Has anyone ever done the science to stuffing a 600i full of loose cargo?
Thats literally what you get for trading beryl/diamonds. Its only rmc thats a giant outlier at 1800k
What about gold? In 3.24 mining outpost.has 900 scu
In 23 you cant buy enough to fill a c2 even remotely
I the current patch gold has a higher roi than rmc, its just balanced to have limited supply so cutty blacks to freelancer max size cargo carriers can make good profits
has anyone seen what the end level missions are for cargo hauling?
no reached a middle level but current bugs most of time prevent me to finish missions
Just one more mission for the next rank - ngl this has been a slog!
Given that most of the Member missions take 30-40 mins and I failed a good few for server issues that's a lot of hours I don't care to count ๐
And I have the pneasure iof doing it again on Live
How many missions do you think you did?
I think it's gotta be about 20-25 to get through the member rank, what I can't tell is if there's a difference in rep amount between the small and medium. The lower rank missions obviously give less
Ok, so doable but with effort
Yeah it will be fine in live you'll get through them without noticing I think, it was harder earlier in PTU when failure rates were like 8/10 lol
What was causing the failures?
30ks were the main issue and bugs with freight elevators which are a lot better now and I think the bug with scrap yards not snapping is fixed along with 32scu that were being allocated that you couldn't deliver. Servers are getting more stable too.
How you get 13x 8scu boxes in an MSR
could load more
I did try and double stack but they don't fit
getting back to the deck is fun
it's like one of those picture puzzles lol
looks like you start it wrongly you should double stack at start
They don't fit
I'll try again another time but I could not fit them 2 high even in the middle where it looks higher
I know it's not RMC but the Gold is in limited quantities and Beryl can easily fill a C2. In the trading days BEFORE RMC this was a top grade profit. Also it's much safer to run and the investment is lower.
ffs it gonna make me do one more mission ๐ฆ
hopefully a starter mission is enough these member ones just take forever especially when you're dealing with ATC bugs etc ๐
yeah so that totally wasn't worth the effort ๐
I don't get it, it's 30k to haul 110scu or 63k for 2000scu
usualy isnt since hauling mission rank up most of the time just means bigger missions
If you could do that in the Hull C with autoloading it would be good though
so this will take 6 runs in a C2, that's gonna take a couple of hours, a lot of fuel and you will want a couple of crew members to load, that's a bad deal.
its designed for Hull C that does not work
It would be worth it with the Hull C but why bother putting it in until the functionality is there tbh
Wtf that payout is pitiful I can get 34k for 7scu of waste
What the fuck is CIG smoking

yeah I just put that feedback in spectrum, there are some reasonable missions - here:
22scu paying almost as much as 2200
Wtf?????

Cig really has no fucking idea how to balance anything
Wait the 22 was almost as much as the FOUR THOUSAND I misread
Wow.
here's an Experience medium size Interstellar haul
I'd assume before it even hits release candidate builds they'll change payout
its either Hauling missions pay to little or profits we get from other stuff are to high
suspect profits from other stuff is too high, general trend seems to be lowering profits as of late
Yeah I think they tell moving towards the kind of economy they want for 1.0 which by the looks of it might end up a mega grind, let's see...
SC is supposed to be an MMO, and grind is what they're usually all about.
understandable but CIG should just change all rewards at once so backers can easily adapt instead of giving us just one mission line updated since will lead to many backers ignore it or complain about it
I suspect that's not as easy to do as it might sound, and they may not have the manpower to try and rebalance the entire economy at one time, especially since much of it's supposed to be replaced by a dynamic economy in the future. The aUEC rewards for missions right now don't mean anything in the long run as I do not doubt that there will be full wipes before release.
i mean, they definitely will because we'd switch from aUEC to UEC
Atp just run cargo in a hull c and get that much or more in profit
Yeah I did a run in my C2, 640scu between jump points and made 400k even after auto loading
That's the max 32s it holds IIRC
Lol. I had a 105SCU Cargo Haul mission with 12x8SCU boxes I had to load, plus 2x4SCU and 1x1SCU, man that was a chore to get in there as well. lol
MSR is fast though, especially once you replace the Industrial QT drive it has. xD
I thought I might not be able to get the last one but I managed it lol. The Taurus as well is max 12x so you could get caught out too
Yeah I'm running an XL-1
It's a step in the right direction
Ran through the Seraphim Blockade earlier.. Shields actually held pretty well
Same.
Almost 2x the shield strength when you divert everything to shields.
I've done a few in the Corsair as well even though it's 72 it'll do 100+
I have a softspot for the Corsair, but it just doesn't sit right for it to be a cargo runner when its an exploration ship lol
It's definitely good at exploring C2s outta Pickers
how do i load the hull c with cargo?
I've made a point of not using the Corsair to fly any kind of cargo, only thing I'll use the cargo bay for is bounty loot.
I find the game so much more enjoyable when you stick to specific ships for specific purposes.
Yeah, I get that ships like the Corsair are phenomenal generalists, I love it to death, but if you've got a fleet, use it, right?
Only at the 4 LEOs and 3 Jump point stations you can buy from the Admin terminal then you must call the ship, undock and request cargo ATC. You then extend the spindles fly into the loading area, big box and wait for it to fill up. Unloading is a reverse of the above
I needa try hull c in 3.24
There's apparently some docking fixes in the latest builds but I haven't tried it as I've been focusing on the haulage missions
when i played last night someone had docking work fine short of refuelling not working
I hope they add Hull C specific missions it would make sence for those larger hauls
I think thatโs the plan with the hauling missions I just think they havenโt finished the loading part for it
Any1 got a safe but profitable trade route? Not looking to be on edge every time I go to rappel to buy and trade RMC.
Beryl from ArcCorp 141 to Orison has been good to me, not been hit yet
C2 salvage missions no longer exist afaik.
And scu loot on salvage missions was slashed
You want free drugs you gotta pirate or kill pirate
Nope go make your scams somewhere else and read #rules_and_information
That counts into begging, so I guess you can still read the rules
All good
Thought I'd share some tips for loading the C2 efficiently with 32scu containers for Large Hauling missions or A-B trading.
Firstly on the Grid the C2 can hold 20x 32scu containers plus some smaller boxes besides to make up the extra. The front section can only snap them length ways, 6 off; the rear and middle sections are not long enough the fit two rows in 'length ways' therefore 6 of the containers must be rotated sideways to optimise the space available.
Here's some screenshots of my C2 loaded up for a Large haul.. Hope this helps! Stay safe out there fellow traders.
I load/unload C2 only from rear no need to open front
I sent the 6 boxes up the freight elevator that was at the front of the hangar to save time.
i find it faster if i position C2 at angle so i dont need to move alot and just fully load/unload it from rear
Whatever easier for you if you keep the C2 at 90 you don't have to rotate the boxes
My fine motor skills must be off. I have a really hard time fitting the 4th box lengthways. Often I just can't get it to fit.
I should clarify the 4th box on the second row
You're not alone it did take some jiggling around
I resorted to 26x24scu, 2x8 and 28x2 All 24s go sideways except 4 in the back along one side. Sideways seems easier to cram 2 high
Mine was a mission so no choice on the sizes but yeah 24s definitely easy to load. I did a mission that was all 16s, that was a bit of a chore due to the amount of boxes but at least it's suitable for other ships like the Caterpillar
I don't even want to think of trying to fully load a Cat manually. Now if auto-load worked as it does now, as in filling the ship to capacity, but with the time delay then that would be fine. My trials with auto-load have left a lot to be desired.
Cat shouldn't be that bad. Open all doors and use the ship tractor beam turret.
Hi - If I'm just starting off with a Freelancer MAX and have the 15k credits, how do I start with cargo/trading runs?
You need investment to trade, and it's also best not to use more than 50% of your money.
might be worth getting your capital up first.
