I may have mispoke, because I focus primarily on cargo trading. But I do recall that they do want to offer the autoload option for those who do the cargo hauling game loop. So that is coming if not already implemented
New reason to appreciate ship-based tractor beams: armistice zones. Went to a planet-side place and didn't realize I couldn't use my hand-helds
Kinda annoying that that is even a thing tbh
My handheld tractors work at planetary outposts?
They work on pads only
Oh, are they THAT specific with how and when they work?
i took all the extra small cargos from bajini to area18 and still have room for another
at 13k a piece i got 7 of them
early game in cutlass is easy
There's a couple of DCs that are bugged, the tractor doesn't work near the freight elevator but does on the pad which is a bit too far away (something to do with the armistice zone I think) otherwise they work perfectly at most DCs
Yeah I got to the elevator and went click click "wtf?, ahhhh"
Yeah pads and hangars and then outside armistice
Was it gretcat production A on Microtech?
Which is a little problematic if you get the SCU crate bug where you need to get at them from the right angle/side.
Lol yeah actually
Yeah it's a bug, I reported it on IC
Appreciate all IC reports!
Workaround is to request a hangar
Yeah DCs have hangers you can dock and load in private, useful for the bigger jobs
Good to know. I've only been to a few and the first one I tried requesting a hangar and never got one so I figured it wasn't a thing. Though the numerous abandoned ships around it probably meant it was bugged
The others I think are all OK
Has anyone tried boosting their friend's rep with higher contracts?
I'm gonna see how much my friend with zero progress in hauling for a member contract later tonight. Should be interesting to see how much he gets even if it's split between the two of us
I don't think so
Yeah sometimes it doesn't extend
You can still dock to the invisible bit but obviously you can't access the station
Am I the only one who things the 300Is cargo hold is really awkward to load? Just tried to load it and it refused to accept a container in a spot where i could have put a container
No, it's very tight to load, it's been this way since cargo was physicalised but the new patch exposes it more
Titan
A lot of ships need a pass really, Carrack is a really good example, totally useless cargo pods
I would get a Titan but the 300 series just looks better
Wdym totally useless ? You can absolutely load 450 SCU in boxes of two through the middle doors
If it's about looks I can't help you
But rn, 300 series ships are only nerfed Titans that look fancy
Except 315p, has unique stuff
Tractor beam and more cargo space
The best advice I can give is to get a video or some screenshots and there's feedback threads on spectrum, one for vehicles I believe and cargo, make a contribution and hopefully the devs pick it up, you can also check IC for any reports to update
I knew when I got the 300i the titan was the better option so it's not like I'm unaware of that fact
I might at some point
300i was the first ship I bought in game back when I stated playing
I have a 325a at the moment that seems to load OK but it's only 4scu, good for a loot box.
At some point I want to get a better cargo ship anyway for when I need to transport stuff from the refinery
my favourite of the starters is the cutter tbh
fat as hell but one hell of a small hauler
The Hull A is super easy to load/unload, for more security/capacity the C1 or Maxlancer are a good option. If you want even more capacity I can recommend the Constellation Taurus it seems perfectly designed for the current cargo loops and the tractor beam is well placed. I personally use my C1 and Corsair mostly
I do like the hull A
19K for a maxlift ?!
free if you pull it off a cold dead corpse
damn that's expensive
a Maxlift
Yeah what's a maxlift
the 2 handed tractor beam for moving big boxes
is trading fixed
this isn't bad for 20 mins work
Be cool if the price was based on distance and commodity price
yeah I hope we get some extra missions like time based, high value cargo with risk of pirate attacks, that sorta thing
We really do need ultra high value low quantity cargo
Like computer chips or something
I put a box on my friend and it disapeared, now he is REALLY slow
As far as the new update goes, how is the Hull-C integrated into the new system if at all? I got one a while ago be havent played yet
For reference my only two pledged ships are the avenger titan and hull c so not a diverse set
It is supposed to be workable with hauling contracts but is bugged
Does anyone have a decent split of ships I should grab instead if I exchange?
It depends on your melt value but you may want to just hold onto it
It is still good for trading if buggy
$500 USD
Idk ship prices but hull a and caterpillar might work
This would be a good time to mention I dispise drake
Is the C2 or anything 150+ up for sale right now?
All the cargo ships pretty much on sale now, the C2 also has a Warbond CCU if you want to save a little bit.
so is anyone else getting their old contracted cargo staying in the elevator
Can you do auto loading with the hauling missions or are they all manual loading? If so how?
think only manual
ATLS Mech Suit is nuts guys
Where’d you get it?
only EVOs get it to test in 3.24.1
CIG dropped a bomb on us with this new mech loader reminiscent of Alien. To my suprise, it actually adds a bunch of functionality I didn't know we needed. Here's my yfirst look at the Argo ATLS
Check out the stream at https://www.twitch.tv/the5star

maxlift is officialy dead
It feels like the tractor tech demo'd should be applied to all tractor tools but downside of slower movement and less lift ability
Not to handheld imo, but def to ship tractors
It will be great addition for ironclad just keep 1 or 2 in garage
not far to go!
probably a dozen missions.... 3/hr should reach the next rank today/tomorrow 😄
anyone know why I can't get recycled materials from pyro jump point?
i heard the carrack cargo bay doesnt work, is that true?
Does it normally take a while to process an order when selling stuff at the TDD
how much do you get per mission now?
me trying to get Hull C hauling to work
@homicidalrabbits scroll up I posted 1 screenshot
the cargo grid works, the problem is that you can't get things in and out of the cargo bay. so you are forced to autoload each time
Only for automatic loading/unloading as they don't open, however at the moment some people are reporting that's also having issues
I'm thinking of buying a Caterpillar in game seems like a good choice for multi drop delivery by splitting cargo
Been having this same thought myself!
Could put an ATLS in the front compartment as well
Anyone knows the weight limit of the Argo MPUV? I load about 6 SCU and it just starts falling from the sky
Is Cargo working? Sorry, everytime I goto SMO-18 or other place, and interact with the freight elevator, the freight elevator has an error. Is this normal? Does it work on some server and if so, whats the % chance it works? So far, its 90% for me and all the patch notes seems to be addressing cargo missions and not cargro freight elevators
So far i found that the nomad was the most practical ship to do hauling
hul - cworking?
Haven't tried it but i don't think i'm risking anything by saying it's still broken
Freight elevators have been working pretty reliably for me (knocking on wood as I finish another delivery)
It’s very easy I just wish it had more space
The high traffic areas with high value commodities seem to be the ones that are commonly affected, FEs at stations and DCs seem to be reliable.
congrats!
Still a way to go to the next one... but making progress
I think it's senior > master left
i stopped even carring i do 3-5 hauling missions and as long as i make money each mission im happy
Yeah the rep will come. I'm doing about 3 a session too it's not too bad.
hull a worth it for ingame? really using for rmco hauling for vulture
Yeah Hull A is great for medium local delivery
raft any better? know it has bugs
Raft has 96vs 64 capacity it's a lot more sturdy, it currently lacks an operational tractor beam and the claws don't retract which makes attaching larger boxes a bit difficult but it's still a decent ship. I particularly like the interior, it's really well designed
Is it possible to turn off the markers while using a ships tractor beam because they make it really difficult to see crates if you have lots of 1scu crates
It's also now refusing to pick up crates even though its in range
Are the boxes at the back of the lift? Sometimes you have to get really close to the ones at the back to pick them up for some reason.
You gotta use a hand-held tractor from a side/different angle
Learnt that the hard way
I did use it in the end but it eventually started working with the c1 tractor again
I don't suppose there's any fix to a cargo elevator being stuck on "transfering to warehouse"
anyone have the ATLS suit that they can show off to me?
