its a weird catch 20/20 where we dont know a lot of the outliers
is it intentional? Is it bugged? Is it an oversight? hope they will at least comment on it tomorrow, and not just ghost fix/patch it
honestly I think that when you blow a ship up, the cargo inside gets damaged or destroyed
I mean, if you put a bomb on a truck and blow it up, most of the cargo is gone
it is what happens now
and with the explosions these ships make, nothing should be there lol
I haven't see 20 million lately. I think CIG was maybe turning it down a little at a time.
or make it so that its person based
you can soft death the ship having a lot of it intact, which is quite hard to do, or blow it up and only have a few boxes
so lets say @ruby dirge sells 50 boxes, he is on cool down
but I can still sell my 50 boxes.
?
read above @delicate girder
still at the end of the day, the main takeaway in my opinion is this is all still testing phase, and we will rock back and forth a lot before economy and gameloops are balanced
You have to measure your shots. One or two extra shots will blow the ship.
or keep it how it is, but make it so that once you steal those boxes, you get a CS3. makes you a target to a lot of people, and the potential of having people on you
i know the big plus is that when testing looting the ships on the ground is massively bugged with glitching out trough the ship, dying cause falling and majorly inconvenient to move around shows there is work to be done to the soft-death ships
yup which is why it is fine imo that you have all the cargo if you manage to soft death the ship, since its a "skill" of sorts
LOL!
plus dont forget the hassle of getting the shit out of some ships haha, it been a helluva job sometimes. Spend hours managing to either enter, tractor beam or rotate the shit out of the ship, which was VERY buggy
make it so that they are marked maybe?
so that other players can come and try and find them
or have it be broadcasted across
there is heaps of balancing to be had, and i think CIG is on top of that. The current situation seems more bug than intention but we'll only know for sure once they adress it
plus a lot of data gathered from all the scumbags (myself included) having fun grinding bounty
CIG balances with a sledge hammer so it will no doubt sling wildly back and forth.
hahaha ain't that the truth
Time to play on the EPTU for a day ot two.
I don't think they're really trying to balance for game health or economy currently as discussed by some of you.
In my opinion:
Having people try and extract cargo out of a carrack bounty is lots of great testing for them.
Having more people with illicit goods on ships dealing with security is good testing.
Having players funneled towards PvP hot beds of scrap yards with cargo to fight for is good testing data as well.
fully agree on that
the sell bug right now I think is indeed a bug. But, I left my tinfoil hat in my other hab
only 2 points i have with this whole debacle is 1. they have to at least balance it a bit so people dont reach millionaire too quick and they dip out cause no more motivation for them and 2. the sledgehammer method where they axe something cause they let it rampant too much, which ruin nice little gems of excitement when you hit it big.
But fully agree that actual balance is not needed nor looked at, plus a weekend without selling is also a sort of a mini event to see how people react to it
all responses are data at the end, be it positive or negative 😛
Yeah, I do agree it's not good gameplay to let people get so rich without really anything truly to spend it on but here we are
Money just means ships mostly right now. Cargo, mining, and salvage just means money.
Until you can use those resources for other things (crafting, base building and what not), it's not going to be a very fulfilling economy anyways imho
Economy in alpha is hardly indicative of economy long term. Kind of weird to be overly worried about it. It's obviously unbalanced, but it's also an incredible tool for pushing players through gameplay loops for test data.
Ignoring that, this particular game play loop can be pretty high risk and warrants a high reward. Can easily put in significant time looking for the cargo to lose it to a couple of players camping a scrap yard.
i mean your missing the whole point of a lot of players even with those risks being able to get millions of profit within a very short timespan, burning them out on other modes cause they dont make as much money, eventually losing interest
still, fully agree on the pushing players toward a certain gameloop part, that is fully spot on.
but if that leads to people now having all they want to ever buy, what motivates them to play other game loops? Go mine for 200k an hour? Go scrap for 500k an hour?
Again.. alpha.
yup agree on that as well. Perfect balance is not what the most people here are promoting. Tis more the other side of the scale, the size of the unbalance that worries me (and others as well from what i seen) that it 1. pushes players away from other loops once they have everything they want, diminishing the player base who normally test out other ventures to make money and 2. CIG responding in a knee jerk reaction with a sledgehammer to the whole fun part of the bounty hunting, cause it is very fun, risky and rewarding getting a ship to soft death and finding it filled with goodies!
Whole game is unbalanced, i can tow 20 hammer heads for 5 mil with minimal risk and effort. If I really wanted cash.
thing with that is you can only do that with an SRV right?
don't know too much about that whole loop tbh so not sure what you need for it. what comes to mind with it is if it was that easy for all players to do that, they would.
instead, they are doing bounty missions haha
It's easy for anyone with a wallet full of cash and nothing better to spend it on except for a one role vehicle with no other game play.
It's mind numbingly boring todo but you can earn $250k within 6 minutes.
yeah i get ya haha! Thing is gotta look at the big picture for that, most players try to go with their starter ships and find a gameloop to make money that suits them. They find out bounty gets insane amount of money, they do this and this alone cause big bucks, and then have all the money untill the next time CIG wipes, with no reason to try out other ventures, and even be demotivated or dissapointed by other ventures like mining since it makes less, leading to the majority of players not spreading out doing different shit what you want from an alpha.
Still your point holds true of a true economy not having a place in a alpha. Its just this massive imbalance brings other complications with it imo and i hope they don't knee jerk about it. I word-waterfalled way too much already today sorry for whoever is reading it, i think its a really fun subject and love balancing and look forward to gameloops with a lot of variety and little gems like finding a C2 filled with drugs as a small chance of doing bounty missions once the game is more complete down the line.
How long before the sell bug goes away any clue?
When 3.22 comes out
Oooofff when's that
have they said when they plan to drop this next patch?
Maybe next week
-Soon- (tm)
Hey eagle
yeah?
Ahh ok
soon......
Everytime we ask for 3.22 they push it back an hour
Is there anywhere we can go to sell illegal cargo or is all of it broken
is selling drugs bugged or simply saturated atm? ppl in game stating bugged but idk
Its all broken. Not just illegal, But ALL trading is fucked. Cant even sell FPS loot.
I sold maze/widow/neon litterally yesterday afternoon, what is this bug?
Even stuff like iron or gold?
I will be the sole reason we do not get 3.22 until 2024
damnn so its useless to go pick up a bunch of gold?
You'll be the reason I go to jail
what i’m hearing is I need to join your servers
I guess, i sold a lot of goods yesterday no problem. Illegal and legal
The only thing i had trouble selling was aphorite but you could still sell it 1 by 1
Id test today but my internet has been down the last 8 hours so couldnt play today
Mmm, what server
Probably us east if thats a server
Never really paid attention to which one i was in
So wait the PU is broken rn for trading?
Yes
I had liberated some goods while bounty hunting and found that I could not sell it anywhere. Nowhere had any demand. Is that the bug?
I see. I guess all that e'tam will need to wait
Yeah. Problem is this bug affects others gameplay like cargo or selling parts ships/fps loots
Just picked up SC and am a lil bummed that trading is unavailable for now.
Is there any good delivery/bounty missions or such to do in the meantime?
Wanna get that dragonfly to rip around on planets lol
The bounty hunter missions should work decently well. Box delivery missions should also work ok!
@heady pollen
Yes to both, unless CIG managed to fix the economy background server in the meantime.
Bounty hunters work a-ok, box deliveries are hit and miss. Sometimes delivery destination spots for box placement get bugged.
econ/supply/demand background process is backed up harder than a constipated elephant in a 3 ring circus
gonna have to wait for the netops crew to figure that one out, if they're even allowed to (given how close .22 is likely to hit PU anyway and that'll just refresh everything along the way)
Doubt its like 4:30 in LA
Has anyone tried selling in the last hour?
It's 7 in the morning in LA
probably won't be turned on until the update
Player reported selling some within the hour
Did CIG turn it off?
From what I've heard from others yeah, but I haven't seen a confirmation anywhere.
Yeah I couldn’t see them doing that tbh
Probably just speculation
Personally I think it’s a back end bug due to mass amounts of selling, probably didn’t expect this many drugs to be sold so frequently
could be. someone over in #looking-for-session said it's working again.
