Don't store
Land in the hangar, make sure ATC recognizes that you landed and is closing the hangar (IMPORTANT), then leave it there and make the sale
I can help you out but trading in Beryl is the new Quant of trading. I have not messed with drugs trying to rehab my Spaceman outlook on life.
whtas the most consistent profitable route as of now?
id prefer consistency over the occasional gold mine as the last thing i want is nothing to be in stock
is it still laranite and titanium?
Whats the best trade route for a freelancer max
Drugs.
Microtech Beryl to Orison. Biggest bonuses check the stats...
Is there a ground that can fit in Titan and hold packages?
Only PTV and Nox can fit in the Titan
What resource
It's in the message already beryl

can you turn revenant tree pollen into aluciatoxin>
The trade run: SMO - 10 from Micro tech to Orison. I got burned there the ship did not store properly but here is something new I found out. Land like normal in the hanger. When the guy says "Landing complete" exit the ship to the terminals area but do not STORE the ship. Head to the TDD at top speed and make the sale. (If okay go back and store the ship...) Let us know what happens. Disclaimer: This is not the normal method of storing a ship use at your own risk...
A cool idea maybe in 2947 it might happen.
I've been avoiding Orison due to the impound bug, seems to only affect that place. Everywhere else has been fine
What is the benefit?
only reliable means of profit is bounties
this is exactly what i said?
i can't sell at the TDD until the ship is stored tho .. also, they seem to impound you if u just leave the ship in the hangar so either you need a wait a few mins at the TDD while you get impounded (then you can sell) but then u have to pay the fine or wait to get out of impound. so far i haven't had any issue with storing at Orison - just the usual issues where desync blows me up going in or out of the hangar doors occasionally. if the server feels laggy, i'll pick a different route without doors
Yes, that route is pretty well known as is the whole Beryl thing.
Hey thanks if you told us that my memory does not work very well at times. I am passing it on because I had a serious trade loss at Orison some days ago and was not familiar with that process. I didn't know Orison would impound a ship but I used that trick during Nine Tails.
Any good money to be made with a cutlass black?
Also is it worth trading with starting amount of 40k?
no
How do I fix the package being stuck in my hands
It won’t go into the receiver thing and I get open mobiglas without my picking up the package again
Try wiping your helmet.
For Alpha 3.19.1, the team rebalanced cargo generation within ships across various mission types, including salvage, assassination, and bounty hunting. This involved removing unsellable commodities and ensuring the profit fits the risk involved.
I get this a lot and it's terrible. If it happens, try dropping the box, grabbing it again, placing/dropping again, etc. Equipping something else like a bottle may assist you in dropping the box too. After fiddling with this a few times something will reset (you can tell, because the delivery package marker re-appears) and you can grab it normally again, to try to 'Place' it once more in the delivery machine
Well I can attest the impound trick. Didn’t want to do it and the hangers were not opening so I went to Lorville and I got stuck in my seat and my ship wouldn’t turn on. So lost 250k
if I am flying the ship of my buddy, can I also fill it's storage with trade cargo ?
or do the consoles only allow me to fill ships that I own ?
Yeah ATM you cannot sell cargo loaded onto a friends ship.
Maybe when they add the cargo decks in it'll be more possible.
I don't want to sell
I want to fill it for him so he can sell
so it's completely fine if I can't sell it aslong as I can buy it
I "invest" on friends that wants to make money running Beryl.
yean ? like I want to ? so it works ?
you can just give them money to go buy cargo, that's what I do
How tricky is hauling illicit cargo? From what I've found so far the profit per unit is great, but yea.
"Cargo missions" later for now we have Salvage missions. Check out that tab.
I can send you a cheat sheet if you want. It's expensive to buy these drugs and the supply can be limiting and the sites do not have a safe zone. Take your pick...
Gotcha. Just looking at projected profit rates on my spreadsheet and I could theoretically cut 100+ trips out from getting a bigger/better ship versus hauling legal cargo. 33 full loads is a lot less time than 145, lol.
What kind of cargo ship are you using? For instance a Cutty Black is "good" for drug running as you are not dealing with a high volume cargo. But in terms of filling a C2 that will take an extreme amount of risk and risk means a high cash loss if you fail. If you want to grind cargo and have a bigger ship (Free Max and above) I would say stick with Beryl. In 7 to 9 C2 runs with Beryl and no losses it can yield a million earned.
I am currently in an Aegis Titan, so only 8SCU max for now.
Goal-wise, I would like to pick up a Cutlass Steel (obv not for cargo) and some day an A2 (though i also like the Free Max)
dont bother
Don't bother with....... ?
cargo in a titan
Well, it's all I've got and the only other thing is deliveries which might be better for now, but once I can afford 3SCU of cargo, it'll pay more than deliveries.
im looking to hire a gunner for my freelancer max when doing cargo
What kinda beryl runs you doing in the c2?
Over 3 runs with Beryl I earned 277 k with the C2. However I did not have enough cash to fill the whole ship. In trading it takes money to make money. I had 2 lost runs which is painful. The game is not stable for consistent grinding of cash in trading. That's why I balance it out with salvaging. This activity has a small upfront cost and is chill.
If you are going to use the Titan at 8 scu I would concentrate on the most valuable Vice trade item. If that doesn't set well with you just go with Beryl. If you like trading in a few months still I would bypass the Steel in favor of a bigger trade ship. Also teaming up with Mole miners can be a money maker. Carry a Tractor Gun and learn the color of the valuable lost cargo crates. Any found crates are like free money laying around. Good luck.
Is there any good way to fix broken delivery boxes for delivery missions? It's making it difficult to get my rep up
Anyone know what colors mean on the boxes and how to identify boxes?
Yea, the steel is a want, and not a calculated trade investment; looking at trade though, considering grabbing a nomad on my way up to a free max then to an A2; may skip the nomad; I also realize the C has vastly more cargo space, but looking at end ending point option, I like also having a heavy payload with the A as a more self-supplied defense.
Many thanks for all the info btw; there has been a lot to learn.
Don’t forget the a2 doesn’t have much in the way of cargo space, with only 216 being 42 more than a connie Taurus for a fraction of the price
I’m not hating on the A2 by any means, but the Taurus is more realistic for self defense, not many ground targets will threaten trade, kinda nullifying an a2’s “self defense” option
Wrong crab
BROTHER
@fallen burrow i think the A2 bombs are more "asset denial" aka "if i can't have it then no one will" than self defense 😂
You boutta leave mining area with all the laranite? Not on my watch
Lol
You forget the A2 has turrets out the wazoo
Yeah, but for cargo hauling are you gonna have people sitting in the turrets
@modern agate you are correct, it does have a lot of turrets, but you also have to have other people in those turrets. Where the Connie at least gets those four big guns to the pilot along with the missiles if they're running solo. So you don't have to worry about coordinating and getting other people in at the same time
buddy and me trying to sell cargo but the TDD marks them red and they can't be selected even though the wares are in demand
any idea what went wrong ?
Stolen cargo?
I bought it
if the game considered it stolen, where could I sell it ? it's mostly gold, diamonds and beryl
I heard that Orison is typically higher prices for refined ore?
If it’s stolen, grimhex
It may not be stolen but it may be flagged as stolen if your in another person’s ship
That’s how I get around the stolen salvage issue, if my name is on both the salvager and the hauler, it’s not considered stolen even if another person is piloting the salvager
If your cargo is in a ship under another person’s name it may be flagged as stolen
if i bought drugs from JT where do i sell them
any NQA terminal
salvage yards, GH, etc
is the current SC version viable to do trade runs or its still unstable?
Hey is cargo hauling worth it, I was thinking of renting an andromeda and hauling medical supplies between mining facilities and new Babbage
Traders will trade under any patch they put out. Cargo hauling is a top tier money maker. For medical supplies the supply may be limited so be ready to add more trade goods.
Are y’all excited for the full lineup of Hull ships
Hi ho, how worth is it to rent a prospector and mine, or a cutter for some trading?
I’m new to the business, however from the little experience I have, I would say both of the ships are worthless when it comes to cargo hauling. Good ships, just not enough storage room for this profession.
As for Prospector, I was told that the set up is pretty decent now and you can make money.
I’m straggling with decision: should I buy Freelancer MAX or save money for Taurus if I want to do cargo hauling? What is the best intermediate step before getting the C2?
Probably the Taurus just for the outright cargo space, unless you have a fondness for freelancers
So I won't be wasting credits by tenting a prospector and doing some casual mining?
No, you may even make enough money to buy MOLE ingame. But Cutter (4SCU) is NOT for hauling. You need at least Cutlass (46SCU) for hauling refined materials. I have pledged Prospector and Freelancer MAX.
Would you suggest depositing materials to refine with the prospector, and when they're done renting a hauler to then sell them?
Pretty much, It's why I got Lancer Max. I can stuff about 4-5 refined Prospector loads and then haul them to TDD for sale.
Cutlass Black is enough for one refined Prospector load.
You can sell raw mined ores straight from Prospector, but you wont get as much as you would if they are refined.
