The beryl supply on Ita was nerfed, right? Used to be an immense amount for sale on Ita.
This website doesn’t consider buying drugs from the drug zones? Or are the drug lab elevators broken?
the drug trade doesn't exist rn, unless you get them from bouny missions, etc. Almost every place that sells drugs does not have a cargo elevator.
Gotcha so that’s what’s going on
which is currently the best for commodity trading that can be rented?
Taurus but it's about 100k/day so you need to make sure you get the most out of it. RAFT isn't too bad, 96scu, fast to load, pop 6x16 on it and away you go
Yeah, I love my RAFT, especially for short trips. Very easy to load and unload, weirdly more efficient in a lot of ways than my bigger pledged ships.
what is the purpose of buying RMC, if its more risky than buying gold, and has the same issues with supply/waiting for restock?
I'm not sure RMC is still worth it, the payout was pretty low after the nerf to RMC purchase price.
hmm. strange. it seems strange to leave a high risk low reward commodity in there o_O
tried to buy gold at SMO 18 but i couldnt interact with the terminal, there was no press F button. was that a random bug, or is that the common thing that prevents people from trading?
Terminals seem to be breaking everywhere. Every time I'm at Seraphim, almost all the public storage kiosks are broken around the ASOP. All the klescher terminals for checking your sentence were broken last night in the shard I was in too
Not sure if intentional or what, but its definitely annoying
it´s time for the .1
.1 seems like it's more focused around adding the ATLS mech, im not optimistic for seeing actual gameplay fixes outside of that
.1 is the fix patch and the ATLS patch.
well terminals seem to be ok there
when selling salvage mat at TDD,. should i put elevator down before to go at terminal, or elevator stay up with stuff on grid?
Bear in mind, servers are usually in a fairly fresh state, with fewer players, and fewer players acting with ill-intentions
put it down. It is currently brokewn though, the TDD does not recognize "player-created" commodities.
yeah true 😃 i have to admit..
is shubin mining facility an armistice zone?
on daymar, sorry
where people get gold
If you are auto-unloading a ship, you need to store the ship. If you are selling out of your cargo elevator, you need to send the elevator down and have the cargo stored into your warehouse.
Pretty sure mining station armistice only blocks ship weapons, but not handheld weapons (since you need to use a tractor beam, and its considered a weapon).
I also had some NPCs start shooting my ship with their rifles while at the mining station on Daymar the other day. Was fun to ram them all to death in my F7A (since I couldn't shoot the ship weapons at them).
i bought some gold, then went outside to try to store it and like a redeemer and 2 corsairs blew tf out of my ship, and then npcs came out and shot me with their guns
how do i even defend myself lmao
That sounds like a bounty mission was initiated, and NPCs tend to bypass the laws of armistice.
ERTs have deemers and corsairs.
an ert that spawned ground soldiers?
NPCs are immune from the law lol.
And there's a thing going on rn where you can pick up NPCs in an ARGO Cargo and transport them to armistice.
The Daymar mining station is very close to a derelict outpost that has NPCs show up in a cutty black, and they weirdly deploy sometimes into the station.
Or just knock them out, drag them on the ship and do it that way. Someone decided to troll lol
That would be the most exciting trading experience and get me hooked.
Otherwise super boring.
Yeah, I usually just take off immediately anf fight back, if you get like 500 m up, you can shoot again
i was using a cutty my ship got vaporized in like 10 seconds before i even got inside
hi anyone know if it's possible to sell gasping weevil eggs? it seems like all scrap yard's freight elevator are bugged
Try CRU-L5 NQA terminal
Unless it changed in 3.24, only salvage yards take eggs
I sold a box I found when doing a cargo hauling contract
It was either CRU-L4 or L5, pretty sure L5
I will try i guess ty
Nowhere but salvage yards will accept weevil eggs atm. Unless they change that, it also means that you cannot sell anything above 16 SCU crates of weevil eggs.
I tried both CRU-L4 and L5, they didn't buy GWE
Your best bet is to keep changing server region in front of the scrap yard elevator until you find a working one.
Just know you won't be able to sell any 32 SCU container of GWE
Anyone have any idea what is causing this? Happening while trying to sell any commodity in my ship
Move the cargo to the freight elevator
Yeah it's much safer just to put the cargo in the FE, send it down and sell from the location inventory, there's no unloading charges or waiting time then, plus you'll avoid that bug too. The C1 is small ,it shouldn't take you long to unload that.
Also @swift trench is your ship stored?
ship was stored yeah, but will try unloading into the freight elevator now
thanks 🙂
No worries, hopefully these issues will be solved in the .1 patch
New Patch 3.24.1 Drops tonight
From Spectrum MOTD:
(Friday) We are not expecting any further 3.24.1 PTU updates today and will be releasing the current build onto LIVE later tonight.
but when is "later tonight" tho
no idea. Soon (TM)
11:59 pm
of whatever timezone they deem that they wanna use as reference.
True. 23:59
live release friday night they got balls of steel
This is pretty common
That, and releasing a broken update right before weeks long breaks (End of Year)
They'll have people on call over the weekend.
Well, they have volunteers that can come in, if they want.
I'm thinking probaby about 6 or 7 PM EST, but I've seen earlier and I've seen later.
Main thing is it is heading this way
Cargo Q&A Sc Live is definitely worth a watch, just watched it loads of info
Anyone else poking the pledge store for crew size 1, Argo ships?...
Oh doesn't pipeline have a live tracker for the pledge store?
So do we, #rsi-updates
But that's more of a topic for #ccu-and-fleet-advice
I see your point, with a "but its for moving cargo, or I wouldn't have mentioned it here"
Hopefully planetary locations are fixed 🤞
is cargo still bugged? i keep getting "tranfering to warehouse" whenever i use a lift
do you have to unload cargo into the elevators to sell it or can you auto unload it?
You can either manually unlaod or use auto unload for a fee and a delay
I see, thank you
Anyone know if cargo in a space station warehouse/inventory is still around or did it get dropped? It didn't move to my new home city inventory. Haven't had a chance to check the space station where I left it yet.
mine is still there
cool. looks like i'm flying from area 18 to mic l1 after dinner
They removed from outposts crates that can't be used there
So you should be good
Well, I had a 1000 scus at SM0 18, and now they're all gone. But there was 3x32 scus there from before the modifications, so maybe that's why everything vanished, I don't know
anyone know where I can buy gold? non at shubin sm0-18
scd-1 at crusader iirc
i'll check there
it'll be on daymar around crusader
Is it awkward hailing mining facilities? cant seem to call any of the landing services
I assume you mean for refueling. Try with power on and power off, repositioning as close to the center of the pad as you can get, got to the other pad if it has one, get in and out of pilot seat and if it still doesn't work head to the space station.
Those are things I've tried with varying degrees of success.
Sadly, seems you can't move the ATLS with a tractor beam
I'd guess its a bug
tried with the Catty, gonna try with the mpuv-t now
anyone have a hull-c trade route map handy? I can't seem to find mine anymore
Yup. Gone. Wish I had moved it before the patch. It was 1M aUEC of RMC that I vulture salvaged. Oh well.
If you're talking about mining areas on moons and such, (aka outposts) they don't have ATC. Just land.
Do you guys keep spreadsheets of which upgrades went to whichever ships?
not normally but it wouldn't hurt if you have alot of ships and components, majority of the time i just slap erebos or ts-2 in and i'm good to go
If you make an account on Erkul you can save ship loadouts there.
drake mule can only pick up 1 SCU boxes ? with the front lifer? or can it also do 2 SCU since its the same size just longer?
!fit
Anyone already tried the planetary hauling? If they fixed the contents loading bug
With a fresh server, it is hard to say.. we have probably to wait a few days.
Time to check if Salvage yards are still broken
Looks good
Terminal works, lift moves
Maybe I can finally sell these weevil eggs
The hauling job I just did (station to station) did not work perfectly. One container glitched through the hangar floor and vanished.
That's what I would expect to happen. Also, if they were 32 SCU, then I don't think you could have sold them anyways.
