#Feedback about the new update

Dear devs, the community has noticed that you've started listening to your players. But you're making the mistake again by introducing new game elements without consulting the players. Still, it's worth doing sometimes.

I will analyze all the community's grievances in order (why hasn't anyone done this yet?!) umbrahuh

1) 135 dragon's levels and ruin exploration
It's not a bad thing that you're adding new levels to the dragons, just like the last update already added new stars, and brought the Nightmare campaign map to an end in this update. But there are a few questions.

  • First of all, why raise the level of exploration of the ruins? A whole separate topic has been created on this topic in the #game-feedback , but I will repeat the main one. Many experienced players were locked out in 2-3 ruins out of 6 due to the lack of levels for the dragons due to the inability to feed them. And I'm not talking about beginners, who will probably find it twice as difficult to maintain the necessary level of dragons to explore the ruins.
-Secondly, why did we even need to add level 135, new stars, and even more so, create different conditions for feeding dragons depending on their rarity? (now common/rare ones can be fed up to level 120, and then they need to be fed with sacred apples. And so it is with each rarity, with a difference of 5 levels. This is very confusing for experienced players, and even more so for beginners, because __ it is not even written in plain text anywhere__. In general, just think about it, 15 sacred apples for a level 135 dragon per dragon! Previously, it was possible to feed three supreme dragons with so much. It just doesn't make sense... ). And I'm already not talking about the fact that the vast majority of players would hardly ever have reached full dragon leveling at level 120 and 12 stars, not to mention the current 135 levels and 16 stars.
#

The main problem is an increase in the level of ruin exploration, as a result of which many already experienced players can no longer explore the ruins (and there are tasks for exploring ruins in the Weekly Expedition event)
Desired solution is to adjust (decrease) the dragon levels required to explore the ruins, or remove 12-15 exploration levels altogether.

2) New premium starfall "Celestial Whisper" event
It's good that you, devs, have an idea to simplify the acquisition of new dragons in the premium starfall... BUT!
The previous premium starfall "Stellar Blessing" was already based on the investment of real money, that is, it was actually a p2w event. But previously, premium starfall tickets could be obtained in the regular starfall event, and the player could be lucky to drop a new dragon... So Now you've decided to make the premium Starfall a fully paid event? The main question is: WHY? Do you think that ordinary players will be happy to receive new privileges for p2w players? (Answer: NO!) The tickets of the new premium starfall cannot be obtained in the f2p (free) way dragoncry , and the price of a small number of tickets, which does not guarantee the desired reward, is VERY high.

The main problem is the event is only for p2w players
Desired solution - add "Celestial Whisper" premium starfall tickets to the Hero's Journal and regular Starfall drops, or return to the previous "Stellar Blessing" premium starfall format.

3) The "Weekly Expedition" event
Starting from the 10th week of the Weekly expedition (starting on November 21, 2025), there are no more rewards for completing tasks, except for A VERY SMALL number of VIP tickets, DMP points and food, which are given out at the end of the week.
Seriously? The point of this event was precisely that it was a huge source for obtaining resources, especially soulstones. raindespair

After removing all awards except those listed above, there is no more meaning to play this event. For a long time, players have had many sources to obtain a wide variety of resources, but now all these sources have been limited.

The main problem is the removal of all resources except for a small number of VIP tickets, DMP points and food, which are given out at the end of the week for completing tasks.
Desired solution is to return the set of resources that was before.

**4) Breeding and Breeding den **
It's great that you, devs, have finally added 10 new dragons to the breeding. But why there was a pop-up window with a suggestion to use the double egg relic is unclear. When breeding a dupe dragon, the player already presses an additional button confirming that he wants to breed a dupe dragon. And now there's this interfering pop-up, which can only be closed with a small cross, and many players inadvertently activate this DER relic due to inertia! Not only did we already have a separate button for using the DER relic, but now it's enlarged and it says how many DER the player has (which is great). And this innovation would be enough.