Give it 24 hours
Yeah some guy in game like 2 ish hours ago said he sold a bunch of eggs
Yep it's actually working could sell my drug and get the alert of the commodity price, it look like fixed
same here! slowly its coming back 🙂
does anyone know if the cargo on illegal bounties is generally more lucrative than legal?
its a big money maker
sometimes a hassle to get out of their ships and to get all of it out(dont blow it up :P) but overall very fun and rewarding gameloop. Bit too rewarding if you ask me but maybe they already nerfed it gonna start the loop again tonight
this is for the illegal one yes?
yup
oh
sorry i misunderstood, you mean illegal bounty contracts! No the legal ones are the ones bringing in the dough, but you gotta have a high rep with the bounty guild
there aint really any illegal bounty missions afaik? Just mercenary?
ah okay, yea someone said the mercenary ones where you kill the security does the same thing. When did they nerf the bounties?
not sure if they have, just saying i wouldn't be surprised if they had when i start it again
ah got you thank you
Did you have eggs in your cargo?
i sold eggs and maze a few mins ago,
I just went, no demand on eggs bnut i guess soemone eols before me
was it at R+D on hurston?
oh its really fixed?
Not sure, I still can sell eggs
I’ve tried wana 3x today with a few hours space out per attempt
No demand
oh okay
I just sell 100scu of eggs but it's difficult to sell drug but you can
How much are eggs worth?
112,000 per SCU
Wow, same locations as illegal goods to sell?
Yep. Except GrimHEX
damn nice! I only have 8scu to sell but I still wanna sell it
Have eggs gone down in price
I made a few 100k less than what I should have made
Last I check eggs were 110k per SCU
Last I check eggs were 110k per SCU
they around 106k now, still 100k+ so big money
Yeah I figured they dropped a bit, not sure what the point in knocking of 4k was 😆 did you get this number from a terminal?
yup! the demand is NOT on high though, its on low demand and the other prices are fluctuating a bit as well following how high/low the demand is atm, might be a bit more moving prices, driven by demand?
Heads up, economy has been fixed, you can trade now.
I cannot buy slam still so
really?
Trade terminals are still fucked
Utterly so
I just wanna buy slam for the love of christ
Maybe try server hopping? Might be on a server that isn't corrected yet
good idea
Some people are running into the same issues and some are reporting it's totally fixed. Sounds to me like there's a gradual rollout
im about to go do some vhrt and see for myself
Probably only fixed on certain servers which have restarted or something.
Could also be that CIG didn't fix anything and the servers are finally resetting on thier own a bit.
And yes, I do know that the commodity levels are across all servers, BUT the problem(s) still could be local to a server.
selling fixed?
It’s cleared up, not sure if it’s "Fixed" or how long it will last
It's not totally fixed, but fixed enough to bring out the pirates and make Brio's a blood bath again.
Just tried to sell and sold some before getting kilt! LOL! Enjoy the spoils juba_pacca.
Yes. Seems to be clearing up. I was able to sell my loot at scrapyards and indeed I was challenged when boarding my ship again by an opportunist who probably did not realise my ship was empty.
So I lifted a 32 SCU container of processed food nearby and had a fortnite moment where I simply placed an obstacle in front of them to force them to switch from a gun while I ran for my boarding lift
lol
Question.
When escorting things like a hull D or other big cargo vessel.
What escort ship is optimal? Perseus? Hammerhead? Polaris? Javelin?
Depends on the manpower you have available. A couple of entirely crewed hammerheads will be pretty nasty to encounter
What I would like is in the future is to have a way to have a cargo gantry and be able to Dock ship to ship and actually transfer SCU Cargo either by a truck or conveyer system. I feel utilising tractor technology is 1. Arbitrary and 2.Cumbersome, but at current time of design the only feasible way with the current game mechanics. Or have something similar to what the Hull C utilised at space stations. Being able to transfer cargo ship to ship using a commodity style console, when they are within range of one another. But only the ship carrying the cargo can initiate transfer
Like if say you have a full crew operating a Reclaimer, Arrastra or an Orian, being able to transfer refined cargo between ships in space without having to return to a station or having to manually transfer goods 1 at a time. Would bring it in line with what larger ships should be capable of.
Bring a fully crewed Redeemer. Powerful.
I'd say anything that can handle ships smaller than the Hull D. I wouldn't expect much Capital or very large ships going after Hulls, since those ships would be more difficult to get around in. Groups of bombers and the like will be the primary things you'd go after a Hull with, if you were going to at all (which I don't think will be common at all)
I doubt anyone will try destroying a hull
The plan will probably be to board it. You’re not gonna be tractor beaming 20,000 scu over to a new cargo vessel
Actually, I think you'll see more destroyed Hulls, than ones that get their cargo stolen
the main form of profit-earning from Hull Piracy is gonna be ransoms
because of the cargo issue, yeah
low-margin, high-volume cargo's difficult to make use of as a pirate
and, because of the size of the ships and with upcoming armor/etc changes, the D and E are gonna need a lot of firepower to really threaten. Otherwise it's gonna be like a lone hyena or two going after a Rhino
I’m just starting out and only have the aurora mr but what would you recommend be my first cargo vehicle?
Depends on how much you want to haul, if you want the maximum as a solo player and only cargo, one of the hull ships would be your best bet
Theres more versatile ships like the C1 spirit or the more combat oriented Cutlass Black
I saw a website that works out how much you make hauling but can't remember what it was called, anyone know what it is?
I would like a hauling mainly one what would you recommend as a cheaper starter type of those ships
Cutlass is a good all rounder, you can do cargo hauling, transporting people and combat
Mainly hauling, depends on how big you want to go, i have a Zeus that will be 128 (?) SCU which is a medium freighter for daily driving, it has some more stuff and can land anywhere
Hulls are cargo only and can only leave cargo in specific places due to how the ship is built
But you can haul enormous amounts of cargo
I'd recommend a C1 spirit if you don't mind the builder, 64 SCU and has firepower to defend itself
How much is that in game?
Can't buy it in game yet
Will probably be around 2 million
If you will grind for it, then cutlass black
1,385,300 aUEC
I'd recommend renting it and seeing if you like it
Oh okay then, what’s a good way of saving up for it should I do mining or pve or is there any good ways?
Bounties, bunkers, beacons, smuggle drugs on the aurora
Thanks
How much do drugs give you on average?
You'd make like 11k per run lol
I take back my recommendation to do that
If you wanted to practice the drug smuggling/trading loop it'd be worth doing but I don't think it's a really awesome way to make money
What about doing a bit of pve then renting a cutty black and doing it that way how much would that make? But I probably will practice it a bit.
Its not amazing no, you must enjoy it to be worth doing
I will add, there is no hauling quests so its on you to get the currency to be able to buy the cargo
Transport it
Then get what you spent and the profits
Pve low risk or very low risk bounties are a decent way to make money early. You can defeat them pretty easily in any starter ship. Or you could even rent the cutty black for 27k if you wanted more firepower or wanted to try cargo
You can also rent the cuttlass black and the roc miner and do gem mining. Once you learn how its probably about 100-150k an hour. Total cost for renting them both is like 34k so you make the money back usually in the 1st run. Just do your research 1st, dont go in blind
K thanks
!Uexcorp
So i just lost 120 SCU of gold (lost 600k investment to be precise) with a trading bug ?
Was processing infinitely during selling so i tried an other screen.
Ended with an empty cargo and didn't get paid
Also tried to buy a multitool and transaction failed so i think the system is broken
Nah, CIG cooking something, so servers are overheating. Also, were you on EU servers?
In that case go to the nearest ASOP and if the ship says anything but destroyed (location unknown or whatever) just wait and DON'T claim the ship. Even if the ship is near you and appears to be empty, you may have a chance. Leave it there and you may get it back with cargo within three days or so. I've done this and recovered cargo.
On the other hand of it's only 600k or so instead of 3 million and up, the value of using the ship may be worth more than the loss.
Even though this is slightly different, just a few days ago I have a glitch at Orison when I stored my loaded C2 and it fell through the hanger to the center of Crusader. Watched its marker fall away from me for a half hour or so (around 30,000 km at that point) before I logged off. Its status was unknown until three days later when it came back to me with its cargo intact.