I had a 24 and a bunch of 1's and 2's
Mule's front forks don't do anything. Possible to put a 1 SCU box in back, but hard to get it out again.
is SC Trade Tools out of date or something? it says i can buy gold at smo-13 but its not on the buy list, not even sold out
Admin commodities shop doesn't accept my container size , what do i do ?
are the salv yard elevators working now?
Anyone found a way to change where the ATLS holds the box? It's right in front of your face so you can't see where to place it lol I'm sure it held thr box to 1 side in PTU
I think it still depends on server, I'm guessing players are breaking them by trying to send boxes or items down that don't fit, CIG need to put a failsafe that resets them
We do our best to stay up to date.
I'll rectify 🙂
There, should stop making those recommendations within the hour.
The companion application sometimes confuses the different sm0 outposts and reads one for another. They differ by only a couple of characters.
I'll put a better fix in shortly.
cool, thx
Literally just dropped the damn ATLS on top of me loading it into my Caterpillar 🤣
Does the ATLs work with the caterpillar? Can you store it in the ship ?
Having issues with trading, I bought the RAFT (liked the look of it more than anything, only had like 500k to start), fine getting the gold, getting it loaded, but when I unload a lot of the crates just fall under, I've managed to save some but to say I've done a dozen trips I'm only at 750k 😂 Any thing I can do to help prevent them just vanishing through the floor or into the distance?
Yeah last night I tried to unload a 16scu crate of weevil eggs onto the salvage cargo hangar and I fell through the world!
Loss of like 1.5mil. By the time I got back there was already another trader on site, but it seems like the big crate fell with me.
Only been selling gold in New Babbage and feels like it's dropping into the area under the doors like when you store/retreive ships, did try to see if I could get down there or something but nada - sometimes when it's under the world you can still walk with it if you're not unlucky enough just to lose grip or for it to shoot off
Yes you most certainly can...I stored it in the front cargo area
The ATLS makes me nervous though when loading and unloading from the Caterpillar lol
might melt the mpuv tractor then as it sadly dont fit in the cat
no sadly it does not
got the ATLS is the front section and the URSA Medivac in the second compartment lol
Ah ok, so its garbage. Gotcha good thing i bought it in game xD
and three mor areas to load cargo
Hey guys, I’m enjoying doing small hauling with my nomad but are considering a new ship for larger mission. I think the ships that I got recommended the most is freelancer max and Connie Taurus. Which one do you recommend? For solo hauling missions
so do you pick the atls up with tractor to put in in the front cargo area ?
yes
I use the big one
havent tried with the multitool yet
but dont think it would work
@stable comet
plenty of space
I like that paint actually!
I have whale blue #sc-screenshots message
Dumb question but what’s the default key bind (if any) to move the tractor beam turret to the rear on the C1? I can’t seem to make it move from the default position. Can rotate and use the beam, just can’t get it to move down the little rail.
For keyboard I should add.
Pretty sure its “S”
It was…. I only tried W since I was pointing backwards…
Thanks haha.
Haha no problem
I can’t seem to change the range on the ship-based tractor beam. It’s not scroll wheel like on the hand held…
Alt+Scroll wheel
Of course it is 😆
Taurus can hold a lot more then the MAX. Also note that because of how items are packaged right now, the useful load of these cargo ships is less then their actual load.
If a job says you'll need to move 100 SCU of cargo with max 8 SCU size boxes, that means it'll likely contain 12 8 SCU boxes. On grid, the MAX can only carry 8 boxes of that size, even though it is capable of carrying 120 SCU. (Check the fit chart and divide the job's cargo size by the container size to see how many boxes of that size you'll have to move.) A Taurus can handle 14 8 SCU boxes IIRC.
I did bounty hunting till around half a milly, then rented a hauler for 24 hours to do trade runs, works pretty well for me till I can grab a vulture
My mate usually does hauling missions to start up but personally find it too infuriating lol
Only problem I've got with hauling missions right now, is the buggy physics engine that can mess up a job by making a box fall through the hangar floor or something. (Haven't gone to any outposts though, so I don't know how they're doing.)
Mine werent able to complete
I just did small "Screenshot run" from Microtech to PT to Baijin
might try cargo later
everything would be delivered but every mission would show -38/38 or something similar
and hitting Submit would fail it
lost all my rep due to it
the missions seem quite reliable now, they track well as far as I can tell, I have been missing a few boxes and submitting was fine for me when I needed to use it, here's my current haul:
that said I think I'm about the get done by a dying server 😄
Someone else on the server had the same issue so dunno. I was using Hull C auto load and they were doing standard hauling
worked fine on the PTU but Live fucked something up
What's the approx max SCU for contracts that aren't in the "Hull C" category?
As of now I can't do any at all due to the rep loss
I didn’t even know auto load was a thing. You can do that with hauling mission or is this from TDD terminal ?
works for missions
just have to be careful about which ones you pick
Dumb question but how do I autoload?
go to a LEO or jumpgate station and call ATC Cargo instead of normal ATC
theyll send you to a big Box floating outside the station
Sorry I'm asking for a C2 at a station
i think its on the commodity terminal
I tried using the Hull C and got pissed the docking port doors wouldn't open
in the newest patch? supposedly fixed
Ah maybe I'm blind then
i didnt get to test it
it worked once when I flew it up to the station then I logged off and on to switch some settings and then wouldn't work anymore
oof
I bought some cheap cargo for a trial run and calling cargo ATC did nothing as well
So I'll just give up until 4.0
It's bought ingame anyways so idm as much if it doesn't work
Wouldn't even do trading to be honest, spent a bit doing it fine today then just lost four crates to what seemed to be a good server
Managed it in the end ATC was being a pain (not giving me a hangar on the first call)
auto loading on missions is only for the Hull C, I'm not sure it's even intended to be used with the smaller missions (there's missions for 1000's of SCU, these would be the Hull C ones.) For C2 you need to load manually in the hangar
I was testing the starter missions with Hull C
Ah it looks like I needed to stow the ship and then select it as target for purchasing at the tablet, so I guess you can't auto load cargo that's in station event inventory even it's not mission related
Auto loading is available for commodity purchases at the terminal you buy/sell, your ship must be stored at the location
Thank you at least I'll know for next time. For this trip I'll just load myself since I already bought
I can't see how that would work since the starter mission usually deliveries to an LZ where you will not be able to use the Hull C for unloading, they need to add to the mission description which ones are Hull C compatible
its a pain in the ass but you have to go through each one and see if they go to LEOs or jump stations
usually 8 or so you can chain
how much are the Raft and Catterpillar this patch? They looked cute and some variety helps with boredom
raft wasn't much to rent, its what I'm using at the moment
I wanna say like 60-80k for the day
3.5 and 12.5 mil approx
Cat is my ship of choice right now
Alright maybe I'll grab a raft to do some planetside trading when I'm bored of using the C2 in a bit
Just be aware of crates dropping through the floor every now and again
If it does and you keep hold if it though you can still drag it to the elevator, just for some reason now it always drops them for me
Alright thanks a lot
If anyone uses Uexc crop for cargo is there a way to mark a premade route as completed so it can add it to tracker for you or you have to manually put your sale?
Well I guess it gives something to do while in QT if it's manual
Is that just with the Raft where that’s happening for you? I haven’t had issues with the C1, but I was thinking about grabbing a Raft for fun. I like the Argo aesthetic.
Also, how’s it work for smaller crates? Can you snap any size cargo to it?
I was using 8 scu then went to 16
Seems to do the same with both
I thought it might have just been the raft to be honest with how it holds the cargo like maybe its getting stuck when you unattach it and shooting it off somewhere
is atlas working for anyone?
btw theoretically?
For hauling / trading
RAFT vs C1 vs MAX vs Zeus CL?
Okay so I've just realised, the piece goes invisible when I did 8scu it was like stuck under the floor, with these 16scu i've been looking at the floor and dropping them, they're just like invisible till you get to the platform
Is it new that pressing right click while lifting a box stops the tractor beam?
