 400k per load
hauling max level will outearn a vulture
whats a time frame for this?
Vulture is very nice indeed for money, shame it had to be drake
main reason I got the Fortune despite it technically being less effective
when and IF them frickin "magic space boxes of hell" aka Cargo boxes work...
no issues for me as long as i avoid the hull c
and stick to space stations

it honestly depends... if you hunt for salvage, do mish for it or go to pyro and let the frickin salvage fly to you
from minutes to hours depending on how you approach it...
Idk why to do 😭
experienced and up will only explicitly give you hull c missions
i was experienced till it got wiped due to a bug and had plenty non hull c missions?
do you love power wash simulator... then you will fall in love with salvage gameplay
Never played
that was prior to 401 maybe even 4.0
I also was experienced prior to the change
nah i was doing this like 4 days ago
doing experienced missions in my cat and in hull a
depending on how you equip your salvage beams (just heckin go with abrade modules, best middle mix to get the best of all worlds regarding salvage).
you simply scrape of paint / hull from panels / ships for that delicious tasty well payin RMC and can also get the ... (don't even recommend) cmat (construction materials) from eating up ships & panels entierly..

Well I only looked for Experienced missions from Everus and could only get hold of like 1k+ scu missions wich are beyond even the C2 with their mighty 696 scu capacity (fucking wasted space on to of all that) unless you wait for the ironclad
My head hurts
welcome to indusctrial gameplay
Ah weird! well im almost there again
and i can show you
if cig doesnt wipe my rep
that would be lit
never found a mish that had less than 1k scu for them experienced ones...
butt I did see a mish that wanted you to fill a hull C and deliver it for mere 200k
Oh @outer ridge since you used the taurus what upgrades should i biy ibe never bought any before
i just use it for hauling! so i just upgraded the quantum drive on it!
O alrighty ill seek out where to buy a good one
Oh ty
Oh also one last thing befor i get back to work if i have afull load but i need to go buy somthing do i have to sotre my ship so i dont lose the load?
DO NOT FORGET!!! to re attach the jump drive!!!
for some reason or another when swappin Qantum Drive... the ship un equips the Jump Drive
🫡
honestly... with how the game is right now...
if you have cargo, unload it to the cargo grid on the cargo lift and send it to your inventory..
if you have scu stuff in the vulture for processing, you can gamba
but cig love to wipe our ships clean off stuff
Stole this from the other main cargo legend fitzie the lizard, but for me plenty of med/large for c2's and small and extra smalls have always spawned on the upper ranks
I jjust loaded my ship full of stuff for trade but i need a tractor beam to fix it so i can fit it all
so might be something weird with your server/your hauling missions?
another example
i hate htese i dont mlike doing more then one places >: (
how oldge is this?
this is senior rank tho
yes you said experienced and up right 😮
ok i guess i justr gotta reach it and i show you my receipts
im halfway member now
but got no time this weekend, grind starts again sunday/monday
it's hella easy to rank up cargo hauling... just do like a handful and you reach member in the blink of an eye, then some more and reach the heartbreaking experienced
that's where the real carg ohauling grinde shows up
i know! i mainly haul! so i was max rank pre 4.0
but i just got a lot of irl stuff
so cant do it all the time
I did a bunch of direct planetary for microtech. Took four at once on my Hull A going to goldenrod. Made 200k on delivery. Then Took some back to tressler. Then took 3 more to another DC.
cargo hauling is easy, risk free, quick and rewarding (as long as you are in stanton that is)
I am leveling up cargo hauling in pyro just cause
You can get NPC pirates that Interdict you for large and higher
Farrister had that happen when they were showing Hull C hauling missions
don't know about npc's, I have meet twice dimwits that had a ship with such stuff, 2 or 3 at a time spamming missiles
These were definitely NPCs, since they had spaces in their names and "nicknames" :V
Three of them at once
remember that ships like my own can be called "Lady of the Night"
They shot off one of the Hull C spindles. He had to manually tractor the cargo that came off onto empty spots on the other spindles as a result.