Guys, I want something bigger to haul in. Been using the MSR and it’s pretty decent, but what’s better for a solo pilot to fly freight in? I’d LOVE a C2 Herc, but am wary now due to the upcoming engineering mechanics
I have had the C2 a long time and I think that ship will be valid for freight hauling for a long time still. If you have the 1.4 million to fill it with top cargo you can make the bigger profits. It also works well for hauling smaller vehicles and can ram ships if you are doing bounties. (You can fly mine if you want..)
Right on man. Problem is I can get the ship but don’t have that much cash to fill it lol
Need to keep running as is for now I guess, thicken my bank account 😁
You can start small and grow profit, theres commodities with all range of prices
You can try food or meds
I thought the roc was bugged? Tried using it a few weeks ago and it kept spawning gems really far
Had to keep moving my ship around as the gem nodes never stood in place, when i got to them the roc also didn't work
Arm didn't deploy
I wouldn't mind lending you my cutlass for a ride
So you can check how it handles and how much cargo it can move
I also have a C1 Spirit
Which cannot be obtained with the game's currency, but if you plan to pledge for it, you can get it
The last time i did it was a few days ago but it worked for me
Initally the mining arm was weird but you hit m for mining mode, you can hit u and it poped out for me
It’s fine but thanks
Would it be better to get the hull a instead of the cutty black bc its around the same price but has more scu space
Cutlass is able to do hauling and combat
You can also transport people
And you can land it anywhere
Hulls you cannot do that with
Whenever a hull deploys for hauling, you cannot land it
Consider the Freelancer series. They are old as designs but they are effective
Okay then I’ll have a look into them
Does selling work now, or still no demand?
Should be working now.
Well I missed my opportunity to buy my Herc 😕 So, of what’s available for purchase in the pledge store now, is the Connie Taurus my best bet as an upgrade to the MSR for solo cargo hauling?
Yeah, the Taurus is likely the best for the solo cargo role, overall
How much are the eggs worth again? And where can you sell them?
any idea Hull C price ingame?
you can always buy in greymarket if you want to spend cash
it was around the 15mil mark on the EPTU I believe
or... just wait for it to turn up again. It'll come around before too long
I got that Connie Taurus and am liking it a lot so far after a few runs. Quantum drive is slow though - Which one should I buy to upgrade?
XL-1
S2 Military Grade A
Military QDs are amazing. My C1 is so freaking fast haha.
Thanks guys
Will I need to upgrade powerplant too or no?
I didnt, im flying taurus too. I just upgraded weapons, QD, and shields
Perfect, thanks. Just bought and installed my XL-1 (woohoo, first ship mod! -noob)
If you have time, I'm curious what you put in for weapons and shields too
I did FR-86 for shields and for weapons i did 2 Omnisky XV, 2 Omnisky XII which are on mounts. I left the turret the same. All can be found on area 18 or orision
2 have to stay on mounts otherwise i would have put 4 Omnisky XV
Right on.
Real quick, I equipped the XL-1 in the vehicle manager and saved changes (shows it as equipped), but it still shows up in my local inventory - Is that normal, like until I spawn the ship again?
I would thing the one that the ship used to have would be in local, not the XL-1. But yea maybe spawn it and check again. Make sure it has the right drive in.
Could always just log out and back in too and see
Re-logging fixed it. Thanks man
how can you tell when stock is restocked?
You can wait, but also if you keep getting "Commodity Update Alert" alerts then you are at least able to sell!
I was able to sell in 10 minutes or so. Just didn't know if the shops were on a timer or not.
Yea every shop has a different timer for different commodities. Like X might refresh 20scu per minute meaning you can sell 20 scu of X every minute. Same with buying. They also have caps, like can can only sell a max of 100scu until it refreshs its stock every minute
Thanks
Guess this might not be the best channel for it but general is way to active and ive messaged here before. do we know if they nerfed VHRT/ERT cargo?
YOu mean assload of drugs/quant? Yeah, they did that way back in 3.21.
Nothing in patch notes.
Sweet
And no wipe! All my saving for a c2 wasn't completely in vain(i know ill lose it eventually)
yeap
Even if they nerfed it, which I believe they should, the C2 is still immensely good, even if the cargo is nerfed, 'cause it's strong, has a crap ton of turrets, and will make you millions (plural) while full
As anyone ad trouble selling construction material?
What did they do to it?
someone said CM can be sold at Admin
not TDD, but i cannot say with certainty as i have yet to sell
Anyone got issues with cargo not snapping in the vulture?
its always been a bit finnicky
Hull C on sale ingame?
How much did you see it at?
15ish M
probably new deal
Cool
Yah new deal, lorvile
Any ideas for good traderoutes for the Hull C? SC.trade.tools still has problems with the Hull C.
Try https://uexcorp.space it’s more updated
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
what is the best thing/resource to trade to make the most money
Drugs
The most valuable drugs that can be purchased are slam widow etam neon altruciatoxin
Huh?
?
Gold and Beryl.
you can trade route drugs?
If you want good value legal goods.
Absolutely
huh?? from where
Just go on yt and look up drug locations, there's plenty
Drugs nowadays are mostly scavenging from wrecks and then hauling ass to Brios hoping you wont get ganked.
Doesnt help that JT is active again, so cops are sniffing asses again.
also, with the HULL C, are you not able to get cargo from ground places like shubin mining facilities, etc, because of how its cargo works? or
i thought JT not active till 21st or something
Yeah, HullC is special, its trading is mostly between orbital stations and jump point stations.
so you cant really trade gold with it then.. can you
No, I dont think so. What ship you have?
This is a hull c hypothetical
And the answer is no
You physically cannot get gold on the hull c and even if you could theres nowhere near enough supply
And you would absolutely get pirated waiting for it
Madlad of friend managed to loadup some refinery orders onto HullC, but fucking Orison wouldnt want to buy it from ship.
I got a caterpillar. What is the most useful things I could trade
Anything really, drugs for pure money, gold and beryl if you want to stay legal.
Also, according to some trade routes, how much could I make per hour? Is hauling finally at a place where good money can be made?
Thx, is there any way to limit the tradegoods/routes to stations the Hull C can reach on that hp? Also the hp is not showing where to buy and where to sell. Or I am too dumb ^^
idk sorry
I think you can just do any space station right?
If you use the main page you can pick hull c as your ship and cycle through the commodity options to see profit estimates. Then once you see one you want just use like google to see where you can do it with hull c
No ide aabout that, you'll either have to play around with UEXCorp website or calculate it yourself.
I think ur gonna have some issues filling up a CAT with gold lol. Low supply for it. Ive seen people say heph and beryl are good for larger ships @surreal glade
Distilled spirits are not bad either, I think.
Arent those hard to sell in bulk tho? idk i dont remember maybe im thinking of something else
Medical supplies are hard to sell.
yeah thats what it was
Where are distilled spirits sold?
Shady Glen Farms on Wala is good lately
All farms are good.
What’s yall’s go to all-around space trucker armor that can handle both hot and cold climate for a limited time (running between ship and outpost buildings, etc.)
I'm a fanatical box runner, I just use whatever I feel like wearing. 99% of the time it's light armor in whatever undersuit that fits my preferred style at the moment.
Right on. Yeah, I haven’t died yet to climate also just wearing whatever, but was just curious if there’s some ideal suits
The environmental suits are going to be the "best", especially if you end up stranded somewhere.
Anyone know of a work around to cargo not snapping into place? I can fix it if I file a claim but that isn't always practical
just store and pull the ship?
anyone know if the deploy probe missions end up paying more?
So coming back to the game after a few years I’ve forgotten some game mechanics and am curious about “best practices” while hauling cargo, specifically when landing at planetary outposts. Thank you to anyone taking the time to answer all these.
- Ramp, etc: Should you always close this behind you when running into the admin building? Does it matter, can other players enter your ship with the button anyway?
- Ship power: Leave on or turn off every time you exit the ship and why?
- Aside from them physically removing it out of your ship, are there other ways cargo be stolen? (saw someone yesterday mention they were making millions stealing cargo at Brios all day)
- When you’re approaching a planetary and you see a red ship marker in the area, do you always just fly away and go buy/sell somewhere else? (I know this one is more personal risk profile)
Yeah always close your ship behind you
People can't use the buttons, they can only fire at the ramps/elevators to force it open
Don't turn the ship down, you need your shields, but turn engines off
You don't want your ship to start hovering for some random reason and fly away because of wind or any random shit
- Yes. When someone gets in your ship, he can fly away and steal your cargo.