No, it's probably broken on that shard until it 30k eventually, can you use another?
sadly it's arccorp 157, so only one eleveator/pad
how badly does the rep get punished for abandoning cargo missions?
Sux, I'm seeing at least 1 broken now more and more as it's getting better, they need to add a failsafe when the location streams in/out
I've been doing some hauling missions and I think I'm starting to understand them but I do want some advice.
It's hard to find several missions where you pick up all of them from one station and then take them all to the same destination.
Sometimes not at all, if you've partition complete the mission just hit submit
You get part of the reward
Is there a different way that's better?
I did try setting up missions so it works as a route which worked well but it is a bit of a headache to set up but it is somewhat fun still
The missions change per rank but I've found loops/stacks at all levels and routes, you've just gotta look at them all and keep a mental note which match up, try other locations too as they can have better offering for your current rank
asops bugged?
Would it be worth renting a taurus for this as it has roughly 2.5x the capacity of my c1
asops broken rn ???
Yh
there's more choice at Hurston and Microtech due to the Distribution Centers
Ok cool
@brave lark here's an example of 3 missions I'm doing now that link up, I'm at PT now and I have two sets of deliveries to 4 locations and pickups as well that I can bring back:
this should take me around an hour I guess
I don't worry about the credits I just want the rep
I want both as I'm poor atm
I'll make my way to MT that's where my residence is anyway
any way of knowing just how much rep certain missions give or is it all random?
it seems to be the same as long as the mission you do is = to your rep, if you do lower rank missions it gives a fraction
I've tested small>medium>large as far as I can tell it's the same
I haved had to abandoned 17 haul mission, didnt hurt my rep
Would it be worth renting a bigger ship though for the higher cargo missions
LMAO
Meh, it's kinda random, I abandoned 9 mission without issue, but abandoning 2 made me lost from junior to negative inexperienced
lmao
sure if the pay vs time makes sense
lets say im doing a rookie mission. i seen missions to deliver 100+ SCU and ones for 7 SCU. would the 100+ one give me more rep compared to the 7 SCu delivery?
with all these tractorbeam and scroll movements, my hands started hurting, what ergonimics are you all using for hauling?
What do you mean?
not in my experience
same I can do 3 missions then I need a break, maybe some salvage, etc. Looking forward to the mechsuit
The 100+ scu missions aren't really worth doing if those missions are all you can fit in your cargo hold
what ship you have now? how about a Hull A or Raft? I'm stacking these 3 missions in a Hull A
like are you using a special mouse, joystick or anything else that your doing that reduces fatigue with all this tractor beam movements
I did quite a few missions today and my hands didn't hurt once but the c1 tractor beam is a lot faster for pulling stuff to the ship than a handheld beam
You could bind the tractor beam distance to a pair of buttons so you only have to press them
thats a good idea to try
I'm already pressing left alt if I use ship tractor beam. probably fun to bind the into a pair of pedals
It was years ago but I once saw that you could get a mouse where the scroll wheel can be set to roll freely instead of moving in increments so those would probably be better for the tractor beam distance control
Ill look into this. might be worth checking out
You don't have to scroll constantly. Scroll a little to set it in motion, it will keep going till you scroll the other way.
good to know
You are far better off doing four small missions at the same time (if you can get multiples to the same destinations) vs one big one
So which ships currently have the chance of blowing up because of a random box going under the cargo grid?
Any and all I'd say but so far just my C2 has exploded
Well, because I just had a Taurus blow up because of that
Yeah I think it can happen to any ship tbh.
I've ran over 100 missions now and just one occurrence using multiple ships (C1, RAFT, MSR, C2, Corsair, Hull A, Nomad) so it's uncommon thankfully
I used a Taurus in PTU but I don't have one in Live. I do have a Phoenix but there's no snapping grid so I've not used it although it should fit 96scu
I unloaded CMat cargo crates from the ship down into the warehouse but it can't find them to sell. Do we have to sell only when it's On the actual elevator grid?
No it should just be stored locally and available on the location's drop down to sell
I selected "New Babbage" no sign of them.
As long as you're at a location that buys the commodity and the correct terminal to sell at
At New Babbage Planetary Services
You're at the admin terminal right?
Hmm. Try a relog, my weapons box I sent down didn't show up until after I relogged, worth a try.
You did definitely send the elevator down? 100% sure?
Otherwise go back and check
this doesnt work, it eventually stops
@vestal ravine any luck?
Maybe eventually, but I haven't noticed any significant slowdown in the time it takes to get cargo from a ship to the elevator
anyone else having a problem with their hanger doors not opening
@stable comet nope not since PTU
doors arnt opening for me on most the stations
when thatr happens usually i just spam alt + n to open the doors until i see gateway granted text and door start opening
You can also buy a random item at a shop (not quick buy), and it will force update your inventory.
So like buy a drink or something. xD
How does one use the caterpillar tractor beam
Make sure you're not NAV mode, but in SCM mode
perfect thank you
i was told there was 2 tractor beams
is this true
Just checked no changes...and I brought up 1 crate to pad level Commodity Terminal not see it to sell.
So tested again a couple of loads-unloads with the C1 and Taurus, and seems like the Constellations overall are having many issues with boxes clipping through the grid
Running a Taurus should be taken with extreme care and only with large boxes since a single clipping will wreck the ship
has anyone had the issue where a piece of cargo snaps to a person, and makes them unable to walk?
Cant sell heph….whatever it’s called at A18, I’ve tried many servers and it just won’t work. I think it’s just a bug rn
anyone at rank 6 or 7 with rep yet? if so highest cargo mission payout?
i heard its around 100k
I keep havin issues with my Hull C with cargo 😐 sometimes the cargo arms wont unfold. Really need to get a new ship XD
Hull C are definitely the Alfa Romeo of spaceships lol
Question about the Raft:
How large is the biggest box that can fit in one of the three cargo spaces? Because I tried the largest I could buy, I think it was 24, but there was still space on the egde for more. Is it possible to buy a box this large as the original box of the raft, which was removed?
32 will fit but you have to insert it vertically or something, it was a pain tbh they really need to remove the claws or make the extend/open.
you'd be better off buying 16s as they will fit 2 per row, so 6 it total, with the 24s you will 3x 24 and 3x 8
nb. don't buy 32s at ground outposts, they wont fit in the freight elevator
Raft was originally designed for 32 SCU containers.
x3 32's will fit across the container bay, port to starboard direction
i have a question for the Hauling misssions.
do i get more exp the more Crates i haul or is every mission on the same rank with the same Rep ?
hows your rep @mild pumice
It appears to be the same rep for small > medium > large, more rep is given as the rank increases so it's almost pointless doing any missions of a lower ranking
I'll be dropping 3 missions off in a minute hopefully within touching distance of Senior afterwards!
so it doesnt matter if i do an 1200 scu experienced mission or if i do an 300 scu experienced one?
No as far as I can tell so I'm just doing the small ones tbh
good to know thank you very much
I will do the occasional large interstellar but I find that I could do 2 or 3 small missions in the same time
which planet do you ussualy do your small mission @mild pumice
I do my small in hurston
Are there small Experienced missions? i cant find any
Microtech or Hurston I switch it up, DCs are more reliable than outposts so I generally avoid those unless I want to combine looting
Yeah quite a few, this is my little loop I've been doing:
takes about 1hr ish - make sure you use a fast QD and I use the Hull A as it has 10,000 QT Fuel
There's quite a few nice local ones at Hurston too that go to 3 DCs, again you can combine a waste pickup mission usually
The local ones are definitely more efficient but these long travel ones are good for browsing discord lol
I feel like these could be done and farmed super fast with 4 people in 4 different ships
Ig you buy a bunch of hull a and take lots of missions
Was almost experienced, cancelled one mission bc i had to go, im back to rookie now
worst bug so far
@teal stream2 more (missions) to go I think...
that's shit 😦
Really is 😦 you do know how long it takes to get rep
yeah it's around 30 missions for Member 😦
i did make a support ticket since usually bugs dont take like 14 hours of work away so hopefully... 🤞
sooo excited for you!!
