You can, but it isn't a simple process anymore and that's Google's fault. (btw, this only occurs when Google Play Games is installed).

If you just want to disconnect from Google Play Games, you can stop after completing step 2.

white1 Open Google Play Store, tap your avatar, then tap the V next to your name. If the account you want to use is already signed in, go to step 2; if it's not, tap Add another account and sign in to the second account but don't switch to it. Add additional accounts as needed.
white2 Make sure DML is closed, then unlink the current Google account by opening Google Play Games, go to Settings, scroll down to Your data and select Change account for games. Tap Change next to DML and select Sign out. Close GPG.
white3 Open DML, go to Options > Connect to Social Network and you should now see a live button for Google. Tap and and select the account you want to link to. Close DML.
white4 Back to GPG and go to Settings. This should show your main account as usual. Now tap the V next the email address to make sure the second account is also listed but do not select it, then tap anywhere outside the little window to close it. Scroll down to Your data and select Change account for games. Tap Change next to DML - you should see 2 options for accounts and a 3rd to ask each time (this is for multiple games on the same device). Select the account you want DML to use for a single change, select ask each time for 2+ accounts. Close GPG.
white5 Open DML: for a single account change, go to Options > Connect to Social Network and verify that you're connected to the correct account. For multiple accounts, you will be asked which account you want to link to as the game is opening; you will need to close/reopen the game to switch to another account.

If you don't see the option under "Your data" to "Change account for games", your version may not be able to switch accounts.

Is your game connected to both Google and Facebook or just Facebook?

Okay. Disconnecting won't lose data - the save progress it currently has will remain. What it will do is roll back your progress if you play for awhile, then reconnect to that Google account.

You can
(1) totally sign out so that your game is no longer connected to a Google account
(2) change the account used to another Google account that has never been connected to the game before (read all the steps above for that) or
(3) make the game ask you each time you open it which account you want to use.

Changing to a different account does not reset anything.

Now, close Play Games and go open DML. Go to Options > Connect to Social Network and connect to the account you want to use.

Open the Play Store, tap the avatar to enter Settings, then tap the arrow next to the first account listed - does the new account show up? If it doesn't, you need to sign in and try DML again.

You might try changing the Play Games setting to "Ask each time" which should force the game to request a login as it opens. I don't know what more to suggest other than bringing it up with Customer Care.

Can I change my account in DML even if I already set up one without running the progress

I hab an account which I won't use ever again so I need to change it to my new account so I can play with my current progress and don't hab to use the old account

If you want to connect to new Facebook/Google accounts, open the game, go to Settings > Connect to Social Network and disconnect from the current Facebook account, then connect to the new FB account.

For the Google connection, read the initial post in this thread (#1025632383325712436 message), login or create & login to the new Google account, then follow the instructions to disconnect the old Google account and force it use the new Google account

Dude, I did this but when I try connect to Google play (default noob acc rn) it just connects saying that that is my account, instead of giving me two options, being the noob account and the pro account which is the one I'm tryna access

If you read the post, then you know you have to disconnect Google Play first, or change which account is being used, within Google Play. You can't disconnect or change Google Play accounts from within the game. If the game was connected the Google Play on the original device, then it's a matter of connecting to that exact same account in Google Play on the new device first, then opening the game.

@nova thorn entered dml on both devices, one shows this profile (icon is the same as the Google Play Account) and the other's name is DragonMaster with only dragons as profile icons, could this mean anything? Both still showed the name of the Google Play Account when entering the game (they have different id's)