- Power on, always engine off. When someone bumps your ship off the pad, it starts to hover. You can't get in, someone else can with another ship.
- Only by physically stealing/looting cargo.
- I personally scan/tag first to see what it is, but I usually go elsewhere.
Awesome, thank you guys for the responses.
also when leaving with cargo preset the QT destination and make sure its on the same side of the planet.
Just make sure you do it before taking off or even earlier than that?
You want to do that before take off and you leave the armistice zone. So basically when landing make a 180° turn toward the way you came from.
Does anyone know if you still have to separate out your cargo in order to sell it? For a while you couldn’t sell if you had (for instance) Neon on top of Widow or a mismatched stack basically.
Any cargo missions that are worth doing that make use of small ships with cargo space like Mustang and Sylen?
No cargo missions yet. There are delivery missions where you transport handheld/carryable packages. Think UPS/FedEx.
Anyone know if there is a trading app/website like SC trade or something that actually works now? If not, how do y'all find good trade routs?
Did the patch break all the trade sites?
SC trade hasn't been accurate since a while ago it seems. Something related to how it gathers its data and how it can't do that now due to the patches. I think since 3.21
You won't ever find anything more accurate than tradetools
Interesting. Well, it’s at least been accurate enough to be useful to me lately. But if there’s something better I’d also be interested to know.
There's an app they've developed, it's in beta currently, that takes a screen shot of the trade terminals and uploads automatically to keep them accurate, the more people we get on that the better the info will be, worth looking at
UEXCorp
Tradetool still better
are weevil eggs not selling at NQA stations?
Yeah. You have to sell them at salvage yards. Makes them dicy to try to sell.
personally proud of this one
so is there any place i can sell unregistered construction materials reliably?
No demand for RMC everywhere I’ve tried
so many people salvaging
SO I got the Hull C ship but I'm litteraly hopless right now
is anyone willing or want to play the game with me and take me step by step and we spliut the profit
do not worry will put all the money in
what are you planning to move?
me?
anything honestly
from 1 station to another
idk what to move and how to do it
new to Hull C and begginer for trading
legal for the moment ilegal I have different metherns
:P
shale we make a voice chanal?
sure let me launch SC
made a chanal join down there when you can
@fervent tapir you crashed or changed your mind doing this XD ?
System went sideways, going to restart game rig
I'm running wireless... 😬, going to also reboot cable/router
A18 was full yesterday
All 50,000 of it lol
dunno lol ive been there like 10 times since .22, never had issues. just sold 4.5m there as well lol

Hi guys, the C2 will have a tractor beam one day (like the C1) ?
Question: Can you have 2 ships stored at a station with cargo inside? I had a C2 full of cargo stored at Grim, then I tried to store an M2 full of cargo at Grim, and the sell terminal only saw cargo in the C2. The M2 cargo just disappeared
ert cargo nerfed this patch?
A bit. It's still very lucrative, but they changed the distribution so you get less of the super valuable stuff.
oh okay so you now have to do it say for 3 hours to make as much as what we did per ship before?/
More or less. I think the amount of cargo you'll get will still be the same, it'll just take more runs to make the same amount of money.
Can I buy cargo containers? if so where can I get it? all sizes? sorry, Im new around here
I think you can purchase them from cargo depots at L1 space stations (some of the planet space stations have cargo decks too)
thanks again
1 2 and one more
https://finder.cstone.space/Containers1/d6f1b600-353d-42d7-a592-450172889f00
According to these 2 links I got the locations wrong
wow, great, thanks again!
So check those out XD
I bought a hull C, stocked up on cargo, Im docked at everus, how do I sell? it wont let me sell here at everus as it says I need a cargo deck, but I cant get a cargo deck because it wont let me try to sell
Made this because i got annoyed doing math for me and my buddies salvage runs. Any need for this in the broader community?
misc hull c still dogshit?
So far, cant figure out how to sell
great
I take it back, I just misread a chart.
The station Im at doesnt take what Im selling
Got the same question.
Got like 7 mil of salvage slow roasting in my reclaimer and I wanna know if I should invest into the hull c after I sell
Last I noticed, they're still not extending arms at docking ports for ships that use those
I don't know if hangar, buying, and selling have improved
For the hull c you really don’t need a docking port, you can just fly next to a landing pad and EVA out and into the station, sell and then go to the cargo bay
It is bugged if you use it the way you are meant to but there are work arounds
So is it worth buying one?
Ehhh, that depends, if you really like cargo and are happy to do the workaround while you wait however long it takes for them to fix docking bays, then I’d say go for it, but 15 mil is alot to sink into a ship that has a decent amount of bugs so my recommendation is to only get it if you really like cargo, if not then just wait a bit till they fix the docking and other stuff.
overall though once all the bugs are fleshed out I’d say it’s 100% worth it, seems like it will be a great way to make money in the future and even now
I found all the walking around to be tedious in the Hull C. I tried to test one at IAE but I either could not dock or sell/load at the cargo area. It would tell me to stop in the blue box but did not recognise when I was actually stopped. It may have been the servers melting down at the time but it didn't seem great.
I also had a few cases of the ship deployed spawning inside hangars or perpendicular to the station, clipping inside
Kinda wanting to try out some Cargo gameplay with a Cutlass Black rental. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to start. Like what to buy, where to sell.
With as little space as a cutty, I'd recommend you run drugs from JT to Brio's.
I mean maybe, but I feel like my multitool will say no to being equipped
You don't need a multi tool 🤷
And then I have to buy new pants
I mean to move objects back to my ship
cause JT is a hostile area, someone is destined to shoot my ship
Not necessarly
With a ship as small as the cutty, you really just land, buy and take off immediatly
Buy? Don't you collect the maze from a machine that takes time?
With a bigger one, you would have a bit of wait time for stocks to go high, risking your ship to be destroyed
That's only when the JT event is active. But when it's not, you can buy drugs from here, using a terminal like anywhere else
Like I said, you don't need the tractor beam
gotcha.
I can try this out with my cutter scout. Rhyme was not intended
the drug in question is maze correct?
gotcha
does it mater which JT point I go to?
Guessing I have to manually fly to it?
You'll have to, yeah
I don't know if it works at other JT points, I've never tried it outside of Yela JT -> Brio's
Did they nerf ERTs?
They did but you can still make huge amounts of money, it might just take a bit longer since they lowered spawn rates of highly valuable cargos
Less gwe and maze (and maybe tweaked some others too), but can still get a ton of stuff.
so still worth grinding to and get a taurus to do ert's
Most likely.
whats the best way to get into cargo stuff quick, im still in my aurora 😦 and wanna move on
Cutlass Black is the most barebones entry-level ship for cargo hauling.
Then you get Freelancer with 66 SCU of cargo, or HullA with 64 SCU.
The is also Consolidated Outland's Nomad, with 24 SCU of cargo, but AFAIK, most people reccomend it as a ROC/ROC-DS carrier, not cargo hauler.
yeah idk why but the open back of the nomad scares me
You wouldn't like Hull series either then.
Asking here cuz cargo ship:
Are docking ports fixed? Last patch taking hull c out the tunnel would never extend and I’d have to EVA over lol
Don’t forget the C1 with 64SCU once it becomes available for in-game purchase! Love the C1 🙂
C1 top tier best pledge store purchase I’ve made
nope
this might not be the right channel but the cargo bags on my prospector are just gone. ive tried storing the ship putting it back, ive repaired it, ive self destructed and they just wont come back. what am i supposed to do?
only thing i can find when i search up my issue is people replacing the prospector bags with mole bags but issue is that i dont have those missions lmao.
so how do i regen my ships bags??
Well you could try renting a prospector and stealing the bags from that and putting them on your own ship.
Then go into the vehicle loadout management, remove or change a different part and save the loadout.
yikes
The bags should stay
alot of work. and ive been trying to save up for a ship x_x
Renting a prospector isn't much
ill just do it tommorow maybe. head hurts to much to be doin that rn tbh.
Land them both on a landing pad of a station to do the work and make sure to unlock ports while you do the swap
alr
And lock the ports again. Learned that lesson a while ago
How do you come up with trading routes
SC Trade Tools and UEXCorp. As well as writing it down yourself.
