New event: Apex Dragon Assault

It’s my posting. We really need a filter when we want to use the catalyst. When we want to choose a specific dragon or egg, we need to scroll through hundreds of dragons or eggs. We should be able to choose by element or name. Especially the eggs are difficult to recognize.
And as a Feedback: it’s always nice to get a new event, which isn’t boring. There’s many different things to do, fight against that overpowered Triberus, first thinking it’s impossible to defeat, but then advance and finally be proud to have defeated the big bad boss. And the event is not finished after this, there are moc to keep us playing.
However we really should have had a guide before starting, especially since we can’t change the chosen dragons. Lucky me just chose a Divine on the first position of each team, which turned out to be very helpful, but others just chose random dragons (lacking information) and got frustrated. We didn’t know each of those element teams had to be a team on their own, it could also have been that we had to do some fights and choose one dragon out of the three elements to form a team. So one Earth, one Water and one Fire dragon. We were a bit lost at the beginning without any information given in advance. But of course I understand it’s difficult to find time.
I‘m looking forward to the next of these events, it’s an entertaining one 
What I also dislike about this is the 6 hour reset.
The ruins take 6 hours to complete (on hard mode that is) and you are forcing me to use the relics to early complete them.
Also: a bit of preparation could have enabled me to do the 1 sigil campaign battle - I am used to always do all 4 at once, and once again I am forced to change my gameplay habits.
Actually, being forced by the game changes to change an established habit is a big NO-NO for me.
On the bright side: I like the overall idea of 3 different teams that work together to bring down the overwhelming opponent.
It’s just too “dungeon-like” for me to fully enjoy it, but that’s just because I hate the dungeon
I have a lot to talk about this event. So let's do it one by one:
- Overall Concept: The concept is unique. The big bad boss of Esperno, Triberus with different skills and the temples to disable them one by one, the maps with 3 different paths for 3 teams, moving the dragon totems like a chess piece- I like it. The event itself has a lot of potential. But the main reward being only the catalyst isn't enough imo. It must include at least a new dragon. The event is centered around evil Triberus. So some sinisteric dragon/s with a completely new dark element exclusive to this boss event only would've been a nice touch. Or how about some boss dragons with special skills? Or just some regular boss dragons with no skill will be fine too as long as they are new. We don't get them from anywhere other than buying outright with gems. So this event would've been perfect place to put them. I know this is only the first run of this apex event but somehow there were already 3 perfect dragons for this concept (Shacklemor, Voxsoria and Calvarose). Guess what? They all ended up as bundles

- Reset timer and clash with other events: I believe this is the most crucial part to look into. Recently we had change in reset timer. Everything shifted to 3 hours earlier. Personally I liked the previous reset timer, but it's still fine. So I was wondering, was this apex event rushed? Apart from some small bugs in tasks, it doesn't look unfinished, but still, it wasn't necessary to run 2 major events at the same time. Having the divine castle event as well as this apex fight together is a disaster. On top of that, both has 6 hours resets. I keep forgetting that there's a treasure hunt event running too. Thankfully it has 12 hour resets which is saving me from missing shovels. During the 1st week of apex event, there was a dragon’s delight event with 8 hours reset. Now imagine playing all of them together. My point is, we don't need these many events running at the same time. It'd only cause burnout and nightmares. It would've been fine if the divine event happened later or vice versa. As for the reset timer, a 12 hour reset time would help everyone. This has been brought up before who knows how many times. A 12 hour reset is possible and we've already seen it in dragon board events. The dragon oracle event also has a refill of 1 energy in every 2 hours which is very helpful. So I believe the team can do it. A 12 hours reset timer for everything will settle down the timer issue.
- Apex tasks:
- The catch creature task is fine as long as it doesn't clash with another catch creature task😂 yes, there are small bugs since it is clashing with the same task in castle event. So I believe it can be fixed.
- Pet dragons task, earning kos in dungeon and win fights in sigil campaign are all ok (please don't experiment on them further).