It was working for me, except it keeps putting holes in the ramp of my C1 when I walk on it 😆
for me its not working on more then half the boxes. i click tractor and my tractor aims to the top right
not grabing anythinng
I’m bias to the C1 because it’s so bloody fast. But you can’t do a medium cargo haul mission with it.
Oh weird. I haven’t seen that happen yet myself. Anything consistent about the size of box you’re trying to pick up?
actually i just went and grabbed a hand tractor
my boxes are being fucked
even that is having problems. so may be server
Yeah now I've sold everything I've actually lost money trading with boxes fucking about
Can you auto unload if you store your ship or you have to empty everything by hand? With a C2 at big station
Not sure with C2
fast?
in QT or atmo?
I mostly look at SCU
96 RAFT, 64 C1, 130 MAX, 130 CL? (not remembering exact values)
Fast in QT and under thrust.
the big thing about cargo ships is the space you actually have. like taruas you basically cant use the back room and its main cargo grid is 3scu high. most the big missions use 8scu boxes so you lose out on alot of cargo space
Using the raft even just for 18 to NB and back would benifit from something like a C1, not sure if my cargo would be safer to detach when its stored inside the ship rather than on the exterior
yeah but you can change engine in other ships to be as fast
idk, I will try to run some comparisons
No stats for Zeus CL yet
but I feel like RAFT is definitely 1st or 2nd (on price / value / running costs / effectivity)
fast unloading (32 SCU containers), huge range (so you dont have to stop / you can run paths others cant because of low qt range)
Oh the fuel is amazing on the RAFT, apart from losing boxes it's actually been quite good after getting used to handling the weight
I started with 480k, I'm not at 850k but I've easily done over a dozen trips so with the boxes lost it just hits so much
Does this happen to you guys with other ships? With internal storage
C1 beats MAX for range (with same engine), RAFT beats both for range, beats C1 for cargo space, MAX wins on cargo space hmmm
idk what else to compare
for cargo hauling, other than range, price, cargo space
Also hydrogen capacity - for running stuff on planets
where RAFT has 2,3 Million, C1 has 700k, Max has 600k
C1 is fastest in atmospheric flight (or idk how to call it - the modes under quantum travel)
Might go for RAFT lol, the interior is just a nice bonus
well, it depends on what CIG does with the packages
Someone told me if you buy an upgrade to Zeus with 120 month insurance, it will apply to the whole pack
so that would maybe change my decisions 😄
I'm running with the trio of RAFT, C1 and Cat atm. Only just got my Cat back, @mild pumice are you finding this most effective for multi-drops then?
Yeah it's great for the senior multiple drop missions as they're around 300-400scu in 16s so I'm making use of the difference compartments for their own commodity.
300-400 pretty much the top end?
(for regular ships)
nice nice
catterpillar was a ship I was looking at in 2015, but didnt want to spend as much
The ATLS is serving my well, I move the boxes from the FE to the loading area withe the ATLS then load/unload with the maxlift and then move to FE with the ATLS again. Saves a lot of time
Nope there's 500-650 ish in 32s designed for the C2 I guess and 2k-4k designed for the Hull C
Nice, I guess still dooable with x2 cat runs so not that bad.
Feeling like getting the Cat back was a good call 😁
Nope you can't get 32s in the Cat
I'm avoiding the C2 missions until they improve the ATLS loading it's only good right now for shunting
They're too painful for my hand with the maxlift sadly
The ATLS is really helping with just moving the boxes into position to load tho
So you're not pulling boxes in direct from FE to the Cat? Interesting
The only thing I noticed, it doesn't tell you what's in the box like the tractors do which is annoying
No just to the floor by the bays then loading with the maxlift
So I drop 5 by each bay then use the precision of the tractor to slot them in, the ATLS is too janky to place them
Unloading is a reverse, I drop them on the floor then use the ATLS to move them to the FE
But you can’t change how fast the other ships look haha. The C1 just looks like it could outrun anything haha.
I'm still pissed that vice smuggling is gone from Stanton. C1 was my dedicated smuggler and there's no better ship for it IMHO. Hopefully they restore it
But I also love everything about the Raft, and I really want to run some long haul routes with that too.
xddd
Started flying it 6 weeks ago and fell in love with it straight way. Never leaving my fleet
I used the C1 loads for the junior/member missions
do I have to do the contracts if I want to do cargo hauling?
you can do commodity trading by visiting outposts and then selling at trade terminals in the major cities. More risk and you have to put investment in up-front. Hauling contracts require no investment and are reduced risk
what do I have to do in pilot seat to opereate the tractor in C1? change somthing?
Gotta get in the copilot seat.
ok but then ?
Loading the top left 32 SCU box is nearly impossible for me, do you have any tips?
Make sure you leave the ship powered up from the pilot seat, and flick on the separate co-pilot power switch.
Then look to your right for a switch to engage the remote turret.
Usually that means your power isn’t on.
Again, co-pilot station has its own power switch that needs to be on.
does the RAFT tractor beam work?
Hold F and right click the button for Deploy/Retract, then Enter Remote
You can also setup a keybind for Enter Remote Turret. (there are 3 keybinds you can setup, since some ships have multiple remote turrets) And use S to swap positions while in the remote turret.
Thoughts on the Conny Taurus vs the Raft? I rented the Raft for today to play around with. It handles like it looks haha. I love it, but I’m so used to the handling of the C1…
Plus the Raft isn’t quite able to do every medium cargo mission.
So just wondering if anyone’s experimented with the Taurus in 3.24 yet.
Anyone else have an issue where cargo services does not work?
its being very delayed at some of the outpost
Trading is so hit and miss now
what do you mean
Them dam lifts
at the outpost gotcha
Yep
there is a big delay right now on the outpost lifts
if you tell them to do somethign wait a minute or 2
Love the game but they need to fix this. They bring out a mech atlas to help move boxes about but outpost lifts are broken
So what is point
I noticed a lot of systems getting slow earlier so I logged off for the evening, I wonder if RMQ is failing, that was part of this patch wasn't it?
for you to spend money
Yep fck thst
just remember guys, if your not trying to play, then they get less info on whats going on
Them lifts at outpost was broken in last patch
this is the same patch,. just a 0.00.1 added on
Yeah unfortunately we gotta break these systems for them to evolve
sorry 0.0.00.1
Are cargo missions fixed this patch or nah
fixed?
I tried to sell my cargo by using the freight elevator to put it in local. It shows in local but won't show up at the trade kiosks. Anyone have this issue or know a work around?
I've tried several times to complete some but its a new bug every time
can u rent the carrack
why would you want to rent a carrck
tarus with ursa medvac, now you got a carrack that can actually do cargo
and shot guns
Yeah but it's like a million lol
i still wanna know why you would want to rent it
you cant do cargo with it
You should be able to do auto loading bugs aside
But no way you'd break even in your investment and that's assuming it the server gods are on your side lol. I guess you could get a few boxes in the front
Definitely a sweet spot for getting cargo grid detection with ATLS + Cat, I see what you mean @mild pumice
not always easy/possible
I've mastered loading it now, 3 x 16 with 2 x 16 stacked on top each bay, anything extra or 8s in the front and 1s & 2s on the other side of the walkway.
Keep a little space in the front for Garry (I called my ATLS Garry)
Yeah, I'm literally learning what you just described now 😁
Create an account or sign in to Issue Council. Track bugs on and vote on the issues to help the development team identify what to work on next.
I think that's the biggest single issue for the stuck on transferring to warehouse
i love that everyone uploaded a pic, its great lol
hey if a vessel full of cargo crashes in a armstice zone what happens to the cargo?
is it just on the ground at the wreck?
Anyone who owns a caterpillar how do you like it for the new cargo missions?
Tried both in 3.24, both ships worked great but the working tractor beam on the connie won it for me. RAFT has a super low insurance claim time and has tons of fuel capacity so you never have to worry about being stranded...so one may be better depending on the situation you're in, especially so when larger systems (Pyro) come into play
I just made the classic error, getting out of my seat during QT to wander my ship (I rented a raft and wanted to check it out on a long route) and suddenly ended up in space while my ship kept going. Oops 🤣
atls is weird sometimes to move the box placement maker further back you can just move the mouse forwards, other times you need to scroll the mouse wheel
dont get it
Hull C working for cargo yet?
