On the mining facilities?
Thanks for the reply crain, I'll give it another go tomorrow
Is there a way to split the containers or that gold will be there forever?
why do you need to split it?
oh, you bought a 32 at an outpost?
I thought they fixed it so you couldn't do that anymore
he bought 10x 24SCU 1 shot
the 10x SCU containers cannot be brought up, lift only takes 4x 24SCU at one go
i dont know of a way to split the container, sorry. right click does nothing i think
So uh is there a workaround or no
should I be min/maxxing for the taurus? So only 4x24 scu boxes and 2x8 scu boxes? Instead of doing that and then trying to place 14x4 scu boxes physically on top of all that
also can this be pinned because it has the zeus now updated
the drop down selection bar is bugged
go through the list of items to find the ship. normally 3rd from top down is your ship
but you know your on the right selection when you see the cargo amount
Am I able to snap 24 SCU boxes onto scrapyard elevator grids?
Well there it goes 1M on gold, thank anyway.
Yes
They gotta be straight on and not on a side angle
very weird choice CIG made with the Starlancer MAX to not have a full grid in the back
probably meant for dedicated garage?
Flip your thinking upside down. Load up the 4 scu crates first then put the larger ones on top. I find that much easier but I rarely do it. simply because it's time consuming. I just load up 2x24 and 2x32 but then since Cargo Empires dropped I've avoided trading with outposts and do station to station or city.
guess im downloading ptu
Ohhh. I don't remember how, but I am pretty sure I worked around that in the past
if your speaking about taurus like gold trading, i cant be bothered to min max, mainly because its annoying to stack the boxes on top. I normally do 4x 24SCU + 2x 8SCU and be done with that 1 trip
Are they gonna fix the issues with selling cargo, and cargo elevators?
of course they will fix. no timetable tho because it's CIG
Bruh one of the most annoying issues tho, should be put on prio
talk to CIG about it. lol
They fixing some random ass issues
So is the auto unloading feature not working?.
Just tried to sell some cargo at grim hex with my ship stored but have no option to sell at the commodity screen automatically
Nevermind I see people are having trouble also so it's not possible then
hey there, is the caterpillar worth it? or is it an outdated / unfunctional vessel?
It's a great ship for cargo, but imo the C2 is better as you can put more cargo in it and vehicles, if you wait till IAE then you can pledge it if you are planning to purchase a big ship.
hmm okay C2 it is, thank you^^

Buy low sell high, cargo elevators in mining are broken
use https://sc-trade.tools/ to find good routes
need decent cargo capacity, and starting funds for decent money.

Like on the surface of planets and stuff, there are places you can buy cargo and theres a cargo elevator that you use to get the cargo so you can load it onto your ship, sometimes those cargo elevators are bugged and stuff so you cant access ur cargo

ye, some annoying with commodity trading currently, if u completely new and wanna do cargo, you should try hauling missions

Welp managed to load cargo havent been able to dock at a station to sell
ive never rented, but i heard renting is p good

no clue, this is out my field
try asking in help chat, think more activity there

It definitely makes sense to rent, since bigger ship mean bigger profits. Most 24h rentals you can pay off in about one hour of appropriate work (i.e. rent Taurus for 120k, run 4 member hauling missions and your investment's back). One of the most common ways to start making money solo is to rent Drake Cutlass Black + ROC and go to Aberdeen to mine gems, or start hauling with Cutlass/Freelancer/Taurus.
they pulled the new rental ships so it's just the old ones we had before
Can we still rent a Hull a? I checked traveler in area 18, but just a few small ships to rent
No, all the ships they made available to rent in 3.24 have been removed in 3.24.2
Bleh
Is there a way to tell which cargo elevators are broken
My mission glitched and now i'm stuck with 24SCUs of Quartz, can I sell it?
Cargo Hauling? It's paper weight now. I fell victim to that so many times
so I can't sell it as a commodity?
If its from a hauling contract, I dont think you can. I am not sure though
Afaik only at no-question-asked terminals, for a reduced price. Honestly it's better to just dump it, it's pretty much worthless.
Btw does anyone know if the breaking outpost elevators are fixed in PTU?
no auto-load, broken elevator, removed the 3.24 rentable ships..
Well, CIG wan'ts us to stop joking with cargo boxes to switch for torpedoes and the Polaris
what should i upgrade to from the c1?
are the max stock values on SC trade tools accurate because it seems the beryl to orison runs are dead
just load it up and dump it into space
What do you trade for station to station/city to city? How do you know what routes to do
Sc trade tools shows some decent ones I think
Any recommendation about fitting my argo raft please ? I'm thinking about using it to station to station or mining to station ?
some Polaris cargo grid observations, best way to load up is 24scu boxes as this makes the best use of the grid, you can use 32s and 16s but it will be the same amount of boxes so you might as well just use 24x24 to get your 576scu 🙂
also station auto loading (when stored) does not seem to be working (at least at Orison) it shows the Polaris as not being a valid inventory - going to see if I can do anything at an LEO (if it will let me dock) 🙂
Other ships were showing as valid inventory so I don't think it was just a server issue
known bug, drop down bar is not working. need select through the list to find the right ship
what list?
Other ships seem to work in the drop down just not the Polaris (and the new Starlancer) although the latter shows up if I select my own inventory
The red message is gone since I relogged but still does not show a grid for loading or buying, I've contributed to the IC already so seems to be a known issue
Also on another note, scrap yards do not trade scrap, this made me giggle
I was hoping to sell the scrap from my Polaris somewhere that I loaded manually but I guess I'm SOL
Do you mean in mobi @ocean compass ?
the drop down is working it just doesn't show the grid when selected:
C1 for example shows the grid (obv empty as it contains no cargo)
auto loading for the Starlancer worked when I selected myself as the invetory lol
I will run helium from Seraphim to Pyro Gateway or Baijini, Hephaestanite from Pyro or Tera Gateways or Bajini to any of the cities. NB is usually the highest buy price for Heph but the length of the journey outweighs the slightly higher price for me. Lorville is the next best then iirc Orison. If you run to Orison you can then pick up Helium again at Seraphim. Helium isn't a huge profit but I look at it as fuel money with a bit left over.
What kind of profit are you looking at there?
It all depends on what ship you're using. A Raft of Heph about 50k or a C2 around 250-270k. These are rough recollections from my old brain. Buying Heph at a gateway and selling at Lorville gets you about 400uec/scu. Once again from memory.
It's not gold profit margins but the runs don't rely on outpost elevators working. The only issue I've had is occasionally the elevators at Pyro don't come to your hangar. Samller profits but a much quicker route is Heph from Baijini to A18.
Loading a Hull C is confusing, some hauling missions the space stations will have the Cargo communications where you can use the green box and auto load method however other hauling missions won’t have that at all and you’d have to cancel the mission bc you can’t load the Hull C, Does anyone know what specific missions work or if it’s just random?
Ik the Hull C has been really buggy since release but I’m just trying to make the best with it lol Ik I can buy and sell but I don’t have much rn lol I’d make more doing hauling missions
Yea when I sell cargo in my vulture I always have to select my user name in the drop down for the vulture cargo grid to appear 😭
Very strange! Do you get paid? I sold scrap in the Starlancer it gave me 3k instead of 35k lol
Taxes I guess
Yea I’ve never had a problem with not getting the funds I’m owed, that is also very strange if it was me that got ripped off like that I’d be hella mad 😂
Also, can anyone tell me how to take big crates off of the carrack, or is it impossible?
So for a hauling ship which do you think is better, the Taurus or the Starlancer max?
Taurus
Starlancer is cool and practical if you want to carry a ground vehicle as well as cargo (medical rover for example) as well as ample space for an ATLS. The Taurus is still a solid ship though so I'd say it's down to personal preference or if you need the extra space
You can easily get 300scu in the Starlancer without a ground vehicle
What's the name of the medical rover?
Good to know. And both will probably be solo capable as long as I avoid combat.
Dream would be the Hull B but I don’t see CIG making that any time soon
URSA Medivac
Yeah be good to see the Hull B at some point, I'll definitely grab a CCU at IAE this year.
The only downsides with the Starlancer are the lack of a Tractor Beam and potentially wasted space, I'm thinking drone Bay or something would have been cool. The living space is excellent however.
Yah if the rear cargo bay had more cargo grid stuff so you could choose weather to store vehicles or more cargo that would have been great
Starlancer gives you very little clearance when loading/unloading from the rear. Go a bee's dick too high and the cargo glitches into the SL. You also load the rear and sides of the ship so there really isn't an easy loading position to get into like there is with the Taurus for example.