I'm heading back to Hurston for the last 2 missions. I guess I could've done one more loop lol but it was time for a change of scenery
I'll probably log off and never play again after I reach master rank
lmaoo
I'm soo jealous of those who get to grind with the ATLS, its just point and click
Hopefully they make it available to all and just the cosmetics will be pledges. We'll see
how many was your estimated mission to complete experienced @mild pumice
maybe 40 it seemed like more than member but not massively
I'm trying to make some calculations but I can't for the life of me find the cost of QT fuel. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
phew thats alot more
you said 25 for member right?
it was about 25-30 member I think so 25%-33% more I guess
I expect the next rank will be 50 or something
ohhh gotcha
lol this 890 was here yesterday
Someone flexing running cargo in their 890 lol
So many abandoned ships at the outposts lol. Again recognise them from yesterday, there really should be a cleanup on these!
I hope theres a salvage mission to provide incentive to clean these up
Yeah remove abandoned ships from xxx would be a great mission
Some have blocked pads/freight elevators so need moving but with shield up you can't do anything I think
QT fuel is usually a rounding error on my wallet, relatively inexpensive. You can see the price on the Landing tab in Mobiglass.
Uexcorp or trade tools might have a route planner that approximates fuel cost?
@teal stream 2 small missions got me over the line:
lets gooooooooooo!!!!
congrats!!!! @mild pumice
example mission - looks good:
interestingly I don't see any locals at Hurston, will check MT later after lunch 🙂
wait I now have almost 180 missions 😄
they really need two filter toggles, one to show only missions in the planet region you're in, and only show missions at your current rank or higher
yeah I just gave my feedback at last on Spectrum now I have made some progress!
I couldn’t find it on these sites. And I can’t play the game rn which doesn’t keep me from speculating. With C2 as a base, I was wondering if there would ever be a reason to consider anything other than a military drive for travel. Basically meaning time spent vs qt fuel spent (which has a cost attached) which right now according to you seems to be negligible. I guess as the game progresses (ie longer ranges) and the economy changes, it might.
oh wow senior is already 100k
Yeah right now, TS-2 and XL-1 seem to be the best even if they're not the most efficient. Fuel cost is so low that the time is more of a factor, and the C2 has a big enough tank to cross Stanton at least twice in it
I'll check fuel prices right now if I can get seraphim to assign me a hangar
oh boy my poor hands with those hundreds of scu
On this short a range, the 1 minute you seem to win between civ and mil drives don’t bother me too much (using erkul), but over multiple systems without stopping that kinda becomes hours. At that point you run your tank dry but at least you win an hour, then it’s something to think about 😅 thx for the effort
from seraphim, after relogging and jumping there from inside Stanton. About 1200 aUEC per 1 SCU, but actual refill quantity is tiny
Will a Medivac fit in the Caterpillar?
Wow, I thought rounding error was probs a bit exaggerated but yh, that is tiny. Ty!
Here's FoxyLoxy demo'ing https://youtu.be/nN7rX3E9If8?feature=shared&t=658
In this video we are gonna take a look at the complete list of what ship that can fit the URSA Medical, and thus be turned into a medical spawn ship, as well as some fun things happened during the recording. Enjoy!

Video starts at the Cat with that link
depends how good are you for first time dont be suprised if it takes 20min to do it
are you making a utility @umbral ember
utility?
trading calculator?
oh nvm it was the other one asking how how to calculate fuel
Probably a lot better then that, if it actually works, which is the real question
A little note too: Auto loading/unloading isn't yet available for hauling missions and isn't available at places without a hangar.
oh.. so I can only do station to station trades?
If you don't want to do manual loading, you could go to stations, cities, and DCs.
Except DCs don't sell anything yet
Where do you buy commodities because I went to the TDD and they only had scrap and waste
TDD is where you sell, where you buy depends on what you want to buy. And I'm not totally sure if any buy locations have changed or if prices have changed.
Prior to 3.24 I've used https://uexcorp.space/ for commodity trading. I haven't tried it in 3.24 though so I don't know how up-to-date it's info is.
Have they fixed the Connie's issue with cargo boxes glitching through the bottom and blowing up the ship?
is the outpost hanger infinite loop still there?
yes
of course daymar brios breaker yard cargo hauling is fucked
what did i expect
dont go to brios...
try to avoid planet side hauling for now
I brought rmc to new Babbage it saw the cargo on ship stated the selling amount but once down the hanger lift did not pay out. My team member landed the ship the hanger had his name on it. Also have not been paid for cmat from last night. What's going on?
I don't know but i mysteriously got a large donation of cash while hanging out in these random people's hangar last night while doing very legal activities
is there a way to fix the cargo terminals that will infinitely say loading content and transferring to warehouse?
That's weird. I know my crates are still in the warehouse.
any whispers of hull c being fixed anytime soon?
So, logged off when i had 2 hauling contracts open. I couldnt finish them. Contracts are abandoned but i still have contracted cargo boxes? how do i get rid of them? sell somewhere? or is this a bug
If you don't complete the missions you're now the proud owner of stolen cargo, just yeet it to the void. You can possibly sell it to NQA terminals but it's likely of such low value it's not worth the effort.
Tractor beam in Taurus is not working what to do?
not to insult you but have you turned in on from inside the turret? i didnt know that for the longest time
not just a keybinf but actually holding F and looking for the button
hmm. could be keybind then? i just got the mpuv tractor and had to go hunting for the keybind. Its under vehicles salvage and then it has the tractor beam keybind you can set
trying to spawn reclaimer on seraphim? we are unable to process your request at this time
reclaimer can only be spawned at cities
you can't there's no Hangars big enough, must spawn at an LZ
the message needs to be better tbh
LZ ?
It shouldn't even show on the ASOP so they must have changed something, or it's a bug (LZ = Landing Zone (aka City))
The only other place that has XL hangars is Grim Hex that's not on a planet
k thx
Can't a reclaimer also be spawned at Grim?
It can
Wish there was at least 1 more station that had XL hangers >_<
Yep I did add that after
Hopefully they sort out the docking ports at some point
is the front tractor beam on the MPUV fixed?
I don't seem to me able to move the beam, do you have literally move the ship?
yeah but can I not move the beam? is it fixed forward fire?
I read that wrong
the rear beam is a remote turret
it just seems off that you can't control the tractor beam direction unless I'm doing something wrong
yeah I guess it just fixes the box in front of you:
I tried 'G' so see if it's the same as the scraper arms, it does 'unlock' a padlock but does not seem to do anything
it looks like it should tilt and rotate:
Is Hull A considered an upgrade to Nomad? my nomad is broken (destroyed, cant be claimed) and i thought i could take the opportunity to upgrade to a Hull A instead, since i enjoy hauling
I think it is supposed to be 'G' to unlock it but it seems bugged or I'm still doing something wrong!
i thought it was fixed in front. the back TB moves though
Hull A has been a really great ship for the hauling missions yeah, I've used it a lot. However I'd really want to keep a ship like the Nomad in game it has so many more uses whereas the Hull A is just Cargo
Yeah make sense. I'll just keep it and hope they fix that destroyed state soon TM
The Hull A is pretty cheap in game, 1.5m
problem is, I have 40k 😄
i wanted to do salvage to make $$ but elevator bug is driving me nuts
selling to TDD is a hit or miss
you can rent the Hull A to try it out. You should make your money back easy enough
oh nice, i didnt know i could rent it
yeah they added the Hull A, RAFT and Taurus as well as some others
where do i check tar pits rep?
some of the mission givers don't have a rep system
if it's not showing under 'Rep' tab that's likley one that does not.
does the rep still matter or is it just not showing up
I mean it literally does not exist for some mission givers
soooo why cant you sell 32 scu boxes
literly just got 2, 32 scu boxes of weevil eggs
Because they didn't think about it
hows the senior rank so far @mild pumice
It seems to be mostly medium multi drop solar jobs, they pay around 110-120k but it's a lot of cargo 300-400scu x16
I didn't have it in me to do any today, maybe tomorrow! I was salvaging instead this evening.