You can use the Vulture in the armistice zones if the ship is properly abandoned. Not sure about the cargo really.
tl;dr no
or I should say, not for the haul missions
I know not the mission, just cargo, it was bugged in 24.0
I've heard that's particularly bad with the Raft.
It's great once you get the larger multiple location missions, just be aware it cannot take 32scu boxes but the seperate compartments are good for organising your load.
I kind of assumed they might have fixed that issue, but lesson learned. At least it was no huge loss on this run.
I don't expect them to put effort into trying to fix that because they're planning to replace the entire QT system with a new one. (Right now you're not actually moving at high speed, you're being teleported from one spot to another, over and over. And I guess sometimes you can get "disassociated" from your ship and left behind.)
Ah, interesting!
The new QT system will undoubtably have it's own slew of bugs at first.
Do the higher tier missions eventually work up to 32 scu sizes? Biggest boxes I see atm are 8 scu
In theory there should be Hull C sized missions between LEO stations and the Jump Gate stations
Yes once you reach experienced rank you get Medium missions (up to 400scu x16) and Large (400scu+ x32)
I'm doing the medium in my Cat
Sweet! Good to know
Yes there's also missions 2k-4k designed for the Hull C but they're bugged
Really would be nice to be able to have some control over container sizes though
Is the cat not a total pain in the ass to load?
Has cargo loading been fixed on the Hull C yet?
Hello i've got a question, so i've got a Polaris pre-order reserve. shouldnt i have an XL hanger? atm i only have Large. is that because the loaner is a HH, so i'll only get XL when Polaris actually comes in this autumn ? :<
I really want a container breakdown and combine service in my warehouse
I believe that’s right. You don’t get a bigger hangar until you get the Polaris.
cool ya thanks 😮
Yeah like Kininja said.
I'm pretty sure it just gives you the biggest hangar for what ships you have available in game
poopy :< okie
and theres only 2 styles atm right ?
Aeroview and the Swift delivery/industrial one ?
Aeroview and Self-Land are the only hangar types available in Stanton. Also, ships bought in game do count towards hangar size, but it won't be calculated again until the next patch. (So even if you bought a big ship, pledge store or aUEC, you won't get a bigger hangar right away.) The Reclaimer I bought in game at the tail end of 3.22 got me my XL hangar. 🙂
If you bought 32 scu containers at outposts, I'm sorry to say you're out of luck 😢
Commodities cannot be repackaged in any way at this time.
I bought 120scu of 24scu containers
and the 120scu elevator
wont let me take my cargo
I just want to split the stack of 5 containers
into two
For hauling missions: are they getting more profitable and have more large hauling missions as you increase reputation ? I haven’t seen large hauling mission yet. Is it simply because I don’t have large ship (yet)?
I'm mid-member atm, have a Hull C, only seen medium at most.
if there are large, it's locked somewhere higher than member status
Don't know for sure, but the 120 SCU capacity of the elevator might not mean 120 SCU made up of 24 SCU containers, try bringing it up in smaller chunks.
Maybe someone will make fit charts for freight elevators of various sizes.
Is this an acceptable place to share IC links? I reported an invisible barrier in the station cargo elevators and need 7 more reproductions to get it Confirmed.
#bug-hunt-chat or #1209672602227048458 are you best bets
i dont think there any specific rule agains tpostng related ics here though
Got it posted here: #1284770491445542912 message
Sad that they aren´t be able to fix this horrible bug... try the other scrap yards or hop servers.
ATLS does not persist if you store it in a ship and store the ship
It "destroys" it
Wait no it just popped into existence
lmao
It isn't on the ship though, it appeared next to the lift when I lowered the lift
I had a weird experience where my ATLS and I fell through the reclaimer's elevator when I got out of my ATLS. Even weirder, when I got back in (on the hangar floor) I became incapacitated. (I did have an undersuit, armor, and helmet on, so even a weird lack of air shouldn't be an issue.)
Mine stayed on my c1 when I stored it but it didn't have a marker when it came up on the elevator
I mean . . . I don't own an ATLS, that would be a cash grab!
i like C2+ATLS combo loading/unloading is fast
Yeah I had the same last night with the Cat. Left it in the forward cargo bay, but it actually appeared at the side of the ship
hi is chaining multiple hauling missions for same route worth it over 1 larger mission reputation gain wise?
sure, as long as its the highest rank mission you can get
so if youre junior dont take rookie missions anymore
You should be able to right click > split stack just like you can normally in inventory
I completely forgot to put Hull B into the comparison of cargo ships
wait hull B isnt in game yet?
nevermind
Hull B needs to get a move on, lot of people waiting for that 🤩
Hull B + C combo is going to be amazing
hmhm
I got the mercury star runner to try, what SCU do people usually use with it? Realising 16 scu is a bit too big to fill it properly
Does ATLS have thrusters? Can it maneuver in space?
Roberts Space Industries is the official go-to website for all news about Star Citizen and Squadron 42. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch, as well as all the community tools used by our fans.
Yes or no would have worked 😂
But this worked too
3x 24, 9x 4 and you can pop a loose 16 by the door
24scu fit the grid exactly, with 1s and 2s on top and in the second grid. Lots of empty room in the cargo off-grid: around the grid, in front of elevator, components room
Oh perfect, can I still move the 24s with the maxlift?
I was debating using a loose one as well but at the moment trying to make profit back from losing boxes with the RAFT
Thank you @mild pumice @visual night
Yep you sure can
As of now the maxlift still works for all boxes up to 32scu
Amazing! Hopefully make some work towards that Vulture today
Good luck!
Finding the ATLS is working well with Cat loading/unloading, few niggles but I'm pleased with it.
Just need those damned bay doors to either angle down more or change so that they slide away underneath the fuselage.
If the ATLS had a very limited hover capability, say, 6 feet off the ground max, that would probably be useful for loading the bigger ships
it works great with C2 just need to find proper standing position and you will be loading/unloading cargo like no other
Is there a way map tractor beam distance to a slider?, the mouse wheel is going give me carpal tunnel if I move boxes that way
If you right click to aim there is a distance gauge that is somewhat handy
Ohhhh, to a slider. Do you have a HOTAS or anything?
Yes
Which one?
In fps/on foot, I use a thrustmaster for movement and mouse for aim etc
It has a slider on the base, which I can map to other analog inputs, like mining power etc
Would be great for controlling tractor distance
I think you can also just bind to a simple key and hold it down
I'm not in so I can't test it. I use a wheel on my hotas and that's been good enough for me when turreting. When on foot, I already use a logitech 502 which has an unlockable mousehwheel so that's been a boon as well
I am curious how effective a slider would be though, if one end is min distance and the other is max which are already values each tractor unit has
where can i rent from ? i wanted to explore a few places like whistlers crypt
rental desks are at all the major LZs, in the spaceports usually near ASOPs
you can also rent ships from cargo decks and refineries but they are just cargo ships + Roc/Prospector
on sctradetool, what do the listed times for routes mean?
arent you alittle close aka. FE would say elevator obstructed?
Too much even, get closer
well i rotate C2 as much as i can but cannot rotate it like this in Large hangar
Man i hate junior rank as it feels slow to progress rep to next level
I have bad news about member rank for you then
nah i just need to gain access to missions meant for C2
that would be experienced rank iirc!
whats the payout for missions for each rank does anyone know ?
like im assuming the highest rank payout missions isnt gonna be like 35k xD
cause thats kinda a joke
it already pays like 45/50k for member rank
so probs round 100k/120k for master probs?
true
but its fun
just chilling
but it sucks that even for 9 cargo I have to use DUR, because 315p cargobay is dumb and cant realistically load more than 8 SCU (massive skill issue on my part, but i spent like 20 minutes trying to load the crate and nothing came of it)
rip. for the cargo missions i've enjoyed using the Freelancer Max and the Taurus as both have just enough cargo space for the Medium size missions
is there a trick to loading the top left crate in the C2? I tried quite hard but it always feels like it gets stuck on something
skill issue
Experienced Rank is even worse news and Senior is
But at least it unlockes large hauling right
Yep!