I prefer starlancer since it’s easier to load in my experience/can take more large crates. You could pretty easily fit 8 32scu containers which is a pretty decent amount for the loading time it’d take (2 would be off grid btw) and people have been able to squish 420scu total of cargo into it
The Taurus’s cargo bay I always found a bit annoying to load but may just be personal preference
Think I’ll have to do the Starlancer. Just waiting the 3.24.3 to go live and then I’ll apply the ccu I own
Seems to be a problem with most cargo ships. Getting the top outside boxes into a c2 sucks also, they jam on the angled ceiling way to easy
Definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the Starlancer.
In the mean time I should use my Taurus to grind out rep, so I can get better paying missions than what I get doing junior missions
Can’t wait to get my starlancer
Life’s been hard since they deleted my c2
And nerfed salvage free drugs
when will it be realeased ?
Just saw a video about it, the player said it was THE best startrucker and polyvalent ship for pve except combat
IAE, people say 22nd
I think when 3.24.3 goes live but we shall see
Its in the PTU right now if you want to test it
Ty !
I've been playing around with the Starlancer Max and as a cargo hauler I wouldn't recommend it. You have three places to load cargo, midships on both sides and the rear. There is no efficient parking that allows you easy access to all 3 places you need to load cargo.
Loading the rear can be frustrating especially if you use 32scu crates. Go just a little too high and it glitches into the ship and a little too low and it jumps around. This is an issue because CIG decided to design yet another "cargo" ship with tight margins for loading cargo. Loading on the grid is somewhat easier than off grid because once you manage to get the 32 inside the rear it will snap.
Loading the cargo bay (sides with 32's) requires you to load the first box almost all the way to the front of the grid and then move it backwards. You can't just load or unload from the rear grid with 32's.
The non-cargo areas are great. Lots of room to roam around with plenty of space in areas to swing a cat. Unfortunately all this generous space didn't make it's way to the cargo area of the ship. A bit confusing as it is a cargo vessel.
Thanks for this!
tbf idk why they didnt just make the rear cargo grid cover the entire place
I agree. I was going to mention that in my post but it was getting too long. My starlancer max is for the melting pot or upgrade path.
thats what i mean, selection from the dropdown bar is wrong
must select thru to find the right ship with right cargo sizes
normally if its the only ship on that station, its 3rd from top, in the dropdown list, usually myself
not mobi glass, the commodity terminal
So you're saying the name shown does not actually correspond to the ship selection? Sorry I'm desperately trying to understand what you mean!
correct. But even when you do find the one that corresponds to your ship, there's a decent chance it will take your money and not give you your cargo.
Gotcha! Nasty bug that!
yeah
Did they fix the c2 landing gear/ramp issue?
Anyone play 4.0 know if it's fixed lol
how does the hull c stack against the c2?
When even is 4.0
I like the look of it tho so I'll keep mine until a pledge ship with larger cargo capacity comes
Possibly end of the year
Most likely next year
It's in EVO right now I believe
Should be the next PTU after 3.24.3 later this month
Yeah lol I hope it isn’t something major tho
They need to fix bugs more I swear, but kinda hard if u gonna add more stuff which breaks more stuff
Mine has been fixed at Orison since 2 days ago.
serves different purpose. C2 is more general, can use for various activities, while Hull C is meant for cargo hauling only.
C2 only has 696 SCU vs Hull C 4096
C2 can use hangars etc, Hull C requires space loading.
im hoping we aint getting a ship wipe
Hello, has anyone here compiled an spreadsheet, or other document of the contracts available for hauling?
For the "Elite" level in the Vaughn mission offerings I kept records of each attempt's results. It all took some 2 months. So I had 4 catagories from each mission which were kills/completions, they shot me down, prison terms, and abandoned missions typically by a CTD. This is the last level before the very top tier. Here's what happened: 21 KILLS, 2 PRISON TERMS, 5 SHOOT DOWNS BY THE ENEMY AND 6 ABANDONDED MISSIONS.
hey, everyone remembers the jumptown events I presume... but with changes to the cargo system, is it still feasible to sell the drugs?
so, same sites as previously but rob them? or go to bunkers and loot it there?
Bunkers and bounties, you can't get anything from drug labs now
thank you^^
My old standby was hauling Beryl but I haven't tried it in a few months.
Laranite's pretty good, topped perhaps by Agricium. It makes sense to check if you're willing to travel to another planet, the margins when trading between different planets can make it worth sometime (i.e. Beryl on mT locally makes a profit of ~330/SCU, but haul it from there to Orison and you get to 500/SCU)
I personnally haven't had any issues you've mentioned but it may just be either personal preference and or better luck with servers. My prefered method for loading/unloading is to position the crates around appropriately with atls (so 2 32 scu crates on each side and 4 at rear) and from there moving into the starlancer with the hand tractor since it allows a bit more precision. Easiest way to make sure they don't hit is to walk them on. With some angling you can load the back of the middle cargo bay directly without that bit of jenga you mentioned. If you get a second person like it would thoretically have then you can have one in atlas, one loading in crates and makes it super quick (For unloading just reverse my loading method) Gets in 8 32 scu crates in in about 2 min, and out in about the same time
Hm, that's very decent, probably best for these volumes if you don't consider gold (which is constantly broken). Beryl will yield less, its main advantage is much higher supply volume.
Yep or selling drugs from bounties
You got everything right
Except one thing
Easy 466k, not really 300
You just need 2/3 run to understand the way of money..
Ok I finally tried out the Atlas. And you guys were right. Way better than the Taurus ship mounted beam
Correction here, I have started to notice that sticking that you mentioned, it only seems to be happening with the new style commodity crates, so the ones that are old still play with it normal
how does buyoing stuff work now? you buy the item, select crate size, wait the stated time and it pops in your ship ?
If your ship is stored yes. So in cities and stations.
Anywhere else, same thing, but you buy in the local inventory, then load the ship from the freight elevator
ty, new cloaking tech on the cargo? ship looks very empty lol
don't buy 32 scu crates at outposts on moons. They don't fit on the elevator. There was supposed to be a fix to prevent them from offering 32's but I haven't tried it myself.
bought 32scu from a station, waited the time while i made a drink went to ship, ship is empty, no sign of the cargo
Outpost won't let you buy them anyway
They removed the ability to buy big boxes where they can't be handled
I thought they had fised it but wasn't sure
be nice if the station terms didnt if you never get it on the ship 😛
yeap
landed, stored, ran to term, bought goods, went to make a drink, come back, go to hanger, call ship, ship is empty
Auto load/unload has been hit or miss for me so I just manually load for now. Others have had success.
There is a post or two on here somewhere that suggests that you go through the list of ships at the station until you find the one that has the cargo grid of the ship you want to load up. Apparently it isn't always the one you think it is.
still amuses me they cant keep the basics working
Cargo Empires is this patch. Auto loading is a mess and outpost elevators weren't working. The only people building an empire were the stations and outposts.
indeed, not to worry, itys just pixels at the end of the day
true indeed
SNAFU
WTF is a star lancer?
New ship
Big ass and inefficient cargo ship variant or big ass and mid firepower gunship variant
What are the better choices out there?
8 32 scu crates in a load fairly easily loaded (when everything is working as it should) isn't for everyone I spose
Cargo, Taurus, Galaxy, maybe the reworked 600iE, and more.
Gunship, Hammerhead, maybe Redeemer too, in a way. Perseus also seems like a viable option. TAC is weird IMO, can't see a purpose for that ship yet
What about the Andromeda for something in between?
For a gunship kind of thing, that works yeah.
Most of the firepower on pilot tho, significantly less on turrets compared to the others
For cargo it's quite limited, 96 SCU is nothing crazy
Gotcha. I might want to dabble with Vaughn missions in the future too. What's the best for those? And what's the best on a budget as well if you don't mind. Something that's fun for a crew of 2-3 people.
For now, Taurus
It's an excellent solo/duo ship, but there won't be much to do for a 3rd person.
Until engineering. Then there will be plenty
It's also the cheapest of everything I named above
How's the Hammerhead's cargo size? Is it too much for a duo?
