I think Iโve gotten 2 30kโs since the start of 3.23, and both times the recovery worked
a "30k" like those new ones where the game just pauses? or the actual 30k where you were booted to main menu?
Booted
If you donโt claim your ship after a 30k (wait 10-15 mins), then you can call it in and your stuff will be fine
If you claim your ship immediately then you lose everything
i only just started the game so don't take my word on it but i believe the mustang alpha is a better fighter so if you like bounty hunting that may be better fit, on other side with sale the aurora is 5 bucks cheaper
But alpha is not on a discount in a very interesting package
They won't be able to switch to a Mustang Alpha in future because of it an Aurora MR being the same value, but they'll always be able to upgrade to something like the Titan
Ohh yeah didn't even think of that
how does taurus tractor beam turret work? i'm trying to target boxes size 32 and 8 in my open cargo bay, can't target them. i'm outside combat restricted area, ship is in combat mode, out of ideas
Tried reclaiming ship, do i need to melt it and re-buy it or what
dude cargo doesent even work anymore, it just disappears or the kiosk bug out, or hell some ships don't even have their grids working.
oof, still, wanted to use taurus for bounty looting, i'll try melting/rebuying and see if that works
Cargo containers on a cargo grid can vanish when a ship is stored. I try not to store my ships while they have cargo on the grid, for commodity trading I'll sell the cargo off before storing the ship. Hopefully this will get fixed soon after ILW.
Lost nearly 8 million of RMC, in one game bug the other night. Seems to be a bug where if you don't store your ship and sell some of the cargo then try to store the ship with the remainder of the cargo, there's a good chance you loose all of the remainder of the cargo. That's what happened to me anyway.
i lost all my cargo earlier becuase i equipped a paint on the ship lol
There's a cargo duplication bug active in the game world. Be aware of the alternative remedies for this.
Think the cargo dup bug fix is supposed to come in 3.23.1a, and 3.23.2 will totally change things up with freight elevators and stuff.
anyone know how much auec is recommended to start cargo?
tryna get into it but kinda brand new
all my cargo just decided to disappear

gotta love loosing 100k in cargo
just because
Is the Hull-C fully working now?
is there a timer for the commodities ? refreshes
It's the cargo dupe glitch. I can cover your losses if you want.
Generally 10 minutes or relog.
please! ;3;
i'm new and i'm broke
i would be very grateful
thanks
Want to take this dm mode? I can't play until the morning time.
ah sure!
Is SC Trade Tool still the best? I've seen multiple ones being used lately.
UEXCorp should be good too if you can figure out the interface, they've teamed up with SC Trade Tools
What trading would be best with a Corsair?
I heard that 3.23.2 is the cargo/hangar update???
Pirate trading
isnt corsair bad for pvp though?
Yes but i meant only as cargo
Pirates are rarely alone
It was a Drake joke nvm ๐
aside from the free flight ones this update lol so many pirate noobs
To answer your question the more cargo you get the more profit you can do.
But trading what and where?
RMC for example from Rappel to Lorville
Maybe an expert in cargo trading can give you more places, you can also check some trading sites for routes.
Well I did try that but almost all the stuff it told me to trade was either sold out or the station had to much of it
What are the big commodities this patch?
Look on the website for Gold or other minerals
You can put some filters
What about UEX?
Can you give us the link too?
Hello. New one here. I am not sure if I am on correct channel but just wanted to ask. Are nowdays "simple" box missions that hard as I see on various YT channels? Not to mention bugged? Is that part of game better. As i am usually more casual player I wondered what is in game what could be considered "casual" mission with minimal problems involved nowdays? I am not getting into the game if I won't have fun time that is why I am asking. At least for start
Scrap, mining, and the trading are probably the casual non-combat missions available
Box missions have historically been buggy, even as recent as 3.22. Haven't tried one in 3.23.
Mining? That is one that I go in caves and handmine arroun at start? I guess I cant scrap as newbie or trade.
I already in past requested refound already so that is why I am carefull in extreme nowdays so if simple stuff don't work, well I got other games to play honestly. Boxes look like chill stuff to do at start so i am surprised that they just don't cat to fix stuff that usualy every newbie do at start. On my last try I got titan and few days later I asked for refound as none of damn simple box missions worked and well hand mining is not fun honestly with measly profit. (ok maybe is nowdays a bit better).
So im at jumptown and only one here, how can it go out of stock? do the whole planet share the "supply"?
Supply stocks are shared across all servers of a same region
Use !tradetools
One-stop-shop for everything trade related in Star Citizen: best trade routes, best mining spots, etc.
do I have to go out of the trading terminal to see when the "tick" hits or does it update automatically?
Doesn't update automatically
You either have to exit it, or change the selling/buying location
Ah, damn ok thx
So on sc tools it said i could sell slam, but couldnt see it on glen dale station
Parked my C2, Retrieved it -> No Cargo there anymore
7.8M lost.
Im going to the Trading Terminal now, the boxes inside of the ship were gone
praying that its just a visual bug
phew, just a visual bug - i love my life
sold all my cargo
Now you can throw your ship away cause it's gonna tell you it's full when you try to buy
Welp you were right. Cant use it anymore.
I know
is uex right in saying rmc is now 22k to buy?
No, that's only in certain locations
i mean it's all the main ones the dupers have been using accoirding to uex, which would be grand minus me not being able to steal it from them anymore lol
Don't know where you're seeing that cause I only see the correct 11k buy price and 14k sell price
Think I found it
You only care about the first four
and dunboro+makers point is bugged, as far as I heard
so only 2 points to buy
Yeah
Can ores like Hadanite or Aphorite be bought and sold (trading)?
Nope
Those are gems not ores BTW.
Oh ty
Building closest to the center of the crater
Ill look for when I come back, I bed logged close to rappel
May not be exactly that, but it's a building at the extremity of the settlement
Settlement has more of an elongated shape, so they're only two extremities
Hold on imma take a pic on the wiki if there's any
[[Rappel]]
Rappel is a derelict settlement built on Hurston in the Stanton system.
Stanton systemย ย โย ย On Hurston

I would just take trade goods to New Babbage to sell.
What's more up to date Uexcorp or SC Trade Tool?
They have joined forces. So either or...
How often terminals refresh? 10 mins?
How do you buy larger quantities of slam? I was trying to buy at private property earlier, but it kept only having 5SCU .. Do I just check out other places?
wAnting to get into hauling but can't find anything with decent return am I looking in wrong places?
Drugs are only meant for low volume, max you get is 20 SCU for Category A and B drugs, 80 SCUs for Category C drugs
Roughly
I see, for the 20SCU do you just check the different places?
I would just check the one place I go to buy, get everything I can and go sell
Yeah just wasn't much when I was there at least
So Uexcorp and SCtrade aint no help about now, anyone know a good place to sell large amounts of meds?
Uexcorp and tradetools are helpful, they do tell you there is not a place that buys meds in large amounts
Don't fill a Hull C with those or wait hours to sell it all
Yeah I made that msitake when it told me to buy a lot.
What's the refresh time on commodity stocks at shops?
Not again
If there is a set one anyways. Feel like every plaec I go is low stock ๐
I've said it so many times over the last few days but not actually in this channel
To me? Or in general?
In general.
Getting tired lol
Trading terminals refresh every 5 minutes.
It takes multiple refresh for a full restock, depending on location and commodities
I see, thanks
there is a search function, but sometimes it's anightmare to look thru
Discord ruined phone a bit
What's the refresh time on commodity stocks at shops?
about 15 mins
I'm sorry man, but I had a laugh at your expense when it was asked again 4 posts after you answered it ๐
I was trolling when I asked. ๐
Lol, ok, fair enough. It was still funny tho
Anyone have this error? Is there a workaround or is it lost cargo?