I’m new to the game and I really enjoy hauling. I did rent a c1 but it’s quite challenging to land properly.
Is the Taurus // FL Max easier to control ? Or I guess I just need more practice
Patience and a steady hand. I'm an old fart and my fine motor skills just aren't good enough any more. I tend to stack 24s sideways instead of the 32s lengthways and that is a lot lot easier.
probs a bit more practice! taurus andf fl max fly worse!
MAX feels fine to me , but 100% agree on Taurus you can slam nose into ground if not carefull
Ok! Thanks!
Renting it was really profitable. I’ll continue to rent it until I can buy with AUEC
Is the C1 Spirit considered a good ship for med haul? Or 💩
Land slow
officialy it can carry 64SCU and can load 2 32SCU containers, but of you have a patience and will you can get 96SCU into c1
yeah for me works best if i land without moving foward
not helping that i abuse 600is landing gear and keep forgeting i need to be carefull and avoid doing it with C2
Is any of the outpost lifts working
so, through a bug ive got a fully loaded hull c stored at magnus gateway, any way i can retrieve it without loosing the cargo?
can you use the Hull C for Hauling missions?
can the co-pilot in a c1 activate a remote view for the tractor?
Yeah, it’s a remote turret so once you power up the co-pilot station you get a Birds Eye view from the tractor beam.
not sure
Mercury Star Runner, managed to get the usual 24x3 9x4, then an extra 18x2 and 1x16 spare in the extra space
Also, the C1 does have VTOL thrusters that can help if landing on a planet. But the C1 is my daily driver so I have lots of practice haha.
figured it out, c1 tractor is useless haha
Try getting out of the seat and back in after hitting the power. It can be buggy. The button to the right that says “deploy/retract” should change to “enter remote turret”
It’s generally faster to just use a handheld, yeah.
yea, i figured it. janky and sad this is the solution.
how do you retract or extend the beam then lol
alt + scroll wheel
interesting
its the same for all vehicle beams
think people get confused from using the maxlift and that
The alt+scroll got me at first too. Like, why make it different from the handheld tractor beam? 🤣
Maybe rebind it to just scroll?
I think the reason it’s alt+scroll in ships (mining laser intensity is the same) is because scroll is the speed limiter (which I use a lot when I’m too lazy to use my HOTAS - which is almost always when I’m doing cargo and mining haha)
hows the haulin going tonight ?
Not good boss
damn terminals always dodgey
Can't get it to work
Cargo terminals still not working?
Has anyone addressed this issue to the devs yet?
Devlins Scrap on Euterpe worked for me last night
Brios Breaker did not
I am about to just stop playing this game till they fix it tbh.
Which terminals aren't working for you?
The only one I've had any problems with is Brios Breaker Yard
Almost all surface station ones
The mining outposts
I can’t buy or sell anything. I have changed server 3 times and it still doesn’t work
Is it infinitely "loading contents" or whatever?
any good website for trading?
My daily trade 🙂
Nice! Which website is this? Pretty cool
Whats autoload costing per box size?
if the server errors the elevators are fucked, only thing that fixes them is if the entire server/shard restarts normally which is not often
Thank you
anything you would change on my freelancer max? https://www.erkul.games/loadout/aTQqcsS9
@faint river its uexcorp
do we have any sort of idea when the cargo lifts are gonna be fixed? i dropped all of my capital into gold last night as the lifts were working but as soon as i went to load up they were bugged and i've tried a few different servers but still no love, do i really have to start all over again lol?
@left python uexcorp
how i felt trying to sell my weevil eggs
yeah it suckssss, atleast you didn't have to buy them!
You didn't buy 32 SCU containers, right ??
you need to buy own SCU containers when doing trading?
sorry im new
thought its just go to a commodity trader, buy items send to ship and go?
You can choose the size of the boxes you get when buying commodities
But outpost can't take boxes bigger than 24 SCU
Afaik since 3.24.1 you shouldn't be able to buy bigger boxes than the outpost can handle, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore
from one of the drop down menu? i see
can you buy ships in game or is it only renting?
you can buy
where
New Deal
A18,Loreville and Orison
loading my cat lol - real time about 15 mins
this bug with ATC ignoring the first call then reassigning your hangar when you call again is getting very old very fast :/
oof 😦
well I finished myt mission but having to leave and recall a few times till it finally let me keep a hangar lol
If you outstay your welcome it deletes any cargo you've unloaded so need to be really careful with that bug!
oh shit
havent had that happen yet
sounds serious :/
@mild pumice you usually haul solo?
yeah pretty much
when you call ATC sometimes it ignores the first request, you wait a bit and wait some more an realise they're never going to answer then call again, awesome, they grant you gateway immediately... So you go and land, then the first call you made, remember that?
That then calls ATC to request take off and it usually happens half way through unloading so all your stuff disappears!
Oh shit sounds fucked up 😦
does it fail the mission or you just have to recall it from the elvator?
If you ever need a homie just hmu!
cargo is gone, if you have delivered enough you can submit and complete the mission otherwise you're better off hitting alt-f4 and hope to avoid any rep loss, a fail is instant relegation to illegible lol so avoid that at all costs
Yeah I know
i was almost experienced and got set back to rookie with 1 mission failed
this is about 10 missions - the grind is real, if that get's reset to 0 I'll cry lol
each one takes around an hour :/
no more small local deliveries once you hit senior it's all 300scu+ solar medium/large
Im half way trough junior
Lets go! 🔥
Doring working days im limited in play hours so can only 1-2 short runs
good to know..
Junior also feels grindy, but i try to stack missions if its same route as much as i can
I might try a quick cargo buy/sell run in my Cat
Fastest way to increase max is to pick up interstellar contracts.
nice little pickup in my Cat, 8x 24scu and 8x 16scu of Diamonds 😄
great I got in my ATLS, fell thru the hangar and died
- let's hope my Cat and 1.5m of diamonds still exist!
I remember now why i don't do trading
i had big brain moment yesterday when I realized I can accept multiple small hauling missions to the same location
another big brain moment was realizing DUR is a crappy piece of s...
"36 SCU of cargo space" oh yeah? where????
from what I counted it was 24
8 in the section next to living quarters and only 16 in the back (4x2x2)

what happened homie

I landed at NB, got the ATLS out, got in it then saw myself falling, died, ship and ATLS both destroyed , 1.5m of diamonds gone lol
I went back to NB but the hangar was gone so no way to get to the cargo even if it was still there
i just tried using the Hull C for a hauling mission, and it was loaded fine, but when unloading the cargo goes negative instead of positive, so you cannot complete the mission
don't submit that or you will be negatve rep - best to alt-f4
yea ive gotten used to using task manager when i run into issues where i cannot complete the mission, like broken lifts or missing cargo
I feel like .1 is worse than .0 I might take a break till .2 or just salvage
I had almost no issues till this .1 patch
I know others have so maybe I was just lucky!
i feel like its the local hauling missions that are broken, planetary/solar/interstellar seem to work fine
I'm having a lot of issues with ATC not responding then reassigning the hangar
i dont think ive run into that yet, other than when someone is already at a distribution centre im trying to land at
Guess I could rent taurus for cargo running?
but it would be tedious to load it right
so better to just do trading instead of hauling, as you can unload it via console?
the loading isnt that bad in my experience, i think that main upside to doing hauling missions vs trading would be that it needs no investment other than the ship
you can accept multiple missions that go from the same place to the same destination(s) to sped up gaining rep and also to make more money for each trip
That section is just torture
yup definitely
i just decided to ignore it and slammed cargo all around in the back
I think I fit like 25-30 SCU in there
The freight elevator at the Hurston Scrapyard is bugged, do I keep my cargo after logging out in my ship’s bed?
what is evidence from security post khareah worth?
Should, if it doesn't bug out.