HH cargo kinda sucks, about 40-44 SCUs, and certainly not a ship for a duo
Needs at least 4 people to be somewhat useful, good with 6, full capacity with 8/9 (pilot + 6 turrets + one/two engineers)
Oh thought it had more from the size. Taurus really does look like it's the best all rounder right now
Right now, totally is yeah
Oh first time seeing the galaxy and it's a giant Zeus which I like the aesthetics off. Is it as capable as the Taurus in terms of firepower?
Nvm. It's in concept
It's less combat oriented than Connies, but can defend itself if properly manned.
Move to #ccu-and-fleet-advice if you want to discuss ships in more details
Thanks as always man
Anyone know if the cargo from Save Stanton Cargo Recovery can fit in a CB?
No it can't, Other Barry. No it can't.
Anyone else trading other commodites other than gold? What's the most unborkable commodity right now?
nothing is as valuable as gold trading, per scu basis wise. however things like beryl / laranie makes up for it in volume, worth it from a C2 size onwards
hull C usually trades in hydrogen / helium
at least to my understanding
think beryl trading is like 400-500k profit per full C2
there's places selling beryl that no one goes to, easily can find working elevators at those non-popular mining outposts
Hull C is space station only
How many 32 scu boxes will the star runner fit?
check pins for cargo layout.
How about off-grid?
that, i have no idea sorry. maybe try searching on youtube, im sure some youtuber will have tested cargo for the ship
Roger. Thanks.
SOmone please explain how this is a rookie mission and whats with the numbers? im new to hauling and i did one mission with my nomad but 100+scu really? 14k pay? really? its like mowing 5 lawns IRL for 15$
yeah...volume of cargo doesnt correlate to pay
usually # of destinations correlate to pay
later on there will be small jobs but to like 3 locations paying up to 71k
like 3-4SCU at each locations. thats the way this game is
i dont ever bother with those large quantity job unless i'm trying to fill up my ship after i've already taken small jobs
small tip for new players starting out - look for those 1 location small jobs Direct Planetary jobs, around 13k
i run a taurus at crusader, i usually like to take those direct planetary jobs from Seraphim to Orison (august spaceport), can stack like 7-9 of those jobs
bruh i accepted the mission because it said MAX 8SCU and then the mission after accepting said oh here we lied and its now 109scu
ah thats max 8 SCU box SIZES
so you would expect to see 109 / 8scu boxes 😛
nearly 14 of those 8 SCU box
icic its easier to understand now thank you
14k pay still is dirt cheap even doing it in one run imo
pretty much aye
maybe 24k would be bare min.. using a c2 would cost 2k in just fuel
i find it much more profitable taking those 10+ scu boxes, 1 locations then stack like 7
nearly 100k for 1 trip
that is if i have no time. if got time, its actually worth planning a route with multiple locations, i've seen up to 71k for 1x delivery to 3 locations
so accepting 3 missions picking up from one location and dropping off at 3 others?
something like this, shown by another player i know
member level missions
this is an example of me stacking 7 missions from seraphim to august (orison)
Rookie rank means (in theory) a lower payout. Direct means just going from A to B. Medium indicates the actual amount of cargo. And of course the 8 SCU max size is useful info for cargo planning. (AKA figuring out if you can take the whole load in one trip in your ship, with help from the cargo grid layout pictures pinned here.)
Ever tried Bexalite? From SC Trades looks like it sells more than gold, currently.
Is there a way to target only cargo with ship tractor beam?
I keep accidentally grabbing the ship and then it floats off
Cargo is life
It's sold only at Magnus gateway, which is suuuuper far away from everywhere, and the stockpile is really small (~10scu)
Is Grim Hex terminal still broken? Or what do I miss here. Can't sell even for 0 auec. End up failing
bexalite is terrible for trading because low volume. i actually consider it similar profit margins to gold, but gold has way bigger volume. bexalite volume is like 10
Try cru l4 or l5
Grims been shit lately
Maxliff if its in parts
But intact probably not unless you nudge it which you can die from
https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1fl41r2/good_money_an_indepth_guide_for_making_hauling/
look at this post on Reddit, he gives a good explanation of how things work
If comm array is up and you hit it once and it tells you friendly or something then yeh you’d get a crimestat
If it has no shields, then Argo SRV can drag it off (and outside of armistice, where it can be salvaged)
What is the best thing to trade?
have a look on sc trade tools
Took a cargo mission. Put all the boxes on cargo lift. loaded them all on ship, double checked lift before I left. delivered. Says Im 4scu short. Go back. see 4scu left, but its in my personal inv. Station wont take the 4scu and count towards mission. Any work around?
maybe bring it back up and put on again then send down again? idk
Ya. tried that a few times. lol. It just completed with the missing 4 scu. I dont even know if I got paid.
you should have gotten paid, maybe a slightly reduced amount, but not dramatically.
With the cargo missions even if the stuff got delivered it's showing as red for me, do i still get rep and money for it?
I don't know the exact breakdown, but I know I have delivered part of a mission (more than half), and gotten at least some money and rep for it. I don't know if it was all of it, or a percentage based on how much of the mission was completed.
you have to click the submit button to accept whatever you have done as all that you are going to do and hope it's enough (assuming there is a cutoff where it's not enough)
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain and help me understand. Much encouragments and love sent you way :)🤗
Perfect information thank you so very much! Many hugs and encouragments sent you way 🤗 🙂
IQ 130 easy. Perfection. Thank you.
Can you make a a lot with good rep
Taking contracts 1 at a time nah but chain a few together going to the same place and you'll get a bit more for your time
One way to speed up the contract selection process is to know how to differentiate the contract title
unfortunately this falls apart when you get to senior rank. All the missions are "medium" size (300-400 SCU), so even with a C2 it's tricky to stack more than one at a time, and most of them are 3-4 drop off locations. Pay 90-120k for all that. Profitability of hauling missions basically cut to 1/3 or less of what it was per hour at experienced rank.
They really missed on the payout for the large SCU missions I think.
I lost the will with the senior rank, done about 30 missions and was less than half the bar of rep, they run well in the Caterpillar though. I thought there's no point grinding further as we'll likely get a wipe at 4.0 anyway
should have just manually submitted. go into mobi -> contract -> accepted, find that mission and press the Submit button. missions can still be submitted as long as minimum 25% delivery target met
they could improve the contracts screen, for example, it is not necessary for it to change the tab every time you accept a new contract
i have yet to reach that rank, those senior rank missions are just added on to what your already seeing right?
anyway i really think they overdefined medium rank SCU counts
300-400 is not medium at all imo, 100-200 is medium
there's only so many ships that can hold 300-400 scu of cargo
and those are NOT medium freight
also they need to up the payouts a lot to even get us to consider doing those larger hauling missions. payout is so much lesser compared to taking smaller sized missions and stacking them
Terminal says that my C1 is a medium freight and i can hold 64 SCUs officially! 😆
bro thats a light, u getting scammed
I’m happily scammed because I LOVE IT
Let's go on strike and not do any more hauling missions until they pay us more
Preach
20 min load and unload for 12k
Or what would do me is a better hauling ui or terminal
So you can find all deliveries going to the same place easier
idk if im into cargo takes along time to load n unload
is there a better way to unload n load cargo
So I heard that some of the cargo still automatically loads in your ship. Is that true? I'm not messed with the new cargo changes yet.
Also, are the new cargo missions worth the time? If only some are then which ones?
Oh, just saw the complaints above about what I was asking in that second question. I guess that means the cargo mission aren't worth it.
Yeah, that's medium ... but it's the middle of an exponential curve. 😉 However, from what I'm learning, it's now way too much work to load the big cargo ships at least at the moment.
I really dislike the MM and cargo changes to SC! Those two changes have really impacted my interest in playing. Personal hangers is nice, but not nice enough to offset those.
Can I sell missiles? Or is there another way to get rid of all these rattlers cluttering up my inventory
Yes you can
With absolutely zero profit, but you can free your inventory space
cool
The only problem with these multiple locations is if one of them is bugged and wont open the hangar doors, that's your entire payout washed
Unless you're stupid like me and take them 1 by 1 through the lobby and down the elevator into the hangar
(Not worth)
make the right decision. avoid well known mining outposts/ scrap yards for multidestination
You can also load them into 8scu crates and chuck them, or just call them up on a freight elevator and toss them out onto the hangar. I ended up doing a combination of both
or just wait for the next patch. I believe they count as ammo, so they should go away then.
They don’t, they usually persist between like ship components in my experience
Weird, I had a bunch and lost them at some point then, must have been a bug
Can you bring up the ATLS via freight elevator? Or do I have to manually walk the thing outside of the hangar elevators and then retrieve another ship
Hi guys
Does anyone know if the hull c is able to dock atm
Been in about 15 servers in the last few days and none of them let me dock but some of the cargo transfer has been working
Does the c2 have a tractor beam?