I didn't see any local deliveries and only a couple of planetary medium jobs.
even on MT? it sucks cause thats A LOT
Nope no Senior Local at Hurston or Microtech
There's also the large Hull C ones and they pay 100k instead of the 80k from experienced
Most are pickup from a Legrange Point and drop to 3 or 4 LEOs.
experienced has hull C?
Yes but they don't work AFAIK
lmao
Any solution for not being able to sell cargo? I've tried moving it into station storage using the freight elevator (then using the kiosk to confirm it is in station inventory), and I've tried leaving it in my ship and storing it, but the TDD and Admin kiosks all say I don't have anything to sell. Is there some extra steps I'm missing? Character reset? Inform CIG?
Is moving these boxes 1 by 1 part of the grind or is there an auto load that I am missing? I’ve seen tons of things looking online but some say it’s broken right now?
Part of the grind as far as I know
I figured…Does the “heavy tractor beam” make things easier? Or is that just for ships and regular is best for our use case
I've not encountered any issues selling, everything I've sent down the cargo elevator has been there ready for me to sell at TDD (just to check you are selecting the correct option from the drop down?)
For haulage missions yes, it's intended for you to move the boxes manually. For trading you can setup buy and sell orders with automatic loading/unloading however there are some issues that players are reporting such as transactions failing.
Definitely get a max lift, or use a C1/Nomad/etc tractor turret
Yeah, it has both my ship and station inventory as an option, so I've tried both ways and the list is always completely empty
Try buying something. Otherwise try relogging and see if it can sell after
not sure what elese to suggest other than to get some evidence and update any ICs, looks like we might be getting a .1 soon ish so hopefully they fix it
Relogged, restarted and verified files several times, no good. I'll try buying something though
Thanks all
good luck
I'm off to PTU to try out the mech suit lol since it's open to all backers now
hopefully I still have my haulage rep 😄
Has the hull c been fixed with this recent cargo update?
Maxlift has way more range.
game changer!
cant wait!!!
Let us drive fork lift!
makes light work loading the C2 but a bit tricky to stack the second row high and easier to load from the rear!
21 x 16 took a <5 mins 🙂
Anyone experienced commodity terminals listing a buy price but then actually paying 0?
no can't say I have sorry but I've only sold RMC
Interesting, I have a friend trying to sell med supplies, but is seeing this
wait I saw that in PTU when there was no demand, the sale didn't go through
Interesting, so it says its in demand even when it isn't?
IIRC from PTU you could force the amount up even when there was no demand but it would show 0 as the sell price, pressing sell did nothing
Would be great to be able to sort hauling contract by distance etc. A bit like ETS😅
well the Atlas is great for quickly moving boxes but it does have issues with stacking or fitting boxes into gaps!
hybrid with maxlift prob perfect combo
This is what it shows. I'll try buying something, then I'll try moving some argo back into my C1 and storing it again, and if still doesn't work I'll try to track down recent IC reports and add these to that
completed 6 Member missions in around 2 hours on a caterpillar. anyone have better time? whats your route/ship/strategy
can i really not sell 8scu boxes in the new babbage comodities...
I wish the freight elevators would work in SMO 18. I have over 400 SCU of Gold sleeping there
You should
Anyone with the MPUV Tractor notice the remote turret beam gets all idk how to describe it but like fuzzy or something with the view. Like when I use it and try to move something I can’t see cause everything almost like out of focus. Bug?
Still find it dumb that RMC is TDD but CM is Admin
fr tho, like you would imagine "hmm both these places take salvage able material so i should be able to sell both in one go" but nah ig they needed another use for admin other than buying some commodities
I personally think the TDD should handle private trading, and Admin should be for auto loading and unloading of commodities for cargo missions. Would give both a use, while not making them inconvenient.
Anyone?
Are you going to elaborate on what buggy means?
The laser isn't grabbing boxes,
laser is pointing in different direction rather than straight
I put my ship in SCM and NAV mode still not working
finally @mild pumice
Try recalling it, sometimes it repairs certain special systems
@teal stream nice job!
Tbh 20min a mission is decent
That was the route I used to do as well.
I tried another 6 mission but this time not catterpillar, just c1 multiple round trips in PT
its faster to do it in c1 then caterpillar even if I didnt have to go back to station with caterpillar
around 1:30 mins
prob cause only 3 stops in MT
Oh yeah that was my route not the other, I used C1 as well
oh very niceeee
Still both good ways to stack up missions, I didn't find as good routes for experienced, let me know if you do.
which routes did you take for experienced?
I did the small solar to the Mic L1/2/3/4/5 two delivery/one collection so 3 missions, there was a 4th but it was the same cargo as one of the others so didn't want to get mixed up. Loop takes around 1hr in a Hull A with fast QD
Hull A has 10k QT fuel so no need to refuel during, fast QD needed for the 70+MM sections. Port Tressler sell the Mil B QD (same speed as C1)
No atmospheric delivery so ideal.
that is very helpful to know! thank you @mild pumice
here @teal stream
I took the route in a circle, L1>L4>L3>L5>L2 and back to PT combining drop/pickup as needed.
as you can see you have two very long jumps:
seems like a lot to keep track. do write stuff down? or you just take the mission one at a time on arrival
Good for grabbing a coffee or tanking a sh...
specially not mixing stuff up
I just tracked 1 mission and noted the amount of the other delivery and which locations and which were a collection although you will see your cargo to pickup when you send the FE down!
i see, with size 1 drive you have a lot of downtime. but pretty chill loop
as long as you use the Mil B drive it's 7min for the long jumps
i see so you write down the amount of the other delivery. thats how you keep track to avoid mixing them?
The same I guess as you did with the other ones?
gotcha gotcha thank you!
If you find any other loops I'd be interested to know
I will! thinking about logistics is so much fun
in what time does the demand change?
Every 5-10 minutes or so
It's only a small refresh everytime, takes multiple refresh for a full restock
If other people are selling at the same time, you gotta be the fastest to sell after a refresh
i was the only one at orision
i had like 9 refreshes
they took like everything
except beryl
thing is people can store loads at their warehouse now and just keep spamming it in there ship is no longer tied down by having cargo onboard
I wouldn't be surprised if we see demand get backed up with people selling backlogs
Stocks are shared across all servers of the same region
Quantum fuel, that's quantainium ?
I guess it's the refined product
Quantanium I assume is used to make quantum fuel. Raw quant is "volatile."
wouldn't mind raw quant delivery missions 😄
so I'm just dropping last lot off now so around 30-40 mins needed for this mission
Rep increase for 1 senior mission:
@craggy tapir Make sure you only do missions your current rank, lower ones give very little rep for the higher ranks. You can stack missions that go to the same locations, the local ones are normally faster and seem to give the same rep as the larger ones. Just be sure to note which cargo goes where!
Just don't over commit yourself as if you get into trouble and fail 6 missions you will want to cry.
I also avoid the busy mining outposts that sell high value goods like Gold/Laranite, there's a much higher change of their freight elevators being broken.
I noticed
If you do encounter a mission you can't complete and you have already delivered some cargo you can submit to partially complete but don't do that if you've delivered no cargo because I believe it counts as an abandonment.