I think price difference between raw ores and refined materials varies between 4x and 8x depending on exact material.
I'll have to see how many refinery slots or whatever there are before I decide what I wanna do with renting but thanks
AFAIK there are no refinery slots, BUT the more work orders in general, not just yours, there are, the higher the refining price goes. So your biggest bottleneck is going to be money needed for refining fee and time required, wich depends on wich method you chose. I usually take the one that takes 24ish hours to refine full Prospector load for high yield, but then again, some people may like refining go faster. You have a triangle of price, time and yield to choose from.
Top4 are as follows:
- Dinyx Solvenation
- Ferron Exchange
- Thermonatic deposition
- Pyromethric Chromalysis
Also, specialisations (bonus/malus) differ between refineries with 3.19, and MIC L5 Modern Icarus is the only one with pure bonuses, with no malus (negative) percentages. And this iz uzually 15 000 - 16 000 percent workload. It used to be lot less loaded before, and I am using it as my homebase (shitty laptop and net, so less stuff I have to initially load, the better).

Need help with anything?

Actually amazing
I’m fairly new to the game and just bought the cutlass black. Is cargo running worth my time and if so what type of cargo should I try to look for? I don’t really understand how the system works and all I have really done is some mining and bounty missions
something small like the cutty, id recommend drug running if you def wanna try cargo
or you could combine it with a ROC and go gem mining
it has enough space to transport refined ores to sell if you end up renting a prospector as well, if ya wanna mine asteroids
Sounds good, ill look int asteroid mining sounds interesting
Where’s the best stations for that? Or is that just whenever JT is active
I made this chart when I tried it out. Bear in mind there's a lot of people doing this so there's almost always very low supplies at each outpost. I was only able to fill my MSR by going around the whole system, making many different stops.
but it's probably the best trading income you can do when you have a ship with not very large cargo space. Also bear in mind it's illegal so avoid stations + major cities.
Oh also, Jumptown, Paradise Cove and Raven's Roost are kinda hidden outposts, there are no direct QT waypoints to them. You'll have to google around if you're really determined to go there, its a bit of a pain.
But hey ya never know, might be worth it since they're hard to get to, less competition for the supply presumably.
How much net profit is that in general??
very nice!!
When I had the cutty I used it for Roc mining you can make some decent money doing it….3 runs and you’ve got some money to burn trying to do drug runs if u want…and if you fail at the drug running just rent a Roc again and repeat
not great, i only made 200k profit on a full MSR. Took about an hour to gather it all. Had to travel to muliple location across Stanton.
but its all down to perspective, might be fun for newer players that cant afford a cat or a c2 yet.
And dont feel like shooting shit for time being.
Yeah ive been doing some roc mining but the servers has been terrible recently making it dreadful
there are a lot of things in this game that would be pretty good if the servers were stable
Nah my least favorite part is how long it takes to get from one point to another
it aint too bad with something that has a sizeable quantum storage and a class A military QT drive.
Most smaller ships are S1, and shitty fuel capacity, so Atlas drive is only viable option, wich is not fast. Economical, yes, but not fast.
Atlas, xl1, ts2 are the drives you should be getting size 1-3
True. If you got Drake Cutter, stuff VK00 in it. FASTEST S1 QT drive, and you got 6000 fuel in Cutter.
Trade terminals are in the red again. Anyway to resolve this?
it's like it's not picking up your cargo, usually theres a kinda graph to the left there below your ship name, showing the scu. No idea dude, besides a relog or redock.
yea good spotting. trying to buy and it doesn't seem to be working at any location. Gonna try a server in another region. Incidently, it seems to be working on ships with smaller scu's I think.
200k per hour isnt bad
Thanks for the tip on the terminal not picking up my cargo grid. So I purposely tried to crash my ship, and then claimed it thinking it might reset the cargo grid. And... yes it worked!
!fit
Only thing that worked for me was claiming a new ship
Boy Beryl prices crashed in Orison! Was making nearly a 400k profit on a C2 load. Now If have a load which I'll have to sell at an over 400k unless I wait. Do prices maybe recover during the early morning hours?
SC Trade Tools still thinks prices are high.
how up to date are SC trade tools? I wanna start getting into trading but I don't know if I can trust SC trade tools to be accurate
How ever good it is, I think SC Trade Tools is as good as it gets for third part trade tools. I don't think it tracks prices up to the minute of even hour.
SC Trade Tools is really good for giving you ideas of trade routes to explore for yourself based on what ship you have, how much money you have and how much risk you're willing to take etc.
Hmm.. so how do I sell cargo which is categorised as stolen?? I basically picked it all up from a downed ship?
good to know, thank you, on the same note do you have any idea of if there is a website that will tell me the stock of cargo at places?
I wish there was or if there is I am unsure of it.
I'd say it's difficult to implement since Supply and Demand are shared Globally across all servers.
So if someone buys one or sells one stock/commodity in one server that affects them all, as I was told about by a Discord Mod here somewhere
gotcha, thank you
SC Trade Tools does that if you enable it.
When enabled, it tells how often a commodity is replenished and how much each time. That's for all servers so you're completing with everyone, not just players on your server like it used to be.
PS, the hot ticket now days is either Beryl from MT to Orison or Hurston, or drugs.
thank you for all the help
are those still considered the hot ticket with 66 SCU?I'm renting a freelancer right now and have been hauling WiDoW and E'tam
I’m new where should I go for cargo abs what should I buy
The quantities for drugs are super small though - I never see more than 5-6 scu at any time
Is there a trick to being able to buy larger quantities
Do yall suggest I rent a ship to transport cargo from area 18 to hurston?
cause im looking at starting cargo runs
It's not worth it. Biggest rental is a Constellation Andromeda which only holds 96 scu and costs 70k for a day
Run drugs with whatever you currently have
True, when you see people talking about 100k+ profits, they are flying deidcated heavy duty (200+ SCU) cargo haulers. I tried cargo with C8X Pisces, and most of my money was from looting trading outposts crates, wich was mostly food, toolguns (multitool and medigun) and occasional armor piece. And most profits were from multitool and medigun sales to refinery/cargo deck and hospital respectively.
Where be the drugs
only one I got is the mustang
im trying to get money for a better ship so I can large hauls
I looked there, the numbers for drugs are way higher than the actual quantities I see
You can do some trading, mostly drugs. If I were you, I'd do bunkers, racing, and box deliveries until saved up enough money for cargo hauler and top of the line shields for it.
alright
Cutlass Black is the mallest one where you can start feeling succes in cargo hauling, I think. I myself use Freelancer Max.
Loved my Freelancer Max while I had it. Such an easy flyer, and it was definitely a faster hauler than my Taurus. The boost lasted long enough to get all the way out of atmo and it could land almost anywhere
Beryl or the other top 7 value trade items are a good start. Go to the trade tools and put some routes together. What ship you have?
He has starter Mustang.
Better upgrade!
any tips for drug running?
where can i sell osoian hides and gasping weevel eggs? cheers
Don't get caught. Or too greedy. If shit heats up, better run away with couple of crates, rather than respawn or suffer "tender mercies" of other outlaws.
Try "Admin Centers"... scattered around.
anyone have any idea how to fix the cargo grid not loading issue? Land my C2 at a mining outpost, but can't buy anything as the commodities stay red, the ship is selected in the drop down but the box grid bit never loads
Wait for stuff to load, dont go clicking immediately as terminal opens up. I always wait at least 15 secs before choosing ship.
Yeah i've tried that, no joy unfortunately
trying a SD and reclaim whilst i run some bunkers and then i guess its a char repair :/ was just hoping someone had seen this particular issue before.
Did you try region hopping? I usually play on EU, but if shit is too janky, I go US and/or Asia.
Yeah i did, EU US and Asia, AUS is just a bit too Delayed for me to want to chance undocking 😄
Just recently upgraded from prospector to mole and im looking for the best setup to mine Quantanium, Im having an issue with power ATM, im using the Lancer to drop instability.
I also am not very knowledgeable in the consumable modules, not sure what the best combination is for the mining i am attempting
Ive heard a Helix mining laser helps but its 100k, I am on a budget atm
why I can not buy diamond here ?
server 30k 2 min after, I guess that was the issue
where do I sell these? I got a great salvage these are the ones I can't figure out where to sell:
@thin nebula Those are drugs, need to be sold at locations where you can buy/sell drugs, you won’t be able to sell those at normal outposts or TTD’s
GrimHex.
Most things can't be sold currently because they forgot to add them for the npcs
So I bought a shitload of medical supplies to sell at the understock places and here in cru l5 they only bought 10, is this normal ?
Yes, medical supplies are slow in using.
Wasnt so in 3.17. CIG must have changed a lot in regards to cargo.
I tried selling at the places that normally buy drugs. They bought the other drugs but not those
The Meds aren't in the same category as the Vice drugs so sell them at a TDD terminal.
One other thing to beware of at the drug terminals is to be sure none else is around. Learned that today when I stopped to grab a shipment. Watched the guy for a solid 2 minutes without him moving, but the moment I accessed the terminal, he literally stabbed me in the back and took all my gear.