It doesn't
No vehicle in freight elevator
Yet
Docking is bugged. Not just Hull C
ATLS has been wonky for me. I can't seem to hold any boxes in the ship but I can from outside the ship's cargo or from the freight elevators
If I wanted just a manageable-size cargo ship that's easy to load and unload, how's the Hull A these days? Is the exterior loading simpler than fitting things inside something like a C1?
It's easy for sure, but the fact that both sides need loading means that neither are usually perfectly positioned.
Rent it out at IAE and try it!
I started recently and tested a few ships, but I'm loving the Hull A for its practicality in loading, in addition to being able to separate the loads for different destinations, simply loading on the other side.
when loaded, it becomes heavier to turn, but I think that was the idea
Yah I have a hull A I grinder for in game and it’s really fun now with the self loading. Makes me really want the Hull B to be made soon😅
Thanks all. I was also considering building up to a Hull B and using the loaner A in the meantime. Renting it is a great idea too.
I've been having a good time with the Nomad but I might use it as a chain base to some slightly larger cargo ship and keep my Titan as my practical/light combat ship. The Nomad is fun though. 🤔
What's gold trading like right now? Any money losing bugs?
Planning on doing a bit more cargo trading
I'm looking at getting either the freelancer or the c1 spirit for my cargo hauler, which one would you guys say is better?
self loading?
As in use cargo elevator to bring cargo to hangar and then a tractor beam to put everything onto the cargo grids
ship has built in tractor turret?
It does not. The hand tractor beam is just fine to load the ship with
Does the carrack's front ramp area have a snap to cargo grid?
am i the only one who cant select there ship on the trading kiosk
no, sometimes you have to select something else. try different things till it shows the right cargo volume. And then hope it doesn't take your money without loading any cargo in your ship. Manual loading is much more reliable...
No, only grid in the cargo pods
Where can I sell 32SCU boxes of Weevil Eggs?
Am I able to sell this or is it still fucked?
what a waste 😦 but thats the way it is
So I finished a hauling contract by delivering 6 SCUs to cargo elevator at Dunlow and sending it down and I get this in the history. It says I completed and yet it say I delivered 0/6 SCUs. That's confusing to me.
Disregard the first time I abandoned the contract.
So was the contract truly successful and the message is just confusing?
Wow! That's a bummer! So it's a game bug right now that you can't sell any 32 SCU containers of anything?
Well I guess you can store them in your hanger right now right?
Most likely.
I destroyed one of my ships in my hanger several days ago and I still have that ship's wreckage in my hanger. Wonder how I can get rid of it.
It's not causing any problems, but it's quite persistent.
Could I tractor it out of the hanger with one of the other ships? I can't remember if it's salvageable if complete destroyed.
I've never tried salvaging inside a hanger. Doubt that works.
If I’m correct, wasn’t the solution from CIG for selling these was they could be sold in Pyro once that came out?
I used a tractor beam and pushed them through the roof access and outside lol
They will just kinda stay there from my experience until removed from the hanger
they are prolly gonna wipe all 32scu weeveils by then tbh
worth it to do any upgrades to the c2?
think you still get paid, ive had this visual bug as well but still says completed even though the numbers are off. and still got the money.
c2 is a great ship but unfortunately, its nose heavy for landing and a pain on uneven surfaces.
Suggest getting some #ccu-advice-and-resources #ccu-and-fleet-advice so u font pay full price and get a 30% discount.
other advice is having a consistant crew mate for the c2
Good. I assumed that would probably work, but hadn't tried it yet. Will be interesting to see if a tractor beam goes that far in the biggest hanger. I sure I could fly a ship up half way and make it work if not.
the best cargo ship is the polaris
Hey. What are you doing with all that contraband? let me take it off your hands
Is it possible to sell UNCUT Slam at Drug Terminals in current LIVE patch?
So what SCU size does trading come in with?
Anyone know? Not talking about normal SLAM but UNCUT Slam
I think I was able to sell some couple days ago
Sold it at Brio's
ty
Were they the small boxes from bunkers?
Hey guys, i saw some video showing the Hull C autoloading feature working, does it still work or it's broken rn ?
@junior berry it works when it wants to, mostly server health dependent but other factors like damaged spidles can cause issues
You have to a) be lucky docking works b) get lucky ATC works and C) get lucky it starts to load then get lucky it all works the other end lol.
I got more success with hauling missions because once you've launched you don't need to worry about docking again
oh alr ty, guess i will try later when the whole think is more stable
Seems likely. 3/8 SCU x 110k = 41k
Yeah, they mistook the 1/8 SCU boxes for 1scu
what place buys RMC
cities, it's sold at TDD instead of admin like CMAT
Yes
Can you explain?
I sold 1 small box of maze and i got 100k..
Sounds like you got confused or misread something.
These below are the box sizes you can find in bounties cargo, or hauling contracts...
From 1 SCU to 32.
1 SCU of weevil sells for about 110k aUEC
But in bunkers, the boxes you find, that you can hold in your hands, are ⅛ of an SCU. So worth 8 times less per box. Value per volume stays the same ofc
1/8scu of maze is worth like 14k. Found that out camping drug yards
The only ⅛ boxes I care about are the gem ones.
16-30k per box.
I pick them up during Secure confidential material missions, makes up for a good bonus when there's like 6-10 of em
Never bothered with em, too many small boxes for me to care and I just grab the one for the mission and go
I take them while waiting for the mission one so 🤷
When you have three codes to find, there's a lot of good boxes that come before them
So 1 scu is 8 handboxes if i am correct?
Ty
When foxyloxy tried it it worked
So i boughht commodities at a outpost, auto loaded, terms there show the stuff on my ship, but when i go to a tdd im unable to see it, am i being an idiot or is star citizen just doing star citizen things?
You might just half to unload to your freight elevator and sell from there. But lately I have not been able to sell from my warehouse at Orison and take my RMC to Area 18.
thats the thing, my ship looks empty when im in it
Yet here it shows
How did you buy the original cargo?
did a hauling misson, picked up the above at the outpost just to see how it worked as ive not played for months, used the auto load feature, went to make a cuppa, let the dog out, came back, ship looked empty, figured it was bugged etc, logged on today and while at a term i saw the above
These are standard cargo products that should be sold at a TDD.
The two products are under the "Cannot sell" tab. Sorry there is something wrong and someone else will have to look at this issue.
yeap and i wasnt trying to sell them there
You said you bought commodities, but you said you picked up the cargo in the pic in a hauling mission. Which one of those is it ?
You don't buy the cargo you get from hauling contracts, you just deliver it
sigh
i took a hauling misson, dropped it off
picked up the commodities
they do not show in the ship physically
they do not show at a tdd
yet they show where i cant sell them
Hauling missions are physical cargo moving, you must retrieve it from and deliver to a freight elevator
lol yes i know
hence why i said i did one, after i did it i picked up the commodities
You don't collect Hauling mission cargo from TDD?
i know
OK I'm confused with that your issue is then.
i did a hauling missons, loaded goods, went to outpost, unloaded them, after that i figured id buy commodities to sell at the tdd
If I read this right, you selected the Auto load method while at an outpost ? My guess would be that the cargo was never in your ship
Ah so nothing to do with the hauling mission then, you're commodity trading?
This, not sure why you talk about hauling contracts in the first place if it has nothing to do with it
nope nothing, never said it was at any stage
¯_(ツ)_/¯
So what about this @quiet night ?
You can't autoload from outposts you need to physically retrieve the cargo
The view is bugged. Your ship is one above what you select. Try other lines in the list till you see it.
@quiet night To be clear for you. The fact that you had a hauling contract at the place you bought cargo has nothing to do with the missing cargo. Just in case you were wondering that.
As @spare cloud said auto load is only available at places where you can store your ship. At all other places you have to load your cargo yourself. If you selected auto load then it just didn't happen and your ship was empty.
Two things that are annoying and/or confusing about this.
First - Outposts should not have an option available to auto load. It is definitely not available so it shouldn't be offered.
Second - Why in the hell is a TDD showing cargo that doesn't exist in the ship? I'm not asking you just pointing this out as obviously this is a major contributor to confusion.
Lastly there might be a slight chance that your cargo is still stored at the outpost. It might well be worth going back and checking at the cargo elevator.