Dont buy the whole lot
Use the scroll option and go one under
Any other good trade runs other than RNC at Hurston?
nothing with near as much profit per trip. Next best probably Beryl, though it's not sold at Hurston
What's the route?
there's several options to buy and sell, depends how far you want to go. Check here https://sc-trade.tools/commodities/Beryl
I'm seeing two options for Hurston
Ita, not Hurston itself, but yeah fair
I feel like Ita to Lorville is a pretty short route
You make about 25% less than RNC, but the route is way shorter
25% less? How do you figure that math lol
Your only making about 15% margin vs RNC's 20%
I was trying to sell cargo. I tried selling different amounts but no luck. Thanks for the reply
yes, but look at the actual values
~2500/scu for RMC, ~400/scu for Beryl
like, a full hold of RMC in a C2 will get you around 1.8mil in profit. Best per-trip route of Beryl is like 450k if you're lucky
I missed that
yeah
RMC's a lot riskier though, and right now you can't sell it easily as you've found I'm sure
Can you buy cargo with someone on your ship?
Anyone know if the Tali modules already swappable in game?
not that I know of, if you land and cannot buy someone might be aboard...
you can also check comms when in the pilot seat it will tell you if anyone else is aboard
What is the range of a ship scanner to detect cargo onboard a ship?
same range as your ability to detect them
I know refresh times has been asked a couple times in the last 12 hours, but I had a question about how that stock is shared between the server. Is it just a free for all on who can click the stuff fastest out of every planet/purchase point in the entire server?
i had this issue when trying to sell mixed cargo, never found a proper work around cause i ended up getting soft killed by NPC ships and we transfered cargo to another (bigger) ship. I suspect (but cant yet confirm) its because the contents were disorganized and it didnt like selling stuff that was supporting other containers. In your case, the scrap might be under the hephestanite. Are you selling with your ship stored at a station? if not, try that?
feel like cargo is in a weird spot right now, especially with all the glitchyness and duping issues
it's waiting on the refactor is why
I had a feeling it might have been a mixed cargo issue. I've tried selling at different loactions without any luck. I went out into space to off load the cargo and sort it but the cargo is invisible. I guess it's a write off. Thanks for the reply.
Have to agree about the weird spot cargo is in. When I think about it this might be the first time I've had mixed cargo. Seems like an old bug has come back.
expect the cargo profession to be... completely fucked for a while as they iron it all out
This needs to be an automated bot response.
Is duplication glitch fixed? I wanna do cargo trading finally XD
nurp
does anyone know the margin for rmc trading?
nvm found it
So if I understand it now, when I finish bounty I can find cargo in cargo hold in destroyed ships? And I cut entrace by multitool
no, you can't cut with multitool at the moment
soft death ships and you can just press f to open it up normally
in the future there may be hacking or deformation involved
So I can just go inside dead bounties and steal their cargo for few cash bonus?
!fit
Swappable yes, not buyable. If you pledged them, you can do it now
Fr
Please use #๐คโbot_commands for yourself
Okay thx
Your cargo grid is glitched by the dupe going around. To clear the grid claim the ship.
Thanks. I'm about to log in and will give it one last chance before claiming it. I won't be mixing cargo again.
Traders and such mix cargo types all the time it's this bug that is messing things up.
I was getting back into the mixing cargo again after they fixed this bug a patch or two ago. For now though I'll stick to one type of cargo until this bug is fixed.
Where does one swap them? Vehicle loadout screen?
The icing on the cake for my messed up cargo grid saga is when I logged in this morning my ship is listed as destroyed. I guess Orison ship storage doesn't like mixed cargo as much as the TDD.
Is the cargo exploit finally fixed?
how well is the hull c working rn
which master mode turns on the tractor beam turret on my ship?
Guys, I bought 8M RMC cargo and head to Area18, but there's no cargo when I try to sell it D:
Not doing the dupe thing btw
It just disappeared
Anyone knows what happened ?
Did you Store at a terminal? There have been reports of cargo disappearing and not being sellable (not just invisible cargo on retrieve, which can also happen)
I believe ship auto-store in Area18 sincer TDD is too far away from spaceport
So yeah, I believe it stored it
I've personally always let it autostore, and haven't lost cargo that way yet.
Manually Storing at a terminal seems to carry some chance of it, potentially autostore has some chance too
ive only had issues with manual store, ive never had an issue with auto
So my 8M are fucked ?
If it shows in the drop down, you can wait a few minutes at the TDD
i sold 1.5 mil of quant there this morning while my c2 got autostored
If it doesn't ever show up after waiting a few minutes at TDD. The last-ditch effort is to retrieve the ship, store it, go back to TDD.
Does the Ship get autostored at every main city when going to tdd?
Nah, it's only at Area18 since TDD is very far from ships
Area18 because they got 50.000scu of stock every refresh loreville is completely infested because thatโs where people dupe there cargo
mmmm.... the other day the were several C2s dumped around the hangars for A18, ad some assholes shooting at anyone approaching
i think, it would be 'safer' to go sell at Microtec
That has nothing to do with dupers all the people that dumb there ship after selling are legit cargo haulers
Because your ship will be unusable after pulling it out of storage after the sale only reclaiming will fix it
Some people are just stupid C2 is getting a badname rn and us haulers have to be cautious at all times
Yes
Is it an issue with the C2? I have in the past couple of days done a couple of back to back runs in my Cat. The only issue I had was when I mixed cargo and the TDD couldn't/wouldn't retrieve it to sell it.
Anyone got tips for kiosks not working for Overdrive supply?
try the other one on the station
every time I did the mission, 2 would go to one in cargo, then the other to Admin
or vice versa
yeah its not that, the kiosk wont open.
have you tried the other one?
yes. i know theres two
sounds like a bugged server then, gotta try again, after a server hop
yeah, just on 5th server/try now. i think they might all be bugged.
are there even any trade routes besides RMC that are a good time/credit investment ? I checked UEXCROP but i was wondering if there are any that are worthwhile. PM if you are willing to share some insight.
all right folks, i salvaged and mined and earned 4.2 mil. What's hot these days for selling with an M2
Beryl, gold, hephaestanite used to be good last patch
Beryl's still good and relatively safe compared to RMC.
Payout is a lot lower, but so is the investment.
The actual profit margin is not much worse then RMC though.
Say someone was looking to run something less legal. Where would someone potentially obtain that
The sketchy Outposts I assume
Drugs are the only such commoidities I know of like that which you can buy, and they're only available in relatively small quantities. Lore wise, I suspect the RMC sources we have may be a bit sketchy, but not enough to be illegal. ERTs and Risky Salvage missions may be other sources of illegal goods that may sell for a lot.
And by illegal I mean the goods themselves are illegal, not that the cargo is flagged as stolen.
Gotcha, thank you!
if a cop tries to scan you while carriying that, QT the fack out of there!
Not yet commodity trading but once I build some more capital
I don't generally have to worry about that, though there have been occasions I've found some abandoned cargo to sell. But most of that was pre-ERT nerf.
Cops are opportunistic, if you stay for too long on a Nav point over a planet, a cop will spawn and scan you, sometimes they show up after i had landed on station and scan me thru the closed hangars !
Most of the time being scanned is just a minor inconvenience for me. (Slightly more so with the current bugs.)
the inconvenience is when you are afk or not paying attention to notifications, and the darn cop fits a CS 2 up in your ass for not stopping your ship.
Been running the station to station chart as an excuse to take my Cat out and been having a lotta fun. Money's coming in slow and I gotta Refuel a bunch, but it's nice to jump between different places
any other site to check cargo quantity like sc trade tools?
I wouldn't rely on any of them for actual quantities, only the max potential, which sc trade tools is getting more accurate at now in 3.23
does hull E sell out pretty much instantly?
I'm new to cargo hauling, I know about sc trade tools. When I sell cargo, is there a way to know beforehand if it's full and they won't buy my stuff? Am I currently forced to go from station to station to check this or is this available to see somewhere in-game without going to the station physically?
