today my friends and i listened to a podcast but i'm curious if i would be able to count it in my scrobbles for fm bot

As long as they end up on last.fm somehow fmbot will count them. I'm not aware of any Webscrobblers that will do it but on android any app that can scrobble from the media controller can scrobble podcasts. Though if you use Spotify for podcasts I guess you'll need to turn it on specifically for when you do that since the connector doesn't contain podcasts as far as I know.

the podcast does exist on last fm but when i try adding the link it won't let me. what do you mean by "as long as it ends up there"?

What resource do you use to listen to the podcast? Last.fm isn't really a podcast streaming service so I'd assume you used something different

Yes. Then you need to find a way to scrobble those. If you're on android the last.fm app should work (or scroball or any of the other ones). If you're on your computer you can probably use Webscrobbler in the browser but I'm not sure. Haven't used that for anything Spotify related.
If you use the desktop application of Spotify on windows you're probably out of luck.