Hull C is also the one and only ship that gets borked flying if the cargo is unevenly distributed besides that the weight of the cargo affects it's flight
All ships are meant to be affected by cargo weight. But I think the curve is too small for smaller ships right now.
not implemented yet
I'm guessing it'll come when they add cargo grid power
Maybe we'll get the Avenger Titan gold pass then.
speaking of cargo grids...
when the heck will they fix the frickin reclaimer..
Aren't the reclaimer inner grids diagonal?
it's garbage that's what it is, can't stack stuff in the salvage processing that is a multi floor place and the salvage hold don't even have cargo grids
Man, imagine if there was this big elevator that could be used to go from each level of the reclaimer.
And that it worked.
it works just fine, but it is ass to haul 2 16 scu boxes at a time
Last time I used the reclaimer, it was during like 3.18 or something. We couldn't access the actual cargo floor/area. So we only had the salvage area.
Plus, back then, it could only spit out 1 SCU Boxes
And the upper area was still walled off past a certain point. (Since they didn't expand it for the larger stuff then.)
the salvage processing has place for 10 16 scu boxes and the salvage hold beneath could theoretically hold more? (if it had cargo grids)
Haven't bothered with the cargo hold to be honest
but the heckin salvage processing should be able to hold so much mroe and stack up on one another concidering how frickin high up the ceiling is in that room
Should have the grid in the middle, so it can stack up higher. Have the foot paths to the sides
like most cargo oships
Isn't the cargo hold right below the lower salvage deck?
the "salvage hold" can't stack 8 or 16 scu boxes there, but should hold quite a few... if them cargo grids existed there
i whish there was a better thing i could upgrade on the pledge store from my taurus ( that wont break the bank)
depends on what you are after, salvage, mining, cargo hauling or cig's favorite pew pew boom bang combat murderhobo gameplay
or the more obscure refueling, towing or medical gameplay
Cargo tbh but ill take anything that will make more money then the taurus
I would recommend either the C2 or Caterpillar honestly
There not sold : (
I did most of my cargo hauling with my Carrack
The Hull B will be better at cargo than the taurus, but pledging it right now gives you a Hull A basically. The Railen gives you the taurus and a Syulen.
Yes, none of them are in game. I wish we'd get an update on the status of the Hull B.
so yeah Cat is the best option other than the C2 for cargo hauling for the time being
I wish I got my heckin Merchantman
They sadly aren't being sold until Fortuna or Foundation Festival or something. The C2 won't be at ILW
I wish i could buy it from pledge
Banu Team dispersed, so it and the Defender are on perma-hiatus until they get a new team or the current alien teams work on it.
Imagine having 19 million
Both the defender and Avenger Titan need reworks/gold pass desparately, since neither have physicalized components, which means they are at an advantage over some of the newer ships.
Oh and the nomad, but who cares about the nomad. /s
just get a Hornet mk2 like the rest and murderhobo to your hearts content
A2 is good fun
can it cargo?
to some extent, yes
I might just upgrade my taur and grind cargo 😭😭
The heckin Reclaimer, the "Salvage Hold" is jsut a garbage filler
and teh Salvage Processing is a joke
capital ships are so hot ngl
upgrades a really cheap... speaking of.. I need to get hold of someone with a 890...
they can be hella fun...
but also..
it seems like the cig devs love eve online so much that they have taken a liking ot the whole sip ramming thing.
one lil timy m50 can DESTROY a heckin Polaris
LOL
it's pretty much shit at this point...
who needs s7 guns or s10 missiles when you can just ram with a cheap ass ship to destroy capital ones
Yeah its a problem but new capital this update right
and piracy rewards most with cargo hauling, no questions asked... ther's the infamous exploit that will let you sell stuff that never disappears over at pyro system
Ive never been to pyro and i dont plan to
funny enough... pyro andthe players there treat me way better than the game and it's mechanics ever has over at stanton... or pyro for that matter
i js dont wana get Killed tbh
cig are experts at that, don't worry
Anyways thank you for your help im gonna close discord and take a nap ive been playing most of the day ty for the help!!!