How much per hour can you make with the high rank hauling missions
I don't really look at p/hr earnings tbh
The 120k senior missions will take about 1hr so I guess that's the answer, I don't know Master rewards yet but following the pattern so far I expect the same missions will be 150k
@craggy tapir A tip for loading to multiple destinations plan out where your dropping cargo off and load your ship in such a way it makes it as fast as possible to unload at each destination.
I did find a route with member local deliveries where you could stack 6 missions that took around 1hr/15min and yeailded about 200k all in but was high risk to carry so many missions
Im already junior rank and rented the cuttless black
And did some runs
yeah I loaded my ship in 3 piles, one for each location so it was just drop n go.
I want to get a cat for these cargo missions
My biggest outpaying jobs is 27k per run
Can organise different destinations cargo into different modules
That is indeed nice
yeah I'm saving up for a Cat in game now
I actually have the CCUs to upgrade my Valkyrie to a Cat but I'm hesitant to make the change lol
Whats ccu?
I like the raft the interior is awesome but those claws piss me off too much
true
pledge upgrade
Does the raft have a tractor beam?
There's a n operator platform and everything LOL
good buy
60bucks instead of 66
A cargo cutless would be cool
Bigger bay and side doors
And tractor beam by the doors
The Cutlass Black is the intended cargo cutty.
my fleet lacks a solid trader at the moment, I'm going to add an Ironclad at some point and I get Hull C/C2 loaners for the BMM so I'm kinda set for now. The C1 is my daily for smaller hauls but I did pick up a Hull A in game. Corsair is surpassingly useful it can take over 100scu off grid.
I have the the full set for the Galaxy so that does have a cargo bay option
The Carrack will be good once it gets working cargo pods
is the taurus, raft or cutless better for hauling?
I say Taurus
Functional tractor beam, and more storage
For now obviously, it's not intended that both RAFT and Cutty beams don't work
Depends what you're moving for larger hauls yeah the Taurus but if you do local jobs the C1 is better.
Cutlass is nice with the side access tho
Side access 🤤
cuz renting
Cutless -22k
taurus -190k
c1 -90k
renting the cutty seems more profitable
Yeah, and you can always fit more cargo off grid
Taurus doesn't have a huge off grid, but can still go like 260SCU instead of 174
While C1 can do almost 150 instead of 64, and Cutty 120 instead of 48
now im waiting for orision to take the beryl

since yesterday my freigh elevator was bugged
where can i sell reclaimer cargo?
orison has demand in construction mats i believe
Be careful because last time I tried to sell cargo it broke and wouldn't sell so I lost cargo
My fleet lack solid trader yet has BMM in fleet
One day... one day
dont worry i also have it
i just loaded 2 4scu, 1 2scu and 1 1scu box into my cutter
Railen before bmm
What's currently the best commodity to haul in a c2?
how
c1 so goood!
Magic
What are the best commodities to trade atm
so I've been out of this stuff for awhile but I seem to not be able to buy cargo and store it in my ship? Yes I have the money, yes I already tried multiple ships and nothing seems to work, I'm probably being dumb but someone please point it out xD
did you load it into your ship from cargo elevator by landing pads? with 3.23 we got physical cargo we need to move instead of it magically appearing in the ships
ah that's it, god do I hate immersion
a small price to pay for sc updates
I don't have a multitool with me
Can we transfer rmc to a rental ship and sell at new babbage?
yeah as long as you're the owner of the cargo it should let you sell fine as long as you move cargo to elevator first, autoload/unload fucks it and sometimes steals your stuff without pay
We just had that happen at Area 18. Plus it auto stored the ship. Lost 12 crates of rmc.
I never use auto unload typically leave on ship, get the sale notice, then transfer to the elevator.
One advantage to this change is that you can now actually move cargo with any ship including stolen ships since you don't need to own the ship for it to be transferred into the cargo elevator.
Though now you have to store the ship instead of just be in range of the station in order for it to be automatically transferred, which makes sales at places like MT and such slower (since you could land next to TDD at MT).
Auto-loading/unloading is only possible in a hangar with ship stored now. And it's buggy if and when it does work.
could try lorvile cbd, rn uexcorp says it's only 59 auec difference from orison
seeing a lot of people in other places and on spectrum say they can't sell at TDDs
I've sold refined ore at A18, but don't think Beryl was in it. While auto-unloading worked once or twice, for the rest I had to manually unload and then go sell.
There was gold in the ore though.
Orison is completely broken
Terminals dont work correctly
Freight elevators are broken
This is a train wreck
Last time I was at Orison (my primary residence) it was working fine, except that one elevator car is missing the hangar button, but trying another elevator always worked.
A Lorville transient hangar is where I had problems
Anyone else have issues with the elevators in SMO 18?
yes they're broken on most servers
i've been server hopping till i find one with working elevators
Been to 3 main city TDD's trying to sell Vulturte RMC all have problems that leaves Hurston as my last shot unless some patches help out. But my friend is going to rent a ship and we see if he can get a sale then he will be my new banker.
I sell at grim hex. Probably a profit loss vs other ports, but hard to tell when it's the only place I can get to auto unload my reclaimer
Does cargo still glitch through the bottom of the Connie and blow it up?
can i move ship parts now from home planet to grim hex/station?
You have to load them up yourself, but yeah. Small shit in 8scu containers, larger shit your better off just tossing it in ship as is
I believe it is supposed to be fixed but haven't had my Connie out to test
@limpid sluice @leaden monolith if hangars are perstisten, can i lay the ship parts around and back space wake up in home planet where all my ship parts are? im buying like 20 attrition 3s from lorville. move them to orison then move everything i got to grim hex
Pretty sure your hangar is only persistent at your home planet
okay ty
Parts snap to grid now tho, if you hadn't heard, it's tedious but doable
gah. what if i just throw them in there without snapping? will it register?
Fine for ship but I believe it has to be on grid for the freight elevator to register
Otherwise it's 'an obstruction'
okay. its all going to be attrition 3's and 2's. about 40 total. u think it will fit? it should right? in a c2
Definitely in a c2
The size 2's might fit enough in an 8scu crate to be worth using a couple
Not sure if the 3s will be worth a crate though
Someone needs to make a cargo calculator tool
can I unload cargo first or do I need to sell first
I think you can just sell from the station inventory so i'd say you can unload it
yes i witness it firsthand twice
Wasn't the workaround to have the Connie a few feet off the ground to unload?
I upgraded my MSR to a Caterpillar since I had the Warbond CCUs in hand, let's see how it is for those senior haulage missions!
Caterpiller has been treating me super amazing so far with cargo missions! Especially with multiple people
Also back to member rank after that insane setback
Oooh cat is perfect for those numbers, as long as they 16scu boxes not 32
then its perfect
should easily fit
can fit 3 8 boxes per row, officially 2 on 8scu on top of those 3 but unofficially easily also 3
so 2 16 scu on top, 2 16 sideways in front
best to load manually or by ship tractor?
yeahI have the graph here of the grids 🙂
i always park backwards so i have the "good side"which isnt obstructed by the catwalk on my right, and park it like this / with the front close to the freight elevator, that way the tractor beam on the big right wing can easily get everything out in front of the pods
then use the maxlift to just get them that short distance into the pod
so wait the best access is on the wrong side to the FE? that kinda sux
will give this a go ha ha
i have it directly different
like with ur butt to the right side of ur pic
that way ur pods can see the lift !
yes
so if this is /, i have mine like . Apologize, i fucked up in my earlie rmessage i realize
thats why i always land backwards
loading seems to be going fine, still have the connie it came back up lol but it's not bothering me now:
the Atlas will speed up shunting the boxes around so it should be a nice loader, just a shame the catwalk isn't on the other side. The boxes go in well. 5x 16 fits in each slot nicely and then I'm putting all the add sizes in the front and I'll divvy them up at the drops.