You'd be better doing mercenary or bounties until you got a couple hundred thousands
Ah ok
if you did want to start with just 15k. this is the route i would take, and what and how much ill buy from each stop
you can also ask in #looking-for-session , maybe someone is hauling cargo and willing to pay you to help out. or doing another activity
Ah ok, thank you
I saw in the patch notes there's supposed to be a Hull-C cargo mission (from one of the known issues) but can't find any documentation on it on spectrum other than one post saying you should be able to load up as usual, well I've taken a 2k scu cargo mission and it's given me cargo docking but no area to fly into for loading, I almost thought it was going to work!
well fk me it did actually work this time (well almost it got stuck like the issue suggest)
I have 140k now, is that better to start?
yeah thats better. obviously the more you have the more profit you'll have until a certain point
to plan your own
looking at your budget, doing drug running will be your best bet
sounds... illegal lol
it is, however you can't get crimestat from it unless you happen to take your cargo near a space station or city and a police ai scans your ship
very low risk of that happening if you're just going from a to b
So this one?
yes, jumptown you can't directly warp to, so for your first run i'd suggest a different one
try this
ooh ok thank you
unless you're bad at flying/landing your ship, you will have 0 chance of losing your cargo if you wanted to invest all of it.
those destiniations never really have players
Do I need a tractor beam or does it just go straight into and off of my ship
this patch it'll spawn in your ship
so you'll land; go inside, buy from the terminal and then repeat the same thing once you land at the sell destination
I see, thank you
good luck space trucker!
It won't let me jump to Paradise Cove
I'll give that a go, ta
For those Jumptown sites there is an internet site called Verse Guide that has methods to triangulate to all sites on the moons, planets, etc. However I have found one that gets you to Ravens Roost on MT. It starts with a mission called "Supply Re Up" under the Mercenary tab. It is a box mission. It should describe going to Buds Growery for the first box then to Raven's Roost for the second. So, you get a marker for it but have to free fly some 200KM not to bad. Once there you can buy the vices and just take them to Devlins Scrap yard on Eutrepe for sale. Then I just abandon the mission. Buds also can have guns to pick up in the loot crates. This may all change in 3.24 I heard all vices are going to Pyro. Note NPC ships can spawn nearby so be ready to run.
hi, see my thoughts on Ravens Roost..Thx
Raven's root, Jump town, Paradise Cove... They're drug labs, all illegal places, all no QT marker. Fly there
If you unlock the risky delivery missions you can get markers that way too, you need to be rank 2 with Covalex then take the mission near Hurston to get access to them
It'll be in the personal tab once you've ranked up enough
I'd like to try and reproduce! Were you already flying a Hull C when you grabbed the Haul mission? Then flew to pickup station? Order of things seem to matter for some reason, so I'd love to know your steps!
I grabbed the mission then retrieved the Hull C and flew to the mission location. Make sure you get a TS-2 those trips are long
Also the cargo ATC only worked after I had docked at the station
PTU is a bit crashy atm, but I'll give it a shot tonight. hopefully on a new patch.
However the whole server was experiencing ATC issues due to BR
I've also had issues with cargo spindles extending/retracting
I seem to only be able to do it once, either extend or retract, before having to store my ship and pull it back out
so i might spawn it, keep retracted, get mission, go dock at retrieval station, undock, extend, call cargo ATC, and pray to Zod.
Hi, is this a known bug or i'm doing something wrong ? i can't sell certain minerals more than 3 at a time
Known bug
I believe it's just aphorite as I recall
And now i can't sell anymore because it gave me my minerals back
Aphorite you can't sell in big bulks, gotta sell three by three
But your gems being given back that is weird
they were only ghosts, couldn't ressel them and they weren't in my ship anymore, had to take the last gems on me to sell them
hey so got a drake catepillar to do cargo runs looking for decent trade route beside beryl anyone got any suggestions
For a Cat, either Beryl or I think it's Hephestanite from either the Pyro or Magnus Gateway to one of the major cities?
ok cool yea hephestanite is one i nvr done before so ill do that
If you want to change things up, I use uexcorp.space to look. Of course, most of the first page of routes is all RMC, but look past that and it gives some fun recommendations.
You can also have it generate loops for you
So itโs not just one way trade trips and a trek back
Those can be cool
Yeah, although the trip back is usually something stupid like Waste
ok ima use that and see what i can do
how do i get it to generate a loop for me using that website
๐ button on the right
yea it aint working so i think ill stick to taking scrap back on the return trip terra gateway should buy scrap right?
Yeah, UEX doesn't give a return trip for that. IDK about Scrap, but it will even tell you how much you'll be investing and your take away profit, such as this example with the Cat:
If the route has a possible good return trip, you'll see that symbol on the end there:
yea good thing i got the capital for it lol
You can always get Gold and Beryl on Microtech and sell it at Nbis... Then just fly back up and hit both again after a relog. 5 trips should be a million profit.
i saw this in the bug fixes for 3.24: "Fixed Kopion Horn sell prices being lower than intended" does anyone kow what they are NOW in 3.24?
Hopefully enough worth doing
Why would you need to relog? Demand is region bound and beryl demand is never out st nb in my experience? Also beryl at best sells for 400k profit when buying mt and selling orison.
Diamond can make similar profit to beryl, only has 1000 supply so you pretty much can only buy once per place. There are 4~ locations that sell and all major cities sell, 2 for an a18 moon and 2 for lorville moon. I like it because half of each route is in space where cat isnt as slow.
I was thinking for the Gold aspect it might help or just hang out in space for 10 minutes.
How are people feeling about the Zeus CL vs the Spirit C1?
Is there anything about the C1 that makes it better than the Zeus despite the smaller cargo hold (aside from aesthetics and personal taste)
Zeus cl is directly comparable to the freelancer max
Zeus has less firepower than all other small multirole ships
Is it faster to compensate or do we even know?
I think cargo wise c1 carries as much as cl given you can fit around 100-120 in the cargo bay physically
We dont know afaik but rule of thumb is crusader ships in general have more thrust than counterparts
Yeah I don't think the CL will have a lot of extra space off grid. There is bound to be some though
Maybe down that main hallway
Ngl doubt
Maybe an 10 scu more at best if you fill up the ramp somehow while still closing it and a 2scu box or two in that hallway
From that angle the hallway seems very unfriendly to boxes lol
Maybe if you stack all the boxes without the grid you can make it one box wider but yeah
I'm not sure what that bottom right picture is
It looks like the living quarters are going to be super cramped
Gotta get that cargo!
Yeah the door to that room goes directly to cargo floor
The rearranging of habs and other rooms getting smaller was honestly why i pledged es instead
I had the MR for a while because of the armory
Seems like it really pushes cargo above all else; which fair enough thats its job, just not for me
I'm thinking of just dropping the whole pledge
Fair tbh
I suppose I'll hold onto it until it releases for the extra value but the one I've got is only 120 months
It may wow us yet ๐ if it flies super well
You say that like 10 years of insurance isnt basically lti
The ES does seem like the better choice though
how tall is the zeus CL grid, 3?
Based on that picture I'd say two
Yeah since the amount of cubes shown is 40 on that pic
terrible
Its not exactly a big ship
Im curious to see how many boxes you can comfortably fit in the es, 32 scu (and 16 on mr) is insanely less
you lose so much when manually loading
Then consider it a 80scu ship then
We're the SCU limit supposed to be for it?
128
For the cl
MR and ES are gonna have a lot more off grid space
their cargo hold isnt much smaller but is dedicated to other storage as well
rover in the ES and bounty pods in the MR
Hrm that photo only shows room for 96
I mean the cl has a widened back like the freelancer max no?
