Windows 10, right? If your game is connected to a social account (Microsoft, Facebook, Gameloft) you can try a couple of things

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Dragon Mania Legends, select Advance Options, the scroll down a little to Reset. The app remains but it will delete the data which downloads again when you open the game (and it should open now)
  • If Reset didn't work, then uninstall/reinstall is your next option. I recommend restarting the PC after uninstall and before reinstall to make sure everything that should be is released from memory

If the suggestions above didn't work, please open a ticket with Customer Care (see #customer-care message for link to web support page). If this has only been happening since the most recent update was installed (the one that came out this past Monday), please mention that in your ticket

Yes, format PC and install windows 11. On windows 10 This happens sometimes.

Nuclear option and not necessary. Also, it can happen on Windows 11, too

@delicate zinc , it is necessary, and I’ll explain why. Last year, I formatted my PC about 15 times, as I work with development and needed to test some things with a fresh Windows installation. Every time, I followed the same process: I installed the App Store and then DML. And in about 8 out of those 15 times, the crash issue occurred.

Whenever the issue occurred, I would check the application error log. The problem is that the error thrown in the stack was generic, so it wasn't possible to clearly identify where the issue was coming from. However, based on my tests, it seems to be closely related to the order in which Windows Update updates the DLLs during the Windows installation process. This might be causing conflicts with internal DLLs, and it's very difficult to identify since the error is generic.

That's why I said the easiest path was to reformat—believe me.

It’s possible that it could also happen on Windows 11 (just like you mentioned), but so far it hasn’t happened (I’ve already formatted 4 times this year on Windows 11).

It has happened on Windows 11 - it's something that has happened on all platforms and is totally random. Reformatting, though, is still a nuclear option.
A simpler recommendation would be to turn off any third-party anti-virus/malware programs, uninstall DML, install CCleaner and run a few of its options (clear cache after checking every box including prefetch, registry cleanup, startup to remove all but necessities), restart the device, check for new updates, then install DML.

#

(while what I said above isn't truly "simple", it clears up quite a few issues on a PC, especially one under normal usage - which usually leaves a PC cluttered with enough garbage and stray files to slow a PC down to a crawl)

#

However, neither your option nor mine is something that an average user would be comfortable with and there's no guarantee that the PC being reformatted can even install Windows 11 as the majority of PC's currently in use can't run it, only Windows 10

I‘v tried in 2 different PC‘s and the same error ocurred, I think it‘s something related to my account

If it's doing that on different devices, then definitely open a ticket and be sure to mention that in the explanation box 🙂

If you'd rather I just ghost this server, be more direct. I'm not asking for any kind of support.