Alls fair in love and drugs
Yeah when it comes to drugs, shoot first, then shoot some just to be sure.
Hey guys, found my first accidental salvage, where can I sell the ship guns?
You have to sell them at a location that has them for sale
What do you do when you continually get "cargo removal failed" at TDD when trying to sell? Ship is stored.
I just recovered my C2 full of ore from a 30k, the ore containers are still physically inside the C2, yet the trade terminal doesn't seem to recognise them right now. Showing the C2 as empty.
retrieving the ship and storing it again after the 30k seems to have worked, the trade termainal now recognises the cargo and im able to sell
I did move one box with the tractor beam though, just incase that made any difference.
okay, this is kinda strange. yesterday I stored this c2 with about 380 units of diamonds. Today I retrieved it. No claim. No "destroyed". But.. it's empty ?
well - another store and retrieve and the cargo is here again
I'm getting into cargo hauling. I have a full hold of medical supplies and don't know where to sell. I made a mistake thinking the understock tag in the price ledger meant in-demand. So my initial selling point was useless.
Any suggestions?
Take the L, sell it wherever you get the most back.
Shouldn't take you too long to make up for the mistake.
Is there a better way to find demand and sell prices?
I recommend SC Trade Tools and UEX to find out where to buy and sell.
Let me get some links.
Thank you
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
SC Trade Tools has a bit more automation but they both have plenty of info. I use UEX more these days.
anything for good cheap cargo ships? or does that not matter when just starting out?
where should i sell weapons i salvaged off a ship
I believe platinum Bay will take them, but they need to be on cargo spaces to be recognised.. I think..
You have to sell them somewhere that carries them
I mean, you want as much cargo capacity as possible for better profit margin. Depends on your budget
i rented the freelancer
Best call if you're renting. 2nd biggest cargo capacity you can rent behind a Connie Andromeda, and that's ~100% more expensive for ~50% more capacity. Your first few hauls will be to break even but after that is profit. Maybe research drug running to squeeze more $ out while you have it.
yeah just stopped by a place but its out of inv but there is this huge ship with 6 size 3 repeaters that i took
@chilly junco
How long does it take for the commodities terminal to restock? Just came to a SMO and it's completely emptied out
It depends on the specific location. https://sc-trade.tools/shops will show you the rates
are there any drug running tools?
what's everyone's favorite cargo run rn?
Beryl at Microtech, sell at Orison
bear in mind thats supposed to cover every server in the game, so there could be a lot of other players on other servers on other regions buying at the same time.
lol the 30k button
Are you sure it’s not 800scu +1/min?
Anyone know if moving refined ore can be done with friends ship/rental. Any tips? You can’t store the ship right?
not with someone elses ship, but with a rental, yes. Biggest cargo ship you cna rent is the Andromeda.
So we can’t rent a ship and share it for moving refined ore?
Whosever order it is needs to rent the ship
I know it’s space but there won’t be any ore loving 😂
I bring great news
Cargo haulers rejoice, no more waiting 5 years for our hangar assignments in Orison
3 million lost last night hopefully new patch fix
does anyone know if theres a special commodity like souveneirs for invictus?
There's a new Cargo Hailing function added in 3.20 specifically for ships that cannot land. When you buy cargo at a terminal for the Hull C, you have to go back to the ship, and Hail ATC - Cargo.
Ship Tractor Beam UI
Best route for Corsair?
if CIG would not change a thing showed in this ISC, hauling scrap in Hull C will bring 506880 aUEC per trip
Any idea how much it will cost in game
Also won’t the Hercules already make that
trading what?
larenite and titanium from Arial - HDMS-Bezdek or HDMS-Lathan to Lorville is quite good rout
Where are Arial, HDMS, and Bezdek? I want to avoid big cities. And does the route have to be circular
HDMS-Bezdek and HDMS-Lathan are outposts at Arial which is moon of Hurston
Unfortunately, all good routes pass by a big city at the moment, except vices.
But vices are not well supplied enough to run as a main cargo hauler 😢
Ok
Tips for running drugs? I can never seem to find enough
nothing you can really do about that
Define " enough "
Youll have a hard time filling a C2
I just bought a cutlass black, and im looking to trade. Selling narcotics is profitable but its risky i think? Or other commodities have the same risk?
is orison destroying ships fixed
I haven’t seen any debris near LZs.
wasnt the question
I have seen someone "place" something on a mule, but it seems I can't - any hints on how to achieve that ?
oh wait, not every items goes on the railing ?
only special ones ?
1/8 SCU boxes (buyable at dumpers depot), delivery misdion boxes and armors with such storage modeled when not worn. 1SCU crate in the ass of MULE
ooh great. thanks
Mule itself also has couple storage part. 1 rifle eack, and 1 misc port.
oh ? where would I find that ?
I am running around mine but appearently I am blind
also, where would I find 1 SCU crates to buy ?
fun little thing for the little money it costs btw!
answers the question by saying i haven't seen any destroyed ships near the landing zone
You wreck the ship with enough stuff in inventory to generate big retrieval box.
yuck
Also, dont run, walk slowly around mule, and be real close to it. Its inventory and rifle rack are on left side.
Switches for triggering interactives are fukken miniscule on mule and really short range for highlithing it
Does the bigger ass end crate duplicate like the smaller ones do?
What do you mean?
Those crates are not duplicated, but caused by ship destruction and game trying to provide you opportunity to retrieve your stuff from destroyed ship.
@crimson mantle was the data mining from 3.19.1 available? I was going to explore doing some trade today, trying to relearn the art of the trade
Website is all updated! 😄
Yes, it was in the game's files.
Thanks! Sort of wondering what 3.20 is going to bring
Alright cargo enjoyers our time has come for our HUll C
YES
3.20 will be here like december... or 2024
No, actually I expect it to be in EVO testing by August sometime
What’s everyone’s go to hauler
There can be only one…
Hull Series Competitor
Multipillar
cant wait for 3.20 and another NOT wipe that will wipe all ships 🙂
2 times in a row now 🙂
but this time i was prepared 🙂 saved up 8m+ to buy back my C2 and his QJ + first cargo run 😛
3.20 most likely will be full wipe
Hauling drugs solo has to be one of the most stressful things in the world
I had to retreat from Brio's twice with reds in the area. Got 600K Vice onboard.
I can get them to reappear from a Claim also. But haven't tried armor in a 1 SCU crate. Kinda doubt it.
Hey, I just started salvaging and I'm a little lost on all the different terminals and what they do - is there somewhere I can learn
For example. I know there are TDD terminals, which I think are only on the 4 main planets at the central location - I also see commodity terminals at admin spacestations. I'm just wondering what sells where and also where I can find out what I have in my cargo incase I forget to scan a ship before taking the cargo
there are also terminals at the junk yards
If you want to sell ship weapons and parts you go to a store that sells them
the best thing to do is to pick the type of trading you want to do and look for a recent youtube on it.
there is mining, salvaging, bulk trade, and drug trading.
Question about this, where do the parts need to be? Will a terminal recognize a quantum drive in the vehicle inventory screen? Or does the part need to be in its physical form in the ship? Also does it matter if the ship is stored or still in the hanger?
If you put the parts on your ships cargo grid it should show up on the terminal to sell
Thanks
Seems like trade terminals are broken
Sometimes the terminals show you are full of cargo when empty and all that
Did 3.19.1 fix that bug where you could buy cargo and not actually get it if you acknowledged/completed the transaction too quickly?
Also, ae the Beryl routes from MT still just as good in 3.19.1?
does the ARIL helmet doesnt change the UI anymore? the yellow cargo set
Really depends on the ship you have
300i?
Drugs
Serious replies pls, I lost my money in the latest update
Your ship isn't big enough to turn a worthwhile profit with anything else
you can't do much with 8scu
Seriously it needs to be drugs/illegal
and even with drugs the margins won't be large
Yeah that's plausible i suppose
Do illegal surveillance
Is that pve? Can you elaborate again pls?
It shouldn't have combat
Just go to a reclaimer and grab a box
And take it to GH
"Breach and steal" is a mission in crusader
YouTube it first
Even for ppl with no rep like me?
Thanks
Thank you again
Ok I watched a video on it, is it still THAT bugged?
The Npc guards don't even respond
I think they're supposed to be friendly
It's been bugged for me twice before. One time the marker for the box disappeared and another time the server didn't register me delivering it. The other 40 times it worked
Good news is it's available all the time. If it bugs, do any other mission and come back and it'll be there
They aren't meant to respond
Unless you have a CrimeStat that is
Ok, I see
Hull-C epic. Just saying. 😄
I waited to long to board the ship. The 9 Tails were half naked and just as I was picking up the missile launchers the mission failed and the whole ship blew up.
orison no demand for beryl
This morning I got a healthy amount from the site on Lyria took it to Area 18 profits close to 200k... with a C2.
So run Breech and Steal loop for 75k per run? I'll take a look at that too then. Thanks
Definitely looking forward to seeing it in action!