- The exploring ruin task is problematic. After the ruin update, many players can't explore some of them or none at all because their dragons aren't high level enough. So what to do if one can't explore the ruins? They are forced to level up their dragons? So what if they don't want to level them up? It wasn't something absolutely necessary, not until this ruin update went live. I myself wasn't going to level them up either (yet). But soon my ruins will level up and I'll be unable to send dragons to almost all of them. Food and relics of exploration aren't infinite. Each ruin exploration gives 100 points. So exploring 5 ruins every 6 hours- yeah I'm managing it with relics of exploration. It'd be helpful if this task is removed and replaced by a different task. Or exploring just 1 ruin for 500 points (like the sigil campaign fight) won't be that bad either.
- The arena has been in chaos since a long time. All because of those level 100 bundle dragons. Facing hard difficulty fights again and again is frustrating. We need to win 3 fights to get 500 points. Sometime I wasted over 10 energies only because I faced those level 100 dragons. My top dragon is level 75, there's no way I can win. The arena energies aren't infinite either. Fixing the level scaling in arena (I doubt that's going to happen) or simply just adjusting the task will help. Do 3 battles in arena, winning not being necessary.
- The bonus task is visually
bugged(fixed) for now. It's not a big issue. But still, a variety of easier tasks other than exploring a ruin or winning a hard/medium difficulty arena fight would be nicer.
- My team choice: I am one of those who uses 9 dragons in their team. One can use upto 12 dragons in dungeon, so surely, why not? I like the wider choice of dragon team for the expedition. But the element being restricted to fire, water and earth only is a bit bothersome. There are 16 elements in game, which brings the question: will it be different element restrictions in future apex events? If it is, it'll cause a big issue in future. In fact, it's already causing now to those players who doesn't use 3+ dragons in their team and on top of that, the element restrictions. Either sticking to fire, water and earth in all future events or the restriction being limited to at least 2 elements (like the divine castle events) for each path would make it so much better.
- Map contents: The mines that produces food are basically useless. Either a sufficient amount or different mines for different resources would be nicer. As for the chests, how about making a MOC for each kind of chests? As Angelo said, different players needs different resources. I'm personally lacking legendary soulstones. But since there's only 9 such chests in the whole map, I ended up only getting it once. As for the dead end paths, some aren't visible to the end. A better view would be helpful for the players who mistakenly chose the wrong paths.
- Triberus: The boss has 6 different skills and 6 temples to disable them. But it's possible to defeat him even without taking down one single temple. It's hard, but possible. Looking at the event duration, it's awkward for the main event to be over this soon. So how about making the boss invulnerable to metal skill, any boosters like dragon furies and the sigil synergies? Triberus fight is made in such a way so that you'll need multiple attempts to defeat him. So make the temples necessary to destroy. Not all 6, but at least half of them. Even if you destroy all 6 temples, Triberus's heads has still their own elements (fire, wind and water) but the damage dealt is noticeable. What's the point of making those temples if you can still defeat Triberus without them?
- Catalyst: 55 free level ups for upto 3 dragons. But it'd be great if the choice on the number of dragons is extended to upto 9 dragons (because we can use 9 dragons in the event itself). So I was wondering, in future different catalysts will have different rewards? This free level up one isn't bad. As for the special skill being applicable to unhatched dragons only is pointless. What about those who already have enough dragons in their team? Adding more dragons just to apply this it? Thankfully it's not that great of a skill. But still, it'd be great if adult dragons are eligible too in future, otherwise it's either going to rot away in inventory or can't be used to it's maximum potential.
- Shop and milestones: The shop is the worst part of this event. Every major event has at least some dragons to get for free. But what am I supposed to get here? "Meet the new contents!" More like: meet the new bundles! And they are exclusive to this apex event. Not one, but all 3 of them are p2w? At least let these dragons have some self respect! The whole "dragons" tab is pointless. Why are the permanent offers purchasable with gems only? This event could've had it's own currencies to spend in the shop, just like the summoner shards in other month long events. An event that gives no new dragons is meaningless for me.