Pretty much it's fine out once you get there. We don't have the tools necessary to do things like the trade log/computations that they do for other games like ED
ive only just started messing around with cargo and im a little confused about one thing, idk if its a bug or what
i bought some RCM and took it to A18, when I went to sell, it said no demand, but I could still sell it.
was it bugging out and is not supposed to sell, or would it sell for more if it was in demand
It might have said no demand but it was likely also in the "in demand" category. It's a weird thing I don't pretend to understand.
ah okay ty
You either gotta be patient or try another place.
It's messed up (almost all trade) because of the duping bug. Cargo grids have an issue and can be exploited. That's why you see so many C2s camped around landing zones
It's funny that people leave their C2's and claim them, while you can just as easily fly there with a snub fighter and continue to use the same C2 over and over and not loiter the airport. Would actually save them more time.
CIG is going to apply a hoxfix as build 3.23.1a to address it
I hope so.
That could be today. They are also trying to get the new build for evocati pushed out by tomorrow
That's the biggie
Where does it say it could be today?
(I was kindo expecting them to do it within a week of launch)
It doesn't, they've been cooking on this hotfix for a week so I think it's close to ready
The Evo build for 3.23.2 has been announced
I think the dup bug fix will be in 3.23.1a which may start testing on EPTU/PTU later today.
NGL, id enjoy it if they WIPE wiped us with it
I'd welcome it
Would likely screw up Overdrive event progress. Phase 6 hasn't started yet.
The main Xenothreat event is, lore wise, part of Overdrive
Got the F7 mkII reward
And is required to get the armor
They could leave mission progress and just wipe auec again.
An aUEC wipe is entirely possible because of the dup bug.
That's why I suggested it. I'm so sick of seeing 40-50 abandoned ships every time I come out of warp at a station, or if I'm hunting the new armor I'm dodging multiple griefers looking for people duping
1500 and probably flies like a cat vs (not sure) in the galaxy.
Also, 95% chance Galaxy comes out first
Gal is 64 cargo, no idea how much fits in it's cargo module or when said module will be available
its for long term
I have a chain to the galaxy that I just need to expand up
cargo module is about 500 SCU
Ok, so 1/3 the cargo. And I'm willing to bet it has more agility, the Drake might be faster in a straight line maybe
the pros of the galaxy are obviously that it has a lower crew requirement and more firepower
but the ironclad is nicer for me as hauler
but needs more crew to be sucessful
is there easier way to enter caterpillar?
3s5 dual turrets for the galaxy
The Ironclad has something like eight-man turrets if I remember correctly?
It needs more crew in case of fighting, but just point A to point b buying and selling it should be just fine with one crew member
4
the base has 1x S5 manned
1x S3 manned
2x S3 remote
I see two size five two remote size 3 to manned size three and two manned size two
the S2 remotes are inside the ship and on the command module
so they are useless
Ahh. Forgot about the one being inside
I wonder if they're not going to worry about any resets, regardless of the exploits, until 4.0 Build release. I would love to see a clean inventory and aUEC reset for 3.23.2 but they may just let everything stay as is until 4.0 is dropped
Its decent but only has 64 scu of cargo so make of that what you will
can it be that the sc trading app is completely off?
it says i need to buy gold at some place but they don't sell gold
what is the fastest scrapper module?
Gold is currently only sold at one outpost on Daymar ...
But the trade apps are sufferring because the information is no longer in the game files
C1 makes a great all-rounder and daily driver
We are currently putting together an all backer 3.23.1a build for release onto PTU later today with updated jumptown testing.
This should purge the duping activity (hopium set to max)
FYI: We are currently putting together an all backer 3.23.1a build for release onto PTU later today with updated jumptown testing.
What do they mean with โall backerโ?
open to anyone who has a game package is my understanding
No
A Backer is anyone who spent at least 0.01$ in the pledge store.
People who were given a game package and never bought anything don't have access to the PTU/EPTU
Thanks for clarifying. Gifted packages didn't cross my mind.
Interesting detail that I wasn't aware of, Thanks!
I'm pretty sure when the hotfix .1a drops to LIVE that it will clear all refinery jobs and all non-persistent items (food, ammo, stuff in ships, etc)
I don't see it before Thursday or Friday, but then again, CIG likes surprises too
I'm really hyped for the physical cargo loading. Less so than the Zeus CL though
I understand that they hope Evo can be testing by Thursday for the 3.23.2 build. The chatter is that this touches every aspect of the game so it could prove to be a rough road to bring to LIVE.
Salty that the other Zeus is getting release before my Clipper
There is a hotfix out, but looks like the same as the live version on the numbers
I'm talking about the .1a that is coming to PTU today. It was originally called a "hotfix" but I think it's evolved into a numbered build status
you're right, technically not a "hotfix" per se, but pretty much a new build
hope that fix the Cargo glitch and exploit
Can the argo raft carry containers smaller than 32scu?
you and me both, actually I'm sure most every player hopes the same. totally messes up the QoL in the game
great question, I'm not really sure. It's grappling system appears to only accommodate 32 SCU boxes. It doesn't seem to have a cargo grid like the Hull A does.
I think lesser SCU is carried in the attached 32?
I would test, but I dont have one and wouldnt want to keep it if its 32 only lol.
At least not until manual loading is required and I could choose to be given 32 scu containers.
96 SCU (holds 3x). But for me, the C1, MAX or Taurus are better options that offer more roles than a one trick pony
Thats what I meant -
But I was mainly wondering because for the past week or so I have been using the MPUV tractor to load larger ships manually, and I am trying to see if eventually the raft would be a better option.
I already have an m2 as a liberator loaner.
that's next level tough, but I plan to avoid manual loading as much as possible. Not part of game play I think I would enjoy. Engineering excites me even less
Likewise
Liberator When!!!
I enjoy the puzzle that is manual loading lol. The MPUV does fine for fitting near/in the M2, it was more for when I upsize to the liberator since it would be 25 full loads (MPUV) vs 5 (RAFT) to fill to 400scu.
Imagine that with an Ironclad setup also
Either way - ironclad has a bigger grid, but Liberator has more space if you occupy the ground pads. Just is how you load it.
come to think of it, it would be cool if the Liberator's pads were also cargo grids, imaging what you could carry on her!
I see what you're saying
Both ways it will be super slow with one tractor vs the raft.
Supposedly the raft will fit on the liberator as well. Will take up most of the exterior pad space, but it will fit.
I think 2500scu
But wont know till I can stuff one
I was planning to use the Liberator as a mini-carrier for my Prospector, Vulture, and a few others items
I picked up the IronClad CCU so I might chain up to that beast when it comes to the game in a few years
but keeping my Liberator for sure
Yeah Im mainly going to use my liberator for solo cargo and then give members of the org im in or strangers long-distance uber rides once pyro goes live.
that's legit also
I still think I'll end up going off grid for a couple of months in the Arrastra when she comes online. The just sell all the cargo of refined ore straight from her stores
the ultimate in cargo and mining all in one
Makes sense lol. Look foward to being more and more off-the-grid
ROC is about the closes I can get to that atm
The Raft only loads up 32SCU crates. If you have 80SCU of cargo then you will see the 3x32 boxes but one will only have 16SCU in it. At least that's how it has worked for me in the past. Who knows about what's planned.
WILL THE MULE FINALLY WORK IN 3.23.2!
Hotfixes and patches are different. Hotfixes don't wipe anything and are usually small updates. I don't know if the hotfix that has been in testing will actually be deployed as a hotfix or be rolled into a patch.
Patches (at least for now) always get rid of refinery jobs, rentals, and consumable items. They also reset your ships to default loadout and gear that you bought for them gets tossed into local inventory at your primary residence, along with everything else you own anywhere. Some people call that a database reset, because that's basically what it is. the database storing the location of every item in Stanton gets cleared out and we get rebuilt from Long Term Persistance data. Also have to go through char gen again, but if you saved your char, then you can just load it.