@outer ridge is there a way to get into the front hangar? I threw some small boxes in I'm worried I wont be able to reach them, I've been up on the catwalk but don't see a way down
Its thru the main hallways, its a stupid layout. Small boxes fit underneath the catwalk in the normal boxes and on the sides, i usually traverse using the opened "ramps". If you really need to use thre front the only way to do so is to do it first
also i super recommend loading from inside the pods
its way easier and quicker!
Ah so one loaded you can't get there? I'll have to empty the first hatch and then go down the ladder I guess? Cheers for all your help, I've done the first drop, slow going whilst I get used to my new ship! The Atlas will be a godsend for moving the boxes arount the hangar
I heard the Caterpillar had a tractor beam how does it work with the separated compartments does the turret move to let you load different sections?
Yes exactly! its a ship with a bit of a manual, but its actually really good this patch imo ofc
Atlas will be such a gamechanger
its amazing for getting things out of the elevator and close to ur pods, but cant put them into ur pods
Yeah I'm enjoying it's quirkness tbh, much more interesting than the C2
also when unloading i usually just dump it in front of the cat, and use the way stronger ship beam to dump it into elevator
It has a beautiful interior for sure!
that box must've glitched out - not there anymore so I'm 2scu short!
It's my box now
lol. My guess is it got spat out when I closed the bays before taking off and it's sat in the Hangar at Cru-L1 where I started, I may nip back and check before I submit the mission
I'm not sure what the penalty is for being 2scu short, maybe it's just worth finding out lol.
That's what big piracy wants you to think
wasnt too crazy for me last time but too scared after i got set back 2 and a half rank
I got paid the normal amount and gained what looks like the normal rep so I guess there is a percentage of lenience if you're a tad short
So you're saying we can commit cargo fraud to make some extra cash?
I've put stuff in a cargo pod, on the grid, using the Cat's tractor beam in 3.24. (I actually used my Cat for the intro hauling mission. Overkill, but it worked, and I just wanted to fly it.)
I've also been able to fit a 32 SCU container (from a 3.22 C2 salvage mission) in the Cat before, it just would not snap to the grid. Which I think they should fix, but I'm not holding my breath.
how did you generate this map?
found it on google, here's the clean copy (I just screen grabbed it)
nice map isn't it? kudos to whoever made it
its really nice! thank you for this!
Just missing the jump points, maybe they've updated it?
looks like this is the original source https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1blcfcc/updated_star_map_wallpaper/
and updated star map is there
awesome I'll grab the updated map
isnt jumptown on daymar?
yeah it is currently
could check #4-8-0-live channel might be some others doing it you can team up with
Does anyone has gate not open problem? I was doing local cargo hual mission that need me to delevier the cargo to HDPC Farnesway. But the gate just wont open after I request the landing. I can even hear the gate opeing sound but it physically just NOT open....
Wrong hangar?
Could be wrong hangar could also have one cargo bugged and try the other cargo dock
Had it too, I just avoided all planetary missions
It only has 2 dock. Both just wont open...
probable this is the right way to do..... sigh.....
Yess had barely any issues besides maybe a few boxes over all my hauling missions clipping thru the floor
but nothing as crazy as door not opening
and ive done like 60+ hauling missions
just planetary seem very unstable rn
First I thought soemthing wrong with my local fiels so delete the game and reinstall again that took me 3 hrs. After this it works. BUT ONLY works ONCE. Then it bug again, then I reinstall again for another 3 hrs. Now it seems I am the dumb one that wastes 6 hrs hahaha
Im sorry about that man 😦 sounds like a frustrating experience
hopefully the space hauling missions treat you way better!
When trading how long do the buy locations take to restock with stuff
Yeah happens occasionally, you can try QT away and back or just use the public landing pads and freight elevators
Yeah it's almost never a local issue almost certainly a bug or server issue. Only validate if you're having crashing issues, even then it can be other stuff like corrupted shaders, if you ever get stuck just ask in #helpdesk I guarantee you're probably not the first to have the issue, and of course if it's a specific issue the dedicated channels usually the best place
About 8-10 mins
thanks. But I am not abling to chat in help, any hint?
Sorry I see that was answered, just catching up..
Oh it might be a role issue there's a #new-player-help too
thanks!
is it not possible to sell 32scu of weevils?
Not currently. Store it for now.
are the cargo elevators broken at the salv places?
Yes still…
:/
That‘s the wonderful 3.24
Do we know of when there will be a patch/what priority its at
3.24.1 is in the PTU now, all waves, so hopefully soon.
Where'd ya find 32SCU of eggs?
Most I've seen was a single 4SCU crate of the stuff.
Probably Vaughn
I did some of them and it looks like they nerfed them or i just had zero luck.
max level vaughns have good loot
Max level legal bounties can have some, although they do seem to have more good legal loot now, that they added Gold to that loot table.
Boom. Second mission
What size?
Looks like 24
It says on the end, kinda blurry, but looks like 24
Hopefully they let NQA take them even if it's for less per scu
Yeah S6 is 24, 7 is 32. I think scrap yards take max 16? (Outposts take 24)
Smh beat me to it, I had a image pulled up and was comparing the amount of ridges at the top to figure it out
does the smol tractor move 24s in Live? I forget or have they nerfed it again? (currently in latest PTU)
can't buy a maxlift at Area 18 lol but I do have the power suit but it dosen't have the accuracy to stack the boxes on top of others grr, might have to take a trip to a cargo deck 😄
also top tip - you can no longer grab and drag on the FE UI, you must click the 'move' buttons:
so the smol beam still moves 16s, maybe I was just making it up in my head and it doesn't move 24s in Live :/
good news it can move the atlas though!
does anyone know how the auto loading and unloading fees are calculated for buying and selling commodities? Is it algorithmic, or is it based on several factors such as :
- SCU Quantity?
- Container size?
- Commodity type?
- Location?
- Demand?
Container size
I've gone back to the Cat in the last couple of days in PU. How does the ATLS fair in the Cat in terms of moving around?
You have to tractor it in and out, as the Cat doesn't have it's elevators, obvi, but it seems good.
It's good but lacks precision at placing the boxes but that's true for all ships at the moment.
Don't mind the tractor in/out task, just love the concept of using it in the Cat
Or, you could probably just walk it onto the elevator platform, depending on how tall the suit is vs how high the ship sits.
24s don't seem to snap on top of each other in the Cat, I thought it was supposed to take 4x 24 plus a bunch of 2s per hold?
It will snap 16s on top
so it looks like they've tuned the multi tool right down, it barely moves 16s and 8s now but 1-4 still good, the maxlift seems unchanged
Cat should hold four 24s in the side compartments, yeah
Your right they don’t snap
You can still fit 4 in per hold but the top ones don’t snap
Good to know it's not a new bug in PTU 👍
really need a filter function on cargo missions
seriously. In the ptu, once I glitched into master, I had 200+ missions at all times. It's ridiculous.
gotta complete them all
Speedrun negative rep with Covalex
what gives more rank progress, big hauling missions or small hauling missions?
also, for some reason i seem to be stuck at 0% rep with covalex but im still progressing through the ranks
As long as you are progressing through the ranks, I wouldn't worry about the rep percentage. I personally prefer doing mediums and below, just so I can use my Connie, but that's just me.
This i like running them with my FL MAX
So I hear you can supposedly auto load cargo missions on ptu? Anyone confirm. Want to try sometime with hull c
As far as I can tell small > medium > large give the same rep, all that matters is that you do missions equal to your current rank. Small missions are therefore more economical
The Hull C ones yes, I haven't heard that the other missions support it tho
How do you tell if it’s a hull c? Just cargo amount being in the thousands?