Is building up rep to high level bounties to loot them and sell the cargo still pretty profitable. Been grinding my face off with a vulture and have made enough for a large ship.
Still the most profitable occupation in game.
On another loop, is the most basic and pretty profitable cargo grinding just buying something like a Hercules and buying goods on one planet and selling them at another?
Yes, mining stations particularly. You will want to look at a site like SC Trade Tools for resource values, so you buy the right stuff. Mainly people trade in Gold and Beryl these days, and sell them at main planet TDD. Gold is the high return, high risk, and usually takes a while to get a full Herc. Beryl is the quick and low risk path.
And beryl its almost always available
Hey, I'm a noob and I heard about sc-trade.tools, and it looks amazing, but it's for 3.21. Does anyone know of a similar resource with current 3.22 data?
Commodities data often have very little change between patches, if not none. Just keep using trade tools, it's still mostly up to date and the best tool anyway
Ooh ok, thank you!
Why won’t it let me sell neon or etam at grim hex? I did steal it, if that helps clear up the situation
What does it say on the left of the screen ?
No demand I suppose?
So you should be able to sell no problem
Terminal was refreshing, they are out of demand
My bad
Can i sell at like brios or something and demand will be there?
If it's under no demand. That means stocks are high, and simply waiting a few minutes should be enough to sell
If it's under cannot sell, you can fly to somewhere else.
Between 5-15 minutes
I think those are the 2 vices that Grim hex does not take.
are docking ports working at any station?
From the patch notes know issues list:
Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles - When docking at a station the docking arm will not extend
so no
Can anyone confirm drugs are still in ERT cargo post update about 2-3 hours ago?
does anybody have a workarounds for the hull c transfer stuck at 00:00?
this is getting annoying
That happened to me unloading, after the sale
any workaround for " unloading cargo " not working?
hey guys i just wanted to ask, i got robbed today at brios trying to sell by 6 people, i couldnt get away in my corsair with two mantis, f8c lighting, arrow and some others there, i wanted to know about scouting out, like what is the fastest ship to outran a mantis, i brought a m50 and a razer ex stealth, are they good to go down and scout first and be able to out run?
Usually fly around pinging away like mad, see what pops out. And be ready to bolt into QT anytime.
If you see a non cargo ship at a scrap yard run away.
I scan everything I see landed from a distance to see if they are owned by "Gamerules". If they are it means the owner died and left their ship behind or logged out.
Either way it cannot be flown so it's basically a non factor afaik.
Hover over the area and ping. If you see small icons below you there are people on the ground. Be careful.
And ofc if there blue markers flying combat ships in the area go somewhere else.
I once saw a manned f8c hovering over a scrapyard while scouting. Instant nope.
Any workaround with " unable to transfer cargo " issues? I can load the hull c perfectly but cant sell anywhere, keep saying theres a problem
Last time I checked Brios was because I had just killed a reclaimer with eggs on board in orbit of Daymar and I was already close.
I flew about for a few minutes looking for issues but then a Mantis, F8C and two Arrows QJed locally probably from the nearest landing pad and moved right to me. I pointed at the sky and boosted away before the Mantis could get close enough to jam me.
I went elsewhere.
You demonstrated a rare ability within the SC community - situational awareness. Most people just come here to complain about how they totally got dragged into PvP without consent and I R MAD, but they demonstrated zero willingness to check their surroundings 1st.
good morning Everyone, kind of new player, want to try cargo runs, is it good? and is it worth to buy the Hull C. I was told you can buy it in game but I do not know where and how much is it
The hull C is 15 mil and docking ports are bugged so I wouldn't.
oh, ok, many thanks, have a good one
grab a c1 if you want a more usable cargo ship afaik
not as much cargo space, but it's only about 5mil in game and I doubt the game has the tickrate to fill a hull c up on the valuable stuff in the first place
thank you very much, good info, will do, lol
He meant crusader c2 hercules
And the cargo transfer too
Until the hull c works, the C2 its the way
a y
Thanks Guys
anyone know how much this is worth, wont let me sell it anywhere as it doesnt fit in my corsair cargo grid
quartz is one of the cheapest commodities
this box is around 13k aUEC
also it doesn't have to snap on the grid, as long as it is inside your ship
Are the Hull-C issues fixed now?
Nope.
fuck.. lol I got enough in game money to buy one, and was excited. but dont want to buy it to not use it lol
It's also still higher risk with lower reward than just about any other cargo option
I dont mind the high risk low reward. I can just go make money in a reclaimer if thats what im aiming for. I just wanna be a big space trucker for a bit 🤣
@merc thank you mate glad i know its not worth it, is there any cheat sheet for what to take from the bountie ships, i know to throw distilled away, but havent gotten eggs yet but only 3rd day at it, also is there a better ship then the corsair
See best buyers on !tradetools ⬇️
One-stop-shop for everything trade related in Star Citizen: best trade routes, best mining spots, etc.
Does it make sense to grab a Connie Taurus as an intermediate step to the C2, or just grind the extra and go straight to the C2? Flying a C1 right now.
If your goal is cargo hauling, I'd say you better save for the C2
I use fully ballistic Corsair for high threat emergency beacons to fight stuff like Hammerheads.
For cargo I use a Starlifter like C2 or M2, hell even A2, to loot commodities in large amounts from high tier salvage missions
I was considering a Caterpillar but found out it's not good for 32 SCU crates
Corsair got a bit of a small cargo hold for this. Taurus or Hercules are better suited
They don't fit on grid, but you can still fit 2x per section and have plenty of room left
@haughty cipher thats good to know i was actually ccuing to a catapilar, i was like 44 dollars away from it so was going to do it, i saw a tuber doing it in an c2 with ballistic, ive been robbed twiced, but its a lot faster then mining, missions so i like to get the cargo, almost saved up 3 mil for my terrapin, then can work towards a c2 or that to try, i just cant seem to find the right balance, the msr i got owned in and cant do the mission despite loving the ship, as i solo, the corsair is a mantis attractor and been robbed twice, so yea i can spend 3 hours till i get a good spawn of loot from hrts, still leveling up to get better missions, but just wanted something like a redeemer but with cargo space ^^
it hurt tonight when i got robbed, they took my demco that had my red underbarrel fiedlight, love that and its now gone till they reset again
Anyone know if selling stolen goods is broken or not? We have been having issues trying to sell
So is there some trick to high-level trading? I finally have the scratch to make buying gold, beryl, etc. worth the while now, but I spent all afternoon hopping around and camping terminals trying to find anything in stock. Was only able to actually buy gold like two times in hours of attempting.
Gold is slowass trickle of supply. People can spend up to 2 hours camping the terminal when trying to fill up their ships. Beryl is also one of good trading materials, but also refipls faster than the gold. Or should at least.
Beryl has near infinite supply on Ita
Thank you! Hadn't noticed how much better the refresh rates are there.
when selling something with no demand, do I have to keep going in and out of the trading screen or will it refresh automatically if the server ticks?
quick question! trying to mine with a friend, I rented a prospector and want to release my cargo pods for him to take back to the refinery, how does one do this?
can i not sell weevil eggs anywhere rn
Anyone noticed if ERTs have been nerf’d regarding their cargo drugs since 3.22 release?
Probably no demand, change server region or wait a little
YES, ships are on sale today so I melted some seldom-used ships and got myself a C2 Herc! For both hauling and some bounty hunting, I'm thinking a pair of AD5B's in the front, a couple FR-86's, and a TS-2 QD? Recommendations, or is that good?
I’m a fan of S5 laser cannons on the front but I’m sure the AD5Bs would be fun too. Otherwise that’s the standard setup
does the tractor beam on the 315p work yet?
and does the nomad have a better fuel tank yet?
anyone have a ypoutube for volture tractor how to use it etc?
as in, using the vulture's tractor beam? install it, get the ship in the air, enter salvage mode (m), use beam?
is instaled but why it use tractor and salvage toghetr ?
because they're both on the same mode
I think you can press 9 or 0 to use them separately
aaaaaah ok ill try
you can also install another one on the vulture if you wanted to afaik, but it's not worth it since the salvaging you'll most likely be doing is in space where you can just fly around it.