  • The second problem is the breeding and hatching time of the Sunfeather dragon. The fact is that when combining dragons with the elements of fire + wind + earth (dragons are Fire + Elephant and alternatives) were previously considered combinations, as a result of breeding, which resulted in dragons with a short breeding and hatching time. With this combination, it was possible to breed Harpy and Elephant dragons, and get pass points, as well as just quickly breed dupe dragons. But now this CANNOT be done due to the fact that the Sunfeather dragon has a __breeding time of more than 8 hours and a hatching time of more than 14 hours, and may interfere with the breeding dupe dragons. Previously, it was an event-only dragon, so it had a long breeding & hatching time. But now it's a normal breeding dragon, bred by a simple combination of the elements. And such dragons should have a much shorter breeding and hatching time (in the range of 20 minutes to 1 hour).

The main problem is a pop-up window with an offer to take a DER relic and a lot of breeding & hatching time from a Sunfeather dragon.
Desired solution is to remove the pop-up window and reduce the breeding & hatching time of the Sunfeather Dragon in the range from 20 minutes to 1 hour.

And I haven't mentioned the huge number of bugs that players have personally, as well as uncorrected personal bugs from the last update. Although, dear devs, you wrote in your update report that many bugs have been fixed omgicantevencrying

For a game to achieve genuine longevity and success, it must either be enjoyable, addictive, or ideally strike a balanced combination of both. Unfortunately, GL has chosen to focus almost exclusively on the second option.

For years, players have been requesting meaningful ways to recover the resources invested in outdated, underperforming dragons so they can transition to newer options. GL’s response? Simply increasing level and enchantment caps, effectively restricting players to few viable dragons.

The situation with sigils is equally unacceptable. They are so excessively difficult to maximize that most players do not even consider using anything other than W, A, or WC. GL is fully aware of this, which is precisely why these specific sigils are conveniently sold in the in-game shop.

Exclusive habitats and the mega habitat are priced so absurdly high that only cheaters or whales can realistically access them. If these items were even remotely affordable, far more players would engage with them.

Moreover, the game has become increasingly demanding and punishing. Every event requires unreasonable dungeon grinding, coupled with unfriendly and restrictive reset mechanics. It is evident that the game is distancing itself from its original identity. GL advertises it as a strategic experience where players can choose their own approach, yet success now requires everyone to follow the exact same formula.

It is disheartening to witness the direction this game has taken and the consistent disregard for community feedback. We, the players who support and sustain this game, are the very reason it still exists. So why does GL insist on making the experience progressively less enjoyable?

Just wanted to add, about the "we fixed a bunch of bugs!"
...which ones you're talking about Gameloft?
I can assure you, I'm still not able to continue playing my baby game on my Fire tablet like before, since the game will crash just after moving over my islands for a few seconds - and inbetween we already had several updates, that didn't fix anything at all.
So I'm asking again - I can't see what you mean you fixed, could you be more specific about that part and explain me, why I won't be able to use my two years old device anymore out of a sudden, but my more than ten years old desktop PC is perfectly fine?

I absolutely support this. You have great points and they must listen.

Also every time I open the star fall events in the island it takes me to Celestial Whisper. Should this also be addressed?

At first, I wanted to believe that the weekly expedition rewards are bugged. I mean we were already getting worthless rewards compared to the tasks we did. 5x random decorations for doing a Supreme tier task? Are you serious? And on top of that, we can pick just 1 reward! Well, we still don't know if the current rewards shown are correct one, will find out once the expedition ends. I will have a separate feedback open dedicated to starfall events later, so won't talk about it here. As for the 10 new breedable dragons and the % of getting the outcoms being shown, both are nice addition. But I also agree with what being said about Sunfeather. Lately, the team is promoting the new events like they have some divine impact on game, but trust me, each one have their own trashy feature! Only a few are actually resourceful.

As for the ruins revamp, it's the feature I disliked the most. I can no longer explore one single ruin. Daily task, clan quest, weekly expedition, cake craze task about the ruins- how am I supposed to do these now? Was there even a solid planning for this? Like, anyone thought about what will be it's impact on average number of players?
Also, the tapjoy task icon that pops up above the portal, I don't think it's actually necessary. Hardly any players do those. So it was fine on it's own place.

