No
any stations that take quant?
TDD
Two nice purchases of Gold got the cargo grid failed error both at Orison and MT. The secondary cargo of Aluminum sold fine. DO NOT BUY GOLD IT IS GLITCHED. I'm going broke.
I would say Devlins and Orinth may be safer whatever you do be ready to fly away as fast as you can.
Do cargo salvage in an A2, clear the site yourself.
Yeah I've been bombing salvage yards lately.
na i just go in a c2 but sell at grimhex instead
only picking up quant and mase tho
I just can't resist 2-4 32-crates of SLAM, though.
where do i sell neon now?
Maze > slam > widow > etam > neon > alt
So I looted 400 SCU of NEON over many salvage trips into my Hercules C2. I went to BRIOS and it was no demand, waited a bit, sold like 100 SCU? Then someone suggested grimhex, but it was out of stock, i wait 8 minutes, and I can only sell 6 when it refreshes.
At this point I might just self destruct and never touch neon again? I didn't even make that much from the 100
and where can I sell Maze?
BRIOS / GRIMHEX and maybe others CON
I like BRIOS cuz apparently GRIMHEX can barely buy any at a time
brios is hot on my server rn, and I'm having the same issue with GHex
There is one salvage yard at Wala and one at Eutrepe
What worked on my other run (I am still new at this) was I found two guys and offered them each 400,000 to escort me. IDK if they just RP or if they actually viable but they accepted and each flew alongside my C2 to brios and I sold 12m worth of stuff.
Way less people there, because they are far away from salvage sites
I then died right after, after they died too from an attack from above but i got the sale out
Yo thank you TripleNipple!
Do all salvage yards purchase the same items / same stock recharge rate?
Each of them has its own stock, but shared between the servers.
So if Brio is full it does not mean that other ones are also full.
Yes
What would u say is safest
From my experience the one around Microtech
That would also be logical, cause it is far away from any salvage missions atm. But even there I have encountered pirates.
Hurston also has a salvage yard.
has the hull c been fixed after the last 3 patches or nah?
Yea I just got killed there lol.
hey uhhhh
anyone having this issue?
retrieved the hull C and it got summoned into a hanger
anyone sell the maze from jumptown? only want 20k each not 90k...
if jumptowns on accept the mission and take it wherever jt is
it still accepts scu boxes as maze from jt
where is the safest place to sell my drug cargo I seized on pirate ships ?
depends what it is
if its maze and jumptowns up accept the jt mission and sell it at the jt turn in place
Anyone looking for crew for salavage misions?
ok sorry!
Np ❤️
Is cargo fixed now?, heard it's dead rn
I am watching a video about the constellation Taurus and the guy say there is a shielded cargo area for your "stuff". I am assuming this area means anything inside of it is protected from a scan? So you can keep drugs in there safely
@ivory heart I do believe these personal 30k salvage missions with the hercules ships are the best way to make money at the moment?
IDK if it counts as cargo mission because it's a salvage mission but I aint doin any salvaging lol
know whare i could rent one?
What I mean is you accept the missions that are to salvage a hercules. You can use whatever ship you want that can haul cargo but yeah I guess the c2 is the meta for that and you can't rent it you have to buy it at orison
just shy of 5m and then upgrade the QD at cousin crows nearby to it.
so the hurculies salvage misions dont need a salvage ship?
The way to make money with salvage missions currently is by not salvaging. You only take the cargo that's inside and worth millions. Usually drugs
oh thanks!
That's probably the section E of the ship. Only 6 SCU tho
thanks, wahre would i sell the ilegal cargo?

thanks alot for all the info!
Have they fixed the cargo buggyness?
how many 32 scu crates can u fit in the msr if any
MSR can't fit 32 scu boxes on its grid, but I think It can fit 2 or 4 off grid.
where can i sell A2 boms?
Nowhere
and vechile weapons?
In ship weapon shops.
so guns yes, boms no?
Yes
ok, thx
Well it's not lost 🤷
It's so easy to find these days so it's just not even bothering me anymore. I lost 16mil in weevil eggs the other day due to the cargo thing where some cargo was somehow touching the top of one small weevil egg box, so the entire stash got "deleted". Then I lost another 8-9mil of cargo last night when a NPC m50 rammed my A2, and apparently that thing is a S9 torpedo because the A2 just immediately imploded.
how do I take parts from other ships? I just destroy the ship, get out, use multitool with tractor beam and drag it into my ships hanger?
Yeah, basically
and when I get to a station how do I deposit them into my station storage?
You don't, you just go to a ship weapon/component store and select your ship inventory
And sell
ohh ok, or swap out the parts i found with my parts if their better?
whats a good station for a ship store
Place where there's a Dumper's Depot are best afaik. You can search for this here !itemfinder ⬇️
Use the website to search for any item (and where to buy them) in-game.
is it possible to move large cargo boxes from one hangar to another? ship blew up in a bay but had cargo
like large that they dont fit in the elevator
Afaik tractor beam doesn't work in armistice zone anymore, so I'd say no. Worth the try, but that's your only hope
It works in the hangers but limited areas and u cant move them past certain areas..
Since the hangar doors were glitched and blew up my ship, didn’t have the ability to open the doors or anythinng so
That's your only hope so gl with this
Bye bye 300scu of quant

Is is possible to sell Quant, I haven't been able to for whatever reason
if you feel spicy can try to scoop it with another ship but odds are will end in kaboom
that shielded section doesn't work against scans yet. It's intended to be that way but doesn't work currently
put all that cargo in the shielded area and you know some goober will have something in his pocket that fails the scan lol
Are you asking for assistance with buying the C2 or are you wondering how good it is for collecting salvage?
I tried the C2 for salvage missions last night. It's alright. Cargo space is overkill since you really shouldn't be filling it to the brim before selling. What really matters to me honestly is the time it takes to get in and out of the ship, and the C2 is a big boy so it takes a bit. What I think would be better is a ship that can take 3 or 4 32 scu boxes (those are the big ones right?) I'm not familiar with the freelancer Max but it might be a bit more manageable.
i can put container of 32 scu in caterpillarr? because i don't see the placeholder hologram
You can only fit 32 SCU containers in the nose part of the cat, and not on the grid. Off grid only
who wana do some cargo with me (salvage missions)
kk
Connie Taurus has room for 2x 32SCU crates on grid, and 2 more stacked on top of that with some creative manipulation. The Corsair will fit 3x 32 SCU crates snuggly off grid. The Max only fits 2x 32 SCU crates total.
Have to be careful with the Corsair, one of those tries to snap and you have a cargo catastrophe lol
do we know if sc trade tool is still accurate
It still the most accurate you can find, except now it can only be crowdsourced, sooo 🤷
last time i tried i wasted my money lol
tradetools isn't perfectly accurate anymore but surely accurate enough so you don't waste money
ok nice
I need something that tradetools has been unable to give me,
Hell, even Google is buried with useless answers that don't meet the criteria, and it's a pretty low bar to meet.
I need, specifically, a list of commodities that consists of only two items,
- The commodity
- The value
In descending order, from most expensive, to least.
If ANYTHING ELSE is included outside of these two items, it does not qualify.
I don't care where it's sold or bought, those I can research later. I need this to streamline what I grab when I'm salvaging and what I leave behind.
I don't care about anything outside of, what is it, and how much does it cost relative to the others, in a list format.
Go make one?
I'm halfway considering it, but the current information formats for it are even still spattered across the walls in such a convoluted fashion that it would take quite a while.
A piece of paper, two colons. You loot cargo, look prices on tradetools and note the prices per SCU for each commodity. There's not dozens of commodities in these, it only takes a few run 🤷
It's a lot of information to parse when you're on a time limit, and it doesn't necessarily structure that information in a way that's easy to navigate quickly. Sometimes just a list of items and rough sale averages can go a long way to understanding which cargo to beeline for and which cargo to leave behind.
If I have to side-scroll through fifty columns of 'not sold/bought here' to find one number, it's a bit too much in a time crunch.
Anyway, I found a website that does what I need.
You literally just have to type the name of the commodity in trade tools to know its price
That is ?
It's reduced the information enough that I can easily parse it.
And what is the site ?
That was the question
The list is still four items wide, but that's more managable to read in a hurry compared to fifty.

Ah gallog, the most outdated website there is about SC. I guess it's not a big deal since all site aren't perfectly up to date anymore
It doesn't have to be up to date. I'm not looking for exact figures, just general ballpark estimations and/or averages.
A downward list that shows me items of value from most profitable to least.