As for the milestone, I'm already done reaching the final reward and the event is only halfway now. So maybe the milestones can be extended (or not if the resets becomes 12 hours).
This is just horrible interface placement - I would very much like any future version to have this bar where the element selector is (in front of all dragons)
On a little side note, Idk if it's just me but I have a habit of tapping on the red ❌ to exit. But in this case, it's not gonna work. I have to exit from the task bar first. So making the task bar permanently visible like dragon board and just one big exit button would make it better.
Oh, yeah. For this one I clicked so many times on the big red X only to realize I have to close first the small window and only after that I can close the other one too.
Even after all this while I am still doing this at least once a day
There should be a way to grind sigils(or sigil chests) next time.
For the catalyst, it could have a lot of potential in future apex events, depending on the skill it gives. Seeing the 75% chance to perform a perfect hit, I came up with some suggestions which could be actually useful. How about making some not so useful dragon skills actually useful? Healing from healing light : 10% --> 80% for 1-3 dragons. Or increasing the chances of Dazzling Aura: 15% -->60%, En Garde absorbing incoming DAS damages 20% --> 60%, POT 25% --> 80% etc. These are just random numbers I came up with. Ofc it won't be possible in one go and one person have to use multiple catalysts. But this would actually make some skills like healing light useful.
but wouldnt that only benefit certain dragons? how about buffs to the skills by a set percentage
That's exactly what I meant. Not every dragon should benefit from this. It should be upto the players in which particular dragon they want to use it
hmmm but if a catalyst is going to buff a few skills at a time, what if you have a dragon that has 3 elemnts that all will be buffed?
One at a time is what I meant. Buffing all 3 together will be too OP. Anyway, it's a suggestion, not a feedback so I'd better stop

Being able to grind supreme soulstones from the chests is really amazing.Please keep it for the next assault event.
Something needs to put in place to use the energy on once Triberus is defeated.

totally agree with many of the suggestions above. The arena hard/medium battle bonus task really has to be delete or reconsider reword... better to ask the arena battle without the level of difficulty. For high player level players, esp ones with level 135, all legendary sigils, i dare you that it is impossible for them to find hard arena battle at the best of time. Then, for low level players, they simply too weak to fight 90% of hard battles. And ruin task as mentioned above, is hard for many players, as many can not even do all 6 ruin runs as a start, and those that can, not everyone can do all 6 hr hard ruin runs... and not everyone can afford to spend relics to skip time, and many players still have problem with watching ads to skip time. Can consider reduce from 5 ruin per 6 hr to say 3 ruin per 6 hr reset, then make it more friendly for everyone. And yes, seriously need to consider allowing players to continue to use the apex energy once you defeat the big dragon, or let players exchange it for food/ other items, or apex parts so can spend on the moc chests. At the start of the apex assault event, many players were getting many gem offering opening the moc chests, but over time, it is pretty obvious that dml has changed the odds, and many chest openings are giving pitiful rewards only for the effort it take to collect the apex parts.

I would like to ad this observation from Dusk. It was a comment when you want to choose an egg for the catalyst:
I checked. Only whole dragons are visible. Dragons that have pieces aren't appearing. Those that have pieces but you got them as whole, not by pieces, are appearing too
That means, we aren’t even able to select all eggs. Someone who wants to put those 55 levels on the new Castle dragon isn’t able to, it’s not showing up. It must be a bug, there’s no good reason to restrict the choice of possible eggs.
It’s already very difficult to find e specific dragon without filter when you have hundreds (or 1000+) dragons or eggs, this restriction even makes it worse. You scroll through the entire long list to finally find out, the dragon isn’t even listed. There is space for optimizations 
I love the fact that unlike the castle event the rewards just automatically get claimed unlike castle event where you gotta place a button. Also reward good like +10 arena energy? thas awesoem.