good night, sleep well and have sweet dreams
Anyone recommend a good salvage load out for the vulture? Feels like the stock ones are slow
this is my loadout for my vulture
(or the upgrades I got for it)
I only miss one pip for the engines with scm and have 1 to many pips to dispence with the nav mode
Abrade are key for the salvage, the best middleground option, has decent spread and absorption so one can swiftly work on the salvage
pog in game life goal owo
i just got 3m together so still a bunch to go
it was like 28m before
so 18 is a nice change
gettin them mils are relatively easy... honestly.. especially if cargo haulin actually worked as intended. a frickin cakewalk with the hull c
i dont own a hull C, i just started and upgraded my intrepid to a zeus cl
i just got my 100k hauling projects
it's a solid start
intrepid was too small to link together jobs, with zeus i can do some more jobs at once and money goes faster
i tried a C1 before zeus got back on sale, but i dislike the tractor beam placement and the cargo grid, that could have been done way better
the zeus roof is a bit too low for 3 SCU as well, should have been made like 10 CM higher so i can move the crates in better
story of our cargo haulers lives... to many ships that could have had way better cargo grids, the C2 is not an exception from my own experience
let's not even talk about the reclaimers cargo grids
you can go run around on one in crusader showroom
did see the taurus and walked threw it
on orison
i did not see it there, i can check it again
a c2, ares ion, and an msr
i think i went to area 18 before
i'll head there next time
Area18 also has it
out on display?
I think only Orison has it on display at the crusader showroom
Oooh thanks a lot
i use this
https://www.erkul.games/live/calculator
Yes with the Mole and CIG gave me a Prospector I never owned.
I prefer this one
https://www.spviewer.eu
this one tells me cooling is red
who cares about "cooling" for now anyway
wait til Engineering drops and fricks us all over
lol
Whatever you do you can run with all coolers off, but recommendation is to run with them at minimum power. All off and your IR will spike very high.
Best you move to #flight-combat-racing if you wanna discuss loadouts more in details
mind y'all that even mining and salvage requiers loadouts
heck cargo haulin also benefit from loadouts
i was talking here because i was talking about hauling, sorry
like say stock QT drives aren't the best for cargo hauling, you could cut down costs of travel with an upgrade, should I still head over to combat & racing to talk about getting cheaper and better loadouts for industrial stuff?
If you're talking about mining lasers loadouts and QD then yeah, here is good.
When it comes to every other components, the reason for changing them is always the same.
You either wanna be stealthy to avoid eventual encounters, or survive those encounters. That's a chat for #flight-combat-racing where you'll find all the experts about it
i just want to be cheap while moving a ton
TBF the original message that started this convo simply asked about the salvage scrapper modules and someone answer with a whole loadout
power management is ass in the current state of the game (it changes shit for you weather you like it or not) so a more fleshed out loadout is better for any industrial ship to get the most out of it (have you even tried to face a hornet mk2 with a vulture... who gives a shit about loadouts then when the hornet just fuckes it up in seconds (personal experience) talking about that on a side note, don't get any funny haha ideas about entering combgat with players in any industrial ship (expections might be ships like a fully manned reclaimer)
sure engines and industrial tools only, but power will still act up and do as it wish, that don't stay consistent
so...
yes..
naturally ONLY combat and racing benefit from complete loadouts?
might as well toss out my shield gens then from my ships since I don't neither combat nor race (I still low key wanna see a hull c with full HEAVY cargo kinda race)
just dead weight anyway am I right
I find it rather presposterus that only and explicitly "Combat" and "Racing" has the solemn right to discuss complete loadouts for vehicles for this game...
I rest my case..

so cooling is not working right now?
^ for more details about how signatures and cooling works. You'll find the most detailed explanations there
cool... thank you.. now I know that I can remove the coolers as well.
naturally like you say, means fuck all less than nothing to industrial ships like mining or salvage, let alone cargo hauling.
that is why we should refrain from talking about it all, we don't need shit like that in our ships?
why the actual fuck is it tabo to talk about ship loadouts here?
What are you on about ? Who said you should remove your coolers ? Why are you making the wildest shortcuts like this ?
Ok read again
"you can run with all coolers off" (or no coolers at all yes). Not "you should". That's the part that comes after.
tell me why I can't talk about it here?
i think its more about the do not talk about loadouts then the cooler part
what does even combat or racing have to do with industry?
they are separate for a reason... no?