In any environment where the only items available for trade were extremely valuable gold and extremely useless cancer tumors, I'd want the list to show like below
- Extremely useless tumor meat = 1 credit per unit```
Anyway... I've got a bunch of useless junk to kick out of my cargo bay now.
I mean that's how we make our own. It's part of the game. Trade secrets really
Is beryl still the meta for trading or not anymore?
Every hauler is now doing risky salvage. If you want to keep trading, I think the gold route is probably free now, since everyone is selling their shit in scraps yards and pirates migrated to scrap yards too.
Cool! Yeah I did risky salvage over the weekend. I'll be honest though, I only hit the 10mil maze jackpot once. All the other runs were in the 1mil +/- 100k between drugs and quant. Between the time spent hopping around, waiting for a mission, security scans by the Navy it just feels less worth than the steady money from hauling
Hey guys where to sell NEON?
The 1mil+/-100k id already a lot.
And you don't have to buy the cargo first, thus you're not risking your money
Try one of 4 Salvage yards...
Yes its more time consuming but way more fun or interesting and profitable. My best finds in one ship was 2 million. I have cut down time by basing out of Mic L1 and parking the ship better. Will keep at this until nerfed way back.
Anyone know how long jumptown is going on for?
Does jettison cargo only work for mining ships, or can you use this feature with illicit cargo haulers as well - if so, which ones?
Yeah, only mining ships afaik, and only when you have quant in it
Have the cargo stacking bugs been fixed when selling cargo?
Haven't heard of a fix yet
Ok - thanks, haven't played since losing half a mil in cargo because of this so -- gonna stay off
can just only stack same type of stuff together ^^
Is cargo fixed yet?
I just wana go in and mine lol. And not have to worry about whats stacked on what
Try it in the Hotfix version, but I'm pretty sure progress in here won't be saved, so 🤷
just gonna wait for all clear
Does the 600i currently have cargo snapping?
it did prepatch. I lost mine when 3.20 hit live servers
it had a bug though where some of the grid spots would not sell so you'd load up 40 scu of cargo then get to a location to sell it and it would only sell like 32 and you would have to go into the cargo hold and move the boxes around then they would sell. I doubt that was fixed
I don't think anything cargo related was actually fixed in this patch. Just bigger sized boxes so the pirates don't take as long to move your cargo to their ship
oh and stacking bugs still persist. I have not run into it because I don't buy mixed cargo typically
I did top off a load with some filler but I sold the filler first and it was fine
Yes, on the cargo elevator. I get 600i ships in ERTs and VHRTs all the time with cargo in the hold.
just lost 600k auec in cargo because of a crash
siiiiick
Hey quick question how much can you make from a full load on the Hull C
And what is a good trade route for it
That's all the route available with a Hull C
About the Hull C...
The most recent patch notes mention a Workaround on how to undock a loaded Hull C.
Workarounds: First, If the Hull-C has cargo as part of the end of the flow, try and request detach via the Cargo center rather than regular ATC.
Now, what I've tried was, instead of calling ATC, I called cargo services, which didn't work. Is this what the workaround suggests or is there a secret panel inside the actual Cargo Center on the station I missed? Or does this only work, when I have not tried anything else? Would calling ATC before, having another player pilot my ship or storing the ship and retrieving it again break the workaround?
Sorry for the Statbot-message below, how can I delete it again?
It seems to work better if you have cargo business to take care of, either buying or selling. I had success buying one scu of cargo simply to get my ship free. You don't have to show up and actually pay for it. If I was trying to haul cargo now I'd only get 4607 scu. I'd leave one empty on purpose so I could try and miniplate cargo center to letting me off the docking port if I got stuck at a place I couldn't sell my cargo too.
Thanks, that works. Seems like the most crucial part of the workaround was left out in the patch notes.
anyone still having issues with cargo transfer with the hull-c after the hotfix? any work arounds maybe
Is the Hull C working yet?

Hull C ?
The bulk of normal trade goods are sold at the main planet's TDD terminals.
my Cargo is showing up as this too now
its salvaged cargo so that might have affected it somehow?
if you stack different types of cargo it causes this error and it disapears. when selling (ie stacking maze on top of etam).
How is cargo hauling going using hull c? I lost 900k because of bugs and could pickup load after buying cargo.... is it worth trying now or needs more work?
hull c its avaliable t obuy ingame?
Nope
Anyone know why I can't sell maze at Orinth reclaimation / disposal?
But nothing was stacked this time
Also the cargo doesn't seem to have been disappeared either, just got the error boxes
No demand ? maybe
its still messed up today
it said success this time though?
its showing as still on my ship but not in a way that I can sell it, but I did get the money so hopefully its not clogging up my ship now
Isnt cargonhandling apsolutely fucked in general in 3.20 patch?
As long as you don’t stack dissimilar cargo types, or pay attention to sell order if you do, cargo seems to working fine in my experience
well the buy terminals are also bugged- like you can't buy all of a commodity if it is less than the capacity of your ship
you have to buy all but 1
which then bugs it out to buy any more for some period of time
even if another tick occurs and adds quantity to the terminal
is the hull B available yet?
Just the Hull A and C
Hey guys…where to sell recycled material?
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
Gearing up a C2 for trading and such. I feel like the Impulse is in the right spot efficiency/speedwise? Or is just getting the TS-2 the way to go even with how much fuel it burns?
If all you're doing is going to inert ships with cargo to steal, then the TS-2 is the only upgrade worth bothering. My preference is to run a hercules for ERTs and steal cargo from those ships instead - higher risk / reward - which means I also snag the FR-86 upgrades and slap S5 cannons on the main guns.
BTW, you're coming in pretty late to this game loop and don't be surprised if the salvage money printer gets shut down relatively soon.
I'm planning on hauling cargo, not salvage, (though I will do some of that) ended up going for the Pontes, more efficient then the ts-2 but about 3 minutes faster arccorp-microtech times then the next slower drive. TS-2 is only about 30-40 seconds faster on that trip, but way more fuel consumption
Talk about a NICE QoL improvement
i have a bug where boxes dont snap to the grid. will i still be able to sell it?
You can sell whatever is in the ship
I carry way more than the A2 has a grid to support and sell it all without issue.
also, where is the best place to sell salvaged quantanium
Orison i guess
Is the Drake Caterpillar supposed to be able to fit the really long cargo boxes or just the next size down?
Or is it a bug that they won't snap in on the cargo grid?
They can either fit in the nose but won't lock down, or sideways in the other compartments, but won't lock down. None of its grids are technically large enough for them.
I figured as much
I don't know if it was fixed before going to live, but in the 3.20 PTU selling stuff not locked to its grids wouldn't pay you.
We decided to use the C2 for the large Maze cargo boxes and my Caterpillar for all the smaller stuff
Ended up making about 60 mil today
Did 5 runs in my C2, hit a ship that had 236 Quant in it, and one with Maze and E'tam that sold for 8.9mil
where can i sell maze other than grim?
Any salvage yard (Brio's, R&D Orinth, Samson & Son's, Devlin), CRU-L4 or L5 NQA terminals
Anyone know if you can stuff a 32 SCU cargo box inside a valk?
For those curious, you can fit 3 side by side and still have room enough for a hallway to walk to the back ramp.
Best guns for the C2? To ward off dem pirates 😂

How is the Hull-C functioning now? Any better with docking/undocking and actually loading / selling cargo fairly well? Havent tried my hull-c out much since it was having some bugs on launch.
how can you open someone else their ship?
Shoot the door
Use ballistics if the shields are up
i shot 6 mags of a p4 on the door of a c2, didn't open
Strange, that usually works
Keep shooting, if it's not opened it's not enough
You can also use your fists
does the cutting tool of the multitool even work?
No idea
is their a way to see how much scu every size container is?
Know the sizes. It's pretty easy, 1 SCU little box, 2 SCU little bar, 8 SCU big box, 16 SCU medium bar, 32 SCU huge bar
thx
Is qauntanium the best ore/cargo in the game?
I saw Jack Axton reading the numbers on the crates...
best ore / defo not best cargo ;)
Just coming back. Does sc-trade.tools not work for hull c??
in short there is no way to longer datamine the game for the info, erkul also has this issue. Erkul is still running by slowly and manually updating its stuff bit by bit
Hull C can only trade on these routes so doesn't really matter
which is the most expensive one?