Thank you, the terms I used to refer to this was how the cig staff referred to the fixes early in the process a couple of weeks ago before the work getting called "3.23.1a"
Wasn't a cut and paste of anything.
Okie dokie, sorry
Thanks for the clarification
Pretty sure when this goes from PTU to Live, it will clear all non - persistent items
Wow, looks like the patch will hit like a hotfix, LOL. I'm shocked
At this time, this update does not contain data that requires a new environment and we are working to keep it that way until it is released to LIVE. Players should not lose items such as medpens, ammo, rentals, and refinery jobs when the build is released to LIVE.
Question: Iโm a bit slow and just realized there is a journal entry for commodity trading. Is this currently the best place to get trading info?
where can i sell an eclipse power plant?
For trading it's usually better to use https://gallog.co/ or !tradetools
Galacitc Logistics - The Premier Logistics and

and make your name in the logistics industry with profits to celebrate your
success, Allow us to give you the tools and connections you need to succeed!

Not always but it's a good start. I stopped using it last year
Yes, you'll get about 10 cents on the dollar though
Dumpers
Or Platinum Bay
I only say that because the trade tools I was told to use seem to be out of date
Yeah, the community is gathering new data after the patch. Maybe also try https://uexcorp.space/ or do some mixture of all of them ๐
so. is traiding and cargo hauling viable for money yet? Im getting back into SC after like 2 years
You need initial money for buying cargo, but then you can very well get 15-20% profit per quite easy and safe run. (And more for a dangerous one)
so this newest update is good for me as a caterpillar owner?
It hasn't changed much, the main change will come in a few weeks with manual cargo loading and economy update in 3.23.2. I'd assume CIG will want to gather data on moving cargo in general, so they'll bump up the profits from that (just as 3.22 was a heaven for salvagers)
fantastic. when is the next wipe
has anyone actually tried to do a retrieval op mission? wondering if it's still offers 10k for 3 boxes or can be higher
Anyone get the ironclad?
A CCU for later consideration
I want it now to do bad ass cargo missions
the Ironclad reminds me of an ocean going barge ... big, square and volumous
Most think it will be a pocket carrier like the Liberator
but what other ship has a size 3 gun mount in the hanger?
BTW- Good news it looks like the Dupe bug has been dealt with
Bad news is the patch is too unstable
I think there are better alternatives
The Liberator comes to mind as a better alternative, LOL
Corsair is an underrated cargo ship
when cargo update happens would cata be better then c2 due to tractor beams or c2 still king
The cat beams suck
I suspect we'll see choices being made - the option for auto-loading might be cheap/fast enough to mean folks still auto-load the C2 over manually loading anything else.
It's also been mentioned that hand-held tractor beams might have a maximum size/weight in the future - which could put more emphasis on ships with tractor beams.
Might want to look at the Corsair, some say itโs underrated
man I sure hope the next hotfix drops quickly cause cargo grids are COMPLETELY broken
the payout though for materials would make it worth it if everything worked
The grid is not broken you have to know how to deal with the dupe glitch.
if i just wait will i be able to sell my cargo thats out of demand
corsair been my main ship since release, but thats not what we talking about
Then you understand
sure
What is the workaround?
are c2's still free to rent?
you can still rent the c2 till invictus ends which is in about 13 hours
whatโs the best trade route for a cutty black
The PTU patch dropped last night that fixes the dupe/cargo grid issue. It wasn't stable enough, so it will remain in PTU for a bit until they get the stability acceptable. After that it could drop to LIVE by this weekend. Fortunately, as of the last notes on the patch, it will not wipe non-persistent items like refinery jobs, ship configurations, food, medpens, etc
ROC mining
Since the SCU is so small with the cutty, it might be best to look at contraband or more limited cargo options (gold, rmc, etc). I would hold off on trade until the new patch 3.23.1a drops (hopefully by weekend)
There are a number of videos that cover things like "starter ship trading" etc that elaborate on the options for small trades
If I just watch a commodity (for example, RMC) on a trade terminal that's out of stock, when the terminal refreshes will the changes to the demand show up immediately or do I have to leave and reuse the terminal?
I have seen it update on me, but I don't trust it so I always just refresh the kiosk. Some just stand there until it times out on them. Mileage varies
RMC is a popular dupe trade, so it will be constipated and selling will be tough
Labeled as "FIXED"...the cargo dupe
is something happening to the game? i just got my 2 first server error today in the span of an hour
as in it's gonna be in the next patch
on the ptu rn I believe
We had a couple of those yesterday but then had a 2 hour trading session ending in a hard lock being stuck in our seats and had to quit at that point. All you can do is go with the flow for now and that the game works in your favor.
ok
Like Wildbill said, something happened about the same time that they pushed the PTU builds. The PTU became very unstable and oddly enough, the LIVE environment began to has some challenges. This is purely coincidental but it was interesting to watch
I wonder if something is still happening in the background that is making things unstable for LIVE. Pretty sure we will never know. Status page is showing all green
How do I use a tractor beam turret? I'm in remote control, I can aim it, but I can't activate it.
Check your flight mode. I think it should be SCM/GUN. Don't use NAV mode in the Reclaimer when you first get ready to use the lasers, etc.
Will I get hit with an afk timeout if I just do fuckall but sit in my pilot's seat during an eighteen minute warp?
That sounds like a Bolton or Kama QT engines in the ship
@vestal ravine SCM mode is gun, shields are up.
Master modes with the sub modes has made things a little interesting
I've never had a session time out during the QT mode but it can get you if you let the game go unattanded for to long there's no pre warning. I use a mouse jiggler and sometimes that doesn't even help you.
Hi, so how does cargo work exactly? there are different types of crates, like minerals, armor, delivery packages, bought cargo boxes. of those, only the cargo boxes can be put in cargo holds properly, right? when I buy cargo (e-g- scrap) in a place, does this generate crates? or is this a different story and it goes to the inventory? Do I need storage at all then? thank you for enlightenment
There are also trading mitigation strategies you can use if the servers are acting up. The easiest one is do use shorter trading routes and logging to new servers and repeating. Or if more paranoid invest less money in a trade. Getting the ship stored with cargo can protect it from a loss also.
even if the cargo is loose and not in the cargo grid?
Hey there is a lot to cover on HOW to trade but you can find routes on a website like Trade Tools and this site: https://uexcorp.space/trade/routes/ You can go to "Looking for a session" channel and ask someone to take you on a trade run. Also CIG has a player Guide system you can ask for help. Don't invest more than 49% of your net worth into a trade.
Like if you salvage crates from a ship in general try to get them on the grid but others can be stacked off-grid when you go to sell the non-grid ones are listed separate from the gridded cargo.
my tractoer beam wont attach it to the cargo grid but i think it will be useless bc i was going to land at orison but the server crashed
i should have guessed when the landing comm wasnt answering
Sorry to hear that. Try to verify where the ship is and what condition it is in on the AESOP terminal. For instance "Claiming" the ship will wipe out any cargo onboard. If it says "Stored" that is great as you can call the ship and check in the ship or just go sell from a stored condition if at Orison.
which bounties give lootable cargo?
thank you, but I was not interested in trade routes but instead in the storage system ๐
Every time the PTU is open the LIVE is less stable.
It does seem to have the ripple effect
There was one time when 4 different instances of SC was running
Yeah spaghetti server code
PTU, Live, EPTU and tech preview
I will try to make my questions easier to answer ๐
- is the cargo space behind the ramp in ships usually their cargo grid?