And if it's not cargo from a contract
Does anyone know how to get the “cargo awaiting transport” pop up off of my screen… the dumpers elevator was bugged but I put a sell order in and now the pop up won’t go away…. It has been in the middle of my screen for 2 days
Do you suggest getting an ATLS Argo suit to do cargo hauling missions?
any work aroudns for commencing cargo transfer freeze bug for Hull C?
I'm at Devlin's again and I want to sell all these weevil eggs but the freight elevator won't work. If I log out now on my ship and rejoin on a different server, will the cargo stay on the elevator just as I placed it? Or will it despawn?
Cargo will stay, as long as it's not from a hauling contract
Are these elevators frequently bugged?
Alright. Thanks for the info. I'll attempt some more server hopping.
Only if you bedlog
Some ships seems broken for bed logging.
Can I find those narcotics contracts at Crusader as well?
Like the connie
I've only been around MicroTech.
Taurus just worked for me, thank goodness.
Drug bunkers? They're in every system, but MT salvage yard pays the most
The one with the broken elevator in three different servers haha.
Which drugs are the most valuable in the bunkers?
Maze?
Maze if JT is active and weevil if not.
JT let's you double dip on maze sales from mission rewards when you sell at grim hex
What Rep do I need to attain for Crusader Industries before they offer me those missions?
Like 2nd or 3rd stage. Not long
I found that grim hex didn't actually want any of the weevils.
No demand, apparently.
they need to give more clearance in the C2
because holy fuck its a pain in the ass to get crates on top of other crates in the c2 and do a full load
A lot of ships are tight on the second stack
any recommended ship to grind hauling ranks? im at rank member, currently renting a C1. i guess thats fine for now but already thinking of the next step up
Best thing to do is the local deliveries around Microtech, there's 6 you can stack that go to 3 locations, you'll need a fair bit of room, I did them in my Corsair that gave me plenty of room to seperate the boxes into 3 drops
C1 should be good maybe in that case you just stack 3 or 4 at a time
and whats with this shit where whenever 2 people are working on crates and one accidentally grabs a tractored crate all the tractor beams in the area go to supporting instead of being able to lift and hold the crate
No idea but in the future you'll need to beams to move some crates but they haven't said how that will work exactly
Thanks! That’s helpful! I’m getting used to the c1 so I’ll just rent it for a few more days.
Basically 2 missions to payback the 1 day rent
Mixed reports, missions load now but go into negative state and cannot be completed. Not sure about commodity trading.
No, only the 4 LEOs and 3 jump stations
how's ATLS? other than the price tag, does people find it useful?
It pairs well with the c1 and c2
It's great for moving boxes around and sorting quickly but it's not great for placing boxes yet as it has very poor collision detection and the boxes end up getting stuck, smashing against each other, stuck under cargo ramps and bulldoze through everything in their path.
Hauling contracts have given me high blood pressure I don't even know how that is possible
seems when I want to complete a set of missions one box dissapears and fails one mission
Junior rank is ACTUALLY PURGATORY
You should get partial money and rep for a partially complete mission. If you lose one box, just submit the mission and move on
And relog should avoid rep loss vs pressing abandon
Guys where can I go for Hull C routes
Noted
whats the new hull c routes?
is hauling the only missions that we increase reputation/rank or is there other type of missions as well?
Hauling contracts are the only contracts going towards your hauling reputation
No it's broken, generally won't be able to complete contract
interplanetary solar missions are the best rep boosters delivering back and forth from station to station or to jump gates like terra and pyro.
*i meant interstellar
thank you, have a good one
is there any use for the Hull C at the moment?
The hauling missions I've taken I was able to do, though on one occasion a box glitched underneath the hangar, so I only got partial credit for that one. (The box later appeared in the warehouse at that station, so in theory I could sell it at an NQA, if it was worth doing.)
There are missions for the Hull C as I understand it, but I've heard that there are issues with actually doing them that need to get fixed.
And you have to grind rep up to be able to get those missions.
thank you, I got the missions, just was wondering if the Hull C is worth getting, ... guess not, thanks, all the best
Hi. I’m having trouble with my ATLS where I can’t pick cargo up off my ships grid. How can I fix that? Any easy fix
Haven't seen that with a ship's grid, but with a freight elevator grid the solution seemed to be to get really close to the container
same its an invisible wall
Yeah sometimes for me it just acts like the box doesn’t exist. I have to unhook it from the grid to get it to register
I’ve had the wall thing too
It just randomly started working. I’ll chalk that up to a star citizen being star citizen
Anyone knows when the Argo suit will be available for aUec?
New stuff usually has a 90 days pledge only period, after what it becomes available next patch
as Zorgh said, but question is will be also locked behind hauling rep
finally
Doubt
presume you're doing those in the Hull C now? Or multiple runs in a C2??
I will test that tool
i did not accept this, im waiting till the hull c is fixed
For route instructions it works but :
- Don't show the correct route on the map, locations are wrong (Edit : i did another test and this time the map worked as intended)
- Don't calculate the aUEC per run or per hour
- Don't take the ship capacity and max SCU boxes that fits in the shop which would be nice
• Conclusion : 4/10, unless you do more than 2 contracts at the same time with multi drop off locations and multiple commodities : useless cause under 2 contracts it's not that hard to figures this out yourself.
But that's a good start towards a useful tool, that's could be one day what I am looking for.
@crimson mantle I was thinking something like this : let the user enter the data, no importing in game data which would make it easier to do
The map part isn't that necessary btw
but it would needs a way to set the payout to each missions to determine an approximate aUEC per hour or at least per run
taking in consideration the ship to have SCU capacity and max SCU box sizes that fits would be a nice bonus, based on that.
It would tell you if you can or cannot do that run based on you remaining capacity available and based on the size of the boxes compared to what your ship can take. But not necessary tho, just a bonus if possible
I've no clue what message you answered I keep trying to click it but discord won't show it

o7 Zorg, sorry for the ping, it this message :
it was relevant for my point that's why
That could be a good thing, but off grid space is also valuable.
If you were to listen to ship limitations only, you wouldn't take 32 SCU boxes in a caterpillar, despite it fitting like a charm off grid, two in each compartment
The chart in pinned messages is supposed to show grids using largest possible boxes, so you can see it here.
There are a few errors tho, it's not entirely accurate, but totally neglectable error
I've been looking at implementing a mission tool 🤔
Currently being discussed in https://discord.com/channels/832608007313424444/1285302959189528588.
What I find the trickiest is the fact that the mission list can grow to absurd length once you have a few levels of reputation.
Manual data entry of even ~10 missions can become quite cumbersome 😕
CIG, APIs when
I gave you my thoughts in #mission-tool
Can we send things to our own warehouse in friends hangars? Or can you only interact with your inventory via freight lift in my own hangar?
It's something they want to add in the future, have a watch of last week's SC Live they discussed it further
so right now if i send a box of something in a friends hangar on the freight elevator. who's warehouse does the box go to, mine or the hangar owners?
Haven't tested it myself but my assumption is it go to theirs since it's their hangar.
okay. ill test when we're on later. but thought i'd ask. thanks!
I'm wondering if it goes into his hangar if it'll be tagged as stolen. Will be interesting to find out.
The stuff goes into the warehouse of the person who sends it down
@mild pumice
That's really cool! Thanks for updating
Yeah I was under the impression you could access your ships and warehouse in a friend's hangar since it was tied to the person that interacts with the terminalm
Which makes it more risky to run trading, as pirates can run up to your elevator and just take your boxes
This let's you share a C2 and one person unloads the front and the other the back into different elevators to split the cargo
Any terminal you access is always your own
You cannot access someone elses warehouse
It also allows it to be safer in that once you send the cargo down its safe, so you can protect it easier and not get murdered at the terminal.
I guess if you've shared a mission it should be safe for mission cargo too?
Ships you spawn in someone elses hangar is also gonna spawn in your hangar, not theirs.
The other nice pirate side is you can hijack player and NPC ships and manually unload the cargo.
Instead of shooting down a hostile NPC C2 filled with cargo, disable and board it, take it back to the planet, and sell it all.
Would be fun to run a 3 man crew for ERTs, scan all the ships to identify which ones are stocked, and then systematically disable, board and each person gets to take their claimed haul back to sell.