So maybe it is 3 tall
no
its got an elongated cargo hold
If that photo is accurate (and maybe it isn't) the only way you'd get 128 is if the middle is tall enough for 3scu
You get 32 SCU in the sides, 64 in the center, and the last 32 as a thin layer above the 2 32s in the middle as I guess those flat 4 SCU boxes
Which would be super annoying to load by hand if the ceiling is tight
If the mr is 16 you can see where the 16 scu box will go lmfao
Yeah the es looks like it will hold 64 easily without any funny business
yes but not magnetized
which will probably become a bigger deal when we get gravity controls
I mean that means nothing next patch with how cargo is changing
Yeah until something changes
If the ceiling is 3 scu high that means we may be able to fit an Ursa if it can fit through that narrow ass ramp
dont think it will
I'm very doubtful
Im 80% sure they said ursa wont fit
I'm slipping. What are the dimensions of an 8, SCU box?
No other small multirole does
Never mind
2x2x2
I need more coffee lmao
Cube
The MSR ceiling is just over 3Scu
You can throw in an 8 with a flat 2x2 on top and is scraping at that point
Are you sure a Cutty has a ceiling that high?
yeah pretty sure
I've never used one for cargo lol
oh nvm it doesnt
I think msr is just really deceptionally sized
I always feel like the cargo bay should hold more when empty
corsair and connies are 3 tall too
Those all 3 fit Ursas
I feel like the opening dimensions will keep you from getting one in it nothing else
At least with wheels on it lol
C1 would fit an ursa if ramp and door wasnt so small
the ursa is pretty useless as a vehicle, Nursa will be too eventually
I mean healing injuries is pretty useful after they finish the SQ42 combat updates to AI and TTK. Well be more likely to walk away with scrapes and cuts from encounters making T3 beds useful even if they lose their regeneration
that is not what they said
but they likely will not lose regen
instead they'll get a shrinking respawn radius and use some sort of medical juice that things like the nursa and c8r wont be able to carry in any realistic quantity
That is exactly what Jared said
On the Friday live stream directly after releasing the Nursa Jared defended saying they always planned on making all beds regen and that this was just the right time to make that change as everyone was suspicious it was for marketing reasons
As long as you can respawn from the area you parked next to I'll be okay with it lol
If the official word is that all medbeds can regen I might actually pledge a nursa or C8R
Jared's voice is less official than it should be lol
But he quoted someone else saying that is always the way they wanted it to be. I'll try and find it later
What is Nursa?
medical ursa
Love that, should of been called a Nursa
Why its called like that?
Nurse+Ursa
Because Nurse Ursa
Nursa
Got it
3.24 Going Live!!
so no more drugs?
Hey I am attempting a freight mission, I'm guessing I'm meant to contact the Cargo ATC instead of landing one? But nothing I'd happening, server issue?
The normal one works fine but there is nothing there for me to load into the ship I looked in the freight management computer and the warehouse is empty
Nope. Cant get em at all at outposts with terminal like 3.23. Looks like they completely nuked that part of the game

awesome
Gotta find them as contraband in bunkers or bounties
yeah but thats micro scu
also how does one pay for the automatic cargo loading?
How're you cargo nerds liking the new update?
it's worth noting last i saw you can only do this with BOUGHT cargo. Not mission cargo.
it's pretty alright, cargo grid on my connie pheonix wasnt working but regardless they stayed in place and made the trip to a18 from jaijini
Once the 600i gets the rework I might actually cave and start using one. I hate the exterior look. But a "luxury cargo ship" sounds right up my alley
I would use the Pheonix but issa little too smol
You can find hundreds of SCU of drugs on bounty ships
On the issue of when you are going to sell drugs for example in Samson if you have a container of 32 scu you can not keep it in the cargo because of the size, how do you do now to be able to sell 32 scu of example Altruciatoxin?
grr who thought it was a good idea to unload and load yourself and make autoload not instant
going well so far!
I haven't caught up with the update yet, what's new?
TOO MUCH TO LIST
Roberts Space Industries is the official go-to website for all news about Star Citizen and Squadron 42. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch, as well as all the community tools used by our fans.
has anyone tried to use the jettison cargo feature with the RAFT? I was going to give it a try with mine after work, curious!
is cargo hauling dead?
Cargo ATC is purely for the Hull C atm. For contract cargo you land in your typical hanger and pull your mission boxes up with the cargo elevator. Reverse to sell. If you get to the correct location and are given a hanger and no cargo is in the elevator kiosk, report it as a bug to the issue council. Been playing it since wave one and I havenโt had that problem yet. Most all the bugs Iโve noticed are on the back end or drop off phase off the contracts.
Itโs alive and better than ever
I just wasted 400k because the game decided that my 32 scu box cannot fit
rmc is like 96 on pickers field
sure you got hauling missions but 96 scu for 16k is crazy
Growing pains. Youโre not dead yet if youโre feeling the pain!
whats the max pay for hauling misiions?
Most I saw on the PTU was 180k. Not sure itโs been achieved in PTU yet. Highest I got was halfway before a PTU reset
how many scu?
Wanna say it was near a 1000 scu give or take because every contract is a little different. And Iโm not sure what values they changed when they went live with it all.
doubt it can fit inside my tauris
I mostly stuck with the port to port mission. Planetary was too buggy.
Highest was 180k halfway through the levels?
Make multi trips on a good QT drive. Thatโs what I did with my Taurus. Was my favorite cargo ship in the PTU and I flew everything I could get my hands on. Like the nomad for the small runs and love the Connie Taurus for the mid runs and even tested caterpillar with good results. Cat trac beams good enough for loading 8โs and 16โs on the bigger missions.
180 is what global said. We asked that question everyday.
Ah ok
how much am i expectig for those cargo missions?
If thatโs real and only halfwayโฆholy crap.
We could have a MISSION paying more than 300k with that logic
Cargo payouts arenโt great. Definitely not a get rich fast thing. You donโt sell the cargo you just drop it off. Not a lot of creds
But a rep grind is nice to have for the loop
Ik quanta and mission generation based on location needs wasnโt in this patch.
Howโs normal trading?
Yup. And the fact you donโt need to buy in for it either is extremely nice
True! Very beginner friendly with little to no starting capital
Thatโs why I like it. Bout as relaxing a salvage/mining. Throw some tunes on so you donโt have to hear the hanger noise and have fun
The end goal is less of the normal trading we had in the past, and it more be missions generated based on what different locations need right?
Definitely. I got a few friends who will love that
Even for experienced playersโฆnot risking 90 percent of your money is nice. A possible 300k - 180k payout in a half hour to 45min period isnโt bad
Anyone know if we can do the hauling missions with the Hull C?
Not sure how the auto loading will work with it.
Rumor of a terminal in the ship????
No hull c for missions as you canโt land and load
I am doing a lot of station to station hauling jobs atm
Park it out side and do a mothership if you want with the org, Iโm going to try this. But canโt land and load a hull c
Unless going from Port to Port? Are there missions for that? I didn't play any of the PTU
Wait till you fly one fully loaded now. Flight is a LITTLE different
Yeah I did a hull c load of hydro last night after it all went live successfully. But that was just a normal run. Not a mission.
Docking collars work great at Oreo
Prison
Orison
Stupid prediction
Loved seeing the autopredict do its work
Never saw the similarity between Orison and Prison until now...isn't Orison near Grimhex?
anyone know what the best commodity to buy and sell is now that rmc is no longer a thing? anything new added to the mix?
grrr bit pissy that .24 came this early
was gonna nolife the weekend to grinding out rmc in a cat
I haven't checked the prices since the patch dropped but beryl was pretty good for high volume and smaller volume gold/ diamond was good
is sc tradetool upto date yetr
on prices i believe, but idk if supply/demand has been updated
wow my route profits just havles
rmc isn't plausable anymore anyways
an idk about calling the route everyone takes 'your route' but yeah
unless pickers can cough up 32 scu boxes its all over
the elevator does like less than that each time its called up
the route that i take
dont nitpick me grr
hey folks wheres best place to start cargo missions... entry level
i don't think it matters too much if doing the entry level
Which means, at the end of the day, little to no risk. They're essentially just more complex delivery missions lol. The real money will remain in independant cargo trading.
for a bit more variety go near Hurston or MT then you get DC locations too
so sad rmc got thrown in the bin
thnx... DC?