- which boxes or crates can be stored in cargo space/grid? (e.g. delivery, minerals, armor box, bought cargo boxes)
- when buying comodities, do they go to the ship inventory? if yes, what do I need cargo space (room behind the ramp) for?
honestly I just give my lil dude some time to have a stretch on the ship in the midst of my own during the long jumps
-
Typically yes, but some larger ships will have a specific cargo bay with its own elevator. Ex. Constellation series, hammerhead, 890jump
-
anything of at least 1scu. Small boxes like armor or handheld packages don't snap to the grid
-
commodities will (at present) be in crates that will appear in your cargo, you can only buy as much as the cargo grid allows. This will be changing soon however, with the upcoming cargo update, you will have to load stuff yourself
thank you!
Glad you got some answers. We can talk in DM mode if you want.
thank you for the offer! I might come back to it once I am trying cargo runs
So with duping being a thing - I really donโt want to get shot down trying to move legit cargo. Are there any areas to stay the eff away from cause people are shooting down assumed dupers? I hope to use main city / station terminals so less sketch than moon outposts
Yea stay away from buying RMC and selling at Arc Corp. There are trade sites for Beryl on MT and you can sell at NB.
Thank you!
I have a bunch of ship components stripped from a ship is there a way to move those into a local inventory? As I want to sell em
also it's not letting me drag them like you'd normally do with body equipment
CIG do not want us to move weapons nor any big ship components, after 3.23 patch
selling salvaged equip its not worth anyways, you may get 1-2k per weapon.
alr I wanted to try so I stripped an odyssey and a bunch of other things
won't do that again
the Odyssey is a concept ship that is not yet in game...
it's a QD
I think
I stripped that off a prospector
Someone told me they managed to sell parts from their cargo bay this patch, they had to sell at a shop that sold the same parts, but I've not verified this information myself. Generally don't bother with parts as they're not worth the effort
A bad QD
Always worked that way yea, but never been a good thing to do.
Sometimes it won't detect what's in your ship, so storing or retrieving it, or both, can help
Also it doesn't have to be in a shop that sells that exact same component, just the same type of component.
Afaik, any dumper's depot is a reliable place to sell
is the star runner a good ship?
depends, what kind of 'good' are you intending to use the MSR?
the MSR having 114 scu of cargo is ok for trading
its a good daily ship
not so much for combat
Good drug trader, not really for anything else
MSR is one of my favorites. You can haul many different sized vehicles like the ROC, Nursa, etc. It's a great cargo runner. Downside is as Blue-Mystic mentioned, not great for combat. But, it's not meant for that. It's purpose is to run away.
MSR would actually be the king drug hauler if it had a S3 shield
what can i do if i'm stuck on a ladder?
try jumping out, sometimes that works, otherwise, log out to the menus
alr
Canโt โFโ to anything? Like a door or one of the switches?
its often due a very bad server, log out and try a different server
CIG reports they found the blocking issue ot the PTU, so a new build coming this evening. This fixes the dupe exploit and a few other fixes. Hopefully it'll be able to go live by Friday. Xeno threat game play at Pyro Jump point for those interested.
xeno on?
Thanks for info Dan! I am interested in Xeno also.
In the PTU.
ah dang
CIG has mentioned both Jump town and also Xeno threat in the .1a build, so we might see these pop up when it goes live (if build is good, could be by Friday)
timeframe is purely my own speculation
Mrw you ask a question and get an answer from a specialist and then nerd react them.

anybody know a cargo route that actually can make money faster than just bounties
if such a thing exists
a full C2 of RMC is (roughly) 2 million profit, risking 8 million to buy. It's definitely the fastest route maximizing profit, since Gold is hard to purchase in large quantities. Pirates/griefers are pretty common on RMC routes though
Legal ERT/VHRT bounties have recently netted 500k and 2.5 mil (for my last 2 sessions). More variable, slightly less risk than RMC since I haven't seen many campers at salvage yards.
Illegal high-level bounties have better cargo, but require getting a crime stat or some work upfront to avoid CS
My go to trade item is Beryl. 8 or 9 sites to buy at in armistice zones, unlimited stock, reasonable profit. Try it!!
Yesssss buy up RMC. Brios Breaker Yard beckons for more boxes.
Hey guys I canโt decide if I should get a Taurus or a Caterpillar
I plan to do more cargo running/box and maybe bunker mission than anything
I currently have a C1 a SRV and a Firebird
Taurus is more versatile, Cat is a more dedicated hauler.
At the end of the day, pick what's more fun for you
Until the Caterpillar is more functional, I'd say Taurus. Caterpillar has more trading capacity, but it's big and weird to fly. And I don't think the cargo elevators work on it
The cat is sooooo satisfying when it's packed to the gills
If you're talking pledge, Taurus is the best available all arounder atm, and you can always upgrade later to a Caterpillar
Ye for real money, 100% get a Taurus. Can haul, can bounty hunt, s2 drives are fast
Cat is definitely the cooler hauler. but imo C2 is easier for trading.
If in game, again, get what seems fun. Don't calculate the fun and aesthetic out of hauling. Gotta enjoy what you're flying.
I mean ok the cat is weird to fly but the cockpit and tractor beam room are amazing
But yeah Iโm talking about pledge and since RSI is currently the main focus maybe Taurus should be better
I find it easier to land the cat on planets, C2 is so unstable with its weird landing gear.
For sure a Taurus if pledging
Thatโs why I donโt fly with the c2 sure itโs more profitable and all but itโs kinda soulless
Hopefully someday the cat gets an interior pass. The corsair is a landmark drake ship, and the cat should get that same love
Drake ships make me feel like I'm in firefly
Flying the cat into cities just feels a lot cooler
C2 is fickle, especially around small rocks. Very teetering, eventually you (mostly) counteract it
If the elevator works
I love the Corsair in every aspect except for itโs handling I somehow find it worse than the cat
Shoot back door. Who takes the elevator when pirating a herc?
I was talking about if it was your own ship lol
Gotta use your boost to roll/pitch, and let go of the input a little early and it'll nudge into place
Corsair boost is about bringing guns to bear, less than about getting space
Ye, I mean that it's much harder to have someone steal a cat than a herc
Thatโs interesting Iโll definitely try that
I don't wanna say how I know though.
It definitely is better than the Cat, but exact same handling as the Taurus. Tho Taurus is still a better option atm, and cheaper.
Connies are cool af for sure
Corsair hase more pew pew
Not that much more
Corsair is only better for people who care about fitting vehicles in their ship.
For that, it is a lot better than the Connies
I feel really cute in my corsair
Corsair is so ugly though
That's personal taste ๐คท
I donโt do that much bounty hunting Iโmย more on the industrial side
it's a pug
You take that back
Say sike rn
Let your Taurus buy the cat in game
And like zorgh said, if you like it then, look at upgrading.
For a pledge, at its price point, the Taurus is really, really solid
Like why does it have this tumor on its right side, lets not even talk about those decorational side turrets
That tumor is a docking collar/airlock
Thatโs smart actually
for aggressively boarding another ship
And a very neat armory
And those side turrets are very nice when you have players that don't like to fly or are very new ๐ฆ
My newbies shot a lot of missiles in those
It doesnt need to be like that though, also it wastes like half its space on crew quarters, why do they need individual rooms? Much bigger and fancier ships have bunks all in the same room.
And copilot on the corsair can fire off my missiles from 360 degrees
Don't hate on my baby
Oh wow thatโs very neat I didnโt know that
If you want to compare turrets too, connie turrets are a lot better placed and more enjoyable to use
Everyone having their own room and storage is nice when you're dragging players around doing stuff
the only reason I know is that it's an "expedition" ship, meant for long voyages/living aboard. in my head canon, for pirates living off-grid
Lets my group squirrel away their loot without mixing stuff up
And Copilot on the Corsair eats the pilot capacitor, so you have less shots and it feels terrible
I had a copilot in last night, and did not have less shots than before
So idk
I think erkul is wrong on that one
If there are a million corsair haters (there probably more) I am one of them
If there is one corsair hater it is me
๐ฆ
If there are no corsair haters I am dead (or they removed that ugly ass tumour)
It's ok. That's why there's so many ships
Yeah I prefer the much prettier ships like the hercules and the egg
Give the MSR s4's and maybe I'll change my tune
Just give the MSR a S3 shield
And make the hallway to the cockpit an elevator
All it needs, it's not a fighter
Yeah, that'd be a cool compromise
When engineering comes and you have to crawl through your MSRs definitely not drug tunnels for 20 minutes to repair a part
I am not alone in the corsair hate
whats the cheapest cargo ship thats actually profitable? zeus cl?