My brain melted reading this chat about hauling then missing cargo 😭
Has anyone else the issue that the C2 jumps around in the hangar as soon as the rear ramp is deployed? (and the front ramp is in the air)
It's a thing. Patch notes indicated it might be fixed in .3
ty, do you know when .3 is going live?
some time between now and the beginning of IAE on the 22nd
Hi guys, looking for someone to make the 184k cargo misión
Try #looking-for-session instead 👍
How do you sell at Brio with the new elevators? does brio have freight elevators to sell cargo? or does it take ship cargo grid?
freight elevator
Big flat red area with a tower next to it.
Doesn't look that big from the sky tho
closest thing i can find without tormenting myself by opening the game and spending 30 mins just for a picture
Yeah kinda figured it out by myself, thanks everytone
Man selling there is scary with that added lenght
also opens up more chances for me to explore peoples cargo
500k in eggs well made tho
Is selling weevil eggs a matter of server hopping until somewhere like Brio has a working elevator?
Yup
Got it to work after a couple of relogs. Thanks!
How does one actually hop servers? Does it take you to a different shard every relog?
You change server !region like shown below
Ah. Is there a way to change shard but stay int he same region?
You don't care switching region, you barely feel high ping in SC outside of PvP and mining
Just switch
Oh wow. Ok good to know
so I started doing some hauling contracts (yes, I know Zeus ES isn't ideal, but a CCU chain to CL is in the works) and I'm wondering, isn't it better to take a few small cargo contracts for the same route instead of one medium?
is there any way to quick transfere items from station/city cargo to a cargo box or do i need to drag and drop everything ?
There's the move all button, but it might only work one way if you only want to move some items and not all
well it tries to move it into my personall inventory
Do it at a freight terminal
since it tires to move the items right to left and opposite
since the cargo rework you can not have the box inv open and accesing the local inv at the same time
that just spawns a empty box and a lot of stuff on the ground
Move elevator down
Drag a box on the elevator
Double click the box
Drag stuff into it
Or even better
Click every single think you wanna move and move everything at once
ohh
oke
i did not think i could be able to open the box in this menu
thank you so much
This does not work
i love me shitty implementation
...
Elevator is down
Box on the Elevator
Double click the box
Drag stuff in
Go out of the box
And pull the Elevator up
it does not put the things phisically into the box
the UI shows that they are there
when i pull it out and open it its empty
but when i do the drag and drop from the old inv screeen it works
same goes for unloading the boxes
when i do it with the system you said it does not remove the items form the box to the local inv
Hello there, i got a Lancer MAX as a loaner for my Starlancer. There’s something like an invisible box blocking my cargo bay, preventing me from fully loading it. Noticed also that the left components doors are stuck open. Someone had the same problem?
Would anyone recommend a good place to live for doing cargo hauling. Can’t stand waking up in Area 18 takes forever to get to the ship.
Move up to Baijini and transfer your imprint there as well. Or any other space station for that matter.
You have to send the elevator up when you are done to make it stick. Same guess for pulling stuff out of a box in my experience.
it does not work
I put a empty container into the left slot of the UI
opened it with double click
Try 1:
I selected move all
Closed the box in the UI
Move the elevator up
Opened the box inv with F
It was empty
Try 2
I moved the box back to local inv
I checked it was there with the inv terminal near hangar entrance
I pulled the box to the left UI of the cargo terminal
I moved everything one by one
I closed the box UI
Called elevator
Opened box with F
N O T H I N G
Try 3
moved everything by hand in the inv terminal then dropped the box on my feet by dragging it onto the drop icon
works
Weird. That method has worked for me to empty boxes, maybe I haven't tried to fill them
So I recently got a Hull C, how does one efficiently use it for trading? Can it land on planet? How do you load it?
No landing with cargo, trade only in the 4 orbital space stations and the 3 jump point stations
Docking is heavily bugged, so good luck
so is the only way to unload it via docking?
Hull C still uses a kinda magic auto (un)loading
Are there cargo missions that work for the hull c?
The cargo missions work pretty good afaik yeah
It's the docking that doesn't work, luckily you don't need to dock for those hauling contracts
All magic loading
That’s good
I remember trying to do cargo with the hull before this cargo update and it was such a pain to do
Can anyone remind me how hauling used to work before? I played around 4 years ago but mostly did bunkers. Before cargo was physical? Was it just button presses to move ship cargo to buyer?
You select your ship on the trading terminal, you buy the cargo, and boom, ship is loaded with the cargo.
At first it was only 1 SCU boxes, then the bigger ones where implemented.
Ship didn't even have to be stored like now for auto (un)loading. But it did have to be empty of player and/or dead corpses
Same thing to sell, don't need to store ship, go to terminal, sell.
You have the money and cargo is gone
The absolute best part about it though - It worked 100% of the time.
Uhh, let's take it down to 90%
We had a good amount of "Failed cargo transfer" or "Mismatched transaction cost" errors
Not sure working at 100% can ever be true in SC
Huh. Don't mind the change. Like it actually
LOL. It definitely does feel like unnecessary work for a game with already a lot of downtime. But hey, it really does put the citizen in Star Citizen.
Back when we had magic inventories 🥹
I just pulled up to this cargo elevator and its stuck on transferring to wareheouse is this a bug
@humble merlin How should someone do Vaughn?
Starting out I would use a fighter, or an interceptor with some cargo space. Could also use something like cutty/c1/nomad
Go to GrimHEX and buy a bunch of crypto keys, carry 3 on you.
Go to unverified contracts, there should be one from Vaughn in there that unlocks his bounties
Do that one
When you get to the planet/moon that the target is at, check to see if comms are up (top left of screen there will be an eyeball if comms are up)
If comms are up, you need to take them down with the crypto keys you bought.
Fly to comms array around the moon/planet, get as close as you can as fast as you can so you don't get missiled to death by the defense systems (they don't shoot at your ship when it's parked super close to the comms array)
Go insisde, hack terminal, this will take a couple minutes and you have to confirm on the terminal a couple times.
Once comms are down, go do bounty.
You can do the bounties with comms on, but you'll get crimestat
A lot of the time, comms are already down
Crusader is best place because you can get bounties in Asteroids surrounding Yela which makes for easy looting
You can start getting contraband pretty early in small amounts
I usually take it to Brio's Breaker Yard but use SC Trade tools to check prices from other places
Did they update the tarusus' cardo hold size?
Still 174 SCU
9 tails members at mining outposts that have an armistace zone??? You cant even shoot back. Amazing video game.
so If I were to go mining, and wanted to use the Hull C to move the refined material is that going to be a hassle? Should I rather use something else?
Definitely not meant for it since refined materials are sold in cities, where the Hull C can't land
ah okayt
Even at Orison, where the Hull C can dock, it's artificially limited as the H-C isn't detected by the terminals
so theoretically once the arrastra/orion release, and you can do high capacity mining, would the ideal be refine until H-C capacity, use H-C to move all cargo to tressler (or other planetary station) and then ferry the cargo planetside with the largest capacity ship you have like the C2?
All of this likely to change by then however
arrastra seemingly confirmed for release in the next year though
Maybe by then Orison will accept the H-C
Can't tell for ships and career this far from being in
is this just a bug or does it seem intentional?
It's definitely intentional for now
okay
Thanks for all the advice
Might upgrade to the H-D then during IAE, since its not a big price increase, but get a C2 as a loaner
If you wanna move super big cargo with stuff that can land, we will eventually have the Ironclad and BMM
Idris may be a good cargo ship if you can fill the entire hangar with cargo
But again, I'm sure the prices, landing zones and buy/sell points will be very different in the future
im trying to minimize the extra investment here xD I cant downgrade to the ironclad, and going to the BMM is more than im expecting to spend
I can upgrade to the H-D with credit
Now I just need to fix my corsair problem xD
then my fleet is sorted
🫡 Has there been any documentation of what the various tiers of SCU capacity are across all the different ranks of the hauling missions?
i beleive it to be random, but there might be an equation to how many of each type of SCU crate will show up depending on the mission, rank and how many SCU is needed to be Hauled. There is no way to know, would be nice to to be offered a particular missions list, based on the ship your currently sitting in. So it will do a checksum and say this ship has "X" amount of cargo capacity, any missions that require "Y" SCU will give a Result of "Z" ship not capable of supporting haul in 1 trip!