Well I heard the medical crate reward to Grim Hex can be bugged I just go for the heavy guns and armor. (Incudes a FS-9) bring a small ship and tuck it in by the Port side airlock that area first then the lower cargo room last sweep. I go in with a flightsuit and pistol all the 9 Tails should dead. If you bring a bigger ship the enemy ship(s) in the surrounding battle may attack it while you are gone.
Is Lorville supposed to be buying Beryl?
Thanks for the tips. What size ship? I'm guessing a Taurus is to big, maybe a cutter?
trying to do normal beryl runs but after second run i can see some issue - there are no cargo for return, and beryl is drying out quickly. So i think they "fixed" trades as they did with salvage and everything else expect bugs?
Is there an API somewhere for ore, cargo, etc prices?
Cutter sounds best until you get the feel of what's going on. Taurus could help shoot down the bad guys.
Whats the best run for a hull a rn
none - everything is out of stock and the best haul you can do gives you 20-50k with full C2 cargo
i feel bad for all people that bought hull C
unless they will put special loop for that ship
they will. there is literally not enough commodity refresh rate to support 1 hull c on a server.
i know 😦
I've have spend nearly 5m to buy back my C2 (that NOT wipe - wiped of my collection) and was able to gain back 3,9 m before all servers i was on (5 in general - hooping when empty) dried out of beryl, gold, laranite, ascenite and everything you could gain money before 😦
no using max for bigger profit 😦
and C2 is usless piece of junk in my collection 😦 with upgrades
I had a max but lost it in the purge
I'm using MAX because it is my purded 🙂
So is cargo fucked
more than a salvage - im on microtech - went to necropolis, outpost 54 - then to caliope's jumptown and bought 80k worth of drugs - now even piracy is not a valiable option - everything is empty
Not really, did a few runs today that were fine.
couple hours ago did them too - go check now
Damn
Mine were half an hour ago, wasn't in Micro though.
Is running salvage worth it
Did a beryl run last night on Microtech that netted me 200k+
"last night" - key word here
had that 4h ago
and saw how stock is not replenish - so switch server, then again, then again...
The stock is shared across servers lmao
Hey guys, did the game changed the cargo haul completely ???
I have like 2M on cargo on Diamonds and Laranite and I cant sell it in Area 18
Nevermind guys so it looks like it wasnt enough demand in that specific moment
Damn, sad to see the hauling game is in the dumps. It was so good right before the patch, hope it's just connected to the general server problems
I’m confused as to what’s changed?
Pre patch there was never any REAL volume of beryl, laranite or gold at any of the cheapest sites…. You were always buying in small quantities having to make 2-3 jumps to get even 200-300 SCU of either. ….
Only way to get good amount of it was to buy at the more expensive sites and trade volume for lower profit %’s but higher overall UEC gains. Other commodities come in here like Diamond too. Low % but high UAC value.
So as a genuine question, what’s changed?
I ask because it was also my primary money maker and I am out of the country so can’t check myself
Like. Laranite on Hurston moons was almost ways always empty and you had to wait ~15 mins for a spawn, which would be between 33-100 SCU.
Then jump to the other site and hope a good number spawned there.
Rinse and repeat until you get a vaguely full cargo (though I have never been able to get anywhere near full cargo for a C2 or even a carrack)
Beryl and Gold ariund Area18 moons were even worse. Never seen more beryl than about 30 and never seen more than 10 gold. Camping out at the terminal means you can get the spawns every 5-15 mins but never any real SCU volume there.
Can anyone explain where all this doom and gloom is from?
Do you guys think that cargo running in the C2 is going to be next to impossible considering the fact that it doesn't have outside cargo and no tractor beam?
This is how it is because RSI didnt really putted the necesarily effort on the cargo hauling, everything is gonna change when the Hull C comes out because if not the trade system is gonna be really broken.
I dont see why it would be impossible, the unique but big problem here is the inexistence of stock of the most valuables things to trade with.
And with that problem the ship you're using doesnt care anything.
Medical supplies from Orison to Area 18 is really great, a closely amount like that per run.
I couldn’t sell my gold at Area 18 anyone know why
No demand ?
I would consider that more of a glitch than anything else. Under normal conditions that I have seen as a long time C2 trader the TDD terminals have almost NEVER short changed buying what I brought to them. Relog and come back on a different server and hopefully you get better results.
hahahahahahahaha - nope 🙂
unless it have 1h delay - it is not true 🙂 If you check my posts iwrote that i've changed servers to load nad trade (was changing when there was no materials to sell - to be able to do couple full cargo runs before depleted).
i'm curently at 3,9m mark (started with 1m) and just want to progress to buy back my ships and gain enough capital to buy 890, but with current economy i do not think it will possible by trade - unless you will use 100 times more time than before (where was enough around 106 trips New Babbage-Orison =106x36 minutes)
is there a smuggling route around hurston?
Hurston does not allow gun sales nor drug dens on that planet even though you call SELL there. (Or the moons from what I can tell...)
is it just a struggle selling cargo rn?
Mostly buying it, the stock of valuable cargo is low and it's shared across servers to some degree so it disappears even faster
Before the patch I was doing short runs around MT, there's usually enough to fill a Taurus with something and with a 15 minute route you can make like 150k/hr. Still not even as much as ghost hollow though, I really hope they buff the cargo system in 3.19
How do you even server jump while waiting on resources?
Can’t bed log in safe zones so presumably you gotta fly out, bed log, re-log, hope for a different server, fly back to trade place, enter terminal building and hope there’s something there?
#i can easily see that taking 10 mins per re-log…. And you’re gambling that something is there. Isn’t it just easier to wait for a guaranteed resource spawn?
#what am I missing 🤔
yup, but then you can have chance to have full C2 at once after 10 min (just fly out and leave engines on - relog and - puff 🙂 )
Do you log back in with the engines still on, or is it a race to turn them on before you pancake the floor?
I think engines stay on when you bed log. Otherwise I would have died so many times from that stupid 10 second stretching animation in the connie
Where’s the best places to sell weapons and armor?
So am I wrong to assuming that bringing stuff to those places like food and whatnot doesn't keep the place generating material, right?
Sadly not, that would be cool though, as it is there's really no reason to sell to outposts except just to not have empty cargo space
do not bring anything there - look for white and red boxes -= white for food, and utilitys and red for armors 🙂 You bring stuff from there - (if you want to wait instead of server jumping you can loot all buildings) 🙂
if you need anything just take small ship and loot all mining station- you will be set for whole wipe 🙂
Anyone know if there are faster routes to the Admin/TDD for cities like the surface entrance for New Babbage?
(I hate trains)
look for dooms when landing - there is surface entrence = enter in commons
I know the New Babbage surface entrance
I mean is there similar in Lorville, A18, Orison, etc.
sadly - nope - no logistics possible 😦
in NB city commons is underground - on Orison - no place to land - same with rest of them tbh
That's a shame; would be really nice for QOL
Maybe I can park right on the boardwalk in Orison
station over planet where you can dock and unload everything would be nicer 🙂
Wouldn't be surprised if something like that is in the cards with the Hull-C coming
imagine Hull E - 100m cargo 🙂
Just increase buy limits for stations and make runs from station to city profitable
I feel like the E's for interstellar hauls
Probably a long time
There's definitely going to be a loop taking huge amounts of stuff through the jump gate from pyro, because no way am I making that jump every time in my med hauler
That'll be cool -- some kind of new, frontline station on the other end of the jump point, along with smaller routes out to the outposts. Still leaves an important place in the logistics chain for all the C2 and Cat pilots today
i wish we could have better cargo - for now best what you can have (with some waiting time) is beryl for 1,5m. You have 0 chance to take gold for example 😦
I'm by no means an experienced hauler but I have a Taurus and moonlight a bit. I just check my destination and fill my cargo hold with whatever they'll take
But yeah an in-engine resource for seeing current supply & demand would be huge. It's good for gameplay to incentivize using a variety of routes
Do you use uexcorp web?
Occasionally. Is it more up-to-date than SC-tools?
more usefull (i think) - for me it is better looks
I'll try to use routes like that but availability and demand is always dissapointingly low
I was never making enough for it to be worthwhile
Like what are the odds I actually get a full cargo hold running one of these routes?
https://uexcorp.space/routes
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
I was filling a Taurus pretty easily before the patch, just to quick runs of beryl or agricium. Gold, diamonds and Laranite obvs buy if you see them but you probably won't get a full load of those. You might have to jump around a bit but usually there's enough for a medium ship, and if you can get the route down it's like 15 minutes to make 40k
My favorite is around microtech because of the surface entrance, and you can pick up from the SMO stations on the planet
Do people long haul at all anymore? There's some places like HDMS-Ryder which seem to have a lot of supply
UEX will show the popular routes from a location but not to it
Idk it might be worth it in a C2 but definitely not anything smaller
I only really sell to TDDs on planets, or stations. Most other places aren't worth the trouble of figuring out what they buy and where to buy it and optimizing the whole route, at least for me
Ran into a cargo issue last night in my C2. TDD wont recognize my cargo grid. Wont load it at all. I have a full load and not sure what to do. The only suggestion I have seen is to server hop or move cargo around. both have not worked for me
change terminals, couple times it will appear - it happens to me too.