EVAing a box of RMC through space is profitable, just takes a while. Zeus CL is actually worse as it does not exist yet. Anything under 128sc and you are kinda wasting your time. So a freelancer max is a good start. Could get away with 64 scu but you wont make a lot of money.
I wanna get started into cargo hauling any tips ?
Pledge then ?
That'd be Zeus CL and Freelancer MAX yeah. Both 120 SCU and both 1250$.
But Zeus CL has 120 SCUs at the cost of not being able to access any component and do any engineering.

when the zeus cl drops i can ccu to it for like $10 ($5?) on sale so imma js do that
wait $125 or $150
Zeus CL is supposed to be released with 4.0, with is coming Q3, that is, before the IAE, so its price will increase before you can buy it
It'll likely have a Warbond offer on release tho.
Can assume 160 or 170$ release price, and 145 or 155 WB offer
Can i start doing any serious trading with 160k auec?
Yesn't. You won't do much, but anything is enough to start making money
any good recommendations for trade routes and commodities?
Just don't invest what you can't afford to lose, so try not to invest more than 30% of your capital
With low capital, I'd trade drugs, but it does require a little experience with trading already.
Use !tradetools to plan your routes

I thought it was only the ES for 4.0? Although I guess it might have changed since I last checked?
I've been doing some small scale drug running in my Hull A, which has been a blast
Nice since it's hard to match demand
No, both ES and CL on the roadmap for 4.0
Eh, nvm, been told lies by an other helper
I only see the ES on the roapmap
But I can imagine the CL coming very soon after
Yeah thats what I thought. Although in ISC didnt they say they would be updating the roadmap soon? I guess it cant be ruled out for 4.0 yet.
MFD?
I know as much as you
Can I make a good profit with 500k? Or around that
Same advice as here #industrial-professions message
Be aware the glitch is still active... the pirates are on the RMC sales sites also.
Which glitch?
So will this be a good run ? Or no ?
Some game abuse. It's getting fixed soon
Well, uh, I take it as "I didn't read your advice" but yeah, if you're gonna risk all your money, it's a decent run.
yesterday me and some people pirated alot of dupers
For Beryl tho, I wouldn't do such long trips if you don't have a TS-2 or XL-1 QD
Hero.
we do what we can
I got 2 mil im just using 500k to kinda just get started and see how this works
Nice then
theres alot of asian servers thats low pop where they are duping sooo much
Go for it
I do have a TS-2
stay out of those servers. we tried to hunt them but they have like 5 firebirds coving them
Hopefully CGI have a script ready to reset all of them to zero or ban
niceeee
That's okay then. But this game will crush you as fast as anything. Relog after your sale is done.
at some point im just thinking about infiltrating a dupe clan and just grief them all hahahahahah
Well CGI need to enforce it otherwise their very own TOS is meaningless drivel.
most people have been taking matter in their own hands
In the past 18 months 4 cheats no widespread bans. It's an Alpha.
yes but a ban or complete wipe is needed for offenders.
yea, i hope it happens soon. economy is kinda f'd rn
i would not mind a full wipe, starting from scratch is fun
star citizen: Tarkov EOD edition?
Then if everyone is to get wipe, dupers should get a ban.
i agree, but dont think that CIG even knows about the dupers problem, they just dont play their own game
unless someone had reported it at the issue council...
One way or another CGI need to enforce their TOS - especially as they are getting closer to moving out of Alpha
they dont play their own game?
They definitely do know about it
had they said anything about it?
That it'll be fixed with 3.23.1a, yes
๐ค
this is what you mean? LOL
Yeah ? What's so funny about it ?
idk yet, last nite the PTU gave a login error, i'll try it tonite when i get home
idk what they mean with 'Coverup Rewards'
but im sure 'reduce' means NERF
Same here never heard of coverup rewards...
Coverup missions are the cleanup missions
This has nothing to do with the glitch lol
Yeah, its a bug
where can it be called in?
Any station, including lagrange points and orison. However there is a decent chance it will spawn not connected to the docking port. What you can do is spawn a small ship and fly it to a pad, go back inside and spawn your hull c. Then go back to your small ship and fly it out to your hull C. Or you can go to somewhere like seraphim where the pads are right next to the docking ports and just eva over to your hull c.
At cru l5, it won't call in
I idk about that. Cru L5 is always kinda broken
CRU L5 in particular? This is what I'm getting
Perhaps it doesnt have a docking port? I thought all lagrange points with stations had them, but maybe not. Seraphim, baijini, port tressler and everus definitely have them though
It doesn't, I just happened to go to one of the only lagrange stations without one I guess :(
just great! we pray for a fix and they deliver a NERF and an stupid discord pic
? This server is not managed by CIG lmao
know, just wanted to say how stupid that pic is
Well I tested the duping bug in the PTU and they fixed it.
They already nerfed the payout for those missions, how much worse are they now?
10k LOL
thats for the harder missions, the easy ones a vulture can fracture are 6
How do you get cargo into a hull c?
O Starfarer now? Is it the only one now or?
no, they change, not sure about the other choices yet
Ah ight
Starfarer is much easier to salvage I feel so this is a good change for me lmao
Is there salvage rep? If so, can they got up with rep increase?
yes there is rep, however nowhere shows it, well the 'legal' missions increase with rep
Not worth it at all at that point
Is there a workaround for the hull c spawning inside the station?
Keep calling it, eventually it shouldโข๏ธ spawn normally
Anyone else get thrown into space while the Hull C is in quantum ?
Thats less of a Hull C specific problem and more of a general SC problem
Anyone know if we will need to rent persistent hangers on stations?
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/50259/thread/persistent-hangers-and-spaceport-hangers is where I have asked the question in Spectrum
I don't think we know yet. Although P.Hangers are cool, you have to land on the planet to use them. So there's definitely a downside there and they're only at Home LZ. I think what we are looking at is two separate things: Home LZ Persistent Hangers and Other LZ Instanced Hangers. You can tool away in the Instanced hanger at another location but nothing will persist. If you leave anything behind, it'll be lost when you leave those Other LZ hangers. So what's going to happen is Home LZ will become way more important, we'll be visiting Home LZ way more often.
Eventually yes, you will be able to increase the size of your persistant hanger, and you will be able to rent ones at other locations, but initial release will just have them at your home station
Whats the best route for a C1 spirit ?
Take it to new deal and get a freelancer max
Is cargo trading bugged rn ? I sold my cargo and when I went to buy some other cargo it said my storage was full
Yes it is
Selling when the ship is stored causes it to not clear the grid completely, but it looks empty. Either sell while not stored or claim the ship to reset the grid
Oh ok thanks
a patch that is supposed to fix that is already on the PTU
the workaround is to not store your ship using the hangars consoles, simply run to the TDD and do the sell
yeah but at least when you store your ship, the next day you will have to claim it first..
if not the ship will have the cargo grid bug
yeah but its not a big deal for a Vulture, claiming time and Expedite is not much
indeed
hope they fix that soon, too many entities on the server makes it unstable.
what i do is to claim an Origin 85x, which its claim time is instant paying only 300 creds, use it to get to the station where i spawn the Vulture
sadly the PTU server is also a mess, constant Server Errors and glitches way worse than the Live, but at least, this cargo glitch, and the exploit is fixed
or at least i did not saw it happening
hehe good to know
Would have been nice if that work around had been published somewhere, I've been reclaiming the ship at space stations to clear it.
