I'm afraid the lack of QOL improvements will be an irreversible drain on player goodwill and may significa tly impact the quality of the game going forward. It's not like these types of games are friendly to new players because of all the forever-gone content, so once the player base starts shrinking, it's possibly irreversible at that point.

Abyss is the only end-game combat-focused content we are ever going to get. They said so themselves. They'll add more things like the TCG, but combat isn't the focus at this point. The game just has a lot of problems and I think the devs are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I think the team working on the game genuinely cares about the project, but management is only looking at profits which takes priority over whatever the devs want to do.

meanwhile the rest of the game is focused on casual players so any hardcore player doesnt get to fully enjoy any ammount of difficulty with stuff like exploration

when you get a version of a commission that you dont need you can join someone elses world and do one of their commissions to still get the primogems and daily completion rewards while not completing the commission you need
that way the commission gets added back into your cycle and instead of having to wait 2 months to get it again and hope for a different version you could get it again as soon as the next day
commissions can only occur a certain number of times per "cycle," and once it happens that number of times in the cycle it cannot happen again until you complete every other NPC commission in the region
so for something like Doctor's Orders, which is only once per cycle, say you get it on Day 1. the person in that version is not who you need, but you complete the commission anyway. you have to complete every other NPC commission in Sumeru before you can get Doctors Orders again.

there are some funny things you can do with commission as well to shorten cycles, namely "blocking" a commission from occuring
there are certain quests that involve NPCs from commissions that will cause you to never get certain commissions until you progress the quest
for example, if you begin the Faruzan hangout event and progress it to a certain stage it involves the NPC for Akademiya Q&A and you cannot get that commission until you move Faruzan, effectively shortening your cycle
Yoimiya's second story quest was a godsend for people who knew about it because it blocks 5 different commissions which is a pretty big chunk of Sumeru
i, however, did not know about it until it was too late, and i like to accept quests as soon as theyre available and was forced to progress the Yoimiya quest to do an event and could not take advantage of it 😦

my suggestion. because you ideally want a hydro trigger. the reason for this is because when you do hydro then dendro on the enemy, it only makes 1 bloom then the enemy has nothing on it.
if you do dendro then hydro, there is one bloom and the enemy still has some dendro left on them, so u can do another bloom
hence hydro is more efficient at blooms
it's the same mechanic as seen in melt and vape