Frustrating thing is sometimes chest reward is bad (this definitely just me) also trying to get thousands of the event currency (i forgot the name) is kind of painful, i'm trying to go to one of the temples and yeah it gets so expensive i would just go for chests on other paths.
Honestly slight reduction of like the price to go to new tiles (This probably just me again) would be cool (like just slightly. not even by a lot lol. from 1000 to maybe 950?) yeah that's probably just me not being good and stuff
My feedback is based on what I have read in the Apex discussion channel and I did not miss any post for the entire duration of the event. So bear with me, this will be long.
This event was amazing, a fresh new breath into Dragolandia.
I appreciate that instead of launching another element we get this type of very complex event.
I mean if you use only the 8 basic elements as requirements, there are 56 possible unique combination events, if they are all used, that number goes to 560 so it has a great potential but it all depends on implementation.
For now even people that were not able to defeat Triberus were able to get some good rewards and everyone could choose a different gameplay for the event.
The fact that everyone got the Catalyst at the end, with the levels that they manage to infuse it was also a good thing and will allow people that are too concerned about messing up their team to participate in the event with limited powers but still get something at the end.
Even though there is no dragon reward and we work for 3 weeks for 55 levels of a dragon I still consider it ok, but a lot of people don't.
I was a bit disappointed that the skill only applies to eggs, so the old players cannot benefit of that as we already have a lot of dragons at high levels and not too many eggs, or at least not many useful eggs as we tend to hatch immediately the eggs that we want to use and keep in inventory the useless ones as for Legendary and others.
Maybe a balance for that would be to give less levels but apply to either egg or dragon already hatched and leveled up.
Another way to fix that would be that one event we get Catalyst that gives 55 levels up and the next event we get a Catalyst that we can withdraw all levels from a dragon and make it an Egg.
Another disappointment was that the chances for PH of the skill split in 3 if you use it on 3 eggs, which is already a very big waste of food to use it on one egg, but on 3it's even more so.
The even bigger disappointment is the 6h resets, combined with the modifications for the starts of the events with 3 h earlier.
Only that could spell a lot of trouble for keeping players in the game, especially those from the east coast and central of North and South America countries. Not sure where the money are coming from in this game but you might loose some of these players as 1 reset is starting at 11:00 pm and ends at 5:00 am, during the summer. Most people are sleeping at these times and losing one reset per day, every day, won't make it possible to get the main reward. 8hours resets would help the team in Hanoi as well as it will help the players to sleep a bit better and enjoy the game.
Also the lack of information was severe in this event, we kept speculating in the chat and answering speculations that people might not get the Catalyst at all if they did not defeat Triberus when in fact that was true and people got the Catalyst at the end with the levels they managed to infuse. I think it was easier for everyone if we knew.
That shard that doubled the energy had no description at all and people were considering buying it after they finished Triberus, only to contact CC and ask for refund when they discovered it has no use. There was also a speculation about that shard that you might need to buy it once for all Apex events. We still don't know if that's true or not.

Just as a conclusion here is how I see this event in the future:
- The 3 paths remain but converge in the same point where you can easily pick one of the 3 MOC that have different rewards (trinkets for mats vs trinkets for sigils, L soulstones vs S or E soulstones). If you open one path, that should be enough to get you access to all 3 MOCs
- The 3 required elements will change every time
- The Catalyst rewards alternates between the one that gives levels and the one that removes levels from your dragons, down to transforming them in eggs so that we can use the Catalyst with skill on them
- The skill needs to be attractive because the last one was very weak and broken as it could hit PH even when you tried to miss and land on red area. Useful skills would be: %chance to Dazzle opponents, %chance to steal their buffs, %chance to hit one more time after KO, %chance to retaliate, %chance to burn their shield, %chance to remove negative effects from itself, %chance to heal the entire team
- Fix splitting the skill in 3 when used for 3 eggs, after all you can only apply once and when you apply it on 3 eggs you basically lose so much food. I think the skill should not be split at all
- Fix the quests for arena and exploration, a lot of people had troubles with those
- For the ruins I would say fix the ruins in the end as it makes no sense to need lv.135 to explore a ruin that gives few more gems from time to time. I already stopped exploring and only explore when absolutely necessary, the same will happen for many others
- Fix the select options and search for dragons on the Catalyst interface
Some people ask for a way to spend energy after but maybe just add a new boss that gives a different set of resources and can only be fought with the energies remained after defeating Triberus.