I have been playin this game since 2014
I know it is a known bug with the power loadouts / settings, nothing new there, why even bring it up?
oh thats right, because it would be benefit us to talk about things to mitigate it like a full loadout
Power changing without your consent are a known issue in the current state of the game, for everyone, and I fail to understand how that prevents industrial ships from having an optimized loadout for whatever play style they want.
Just do like everyone, keep reassigning power everytime it's changed.
Now tell me if I got this right, you're saying this server is ass because it implies loadouts are only meant for fight and racing ?
Like I said above, other than mining lasers/salvage scrapper modules, the reason for changing most of the other components are not to better salvage or mine, as other than the QD, rest of the components do not affect this part of the game.
It's almost always to have a better chance at surviving the unexpected encounters or avoid them.
For that, whether it is that you want to lower you signature or better know what shields to pick, #flight-combat-racing is where you'll find the most experts about how it actually works and what fits what situation. This is the reason why this channel is recommended, because it's the place where you can read all the pinned messages about that stuff and chat with experts.
Why are you being difficult like that ?
I have been trying to get my M2 back to the refinery to bring back another load and having severe QT jumping issues. So gonna try a different ship and maybe do another task until its more reliable.
What kind of issue are you having when QTing ?
i found that lowering landing gear and putting it back up sometimes fixes the QT jumps for me
Click on B nothing happens/ left click on target
Make sure you actually have power to your QD on management screen
Yes I checked that seems a full column.
kinda wild, ngl... how does one jump to the cunclussion that:
#1 I somehow think this server is ass? (Don't even know how you got to that conclussion)
#2 still don't comprehend why you wish to enforce that talking about loadouts should only be for Combat & Racing no matter what?
#3 a way to mitigate being forced to constantly fiddle with power 24/7 because of game related bugs would be to possibly mitigate it with a loadout that can let it stay consistent.
How is talking about a possible workaround for a well known bug, a prohibited topic for this chennel that has to do with industrial ship, where we actually talk about industrial ship loadouts, not for combat nor racing, but for simply power management and economy?
Still don't know where you're getting all this prohibition from
I for one would not love to manage my ships power while salvaging or mining, don't know about you tho
Odd, maybe a simple server issue ?
Tried changing server region ?
...
this one zorgh ^ this one is what its all about ^
I answered this. I don't need you to interpretate Aiedia's messages for me thanks
Looking for general purpose multirole ship for around 3 mil, considering a C1
What are some other options?
Freelancer (MAX at 4mils) or Cutlass Black
I'd go for C1, it's my personal favorite in that category
Given those options, C1 it is then
The Zeus are buyable on PTU now
This issue started last night so I backspaced to Orison and will see how my Alt performs and if okay will give my guy a ride to Cru L1 and get all the cargo out of the refinery and into station freight elevator.
Freemax good but I'm not looking for the best hauler for the buck necessarily
But damn CL is 6.8 mils
At this price no reason not to get 1.2 more mil and go for Taurus IMO
And cutty good but I'm almost never gonna have a gunner so may as well go bigger cargo instead
ES is 4.4 mils, a much more fair price
i bought Zeus CL to start hauling, since i like it more then the C1, but if you start with something small a C1 is a good stepping stone and then take the taurus like zorgh said
contradicting yourself.
like I mentioned, I don't even try to go into stuff like cooling, emissions, stealth, survival, etc..
still don't comprehend why you are so anal about talking about loadouts is only for Combat & Racing.
Wtih the exception of mining and salvage... oh right and QD..? (Why not include them, salvage and mining should be amazing for combat when you get them shields low enough right?).
you know what, I whould just @ you everytime I bring up anything related to ship / vehicle loudsouts in the Combat & Racing one, especially if I am bringing up mining and salvage explicitly because then we can go in depth to them signatures of mining and salvage, how easy of a pray one would be and how to gang a vulture in seconds ❤️
enough said, I will jsut make sure to steer of anything loudout related to that channel hence forth and make sure that if anyone ever objects or raise a question about it I will just post
shouldn't we also steer topis regarding ships in general over to that channel so that we can combine it with loadouts while we are at it?