This is a tricky one. We were encouraged to do many, almost constant ruin searches for the season rewards that were unknowingly added to our total XP. That's backfired on those of us who did.

Had I known, I would have only searched the ruins conservatively so that I could later participate in the other events. Some of the essential ones include the Daily tasks and Clan quests, especially for highly competitive clans to complete recipes for races and yes Cake Craze and the newer Weekly Expedition.

We've found ourselves in a predicament that has come unexpectedly. I'm not sure what, if anything, the developers will do now to remedy the issue.

On the other side of the coin for those who did fully level their dragons, with L sigils cannot play the dungeon at all, and let's just say the arena difficulty has risen dramatically in the higher tiers (and maybe other's too).

I agree with all of the above, especially the double egg relic pop up, it is driving me batty having activated it by accident twice now.

The update to the ruins exploration is simply offensive. I have no better word for this. It took so long for me to get my last team of dragons leveled so that I could run all the ruins since the requirements got jacked up so ridiculously high during the last update. But after this update? I had ~one~ ruin that was available to me to use. I had to burn all the stocks of food that I was parceling out for collection goals to just get a couple more ruins access on the lowest setting. It will likely still be months before I have all six available again, let alone on anything above the lowest difficulty.

Would you like to know what we would like to see updated in ruins exploration? The "Coming Soon!" text in the lower right hand corner that was there since the last time they updated the interface. If this isn't going to become available by the next update, remove it. It is clearly not coming soon!

Money and time is tight for most people, and annoyances like this make us more likely to invest our time and cash elsewhere. Though despite these annoyances, I do appreciated the updated time frame for the latest ancient event. Changing the event reset to 8 hour blocks is much easier for us to hit all the mark, and it is much appreciated. Just, please, lay off the above.

One topic = one problem, would seem less chaotic to me, especially when it has serious consequences with an impact on the whole game for the entire DML community, it would give more examples of the different problems encountered.

#

Yes, this update is quite disappointing in several ways.

#

1/ Changes to the ruins, which now only allow one active out of six, impact the entire game and the events that follow. This needs to be reviewed!

2/ Requiring a certain number of apples to equalize dragon levels based on rarity is outrageous! Removing the apples is absolutely necessary, or finding a way to obtain them more easily!

3/ A pop-up window for double eggs appears as soon as breeding begins, which has already caused many players to lose eggs. This needs to be removed quickly.

#

4/ Some events are completely useless because they're either unfinished or have unfixed bugs, and having to search through a list in a tab that's neither alphabetically nor chronologically makes me want to avoid them, so I'm doing them less and less.

5/ The meteor shower has been a joke since it first appeared, with only about a hundred left after opening the ultimate chest, but even more so now with the changes. And no ad bugs have been fixed since September 11th for all Android and iOS users!

#

.
6/ Writing in ever-smaller fonts seems to be the new motto lately, and for those on phones, too bad if there's no visibility or if it's impossible to click because it's not designed for a finger!

#

.
I'm not going to go into all the problems, but players today are far from the pleasure and escapism that the game used to provide them. Developers and Gameloft, please take into consideration the reasonable demands of the entire community, and quickly.

9 years of playing, 3 accounts, 2 clans, French Facebook groups: I help, I advise, allow me/us to continue doing so.

What she said 💯
Especially the “close this dialogue with X to start breeding” is SO BAD user interface design, it hurts every time I have to do it.

The introduction of the second breeding den dialogue on the other hand is one of the few things that I like about this update

There were unpleasant things for us in this update, we also had already made two other feedbacks before (to the ruins and to the DER pop-up)
In a feedback we should also include the positive things, not only the negative ones.
Michael has mentioned the easy to be activated second breeding den. There’s another great thing to mention: Before we breed, now we can see the breeding chances for each dragon. We can vary with it, verify on our own how those number changes when we pick higher levelled dragons instead of smaller ones. I really like this feature yaay