I've been doing a mix of interstaller and surface ones
distribution center
12 down do far ha ha
12/12 so I'm happy no fails
just a heads up anyone commodity trading, outposts with the 120scu lifts cannot bring up 32 scu boxes. so auto load them or buy 16scu
RMC is still a thing it's just more expensive to buy and only sells for 12k per scu now so they just made it less profitable to trade RMC rather than scrape it
hey wats a good trade route for hull c?
How can I auto load all the items in my local (Orison) inventory onto my ship? CBA manually loading all these items through the cargo elevator
Can you drag items into 8 SCU crates while it's in local inventory? They probably can't be autoloaded but you can least group things
Ill give it a try
having trouble selling at the tdd....i bought laranite, hauled it to area 18 and unloaded it in to the freight elevator. on the tdd console i go to sell and it says Failed Waiting For Pending Result
Also, the multitool has been slightly nerfed and will not lift 32 SCU in addition to it's range being shortened. MaxLift is your friend, always keep your friends near by
I would recommend if trying to do the "traditional" trade to go ahead and experiment with the autoloading. Start with the largest creates frist. ALSO you must wait for each timer to complete before buying the next size
... which makes it no longer the thing to trade with big ships.
I still lack confidence in the Hull C process being fully functional. But that's just me
so if do this should i call my hull c at bajini point or does it matter
question about the hull c are u able to load cargo on it on the ground or in a hanger?
no
you can start anywhere, you buy and sell something at each station so you can stop or start anywhere in the loop
ok thanks
so when i go to the back of my hull c it tells me im trespassing on private property can anyone explain why its telling me this on my own ship?
Where can you buy the 16 or 32 scu containers?
if you mean empty storeall you can't
Seems to be a bug with alot of ships atm
Is it possible to load an empty SCU with some stuff inside the hangar ? ๐ค
Didn't the max also get a nerf?
Not that I'm aware of, she's a tough as ever
you can still lift most anything with it including the 32 SCU crates
Ah, still same range then? I think movement speed was still reduced though
On the issue of when you are going to sell drugs for example in Samson if you have a container of 32 scu you can not keep it in the cargo because of the size, how do you do now to be able to sell 32 scu of example Altruciatoxin?
the Avenger donยดt have any internal storage now ๐ฆ
Along with many other ships
probably they will rework all the old ships for the engineer gameplay
Yeah, more things on the "to fix" list
Put a box in it and store miscellaneous stuff there
1 scu boxes and 1/8th scu boxes available
Thanks for the clarification
But will you be able to sell it? Read there's size restriction on the scrapyards
anyone having issues not seeing mission cargo in warehouse after accepting it? Specifically Seraphim Station in a large hangar (c2)
Sell W eggs at scrap yards. Sell everything else at grim hex
Also the NQA site is available. Cru l5?? It's safer than Grim Hex.
GH, CRU-L4/5 all but the eggs.
Yes, I believe seraphim station warehouse is broken
At least for contract retrieval
I was moving contract cargo from my Taurus via turret tractor beam in Port Tressler hangar, one of the containers glitched into the floor and the ship exploded. I respawned at NB, mission is still active, I flew back to Tressler. Is there any way to get to the hangar with exploded ship or at least the cargo? Or do I have to abandon?
Had more issues after this, and now my rep is broken. I'm probably going to let this patch cook for some days before giving cargo another shot โค๏ธ
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/4/thread/broken-cargo-rep
Been doing some for a while now and seraphim is the only one, you can do it but just don't get anything that requires retrieval from seraphim
CRU-L4 has a NQA terminal
HI does anyone know how to activate the tractor beam on the 315p?
I think you switch to salvage mode in scm
Middle mouse button or m
Made it to Member rank that'll do lol (was around 20 missions to get here) from PTU IIRC it was about another 20 to clear member rank - guess that's for tomorrow ๐
why is it so glitchy to buy cargo?
Anyone else having the issue with the cargo not spawning in storage at seraphim station for the fist cargo hauler mission?
In the live version.
Yes, can't do any cargo missions due to that
Is there a RSI issue Council ticket I can Contribute to?
I am doing all of mine out of Microtech and not having any issues
Question that keeps coming up...
Can you autoload Hauling missions... and if so... How?
From what I've heard: no
Normal commodities: yes
Is there an IC for it?
IC?
Issue council report
No clue
How to put stuff in the crates in the freight manager
Is the cargo for hauling missions supposed to automatically show up in the warehouse or do I need to buy it?
its supposed to automatically show up where it's tlling you to pick up from, if you dont see it try click the mission filter, little shield icon far right at the top
Hmm not showing up I guess itโs bugged then. Thanks!
99SCU in a raft, perfect fit
I had a freight quest get abandoned after I was forcibly logged off but I still have the items, where can I sell them? They are marked as stolen
Scrap yards or Grim hex should take them.
Ok thanks
Workaround to sell RCM or Construction Materials that does not belong to you although stations like Grim Hex and NQA terminals should take it: You have to click on the top right of the item. #shorts #starcitizen
Check that if you still canโt sell them
Anyone know if I can take 8x1SCU box of RMC and put it inside 1x 8SCU box?
I saw a stream about it, and it worked
Boxception
anyone have a workaround for when mission cargo doesnt show in local inventory?
I dont think so people are saying that cargo missions are just broken for now
Manage to do one yesterday
just did my first bunker and trying to sell the things that i got in it like weavel eggs, but it wont let me sell them at devin's scarp and salvage because of container size, not sure what this means or how to fix this
the image isnโt great but if you zoom in on where it says my items there is a box with a number and a no access symbol on it, no idea what this means
There's a small freight elevator at Devlin's (looks like orange rectangle, outside the main circle of buildings), place the goods there instead of selling from ship.
Sized 5x8x3, so it should be able to accept even 32 SCU
okay thank you very much
was just watching a old youtube video where the guy just sells them off his ship
Yeah, selling off ships is no longer possible, everything needs to go to freight elevators and under ground to location storage.
alrighty thanks for the help
GJ CIG, not like thats the whole point of 3.24 or anything
Those who had the issue with Seraphim, do you remember the commodiy? Was it Silicon? That's the only one I had an issue with and I ran other missions from Seraphim:
anyone know how much the higher level hauling jobs payout?
Just tried a hauling job from Everus accepting it from a different area. Nope still doesn't work, more rep lost. Uselsss patch and devs.
I've heard 180k for one of the higher but not highest tiers
Wow, good amount. Also i am having troubles packing smaller boxes into the 8scu container. Anyone else having this issue?
experienced rank pay 50-80k depending on mission I didn't get above that level in PTU
lol
put the drugs in the freight elevator at devlin's scrap and salvage but it says i only have one unit of goods when i put multiple and when i try to sell it, it says transaction cost mismatch, what does this mean?
What is. The best cargo ship as of now
Maybe the goods are counted as crates of goods of given size. Are they all 1 SCU containers or bigger?
How are you suppose to get the cargo for the hauling missions, nothing in the warehouse at location for pickup?
maybe but then what does transaction cost mismatch mean whenever i click the sell button
@sinful stump Best is subjective really. Different jobs have different uses. 3.24 makes you think about taking the right ship for each job.
.
Iโll send you what you said
Hull A holds 64 SCU on an external grid, but is small and relatively slow and less agile. Great little ship to get started, but an easy target. Good for small hauling missions and small commodity trading.
.
C1 holds 64 SCU on the internal grid and is quicker/more agile than most. Has a tractor beam. Good option for small hauling missions and commodity trading. Good option for risky RMC trading.
.
RAFT is great for smaller loads, not the fastest or most agile but decent enough, holds 96 SCU on the external grid, can squeeze another ~4 into the airlock. No tractor beam, yet. Good option for small hauling missions and commodity trading.