Prices are on the pic
also, do these stations literally only buy that stuff? or can i find random metals in ships and take them to the stations to sell them?
wheres that website where i can view this stuff
!tradetools ⬇️ but it isn't really up to date for Hull C trading

I saw people asking about boxes being stuck to cargo grid but found no fix
I have the same problem
Are they stuck to cargo grid in your own ship? Can you walk through them (ghost cargo)?
they were actually not there so I placed cargo over those crates and when I tried to sell the cargo it bugged all and I got no money at all
Anyone know if the Taurus/Andromeda can take 32scu containers?
Taurus can take 4 of it and still have lot of space. Andromeda probably only 2
Stack them? I couldn’t get more than 2x32 last time I tried
Wasn’t able to get it up and over. Thought it was gonna blow up.
Yeah Taurus 2x 32 side by side and 2x32 above
Hey guys i have a question where did i can sell gasping weevil egg cargo i found and how many i can get by scu?
Salvage yards
I think they're 110k/scu
Shit damn
A specific salvage yard or any of them works ?
The salvage yard is the place where you can sell drugs too ?
There are salvage yards on daymar and hurston, are there any in mT?
There are salvage yards in every system. MT has one on eutepre and Arc has one on Wala.
This is a couple days late lol but you can use your ship to shoot doors open too.
Not if it's blown up. Had that happen to me in Vanguard Harbinger against lots of enemiesm
1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 32
Never saw a 4 SCU container yet
I haven't either.. I wasn't sure if it was accurate because of that
but the others are right
32 is arguably too big for most ships that don't start with C and end with 2 (and hullc obv)
I had to wedge one into a MSR
Many ships fit many 32SCU containers off grid
Corsair fits 3x, Taurus 4x, A2/M2 fits dozens of it
Valk fits 3 and 890 surely fits some of it
I'd argue that constitues 'a few ships fit...' There are many cargo focused ships that you'd have them hanging out the back like you just bought a TV at Best Buy and brought a Kia Forte to take it home
I started out using a MSR to do the salvage missions and quickly found that it was not up to the task despite having 114 scu of space.. just not arranged to be able to handle the big boys.. if you get more than 1 or 2, you'll have a hard time
They sure do not fit everywhere. But there are some more I didn't listed and that's sure many more than just C2 and Hull C, thankfully
Hull C doing ERTs and selling at Brio
why not.. at least doing ERTs may work
loading the cargo and undocking.. not so much
Not having ever seen the entry mechanics for the Hull C, I am wondering what would happen if you brought a Hull C into the armistice zone or trading zone for a station / salvage yard, and had someone in say a Pisces, pull up to your docking port so you could be shuttled down to the trading terminal, if it would allow you to buy/sell. I've done this very thing in a Carrack solo, but because the Hull C has no snub and no place to store a ship, you'd need a buddy to assist (or the confidence to suicide, and fly back from the nearest station).
Similarly, then bring your cargo into say Orison's ATC area where it's close enough to be considered in the trading zone, and then either suicide to end up at the medbay on Orison, and walk to the TDD - if it would recognize your ship for trading.
Which is effectively what people do every day by landing outside the MT TDD instead of docking in the hangar.
I think the issue is that the cargo you can buy with it is only at the stations.. unless you do the same thing at outposts to buy cargo.. but then you run into not enough supply to fill the ship
Potentially, but if you had a buddy trailing you in the shuttle, I bet you could fill up a Hull C with beryl by hitting up 3 or 4 mining stations, then drop by your TDD area.
Unlikely to do something as high demand as Gold where the supply is hyper limited.
It turns into a 2-man trading crew operating a snub with a QT and the cargo ship.
I once asked someone if they could get impounded above a city with their HullC loaded and sell in the TDD but they never @ed me about it anymore
I mean if anyone has a Hull C and wants to do some testing, I can volunteer to be a shuttle pilot for science.
as long as you aren't blocking a hangar area, I can see that working
Can you load up the Hull A at a mining station? It has the same spindle system, no?
Yesn't. Hull C is the only one that has a loading timer. With a loading bar : |
Hull A is just like other ships, cargo magically and instantly appears in your ship when you buy it
Not sure how Hull C would work when trying to buy anywhere else than at the 4 stations
Hrmm, I guess it's detecting the ship being loaded then?
Because you can have an 890j at a docking port and probably load up "instantly"
Iirc someone here was able to load their HullC with their refined ore at a L1 station, but that's also a station so idk what it's worth.
ya not sure the C could get loaded from an outpost because of its unique loading system and the fact that they didn't put that system in the outposts (other than the variable container sizes)
Who do we recruit for this testing effort
ya I don't own one.. I don't buy ships until I can put my virtual ass in them
and $500 when it doesn't work is a non starter
I mean, if you could 2-man it and make it a cargo crew ship with a shuttle, even clunky, it gets more viable.
tbh it probably needed to wait for 3.21 or further to be better refined
if u can load from outposts, that turns into a new profit proposition
How much profit can you make off a Hull C?
with how much of a down payment?
It is only available via pledge.
not what i meant
2299*4096
ah ok
Yeah, people were saying you have to risk a massive amount for a paltry gain, and any potential crash, pirate experience, whatever, causing you to lose your Hull-C cargo will take like 300 runs to recoup.
While a C2 makes the same or more, but can recoup a loss in maybe a dozen runs.
tbh, this is the reason I don't buy a C2..
it holds more of my money in the cargo hold than I am comfortable losing in a single run
That's why I don't like that we own the cargo we transport. It doesn't even make sense. Most companies don't own the ships they use to transport their products, they pay for their services. Haulers in SC should be just like this
I would mind a pirate encounter a lot less if I was not out not only the seed money for the cargo but also the profit.
just losing the profit without shelling out my own money for the cargo would still suck but at least not be as one sided
all of the latest cargo updates lately have really benefited pirates way more than it has haulers
Me and a friend are trying to load a hull c with cargo and my friend can't get the terminal to take the money and get the cargo ready is there a specific way to get it to work? We know we have to use the terminal then hail the cargo system and wait in a box while it loads but its not even letting us buy the cargo
Can't buy sell if there's someone inside the ship
That's why people do own the co.pany though. More risk more reward. But certainly should be a choice
It's been fine for me. Ran into a 150+SCU of Widow late last night?
since the update for f8c
not before
Yup, last night my time (U.S. West) was after the update. We got our golden tickets and then did cargo specifically to look for a nerf.
hmm, we did 2 c2s and 1 m2 and got fuckall
and my friend who does it wayyy more said he's had nothing decent all day
infact 1 of the c2 and the m2 literally had nothing at all inside
Dude, we had that exact thing happen around a week ago. Something like 15 straight ships with dogshit in them (oooh, yay, corundum). We were convinced there was a nerf but it was RNG just giving it to us hard.
fuck... maybe we need to go again
I mean, at least people arnt finding 172 PCU of maze once every 20 ships?
Is the cargo bug fixed yet, the one where an error occures when selling but cargo is gone but nog money
Do ERTs instead. 4 potential ships with loot and you can even get 3x hercs. Just make sure you soft death them so the cargo remains intact
what cargo we talking mate, (type, scu ect)
I've looted 19mil in weevil eggs from a single ERT. I've had 180 SCU of MAZE. You get the same loot as salvage x 4 ships, but it requires a touch of skill to defeat them without blowing them up completely or getting yourself blown up. You can also run into combat ships with less loot like hammerhead and redeemers.
I do ERTs solo in a herc for this reason.
I see
ill take a look into this cheers mate
just got an f8c so why not

Use S5 fixed cannons or you'll lose the arms race. The F8C won't be able to haul the loot, and once the ERT ends getting back isn't possible unless you're going with a friend
For this reason I often try to eliminate the bounty target last.
So I have the option to leave and return. Also, destroyed ships get erased if you leave the area.
So best to gather what you can before you leave.

Hey I’ve got a question, is the probability of finding ships on salvage mission reduced this patch. I’ve noticed a huge decrease in the amount of ships and cargo.
What are ERTa
s
Ah ok I see
So u track the high risk ppl down, kill ‘em and then take their cargo
Not a bad return for a 20k MSR mission 🙂
what ie everyone doing that they are getting so much illegal cargo loot. and what does MSR or ERT or VHRTS mean?
MSR =Mercury Star Runner, meh cargo hauler with two more nonexistent gameloops to make it shine, data running and science.
ERT/V HRTs are bounty hunt tiers that pack A LOT of firepower individually, as well as very likely to have friends too. So you better have skillz, friends and lots of firepower on your own ship too.
As for cargo, recent patches made ships not disintegrate on death thus you can try raiding bounty hulk for some extra loots if you are lucky.
