standard banner has a weird mechanic where it flips between 5* weapons and 5* characters (guaranteed one of each in 270 pulls, but MHY doesn't explicitly say so). I did the same thing early on, spending primos on standard, and I got two 5* weapons in consecutive pulls, and then two 5* characters in 11 pulls. Pulling a same-type 5* seems to be somewhat likely, but there's no proof AFAIK

I would say that whales pull more frequently, and thereby have a greater chance of getting low rates, but I imagine the numbers aren't any different for them, they just tend to have a higher sample rate.

i got lost prayers back in 1.2 from standard and became a ningguang main because of it all the way until 2.3, then itto came out as the staple geo dps and kinda took her place
i still use ningguang sometimes but nowhere near as much as i used to. shes still completely built just as she always was, i just hardly ever use her unless i decide to use a different team for daily activities