Do the doors for the caterpillar's cargo bays go down to ground level at all?
No. They're supposed to one day, but who knows when that'll get worked on
do we know when we will be able to pledge zeus mk2 CL?
Likely not before October 19th, which is its most likely release date: CitizenCon
Also this is supposedly fixed, probably on the hotfix channel, haven't tried it though
how long to load that?
Also it doesnt make sense to take the big ones right? Because the small missions give almost same amount?
at least from what I saw
Quick question, i hace a couple million and was wondering if vulture was still worth the money ?
Yeah it still prints money, it takes around 90 mins instead of 45-60 to get a full load (24+13 in the buffer) but that's still 500k
You should replace one of the cinch with an extra abrade as it's much faster salvaging with 2x abrade
Its for the HULL C basically!
do you need to know how to salvage or is it beginner friendly?
@mild violet it's quite straightforward, suggest watching a YouTube it's not that challenging it's a pretty relaxing gameplay loop
There's a specific #rock-and-stone chat too
okay i will check it out 😄
what's the most scu they can ask for hauling missions? so far I didn't had more than 96scu but I guess it goes higher with rep growing
The rep hit for failing missions is way to brutal
I keep failing missions because of bugs and then I'm ineligible again
Experienced rank you get large missions can be in the 1000s (for Hull C) you also get a selection of medium (300-400) in 16s which are perfect for the Cat and you get 400-600 that are in 32s which are ideal for the C2.
how rewarding are the Cat and C2 ones pls?
here ya go @pliant matrix
76k for 3118 SCU? No thanks
damn that look so random. 33k for 500scu while 120k for 400scu lol
yeah it's a bit of a mixed bag tbh
still that's good income for a pretty chill gameplay
Oh here's a medium experienced rank (ideal for Cat)
ngl you can make 2-3 small rank missions in the meantime
the senior ones obviously pay more but they are 3 or 4 drops so take longer
if you pack your missions it's even less interesting to take those 30k ones
yeah they're not that amazing tbh I did mainly local missions on member/experienced
but I'm enjoying doing the 120k missions in my Cat for senior 🙂
I want to use my C2+ATLS but not worth it with my current rookie missions (filling C1 tho) so I gotta grind more to get the good stuff
I use my ATLS with the Cat, I posted a video yesterday 1 sec
here
It's not so great at placing the boxes so doing that by hand still - but it can pull them out and dump them in the FE just fine so unloading is really quick
Might be a dumb question, but can you only do drug smuggling from Jump Point/Private property during an event? The kiosks to buy the drugs aren't there when I go to them to buy the contraband.
There's multiple places to buy drugs. Check UEX wherr you can buy them. The Orphanage around ArcCorp is one of them
@cloud robin Fairly new, what is UEX?
It's a website
You can see commodity prices, where to sell, where to buy
Also host of a community run marketplace
Is there anyone who can share a couple hauling missions? I ran into some bugs and my rep went from member to not eligible
boxes disappearing in hangar - known issue or not?
luckily boxes were empty - also does anyone know if there is a limit to how many can be strewn about in the hangar?
There is no limit, it will just start to lag the more boxes you put
thanks building a huge fort rn
boxes are dissappearing from the walls of the fort causing problems structuraly
wish they snapped together!
anyone please?
try "looking for a session"
I'm looking at both kekw
mods usually say something when posting in the wrong section (not that i care) just passing it along and hope you find a gig!
Noob question, I started playing only a few days ago. What is the actual risk with doing hauling missions? Other players can kill you at any time? If so, you loose your gear?
How to know if a ship is an npc or another player ?
I’m trying to understand the risk for hauling and trading.
Trading, they can kill you and steal your cargo?
If they have a space in their name they are an NPC, if they don’t they aren’t
The hauling missions are pretty low risk, in around 150 I've encountered 1 NPC interdiction and I was AFK at the time and they didn't even destroy my ship lol (although I got back just in time as 5 ships were about to wail on me!)
The way you can tell players and NPCs apart is a player's name is always a single string of characters, an NPC will be named seperate words like Tom Jones or Bill 'the killer' Miller.
The cargo hauling missions are low value goods so of little interest to cargo thieves, they're more likely to be hanging out at Outposts that sell high value items like Gold and there they will try to sneak onto your ship and take it.
The only risk to failure is mission giver reputation and obviously the time you spent along with any gear you lose.
Thanks! That’s helpful!
hello. I just got the atls and tring to set it up with my controler with no luck. out of the box i can move forwords backwaords and strafe side to side but can not turn??? is it a gound vehicle or on foot, something esle???
It uses the mouse input to turn so your look bindings should be how you turn?
Right stick I'd assume?
doesnt seem to work. Im gonna try using the hotas
That's interesting I wonder if they bodged it adding seperate controls for turning. I'd assumed it was just like walking but in suit. I setup ground vehicles turning and throttle/brake on a controller once (for the PTV race track) I remember having some issues getting that working
yeah i cant figure it out. just useing the mouse right now.
did the new patch fix the broken outpost lifts
I think outposts are a deeper rooted issue
It's either degradation or some way that players are interacting with them either intentionally or not, they seem to be failing way too quickly
I know certain items can break them, I just hope players aren't sabotaging like the idiots who were blocking stations with boxes
Not salvage yards if that's what you mean
Brios Breaker Yard has been broken for me every time I go there, but Devlins Scrap and Salvage works
Anyone else getting containers that are randomly disappearing from hangers?
line up about 13 of them in a row on the side and next thing I know 3 are MIA
Good chance they clipped through the ground
I’ve been having problems when I go to pick one up, it clips right through the bottom of my ship or right into the ground before I can lift it up
Also been happening on cargo grids
On a side note, wish we could get in the future, a large flat plate, that had its own cargo grid. So you could store containers in your hanger a bit easier either for quick access to items or just from off loading a ship and then move it to the cargo grid
did they fix the elevators on the outposts?
no
guys is there a short and safer route for newbies to try trading? i tried to follow SC-tools, flew out to SCD-1 Shubin Mining Facilities to trade, 1st attempt shot by some ground NPCs and died. 2nd try pirates in a cutlas black destroyed my 300i
getting real frustrating. wanna do something safer to earn some credits
i dont have anymore credits
i have only 30k left
or how can i configure the sc trading tool for only near new baggage ports
lower profit margin is fine, i wanna get some credits in mah pocket
I'd recommend hauler missions instead of commodity trading. A ton of outpost elevators are bugged. Moving crap from station to station is safe and quick. Stack several missions, as much as you can fit, to and from the same places til you get a better feel for it
hauling missions are best
hauler are annoying because i have a small ship, my 300i only fits 8scu
and it takes work to fill 8 scu 😛 stupid hit box dont work well
I wouldn't do cargo in a 300i
if you have the money rent a cutty black or taurus!
easiest money in the game is salvaging your own ship (ideally hammerhead) in a reclaimer. you can join someone else doing it
oops lol
i had several hauling missions when a server crashed, now im stucked with tons of cargos that doesnt have missions associated with them. How should i handle that? just throw it in the space? keep it in storage?
Can't it be sold at no-questions-asked terminals?
is there one near port tressler?
Devlin's scrapyard, but it only accepts a few commodities that are in the cargo missions (titanium, scrap, hydrogen...). GrimHex is the best choice, but it's quite far away - and especially the low-level missions are usually about cheap commodities, not really worth the trip.
are there any gold trade routes that actually have working elevators?
Anyone know some good trade routes for the C2 at the moment?
nvm, i just read about the bugged outposts. I'll stick to Hauling for now.
hauling? 0
as in, you stand to not lose any UEC
compared to trading
So far calling this patch "Cargo Empires" is about as accurate as calling cats and mice friends.
Nonsense. The elevator is the emperor and he only accepts your tribute when he decides he wishes to.
100% accurate depiction of imperial court 😉
Any recommendations for when the C1 has a 32SCU box just glued to the cargo bay?
I can't get it out no matter what I do and it is just stuck to grid shaking
Try grabbing it with a max lift? And sometimes quickly turning on and off the tractor can unstick a box if it gets in a weird state
Did you store the ship and retrieve?