What would be a decent cargo ship for hauling. Looking towards IAE and melting ships I don’t need. I’ll have $474 available. I could get a c2 but I don’t know if the new changes mean the caterpillar maybe a better hauler with tractor beams. Also question of if maybe the Taurus is all I need and I don’t need the largest capacity ever.
Bigger means more cargo and thus, more money. C2 is currently the best and it's undebatable. Considering Ship tractor beams, Cat will probably be very practical, but it's good to note that this ship is incompatible with 32SCU containers.
Taurus might be the answer, but that's already 4 times less cargo than the C2.
Pretty much what Zorgh said. I intent to CCU my Connie Taurus into C2 by the end of IAE.
Can those 32 scu containers be moved with the hand tractor beam though? I don’t know how else the c2 could be loaded with them once all cargo has to be manually loaded
For now yes, but afaik it's not meant to be that way.
They let us do, because we don't have other options for now. But once ship tractor beams are a thing, this won't be possible anymore
And that's for next patch
Iirc, there will be a two hand tractor beam. Sort of bigger multi tool or idk what, but I'm not sure it'll be capable of moving 32SCU containers. Bigger containers than regular multi tool, but how big ? Idk
But I could just load a C2 with smaller boxes but it would just take longer. Hmm at least I have until IAE to decide what cargo ship to get
Yeah but will you get to chose the boxes you load in ? Idk
So what do you think then? I’ll have a c1 as a daily driver and for small stuff so maybe just go as big as I can get? Or maybe pledge a concept like a hull B?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Cat fits 32scu at least 10 of them
Cat fits like 2x 32 SCU containers, and only in the nose part. They also can"t snap on the grid
Does HULL C trading not work? I can't get ATC to respond to a cargo request to off load
Bought an in-game Hull-A. Someone have a chart of trade routes, etc? Tnx
Proof please.
It works sometimes but is very prone to bugs. There are lots of workarounds but I'm not familiar with them
Finally got a Taurus. Not much but time to do some trading
i run risky salvage 30k missions
Scanned a Carrack with 250scu of Maze, but in large containers. Had to pop it to try and get them out, but could only retrieve 40scu. Didn't go empty handed, but frustrating.
Hull-A bugged, can’t collapse spindle?
Might need repair
What is a good place to look at legal safe trade routes with a C2?

Safe ish then, not pirate hot spots
But cheers mate
Then just not the first route tradetool gives you
Did they fix the Bug where 2 different Cargo Containers Bug Out the sell Station and deleting your goods?
No, still a thing. Just be very careful of how you stack, if you do decide to stack.
but could i stack a 32 and 3 4scu quant boxes or willit bug too
That will usually work, but all depends on the quantity that is sold. If it tries to pull the 32 from the bottom and no room in the sale for the smaller on top, it will mess up the whole thing. So I will say should work, but just be aware of that.
Is it me, or Constellation Taurus got nerfed SCU wise?
Uhhh pretty sure it's still 174scu?
Why I had yhought it was 474 SCU?
Taurus has never been to 474 scu... and its not nerfed.
Yeah it was never that big. That's getting close to Caterpillar capacity.
How is the freelancer MAX? I'm thinking about getting but I'm not sure
Not bad. It's the ship I used a lot of the PTU testing the "salvage" missions. Big enough for a couple 32scu boxes plus more, and doesn't have the cockpit frame rate drop bug.
Thats what im looking for in a ship (doing salvage that is), can you fit much more cargo if there are 2x 32scu boxes?
2x32scu, you can still stack one more 1scu layer on top of them, and I think there is still a little room left on the grid as well.
The Taurus is also a good option, but it has the frame rate drop bug and can be really annoying to fly because of that.
And it has the cockpit beams issue
Wait what's the frame rate drop bug?
Several ships have a bug right now that causes severe frame rate drops while in the cockpit.
if I Want to get started with trading, should I get a freelancer, or Hull A with UEC
Hull A seems to have less capacity than a freelancer, and especially if I saved for a max. What's the advantage ofit
i think you get a bit more visibility with the Hull A from the cockpit compared to the freelancer
any other read advantage otherwise
like it looks cool
but the freelancer far as I can tell has the ability to defend itself
and my concern is a hull A just screams "shoot me"
Trading with anything smaller than a Freelancer MAX will be to trade drugs or have a little taste at cargo hauling. It's not worth it if you're tryna make money.
I wanna make fat stacks, yes
Freelancer max is a great starter for hauling, with an ok price, talking aUEC/SCU
Taurus is slightly more expensive, still talking aUEC/SCU, but will cover its buy price faster thanks to additional cargo. C2 is the cheapest aUEC/SCU, but gotta have 5mils to spend in a ship
Btw next patch should have ship tractor beam so Taurus will get a good bonus
Taurus is abit more yeah
is cargo hauling good consistant money
since it has the risk ofneeding to pony up the cash
Hauling is consistent, when there are no bugs
how common is piracy?
Depends on server, time of day in your continet timezones and if people from other regions are jumping servers.
Very common on the most rewarding and common trade routes
But ATM most pirates are around scrap yards like Brio's so trading gold is probably safer than ever
Did they fix the docking issues with the hull c? They didn't list it as fixed but they also removed it from the list of known issues.
does the constellation taurus have cargo capacity? It's listed as a medium freight/transport on RSI website, but the specs do not show how much cargo it can hold
About 174 scu...
What sorta trading can I do in the Taurus? I assume cheap bulk would not be as effective but is there a rarer commodity to trade? Been doing salvage so my trade knowledge is a little rusty
Stay away from brio thats all you need to know 🙂
Gold and beryl seem to be the ones you do for the Taurus I think
this is me but 32 scu of weevil eggs worth 25-30mill
the dev that made the in the wake mission probably wasnt aware you cant retrieve cargo from some of the carrack compartments even if you destroy it
Did they change the price of weevil eggs? I sold over 100SCU of weevil eggs in a single shipment and it was only 19mil in 3.20a (we're in 3.20b now).
Hiii can anyone tell me between Taurus or Andromeda wish one I should get for mutual use
Taurus has more cargo space.
One gunner turret
One tractor beam turret (not currently functional but soon(TM))
Andromeda has snub fighter/racer merlin
2 gunner turrets
For a solo player, the Taurus is more versatile since you wouldn't get much out of having more gun turrets, and you can stick a merlin in the cargo lol
The extra cargo also lets you use it for more profits when doing cargo runs!
I see so I guess I should just get Taurus then thank you so much for advice
No problem!
The snub docking thing on the andromeda is very cool (when it works)
Oh I think the andromeda may have more missiles but I can't remember
I'd probably lean Andromeda for multiplayer gameplay and Taurus for solo but they'd honestly be pretty fun for both either way (Andromeda would support 4 players and Taurus would currently support 2 ish)
Sounds like people have enough weevil eggs
Anyone else getting “cargo removal failed” when trying to sell cargo? I just lost out on about 2million worth of cargo.
You stacked two different types of cargo. Gotta play cargo tetris and make sure only the same cargo types are stacked.
If even 1 box of 12 has a different type of cargo mixed on top, you'll lose the entire load.
Omg. I didn’t know that. That makes sense now. @tall karma
I had stuff packed in all over the place
All different kinds of cargo
SO here's the thing- IF you stack cargo (and you can), you have to be aware of the order you bought so you can sell in that same order in reverse so that you sell from the top down
this has worked for me where I"ve bought mostly 1 commodity then supplement with something else to top it off
Is there any kind of Hull C Guide or rough how-to? I know the cargo loading procedure is a bit different for it.
CIG and many content creators have videos on that.
With cargo stacking, either sell in order you stacked, or like me, keep tabs of what is stacked on top of cargo, and sell from top to bottom.
how often does demand reset/change for commodities?
