Cargo size is too small.... It's quite the irony right now, that to make any sort of profit, you need to invest millions into large ships and cargo....

This, you can make money, so if you want to test out the loop, do so. But for profit versus time, the rate is bad on small loads versus pretty much any other loop.

3.18 cargo question. Let’s say org/party and we transfer crates from a Vulture to a Hull-A. Can the Hull-A pilot sell that cargo (to distribute the funds back to the salvage team)? So basically, how does the cargo ownership work.

I've heard they can so long as they are in a party together with the owner of the vulture that collected it.

I heard that you can still sell it without being in a party but it will sell for less, as it is assumed to be pirated.

Take with a grain of salt as this is just what I've read from other people in here, I cannot verify as I'm still trying to convince the homies to get this game.

the risk is for sure much much higher on trading, especially when you start to move huge loads of goods

since you know, you have to pay upfront with your own money

so pirates, server bugs, random tree jumping out to tackle you, will all risk taking both your life and goods from you

-46 SCU Cargo
-Have space for a ROC
-Has VTOL mode
-Will have a tractor beam in the future, soonTM
-Has 4 S3 weapons + 2 S3 weapons for the turret, making it extremely good for bounty hunting (till VHRTs, if you are a good pilot, constantly switch between 100% shields/100% weapons during fights, and you don't use gimbals).
-1-3 Crew members

You can technically do VHRTs even with gimbals, BUT the size of your weapons will be S2 instead of S3, thus loosing a big chunk of DPS

You can put items inside a cave, but you’d have to be able to get back into that exact same server everyday. You’d also have to worry about NPC’s spawning for someone else’s mission, or for NPC ships spawning above the cave because of a bounty mission

In 3.17 I waited about 10 minutes. You can try to wait for a third restock but it's best to move on to another Vice selling spot. I am just getting into testing on 3.18.

I was stalled from getting more scrap panels with the Vulture last 2 tries so tried the ship as a drug runner. Scored both etam and Widow on two sites then sold to Devlin's all went well with a 56K net profit. Due to the small cargo space did not stay for a second purchase but that's probably the best way to handle this ship. Love flying this!!

Damn you got a Carrack? Nice, with its 456 SCU you can really do marvels, with such huge amount of space you are likely not able to fill your ship at a single place. If I were you, I would get Agricium from several mining stations around Stanton and sell it to a TDD (like MicroTech TDD)

30K seem to not affect cargo atm (I had two 30Ks while trading, but my cargo was still there!), but take what I say with an excavator's worth of salt.

You only have to mind about pirates tbh, even tho I don't think they could do something to you with your shields tbf, I never owned a Carrack so dunno tbh

With the fact 30K does not affect anymore cargo, I feel a lot more safe and relaxed tbh, obviously you need to watch out other people

Smuggling drugs is really profitable imho, at least for entry levels

I've been playing for 2 days and I reached almost 1.5M aUEC, considering I started with 200K aUEC already I made 1.3M aUEC with 13 trips, each of roughly +100K aUEC profit. Each run took around 20-30mins, counting some 30K errors that wasted a little bit of my time (but not cargo luckily).

Mostly it's just interesting to get into and do a bit as well, takes you to some places you'd never see normally.

Trading is gambling, and during all the trading process you need to have some good safe habits and constantly need to be aware of your surroundings. Leaving your ship doors open can be a fatal mistake, because a person can easily steal your ship AND your goods. Something that you really really want to avoid.

This is why imho trading will finally be a good alternative to other professions, you only need to watch out other people. I'm not in an Org, but there are some people that are willing to defend you (or at least try to defend you) from pirates. Most of the times, nothing happens but defenders are always paid, even if they didn't attack no one at all.

Basically they need to keep the pirate busy for you to QT elsewhere

That's actually a good question, unfortunately I don't have an answer for it because it didn't happen to me, or at least it happened and there was the 30K protection and I didn't know it. I'm EU server, and when the server had 30K I always put myself in EU server, never changed to a different one

The main thing to know with 30k protection is that when you log back in right away, your ship will not be stored. It will offer you to "claim" and you DO NOT CLAIM

YOu have to wait until the ship is "stowed" on the server from the replication layer and shows as "stored". It may be stored at your home location, don't claim just go to its location and call it. The cargo will be there.

Just don't go near secure areas and it's unlikely you'll be hit for a scan. If you do, just run and pay off at a terminal in grim hex

Worst case scenario you pick up some more CS and store your cargo at GH, then go clear your CS at kareah or take the prison hit(wouldn't recommend this with elevators at prison sometimes broken)

In that smuggling vid I suggest a Tigersclaw as part of your personal gear if you plan to be "spicy" as in if you plan to fuck someone over and take their cargo

I got the terminal to work, but apparently running down the stairs from the outpost back to my C2, I tripped and died.... So there sits my C2, full off half of credits worth of cargo and I respawn back at my respawn point... I grab my MSR, haul ass back to Ita, ship is still there. Land, run out and then realize....I am in my hospital gown. Fuck it, I can make it. Call down the C2 elevator and die as I watch it lower into place... So now it's sitting there with a fortune inside AND the elevator is now down.

Respawn again PUT ON A SUIT. Call my nomad, hual ass back again. Still there. Exit nomad...suffacting...AGAIN. I know for a fucking fact I put on a suit this time.... Get back into my Nomad with 73% health left. Server didn't register my suit on...I am naked. Fuck.... Well...my origional body that died walking down stairs is still over there...it has a suit. Land right next it, exit, get the fuckin thing on with 11% health left. Get my C2 over to loreville and landed, but the server is now not registering the cargo that is aboard at the sell terminal. I know it's there, because I saw it on the elevator ride down inside the loreville hanger. lmao

I've not had a chance to flush out the impact with ROC mining but you will find that the PES is working pretty good. The issue is that to reclaim some of your stuff you will need to be back on the original shard. Hopefully shard matching isn't too far away. Otherwise, for cargo, the claim is much like the 30K heartbeat system of earlier

I had to leave two sites and later someone told me to click the "Buy" button ONCE only and wait for it to activate. But instead I had spammed it. Later at a site I bought 415 SCU of Tungsten but only cleared 21K profit so these low tier trade items don't add up to much. For basic cargo go to Trade Tools or EUC and experiment with buying the top 8 items only on a route of your choosing and see how fast you make money. For the Vice see the DM info I am sending.

With drugs you don't need a huge cargo, they sell in low quantities, cargo around 40-50SCU are the best fit for drug smuggling

With a Cutty black it's amazing, you can defend yourself, but NOT that much, a 400i as D3coupled suggested is way better

Because of the shield size you are more tanky and it means you have more time to gtfo with QT

But yeah, hauling GIANT (150+SCU) amounts of goods feel nice and actual trading, with more profitable gains. It means it is riskier tho, imagine loosing a full Caterpillar filled with Agricium... Oh boy

Also, partial wipe has been CONFIRMED, DON'T BUY with aUEC new ships till 3.18.1

Tbh I'd not risk buying a new ship now, especially when a wipe has been confirmed, they need to be more specific about what is considered as acquired item (Objects? Armor? Guns? Even a ship can be considered an item at this point) and not vague

Thing is, they are entitled to do everything, they didn't want to make a soft wipe but seems the issues forced them to do so, and it could happen an additional wipe could be needed, this game is a gamble itself like trading, you are never in green until the very end