.
Freelancer MAX holds 120 SCU on the internal storage grid that is the exact same amount you can request in a single load from a commodity trading outpost. Speed and handling are okay, nothing special. No tractor beam. Good option for small/medium hauling missions and commodity trading. Possibly an option for risky RMC trading.
.
Constellation Taurus holds 174 SCU on the internal grid and is a bigger ship with better HP and firepower. Elevator offers good access. Has a tractor beam. Good option for medium/large hauling missions and commodity trading. Worth considering for risky RMC trading, just a bigger target!
.
C2/M2 can hold large quantities of cargo (696/522 SCU) on an internal grid but are bigger targets at outposts and take much longer to load/unload. No tractor beam. Best for large/XL hauling missions and commodity trading.
.
There are other ships like the Corsair (72 SCU - not intentionally meant for cargo), Caterpillar (576 - pain in the ass to load right now). You could use an MSR etc as well.
(sorry for spam, couldn't post original long message!)
And what about using a hull c ?
Currently many issues but it's the only/best orbital option right now
Not a Hull C owner myself (yet) but heard many bad stories
As the most-produced ship in the Hull range, the MISC Hull C is widely regarded as the most common and versatile vessel in the galaxy. Designed to occupy the middle ground between smaller, single-person transports and the massive super freighters that dominate the market, the Hull C offers expansive modularity while retaining a degree of maneuverability. With its exceptional configurability, the Hull C is the go-to choice for freighter captains seeking a reliable and adaptable cargo transport solution. Its reputation for defensibility and adaptability has made it the standard for transport jobs across known space.

Bear in mind Hull C trade routes are going to get a lot more pirate attention now ๐
It's an old bug, when selling quantities >3 of stuff that has a non-round price, the system does the rounding differently on different layers, triggering this. Best known for this is Aphorite, and ROC miners avoid it because of it. I guess with boxes of 4 SCU and bigger it could run into the same issue.
Unless they buffed it and I'm not aware, you got the Corsair SCU wrong. It's 72.
My bad, 96 is the stuffed-in-the-back figure I use, not the official one. I'll edit now!
doubt it, no one wants to hand move 4000 scu of anything, especially if at best its like 1mil worth of goods
fair, though given that RMC pirating opportunities are going to reduce now or be a lot harder, you never know ๐
is there a work around for this or am i just unable to sell any of it?
If it's happening for a single 1 SCU box, then afaik there's nothing to do about it (apart from filing a report with Issue Council, since it's gotten more pressing than before)
thats a shame. Thank you for all the help though!
CIG promised some hotfixes before weekend, so you can maybe try later, before abandoning the boxes for good (or just leaving them in location storage, coming from time to time to check on them...)
Running to the same issue. Has happened several times now
Hello. Maybe it was asked several times already, but how is Hull C working in 3.24? Thanks!
Oh
i see it was discussed above lol ๐
i haven't been having any new issues with it
What about old issues?
the spawning in and the docking collar is still closed is happening still but less frequently, same fix as last time still works
other than that, smooth sailing
thanks!
If I store my ship, the vulture for example, will I be able to sell everything that in that ship including boxes thrown in areas that arent technically storage areas. Or will it only let me sell the boxes that are locked into hard points?
you will have to move all boxes into the cargo elevator
either automatically for a fee and wait time or manually
Ok thanks.
I imagine sites like UEX and SC Trade Tools haven't been properly updated yet? Those will likely take a few days, right?
Does anyone know why the delivery missions are so buggy? Can't even find the shipment Im supposed to deliver
Because CIG suck. Primary point of this patch doesn't even work
The game is alpha and arguably the patch was pushed out a bit too soon, unfortunately the issue with cargo not in the warehouse is known, if you're sure you are doing everything right it's possible you've encountered that bug, it seems most common at Seraphim and Everus Harbor
That said I've run around 30 now and I've only been unable to complete 1
yea it was at everus
Hopefully they get a hotfix in soon
I will actually defend them this time, because the hauling missions worked for a good 95% of the PTU. This was never a thing then. I think this may be server related, as they worked for me when the patch first went live, and then started having issues overnight.
Yeah it's probably the age old servers struggling, that really has to improve with server meshing or we're just going to keep going 1 step forward, 3 steps back.
I'm lucky I guess that so many have worked for me, I'm taking a break and doing some salvage now lol
I started doing independent cargo trading, to figure out best routes.
Looking forward to seeing what gets found!
CIG was rolling out hotfix this night, you probably got caught in server updates.
So far, RMC can be sold for a profit, but a very small one, so def not worth it anymore.
Gold is best for smaller ships, as inventory is usually pretty limited at the outposts where it's sold.
Beryl is largely available, and in large quantities, so good for medium ships. Decent margins, but not huge unless you're hauling a lot of it.
Hephestanite seems to be most convinient, being available at the gateways, so you can call up 32 SCU boxes. Relatively sheap to buy in bulk, and decent margins.
All depends if you only want auto-loading to be available or you're OK manually loading.
What are people's opinions on moving the 32 scu boxes with the tractor beams?
Just use the rifle. It's fine
Maxlift works great imo, but you just need to practice to find best way to do it
So cargo missions
The cargo is supposed to appear in local storage once you take the job, right?
They're just fucked, yeah?
given you can't even get the 32 boxes out of outposts i can't comment yet haha
1 in 30 for me
But it could be getting worse I guess
alright cool cool cool cool cool the literal only feature of this update is completely non functional classic SC
Maybe 4.1 will be worth playing
Oh, just straight up none of mine have worked
And everyone in chat is complaining theirs aren't either
Guess that server is just rekt
Is there any place where the first hauling mission isn't bugged?
Is there any cargo layout for ships so i can buy the right boxes to buy
any links would help
The latest pinned message in this channel has a comprehensive guide for all the ships in game currently with grids.
I tried 3 cargo missions last night and the cargo never spawned in my warehouse
I just accepted 7 missions, all from Tressler to one DC. Not a single box appeared in warehouse. Bye bye rep, hello outlaw life
Hey there is a new patch this weekend...
Really missed the boat not making outlaw cargo contracts.
Most people are tripping over the same stick, so to speak: Seraphim and Everus.
Iโve only had issues with baijini for hauling missions. It worked perfectly fine until I chose select all and moved the elevator and it only partially loaded the cargo. The rest of it disappeared. Due to that I cancelled the contract and now that particular space station is always bugged for me if I need to haul from baijini
Tressler is the same. Two relogs, no mission cargo ever spawned. Mission cargo in NB spawned without issues.
It sounds like whatever system manages the cargo on the back end is dying on its ass, was fine all yesterday.
hopping its not RL becouse if RL is dying now with 1DGS+RL how will it be with 4.0 and 4DGS+RL
I have some stuff in my warehouse I want to move into my ship, is there an auto-load or do I have to move each box one by one by one?
There's an autoload, your ship has to be stored. It costs credits and takes time
How do you do that?