But all of that takes time
what does argo raft do
dont waste your credits on it
its pretty but useless
It helps the Argo mole with its sacks
for around 700k extra you can get the Freelancer MAX, who has more Cargo, Speed, agility.... everything!
still i believe all Argo ships are gorgeous, i was the proud owner of an Argo SRV, til this patch arrived and fucked the one and only mission i could run on it
melted it and bought a Zeus Mk II instead ^_^
I went to the wrong hanger in Area18 and found this but I cant grab any boxes
thats someone's else ship and cargo xD
where is a cop when one needs it?
Yes, i get ya, but if u would like to do some RPG gaming then why not use the branding
hehe, tried to get the ship out?
If you can get in pilot seat and hit Right Alt + K you'll be able to tractor the cargo
indeed, the Argo is a beautiful ship, go for it ๐
But take it out somewhere the owner won't find it
he stored the ship. I guess that's why he wasn't concerned when I walked out of the elevator and we passed each other
Eh
even if I made it to the pilot seat I wouldn't be able to take the ship right? cause the hanger door request wouldn't respond to me?
also I figured out how to consistently use the ladder from the top floor of the c2 to drop straight outside on the ground. is this already a known bug?
They would
You would've totally been able to take off
Hmm yeah mostly I guess. Works with any ladder you can go on them sideways/reverse so hatch opens but you don't grab it
More a feature than a bug IMO
I've tried before on a carrack at grim hex. My carrack was hijacked, I tracked the hijackers location by bounty and went to grim hex to the hanger, he gave me my ship back but I couldn't open the hanger
as in. I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just new enough where I don't know what should work or not work
I'm stuck with a full cargo hold and empty quantum tank in Pyro gateway, services don't show able to fill. How effed am I?
I was still able in 3.22 to request landings and take off with a ship I stole. Don't think that has been a focus for devs, so doubt it has changed
Fully. It's a known issue that Pyro doesn't repair/refuel.
Two options, call an other ship and transfer the cargo from the stranded one to the other.
Or ask someone with a Starfarer to come refuel you
With how rare the Starfarer is, and how hard it can sometimes be to get it to work, transferring cargo is probably the best option, even if your ship is a Hull C
Starfarer refueling is more bugged than Pyro ๐
Got any tips if the cargo is not visible any more due to storing caterpillar?
Shiiiiiit thanks
NEVER abandon cargo. I wonder if I can refuel my own ship with a starfarer
refueling with your own ship to your own ship is buggy, as you really do need a pilot in the recieving end for it to not really bug.
when its someone else refueling you or vice versa, its generally been fine
Dumb question, whatโs the difference in cargo and freight ships? (I.e the C1 Spirit and the Mercury)
Nothing really
Most of that terminology is meaningless
Freight usually has a more industrial connotation though
Like the raft is freight because it looks industrial
Gotcha gotcha
Does the time in sc trade tools assume an upgraded drive?
Where is the most profitable area to sell rmc currently?
if you're looking for real time your best bet is to just fly to the cities or if you dont mind immediate up to date there uex/sc-trade tools https://uexcorp.space/commodities/info/name/recycled-material-composite/
Thanks
RMC market may be flooded though, so regardless where you go to sell, you might have to wait a bit in order to be able to sell.
sadly, hopefully once the dupe issue is fixed that won't be as common
Tested it myself and yeah it's pretty damn broken, sold cargo in hangar after storing shop, called ship and took it just out of the way of any hangars but still close enough to register and sold the duped cargo for 9 mil
With that being said don't exactly feel great about exploiting a bug but I was curious so I'll just siphon off the extra funds to randoms
I've done my best to try and avoid the dupe bug. Which may be fixed in 3.23.1a, however the bug with buyable SCU boxes inventory becoming "infinite" and preventing you from putting items into them/taking items out is not fixed in .1a.
I've been avoiding it as well also wasn't aware of how to do it until hours ago since I'd rather feel my efforts paying out than some loophole or exploit,
single player games yeah I'll cheat the hell out of but anything entirely online like SC I tend to avoid exploiting any bugs unless absolutely necessary to make core gameplay to work
Also think I had my first piracy attempt experience today, landed at pickers loaded up and went back to my ship and two ships came screeching across the sky just high enough to not smack into the hills around pickers and trailed me shooting until I jumped to a om marker
I lost entire weeks worth of trading earlier, server froze up. Being honest trader not using Dupe isn't worth the time and effort. Meanwhile others just make a mockery racking up millions in a hour.
If you are talking about seeing "Server error please wait" then if you just be patient and wait then you shouldn't lose anything in your ship, but would lose missions. That's the server recovery system that's intended to get rid of server caused 30ks.
FYI, not sure about Pickers Field, but NPC ships sometimes show up around outposts in 3.23. Been attacked multiple times, while inside armistice, when I was doing Beryl trade runs. (Think the ship, a cutty black, only fires when it goes out of armistice but ends up going back into it, and of course despite being hostile it gets Armistice protection, making it hard to damage it much less shoot it down unless you can get it to follow you away from armistice.)
Two ships had cargo and were sent to Storage, then there was a server error, yes I waited but the cargo was never restored.
Possible that after server recovery you would have to retrieve and re-store the ships for cargo to be able to be sold. (Worked that way with 30k recovery.) However there's also the cargo grid bug currently that may be messing stuff up too. The cargo grid bug should be fixed with the .1a patch.
I generally try to sell cargo without storing the ship in 3.23.1, though some things could cause issues. I found out that if you are landing in a hangar during server recovery, the game may not assign the hangar to you properly after recovery and your ship may get impounded. Wasn't a big issue to me though as I was planning on leaving that ship there, and it's a temporary ship at best. (Avenger Titan ILW loaner.)
Yeah I've tried best I can to work around the bugs but it's near unplayable.
dunbro wont give me a egister of my ship ...
Dunboro is bugged, known issue
merci
is trading using a ship with a small cargo hold (Taurus) still worth the effort and time?
Taurus not small
wait i can buy drugs?
Yes
why don't i do it with large ships?
Because drugs are in very limited quantities, they're meant for low volume hauls
You'll find at most 40 SCUs of valuable drug in buy points, and the rest are only fillers
40 SCU....
cutty black has 46 SCU cargo space...

drake "we are only making pirate ships" interplanetary
MSR is my favorite drug runner.
Just wish it had a S3 shield like the 400i, that is an other good drug runner
Or was. It doesn't fly as great as it did before.
aren't the I-series ships basically just luxury ships for showing off?
Who said that
You do what you want with your ships
890J has 388 SCUs you can use for trading if you want, just fancy trading, but you can be certain no one is gonna pass through your shield
600i is an excellent ship for bounties with its 3x S5 weapons
...well yeah, but so far i can just pick a ship that is better suited for the job than the I-series
my Taurus has 4 S5 guns
C2 almost got double the cargo hold
Because there are better options doesn't mean it's bad or can't do it
so it can get the job done, but you are just intentionally handicapping yourself to fly a cooler ship
No ?
Does your C2 have 1.5m shields HP ?
It's just an example, but if you want to be super safe, that's an option
It doesn't have to be this negative, you're too much into "meta best ftw" stuff
There are just other options, with maybe less profit or efficiency but that offers other stuff with it
everyone have taste and preferences for some ships and brands, for example i loooove the Terrapin, and use it as much as i can, know its completely useless, but i still love it ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
well yeah
im using a Taurus for everything except mining
even tho there are definitely better options
if only that tracktor beam could be exchanged for a mining laser...
i would invest
i'd be happy with a size 1 mining laser
hell, even just using 1 ROC laser is enough
just give me a small medical area in the very very back and i will never have to leave my Taurus ever again
Anyway, a 400i is totally capable of drug trading, and was actually a dope ship for it, with it's S3 shield and great maneuverability and speed.