I got about 50k aUEC and a C1 spirit, any hauling routes someone could recommend?
or is there a website where I could check routes myself?
for just spending your own money and increasing i use
https://sc-trade.tools/trade-routes?q=%257B%2522ship%2522:%2522C1%2520Spirit%2522,%2522investment%2522:5000000,%2522profitType%2522:%2522pure%2522,%2522itemTypes%2522:%255B%255D,%2522itemNames%2522:%255B%255D,%2522maxVolume%2522:1,%2522locationTypes%2522:%255B%255D,%2522locationNames%2522:%255B%2522Stanton%2522%255D,%2522locationNamesType%2522:%2522whitelist%2522,%2522factions%2522:%255B%255D%257D
^ theres uexcorp or sc trade tools
i do suggest to stick with hauling missions tho since it does not need money imput from yourself
Oh
if you can link together some drop off/pick up cargo you can earn more
It this what people were suggesting when they said hauling is decent for money?
The missions?
idk, i started with a C1 and just do the small ones
the problem with low cash and trading is that if you lose it once because of a bug you have nothing
haha yeah, always the risk
can someone tell me how much a prospector is in game?
Check ship prices on !itemfinder or erkul.games 👍
Use the website to search for any item (and where to obtain them) in-game.
Bookmark that, good sites
does https://sc-trade.tools/trade-routes take into accout auto load/unload times in addition to flight time?
i dont think it does
i think it is pure flight time
unloading takes too long both manually and auto lol
at least my cat is a huge headache to unload, takes about the same time either way. You can't really use the ATLS except to bulk move things over distance, you can't really get things in/out of the cat itself because its all raised up
i do about 8 missions all together in 1 flight round and load/unload everything myself
but i'm still kinda new to all this
so lets say I accidentally crashed my cargo ship on the edge of the hangar just outside. The wreck is still there with tons of the cargo still... but I can't use my tractor beam because its in armstice. Whats the best way to get the cargo?
oof
Called ATC, pray it gives you the hangar in the same spot, push it all into the hangar
get that tow ship and tow it in
good news, caterpillar tractors work in armstice
so wi th some creative positioning i was able to recover 9/21 16SCU boxes
sooo, could be worse
whats the best tow ship? Able to tow even large ships
SRV
The only one
But can only QT with ships S4 and smaller.
S5 ships will only get pulled a few kilometers
what is needed for a ship to not despawn in the hanger?
i friend of mine got me to hover the ship above the pad, but that only got me dropped in the hole below when the big ship despawned and the small one appeared
usually the best way to do this is to just fly the ship out of the hangar, land on an outside pad, and go back in via the elevator
Question if anyone knows, lets say player 1 and 2 are in a party together, inside player 1's hangar. Can player 2 use the freight elevator to pull in/out their own goods?
yes, i could pull up my own cargo and load it on to his ship
since we forgot to share the quests
it was more a question since i now own a ATLS but i cant fit it in my ship with the cargo, if i land outside and go in spawn the ATLS inside and then run outside to get my ship the ATLS would prob de-spawn
i hoped the ATLS came from the side elevator but sadly it did not
Is the ATLS still a death trap?
idk the part that i used it it worked decent
What is the scanning number for large minable rocks
Any value over 7,000 is a high chance of big rocks.
Tin spawns on fuego right?
What deposits do tin spawn in?
Well the ones that have the high grade ores
Tin can spawn anywhere in Pyro. There's no data on spawn rates, ore percentages and cluster sizes. All server sided data so we can't see it currently. Neither can the Dev's.
I would personally do some self exploration. Unless you want a straight answer.
Id like a point in the right directions because I cant find anything better than laranite
I havent found a single rock with any of the new minerals other than tin
I kinda wana buy the mole
you can rent one
i ment that but would it be worth it
I dunno theres like no information on pyro mining
Can you rent the caterpillar?
: (
4.0 stole my caterpillar
Ill practice with the prospector see if i like then rent moleif i do
Come to Ignis, you might have more luck there
If not, Vatra is also cool, just thick atmosphere
Is there anything else to help or is the contents of rocks just random
anyone know when they are gonna fix the hull c cargo hauling
it wouldnt let me deliver all of the cargo and i lost a whole rep lvl
Shoot for the highest signature and you'll never lose
I'm having a hard time here with math not mathing
Why does SCTrade/UEX recommend scrap over medical supplies? Looking at doing a run from Terra to XXX Location, and everything says "Do Scrap" But med supplies look like it'd be twice the profit.
supply/demand based on your ship?
