After starting Clan Siege 9hrs ago our Clan is still waiting for an opponent. We can still siege, but have never seen this before

Hi there! So I'm afraid there's not much that the game team can do here unfortunately, at best your clan should have been matched with Erik's Avengers which is a fail safe in case a clan doesn't find an opponent. :/ Real sorry that this is not the answer you were looking for.

That's ok, I was posting in case anyone else had same issue and it was a bug, if it's a one-off glitch then nothing to worry about - we are still taking part and presumably will get an easy win.