So the TDD consoles are defintely choking right now... I keep getting stuck in the processing screey trying to empty my hold at Olisar
At least my cargo isn't going anywhere, so I'm not loosing a full quartz load, but still...
Aye, earlier the dropdown wouldn't even load the list of inventories, I just stored the ship to try again later. Glad the stored cargo persistence is pretty reliable by now
Update: pulled the ship, went up near baijini and the cargo disappeared out my ship…. Roughly 700k gone
Same problem here, 200 laranite and 496 titanium gone
Does anyone know how much shielded cargo space the Mercury Star Runner has?
I had 1mil of cargo lost like that.
Terminal won’t recognise cargo. Went to ‘store’ the ship and then…… ship destroyed 😢
To date, I have literally lost more than I have made trading. Owe my mate about 1mil as he keeps finding me when the game bugs me out and I lose everything 🤣
Lately for normal cargo trading I land in the Orison hanger and just run to the TDD and sell fast its been working okay.
Does anyone have experience with the wh@ole ‘block a lane ‘ illegally land’ thing where you can get your ship impounded… not need to risk parking or crashing into invisible debris or risk the station not acknowledging your dock and deleting your cargo ‘ all the other bugs xD
Wondering if it’s a viable thing to do when you have valuable cargo on. Are to ensure that the ship gets docked by the station with minimal risk
I have used this during the 9 Tails event its pretty reliable but not every hanger door accepts the process.
Good to hear.
So worst case scenario is you actually have to land, or can stuff go really wrong and your ship gets wiped or something?? 🤣
@fallen burrow DO NOT ever pull out ship when you have problem with grid - it will always reset cargo. Change terminals until grid will appear.
I tried every terminal twice if not more on multiple servers. It was a bust. Had to just chalk up my losses
Yup doin that from here on out lol
700k i would think about it too, but with full 1,5m i would wait 🙂
Beryl sure is popular, nowhere will buy even 1 SCU! 😅
Hopefully with 3.20 they add super-bulk low risk commodities that are able to be run non-stop. Hull-C need it, but everyone would benefit 🤔
hull C cant take cargo of planet surface 🙂 it will need something .... different
(space elevator - space elevator - space elevator)
I'm just saying I wouldn't mind doing station to station runs in a C2 too 😅
+1 but for over 200k per run with shipment cost >1m
At the moment, the "on-foot" part of trading takes as long as the space trucking part 😢
true
Hadn’t thought of that. But the hull series would also address that, being purely station bound
nah - interstellar 🙂
If the process doesn't work just call the ATM to get you a hanger. But don't call ATM then try the Impound do one or the other. I am pretty sure it does not work at Orison or NBIS. Another thing I do is drop speed to zero, lower wheels and turn the engine off. You can always experiment with a minor load of goods ohhh shit I just realized if it doesn't work at the bigger cities will not be very helpful.
How’d you fix it?
leave terminal - go to other - choose c2 (no change) "2"- go to other press sell - leave terminal - use previous terminal - go to sell - leave terminal - go another - chose C2 (no change) - go to "2" - repeat until grid appear - you can use different ships if that do not work 🙂
if you do this too long it self store ship (DO NOT take it out) leave it in storage until u sell it
How fo you find out what is in a crate of salvage without going to a sell terminal?
For starting out; would high aUEC/min cargo runs be more recommended than high sheer profit?
noticed the difference, and I'd be using a small/medium cargo ship as a starter cargo vessel, so it's not like I'd be doing bulk Caterpillar/C2 runs
Have a 2nd ship scan it or get a rough guess from the color crate charts.
For a smaller ship if you have the cash still go with the higher tier items or buy Vice and learn how to get to the jumptown sites.
What’s the best ship to run cargo with
C2
I literally ditched my Caterpillar for a C2. More cargo room, better handling, more fuel capacity. The biggest impediment right now to making money with trade for me is the cargo volumes I need to start pulling around for even larger profits
Eventually even a C2 will be limited, but for now it’s the king
Being able to deploy infantry with armor support is a nice touch too…
The Raft, C2 ect will be more of a shuttle craft when the Hull C is in.
Hull will move station to station, and others will do station to ground and vice versa
The raft should carry so much more than it does. It has way more physical space than the Taurus but carries like half the scu
Hoping we get some real stat's for the Hull C soon.
Any and all updates to its drives, speeds ect would be handy to start preping my in system runs
It appears the MM may go to planets too right?
Hull-C might start to stetch the solo traders logistically. It will be interesting to see unfold 🤔
It’s all speculation at this point afaik but my speculation is yes. MM is meant to have NPC traders and be a portable bazaar / market place owned by the player (alongside presumably having shit tons of SCU capacity)
It also has wings that are ~200m wide, suggesting a design with atmosphere in mind
Fighter cover and support I imagine will become a big thing!
How often do commodity price alerts update or pop up?
can't sell distilled spirits
I stole someones ship and transferred all their distilled spirits to my ship
Stolen cargo then?
Stolen cargo to Grim Hex....
It will probably not be the best for cargo once the Hull-C comes online.... 😄
That’s literally what he’s saying…
🙂 Actually thinking about it the C2 will still be 2nd best and probably better for people who don't want to go that far...
I need to look into what routes would actually be viable with the hull c in the current environment…. I am not familiar with commodities that have any profit while being limited to just space stations
We can assume this will change somewhat when the hull c is released, but also maybe not rofl
is there anything legal thats better than selling drugs
Depends on how you define better. Selling massive hauls of titanium can get you 80k / 20 mins. Very reliably…. So there are definitely steady earners that excel but none that beat the raw potential profit of drugs
Is there a 3rd party tool that will let me know the price of things across the verse
For example, if I wanted to sell RMC - could I find all locations that will accept it and what they would offer me without going there to check.
Does hauling late at night make stock lvls a little better? Since last patch cargo is a pain in the ass having to wait for stock.
I barley made any money last night. Because filling my hill with gold took an hour and only netted me around 280k
I found one last night but I don't recall the url. It was like first thing after Googling "Star Citizen trade tool"
CIG may have improved the inventory link between the servers in getting ready for Quantum implementation.
Trade has actually been pretty good for me last two days. Of course I'm running mid size hauling for now until a good pad is in the wallet
SC Trade Tools
Be sure to check out Jack Acton's updated trade video for 3.19
That be the bitch
And will do, heard that trade has some nutty profits even for rental ships so going to try it a bit today and tomorrow
I really need to build back my in game fleet after the loss
Beryl to Orison is nice. Just don't stow your ship
I chose to pay a little more and buy it at Woodruff on Ita, but I was still making nice margins on a Taurus that wasn't even full (buying about 90 SCU each trip until I have more funds)
So i would be better off sticking to selling drugs for money then
For raw profit per time, I guess so.
I’ve never done drug running so dunno what the risk / reward is like so can’t say definatively
Yeah seems way faster and more fun. If you can’t get a full load of gold or beryl in the Taurus it’s not worth it over the small runs on daymar that net 100s of k
Anyopne salvaging .... Looks like cargo is back (on risky at least, not tested normal today)
can anyone tell me where to get rid of Iron? TDD in Lorville doesnt want any
Literally any other city 😅
https://sc-trade.tools/commodities/Iron
Hull C will be able to trade only between stations, C2 is not that limited with trade routs
It's the middle button on the front page you want - Select what you've got and how much and that will tell you where you can sell... You can also plan trade routes as well...
Am I calculating profit correctly? I am using this formula...
(NumItems * buyprice) - (NumItems * sellprice) = profit
Fuel and repairs?
Not taking into consideration anything other buying and selling...
@crimson mantle Great site 🙂
When does Cargo restock at outposts? Arrived at one and it's empty and I had wanted to finally start trade
also... why are you doing it via Commodity browsing?
There's a trade route tool
It's so many scu per minute so hang on for a minute and relogin to the terminal
It was what he was asking for... 🙂 He wanted to know how to find out prices all over the verse...
Ah; you didn't reply to it so it looked like you were just showing it for no reason
I did though look one post up...
fairo; thought that first post was the bot
No That was me... 😄
I did some smaller trades with a 135C and Beryl the profit was 10k the Freelancer Max was 54k. Just a side note for those building up to a bigger ship.
In small ships drug run its king
The salvage cargo found in contracts, who can sell it? The hauler owner? The person who moved it?
(Sell - Buy) * number of items is quicker
I really think though that 8scu of cargo is not really enough for trading at the moment and a bigger ship is in order....
Did they un nerf it? That was a really fun game loop for like one day and then suddenly it made negative money
I think I'm going to hold off getting back into mining for a bit, it was fun to do trade runs the past few days.
correct, that only really works with simple pizza deliveries or contraband runs
Hmm contraband that's vice yeah?
Wait until you lose 2.6m in cargo because of a hanger bug / cargo bug / pirate \ invisible debris at landing / invis hanger doors / ‘insert other bug here’.