Man Hull C will be fun when hauling mission bug is fixed
It's an option when you buy cargo for commodities trading. It seems like anything in the warehouse, including mission cargo, can't be autoloaded right now
Unless I'm missing something, that also means I can't stockpile RMC manually, and autoload a C2 with the result
I'm not buying commodities
They're in my Warehouse from when I've been salvaging
Ah wait sorry I misread
Yeah it's a little disappointing. Maybe some day they'll add an option for autoload to the warehouse elevator screen
Would also like an auto-packing option, so i can box up my gear and equipment for transport
I thought the manager screen let you move things into SCU containers, haven't tried yet
Probably, but I have over 1000scu of stuff at Orison (and maybe a slight hoarding problem), and I'd rather it be at Seraphim, and thats a lot of loading crates that I'd rather throw money at someone else to do lol
Hate how the "move all" feature is completely busted
You can always hire a cargo friend, after you pack and raise the elevator with it
Inventory management needs a lot of work and QoL features, hopefully soonโข
no it was way better when we had drawers but some backers whole world ended bcouse of them
I mean, it can be great again, still needs work and QoL features lol
it was fine there was even search function and better filters but sadly some backers could not handle drawers that took like 5-10s of your time
I would love a stack all button, and an empty all containers button. Drawers sound nice too, but there's still room for further improvement
And would be nice if more things actually stacked
thats CIG problem they rather scrap whole idea than actually fix it
Feedback threads are open right now, give feedback if you haven't already. I've been writing up some stuff in them myself
how do i get the cargo off this ship i destroyed?
same way you get cargo off a ship that isn't destroyed - tractor beam
they butchered the range of the tractor beam and now i cant even reach it unless im standing directly in front of it
there are more options for tractor beams than the multitool
This is why the Taurus is best for murder cargo
im using a cutty black, which has a tractor beam but its the worst piece of shit ever, i dont think they tested it when they made it, they just slapped it in and said looks good.
Well it'll get the cargo out onto the ground at least
idk about that. theres a lack of a beam coming from this tractor beam, unless im doing something wrong
its just lmb by default right?
Create an account or sign in to Issue Council. Track bugs on and vote on the issues to help the development team identify what to work on next.
alr thx, ship is useless
Depends on ship size. Probably the most universal answer is beryl from Ita (Ryder or Woodruff) to Lorville.
I feel this
At one point I had to put stuff into SCU containers so I could mass sell armor and guns
As it was taken ages to sell stuff
i got mine from 117% to 101% selling what I could, but inventory was definitely not fully loading at market kiosks, and couldnt sell everything i wanted to even when it did ๐ฆ
I would through stuff in a SCU container and just sell it at the Cargo Hold in Port Tressler
Because SCU containers were broken and could store any amount. Even past its limits
It was nice
Wonder if they fixed the issues with the containers and showing infinite storage
You can load all your weapons and armor into SCU crates in the warehouse and then go to a store and sell all the contents of a box immediately. You don't get full price, but it clears out the inventory
Just moving stuff into the scu boxes isn't working great either
is ideal trading still smo-18 to nb selling gold or is there any decent routes?
they fix hauling yet so i can start doing it?
If you get the freight elevator to work then yes. No price changes so far it seems.
I tried to put like 20 armor pieces + 50 missiles into freight cargo but they came up all over the place! is there a way to put them in a big box?
I picked a eval mission saying pick up 6SCU of Corundum from Baijini freight elevator and deliver to Riker but there is nothing in the freight elevator, should I buy 6SCU and deliver it or what am I missing?
is it broken?
You cant buy replacement cargo. It's just broken, which is hilarious given these missions are the entire point of the patch
so if the contract says pick x number of x cargo from this station and the hanger dont show it = broken? no bypass around it? abandon the mission?
yep, no way around it
ship size on pad dont matter? or even ship being on the pad dont matter?
Nope.
this suxk
yep
I am LIVE what the hell do I show as 3.24? lol
people my cargo box dont show up anymore when I take the mission and also my hangar have many old containers from previously failed mission what should I do with them
Cargo still doesnt work on Hotfix build LMAO
Hang in there and pray!!!
PSA: Using Auto-Load process for a C2 to haul Heph from Pyro to A18.
Time penalty for loading is 4:50, Time penalty to unload is 5:38
Net after paying fees (fees are the same regardless of what you are hauling)
just under $233,000 aUEC profit
Also, Farrister did a great little printer video worth watching
it still doesnt work???
Now my Covalex rep is so low after all these bugged hauling missions I literally don't even get them offered anymore. Meaning even IF they fix them I cant do them. This is fucking garbo.
Is it possible for you to do the mission with someone else who still have access to hauling mission to fix your rep?
If it works like other rep, you'll get a re-cert contract after a while. Not sure how long before it shows up or how it works with hauling
are there any cargo orgs?

any place where the intro hauling mission is on land? not working at new babage
i belive all intro missions are from LEO to spaceport and Orison also does not work
im getting pickup from tressler to greycat production center
does anyone know if there has been a fix or a work around for that intro Hauling mission. Im not able to get it working on any of the LEOs
No. I just got off the game for the same reason
lol gotcha, glad I'm not alone
how bad is the reduction for stolen contract cargo
SCU for my haul mission isnt in warehouse, where do i get it to go to my elevator?
You don't, it's currently broken.
idk if anyone else has been doing much commodity trading but i think hull-c is the way to go this patch
from pyro to where>
?
was refering to in general profit per hour as well as roi per run
what runs are u using for it
ive tried a few different routes so far, baijini everus hephaestanite was decent profit but i had to wait to sell all of it
profits only seem 100k less than c2 and you don't have to spend as much time loading/unloading as well as landing / taking off
not much of an advice considering Hull C is broken
how so?
you don't need to dock it at all if that's what you're implying
i spent 2 hours yesterday in the hull c and 2 in the c2, and i was alot more successful in the hull c, especially when it came to encountering bugs
got that commencing cargo transfer stuck at 0:00
before the cargo is loaded up? you just leave box, retract spindals (or not, unsure if necessary) and call cargo lady again and it fixes that for me
yeah
thats like a 20 second delay at most
hardly enough to claim hull c broken; null advice
gonna try this anyways whats best trade runs anyways JPs or LEOs?
depends on goods and if you want to loop so you're always buying selling
So first trade runs still eork
missions are fucked, don't work at all
I've been staying away from LEOs, they seem to be working for other locations, dropping at LEO is fine
old cargo from failed mission filling my inventory, cargo from fresh missions dont show up anymore, anyone else has the same issues ?
Is there a workaround for the waiting for cargo transfer? (Im not sure if this is exactly what it says)
So basically, I sold my RMC without unloading it first in TDD, NB - and I had to put the cargo inside the freight and send it down as per the TDD instructions.
I did see the sell price in the freight kiosk. Problem is, I did not receive the payment after selling it. Cargo is gone from the warehouse, TDD kiosk shows that they are still waiting for the cargo to be manually unloaded.
Is this a known issue as well?
How do you mean?
Docking the hull c at stations
Can you expound a little more? You bring a laden hull c and... Auto unload in the hangar?
no its the same as last patch
land on/next to pad, go inside buy cargo, take it to cargo loading/unloading area.
Wouldnt atc inpound it if you land on pad?
why? everyone leaves their ships there all the time
and you just land next to it when you're loaded
Thank im just delivering cargo with it
yay completed it and earned 280k
processed food Bajini to Everus
where you doing this one?
numbers are from .22 so obviously not same costs and profits
hey is it just me or Hull C is loaded/unloaded really fast?
i believe seraphim now sells helium which is pretty good, can sell at pyro for 304k profit or baijini for 313k
yeah i think its changed, might be a bug though since my timer for loading hasn't been showing up
used to be 5min per load/unload
im waiting for hauling missions to work for Hull C so it can start to shine
hauling missions will not have similar profits though
but upside of not dealing with docking and no upfront costs is worth it
What quantum drive do you use for hauling w/ the Hull C?
did not changed it yet so Kama
TS2 is best
anyways loaded Hull C feels like a container ship any course corrections take time
i use ts2
yeah i love it, actual space trucking
so do ANY of the intro hauling missions work or is it 100% busted right now? I've tried the seraphim to orison one like 4x
maybe i need to go elsewhere?
You've tried (one of) the worst one(s)
Where do you recommend I go?
Be sure to report back on your findings
Guess Iโll give it a shot
If Hull C is so slow to turn what will Hull D need SRV to act as tug?