I for instance had a double collection, but in a freelancer Max with the new Quantum rebalance, i had to go to microtech, collect and deliver to Hurston, then out to Crusader and back to Hurston again, filling up after each stop. As the trip to NB, then Seraphim, then back to Everest would have emptied my tank and left my adrift around HL5
When you select a contract it tells you how many scu's it is and the max size box for that mission. For example deliver 96scu from A to B with a max size box size of 8scu. So simple maths means 12x8scu boxes.
I believe that max box size per level doubles from the one before. Rookie 1scu Junior 2scu, Member 4scu and so on. I'm only at member rank so it's just the pattern I've seen so far.
That would require devs to play SC 😉
Then they would understand the pain
I was getting 8 scu deliveries on my first missions, so I dont think thats how they scale. There were just a lot of missions available and I had to pick cargo loads that fit
They do play the game (you can see on spectrum when they're playing) but I assume it's mostly just to mess around like your average player instead of constantly thinking about what could be better esp when it isn't their teams work lol
the hauling missions that are suitable for the hull C, they're not autoload, right?
They are
But the ship doesn't have to be stored, it has its own area to park at around stations and call cargo atc
Yeah I've done commodity trading with it last time I had one, but I've not touched the upper tiers of hauling with one yet
Yeah that's what I mean. If they played regularly they'd understand how many things are annoying
Like the contracts screen
Can any experienced cargo hauler tell me what ship is rentable in Star citizen with biggest cargo capacity? preferably with snap-on cargo grid?
Their wording could be better
Instead of saying "oh yeah max size up to this size" and then the amount it could say something like "you'll be moving 12 8scu crates and 3 1sxu crates"
Constellation Andromeda or Phoenix
thanks my man
Im ok with cargo size, just wish I could filter, rank, location, size too
it's also quite likely that they are aware of how many things are annoying, but that doesn't mean fixing them is a priority. Especially when major system reworks (mission refactor, etc) are coming that may mean that fixing them now would be a waste of time.
i have a cat mask for sale 5mil
Not the same kind of trading.
Use #market-street or #1019852856460853258
Also damn the price dude
Nobody buying that
I am new thank you
anyone manage to see anything on 4.0 eptu about the rebalancing?
does anyone know where I can find the Stor all 2scu box for the hornet? not able to find it on the cstone site
you can find 2 scu storage crates at any station with a cargo deck so baijini for arccorp, orison sells them direct at cousin crows on providence platform, hurston sells them on everus harbor and microtech sells em at omega pro in new babbage commons
The specific Size 5 Stor*All Big Box Model H storage pucks on the hornet not the regular 2scu's crates
Question about selling at TDD. So i have some gold to sell. I moved it the freight and sent it down. i head over to TDD and i am unable to find it. Then i saw that it did see the Bexilte on my C1 cargo grid and allowed me to sell it. So i guess it created a sell order. I went back to my ship unloaded the Bex on the freight and sent it down. Then i checked my warehouse and the Bex is there and not sold. So how do we sell?
That's the neat part
You don't
Unsure if it comes stock with one of the Hornet variants but you can't buy it
I also don't even think it's usable atm
sounds like your server is just messed up
but it has been the same for my buddies also and we have tried on different nights.. what is the proper process to sell currently?
Does your gold appear in local inventory?
both of your methods are proper and i've done them both, at least with rmc
if you want to use the auto offload feature go to tdd/trade console first. otherwise it's faster to offload first and then trade console
currently everything is in Area 18
i went to the console, choose area 18 and nothing shows in the In demand section
Try raising it with the freight elevator and then lowering it again
Don't leave the freight elevator UI until it says the transfer is complete aswell
ok
That is unfortunate
nope nothing....Another weird thing is that the ships are not aligned... Example. I choose to see the cargo of my C2, i will find it under the Argo ATLS. If i choose the C2, it shows the Freelancer MAX. if i choose the MAX, it says to choose a Valid Inventory to make a Transaction... I dont know if it is related...
is area18 your home location
there was a bug where people had issues selling at their home location, not sure if it's fixed yet. try going elsewhere
orison, loreville. microtech
Cargo container sizes
From Size 1 (1 SCU) to Size 7 (32 SCUs)
hello, does anyone know how to use the reliant kore tractor beam? I could not access it neither from pilot nor copilot seat...
In copilot usually theres a remote turret button if you look around

I hate the mfd glitch in the tauras makes me cry
I'm only having it happen at 1440p
I'm gonna cry
Tell me what you fell when you see this image, this is a safe space.
Ahhhh
... Ohhhhhhh
Yes we know they have bad priorities...
I had that problem where I could not sell RMC, etc from my home location but can at Area 18. So maybe it is a thing.
CIG has to make Pyro salvage accept 32 boxes... so it's a big funny.
And stanton wouldn't
Hello
What should I do if I just started with hull a?(Not including rep missions)
Is there any run I can do (that's worth it)
Bunker missions only require transportation, so a Hull A is capable.
But for more specialized career, there's only cargo for which it's suited
Hull C owners, putting the docking arm issues to one side, can you get a decent hauling session most times or is it still keeping up the reputation for being a bit of a mess? Thanks!
I usually do large hulls of hydrogen, and copper. Just a pain goinf from ship to station then ship then loading dock then back to station to loading dock again xD. (But i dont do hauling missions with the c
Yeah I typically do a mix of trading and hauling, probably more hauling at the moment, just curious to see if it's worth it right now. Does loading work reliably most of the time?
For me yes, but ive only done the trading. (Hulling i use c2 so idk what the difference is if you haul since the hauling usually makes you manually load and unload) personally id say no and just use a c2 or a cat for the haulling missions since the locations for delivery are split at higher missions
refinery says i have 1000+ cSCU refined ore but my c2 only holds 600+ SCU whats the difference between the 2 cSCU and SCU
The "c" doesn't mean cute? Fuck
Centimeters, centiliters, centithefuckup and whatever centi you want
How did you know my nickname back in highschool?
for all your sc measurment needs
It's common sense, you shouldn't even need to ask this question
But TBF, common sense in SC is rare, and that's what make it confusing
Well, some people may still be unfamiliar with SI unit prefixes, because their country doesn't commonly use it
You mean because these people are inferior, right ? That's what you're saying aren't you ?
That's what I read at least
I would have to agree TBH
Rude
Is it possible to load 1/8 SCU boxes into a Store-All without the use of a freight elevator (IE, looting drug bunkers)
No, it needs to be done in the warehouse
That's what I thought. Tried it once, couldn't make it work, but thought there was a chance I hadn't figured it out.
what do yall use to track your crago prices
uexcorp or sctrade tools, they have a collab so both share data between to try and keep it accurate
scd-1 terminals stuck on transferring to warehouse?
best bet is to hop servers until you find one where the elevator works there
put cargo on elevator and left the hanger, came back and the cargo is gone. Did it despawn? Or am I at a different hanger?
Elevator at orison
Can a C8R fit in a Lancer Max? Where's that will it fit spreadsheet thing? 😉
From what I’ve seen yes but it’s very tight, if you’re wanting a med bed in it nursa will be better to use
It fits
This fun fitting test of the MISC Starlancer MAX turned out to be a surprise fitting test, the amount of vehicles and ships that can fit this thing is truly incredible! Enjoy!
Star Citizen Alpha 3.24.3 PTU.9410828
---------------------------------------------------------------...
Would not recommend tho
You can carry 1/8 boxes, so you can't drag them from your arms into the open container loot window?
It's worth a try but you've never been able to store crates of Maze, etc in a inventory so unless is specifically changed with the new system?
The hauling missions...what kind of scu crates (and amount) do they have anyway?
To what level can the c1 tackle it?
It says a maximum size crate in the description so as many of those ➗️ by the total SCU plus smaller boxes to make up any extra
Tried that
Doesn't work
21scu with 4scu max be 5x 4 and 1x1
Is there a list somewhere of “No Questions Asked” terminal locations?
Grim Hex, scrap yards, cru 4/5 I think that's it, but best just to check your commodity and see who buys it on sctradetools it'll show you if there's an NQA who take it
It's been a couple of weeks but Rookie and Junior are fine, I think some of the Member are achievable as well
I got all the way to senior with a Corsair. Stacking 3ish small missions at a time. At senior rank, no more small missions.
How good is hauling missions when at higher ranks
Stacking a couple of small missions at experienced rank I was making around 250-300k per hour.
At senior rank they pay 90-120k each, but it's hard to do more than one at a time even with a c2.
hm
Idk what rank I am currently but its low for sure I was stacking the 6-10 scu per mission and doing like 5-6 at a go
Getting about 70-80k
It felt like forever getting rep
Finally stip crashing on login, accept a hauling contract, flynto pickup. Get out of ship and fall through the world...