Trying to decide between the freelancer max and Taurus for my refined ores transport ship. Thoughts?
taurus has more cargo space iirc
and probably more defendable since you'll be transporting such valuable materials
My thoughts too, just gonna take another 1.3 mil abd I'm impatient lol
yeah. What are you currently using for the cargo?
Renting when I've stockpiled. Tried both the Andromeda and the freelance.
ah
if you need something now, then a freelancer max wouldn't do bad, but again, not particularly defendable afaik
The AD5B's make it an ERT monster
Brrrrt > Beep Boop
what's your favorite QD for the reclaimer?
Looking into a C2 for looting ERTs and perhaps trying cargo. A buddy said, no get the A2, but I believe it can only hold 4 32cu crates. Am I wrong?
Hey cargoland. Am I fucking myself over by using a RAFT for cargo hauling? I really like the look of Argo ships and I like actually can't stand the C2
cargo shows as unregistered. any way i can fix this?
How much hadERT cargo been nerf’d I heard it’s calm down a bit
Yes basically
If you hate c2 try caterpilar
Oh right, that's a thing
I also love the Argo vibe, but you’ll outgrow the raft pretty quickly. The C2 is on a whole other level right now. Caterpillar and eventually Hull-C will be your class-competitors (once Hull-C gets fixed…)
I want to see more from Argo though! A proper medium or heavy freighter, a small miner, and a salvage option would all be welcome in my books 🙂
I would kill for an ARGO salvage ship
Did they remove the Hammerhead cleanup? I'm not seeing it in my contracts
yeah same I did two and now it's not showing up anymore
C2 good for looting ERTs? Buddy said no use the A2 but it has way less cargo...
I'm very interested in this topic myself... I've seen people do them in C2s, but I would think the extra fire power of the M2 or A2 would be very beneficial for ERTs
that and IDK that I want to be hauling around thousands of SCUs of drugs to be pirated
Beryl is probably better to buy/sell then drugs right? Drugs can only be bought and sold at the illegal labs which you can’t QT to?
As far as aUEC/hour
it spawned again but it seems like the cooldown is longer now
So what's a good trading route ATM?
C2 and A2 are identical firepower when solo. Only reason to use the A2 is when you have a decent crew to man the guns.
THanks man. Yeah big arguement with a couple frinds about it, they said the C2 is useless because less guns.
Perhaps this is wrong: https://fleetyards.net/compare/ships/?models[]=c2-hercules&models[]=a2-hercules
Yea, I see the A2 has 4 size 5 weapons vs the C2s 2. Are those not pilot controlled?
Nope. The A2 has 2x S5s for the pilot and 6x S5 in turrets controlled remotely from a special turret room
Total nonsense. I do ERTs in any Herc solo. You need to man the turrets to make use of the other guns.
2x S5s gets the job done.
It depends, classic c2 beryl works, now lot of people trading rmc from new settlements
You can always run drugs ofc
so where is the 2nd S5 "weapon"... based off what you said the 6 turrets and 2 S5s for the pilot are accounted, but that leaves 2 more weapon mounts
2 of those are double S5s and 2 of them are single S5s.
Have a heinous amount of maze and was wondering if doing the illegal priority mission or the legal one has any difference in the amt u sell for
Take the JT illegal contract and go there to sell much bigger profit.
have they dialed back the hammerhead missions? I got one and haven't had another pop up yet
I was on 70 minutes ago and saw one...
hey guys i wanted to ask, as i just finish earning 3 mil for the anvil terrapin, i was about to start a new goal looking for something with more cargo room, as i want to be able to horde more cargo, i saw a tuber saying that a c2 with a5db is good for bounty erts, im only at lrts and level 3 of bounty, so cant do erts yet, but any suggestions on what ship to go for, using a corsair atm
DISCLAMER: I'm pretty new to the game too, but from what I've seen the consensus seems to be that the C2 is one of the best "all around" ships for solo play. You can't mine or salvage with it so if you want to do any industry related tasks, you'll need a ship designed for that, but the C2 can take a beating, has decent pilot operated guns, and can haul just about anything. Once armor is modeled properly, the M2 is going to be a beast as it sacrifices some cargo space but has much thicker armor. The A2 is in a weird place right now. You need to constantly play with 4+ people and run it as a gunship like a hammerhead that happens to hold some cargo for it to make any sense.
For a medium haul cargo, you've got the Constellation Taurus, Freelancer MAX, or the Mercury Star Runner (MSR)
You can compare ships using this link https://uexcorp.space/ships
I'm also struggling with what ship to purchase next...
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
Thumbs up on Taurus ans Fatlancer, but MSR is shit.
I was just going off the sheet for what was around a 150 LOL.
I just looked inside the MSR @new deal... It was annoying walking around the ship lol
Now imagine having to fix shit in it, or evac when it finally gives up the ghost.
also, I just saw the price of the MSR... Why would you purchase an MSR for 4.91M when you can buy a C2 for 4.92M
And if you save up some more extra cash, immediately improve it by buying stuff at cousin crows, if you buy it on Orison.
Price is same.
@drowsy phoenix yea i have the corsair bis and bis msr, i tried doing a hrt with it but just got ownz, as the pilot dps is brutal, im using the corsair, but because i cant hold much its an issue, i go back to brios offten, and 3/4 times im killed or robbed or bombed, im looking for solo as i do everything solo, as its hard to know when ill play, so i want something that can solo the hrt and ert and i want to be able to horde the storage and sell into big loads
i cant wait for the armor stuff to come in, as i love the terrapin, i actually had it for pledge but upgraded to corsair, but the terrapin is my go to bunker beast, land right at stairs and in and out, was really good
I would say do the Grind for a C2. It's so useful! We can do a run on the Reclaimer if you want. Just contact me dm...
how long does it take the TDDs to refresh
@aidanlok generally speaking not more than 10 minutes. If it's persistent no sale then log off and on.
Are there route calculators anywhere?
Which tool in there, the Routes option doesn't allow my input, need to calculate a specific route
I need Distance between Pickers Hurston and NB TDD.

anyone know if the hull c is broken still?
Got myself a MAX finally, but man, not much worth trading
I guess I can at least move my refined ore now
Gold? Beryl? Consistent profit to be made and short hops usually.
Yes. Still broken.
Gold if you are willing to wait and refresh the terminal, beryl for faster sales.
I personally (Giving you a hand mr pirate reading this) have been using UEXCorp and doing some RMC runs. Getting 123k AUEC (24% profit) per run in my Cutlass Black
anyone got a good build for c2 for vhrts, saw ppl saying ad5b and same swear by the cfs for inf ammo
Just use s5 laser cannons. You don't need anything more.
Use the lightstrikes because Esperia is goated
can the syulen tackle box missions? I understand it is limited to 6 x 1 SCU boxes and it is not easy to mount the boxes onto the external cargo hold
You can just put the boxes inside your ship
i saw some videos that indicated you can't put boxes in trhe syulen, the entrance is too small
whats the max size of box i can carry?
Box delivery missions are all same-size handheld boxes
i see
i'm having a hard time deciding between the nomad and the syulen
syulen has cool interior shiip design and HUD even if i'm not a fan of the exterior. LTI, but no vehicles , limited cargo , cannot carry more than 1 SCU size, tricky landing
nomad has has uncool interior ship design. not nice exterior, butr cargo bay super useful
avenger titan looks too dated interior and not the biggest fan of tghe exterior
I like the syulen's exterior :(
i can tell LOL
Keep in mind the Nomad can be bought in game while the Syulen currently cannot
if there are wipes, is it muich harder to start with a syulen than a nomad?
If you want the end all be all "I'm safe in case of a wipe" ship that'll be a cutty black tbh
too bad its not on holiday sale
Bias aside. I'd say get a nomad unless you really like the syulen
The nomad can fit a ROC and is generally more versatile. The syulen looks really sick but that's about it
between an avenger titan, 100i and nomad, is the nomad hands down the clear choiuce? assume agnostic to cost
I don't think the 100i has a walkable interior, which disqualifies it imo
i see
And you said the avenger looked dated
At the end of the day they're starter ships so like. Pick the one you'd enjoy flying rather than the best one
No point buying an avenger if you hate the ship
true
haha i have spent about 15 days agonising over nomad or syulen
Get a syulen for style and a nomad for utility.