More stable and smaller investments start to look a lot more appealing 🤣
The Taurus is 3.4 but it's so much better. Otherwise the freelancer max is the in-between step for like 2.2m
Id push for the taurus, its amazing
can anyone tell me where to sell osioan hides at am confused
So we are pushing 2mil an hour with it right now
I've lost over twice as much as that before, and lost almost a billion aUEC at the "great wipe". I just see it as part of the game. When I make a trade to Orison with Beryl, I don't stow the ship (possible claim bug). I have gotten a CTD on one run but I was able to return to the outpost and reclaim the ship. Risk part of the process
Agree 100% with the "more stable and smaller" route, that's how I'm building back up. Using the Taurus for now. At first I couldn't even half fill her up, now working on padding the wallet until I have 2x the amount to fill a C2. Then I'll start flying my big girl
A BILLION? like, a million, million aUEC…. 😯
That would be: 1,000,000,000,000 in your mobi glass…
I kinda don’t believe it, or maybe your using a different ‘billion’ - like a hundred million or something
A hundred million I’d imagine isn’t too hard to get to via sellling rare items etc.
but a billion. Damn
LOL, I understand but there was about 18+ months of no game reset. But I will say that gaining too much wealth in the game turned out to be a limiter to motivation
That I can understand
What do you do when you have everything Linda syndrome
I did enjoy doing "scholarships" etc for aspiring traders or miners. It was fun to get new players up and running with their own ship (since the rentals were awful).
Ha. Plz apprentice me!
Mining was so lucrative at one point and trade had fallen out of favor in the game focus. But honestly, I don't want to work that hard anymore. I think once I get about a hundred million aUEC, I'll probably just scale back and play without a care
I need to learn the way, obviously. All I managed to do so far is lose 3 million from bugs and have my mate keep throwing money at me to stay afloat
LOL, I'm building back up from zero. My wallet doesn't even have 30 million aUEC in it yet (that's my base for funds)
Freelancer Max is actually pretty decent, haven't tested it yet though
I’m back up to just under 1 mil since my latest catastrophe wiped me to 0 - 700 of that mil is my friends though
Albeit for a mere 200k you can rent an Andromeda that holds 96 SCU
So you can save up for a Taurus or Caterpillar/C2 instead of burning it on a midrange cargo ship
that's why I always build fund conservatively. I try to avoid all my eggs in one basket (if you will). Every load starts with the thought, am I willing to lose all this?"
If you can't afford to lose it, don't buy it
pretty much, I start small. I know that some of my trade runs won't be the "the best aUEC you can make" but rather will offer a modest return for the time. Then I repeat until I'm bullet proof
I'm running my Taurus at this time instead of my C2 because I want to pad my wallet until it isn't a concern
When I make a purchase (component or ship), I earn the amount first, then buy it (strange concept, I know, but it works wonders)
It's not a meta ship but I loved mine. Easy to fly, really easy to land almost anywhere, and it has loads of boost -- enough to boost all the way out of atmo almost anywhere. It doesn't hold too much cargo but the actual flying and delivering was fantastic. I ended up CCU'ing it to a Taurus for more cargo cap but I missed it. Have an MSR now but I really have no regrets about my time with the Freelancer MAX
Agreed though that if the goal is big $$ just save to the C2
I just wish the freelancers got the gimballed thrusters that they had in their commercial
I can and will tout the supremacy of the Constellation as a Multi Role solo/crewed ship, but in my research I'm finding the Freelancers are an often forgotten, but nonetheless capable series of ships
I think for purchasing ships again I will probably grab a Freelancer MAX and then save up to a Taurus. Once I have the Taurus I will probably maintain the MAX for high cost, but high profit runs and use my Taurus on and off for major money making or for daily combat adventures
I think the Taurus is good for the very specific purpose of being able to do VHRT/ERT bounties and haul decent cargo in one ship, but there's a few things which aren't on paper that eventually turned me off:
-It sits very tall on the ground and feels wobbly; you really need to land on level terrain
-It's a boat both in and out of atmo. Fighters can easily flank you, asteroid belts feel precarious and landing/takeoff always felt clumsy
-Easy to lose both engines and weapons in combat, and it's maneuverability is awful if you lose even one engine
-174 SCU isn't meaningfully better than the 122 of the Freelancer MAX for those types of runs
fair enough; but I will still prefer the Taurus for the capability of holding shit for bunkers and for bringing into bounties; I don't have to think when I click a contract.
Although I see what ya mean for landing and tbh yea, less than 50% great cargo is a multiplyer, but not so much so
Taurus is also a vastly superior multi-crew ship, even in PvP
And personally I like the styling more. That blacklight interior is ❤️
any tips for trading in a world where everythign is out of stock?
I'd be willing to listen too; I started taking lesser items and that got me quite few profit
I’ve been consistently filling my c2 on my route, only once did I need to wait for a beryl refill
maybe i just need to stop trying to find slam
I was trying to fill up on Gold, then Laranite, and even Diamonds wouldn't fit even half my hold of my rental Connie
ive been trying to do slam, widow, etam and can never find more than 5-8 SCU available
most of the time its just empty
Yeah I haven’t touched drugs so I can’t speak for them
But the legal stuff is solid in high quantities
I'd need to know where ya goin then cause I ain't seen it in the couple hours I was testing out trade
I tried MicroTech's 0-18 Mining Facility then popped over to ArcCorp's 056 iirc
Both were quite drained
damn how, ive tried a bunch of routes. but nothing consistant and worth it
Try Ryder on Ita
Finally watched video from Jack Axton; it's actually really fucking helpful
CHAPTERS BELOW
While not a State of Trade, we're going to take a look at the updates that 3.19 brings for trade and examine each updated commodity.
If you want to do a bit more research for your own trade runs, check out the spreadsheet below, or venture over to https://sc-trade.tools/home.
I use hdms bezdek and the other hdms on arial
Is there a document or website or sheet of the various min purchase to max sell for current commodities?
I'm currently manually adding the best and 2nd best buy/sells for various commodities to start a possible trading ledger, but if someone else did my work (and did it better) might as well use it
Can the Taurus make pretty good money cargo hauling or am I better off in something bigger like a Caterpillar or C2?
Probably; but it's just the largest capacity ship below C2 size
odd
Heard Beryl was a great high volume good, specifically from MicroTech to Crusader, but it seems that Crusader has half the Beryl production facilities too
Nvm, low supply
So might be good for a smaller hauler to get some good hauls for not bad prices
oh I entered in the wrong side; I put the highest buy, not the lowest
Noticed that the Salvage product, RMC, is actually purchaseable. Is this a standard good? Because if so it's got a ludicrous price margin
Ah nevermind, it's a negative price margin
12k purchase to 7.7k sale
A great way to lose money
looks like a possible backup commodity might be Medical supplies; haven't heard anyone using it, so its low supply might be manageabe for a Connie/Freelancer
no one uses it because the return is so low
Check out uexcorp.space, I think you can see all the commodity stats
good stuff, although wasn't what I was fully desiring. I did complete what I wanted though
This is what I got after a bit of looking at SC Trade Tools
Roughly something for a Profit per SCU of different key items
Finding good cargos, and potentially focusing efforts on acceptable profit per SCU items
ergo my comment on Medical Supplies; it's bad, but it's nearly half the maximum Beryl profit
which for a trader starting out (note; ME.) a reliable backup will be nice
I currently have a MSR, Caterpillar, Valk, and Corair. Are there any cargo loops using the hull-a would be faster/easier?
Hey stupid question but does anyone know the price of the bunker drugs ? Curious if it’s worth selling them rather than destroying them
gold looks suuuuuuuuuper good on paper but the three times i tried to pick some up there was like only 9
Yeah. Because it's got two locations it spawns from, and it's only supplied about 240 units per 10 minutes for the entire community
Doesnt anyone here have the RAFT?
whats in demand at area 18 rn?
For me the biggest lesson I’m still learning is about exposure.
Stuff like beryl, Laranite, gold, diamond etc have good profit potential, but a full haul of that may represent (this is a random number for example) 1m UEC.
That’s more than I can afford to lose ir I get bugged out or pirated.
AND if you’re only making (again, random example number here) 100k profit per run, your exposure ratio is 10:1. You need 10 successful runs to break even if just 1 goes wrong.
So I am factoring that into my runs now., being a mill in debt to my mate because of bugs causing losses. How exposed am I in this run, how many runs to make up a single loss.
Diamond is a great example. A C2 load of diamond is like 2.6 mill or smith. But it a only 10% profit, so you’re exposing yourself 2.6mil TEN times to make a profit of 2.6 mil….
What happens if two of those runs go wrong? You’ve lost 5mil 😂
will there be changes when the hull d and e are released?
Its profit / risk ratio
Not counting time
Hauling its an easy gameloop, and profitable, but you can lose a ton of money too
Nothing will bring, potentially, 1M per hour tho
It should cause theres no economy to support that ships
I think cig its pushing quietly every gameloop to be around the same profit
Is the Maze bundles from Jumptown the same as the Maze bundle at SPK and the Destroy Drugs bunker mission? Thanks!!
This is why I do one simple thing to earn money and I'm not greedy about it.