Just a note for the cargo fail bug, its not ALWAYS stacking cargo that causes it. I was in a reclaimer, 86 units of recycled salvage, none stacked (the cargo grid for them in the salvage processing room is only 1 high, physically cannot stack them) as well as not mixing any cargo of different types, as I only had the processed salvage. Still had a cargo removal fail that ate all my cargo and paid out nothing. I've seen fixes that suggest selling lower amounts like 1-2 first, then 4-5, slowly working up so if it DOES fail, you don't lose everything. Haven't tried it myself, but it was a suggested workaround
Between 2 and 20 minutes depending on the location and commodities afaik
Where can I sell mine in lyria
Anything you mined with a Prospector or a Mole can be sold in refineries, or you can refine it to sell it later at a better price. You'll need a cargo ship to carry your refined ores
Refineries are in every L1 and L2 points
In any admin office and mining outposts
Putting this on here bc it's commodity related:
If you stumble upon a but ton of maze, best place to sell it imo is CRU-L4's no questions asked terminal. Maze goes for 90k a pop, so sell 50-55 scu = 4.5 mil
Am I having terrible RNG or did they nerf risky salvage already? I did 5 30Ks in a row and all had under 32 SCU of anything worthwhile…
Pretty sure they have nerfed it at least once. You can still get a jackpot of Maze, it’s just not as common.
does anyone know where i can get Citadel-SE Core White as a drop, i did a drug bunker tonight and managed to get the white legs and arms and really like it, missing the chest
Same place. Sometimes boss has citadel core sometimes defiance core
ah ok, thank you zorgh for the update, i was there for 2 hours and managed to get 4 of the legs and arms, will do more tomorrow and try to get that chest
That’s what it felt like but couldn’t find anything in patch notes. I appreciate the help. o7
I haven’t found any big scores but I usually find stuff worth 500k-1 million in a couple ships.
Which system did you get it to drop in?
Hii guy do you know why this happened I’m still new to the miner
What's the smallest ship with a tractor beam?
315p is my guess
That’s weird. I haven’t seen that one before
I know if you stack mismatched cargo it will fail the transaction. But that’s a different error message
Yes because I was able to sell the first half but the second half it just didn’t work
I kinda want a hull C now ngl
but it's big, probably needs a crew of atleast 2-3. it's expensive to run and if I just did hauling the risk is much less than trading and risking your profit/investment but it probably earns a lot less
and you'd have to spend a lot of time loading the hull C
cuz paying NPCs would cut into your small profits if you're hauling and not risking much
but also hiring escorts would cut into your profits quite a bit to the point you're hardly making any from trading
so I really don't know
I also can't guarantee I can crew it unless it's Soloable easily
flying around as a space truck making money from delivering seems cool and a good way to have fun exploring but the loading up the huge amounts of cargo and/or risk might take it away from that
ship looks awesome tho especially the bridge having a captain's chair
which I doubt cuz it's huge, will probably need atleast a pilot, co pilot and an engineer. maybe a gunner. especially to help load it, crew is expensive tho too
are 30k salavge cargo farms still here?
Yes just get recertified and people still find big profits but that could chage overnight.
will probably get patched with 3.21, I found four 32scu maze boxes on a single starlifter 30k mission today. Sold it for 11.5 million
anyone know how much weevil eggs sell for?
so does this mean I have to wait for it to refresh or is this a bug?
How is cargo stored in ships? Can I just fill my cargo hold to the brim with boxes or is there a limit?
there are is a grid that boxes will snap to. if it doesnt snap you can run into the risk of 2 entities colliding and just exploding
Ah okay, thanks
not to say you cant still put it in there
star citizen be star citizening
sometimes
Did you salvage the RMC or find it or move it from someone else's salvage ship? You can only sell your own RMC to TDD. You have to sell to NQA if you stole or otherwise don't directly own RMC
That's not a bug but I hear also intended to be relaxed to include party members soon(tm)
Can we buy the Hull c in game yet
does 32scu cargo container can fit a constelation aquila cargo bay?
anyone else able to confirm that Iron is no longer sellable to Seraphim station?
Iron in the "Cannot Sell" section of left pane
Lost my reclaimer for the second time to an update. If I could keep that one ship that would be amazing
Currently touring around chrcking out all the 4 Hull C stations and the new gqte stations for commodity prices, ill get back to you when inget to seraphim
Yall know where to sell medical supplies with the Hull C? jst bought from Terra Jump point
nvm cargo isnt loading
thanks
You having problems with cargo loading in the new patch?
yeah I did on my previous server
I joined a new server wiht only 16 ppl and was able to load attempting to sell some now
Damn, I was going to take out my hull C and do some large trading but...I won't if it's buggy
wouldnt recommend lol I so badly want this to work
Yeah...me too. Thanks for the heads up though
hull c still not working properly eh
it's working... reasonably well
the process itself is more the issue. Though the 'stuck to docking' bug is still ther apparently
the real issue I'm still seeing though is that profit margins just aren't there to make it worthwhile. Can make the same raw profit from a full C2 hold, with shorter routes
Is there an update hull c trading diagram floating around?
Not yet
question though, how have people figured out the max demand amounts? Like, how can you know prior to selling how much a station will buy?
the sell tab on the commodities console for almost everything right now lists 0 SCU, is that an indication it'll take any amount, or what? Cause some do have a number that's on the low side occasionally
aight, well, did some experimenting. Terra will sell as much medical supplies as you can buy, but Magna, at least, seems capped at 500 scu demand, thereabouts. Only took 440 which is a weird number. Guess i'll check the other stations as I go
Are we still fighting the cargo transaction failed issue?
Since other players use c2 for bounty hunting THEN hauling their cargo, is the caterpillar also just as effective?
Not as nimble, but people don't use C2 for BH, at least, not solo.
I see thats good to know ill be using my taurus
Oh yeah, just don't pick low valuables to keep space for big ones
Gotcha thanks alot
Also quick question @spare cloud is it worth doing hrt with the taurus? I wonder if their cargo is decent
VHRTs are easy and have good cargo. HRTs doesn't really have good cargo ships
Taurus can easily do ERTs
Ok ill have to bring it up and thats good to know it can do ert very well
My C2 has all sorts of issues, fuel levels not showing, F4 key not working, middle mouse Vel not working. Had to return the ship to port.
So they fixed the hull C cargo bugs but now docking ports won't extend when pulling one out of storage lol.
What!? Man I use a C2 for erts the entire 3.20 patch. Just put S5s on the pilot gun. It kills everything and then you haul away the cargo.
250mil farmed off ERT / VHRT bounties in my herc solo.
I love Zorgh, he is super helpful, but his info on the C2 for ERTs is not accurate here. The C2 has 2x S5 hard points and does ERTs just fine. It's A tier for ERTs, while connie is S tier. You can easily solo all the bounty tiers in a Hercules with S5 laser cannons and then have room for all cargo. Don't take a Connie. When you kill that jackpot ship with 280 SCU of Maze, you'll be sadface
Also, suuuuuper important - DO NOT FULL DEATH THE SHIP. If you want the cargo, you'll destroy 60% or more of you fully kill the ship. Soft death only.
Oh yeah it's two S5 hardpoints, not 2 S4.
I would still argue that it's not a good ship for ERTs but yeah, at least it's doable with this
A tier, not S
Though I'd also argue that the reduced weaponry makes it less likely to accidentally destroy the ship.
It will hurt a greedy heart to see those phantom green 32 scu crates of weevil eggs that would have been on your cargo ship if not for lack of trigger discipline
It definitely takes a lot more effort if you hunt the ERT in atmo to either drag it into zero g, or bring it low enough that it doesn't explode on impact.
Thanks i might invest in a c2
So space bounty is the best?
I wanna use the caterpillar because of the tractor beam for that reason but im not sure if the weapons are good on it
Cat can't fit 32 SCU containers.
So that's already a big no for BHing
It can only fit 2 in the nose part, and not on the grid
And we still don't have ship tractor beams.
It can
But it doesnt snap
So therefore u CANT stack stuff on top of it
Wasted cargo space but can still load 32 scus
Yeah, 2 in the nose part, not on grid. What I said
Haven't tried myself, but last people who actually tried could only fit those in nose part, and two people who told me it fits everywhere didn't show a screenshot so for now, all I know is that it doesn't fit.
Also Cat is worse than C2 in every aspect there is, except for tractor beam, which doesn't exists yet.
Not just 2 on the nose.
U can fit 2 in each garage so a total of 160scu. I do apologize if Im misunderstanding your statement
Ill show when i get home
That's exactly what I'm saying. Still waiting for a proof.
Alright thanks
Anyway, even if Cat can fit those, C2 is, for now, still better in every aspect. So if you're not thinking about pledging it, no reason to go for Cat over C2 except for the look of it
Im sure thi sis asked often. but did they fix the cargo issue? having a hard time re reading chat rn lol to find the answer. allergies are making it hard to see all the words.
You can't do ERTs in a cat. It had insufficient weapons for the task. Dead set on cargo ship with a tractor beam (still not functional), you gotta go with taurus
But still no tractor
So I know people were having trouble undocking their hull c last patch. I decided to see how it would do this patch and I've had no issues undocking, I made one trip on it and then couldn't redock to the station I had already docked to to sell once? Didn't matter if I had everything lined up thing just wouldn't take
Ha e you tried just using autodock? Get eithin 20m and hold N, FAR easier and so far after about a dozen trips no issues yet
Hey been out for a while. Wanna do some hull c trading with my m8s. Any good / profitable routes? Idk which or if any of the old trade route tools are up to date.
