Using Spotify and tracking is out of sync?

.fmbot uses your Last.fm account for knowing what you listen to.
Unfortunately, Last.fm and Spotify sometimes have issues keeping up to date with your current song, which can cause .fm and other commands to lag behind the song you're currently listening to.

First, .fmbot is not affiliated with Last.fm. Your music is tracked by Last.fm, and not by .fmbot. This means that this is a Last.fm issue and not an .fmbot issue. We can't fix it for you, but we can give you some tips that worked for others.

Some things you can try that usually work:

• Restarting your Spotify application
• Disconnecting and reconnecting Spotify in your Last.fm settings

Are you using Spotify desktop? I had a bug with that recently where nothing played counted for anything even though all other devices with Spotify scrobbled just fine

I did everything that the bot told me to do but it still won’t work 😭

something that usually worked for me is the following:
--> disconnect spotify scrobbling from your applications on last.fm
--> log out of your account on spotify (but stop the music first)
--> wait a few minutes then log into your spotify
--> recconect spotify in your applications on last.fm

and on the bot

you can simply re login
