Sometimes when scrobbling it'll double scrobble but other times it just scrobbles normally. It's starting to get pretty confusing because I don't know why it sometimes double scrobbles and sometimes doesn't. I've heard about web scrobbler or whatever but I don't even know what that is or how to disable it if I have it. It's staring to get annoying having to delete them all the damn time. Any way I can stop this once and for all? (also ignore the ad, it'll sometimes scrobble ads if they're 30 seconds or longer)
#Why does last.fm occasionally double scrobble?

I actually might know why
Do u have both Spotify and last fm app connected to same profile?
wdym?
If u use Spotify on last fm settings do u have you your Spotify connected to last fm
im gonna need images because I'm very lost here
oh yeah i do
Well there lies the problem
So basically this what happens
If u have two sources recieving your data
Ocasionally last fm will double scrobble
So solve that u just need to uninstall the last fm on your phone
Well in that case if everything is okay on last fm side u will still have your scrobbles and it wont be duplicated
No need to do that really. You can go into the settings of the last.fm app and turn off scrobbling there. Tap your profile picture in the to righg and you get to your screen
Yeah i actually noticed that the other day when last fm was down. But still there is like no advantage in having the app installed
Phone calls
I like the way it presents data to me without going to the website and I use it to scrobble other sources because I've never liked pano and the other apps people use.
Also a good way of quickly checking that scrobbling isn't broken again
Anything that generates a notification drawer could in theory be scrobbled...
Thats true. But when i download the app it only shows Spotify as a possible source for the scrobbles
I dont like the interface is kinda weak at least for me
New ones show up after you use them since it autoadds them when it detects them rather than scanning your device for media apps which I honestly feel is a better way to do it.
And I'm 40+, the interface is clean and unflashy just like I like my things 😂