Guess I'll try again tommorow
the starlancer its flight ready now?
Starlancer MAX is flight ready
But its pretty much unplayable. Hab 4 toilet not working, Both elevators have differetn buttons from eachtoher and the rest of the ship. smh my head.
When a ship no one asked for and that was kept secret until the end is still pushed to release incomplete
So happy right now!
Why does the toilet need to work?
To flush your rep I guess, 😂
Its in? Or was i wrong thought iae was the 22nd
The heck? Dis they reverse the tractor buttons?
Did they fix cargo autoloading at the admin terminals with this patch?
Bet that takes a bunch of time to load and unload.
Question, if a large ship (for example the Polaris) has to use the docking collar to dock on space stations... How do we unload cargo on large ships at space stations if docking collars have no freight elevators?
Yeah, hauling missions got to be not worth it for me at senior. I only did one, but it took a little over an hour total. And I'm not opposed to things taking time in game, but when the reward per hour was halved or worse going from experienced to senior, that wasn't cool.
A while ago. Did they reverse them again?
What ways are there if any to get cargo automatically loaded for you these days?
in theory you can auto load / unload at locations with hangars and only on things you buy / sell at admin or TDD. Doesn't always work, maybe it's better in the new patch?
The 5 Star You Tube channel discuss RMC auto unloading in this video: https://youtu.be/IKCxsqBvE_s?si=76s0m8asIXhOU8oz

freight elevator?
yeah I wasnt able to find it
yep looks like the freight elevators are gone
now i guess this is the time to reinforce to people, please always check elevator first before buying commodities
if you have checked and found that there was no lift, wouldnt have bought the beryl 😛
how does one auto load? 😂 the commodity panel tells me the duration of auto loading, but when I buy, it always switches to "manual" lol
should have done that, too
248scu mission - space for a couple more 16s if needed!
so I guess 280 would be a conforable fit using 16s and 1x8 🙂
Yep. Left click is attach now
getting them out is a pain when you fill it!
Is there a way for the ATLS tractor beam to NOT have the box fly straight at you when you pick it up?
Can I still autoload cargo? my ship is stored in hangar, but cant select any cargo
not that ive seen
view is bugged, choose the line above your ship
all my cargo has become <placeholder>, have i just lost all my money?..
no, but if you position yourself at an angle to where you want to place them and use free look (Z key) to look out the side window while positioning, it works a lot smoother.
Ah - I'll give that a try next time I'm on. Thanks!
still annoying, I wish the ATLS had a right click mode that was normal tractor beam and left click that was the special ATLS beam. The lack of precision on the ATLS beam kinda sucks
it has two hands and two slots for utilities
be nice if CIG would unlock the left arm for a second beam
oh, that would be a good option too
can only assume that like everything else, it's not done yet
Yes
One trick is to use Z and look to the side and mousewheel to move the holo image of the cargo around. Still not precise, but way easier to see than looking straight on to your target destination with the ATLS.
that's what I just suggested two posts further up
Starlancer max wasn’t supposed to get a tractor beam ?
hows the starlancer max in the default paint
is it with getting a paintjob with it or naw
idk if i like them 😭
Terrible
I got the snowcap one
Sorry, not the best picture.
I have both, Zeus and Fatlancer, ship is good, inside it is awesome, i would melt my Zeus for it? No
In the end, it’s very personal

If you feel good with it, you can do that absolutely
zorgh doesn't like the blue hahahahah
The cargo grid of this thing is immense
Blue ?
And if you ignore the grid you got a ton of SCUs
There's blue ?
the snowcap is blue and black no?
White for me
White yes definitely
But uh, I don't like the ship and this paint makes it ever worse for me
Not a very bright white tho
really how come?
bad ship why
Ugly and bad
I still don’t understand if i prefer to keep the Starlancer or getting a Connie 😔
The ship is awesome, the aesthetic of it doesn’t click 100% with me
And for me it’s a lot
I don't like the connie, rather pref the starlancer. IDK Why but the ship has a feeling the connie don't have.
I love the cargo, and the bay where we can park a vehicle or something else, like an ATLAS
Man Ironclad is OP cargo ship on paper but on other hand its drake
What do you think? Very curious
I love it
I love the engine sounds and everything
I think the 2 rear elevators are abit meh could of got more scu space there
The hab should have more windows on the outside and the middle hallway instead
Rented an Andromeda now to try it. To me the aesthetic of this thing is DEFINITELY better..
Audio is terrible compared to the Starlancer, is an old ship
quality way inferior, no components, but man it looks good..
Let me know once you test it more. To me the ship is absolutely a blast, the functionality is top notch. It’s just the aesthetic. 😭
I go there always with the Zeus
(Beloved)
Weeks ago i used to say “mmmaaaah i’m not really interested in the Zeus, at all”
Nowadays is my most used ship ever
I got the Zeus, used it once for a full load, discovered it was stupid to load and unload fully, and put it away, never to be used again
did the same
My freight lift is obstructed even after 24 hours off the game item is still under the floor of the lift any Fix?
@sonic forum does thing have lights like every other ship or is it just bugged and doesnt work because that seems like it could be a big light
There's 3 posts about it on the Issue Council
What i can say for sure is that it doesn't work, then i think it should have lights like every other ship..
but yeah as bouwplan said i noticed the thing on the council
have cig commented?
Starlancer enjoyers, watch out for a DANGEROUS bug, it happened to me two times and i saw it also on reddit, so it cannot be only a case.
I don’t know if it’s already present on the Council
Basically if you get into the ATLS while the thing it’s stored in your rear cargo bay, there’s a possibility it will depart AT LIGHT SPEED against the wall, penetrating it literally, and killing you
So i would not really recommend to use the ATLS during valuable trading runs…
Or do that at your risk, feel free to test it
@sonic forum What are you doing with a Freelancer.... I'm pretty sure that ship doesn't salvage
Very..sus
I was thinking about switching the side cannons with salvaging heads
You think it will work?
LMAO you never miss a beat
Cannot deny it would be fcking good!
Canons can salvage... if you hit it hard enough
Seriously though, how are you liking the Starlancer? Heard mixed reviews
Let me land this whale filled with gold scus and i’ll tell you
The ship itself is awesome and the capabilities are top notch.
Cockpit visiblity is terrible. The lack of side MFDs is even worse. The HUD bar is very cool. Flight performances are DECENT, it’s slow as hell, in atmosphere even worse, in space it goes good enough. If you loose a wing it starts spinning without any form of control and the ship is done, not sure if it’s a bug or intended. Weapons are good, very decent number and size of missiles, good number of turrets, lower side of the ship is exposed. I do not dislike the shield capabilities.
The cargo bay is one of the absolute best points of it. Immense for this price tag. If you ignore the cargo grid you get even more of the official SCU capacity. It lacks a tractor beam, which is not an issue, just something that would be cool to have. It got space for multiple vehicles and light fighters like the Mirai Fury or an Ursa rover.
Landing lights not working, VERY BAD.
Maybe sometimes it’s a bit of a pain going around the ship to fill the opposite side of the central cargo bay, but it’s possible to move em on the opposite side even from the inside of the ship, a bit uncomfortable but possible.
The aesthetic of it it’s still unclear for me. From a frontal aspect the ship looks awesome and i love it. The rear of it in my opinion it’s not very pleasant. But again, this is personal and it’s a MISC, you like it or you hate it.
I don’t know if i missed something. The ship is great if you like this kind of gameplay. I see it as an industrial ship, contrary to the TAC it’s not really meant to fight. You can do for sure bounties with it but I wouldn’t because i don’t see the reason, since i got other ships to better fit that role.
I’m using it mainly for trading runs, hauling missions, and a bit of expeditions
Last note, i mainly fly a ZEUS, which is my daily. The Fatlancer has replaced it? No.
And probably it was not even meant to do that.
Thanks man! Haven't had any luck with the trading right now or hauling in general. What was your CCU path like?
Man, I LOVED the Zeus CL as a daily driver. Absolutely adored it. I was talked into a Taurus and I miss the Zeus not gonna lie. The grid was what put me off
Here it comes the worse part of it. I bought only two ships this year, the Zeus and the Fatlancer.
Both of em without any kind of CCU. Straight out of the store.