FWIW Syulen has LTI so if you ever CCU it, that sticks around
i know...the LTI is a really large pull
So if you need a tiebreaker that's probably it
Plus didn't you say you disliked both the exterior and interior of the nomad
Then yeah get the syulen
so is the idea like this - when wipe, just do box missions untill you get enough in game credits to buy a bigger ship
Yeah.
Or worst case you can find a spot with someone that's got a bigger ship. Wipe means people will probably be in a hurry to make money
i see
in terms of spending money on this game, at a nimunim, i would be a starter, and at some point if there is discount on standalone ships, i will get a larger ship where i can park my starter
I think you'll have a hard time finding a ship to park a syulen, unless you get like a carrack/890
how do i find out what ships can accomodatge what ships? i'm looking at the wiki but it is not clear to mw
!fits
that looks like a massive cash outlay even with CCU
I do not recommend it
The convenience of parking your syulen inside a ship is not worth that much money.
true that
side track abit - character customisation - is it you can only do it once? or are you able to change how your character looks like an unlimitewd number of times without any real money costs?
which is the 'best' location to start from?
is thier a website that shows cargo grids for ships with max container sizes?
You can change it whenever you like. Once you hit enter persistent universe there's an option in the bottom right before you join into a region
Pirating or buying?
Yeah that's still the issue. Sit an wait or move something without much profit. I'll try drugs
Nobody said traders/space truckers life is easy.
Just sad there all that waste and scrap waiting for pickup
And all those ships leaving tdd empty
buying. Though I the mr pirate was for the pirates watching this channel because I'mn giving away info
Ah well I'll look. Didn't know it could be bought
Salvaging just pays too well right now
80k salvage mission and sell the rmc you collect. Easy 200k
if I had a hull C loaded with RMC, would I be able to sell that at orison ?
No, shit's bugged. Hopenyou like tonplay cargo jockey/warehouse operative by unloading Hull and putting cargo on C2 or something similar.
What are some good commodities for a c2 to trade?
Cargo dropped from high level bounties
Beryl.
does anyone have that image of the trading routes for the hull C
my ship is not showing up at the commodity terminals in the new settlements even tho I parked close, any ideas?
only shows my name twice and the settlement name on the terminal
Maybe not close enough?
I had same issue. Parked right next to it. What ship type? I know my aurora never showed up at outposts but bigger ship did
You mean this image?
Yea Ty
Which one has the highest profit
C2, parked it as close to the fence outside as I possibly could
It was like a 100m away from the shop
Yeah must be a feature then 😉
Haven’t tried it on the 3.22 live server yet, since the hull C is still bugged. So no idea.
Yea but so I’d everything. It’s called a unintended feature
What's the deal with the Maker's Mark mission? Can I just go there and buy the RMC? Then to Arc Corp for the sale?
can someone quickly show me the best routes for the C1 on SC Trade Tools? cant seem to figure out how to make it tell me where to buy illegal cargo
You mean Vice! I have a cheat sheet for that.
Ships that are not landed still shows up in the inventory management of ground stations? Like mining stations or where we sell eggs maze etc?

SC Trade Tools seem somewhat behind on some prices changes in .22, like RMC. Unless recent updates have happened, keep in mind what the site has may not reflect what's in the game now.
as long as it's close enough, yeah, it'll show up
I visited the new settlement called "Astro's Clearing" and in the Bar area was a terminal that was glitched. The Makers Mark new site did not have a QT jump marker but I thought it did. I walked over the first site pretty well in daylight could not find any loot and the settlers were passive. A npc ship attacked me but a blue Corsair came by and killed it. I had a Vulture and hoped to buy some RMC. These sites are on MT.
looking at the progress tracker and just hoping that the next update will implement the Self Land hangers as persistent hangers as well as freight elevators. CIG plz ❤️
Is there a website that shows current inventories of places to sell cargo? and their prices too??

the site states "Up-to-date with Star Citizen version 3.21.1"
so it's behind.
if i were to get into cargo running what ship would yall recommend i buy
C2
Def. C2
What are the best cargo runs at the moment?
RMC at some of the new settlements or the typical Gold & Beryl
For a safe run do Beryl from SMO-10 or SMO-22 to New Babbage.
For higher risk/reward try RMC from Rappel to Lorville. Alternatively Gold from SCD-1 or SMO-18 to wherever pays best
If they can afford it.
Idk how you would get into trading if you don’t have a c2 (+ money to invest in buying cargo). Margins are no where nearly as profitable, although the high risk route from Rappel might be ok.
Well thats true, but he didnt ask for numbers. Id start with cutlass black and drugs, and grow from there if cargo its what you want
Or gold with luck
With a taurus you can do legal stuff with some profit
Anyone rememeber im 3.20 when you could run into 10X C2 and get $$$$$$$. I think those days have gone in 3.22????
does selling the JT bundles or turning them in give more money?
is there no way to run RMC with the hull c?
Not that I know of. Can only dock in space
can the Hull-C dock in orison? if so - that'd be the only option
It can't
Didn't think so but wasn't 100% on that
It can dock with Orison, but TDD still wont read its cargo grid. Unless they axed that ability in 3.22.
Is there any difference in price to where I sell refined ores in major cities?
And are Major cities the best place to sell refined ores?
realistically the only place, given each city has the TDD where they buy refined ores.
Each major city is slightly different in prices, usually not worth the hassle of finding the best of each ore unless you have a ton of just 1 or 2 ores
!tradetools shows you prices for each place, just use best buyer and out in what item and how much you got

whats the best trade route for the hull c
Does anyone know when you would choose a caterpillar over a c2
I don't think theres really a good time, unless you are manually moving things from one ship to another, in which case the cat has a tractor beam... but thats only if that really is a big issue for you or not
no idea. I just know that this is the route table that a lot of people have been using
ah ok ty man i appreciate it
I ahven't used my Hull-C yet because of it being bugged this patch
oh it is? how?
people say that it bugs at the docking port - doesn't like to spawn docked or something. not 100% sure but Ive seen people in chat say they've lost millions because of it.
oh yeap i have had that issue thought it was just me
haha nope. its a known issue with the hull-c currently.
Anyone know if you get to the courier rank for delivery missions if there any new missions? Or is the 45k one the highest one
It's faster to load a caterpillar than it is to load a C2.
are the derelict outpost still op to buy rmc from
How does one trade in this game? Do you buy at one station and sell it at another?
yep
prices are different elsewhere so you buy someplace cheap (not just stations but planet outposts sometimes) and sell where they buy high
Got it.
Any way to browse the system wide market?
Comparing prices etc
Also, are all prices NPC controlled? As in…not player driven?
Might be a stupid question but I come from Eve
Anyone knows why I can't sell more than 10PSU per station?
The game is in alpha and has no economy yet
Currently supply/demand is based on how much people buy/sell

admin terminals have a cap on how much of each resource they can buy at once, and they can be affected by other players selling stuff
FAIR WARNING at last glance SC Trade Tools isnt updated to .22 yet, so prices may be incorrect.
What do you guys say about this page: https://uexcorp.space/routes it seems correct and updatet

Dunboro terminal does work? I couldnt make it to show my ship to buy stuff
where to sell Altuziatoxin ?

Does anyone know if the cargo "bug" of making sure you stack boxes on top of the same type of boxes is still a thing? Or can you stack anything on top of anything and be able to sell it, now?
It's not 👍 Feel free to stack
Ah-maze-ing! Thanks!
lets say i have a C2 what would be the best way to make money ? doing EHT and VHT for the rare cargo or normal trading ?
ERTs for sure
okay thanks
i right now have 4,5 mio what would be the fastes way to make money ? so i can buy the c2 ingame xd
ERTs - if you go boom or get pirated, all you've lost is time. Buying/Selling - you've lost millions in aUEC.
pirat real that big of a problem ? like i never meet players in this game only in stations or cities or sometimes a OM point but else never lol
Depends on what you're hauling and where you're going.
gotcha alot of people camping on those sell stations ?
If you're doing ERT's, you're going to be looting drugs out of the cargo bays of the ships.
Drugs sell at GrimHEX or the junkyards (Brio's, Devlin's, etc)
Brio's is a popular spot for pirates to wait for unsuspecting solo players to come along.