Some people complained about the balance of the rewards, with some saying they are too good and they should be reduced, other were asking for the reduction of the steps costs, but I am sure for this one you will analyze data and take measures even if we do not ask.
Another nice to have it would be 8h events, especially after they were changed to help the team, everyone feels their game was messed up just to help the new team at our expense and our sleep. I have played few resets from 11:00 pm but with multiple events going and having to finish the dungeon I get to bed a bit after 11:30 and because the dungeon amps me up, I fall asleep very well after 12:00. In the morning I have to wake up early to go to work so this last week of the event was really rough and I will surely give up on playing the events if I will have to continue like that. Buying the generators will not make it up for loosing a reset every day so there will be no incentive to buy that one either. I know we asked for a longtime for 8h resets but maybe the time is right now to ask again.

I couldn't close it, and I didn't know if the item would be saved if I closed the game, so I was forced to use it, and as a consequence, the balance of my dragons was broken (choosing poorly was my mistake, but I wanted to leave the item for later, I just couldn't).
Flagros was at lvl 92, and Solum at lvl 71. I wanted to grind more Solum before actually using it, but I couldn't.
The balance has been completely destroyed, and it will take me a year or more to repair it. I need 560,000,000 worth of food.
Bell Blooom (normal dragon), Legion ( using Catalyst egg +17 level). I fed them three times, why did they reach different level-bar?
I don’t think it’s related to the apex event at all.
This looks more like one of the many visual inconsistencies
Related to the Apex event, I thought of some more useful skills to add to the Catalyst, %chance to resist burnout, %chance to avoid direct/indirect damage (without having Evasion sigil), %chance to inflict a certain percentage more to the opponents. And there can be many others inspired from sigils or masteries of any element in the game.
Well, here are my last thoughts about this Apex event:
After seeing multiple people concerned (in diffrent channels) about messing up with their Dungeon teams in case the event will ask for another set of element, I am also very conflicted about participating in future events. I started the game more than 10 years ago and I was patient to have a great team at that time made of multiple Legendary dragons that became obsolete and it took me a very long time to change it. At one point I even considered selling them but I found out the game is not scaling back the power of opponents and it still takes into consideration your highest power dragons ever.
So after so much work I'm not sure if I want to start again the journey of going to change the team again and being at a very high level with my dragons now, it will take even much more time than last time so if a change will not be implemented to be able to reset our teams to an egg or atleast withdraw some levels from them and scale back the oponents to what we currently have, I will simply ignore this event, the same way I ignored the Sigil map for few years until I changed my team.
Even Sigils are messing up our teams and just playing and testing an epic Sigil for example on only one dragon will mess up for good the entire team for a long time.
I took the time to read and understand these things but most players just don't understand why everything is working badly and they end up quitting the game because of the frustration.
Now I understand the need to prevent abuse but there are other ways to do that instead of locking our opponents to the highest team we ever had, but this affects the entire game and gameplay so I won't get into more details as I'm trying to focus here on Apex.
The sure way to burry this event alive
-Keep the same gameplay where you ask for the same elements from us (so that people with dungeon teams are not messed up) or even more by asking for diffrent elements, and in that case people will participate until they find out that they are messing up their fights. After that they will have few choice: stop participating so they don't mess up even more, participate and get what they can but not do much effort to adjust and quit will be an option considering how much it cost in food and time to fix a high level team.