This + Jump Points now.
No up to date graph yet
Thanks!
been puttering around and, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any greatly improved profits to be had. Still more economical to just do C2 runs with stuff like Beryl
if you could sell medical supplies in greater amounts then that'd be the option, but alas, that seems capped around 500 at the gate stations
I thought that wasn't the case at Terra JP ? #industrial-professions message
Terra will sell you a huge stack of it, but you'll only be able to offload in smaller chunks to other stations
also, I'm now locked out of the Hull C after pulling it from storage anyway it seems
it's the drug selling issue basically
Is it worth running cargo in a cutty to make a bit of cash?
With drugs, it's good enough
Is it an expensive buy in or pretty easy ? Only got like 200k at the minute
alright cool
if you run into that bug where you pull the Hull C out of storage and the docking collar to it isn't extended
you can still get into it directly from space via the station's unassigned pads if need be
workarounds, ho!
any work arounds for "vehicle must remain stationary" error
in the cargo loading areas I assume?
yeah, been trying to hold X but no dice. its just stuck waiting for the ship to be stationary
it doesn't tell you but there's actually an orientation you need to be in. Line yourself up with the station and it should work
I had this issue when I tried to use my sticks to fly into the loading area. Even though there wasn't any thrust displayed on the HUD my ship was moving very slowly in one direction. I turn engines off while waiting for cargo. If the ship is moving very slightly it will stop on its own without engines running.
no luck with alignment or turning engines off
it was the orientation that has so far always worked for me, got no other ideas, sorry
do you align parallel to the station or perpendicular?
parallel
like so
yeah, the original 4 stations are unchanged in their buy amounts for Medical Supplies
R I P
well, I guess I'll just leave the Hull C stored at Magnus for now
can't be bothered to try to offload 4k Medical Supplies right now lol
would have been nice to got a reworked shop amounts for the Hull C release -_-
I mean, technically they did, you can buy/sell basically all the Iron, processed food, copper, helium/hydrogen/etc
it's just that the margins on those are so low that the actual profit for a full hold isn't any better than just doing C2 runs with higher value commodities
yes
my hope is that when another system is in (pyro) there's a few routes that have higher margins, either for the low-value commodities, or options to sell higher margin items for more
hope so
also a change to the mechanics so a stop at a station doesn't require you to dock/undock twice just to sell and then buy, ugh
too tedius for the low margins currently
will be funny to see how much time it will take to do opposite side routes
mhm
and I really like the Hull C and the overall idea around it. Far more than I thought I would honestly
I actually CCUed to a Hull D, but the C's the loaner, heh
hehe
kinda crazy that the Hull series cargo amounts increase by a factor of 5 with each step
and honestly, I'm a little surprised the B/D/E aren't in yet since all the mechanics are there now
very similar hull sizes, just different engine layouts and spindle length
Not quite sure if any of them are even completed yet, model wise
The interiors for all of them are drastically different obvs
I don't see how they would be honestly, at least going off the concept images. If it tracks to the actual Hull-C that was released, the actual hulls fore and aft wouldn't have to be much different
looking forward for cargo gameplay, i can do cargo an entire days 😂
just that the engine layout increases in amount at the end
C has a lot more interior space compared to the B
I know, I mean more that the C thru E are more similar
the A/B are more unique by comparison
unless the designs have changed significantly for the larger 2 anyway
time will tell
In that sense, yeah
B has a leg issue

skipped leg day, eh?
haven't tried again in 3.21, is the loading/unloading less bugged ?
Hull B is going to be popular though imo
The biggest in the hull series that will be able to land on planetary outposts while extended
the only two issues I've run into have been getting the cargo loading area to pop up (sometimes need to redock and undock a couple times to trigger), and the issue where when you pull the Hull from storage the docking collar isn't extended
but you can get around the latter with a spacewalk and/or spawning a small fighter and leaving it at a pad for a ferry
Is that the idea? The concept art has a + spindle arrangement, is it still intended to land with them filled?
Or so I remember it being
Could have changed last time I saw / read about it
That'll be nice if so. Got a solid cargo amount for the price
it's really weird that Terra Gate sells Med Supplies in such huge quantities
considering no one buys much
might be a Pyro prep thing, hopefully
@spare cloud I dont have other 32 scu boxes except for this one but they are fit like this
2 can fit for each bay/garage unfortunately you cant stack stuff on it so here i am omw to buy a c2
huh
Do you fit a 2nd one just next to it ? This ladder isn't blocking it ?
where do i sell slam and neon
Fuck man
was doing some drug runs and was fighting pirate or smthn and we collided
So how much is Maze worth per SCU these days?
90k/scu I believe.
@spare cloud i couldnt find another 32 scu even if it saves my life lol so
ignore the comms and the bugs, I found a box with the same width and height as a 32 scu and u can see the ladder doesnt block it
where do you guys get your maze nowadays?
What’s the best route for the hull c and how do you make per run does anyone know?
the numbers might have shifted a little bit with the addition of the gate stations, so I don't have a best route just yet. Also, the prices are variable based on stock/demand so it can shift a bit
that said, I think the highest I tend to get is around 350k-400k profit per single trip
which makes C2 Beryl trips between moon and planet generally more profitable over time
I do have an excel doc I've put together which has the prices of all 7 stations it can trade at. May or may not be 100% accurate though, and the prices are as they were in my last trip there
also, I haven't been able to account for demand values aside from Medical Supplies (you can buy like 20k SCU at Terra, but you can't offload any more than 500 at a time at Magna, or any other even less). So far the best 'reliable' number I've come up with is around 370k on Distilled Spirits, from Terra gate to Pyro gate - haven't run it yet tho so I don't know how demand is on that commodity
guys is there a trade terminal in port seraphim?
Admin center, like all the other major stations
Galleria, again same on the 7 major stations (and I assume rest stops)
that said, it doesn't buy everything
and doesn't show there because it doesn't buy Agricium
Also, that site's a little out of date since the Seraphim trade terminal was IIRC added with Hull-C trading (since that's what it's mainly there for), and apparently it's hard to track data from it
as well as Tressler, Everus, Baijini, and the three new jump gate stations
Any scrap yard. See !tradetools ⬇️

Sc trade tools says that it’s still on ver 3.19.1?
ah, sadge
Maybe try https://uexcorp.space
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more

Won't be better. We can't datamine prices and items location anymore. That's the reason why tradetools says 3.19
I picked up 4 bombs from a salvage loot run anyone know where I sell those?
Ship weapon shop. Not worth more than 1.5k aUEC
can I be mining with the prospector and then selling the yields with a hull c?
after refining ofc
Afaik you can load refined ores on the Hull C but then you won't be able to land in a city.
so I cant be selling them at one of them space stations above the city?
that kinda sucks
I still have a C2 loaner for that ig
Yeah, space stations don't buy refined ores.
where's the second cheapest place to buy drugs?
Same price pretty much everywhere
ok, thank you
im thinking about buying a cargo ship for 32scu cargo. Which one would be the best? Freelancer max, constellation taurus or Drake Corsair?
taurus is hard to beat currently for its price vs utility. unless you want a huge amount of scu, or would be fine getting away with less for a specific style of ship, like 400i
can a taurus snatch a 32 scu? Or is it loosely?
oh right, you are asking about the big box, brain tired. I was thinking total scu
yes, yes, no worries 😅
I have no idea what ships fit the new big boxes easily tbh
Corsair can fit 3x 32 SCU not on grid and have room for 32 more SCU in smaller containers
Taurus can fit 2x 32 SCU on grid + 2x 32 SCU not on grid, and have room for 80 more SCU on grid and not on grid.
MAX is out of competition TBH.
so on grind you mean it snaps?
now the question, which one will be better?
i like old connies, but corsair is interesting
Taurus imo
what is the largest box n connie andromeda can have on grid
32SCU
k ty
trying to haul cargo in the hull-c is crazy-making. why do i keep doing this to myself
The RSI Zeus MkII CL has 8 more SCU than the Freelancer MAX
anybody know how to fix the cargo transfer at 0 bug?
what's the most profitable cargo run right now? I have MSR, C2 and Hull-C
I see SM0-18 is still crapping out gold, slowly
hauling cargo on a hull c is pretty much broken in the pu and ptu since 3.20 went live. It's pure luck if it works or not.
it's also, unfortunately, no more profitable than taking a Hull C and doing Beryl runs, at the moment
Where can i sell widow?
does the 400i have a cargo grid for the garage or no ?
i was going throuhg some reddit threads and a guy on there said you can press the max fill button or use the slider to max out, you can only type the amount if you want to fill it up to the max
@spare cloud what do you use on your taurus? stock rhinos with gimbals?
unless youre going after ERT's and maybe VHRT's, I would stick with the stock guns personally
Fav taurus loadout is S5 laser cannons w/ Rhinos. Turns out the gimbaled rhinos will adjust automatically to the target vector of the S5 fixed cannons, so you can hit the same target with a single PIP as long as you don't go into auto-gimbal aiming mode.