I always bring escorts/scouts to those places.
okay okay but the C2 has big shields so unless a QT jammer no way the can kill me xd
You can also sell most drugs at a terminal at the CRU-L4 station
Even with escorts, I got QT jammed the other day in my C2, and could not get away. First time I experienced soft death.
can i ask you play on EU or NA ?
CRU-L4 and CRU-L5 have very limited demand, so unless you want to play the server hop game or wait, those aren't great options unless you're only selling a few SCUs. (in my experience, anyway. Other's mileage may vary)
I usually put it on "Best" and hope. 🤣
But I'm in NA. If I need to hop servers, I usually try EU first, then whereever.
gotcha xd
Are there any good guides out there on using the Hull-C i.e. working around the bugs?
Where buys gasping weevil eggs? Gonna try my luck with some erts
Salvage yards
No where safe then, even at reduced cost 🤣
hurston security took my RMC bought in outpost, wTF?
** Interesting scuttlebutt on Trade**
- Hull series of ships will be managed differently for cargo and loading of said cargo. No further details.
- Real time signage in cities and in mobiGlas for commodity pricing
- No more predetermined routes. Outposts will not always have the same types of commodities for sale or purchase.
So the real time signage is also an accurate reflection of the trade price and is it going to show every trade item?
so the Corsair is not designed to hold 32 scu Containers?
Not on grid, but it can fit 3x 32 SCU containers off grid with room for at least 40 more SCU in smaller containers
This is rumor for 3.23, I apologize for not noting that originally. Just speculation, but I'm sure it should be a real time market price. I hope that CIG offers API access for sites like SC Trade Tools to use
i hope they fix that feels like alot of wasted space in cargo area that is not lockable
especially for a "exploration" pirate ship
IIRC they have talked about no api's till at least beta due to not wanting to maintain them and how low risk technically speaking setting it up will be later on.
Been away from the game for a few years but last time I checked I thought aphorite and dolvine were sold for only a couple hundred a unit?
Saw it in hurston
That's the price for one SCU of those. 100 gems iirc
I thought they only sold for around 130 ish a piece which would come out at 13k ish for 100??
Or did they update the prices to make it easier?
About time
I'd rather it stay in game
In game mods, apps on your mobile for example
Inflation even hit SC 😆
where can i sell weevil eggs at
hur l4 or 5
I think one of those places have a no questions asked terminal, but usually I see it sold at scrapyards
The value changes depending on if its SCU form or just gem form (SCU form is ment to be the processed format)
Cru L4 and L5.
cheers
These can only be sold at scrap yards. The NQA terminals won't buy them.
So just to be clear... The Hull C cargo grid can't be seen at TDD?
This ert cargo is crazy, bought a carrack last night, down to 200k aUEC left, just did 3 erts, back up to 10 mil, it's gonna hurt when they get merged 🤣
Nerfed*
Or they could make ERTs actually challenging and require multiple people or supremely good pilot skill to succeed thus making the cargo rewards warranted.
maelstrom UI
once implemented, armor will actually play a role+dps output/Time To Kill will change
That would make more sense to me than nerfing the cargo
Fair point, absolutely agree with you on that
Not sure but doesnt matter cause you cant " unload " the cargo
Where do I sell CM?
whats the best in your opinion?
Well Admin Centers the safest by a mile.
Hull C is fucked right now. Can't unload cargo
is there anything better then c2 for cargo other then ships that cost real money?
The C2 is kind of the best cargo ship.
The only ship with a higher capacity is the Hull C which is completely bugged.
how much is the hull c?
Don't buy it, it's bugged.
You can't dock at stations, and it's generally very impractical.
Also it costs 15 mil
It can't land on planets with its cargo spindles out which restricts what kind of trading you can do.
Up to you to decide if that's worth it.
how much to you make with it in 1 run i make like 2 mil with c2
also where do i buy hull c?
Lorville. And I don't know about money, I've never flown it myself. I just know it's really clunky to use.
kk ty
Are there anyother planets apart from Hurston that has the new outposts?? Yesterday tried to land at Rappel with my C2 and the frame rate went to crap...
I tried to buy at Astros Clearing on MT but the terminal was bugged.
I just tried on one of the Hurston ones but the terminals didn't work there which was why I was asking - Rappel on Hurston worked yesterday... Might have to go there again...
Nooooo. 30k with full.load of rmc, 1 min from landing
should be safe
I think theres 1 in MC called dunboro
Give it at least 15 minutes before you login again - Should be at the last station you stopped at with cargo...
can someone explain the terms for me? I think I understand full damage range & zero damage range, but instability / optimal charge rate / optimal charge size?
When mining, you charge the rock with energy. You want to give it enough energy to break apart, but not too much so it doesn't explode.
This is represented by the charging bar with the green and red zones. Green zone is the optimal charge window. Optimal charge size changes the size of this window.
For the rock to break apart, you have to maintain its energy in the green zone. The optimal charge rate makes it so you don't have to maintain as long.
🤞
ah okay, yea I've mined before so I'm familiar with the interface, just not the terms... so charge size = how much of the bar is green, and rate is how long you have to hold it there, and instability is how much the charge fluxes?
I think that's was instability is but I am not sure. Better have confirmation on this
okay, so do I just get the Hofstede-S2s or is 3360 output not enough power and need something liek the Kleln or hellx II?
Check pinned messages for more informations on mining heads and modules
Erkul isn't complete for mining
the mental gymnastics to do this..
It's a MOLE, get both. I run my MOLE with a Helix II and a Hofstede-S2. Best of both worlds
put like the hellx II in the center and 2x hofstede-S2s on the wings for people I don't trust?
Yeah. I run it solo so I only changed one of the side to Hofstede and didn't bother changing the other
does any ore in the game need the 4K output of the hellx?
Yeah
For big rocks, with stupid resistance.
Btw, let's move to #rock-and-stone because here isn't the place for it
oh sorry, didn't see that channel anywhere
Whew, wasnt showing up at first but received the ship and was able to sell it
🙂 Good... When it happens again don't claim your ship as it will not work if you do
I had 5 million worth in the SP area I tried to keep them nicely stacked but the higher we went the more jumbled up the crates got! Overall pretty stable which is cool!
guys, where do you sell cargo marked as "stolen goods"? my friend logged out and relied on me to sell the cargo
scrapyard, probably
maybe grim hex
I think there are terminals at cru l4/l5/both that have special terminals that'll take them
tried, doesn't work
also can't, still marked as stolen
haven't tried this one, but i already gave up
I find spam clicking all over the commodity your trying to sell when it says illegal item will finally give you the sell option
Any word on Hull-B? Enjoying Hull-A, I’m thinking Hull-B would be nice without being massive like Hull-C.
Wtf why?
I refunded the Hull C after it cost me a mil plus. It wouldn’t unload its cargo
Where are you trying to sell?
Can you put a 1 scu crate back in stations local inventory after you drag it onto your ship?
Yes
Thx @spare cloud !
Have an odd one here, 30k'd waited 15 mins, respawned me at GH, went to the asop and the c2 is stored at green imperial medical, any ideas what to do?
Reclaim it

Sad, 300 odd scu of slam in it
30K protection can be a bit weird, putting your ship in hospital inventory instead of the city. And there's nothing to do about it
Nightmare, first 30k in ages and it just so happens to be worth a few mil 🤣
Seraphim
Seraphim doesn't buy Iron. Fly down to Orison and go to the Trade and Development Division on cloudview platform
They're not going to fly down to Orison with a Hull C
Oh touche
I didnt look at the SCU amount
But it is possible to dock at orison though right?
Iron is 1 credit per scu? Why bother
It sell for approx 400 aUEC per SCU
Any item marked as cant sell shows as 1 credit
Im just getting back into trading (among other things) are the trade tools(such as sc-trade.tools) "useless" ?
No, but you should take what they show with care. Most of it is still mostly up to date, but can be wrong
tradetools is a very good tool
Thanks im glad to hear it, will save a LOT of time writing down prices and such each place xD
Aha
whats the best cargo for the c1 and what routes
Drugs, Jumptown -> Brio's
It's a bit small for lawful stuff, but if you want, you can run Gold
What's the best gold route?
this probably
thx
Man i loot 300scu of Widow and i can sell more than 20 at a time
Suffering from sucsess
Try to other locations. No questions asked terminals are a bad place to sell big volumes of drugs
Am at GH