I just landed in for the pictures above - I then tried to store and take out and got the same result.
I couldnt get it to work with ship or hand held multitool. I didnt have a max lift to try =[
Multitool can't handle 32scu crates, which I think that crate is.
Unrelated side note, I managed to wiggle a 32 crate out of a C2 with handheld by using the rapid on/off technique. Not sure if its because of janky server fps or not, but if anyone wants to test that further
Most of the time I see a stuck box, I can unstick it in one or two attempts:
- Tractor beam the box
- Apply tension, either aiming a direction or scroll wheel to pull
- Click to cancel beam, box should start moving
- Click again (quickly) to tractor while it moves
Not sure but that might also work for "mass exceeded" with the multi-tool
Probably should have replied to the guy asking about unsticking a crate lol
Senior rank is a proper grind I'm losing the energy to continue lol. I've been doing a bit of salvage and tried BR to break things up. Back on topic I wonder if stacking 3 Experienced Rank missions will give = rep to one Senior, will have to try it, really missing those local deliveries
i've already lost the will to play the game after member rank Lol, don't know how you got there
The grind truly feels hopeless because of how long everything takes, and how expensive stuff in game is
manually loading, and unloading also makes me want death
I was really enjoying the local delivery missions but I'm finding the multiple drop solar ones (this is the only option in Senior) quite tedious long loading and long QT times each one takes in excess of 1hr and it looks like it'll need 60-75 to progress to Master. I'm about 15 in
yea one missions having like 4-5 different stops, is absolutely draining
also the cargo being mixed up in the ship once you load and having to sift through it all just doesent make it worth it
Would be better with help but sharing the reward and rep would hurt.
yea this game really does discourage multi crew gameplay
I'm running my Caterpillar and sort each cargo by compartment so it's not too bad
I run one aswell but, sometimes it just goes slightly over and you need to move a couple of boxes over
Maybe I'll hire a loader and pay them the reward money and I'll just keep the rep for myself lol
I cant be bothered to even log in, this actually feels worse than a job
might be done for a while until cig actually makes stuff affordable and or work
Cargo empires has really been a huge letdown for me and with the introduction of the atls as a paid option ive just lost interest
I have a feeling things are only going to get more expensive tbh. I'm making ok money but I don't really need to buy anything in game due to being a whale
oh, you cant afford anything in game, buy a pledge instead with your IRL wallet!
I feel for anyone who starts off with an Aroura and 20k
I really dont think its possible to start with an aurora
like having to spend four hours to get like 1/3 of a rank of rep is unbelievable
anyone who says I should spend more time in game is coping
I might jump on my alt account (just an avenger Titan) and see what the new player experience is like!
im probably just gonna free up the 80 gb's of this game and go back to elite dangerous
my crew isnt having fun and neither am I unfortunately.
Loved ED but I played like 4000hrs of that lol. Getting my Fleet Carriers on 2 accounts was a grind lol
I really just dont like forcing myself to spend 3+ hours on a game with so little rewards
Senior rank alone is going to be up to 100hrs
yea, no that's just unrealistic
I dont know who they are expecting to play this game but its not gonna be for the casual player
I think they intend gameplay for all players you don't have to own every ship in game to complete it for example you could literally just be a mid level pirate nomad or something
dont know, but its not for me
How bout just don’t do the stuff you don’t want to do
And do the stuff you want to do
until what rank will I be able to run cargo with DUR?
I read that with each rank the size of "small" missions increases
Junior I think
anyone has any tips on how to sell 1/8scu boxes of drugs ???
Maybe a bit higher but the freelancers kind of suck with the split grid
i tried to sell them while they were loos on the floor
tried to put them on the cargo elevator and it wont take them to inventory
placed them on ship cargo grid and still cant sell since they need to be 1scu sized there
well tbf for hauling you dont need the grid anyway
as you have to do it manually
It also doesn’t have a lot of off grid space
But it’s hard to move stuff up to the front grid
WHY GAME??
i just took it away from the elevator since that didnt work
Cargo contracts are so damn broken 😞
Well not the contract themselves
But most places that you have to go to have jacked up freight elevators
Either the boxes won't place on the cargo grid
Where there is a freaking invisible wall in front of cargo have had this happen in the freight elevator and even after I loaded it onto my ship and then trying to take it off
I like the introduction of the ATLS has made it even worse with the changes they've made to tractor beams
whats a good cargo ship?
My only gripe with the tractor beam is the scrolling it would be nice if it could be bound to the side mouse buttons push/pull
Depends on what you want to move
The Hull A and RAFT are good for small/medium hauls, easy to load, obviously they lack some security. I like the C1 as a small mover.
Your best bet atm for all hauling missions is the Freelancer Max
Moving up Freelancer Max, Corsair(lots of space off grid) and the constellation Taurus are pretty solid. For the larger hauls there's only really the Caterpillar and C2
but all Medium Ships atm are not fit for Medium Hauling missons all they only have Cargo grids that go 3 high and most Medium missons go to 8SCU and you cannt stack them
The Corsair fits 15x 8scu boxes off grid
Yeah i've fitted many in before but had a few times where SCU boxes fall out in transit so can be a pain!
And if you know your 8 times table it's pretty easy just to avoid missions you know won't fit your ship.
But the order for me is Avenger Titan to start, Cutty Black/ Hull A (Depending if you stricly want cargo) upgrade, Freelancer Max Upgrade, Conny Tarsus Upgrade, C2
I do think they should add 64scu target size missions tho
I think they will when the Hull Series is out beyond C and the Cargo depot are fixed!
doesnt the starfarer hual a lot of cargo?
I've never used it but if its anything like what i think it will be it wont be an easier loader like the Reclaimer probably has a cargo elevator
but honestly not sure
The issue with the Starfarer is it has a really small ramp/door would probably be a pain to load
One ship I forgot to mention that I enjoyed using for small local deliveries was the Nomad, cool little pickup truck
If you are looking for a Larger ship the C2 is the best without a doubt but its super boring the style the flight its just Boring, if you want something with character and little more fun the Caterpillar is great!
@frosty sentinel they're fixing it!
It all depends on the contracts you take. Some of the smaller Member contracts only need room for 3-5 x 4scu and a couple of 1 or 2 scu boxes.
YAYYYYY
ALSO HOLY SHIT U REMEMBERED ME
Depends but there is one at Member that pays 42K
Now i am very curious if the Hull c and the planetary contents loading bug is truly fixed!
Taking stuff counts as destroyed right?
no
I usually just abandon mission after getting all the eggs and maze
Just what's in that screenshot is about 200k
if not more because maze
Yeah just those 5 maze is over 100k by themselves
what ship? :o i'm intrested in doing some cargo
I did it in a cutlass this time
Titan has plenty of space though
What I have in that screenshot is about 3 SCU worth of space, Titan has 8 SCU
What I did though was not a cargo mission per se
You can accept cargo contracts though just make sure to check how much SCU it's asking you to transport
You'd have enough space for this one for example
Another Titan size cargo haul
All you need is your ship and multitool with tractor attachment
Today I have learned that the order in which you select cargo in the Freight Manager changes how it appears on the lift
If I bedlog will I lose my cargo? Has anyone tested since most recent patch?
Bedlogging will cancel any missions in progress. If the cargo is from a hauling job, then it may still be there but the job will be gone and the cargo flagged as stolen.
The cargo should stick around, unless there's a patch. (Which is not likely right now.)
Outpost is infinitely "transferring cargo"
Note that outposts can't handle 32 SCU containers period.
I don't have any that big
But it is 2.8mil worth
So it about to be a 2.8 mil lesson if my cargo disappears from bedlog to switch servers
Then bedlogging and even region hopping should be fine, but it would be best to do that somewhere away from the outpost. 🙂
3 servers now
Had the same problem yesterday i finally found the right server after several tries but at least i felt through the ground at the elevator and lost all my eggs 😭
There’s probably a hole between ground and the elevator’s ramp… I will try to jump next time.
Took me hopping to 8 different servers