Yeah going up against VHRT and ERT
then go with what patchkid said
So youre still using the manual gimbals?
unfortunately you cant change the bottom two guns on the connie to fixed weapons, so you always have to have them gimballed
Is it true you can no longer sell cargo unless your ship is stored?
No
I just sold some commodities using my caterpillar and i didnt need to store it
Aight cool
Granted that all my cargo was manually placed by me. Im not sure if buying and selling cargo is a whole different thing where u need to store your ship. But, it wouldnt make much sense if that was the case
Well I am about to sell so I will see if it works
Alright do let me know if it works
I know i saw this information somewhere but who thought that storing before selling is a good idea
Thats great
What PatchKid said (#industrial-professions message) but with laser cannons on the 2 bottom slots too, so you can run fixed instead of gimballed, because IMO gimbals are just trash.
My Taurus loadout https://www.erkul.games/loadout/8B9OoFMW
Can't remove the gimbal, but don't have to use it, trash gimbals
What’s a good cargo ship I should aim for after Taurus?
A Caterpillar if you want a tractor beam (not functional yet) or C2, which is currently the best hauler there is, undebatable.
okay, ty
are we still forced to stack cargo in apropriate ways in order to be able to sell it ?
Yes
Appropriate ways? I throw cargo into non-grid areas of my ship all the time and sell no problem. If you mean mixing commodities vertically then you may fail to sell, but you can also sell successfully from top down if you mix them. Just requires knowing which commodities are on the top to sell 1st.
the idea is that the handheld tractors will have an upper limit to box size they can lift
so to load like, 16 and 32 SCU boxes, you'll need a tractor beam on your ship, or something like an SRV to help
Does it pull it in the ship?
we don't know yet, all we have is the handheld
I assume it'll work similarly, where you can control it basically
Be nice to just pull.in an entire wreck and scrap it
But ship is shaped more like a flat bed
Basically it's to replace the current hand held tractor. When ship tractor beams are out, hand held one will be nerfed to only carry up to 8SCU or smtg like this. And ship tractors will be able to carry 32 SCU containers
OK, yeah, Ita <> Hurston still the best $ over time in a C2, according to my numbers. Someday, maybe, the Hull C will get something nice...
when does cargo be in demand?
Stock updates every few minutes, if there's no demand, just wait a bit in front of the terminal
Between 5 to 15 minutes
i just server hopped lol
Stocks are shared across servers.
Would a Pisces be good enough for the small delivery packages in your alls opinion?
Oh yeah surely
Ok thank you. Wasnt sure if they ever entailed any ships that required SCU cargo
I just stacked cargo from salvage missions in all sorts of crazy configurations on my C2, basically filled it up and it sold fine at a couple No Questions Asked terminals.
Way too big to trade drugs. You're gonna spend a lot of time at buy location waiting for stocks to go up, buying 20/40 SCU every 5-10 minutes
Freelancer ?
Anything with 120 SCU or less. Mercury is a great drug runner cause it's fast. 400i too, but only 40 SCU
Ok no 400i. Mercury has shields too
400i has 5 times more shield HP than MSR
But Mercury (Mercedes) fast and gone faster
Alrighty thanks for that.
Not much faster than 400i, about 30m/s faster only
But 400i has only 40 SCU anyway
That's the only bad side of 400i, cargo hold
1250 // 1287 m/s
400i // MSR
The Interstellar Transport Guild is coming!!
I heard they update the cargo routes for the Hull C?
You can now trade with the jump point stations. That's all, and not a drastic change, just new meh buy locations
oh so there is no profit increase?
Nope
nope, the most you can make is still only equivalent to the best reliable, no-wait routes for the C2
so around 350k on average profit a trip. Stick with the C2 for now
agreed, C2 trading is best return on time for right now. Hull C is more a proof of concept at the moment, with its function just tacked on. Beryl still rules
going to take a little while to absorb all the info from this weekend. It was a crazy
is renting a free lancer worth it for trying trading
either it or the Connie Andromeda, both good options to try it out. And by good I mean the only options really, for renting, lol
BTW, if anyone needs a ship to haul ship components, the Hammerhead has a ton of inventory capacity, wow
i had a bug where the docking bridge wasnt extending when i would spawn my hull C. This was after purchasing cargo and i was on my way to grab it (1M in copper). I exhausted everything i could come up with and then gave up by just claiming my ship again.
Since my cargo was never picked up, am i just down 1M now?
possibly
but in the future, you can just spacewalk to the Hull-C
the stations all have the old-style pads you can go to
what I do is spawn a small fighter, land it at the pad, then spawn the Hull (since the pads don't count as landing spots for spawning ships, you won't have it stored0
then fly the fighter over to your hull and spacewalk to it. Get in through either door
having to spawn a smaller ship to EVA to my hull C is a RIP lool thank you
only have to when that bug happens
you could just spacewalk it instead, but that can be pretty far depending on the station
around 4k meters when it happened to me at bajini
yeah, exactly lol
Yall would be proud cargo haulers tonight. Showed up to a Wake of Disaster with our Org and this is what happend...
Loaded it up quick with the C and then met somewhere random with C2's to get it all sold. 34 mil. Fun night. Hope yall are having as much fun with her. GL HF
Passenger?
Damn hull c 4.6k scu Tf
And pretty useless… more risk then it’s worth. So buggy
Ah tbf if you lose cargo it’s gonna be because of a bug lol
Just spent 7.8m on cargo, and my hull c wouldn’t spawn connected to docking ring. My friend spawned a small ship so we could get to it… but then the cargo service wouldn’t communicate. Tried to redock and suddenly hull c disappeared leaving us in space!
After Eva back into the station, now the hull c is stuck in retrieving… 😂
If you don’t collect your cargo, you shouldn’t pay. Pretty shocking how long it’s been in this state now. Shouldn’t have been released with the current cargo mechanic.
I understand that this mechanic is basically a placeholder so i would even agree to the fact that it can bugs sometime... But for the love of god they should give players some sort of protection since loading up the C can be really costly. As you stated they could charge your aUEC only when load completes or charge instantly but make a check and if you don't have your ship loaded with all the cargo within X minutes the order get canceled and player can get a refund. At least they should give to any Hull C pledger a C2 as loaner to play the hauling loop because right now the ship is basically unusable.
Absolutely, couldn’t agree more. I ccu’d my c2 to the hull c, and regret it all the time. Never have I bought a ship and used it so little. Such a shame, as I love the ship. It’s beautiful, but useless to me currently.. and I have little belief it will get better soon
Yeah, that's for sure. I also wanted to try it but when it got released i wasn't ant home and then didn't apply the CCU because i read about those bugs. Bit of a shame tbh but i think it will get way better soon.
I have the CCU to a Hull C also but will wait until the gameplay has matured a little more. When reputation for trade arrives, it should work out good
thaaat sounds like Medical Supplies numbers! I hope not, because good luck offloading it
my Hull C currently has about... 6.5mil of MedSupplies left on it, waiting to be slowly offloaded at Magna...
I tired a search for the top 10 commodities but nothing showed up. Anyone know? Thx..
what, like, google? sc-trade.tools is one of the better sites, though it is a touch out of date. The top 10 will depend on what factors you go with
cause the easiest/quickest to trade (ie: no supply/demand limitations) is likely Beryl, but it won't get you as much profit as Gold/Drugs will
Commodities also depend on ship size and risk tolerance
anyone know how to put 1 scs box of cargo on RAFT?
RAFTs only take 32scu containers
huh strange i can put 3 2scu cargo box on the side 😄
but can't put 1scu box at any grid
Well, they're only supposed to take the big boxes, but I guess you are able to get some smaller box sizes to stick. It's not designed to though
if im going to try hauling in my c2, should i just look up some good trade routes or what do you guys do, never done it before and want to make easy money just trasnporting for a bit
still relevant for C2s
it's just missing the info for the stations that the Hull C can trade with
All the salvage yards do, if they are full you need to wait for an inventory refresh.
ok got it
I think they are on 16 minute timers.