They're on live too if you get to experienced rank but currently not working, yeah anything over 600 I guess is intended for Hull C but there's nothing to identify it in the mission description
Ah
Be interesting if you could stack multiple smaller ones in the Hull C
I wish they'd give a bit more information tbh as I've searched high and low and can only find snippets of chat in spectrum threads
missing all my 8SCU boxes for the mission.... great
Isn't that the one on the bottom?
Scroll down?
one on the bottom is a 4SCU box
Sure doesn't look like the other ones I've seen.
Well my live game rep is fucked cuz o had 11 juniors and glitched through the floor and crashed and got infinite load screen so I might as well grind out ptu
I’ll find out once I get to it
Hmm it says direct so nah shouldn't be
Well that says silicon, and the cargo is stims so it's not even the right cargo, are you at Everus?
sorry posted wrong mission, but I tried abandoning it and
o7, it would be very good to have the exact thing but for cargo hauling missions to help us better pick a cargo hauling route
I'm guessing you're at the wrong location
nope
The game's missions are dynamic though, not sure how it would work without needing people to input a whole lot of data 🤔
Happy to entertain the idea though.
You're 100% at Everus Harbor?
I also took these missions and they supplied everything properly
for elite dangerous theres some trading tools that use OCR, maybe that could be used too
Well hopefully those ones are working for you, I haven't seen the missing cargo bug since they hotfix it but doesn't mean it can't occur again
like I select a ship, based on the ship I have a set SCU capacity and fit, so it only shows missions within my ship capacity and possible size that's would fits, then I select where I wanna start my route and where I wanna finish and I have a set route with all contract names and details
The SC Trade Tools companion also uses OCR to scan commodity kiosks, I could explore the idea after I work on some other priorities 😀
Right, but the website doesn't know what missions there are. They change all the time 😢
You can supplement your missions with cargo using the /en-route tool of the website, with an allowable detour of 0
They at least tell you now what the largest box is, and then it's just math to figure out how many of what box, as they tend to do the least amount of boxes for the SCU they give you
as dynamic as they can be, surely there's a limited amount of variants of a same mission ?
I don't think it will be an infinite number of variations
the task would be huge and would require a lot of data and time to gather and put together but it could be very useful since CIG doesn't have any filters for cargo hauling missions
or you put all possible missions without an amount of SCU and without sizes, we (user) put that data shown in game and the website does the capacity and fit calculations and organise the route base on départ location and arrived location or on a loop like route
maybe doing the same with money to determine the approximate money gain : put all gain for each contract selected and the website does the math in the end for you so that you know for a set amount you wanna achieve, how many loops it would take
idk if that would be possible but like this it should be easier
It could maybe be a feature of the companion app: make routes for given missions at a location.
I have some prep work for Pyro first, but it could be on the table.
okay, thanks for your help, more and more players will do cargo hauling and this could simply it a lot and save us a lot of time too
Oh I agree.
It's just that it's terribly difficult to get quality data out of the game's client in a way that compliant with the EULA. Missions in particular are ever shifting, and spending lot of time on something they might tune and rework soon is risky.
you're right, maybe wait a bit to let cargo hauling stabilize itself
payout changed recently
maybe other things will too
they are still releasing hotfixes back to back
quick money question. I've done a few hauling contracts, from extra small, small, to medium, but they're all around the 10-15k mark. When does the serious money start? Like 100k+ per run, and what amount of cargo we talking?
100k plus starts at senior rank, there's some 70-80k missions on experienced
thanks. and the cargo size imma need? 'cos at the moment I'm renting a cutlass
Cargo will be 300-600 or above at senior but member and experienced rank have small and medium hauls that pay well
For example 40-60k to deliver 3-10scu to 3 or 4 locations
I see. So keep plugging away, regardless of the size, and the rank will go up?
i assume at some point too, cargo size increases and that's not 600scu of 1scu containers!?
You can definitely do those in the Cutlass, I also used the Nomad and Hull A for some. There are other medium and large hauls but they don't always pay enough to be worth it, you'll have to decide time vs effort like if you don't mind to sit in SC
Yeah as far as I've noticed it's only the rank that counts for rep
KTahnks for the tips
anyone able to do hauling mission with hull c
I haven't tried yet in Live but the latest patch notes in PTU still state that they fail after loading the first box as a 'known issue' and that was my last experience too.
Anyone in PTU know if they fixed salvage yards freight elevators not working?
Not as far as I know
With the current bugs around trading I've steered clear of it. TDDs are unreliable, Freight elevators seem to lose some/all of your stored cargo, Cargo is there but not recognized, outposts just don't seem to work and the list goes on.
I'm sure someone else on here will have a route that works. Maybe if you can find something between two space stations?
is it worth owning a hull c atm?
In my opinion it’s sadly a no. I tried to use it, but my commodity cargo wouldn’t load no matter what I did and I ended up just losing the auec. To make matters worse it bugged out my HUD with a warning about unclaimed cargo on any ship I use now…
Were can I sell 32scu boxes of weevl eggs? And if it is not possible yet, do you know if cig is working on a solution?
You can't sell them
gh doesnt accept them?
They don't
I saw a post on a FB group suggesting the ATLS should be a reward for reaching a certain haulage rank, I actually think that's s really good idea!
But I think we all know it's gonna be on the pledge store!
Id love for actual rep rwards and in game progression. Imagine you can choose how to fill up your hangar with maybe an atls and mpuv bay, maybe some kind of generator that can boost your maxlift for like 5 min. Or for mining a secondary refininery that can do small jobs and larger depending on your rank
i dont know im just thinking out loud
like what rank?
i dont think senior cuz its highest tbh
Experienced I guess once you unlock large loads
Yeah but they're medium missions max box size 8. Experienced rank gives large missions max box size 32 arguably when you need more moving power
Yeah that starts at Experienced
Where can I sell beryl rn?
Have you tried other TDDs other than at Orison?
I'll try
anyone tried putting a full hull c into an XL hanger?
No but I want to now
Has anyone tried hauling missiosn withe Hull C? Im at experienced level but havent tried those high SCU missions yet
The only issue I see with making the ATLS a hauling mission reward is that locks out people who don't want to/like hauling missions. I don't see them making it anything other than a pledge and eventually available in game.
You could sell it for a crap load of monizz
Hull c is still scuffed and this patch if cargo bugs on hull c it'll put some text on your hud that sticks across ships
Iirc it's something like unclaimed cargo awaiting transfer that gets slapped in the middle of your screen
Across ships, across different logins, week to week. I've been told it'll stay there until the next patch for me
You do learn to ignore it, so there's that
Would've been nicer if it wasn't as intrusive kinda like small refueling/repair text but do get that it's meant to grab your attention
Yea it's 'Spongebob yelling' meme loud on the screen
Soo are the freight elevators at shubin mining 18 bugged out on every server?
So I guess in other words, we are facing a bottleneck for experienced hualing missions and above then
I think you'll find most FE's at outposts are bugged. Just another feature of 3.24
I love how the cargo patch has broken cargo game loop aspects
Oh nice well isn't that just perfect 🙃
Good thing I didn't drop 5 million on cargo at an outpost that I'll never be able to deliver lol
For now if you want to do cargo and don't mind the massive dip in profit I'd say stick to hauling missions and the solar contracts, planetary last I tried was a bit scuffed with cargo clipping under the hangar pad or disappearing while I tractor it
Not necessarily, you have 5 hours to complete a contract. You can do it in multiple legs or pair up with someone to share the load.
Aren't they coming out with 3.24.1 next week or something like that?
Not confirmed when 3.24.1 will come out, although current speculation leads to tomorrow, seeing as that is when Jumptown will be taken back offline.
That would be nice are they gonna include that new mech suit with it?
last ptu patch notes said they were polishing the mech up so perhaps they will include it in the patch
That seems to be the case, although not 100% confirmed. I imagine they are going to do this as a pre-sale LTI token pre-CitCon and IAE sales
I kind of wonder if ATLS is being put out to take the place of the trollies that they pulled from 3.24.1.