Take the 30k personal salvage mission and loot the cargo. Do 3 runs then bank it.
90k spent - 350k return. (15 minutes work)
Yeah they should be, they should be 11k a bundle
Yeah but you also need to factor in the haul sizes, exposure is important but making a run in a base freelancer vs a c2, your hauling targets will be completely different. If I’m gonna try to utilize the whole hold of a c2, I’m definitely not going to try to get gold or slam, instead I can afford a smaller profit margin as the pure amount being traded will make up for it. Beryl is in a weird spot as 7 runs can double your initial investment and has a huge pool that can be drawn from
Did they in-nerf these then? Apparently a few weeks ago they nerfed the crates you got from them, so they were worthless. Have you been doing this recently?
And out of curiosity, what do you use to do the looting (ship wise)
They nerfed the 50k contracts. No cargo on those anymore but still cargo on the personal (30k options) just get in and out quick and yea I expect it to get nerfed again
I've been making about 750k an hour with it and just using a Cutlass Black for now
Ah nice. Good g know. Thanks
I tried the 150 Salvage mission and the Carrack was empty of cargo and I don't have the patience to power wash 2 loads in a Vulture so a bit bummed out but will try another one later. Plus I'll try the 30K ones Steve talked about. CIG has stated don't count on the treasure cargo the primary reason to get those contracts.
I did one also and got some maze to cover the cost. Also 6 ships and enough salvage but when I left to empty my vulture, I couldn’t get back. Wouldn’t QT and was middle of nowhere
Yes they will 100% remove the maze soon
Thanks Steve...
so how much can i make by cargo with like 200k
Like... 15-20k on some of the higher goods?
I had Connie selected, but looks like you may be lucky with some Drug running, if you want to risk all of it
It's only ~15-20 SCU cargo that's being hauled with that amount of collateral
in a c2
Looks like for pure profit, Quarts to Orison or Area 18 will get you 90k profit for a C2
IIRC Quartz isn't very high demand so you might be able to easily grab that
could be wrong tho
and hourly estimated?
It's estimating 20 minutes for that 90k
If you're wanting to try and maximize profit per hour then flying your C2 is not... gonna get it with only 200k upfront
Do you want reliable and high volume, or risky but high profit?
what is the best way to make a ton of money?
yes
i heard cargo is super good but i can get 90k faster in bunkers
and not risk losubg 200k
losing*
I would recommend that, 1.5mil is the low end for risk in upfront for a C2 hold of a good profit
i got 6.6 mil. what is the best investment
for a C2? I heard Beryl. I don't have one though so it's mostly hearsay. Full load of Beryl ~1.4-1.6mil
...
you are going to give me an anuerism sire
standby
CHAPTERS BELOW
While not a State of Trade, we're going to take a look at the updates that 3.19 brings for trade and examine each updated commodity.
If you want to do a bit more research for your own trade runs, check out the spreadsheet below, or venture over to https://sc-trade.tools/home.
I recommend this, but, basically, high risk, high reward
Beryl is what I've heard is best for hauling and being reliable. The thing coming up from SC Trade Tools is 415k profit per 15 min (if you can full load immediately) or at 334k profit per 15 minutes from a larger supplier
But you're also dropping 1.5mil for the higher profit, and 1.6 mil for lower profit
There's weaker cargos for lesser profits, but don't burn so much money if it's lost; ergo my earlier links to runs of Quartz
Whenever i go to trade drugs with my cutlass, there is always a shortage
am i missing something?
do i need to wait?
or are there places that are less busy?
Yeah that's unfortunately just the drug running experience right now. Look up all the places that sell around your planet, you can usually scrape together 20 SCU or so
suuuuuper fun when your game crashes with a full load of beryl and you don't spawn back in your ship.
Problem right now is finding enough stock to fill it. Last night it took me so long to get 1 mill of cargo
I’ve been getting ship back to starting station even on crashes lately. Just a heads up to look
Yeah I'm not claiming it for a bit to see if it returns
what does this mean on sc-trade tools? "Max 50 SCU + 1/min"
It stocks 50 SCU of this good at any one time, but resupplys 1 SCU each minute (it will do a restock at each 10 minutes, so multiply by 10 for the expected restock)
of course, it also checks around the Verse for others buying the good, and will subtract it's stock and restock for you by that amount
so if someone in server A buys 10, it will have 40 for you, if at all
Where can you buy a stor-all utility add-on for the aurora series ships?
I got the Aurora MR package the other day to get into the game for the first time. I'd like to do cargo runs but don't know that it's worth it to spend to swap my ship over to an Aurora CL
Is sitting on your ass for over half an hour to fill your ship and waiting for gold to restock the most efficient money making method for trade?
You can fill a caterpillar with gold in probably 45-60 minutes, idk I haven’t tried yet.
And the profit amount is 1,000,000 aUEC
So in my opinion I think the waiting to profit ratio is really good, it’s just mentally draining for me to sit there doing nothing waiting for the numbers to change.
Probably not, you're risking your whole load if the server crashes, and anyway someone can buy it on another server before you even see the updated stock
Ah the thing is that the fastest route is SMO-18 to New Babbage.
But someone else buying it is a concern.
Gold refresh rate suits smaller haulers. Doesn't matter how good the margin is if you can't get it. Beryl has a good supply and demand.
that shit suits nobody bruh you show up to 1scu if any
where do i buy cargo at crusader ? need help plzz new to cargo
I think the building is right across from the hotel
no offence that means nothing to me lol im still pretty new
the TDD is right over the bridge after exiting the habs building, its got a more red color scheme
found it thanks
Wait what did the sign say it's on the platform with cousin crows? Are those different trade terminals?
Is anyone getting SCU containers dropped after their ship gets destroyed? For example I just rammed into an asteroid in my C2, in its internal inventory was a load of missiles and ship modules, presumably large enough to generate a SCU container, yet when searching the wreck site I couldn't find any sign of one. No real way to recover my stuff.
Cousin crows platform only has cousin crows and a covalex store. The TDD is on cloudview attached to the mall across the canal from the apartment building
Be sure to check out SC Trade Tools and learn how to use that website. It will provide good hints and points of reference. Also look up Jack Axton's 3.19 Trade video he did about 4 weeks ago
The platform is with the TDD is called "Cloudview", it shares the Habs, stores, hospital and also the Crusader showroom
how long does stuff restock?
ive been watching vids and using tools just think im being brain dead honestly
10 minutes.
But it gets reduced from other servers actions, so the actual restock could be lower or nothing
ah so
it doesnt mean a full restock
like the units could be low on one server and more on the other?
https://sc-trade.tools/commodities check here for whatever you're trying to buy/sell and it will tell you the refresh rate of the place
Remember on "Restocking" that you are competing with players from ALL servers for that refresh rate.
When do commodities restock usually?
Every 10 minutes iirc
Okay I just got a taurus and want to start doing cargo what do I do exactly? I know where to go to buy the stuff already
when cargo hauling and buying gold or beryl and lets say you go to buy some but u cant fill ur ship
do u guys wait for more restock or go to another location to buy it?
or buy something on the side ?
You buy where you buy, and sell at a location that buys what you’re selling
Depends on what I’m buying, beryl I’ll wait because if I can’t fill a c2 at once I definitely will at the restock. Laranite, I’ll buy what they have and stuff the rest with titanium
Im flying a Freelancer Max, what do you think is the best thing to keep hauling?
I’d say laranite or beryl, I see usually 60-110 of laranite and you can definitely fill that with beryl
This is a helpful chart @amber garden made
So I've been hauling beryl but as I only have a taurus I am not making much at all is there a point in doing it without a c2?
Taurus can still make money hauling, C2 just makes more
It’s not really a fair comparison
You have a shielded compartment 😉
newb ? but im the only one inside SCD1 that i can see and when the gold respawns it drops to 0 faster than i can buy it. Are the sites linked to 1 pool of gold or like can some ships buy good without leaving the ship?
It's linked to all the servers, so someone on another server is buying it. Incredibly stupid design but that's how it is
wow... thanks
Damn so it looks like from the ISC today we still won't be getting cargo hauling missions in 3.20 :/ They better at least fix the stock because otherwise trading is going to come to a dead standstill with everyone trying to fill their new Hull C
When I land on a moon landing pad, sometimes my ship says (uninitialized) do I have to call landing services or something?
That just means it's turned off
Just got my membership card for this channel 🙂
Same except I went the Caterpillar route
Are there any ships that have grids for the small boxes? Like the revenant tree pollen
I got two questions.
How do you reliably upgrade Prospectors saddle bags with Mole's, ideally step by step process.
And how do you change Mining laser head and it's modules in the field?
- Unlock the ports and take it out, while not having it rented.
- Unlock the ports and rip it off, while not having it rented
...that's about it
Granted I never bothered with trying to do so
But where do I carry modules?
Welcome to the club! Use it wisely.
I had assisted a Mole in upgrading and never actually tried to see about stealing wrecked Prospector/Mole modules for my own... since I rented
Loud Guns on yt has video of the process. It's a bit complicated.
Ship inventory with tractor beam for install.