Or maybe it was 16/minute. Usually I have to wait about 5 minutes to sell the rest.
ty
Thanks!! I know somewhere a year ago I saw a list of the top commodities. Anyway on my salvage cargo I have not found Vice yet but found a good haul of Bexalight which earned me 955K. But the Quartz and Corundum were not so good. Today I did pretty good with Taranite 400K. And I know Beryl, Gold and Agricium should be good also. When I get such a list will report back. Thanks!!
The top photo of the three is really really incredible!! Loud Guns at Frontier Consolidated would love to see that!!
anyone got he new hull c trading route?
so is slam the best thing to trade with a c2 and about 500k
or should i be doing something else
Beryl is the best profit over time I've found; Slam is more per trip, but good luck consistently selling it all without waiting around
pretty much all the commodities at the 7 stations will get you from 200k-350k per trip
I haven't tested it for demand SCU amounts, but Distilled Spirits from Terra Gate -> Pyro Gate is the highest lump sum I've found so far, and you can loop back with Iron as well. But, with the tedium involved I haven't dug too deeply
Hull F class
Titanium is a low risk higher yield option if you are starting out and have under 500k starting funds. It is about 250k per load and makes 100k profit with no wait times to buy or sell. Also you can do it completely within Hurston so no long quantum jumps.
After I have 1 million+ to fund trips I switch to Beryl
im thinking about doing that titanium run. do i need a big cargo ship? the biggest ship i have is the carrack. but id rather run something smaller and faster.
the bigger the cargo hold, the better the profits. Smaller just means more time required, so depending what else you have the Carrack might be best until you can buy a C2 in-verse
how much seed momey do i need? i have about 200k atm.
about 170k will cover a trip
Carrack would cost 165k to fill with 63k profit
pick it up on Arial, HDMS Lathan or Bezdek, and sell at Lorville
I wouldn’t do titanium in less than a carrack, not really worth the time. But it’s low risk because hardly any pirates are at those yards.
they do have armistice zones too, and in a Carrack you should be able to hit your QD before they can take you out even if you were attacked
Everyone having trouble buying iron on hull c at everus?
Never works for me. The rest of the runs seem good.
Also any commodities selling at the pyro jump point for the hull c?
Sorry I'm a bit daft. How did you get all of this and get it loaded up?
How many units in an scu?
It was a glitched wake of disaster. When we got there, it was 12 ships instead of the usual 4. I took my C because I didn’t feel like waiting for my C2 recall. Five of us loaded up 12 ships worth of cherry loot. They relogged once we were done and we all rallied with their C2’s to off load and sell the loot from the C. It worked great for getting loot on fast with out fussing with stacking because we knew that much loot would have to get spread out anyway to sell all of it. Really happened by chance and it turned out to be a lot of fun that night. Good org play.
Is Wake the only place that hides and eggs spawn? I haven't seen them for a LOOOOONG time. Other than people talking about the 1/8 sized packages at korea
i will never leave a crate of quantanium!!
The jump points have some good stocks of commodities for the hull c yes! Any tips to getting the hull c undocked successfully or making sure that cargo services let you collect the cargo?
May I ask your method and order you do things as every run I try I really struggle to get it to cooperate 😢
I rarely have trouble picking up. I pull completely into the space. Sometimes rotating will get things started.
Spindle out of course
Hold x to brake to a complete stop
is there any place to dock a hull c and sell things like neon etc? illegals
Where to buy slam and etam?
No, sorry
whats the taurus cargo capacity? not listed
174 scu
also anyone know if there’s like an ID guide for all the different lootable scu crates in NPC ships?
what do you mean by 'ID guide'? You can scan the ship from your own and see what cargo's in it, or find out what the box is when you target it with the multitool
to scan from your ship, press V to enter scan mode, then point your nose at the target and hold left click (or whatever your group 0 trigger is)
it takes a bit to get all the info, so hold it down
anyone know the best trade routes for hull C?
With the Jump Point stations too now, but basically this
Thanks, but mostly meant the undocking and requesting cargo pick up process. That seems to be my issue at the moment.
Do you first contact the station atc to undock? Or straight to cargo services?
And the same at the other end? You dock and store the ship to sell? Or leave it docked?
I request docking. Pull up to assigned. Auto dock. Goto admin and purchase. Go back to ship. Contact ATC a 2nd time (this undocks the ship). Float a bit away from the doc. Contact cargo atc. This sometimes takes multiple attempts on the last step to work.
I leave the ship docked whilst I sell... but I think most folks store it?
I'm no pro. Just what seems to usually work for me.
So what is the wait time on selling a full 250scu of widow at say Samson & Son. SC Trade tool says Max 250 SCU + 16/min. I sold that. waited 20 min and went back. still cant sell
Stay at the terminal while waiting. Stocks are cross server and it's possible someone sold while you weren't there
There is stock on drugs?
Yes
where can you sell drugs from wake of disaster (a lot of drugs)?
Is there a Cargo 101 summary somewhere? I don’t understand why someone would haul things like Helium when there are things like Beryl with higher margins.
Salvage yards like Brio’s, Samson and Sons but you might have to wait a bit to unload a full load
https://scunpacked.com/commodities good link to use
Available stock, cargo capacity of the ship you are using, and your trade route will be the biggest variables to which commodity to buy. If you're doing a rotation between three locations where you buy something from each and deliver it at the next it saves you some time vs. just doing a one way route over and over again.
Hope that helps
I think the available stock for some commodities is just constantly low so it is hard to buy/sell a full load even though the margins may be better than other commodities
Also other commodities may have a really low price but high margin so a full load may net you a large profit margin but low profit in total aUEC
Okay thank you @lapis musk . I’m only up to a Freelancer Max so far, so trying for gold, beryl, diamond etc. Is there a typical next step up from there?
Gold is your best profit per trip, but once you are into 400scu or more ships you will have a hard time filling it. Beryl is basically peak trading righr now
i had a c2 full of cargo and while in qt got a 30k, how can i keep everything? do i wait for my ship to show up somewhere
when i retire i wanna move to a remote land claim on microtech and just live my finals days out fueled by slam and maze
I have a Taurus and 560k, should I sell slam or just do gold? There’s no wait on gold but I miss out on ~70k on profits
tbf, you could always just do risky salvage missions as you can easily make a profit. However, doing gold for hauling isn't the best idea with only 560k, I would do beryl runs or do drugs.
What do you do in a risky salvage?
All the ships or most that have been destroyed have cargo inside like widow, maze and other cargo. It is very easy to make profit from the missions as to accept the missions it only costs 10-30k auec
So I just swipe the cargo?
yep, very easy to make money and barely anyone will contest you
so I'm at mining outpost 056 on arccorp and they have laranite but when I select my ship i can't buy it
anyone know why?
Someone was faster and got it when you were fumbling with ship/grid
no one was around :/
gotchu ty
Okay, I’ll try that Ty
I go 45 cause it always in stock
Maybe bit more expensive but I can get going asap
how much profit you making if you go to loreville?
Not sure, I think around 100k
I use Taurus
I ahve a rented andromeda and on sc tools it's like 60k profit, better than beryl atleast and less waiting time than on 56 so thanks for the tip
after this renting time is over im just gonna do more bounty mission with the f8, more fun atleast haha
Yh time is money
exactly
Everytime I try to haul gold its out of inventory
I wish CIG would put up more material. There is a reason very few casually trade. Seems like folks are either all in on trade or don't do it at all.
Anyone got a good beryl run to get started?
Tired of hull c bugs already haha
Gonna go back to cat/c2
Lyria at shubin SAL-5 is perfect for beryl, you can go to area 18, it's closer but make less or better to fly to loreville
bascially my go to and I assume for many others for beryl
never out of stock
Ty! Appreciate it m8.
anytime
Legal trade routes: Before all this salvage raiding kicked in my go to trade route with the C2 was Beryl from MT to Orison. The "investment" is high at close to 1.4 million but the bonus brings the profit up to 414 thousand. Try it out!!
What is the “bonus”?
Certain routes and materials offer a plus bonus of usually a small percent which I'm not totally versed on. But I do know THAT run or route is the biggest payout from a trade good that will normally fill a C2 without waiting at the terminal like Gold.
Nvm I'm dumb ty
I do gold from crusader to arcorp, Laranite from arc to hurst and beryl from hurst back to crusader
That way I can get gold semi consistently since it’s most profit
Thanks for sharing. I'm compiling some routes to try. I'll add this to my list!