I have a feeling you could be right @near swallow perhaps it was something they'd made for squadron and are putting it into the PU to replace the trolley.
What happened to the trolley's?
Hovering about somewhere
Not really sure, they held them back due to issues, we might find out more in Friday's Cargo Q&A
Has anybody tried selling 'stolen' or 'found' cargo from the hauling contracts? If so, where can you sell? There's so much junk laying around it would be great if we could grab at least some of it and sell to help clean up a variety of locations. If I remember correctly from the SC videos introducing the cargo re-work, this was supposed to be possbile.
anyone test hull c on the ptu that just came out
Anybody know if junkyard freight elevator are working?
I did. picks up and delivers haul mission cargo, but still fails the mission.
showed -14 delivered, so since it didn't finish, i clicked submit and failed.
thank you for testing
cant believe they still havent fixed this yet https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-127268?_gl=1*rxbvqr*_gcl_au*MTAyNjAyOTg2Mi4xNzI1MTA1Mzg0*_ga*MTExODkzNDE0MS4xNzI1MTA1Mzg0*_ga_V6MWYXRQNP*MTcyNjExNTA0Mi43Ni4xLjE3MjYxMTUwNzAuMzIuMC4w

one day
at least calling cargo for pickup/delivery works. wish lagrange points had cargo comms, but i wish for a lot of things.
one step at a time i supposed
Just ran about a dozen missions with my Caterpillar and having a second body on board makes things go a ton faster. One in the cargo bays sending or receiving boxes, the other on the tractor beam picking up.or placing em in the elevator. I didn't realize til too late that these missions are timed, ended up failing about 3 of em but now I know not to try to hoard a ton of missions at once. Despite a couple mission killing bugs the new cargo loop is pretty fun. Keeps me busy amd I have a reason for traveling Stanton. Glad to see the Caterpillar used to its fullest potential too
i've been thing of getting gold from either HMDS-anderson/HDMS-Norgaard and selling to Area18
are these good trades?
nice
thx
what would be the best ship to rent for trading?
on the cheaper/starter side
the raft?
Hull A
If you have more money to throw around you could go for a taurus
125k I think to rent taurus
Yeah a18 is like 128k
oh nice
Step 1: picking up a taurus
Step 2: fly to shuberdin lcd-1
Step 3: get gold back to a18
Step 4: Profit
if you're going to SCD-1 on Daymar, be mindful that there is often a Cutlass Black that spawns in the area, that will shoot you in armistice and is sometimes indestructable
Fingers crossed you dodge that bullet when you go!
Another tip for trading send the freight elevator down when you arrive just to make sure it's working before you buy anything, it's annoying AF to find out after
MSR getting a huge shield buff, YES PLEASE
Still doesn't make it usefu for cargo for anything other than memes but it is a step in the right direction 😄
how does the Hull C fare these days? still as problematic as ever?
Yessir!
Bug still active in PTU: https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-127268

keeping my Caterpillar busy...
this is gonna take a while, did anyone make Master yet? These missions take at least an hour and with no stacking options it's gonna be a grind
I think that little bit of rep is 5 missions
so about 60 maybe
Anyone knows around how many medium load missions to unlock bigger load? Moving 8 SCU boxes in the C2 feels a bit tedious
medium (member rank) was about 30 missions I think
I did those in a Corsair, it can take the 100+scu missions too if you stack off grid. The best way is get the rep is to do the small local drops, there's a nice 6 stack at Microtech you can combine as they're different commodities so easy to split up.
Large loads 16+ is unlocked at experienced rank
really? small local drops?
just because of quantity or because each actually give the most rep?
Because they give the same rep but take less time, plus stacking them is just free rep/credits for a bit of sorting out
You can make them into 3 piles before you load so you have your 3 drops and off you go!
The only negative is it's high risk to carry multiple missions in case you fail
Wow, ISC with the Zeus and the new MFDs was a great show today. Excited about the Clipper coming soon
With that tractor beam arm, I might consider throwing boxes now
Does anyone know if the new missions work well with the raft, ive been thinking about picking one up for awhile now
The Raft performs very well, with the cargo snapping to the stanchions with no issues
Besides the Hull A, the Raft is maybe one of the easier ships to load
I would recommend having a MaxLift over just a multitool for range, speed and power
The only issue I have is nudging the 8SCU boxes into the grabber sections horizontally, which is pretty minor. Raft is great @gleaming minnow, also recommend trying a ship with a working tractor beam since I've done missions with a Raft and a Taurus. Ship tractor beams are fire
And, once ATLS becomes a thing, and it does not fit into RAFT, I’ll probs be going back to my Connie
ATLS is gonna equalize for ships w/no tractor beam like the C2
That will make C2 loading a BREEZE
yeah ive been using my c1 but the cargo space is starting to feel really limited
the tractor beams working is awesome though
I'm absolutely loving my decision to get the Caterpillar it's so damn perfect for the high level medium runs
400scu in 16s it's like the mission was made for it!
Did you guys see that tractor beam that comes with the Zeus!!
That was crazy
Yeah looks cool but I'm still probably going ES
I may pick up the ES later but the Clipper is my baby
It looks a bit tight to realistically fill the hold but maybes you could slide 3x 32 off grid
I can't be doing with pissing around with a bunch of 2scu boxes
That's why I still love the Corsair, you can put 3x 32 and a 24 then another 8x 4 if you really want! Having the additional side entry is really handy
I've run 5x 24 a few times now, it's superb
I enjoy having the Corsair but I generally just run the C2 because I didn't have to do math
I should do more of the large C2 runs, I think I will once I get a mech suit
I’ve gotten 6 x 24 to fit in the corsair easily
3.24 cargo was a buff to Corsair imo
should i bother stealing size 10 bombs
No
Mfw you load all the cargo onto the elevator walk all the way to the TDD on orison and realise you forgot to lower the elevator
how can i fix freight elevators?
not sure
can i land in lorville with altrutroxin on board
you can land anywhere, its only an issue if security scans your ship while trying to get to where your going
Does transferring to warehouse infinite load affect all the smaller trading posts?
It can affect any freight elevator if it gets bugged out
Most likely occurs at the busy areas, ones that sell the high value ores, presumably due to the increased player traffic
I can't even click the tablet on the server I swapped to, I'll just take the loss of 90% money and go back to mission hauling then
Dumping a lot of money into trade this patch is as risky as taking a piss in crocodile infested rivers
I remember 3.18 transactions would fail occasionally, it would take your money and you'd get nothing, I lost like 8 million in one click lol
Honestly it was just a 100k so it's not that long to farm again
It's just a bummer cause I was in a good mood to try doing small runs to chill
Hey, party people! Are there any unverified/illegal cargo hauling missions? Can I be a smuggler finally?!
@coarse stag not that I know of no
I have hope. Soon tm
I see on UEX it has RMC as being sold at Pyro? Is that a bug? Because when I go to look, it doesn't actually let me purchase.
Is RMC still the most profitable trading commodity?
It depends. It’s not nearly as profitable, and a lot less safe, so less reason to risk it. Hepheaestanite is good, Beryl is good, gold is good (if you can get enough to fill a ship, it’s sold in very limited quantities.
Not as safe because shitty terminals? Or because of piracy
Piracy. It is one of, if not the only commodities that has to be purchased outside of armistice.
Heffastanite is from the Jump Points isn't it? I might do a C2 run at some point
But it gives you a consistent supply, unlike gold where you sit there waiting for it to refresh while still selling good. In other words, it’s the most lucrative?
I don’t mind the risk of pvp
RMC is also sold in very limited quantities. The only way I have been able to fill a C2 is a mix of luck (not getting pirated) and server hopping across multiple instances of Rappel/Picker's Field.
