You didn't ask me, but you'd be better off with the full 4p CW, EM (apparently you have no EM at all, which is not good for her, unless you're running her on mono pyro ig) and more CR as Falthis said would be good. Don't get rid of the ER though, as her burst is more valuable on 4p CW (or anything that isn't 4p SR).

Xiangling is literally just her burst though, she shouldn't stay on the field. She's one of the strongest chars in the game.

Again, if you intend to play super casually, you can play whatever, because overworld is super easy

Nobody is forcing you to, while XL is one of the strongest units, you don't have to play her unless you want to. You should be able to do synergistic teams with the units you are willing to play, but if you don't, you'll probably struggle until you reach a point of enough investment (though if you refuse to play synergistic teams, it's unlikely you'll be able to tackle stuff like abyss in a rather long, long time)

xingqiu isnt bad i guess, and ayaka does slap a bit with normals and charged with the infusion

this is all true, but i never understand peoples issue with her dps function, i find it very easy to get her cryo infusion up as often as is possible. i like her playstyle and stuff- so although she isn’t meta, i’ll keep building and playing her as dps. she clears open world and bosses with total ease, and can even get me through abyss, but i have other built characters for that too so it’s fine either way, like i have meta teams i just don’t enjoy them as much. i hate chongyun but you’re right in terms of meta. a chongyun, kaeya melt team would be more meta
