Well it's relatively easy to get 😂

so xiangling will never vap

and most of the damage comes from ganyu herself

that makes the catch better by default because it has ER, and xiangling just wants very high er (200+) for burst uptime

if youre in a team where xiangling wants to do damage, its possible that wavebreaker is better depending on your artifacts and refine level

for me, r3 wavebreaker ~= r5 catch

National is one of the best teams, and raiden national is the easiest comp for it

not to mention, farming for national is easy.
Once you are AR45, you just spend all your resin and fragile resin in the domain for Emblem of Severed Fate.
Xiangling, Xingqiu, Raiden all use ESF. and the subpar pieces you can strongbox into Noblesse Oblige pieces for Bennett

so it's just very efficient to farm that team

Could even run freeze with Chongyun, Rosa (or Kaeya), Xingqiu and VV user

Finally kinda grasped my rotation with double swirling with Sucrose, but I have to practice more. Plus I think I'll do E Q E on Xingqiu or something, as I somehow manage to make it so that his burst runs out before Hu Tao's E lmaoo. I know 61k on charged attacks isn't like super good but honestly considering her build can still improve and all I think it's decent? Though tbh, with my tests, 57k was more consistent, maybe missing the timing with Instructor's or something sometimes lmao.

and one at a time is probably better unless its a really wide unit in terms of talents, like itto or hutao

but dont be fooled by people hyping up talent levels
for example, one that people shill all the time is bennett burst, and right now i have my bennett's burst at talent level 7
if i spent the the resin to increase that up to the next level, that would increase the atk from the buff by a whopping

41 attack

that is like, almost nothing

and that is a constant
the talent levels get more and more expensive, but each talent level only increases the buff by ~40 attack

so eventually youre spending days worth of resin on mora, talent books, weekly boss materials, and a crown

to gain 40 attack

and this is an example of a skill that is considered one of the best to get to high levels

imagine how it is for other skills which arent as overpowered

its so tiny

yeah, talent levels over 6 are really only useful after you've maximized just about everything else and just want to eke out the last little smidgen from a character.

that and for horn blowing purposes. 'I crowned X' etc... it's an achievement of a sort. Just expensive.

Yeah, up to a point. There'll be a time where it will be extremely difficult to get an upgrade to the artefacts you've got, so you're better off levelling talents if you really want a damage increase, even if small.

But yeah, before AR 45, farming artefacts is mostly a waste so it's generally not recommended.

I love levelling talents myself xD but it's not really worth it most of the times past 7 unless you have a great set already

Technically Artifacts are better until such a time as you have reasonably complete sets for every character. Even when farming artifacts for one specific character, the artifacts you don't use can either benefit another character, or be used as fodder. The only point at which this becomes as impractical as talents is when you can no longer significantly improve the set for any character you use without obscene amounts of effort. Granted the RNG system does tend to set that bar pretty low, but it's still generally much harder to reach that plateau. Even some artifacts which may currently be useless may find themselves valuable in a later build. (whether you hang onto them or not is up to you)

Yeah (do make sure to have her on 4p VV), but it's not ideal tbh. EM share is wasted in a freeze comp, and her burst isn't the greatest for CC (it's not like the CC is bad, but it throws mobs into the air) and it can be tricky to make sure to infuse it with the correct element.

Also, in the ideal Xiao comp(jean, zhongli, albedo) is the purpose to dish out "raw" damage that doesn't do reactions?

Currently Xiangling has R4 Catch, but I'm wondering if it would be better on Raiden. Or, should I have Raiden use Jade?

its a bit of a dissynergy to use em, so unless youre in dire need of crit rate, jade isnt the move

backloaded: back of your rotation

say, your rotation is 20s
if all your damage is frontloaded, say first 5s, you get most of your damage done in 20x + 5 seconds
if all your damage is backloaded, so last second-ish, you get most of your damage done in 20x + 20 seconds

frontloaded vs backloaded is a difference in potential cleartimes

but also changes how you need to apply buffs sometimes

e.g. Raiden can't snapshot, but since most of her damage is the initial slash, most buffs are "long enough" for her to deal the damage
you couldn't use sara to buff Eula Q because it's backloaded, and the duration is longer than sara's buff. but you can buff raiden with sara

you could use jade on raiden if youre in dire need of crit rate, but generally, the catch or skyward spine will be better
as for xiangling, she has a ton of great options to use, the catch being the most notable, but dragon's bane or skyward spine would also work great

1st is the initial slash that deals TONNES of damage
second is the damage you do by attacking- these are rather normal in numerical values

1. Since her buff only lasts for 6 seconds, who should she be teamed with?
2. Could her burst be described as a worse version of Raiden's?

She's the best support for Raiden (but kinda requires C6), but could work for other non meta teams as well. Keqing could be fine, Beidou too as her burst snapshots. Even Fischl as Oz snapshots. Could be also in an overload or electro-charged (Beidou and Fischl are usually in an electro-charged team for instance) team I guess but she's best supporting electro carries/characters in general.

I don't think so, no. Her bust is leaning in a quickswap style afaik, you need Raiden on the field for like 7 seconds iirc.

I just tested Bennet, Sara and Raiden and was surprised when my crit dmg doubled compared to just Bennet and Raiden! That was my first time seeing a 6 digit crit on my team! Now I can just imagine Raiden's full potential when I finally get her 2 more decent artifacts and with Sucrose added to the team.