D and E aren't out, i don't think there is currently a need to speculate. but i think they will just be slower, not necessary tug needed
No luck at BNaijini for me
Is the contract tracked? Try toggling it
Tried toggling it
There's no cargo in the warehouse is the problem
Tried abandoning it and grabbing a new one, same thing. then tried "submit" to close that one and grab a new one, same thing
If you already did the entry-mission, all lagrange-point stations should work. The planetside stations are not working at all
Don't abandon too many or your rep will go down, just relog
The entry mission is what I'm having problem with so I can't access those ones yet
Doesn't relogging just auto-abandon it
It drops it without affecting your rep
I thought logging with an open contract still affected rep
People on reddit were complaining about negative rep due to all the failures but someone chimed in with that tip
What
I haven't tested it out personally, but it's worth a shot considering the known alternative
I had 4 juniors and logged and now Iโm not eligible
I dont thin kyou actually even have rep until you do the intro mission - rep for hauling doesn't exist for me yet in the rep tab
Hello guys, I was wondering, I have a Connie Andromeda, and lately I've been kinda tired of fighting, and I've been wanting to try my luck at trading, do y'all have any pro tips ? Thanks
Baijini doesnt work for me at all
Tried relogging and baijini still doesn't work. i'm gonna head to Lorville and try there
seems like everywhere is broken then
Start small and don't spend all your money on a single trip.
That's been spotty for me too, ship detection is not 100%
How do I do autoloading?
How much are y'all making an hour with the contracts?
I went from Baijini to Everus w/ food, landed on pad and sold, told me to go to cargo area. I've requested from cargo but I'm not getting another box to fly into to drop off cargo...what am I doing wrong?
@knotty dove do you know either?
(in Hull C)
whats the audio queue? is it telling you to unload?
Cargo here -- let's see what ya got
and nothing after that line?
usually it tells you to pull up or that you have nothing
Right, nothing
did you check if you actually sold?
My money didn't go up
the commodity should tell you ready to unload
you get paid after the loading is done
nah it just worked for me but that was 24h after getting Hull C with leftover storecredits so im new to it.
Is it an order of operations thing?
I showed up, landed near pad and went in to sell, terminal said "ok now go to cargo area to unload". I pinged cargo after getting back in ship and nothing has happened
to sell you need to use terminal first then go unload
2 things Hull C is risky from release plus 3.24 is buggy mess
i think for time being i will use regular cargo ships(C2,cat) just lost 1.4mil due to bug
Jesus the NPC scanners are out in FORCE today
watch it they also have ramming trendecys
Had this last patch. Never got rid of it.
All I can say is good luck, and at least it doesnโt actually affect gameplay
Hah, great
YeahโฆIโd say the risks of bugs with cargo and bugs unrelated to cargo make the hull c generally an unnecessary risk. Use a C2 and do pyro to other stations
Or other routes
So it stays on across logins/resets no matter what?
I never tried resets as they have literally never fixed anything for me since they became the repairs instead of resets
But yeah
Stayed there when in ships across servers and log ins.
Including going to EU and all those tricks
I just learned to play with it
Ur lucky, u got it at a start. We probably will have several more hotfix patches and they said we will get .x patches too. Should go awayโฆshould
What intro hauling mission worked for people?
Fair answer, I don't want to commit entirely to cargo though, I like the huge number of missiles
Will check then
Testing something, apparently if you pick up 1 SCU of whatever and request claim but then wait out the timer, the message will go away
guys does auto load work? gna try renting a cat but dont think i could possibly bear manually loading 576 scus
Good to know! Thank you lol
It works on stations and cities. And it only works for cargo not part of missions
Also it wonโt be as bad as you think moving the boxes. They arenโt 576 1 SCU boxes
Lmk
i manualy loaded C2 in PTU you get used to it
not really just put cargo out of elevator alongside Cat then board cat and tractor cargo into cat
cant someone come along and just start stealing my cargo with their tractor beam lol
At out posts yes technically
Hence why outposts are more meant for smaller cargo ships. Even then, they need to work on getting ways for us to combat it or for NPCs to police depending on the legal stuff where you are in the verse. They said they are working on it
at outposts yes, but Cat is not meant to be used at outposts
so what commodity should i be trading then with the cat
Resources are still being updated I think, but you can use SC trader and stuff.
I believe there is a good hephestine route from pyro gateway to a station, I forget which one.
atm more hauling missions when they work
There are also some other commodities
Then yeah
Cargo missions when they work
I still really want to find out how much pirated mission cargo sells for
Pyro JP to any other other JP but its worth it with hull C only
I was looking at it with ships other than hull c earlier I think
C2
Pyro loriville with a cat is 250k or so profit
Thatโs not bad at all lol
did you actualy check it or just trust what you are told
Had to bedlog since cargo dispatch was held up again, spawned next to Stanton instead of right next to Baijini
Yeah SC trade tools
no hard feelings but i dont trust that site
Iv had no issues with it
based on what im seeing Medical supplies,Gold and Beryl are still best profit wise for Cat and C2
but remember doing gold run is tempting fate
I just checked UEX as well. Same numbers
Has anyone tried just buying the X amount of X type of cargo to get past the starter hauling mission? Or is the cargo "special"?
Where is distilled spirits available?
Farms generally
Waiting it out did not work, now trying to do it again and flying away
does anyone know the best way to offer loading services to others? Like idependent contracting? I have thought of making a form or a discord server, but passing a link over global chat in game does not seem like a great idea
probably #looking-for-session
How tricky is loading the Caterpillar? There's quite a few missions once you get to experienced rank that could make it viable
Itโs not too bad
I might grab one in game
Medium > Experienced have some missions around 300scu in 16scu boxes so should fit. I'd love to do those with my Carrack but they keep forcing me to use my C2 lol.
I started doing a 100 and a 400 ish together one mission in thr front, one in the back kinda setup.
didn't CIG mention smth about being able to select your box sizes yourself?
oh alright, so when buying cargo yourself, then you can select the size of the boxes yeah? Does the mission state which size of boxes it will feature?
I think it doesn't
I suppose it's part of the difficulty setting... it's just a bit unfortunate for the caterpillar since other ships with similar and lower SCU cap can have 32SCU containers...
I would like to know what size the boxes are before accepting a mission
It doesn't tell you the sizes of the boxes, but it will tell you the maximum size
And from what I've seen it tries to always put the max amount of a size before putting lower sizes
I have seen 100 SCU of the same matwrial be put in many 8scu boxes. I think it depends on the difficulty
Yes, that's why the contract description need to be read, you can calculate the boxes you'll have, for example on a 13 scu contract with max size being 4scu you know you will have 3x4scu and 1x1scu
The quantity that has to be delivered doesn't impact the max size you will receive, the description does it
alright, I'll check again soon. Didn't see the max size info in the mission description yet.
That's a 2x4 scu crate for example if i take that one
I dont know if it is 100%reliable tough
I struggled with the cargo not appearing in the warehouse until someone said to go to the lagrange points (to take the from <lagrange point> missions)
that helps, thanks
Your welcome
Juniors will state max size from what Iโve seen
Like itโll say what the biggest box is. Wonโt say how many though
that's fine. That's all I need to know. I didn't take the time to read the long description yet and that's on me.
Wait....there is a fix for cargo not showing up in the warehouse??
Iโll give it a shot
Which stations are at larange points?
The ones which aren't right above the planet's city
L + number
Thank you
I tried that, but not a single hauling contract ever spawns when I'm at a L point
Hi i need some help maybe i'm doing something wrong i don't know tbh. I bought 4906 scu worth of helium for my hull c at seraphim. So i got into my hull c requested cargo services and flew to the box it gives you. Everytime i get in it however and stand completely still (even engine off and yes spindle is extended) the game freaks out and just start repeatedly spitting line of there was an error transfering your cargo make sure the area is clear stuff. Anyone know how to fix this?
I heard someone say that retracting and extending the spindle again fixed it for them
Didn't work for me i even stored my ship again, claimed a new one and retried it all
just doesn't work for me anymore since 3.24 for some reason
guess the game got another 950k ish richer ig
pretty sure i'm not seeing that cargo ever again
You can't get crates bigger than 8 SCU from outposts right?