Ships don't have to be categorized, you can use them for whatever you want.
Yeah true the back from the taurus is pretty useless.
i mean it's like what
4SCU cargo space? lol
you can definitely put a small med bed in there
Yes 4 scu grid
No wait more 6
Normaly there is place for 8 never succeed to put 4 box inside
a lot of the ships have minor design flaws that could 100% increase the ship's effectiveness
Most of the ships are old
i can tell
"lets put 2 very vision-obstructing metal beams right where the pilot's face it lol"
That's not old, that's design
yeah well that design sucks ass lmao
Aquila ftw
it's literally the only problem i have with the connie series
that god damn metal beam
without it, it would have been a perfect S-tier design
but because of those metal beams it's an A+ for me
i know they are there to decrease the weird glass costs of the cockpit because that glass is very expensive, but give me a version that costs 1mil more without any beams
Hey, very sorry for this quick question - how do you load purchased boxes to ships again? They won't leave my inventory.
... it just showed up on the ground after like, five minutes.
but the regular multi-tool can't move them can they?
Not letting me move it ..
I used to spawn the box directly in the ship. Then you can move it to the grid. Normaly inside the ship you can use the tractor beam.
I'm utilizing a Hull A, so I would have to spawn it outside of the ship first.
Oh .. I put down another box, it spawned in the floor and flew off to hell ..
Put down another - and it disappeared. Strange?
Ok i observed on some stations you can use the tractor beam in the hangar and others notโฆ. Probably half buggy
Arrrghhh Everus Harbor won't let you??? This IS INSANE
I JUST WANT TO MOVE THINGS AAAAAAAAAAA
You're supposed to be able to use tractor beam in hangars yeah
just to make sure im not crazy
This is how I put them on the ground so I can tractor them, right?
yes
And they shouldn't be clipping through the ground and flying into space?
do it on ur ship grid
im using a hull a
ah maybe thats hull issue
anyway if you snap it to grid it will bug out into nothingness after store
How would I transfer all my stuff from one place to another then?
rent a cutlass
Internal storages are small now though.
Ah .. maybe I'll just try this damn cargo box in a different ship and see how it goes.
Unfortunate. Really thought I had a use for my Hull!
Definitely a bit!
i'll advice you not to, those boxes are quite propense to glitch and either not let you store anything or to simply vanish everything inside
Oh gosh I realize how small the 8 SCU boxes really are ..
How do I transfer all the stuff from my home planet to a station then? No ship has any reasonable amount of capacity.
the cutlass Black is one of the cheapest ships with big inventory, do several trips
That really is a shame.
Welcome to the Verse ! ๐

It is what it is lol I'm just saying you might want to not make the same mistake as me ๐
I've usually just thrown everything in the M2 or something and take it to a station on patch day. That didn't work this time ๐
you are not alone, it also happened to me
That's a terrible shame
just another day in the verse
it's when SC doesn't kick me in the balls when I get concerned
that's a sign something else is about to go horribly wrong
hahaha
PLEASE OPEN
I BEG YOU
LET ME INNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
told you so ๐
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Huh!
Eventually opened, and I tested the cargo box with stuff from planet - that was not a big deal if I lost it - and it was all still there.
A great day for me, and thus for society!
Welcome to cargo gameplay
My computer turned off for some odd reason but I was able to get back in the game lol
I was doing a delivery from the refinery, landed then the server went into recovery mode. Lost everything. This build seems to be running worse than it was during ILW
I'm done with 3.23.1, I'll be back in live when .2 drops
Uhm help?
when does it restock?
the normal stock refresh is every 15 mins, starting from the last re-stock event not from the time you interacted with the console
a 30k "Server Error" may re-start everything, including this
Alright ty
there is a known glitch, if you get to sell and it says "No demand", simply store your ship and relog from the menu, it may still say no demand but this time it will let you do the sell
Yeah we stole cargo from a duper so RMC was already full
Think they will ever make the mule useful for loading cargo?
Any upgrades to put on a c2?
all Military grade A, even the QT drive
and what is that?
im so poor haha, could barely afford the ROC that is going in it.
I think itโs for engineering
ahhh but you could afford the C2 tho...
Which isnโt in live yet
I could before they money wiped and that I was able to actually pull my reclaimer lol
did they patch duping yet?
no
It's a fuse. It'll be used in engineering in 4.0 and in an AC test mode.
on PTU yes, live no
It's on PTU
So right now I cant do anything
oh okay so it will soon
You know changing shields, coolers and power plant does nothing, why advice so many useless and pricy changes ?
Possible that pulling the fuse out might disable the ship, but I'm not sure.
Just change the QD to a TS-2, only thing to do
ok thanks! no better gun?
Ah okay, and what about potential pvp?
because im more scared of pirates.
im using the c2 to carry the roc for mining
C2 does have one minor glitch about weapons: They clip through the hull when retracted. (aka weapon power off)
The new guns are bigger then the openings in the hull. :b
damn haha
Your only chance is to run away taking advantage of your big shields and health.
The second you switch to NAV you weapons and shields go off, so really there's not PvP perspective with a C2
Is the Aves helmet rare? is it something that someone would want to buy from me?
Pirates are not that common, unless you're going to the RMC sites or hanging around Yela belt.
PC pirates that is
I guess. See in #market-street , that's not the kind of "trading" this channel does
Id buy it. if you got a full armor set id actually freak out lmao
Yeah just the helmet @winged musk
BTW, the PTU build (aka 3.23.1a) does not fix the bug with buyable SCU containers where you can't put stuff into them or take items out of them, but apparently you can still use them via the looting interface. However that's not very convenient.
why fix anything when you can just let the game be a bugged mess
why fix anything when you can just keep telling people some future jesus tech will fix it
They are fixing stuff. That particular bug just hasn't been fixed in that patch, a .2 patch is coming as well.
how good is rmc trading?
so good that nothing else matters
cuz i just did a little bit of it and after 3 times coming back someone was campiong rappel and killed me, does that happen a lot?
people are upset about dupers
but does it happen a lot?
i've seen yeah
That's why I don't usually do RMC. If you're going to encounter PC pirates/griefers while commodity trading, it's on RMC routes right now.
ohh
Beryl is a bit safer, though where to buy depends on how much you can carry.
i can only carry 24scu
in general if you go after the hottest commodity, you'll find pirates/murderhobos/whatever looking to make sure you're not bored
what would be something i can make a lot of profit from with the nomad? only 24scu
fiddle around with this https://uexcorp.space/commodities
at 24 SCU your best possible money would be vice
but something chill like iron, titanium, etc is perfectly viable
what about WiDoW
that'd fall under "vice"
ohhhh
vice = drugs
as long as you know what's involved in drug smuggling, it's good money
and according to sc trade tools widow would be at raven's roost is that still correct?
might be
we can no longer extract that information from the game files and the sites rely on people updating that information
so trust but verify
alr

What I do with my nomad is back a ROC up into the bed and go mining on Cellin! Go after the Hadonite, now I know that isn't trading or cargo but it's good money. As far as Trading and Cargo I would make a few runs of beryl - or at the very least med supplies - just watch yourself when buying and leaving with your stuff - although generally much less of a target for pirates due to the small cargo size, you can still get griefed. I would avoid RMC, although you may get "let go" there as your clearly not a duper with a Nomad IMO - so those folks out there are looking out "mostly" for the big C2s coming in with approx 8mil to pirate!
Once you've mined the gems, they do become cargo. ๐
I have joined the C1 gang ๐ซก
Is the cargo bug fixed?
ROC is fixed?
I remember it being absolutely broken
the only current issue I have had is not being able to sell directly from the ROC storage - I transfer it to local then can sell...
Congrats its a beauty! Got me one too - thinking about upgrading it in the future, considering a connie
Canโt buy rmc because terminal says my grid is full.
Is this something to do with the bug???
yes
new patch came out did they finally get rid of duping or nah