Even during the APEX there were people that were buying a lv.100 dragon for few $ and then discovered they messed up the entire game play. Selling was not even an option to fix it.
Reverting to an egg is also not an option, so they were stuck. And that is not nice when you made the effort to support the game with real $$$.
-Another thing that can contribute to making the event easy to ignore is keeping the same skill for every Catalyst. Not only that PH is not really giving a noticeable advantage in the game but the skill is also broken because landing on the red area instead of an intended miss, you can get a PH and mess up your strategy
-After all this event only gives some levels to your dragons and for Dungeon, levels are not that important, and the dungeon is still the main gameplay in the game and the place that you can get tickets for all other events, so unles something changes this event will become obsolete very fast despite its great potential to become the most important event in the game.
The sure ways to make Apex a great success
-Offer a scale back and test your team solution and that can be achieved in several ways:
-->the most efective way would be to give the fountain of youth a new level that allows it instead of babifying to just convert to an egg. This will require some planning by the players that have their food at max,in order not to loose the food returned by the eggifying
It will also allow us to use the Catalyst on an egg and loose the great deal of food sor gaining a unique skill for each Catalyst.
In this case it will allow just one skill gained for each dragon as you cannot eggify the dragon without loosing the skill as well, but ofc if the skills will be everytime diffrent it will make the Catalyst so much more desired and in that case people will be willing to rebirth their dragons from the Dungeon team or even level up more dragons that will make their dungeon opponents harder in order to gain a skill that can help them in dungeon and other fights.
-Absolutely necessay is to have other skils for the Catalyst that can give your dragons an advantage in fights like:
-->skill to hit one more time after defeated
-->skill to heal team or itself
-->skill to remove negative effects before thei are applied
-->skill to hit back one or more opponents when attacked or defeated
Basically any mastery from all elements can be one of the skills and for each one we will need an event to obtain, then decide if we apply to 1 or 3 dragons and decide to which dragons will be applied. It will make the game so much more interesting.
This allone can make the game hard to ignore but it can work fine for everyone only in the conjunction with the 1st option to eggify a dragon.
Otherwise, implementing this option without the other will make the game so unfair for the people that already have all the dragons needed for the fights and they do not have too many eggs to obtain and these are the old time players that supported the game for a long time.
There would be anoter way to scale back the dragons amd make them an egg and that would be the Reverse Catalyst that I described in a previous feedback, but that can be a bit more complicated to implement as diffrent people have diffrent levels for their dragons and also diffrrent enchantment levels, it will also make one event about getting a Catalyst to level up and another Catalyst to level down.
I know a concern of the Fountain of Youth solution is the abuse. But that can be prevented by let's say being able to use it only during the 1st day of the month and making the dragon unavailable for anything (fights, explorations, etc) from the moment it entered in the fountain and also by setting the skip timer cost an insane amount of gems like 5-10k gems, or not skippable at all and with a timer higher than 24h.
Conclusions
In any case, I am really anxious to see the changes that will be implemented in this event and I am looking forward for the next one. What will change will have a great impact on many people and their decision to play it hard, casual or ignore.
The sure thing is the potential exists and it can be a good time to implement some changes that are asked for a long time by the players, especially by those that messed up their teams by not knowing the rules or just trying to experiment a bit.
I am even sure that some players that left the game if they can find out about a change that will allow them to fix their teams, will be getting back to the game.
I wish you to make good decisions for the game and players (those will be good decisoins for the company too on a long term) and see you next event.
Ah, and again at the end, I am aware that the chances are small, but I'm still gonna ask. Is there a way to have 8h timers for all events? Especially after the change of the time one of the resets is in the middle of the night and if it stays like this I'm not sure I will gonna participate in many events. For example in this Tyrant event I did not buy the generator because I do not intend to do every reset after 11:00 pm and I definitely will not wake up before 5:00 am just to get it done.
I hope the team is happy with this schedule but there are some players that aren't (like all from the Eaast coast and at least Central from North and South American countries).