Same here
same
same
bigger than 16 I believe, they're size 24 scu elevators
For the cargo mission do I need to do something to get my mission cargo in the freight elevator?
Trying to do the first hauling mission on MT and have no idea how to get quartz to pop up at port tressler.
Yeah, I think unfortunately that's why they're reporting degraded status, issues with getting cargo to pop.
Ah saw the degraded performance message but didn't actually read it. Oh well. Still got double hot dogs.
Yep, though I'd say it's at least promising that they consider this one bad enough to report that status. It is kind of the main point of the patch, so I suspect they'll get to it sooner rather than later FWIW.
I'm sure they want their shiny new mission type to work in PU as soon as possible.
I went to Lagrange points and didnโt get any missions. Tried cru-L2, mic L5, Hur-L1, and Terra-Stanton jump point
But as soon as I go to any planet station I got missions
I only have access to the certification mission
Which I donโt think spawns at Lagrange points
Thatโs that only one Iโve seen ๐คทโโ๏ธ Iโll wait for the fix
Any pro tips to getting an intro to hauling mission to succeed? Do they pop up at any places I'm not checking that might work where the normal stations do not?
Clearly there is a well known issue with empty warehouse at planetary stations, was wondering if you could get the intro missions at gates or L1s or something.
I don't think it spawns elsewhere than leo stations, and sadly there's nothing else than trying and trying and trying or wait for a fix, they just get worse the more time pass by
Yesterday i could get stuff from missions at Orison and Mining Area.
Yeah, those aren't the starting missions though. Would love to join you and get one of these post-starting missions shared!
You mean a rookie one?
we can try to share one of them.
Correct.
All right lets try ist pm me
Do I need to be in my own hangar to see the cargo on the loading screen for a mission? I cant be in a party members?
heads up. if you are sharing hauling missions to help others get past the intro hauling mission. doing a junior rank mission will almost level their rep up from trainee, to rookie, and almost all the way to junior
Any way to fix the freight elevator terminals at mining stations when they are stuck in the "Active" state? Can't interact with one.
I didn't see a "sell" button at the main trade terminals at Orison. How do we sell things? I put my crate of RMC into the warehouse.
The terminal at a mining station where I was attempting to get some cargo for a hauling mission was displaying the UI as though it was active - someone using it. It was not interactible.
Every time I bedlog it seems to put me - in my ship - at the center of stanton. Inconvenient, but at least it doesn't make me claim my ship or something.
What location are you selecting to sell from?
You ARE the Star Citizen
At Orison. I took the crate off the Vulture.
In the sell screen, did you select local inventory to sell from?
Not sure, I can check tomorrow.
I don't remember exactly what it's called, but, yeah, it wouldn't be from the Vulture at that point.
It would be in the city inventory
I am trying to get my fist cargo mission, accepted it already, but the cargo does not show in the elevator, what am I doing wrong?
itโs bugged currently
cargo isnโt spawning for the hauling mission. hence the โdegradedโ performance notice on the launcher
how do i split the stack. got a stack of 166 scu and the elivator only holds 120?
Right click and split.. i guess
Brios broken?
Hi I am new, what is the best cargo route please?
damn this is slow going I think that's 9 or so member missions already :/
I weas hoping to see 1/2 way at least lol
I think it's still being figured out for 3.24 as it's a whole new cargo flow, what ships do you have as this will make a big difference?
with this patch they added more Cargo ships available to rent, the best one would be the constellation taurus as it takes like 170(ish) SCU - the only downside is you can't change the QD on the rental and it's a slow industrial one I believe.
2nd slowest quantum drive at its size
It was painful taking like 14 minutes going from a18 to new Babbage
is sc-trade-tools still the go to for prices?
I went back to the Orison TDD and there is no "local" inventory tab there is only one for
"Orison" and that call out does not show the RMC nor does any of the other tabs for the Commodities. Also, I would think there should be some kind of a "sell" button but there is only Buy and Local Market Value information. Seems glitched and my 1 scu crate of RMC is in the void somewhere. EDIT: My 1 scu crate is in the warehouse at Orison. I guess this glitch needs to be fixed later on unless I'm just stupid. Which I am at times. EDIT: I fixed this by leaving the RMC in the ship, go to the TDD, then offload to the local freight elevator.
In general yes but there may be some updating going on since this cargo update is so new. For RMC I have seen a range of 12 k to 14 k.
One more question: Should I just buy the fastest possible quantum drive? Or will I be running into fuel issues
Generally yes but it depends on the ship some with low tanks might want a slower and more efficient qd
Raft has huge qd tanks so go for speed
You can use erkul.games website to view the ships capabilities.
We're as up to date as everything else out there!
Of course it's still contingent on player reports.
anything worth trading these days in a C2 or Hull C?
beryl is still good for c2
Hephastenite in a C2 can be done with only autoloading. It's not bad at all.
Not 3.23 RMC levels, but not bad.
thx
Can anyone help me get hauling contracts, I am still stuck on the first one that is bugged
Try going to an L-point and check the contract tab there, mission cargo spawning in L-x stations afaik works.
I tried it, the first mission can only be accepted for LEO's
I've done it, you think party up, sharing it and finish it would kick you over the need to do it? (I have Lx hauling contracts available)
Yes, I need someone to party up with
Am I right in thinking that vulture salvage around a Lagrange point and then storing RMC and picking up bulk loads in a cargo ship is a thing now?
how do I sell my hadanite now?
From your backpack
Yeah
so... if I have 1500 hadanite I have to fill my inventory with 70 hadanite each time I have to selll and make +20 trips?
Get a novikov or prembroke undersuit with the large backpack in the cargo deck and carrry ~140 gems instead
Then make the trips
I hope you're joking
I wish
damn. I wanted to play a game, not have another job >.<
SIR. This is a simulation and we are play testers! We're all here because we aren't punished enough in our day jobs and need more to feel fulfilled.
Everyone secretly wants to be QA and this allows folks to pay to realize that dream in space.
they said they don't want this to be a simulator or arcade, but something inbetween
A simulated arcade
/s
I'm here because I like pressure washer simulator in my big Tonka space ship
Man, the raft is awful
Would throwing 20$ at the problem and upgrading to a freelancer max be a dumb decision?
IMO MAX is great but just shows its age however im against solutions that require throwing money at problem
Well the alternative is I refund down to my aurora and stop playing
I don't even know really
well besides MAX i would say C1 and upcoming Zeus CL are great options as well
What're the prices like on those? I'm only looking at the freelancer cause the upgrade costs 17$
CL was 150USD same as MAX, but sadly price increase is expected when it becomes flyable but C1 is priced same as raft
Zeus CL will be a great pickup for 150usd (it will go up ~10-15% when released)
Nope. I ran around with the max in free fly and liked it
yeah you can load like 2 URSAs if you are brave
Did commodity values change significantly to the point where I might pay attention to legal trade items dropped by bounties?
I load a C8R in a Corsair to make a mid sized medical ship. I ain't scared.
Easier to do the Nursa
not yet
I agree. But I don't have one
Easy solution! ๐ค
Anyone else having issues selling to TDD? The manual loading loses my inventory, and trying to store the ship and have them take it just gives me errors
Stick with the max until you can get to the Taurus or larger. The freelancer max has an easy to access storage system and is just big enough for the medium hauling missions
what dont you like ?
harder to drive than a C2, putting cargo in is janky, slower than walking, no tractor beam
I guess the fact that it has 28k QT fuel is a plus
i found you really need to use the vtol with the raft otherwise the vertical movement is horrible
big win is the size 2 quantum drive, i can do crusader to arccorp in 4 mins in the raft it, it took 8 in the hull a with best quantum drive
you want bad performance? fly a fully loaded hull c
and watch the planet orbit faster than you can rotate
That's not really a fair comparison though
tbf, neither is comparing the c2 to the raft, especially since crusader engines are way better than every other ship
raft has a top tier kitchen though