Wtf, okay, I'll check guy out.
Can you fit the small cSCU crates into a large loot container?
Not sure but I heard you can put smaller backpacks into larger backpacks. Will test this later.
Just grab a mole salvage contract, take the bags off and put them on yours
The other folks are correct in saying that you need to unlock the ports and swap out the bags with your tractor beam. There is one last step though. When you swap them out and store your ship you must go into your loadout manager and switch something on the ship (could be the mining head, modules guns, just anything) and save the loadout. If you don't do this the bags will disappear. Hope this helps
hello i dont know anything about cargo and want to give it a try, is there a simple up to date guide to start ?
lol i have 6auec because i bough a ton of stuff hopefully no pirates come along
That is a critical failing, and you'd best be incredibly lucky to not have to pay for it
Don't buy what you can't afford to lose
Hey man 6 bucks gets you 2 cruz he’s got more than enough
Pirates are busy with Jumptown
Might be able to try to sneak into ghost hollow now that JT is back
Maaybe? Depends where is JT active at.
Arccorp rn
Happy hunting at Ghost Hollow then, STALKER.

whats the best cargo ground vehicle
ok
C2 with gold cargo, no one can take 😦
Damn, right on top of the TDD, that's gotta hurt
its really good to find 2 locations where u can buy and sell to each other
constant money
Yeah I found one it's like 190k each time w a c2 idk how good that is tho
That is quite good I got hit by pirates but it was just a 135c load.
anyone know if you can fit two hoverquads in the back of a cutlass black?
yea probably
dunno just how large they are, but the Cutlass just barely held my STV and ROC at same time
Does anyone know how often the commodity terminals at outposts on planets replenish the drug cargo?
Just lost a full C2 of Beryl due to game crash 🙂
f
What website/tool do you guys tend to use for finding trade runs?
Is it against the rules to ask for items here? XD
Guy in my org does trading, they're currently doing runs with titanium in their C2 getting ~130k per run and is looking to improve that (aside from running drugs)
Anything they could do or try to get a bit more from it?
What should I be selling and buying in a taurus
And u can sell on Grim Hex
Taurus can get reasonable profits with full or partial loads depending on per scu profit. Just be aware that SC Trade Tools expects you to magically be able to full load so it's aUEC per hour will be quite different to actual
I heard people say that site was not that good for routes
i remember using it in 3.17 also and prices were not accurate at all
Well, you have to understand the difference between base and live prices (https://sc-trade.tools/help), but once you do it's very good to find routes. Profit may be lower than displayed, but the routes are sound 🙂
If it doesn't work you, you're free to use the other community tools of course 😄
If I stay in a terminal will it update when something is not out of stock?
Yes
buy, wait, buy, wait, buy, wait, buy wait 🙂 Now you have C2 full of gold worth 5,5m 🙂
Which you paid like 4m for and 30k on the way to sell it rinse and repeat
Nah but seriously I'm saving for a c2 now
Making like 220k each run
300+ if you will do longer run - i would say do it - you are making more (taking return cargo or not) and have time to replenish 🙂
Where do I make that much? I'm on micro ATM
to crusader TDD
Would I buy some cargo while I'm there to sell back at micro also or just make my way back?
you can do trip - micro - crusader - hurston - hurston - micro 🙂 If there is gold you do not need to leave Microtech at all 🙂
So I sell gold from micro to crusader what do I buy at crusader to sell at Huston?
no
Sorry I'm new to this
you go sto SMO18 on micro and sell on micro TDD (6 min travel and 200k profit with Freelancer MAX) 🙂
1m with C2, but you need to invest large buck and you will be attacked 2/10 time while starting 🙂
Y'all know pirates watch this chat, right?
Yes that's the route I do now
yup 🙂
what do you think all trades do when they are bored with traiding? ::)
- not worth time to travel there (with gold there is small diff)
I got to the Laranite first!!! evil laugh
Danni over here running the sc economy single handedly
On 3.2m ATM so close to getting my own c2
is sc-tools for trade routes updated? Cause it recommends shubin with gold but there is not any gold there
How much would it cost to fill a C2 with scrap and what would profit be like lol
Mining Calculator, Trade, Prices, Risks, Profitability, Mass to SCU Converter, Ships List, SCU, Prices and more
55 uec/SCU profit, so not much
40/50k profit a load
Idk what trade routes to do, the ones on sc-tools is outdated alot, and its confusing
i have a hull a
That’s actually not bad tbh
Nope does not take to long either, not the most fun runs but it’s a pretty chill way of earning some cash
Yeah I’m all for chill cargo runs tbh lol I might try that out
What’s your usual cargo ship at the start of a wipe and what do you go for as you have more and more auec?
I usually do runs in a Freelancer Max but I wonder if it’s worthwhile to have anything larger
I have a freelancer max and a c2, so it’s more about what I fancy flying really lol
Yeah that’s fair absolutely
High value small loads I use the max, c2 I use for low value bulk runs
Would you recommend pledging the C2? Or just earn it in game?
It’s never worth pleadging for anything other than a starter ship, I’m lucky I have a ok job with overtime so it gives me some disposable income
I was thinking about going for the Hull B in the future since it’s 384 scu and soloable
Yeah I have a good chunk of change in the game and I melt re-pledge ships accordingly
If you want to buy a cargo ship with store credit the Taurus is the only one that's really worth it, it has one of the highest value/$ of any pledge ship and it's big enough you can grind up to a C2 pretty quickly
Yeah the Taurus is an amazing ship
Has a ton of SCU, tons of firepower, beyond worth it
Shame it’s so ugly, I melted mine and got the max lol, coudlent stand the look of the front half of the Taurus
LOL fair, I have to say it's really grown on me though. Especially with the orange heron paint
It looks industrial af
Yeah I’m not a complete fan of the constellation series but they definitely have their place in the game
Taurus definitely is my favorite though
Orange on any cargo ship just works so well idk why lol
I'm honestly a big fan of the MAX. Lots of little things about it make it a joy to run cargo with
Dude I wish the raft carried as much as the Taurus, the orange on that ship looks so sick
I don't even like the color orange that much but it's just the right color
The RAFT is an awesome looking ship hopefully we see another large cargo ship from Argo
I honestly love the design of all of their ships I just want a bit more bang for my buck
The Freelancer Max has been one of my favorite ships for quite some time
What's Beryl selling for? tnx Value i have 2726 UEC refined per SCU
Anyone got a guide on making a decent profit with C2 cargo runs
wdyd when you bring a ship in to make a sale, leave it in the hangar, go to the tdd and terminal shows no inventory for the ship
last time i tried storing the ship after encountering this, it destroyed it
Just run beryl to TDDs, I use UEX to find where its sold
What about Fatlancer?
for trade loops, should i invest all of my uec or only like 50% of it (note i have around 90k)
Only 50% just in case you crash get pirated or whatever the case is
Gotta always have some cash to do more trading
alright thanks
No problem
if my game crashed when I was hauling cargo what should i do?
If your game crashed, the ship is gone
The game only has protection against 30k, not game crashes
wait ten mins, log back in, go to a asop term, check your ship, if location shows as unknown, do not claim the ship, do other things, normally in 24 hours or so it will make its way to your home location with the cargo intact, this has been the case for me when ever ive had a game crash etc
Sometimes if you log back in immediately you'll spawn back in the cockpit of your ship
It wasnt a 30k so i just took the loss :/
depends of time of run and cost you need to pay
True I’m not insanely focused on profits I just love the trading experience for the most part you know seeing different locations and what not
Getting into this whole Osoian Hide thing but did not find that entry in Trade Tools but it seems the scrapyards will buy them. UEX also no listing. Weird.
What's the trick to make am SCU box? I self destructed my avenger outside PO with 4 white undersuits and two helmets in the inventory and my body was there but no box that I could find.
2 Pembroke armors, blow vehicle up. Pretty sure self destruct won't work.
Well, 2 armors will make a 2scu, 1 armor makes a 1scu...
So I have to shoot it to blow it up? It wont give me a crimestat ir it's my own ship right?
I apologize if this question is asked a million times, but why is gold always out of stock or only regen to like 20 SCU?
extremely low replenish rate and only 2 places total that have it at all
Damn. So not the best comodity choice.
Would you have a recommendation for a better one?
legal commodity is never worth until taurus and up imo
Others are buying it too.
you can get away with freemax/msr with something like diamonds/laranite or something but basically any other loop is way better at that point
constellation taurus
The restock is diminished if others in other servers are also buying
when a restock happens theres like a grace period before it disappears and goes back to 0 across servers
Huh.
It should be across all servers. Unknown if it's local to server type or across all server types
was responding to pfeffer. So basically, when a restock happens at an outpost
Damn.
theres a few moments
where it is in stock across all servers regardless how many people are staring at the screen waiting
so if a restock happens, 2 players in different servers are waiting
both will get it
Hmmm. Is there a commodity you would recommend as lucrative and doesn't take an eternity?
for what ship
Scrap or Beryl
M2
beryl
Depending on how much you care to profit
Eh it's enough to make steady small gains