Nope. Both commodities can do the same amount
Idk, I just want to actually try out a Hull-C loop, but the math ain't mathing on the websites
you could just rent it first
i rented the C1 for a couple of days to try it out, and flew the Zeus CL of a friend to see, and then upgraded my starter to the Zeus
am i doing something wrong
Look at uex > route looks good > buy goods > go to sell > demand is low > wait > someone on another server sells before I do > wait > it happens again > wait > again > fuck this
The first picture says to buy 522 SCU and you are buying 320 in the second
The station may be out of supply, takes ten minutes or so to refresh
If lots of people have the same idea then you're in my personal hell right now
You could try it and see if the rest is available
how so
after i buy it and it starts loading what should i do
sit in the galleria and wait or return to my hangar
oh cool not a single piece of cargo has been loaded
or even in my ownership
so it just took all my money and gave me nothing 👍
Try storing and retrieving the ship
Happens to me almost every time lol
Just bought my Reclaimer. Best ways to make money with it at Pyro, please?
Salvage things
The required power on the right you mean ?
It's definitely showing the optimal range on the left.
switch modes on your mining head, you're set to mine when the red icons are telling you to be in extract
iirc left alt + L click
or ig proper name would be fracture and disintegrate but get the idea
Yeh he did im not joking no
Well, how is SC right now? Any stability worth talking about?
I didn't play since before the wipe
Idk haven’t played in over a month cuz its a mess
Im excited for ironclad wanna use it for my industry stuff
Shouldn't the rock be outlined purple if that was the case ?
Oooooh any news on that?
Rumour is ILW maybe the persues too but thats just rumour and cope lol
Also how's mining everyone? Is it better?
The fortune released if you missed that
I did not and I am thoroughly disappointed
😞
Cargo hauling was broke last time I played
Mining I think was alright but pays meh
Mining pays meh??? Then learn to mine
Press F4, what does your ship look like ? Still got the bags ? Your cargo is showing 0.00/0.00
Is this pre Pyro or post?
Id rather steam roll people in pvp and do my money i have 70mil ty good sir
You're welcome. I prefer mining myself.
Where do you mine
Ive alot say pyro is good
Heard*
All over really. Pyro is really good right now: Terminus especially, but I've made money on most planets
I was wanting for mining to be the best paying job in the industrial sector. And I say that as a salvager primarily
Hmmm...I'd gladly take some of that burden off. Must be heavy carrying all that cash.
Do you use a mole?
😭
Right now, I'm using a prospector. I find it a bit more fun- its slower, but swifter... It limits my rock sizes to about 30k.... but since thats most rocks, I'm not missing much
Solo I can put 200k average. I've not grouped much for awhile: I've been a little sick so I've just been making one or two runs then logging.
it should but as we all know bugs happen
Dont bother looking at the color- look at the size. Anything under 9.9 SCU is scoopable.
I can never tell myself cos it always seems to flash yellow for me when it resolves the scan
I tought that was 10SCU true for S2 mining lasers only
Nope- its for all.
what are some tips & tricks for avoiding bugs and increasing efficiency for cargo hauling?
also is cargo hauling extremely buggy for anyone else or do I jus have a skill issue?
personaly i only do spaceport to/from station above it missions also chain them and 99% i can complete them
like what @knotty dove said, spaceport <-> station trade has typically been stable and reliable. It is the smaller planet-side locations that are problematic due to the communal freight elevators not working reliably.
I want this rock so bad
Hey
Does anyone know if there's a specific junior rank mission that gives most rep for hauling?
covalex
doing a junior mission will give you more rep than like 4-5 rookie ones but i'm not sure about specific ones within junior
i see
All jnr rank gives the same as do the other ranks, multiplying with each rank
oh okay, so its not that different missions within junior do
its that different ranks give more
rep gain for each level
rookie 50
junior 500
member 1000
experienced 2000
senior 4000
master 8000