I just unloaded a full cargo of gold with it, 280k of profit or something similar. A bit less than salvaging, but it’s definitely faster than that. So it’s a good compromise.
You can get more, my grid was NOT full.
Ah, I see your a bit of a baller yourself
Let me tell you this, i can understand, because even now i’m still going around the Connie. I rented an andromeda today and i’m still flying it. It has something that i love.
I would even consider upgrading the Starmax, but i would NEVER take out my Zeus.
Literally this is weird because weeks ago i was completely uninterested in the ZOOS, today i would prefer to stop playing instead of getting rid of it!
Faster than salvaging? Seems like your enjoying hauling a little too much. You're treading a dangerous line here, buddy.
How are the availability of trading right now? I've always had tough luck with it.
I’m trading mainly gold. Everytime i go down to the mining outpost i’ll find around 128 SCUs immediately available. Terrible. BUT!
If you wait a bit, it should refill. Or, you can go to another outpost (more risky)
(Salvaging remains still my best form of income as now, together with bounties, Vaughn and whatever)
I love my starlancer max omg
It's a good ship, I tested it out on a 250scu mission earlier
Aside from a couple of loading quirks it was a good run.
@pallid talon You have any issues with boxes bouncing in the back or removing from the sides?
Yes you can easily get 300scu in
hi everyone. its been months since ive last played star citizen, i want to get back into it so i'm just wondering, whats the new best grind with c2 hercules? last time i played it was doing ert missions and having someone load the valuable loot into the back and selling it, is that still extremely profitable?
I havent even loaded it tbf lol
Just doing save stanton atm gonna do vaughn after
Tried it the risky way. Fully BORKED the rear cargo bay with a mix of size 8/16 SCUs during my last run. Entering it at the end was pretty impossible
Everything went great. Gained a big amount of added space = profit
I’m an enthusiast of ignoring cargo grid. I’m a Zeus driver, you know.
so what can you fit
I know you can fit 16 scu boxes
can you double stack or no? and can you fit anything bigger
You can fit 2x 32s in the rear, and that’s for sure. I would say also for sure 6x 8scu boxes in the center. Maybe 8, haven’t tried. On top of ALL of them, multiple size 4scu boxes
are them 2x32s gridded im guessing not
I haven’t tried but i’ll bet my money on it, they are, considering you can fit 2x size 16 on every side
So a single 32 instead should be totally fine
Another configuration that i see easily in the rear is 2x size 32, 4x size 16, 14x size 4
Negative, 16s, 24s and 32s are compatible
On top of all of them, size 4 boxes are compatible
Nothing taller than those ones
(But placing them starts to become a pain.)
how long does it take a mining facility to restock some gold?
About 10 to 15 minutes
Anyone know how to load cargo from Arccorp Mining 141? can't seem to find a freight elevator
Its bugged apparently
It was "Check for working elevator"
Now it's "Check for existing elevator"
so theres nothing i can do with that cargo?
Actually i changed my mind. I'll keep this thing.
Is it slower than a c2?
Is what slower than a C2
Starlancer
Not sure man, literally never flown the C2
Starlancer is slower than almost every ship in SCM without boosting
It tops out at 115m/s, which only a cargo laden Hull C and the starfarer move slower (both also misc ships)
Ok thx for the info
But you can boost for a while
I’ll have to try it out on misc day
Thought about learning how to do Cargo runs with my Hull C, any tips or guides?
dont do it 🙂
think you can search this channel a few people posted on how to do it, or just find a youtube vid?
YT videos are scarce and outdated when it comes to the Hull C due to its bugs. I wouldnt be messaging in here had I not already looked myself.
my understanding is you need to buy the cargo in autoloading to the ship, fly the hull C out to the box, call cargo ATC and it should load.
for unloading approach station, do not land, park at external hangar, EVA in, sell auto unload / turn in mission ask you manual unload, fly back to ship, go Box call cargo ATC
disclaimer: i do not own a Hull C, but that is what i remember seeing recently
perhaps you can try it out and come back to us with a guide? 🙂
ive already watched the old guides on how to properly use the ship, which are still accurate. my objective was to see if anyone was doing it themselves and how well they like doing their route. possibly offer advice with their experience
i appreciate the attempt to answer my question.
aye sorry cant be of futher help. as my personal opinion as a trader tho, hydrogen trading is what i would attempt on the Hull C
interesting, the trading website suggested Iron, for barely 300k profit at best
for 500k base cost the profit margin is 70%
you try searching for hydrogen itself
sometimes its buggy i realise, like Heph routes are the best autoloading route for a C2, but if you select just autoloading it gives random bad suggestions, for which i have no idea why
i see, someone released a video on hydrogen runs with the hull c just 5 days ago.
yeah like i said, as a trader from my own research, if i have a Hull C, i would definitely do hydrogen runs
Hull C requires sufficient volume to make it worth, but of course if you dont want to spend too much of your money and risk losing it too
appears the better way is Helium, seraphim to magnus gateway, profit of 460k
Too low. I’ll do that with the Starlancer. With the Hull C, i’m sure you can get way more
Here, try taking a look here
I found some routes suitable for the Hull C. About the procedures, unfortunately i do not own one
i did peek on there for a moment, helium seems to be the best one for the moment, i didnt dig into it deep
Whatever you do, pay attention and do not invest excessively without testing. I heard worrying stuff about the Hull C lately
I would be scared as hell to get a lot of money on it
the docking got patched, other than that, the only issue ive had is being unable to move other than forward and back. takes a relog and it fixes.
yeah i saw a video recently by noobs gaming, he did the same mistake as i did
i tried to trade c2 autoload runs with medical supplies.
the stations buys in such tiny quantities goddamn it
takes forever to sell the 650scu of meds
i realised medical supplies are terrible to trade, even tho they are available in large quantities
Did you try TDDs? I haven't traded meds in a while but Orison and A18 used to take up to 500scu of meds and Admin up to another 50.
Are there resources somewhere about the best MISSION optimized routes ? Like, what is a serie of hauling missions you can do in a specific order to perfectly optimize a route?
Try !tradetools
One-stop-shop for everything trade related in Star Citizen: best trade routes, best mining spots, etc.
Yeah I could quite a few at experienced rank, at Port Tressler I could combine delivery missions with pickup missions both interstellar and locally to maximise the rep, stacking up to 6 missions. You kinda just need to go through the job board and check the pickup and drop off points and make a note.
At senior rank I was doing one loop pickup from Seraphim drop to 3 R&Rs and then hooking on a pickup at one of the R&Rs, it gets harder above experienced as cargo amounts make stacking more difficult, the Caterpillar was good due to the compartments to split up the loads.
Somehow I lost a bunch of my senior rep (no missions failed) it was up to 3/4 now down to 1/3 again and with the wipe I can't be bothered to try to get to master anymore lol I already sank like 150hrs
What would really help is a search or just a separate haulage app, but many have suggested already so hopefully something will come to make it easier as at Senior the list of missions can get to 200 lol
What traiding route do yall recommend me for my c1
Yeahh update
I'm close to pulling the trigger on the damn Starlancer. Curse you!
What’s the plan here? Are you upgrading something or it’s a FRESH non warbond full cash purchase?
Common sense would dictate chain starting with the Taurus. But I've been told I don't have that, so I might just get it straight cash? But man seems like a redundant addition when you already have a Taurus
Let me tell you this, i won’t go against the Connie because i love it, but when i was taking decisions myself i was thinking:
Which one i can buy in game? Not the Starmax for sure. Then, i can just grind trading and salvaging to buy the Constellation again, while having a ship that will not come to the in game shop anytime soon
Did the same for the Zeus, then i’ll use em to grind the other ships directly in game
Oh really? I thought the SL Max was going to be available after IAE lol
I don’t know if i’m wrong but here i will press X to doubt 300 times.
We will have this conversation again when MISC Fortune comes out lol
What i can tell you is that you will fly the Starmax for free in some days
Maybe try it first
But saying that sounds hilarious because i’m terrible at waiting
its amazing
I bought it and im convincing my friends to get them
I wanted to get the Starlancer there but it’s in Orison, i’ll go with my beloved Andromeda!
Negative, but my starmax is HAHAHHAHA
and i do not have time to go there taking it!!
Same here, not real interested in rest. i like sdmall ships
waiting for MISC though to try out a Hull
Anyone know where to find a group to run cargo with?
Are stims and spirits considered contraband?
I don't believe so. Both can be sold at legal locations. And there are hauling missions thave ask you to deliver stims at least, I don't know about spirits.
