Kazuha makes it harder to double swirl. Not impossible, but I like double swirling. Plus the easiest rotation (which is still not easy and at least I can't do it consistently) involves bursting (or bursting then E) on Kazuha, so I can't use his C1. xD And I run him on the other team anyways.

Actually I'm not sure if you can even trigger Instructor's on Thoma on a rotation with no double swirl (aka start with XQ instead of doing XQ right before Tao). In that vid, there was no shred (outside of pyro at the beginning which would run out early on a full, regular rotation) and no opportunity to procc Instructor's on Thoma either (though I assume they're not even running it to begin with).

The whole point of Thoma being on the team is to be able to swirl pyro with kazuha, but if you proc a reaction with him you're literally wasting all the buffs a kazuha swirl gives for 120EM that will expire after like 1 or 2 charge attacks

XQ QEE (or EQE if I'm worried about his Q running out early, but I usually don't care/depends more on how many Sucrose Es I do) -> Thoma EQ (enemy either is neutral or on pyro aura) -> Sucrose NA (swirl pyro) E (can be zero, so a couple more NAs no swirl hydro, or up to 3, but you risk running out of buffs early on Tao) -> Tao E

You do have to be careful to not reapply hydro before swirling pyro, which is why it's a harder rotation. You need to get away from the enemy a bit to avoid orbitals applying E, and making sure you're facing the enemy for Thoma's Q to apply pyro. Sounds like too much but once you get used to it it's fairly easy.

You can do the same on Kazuha, but it's harder as you have to time his E pretty fast, as he doesn't swirl on NA. So you can either do XQ QEE -> Kazuha Q (you stay close to the enemy so orbitals apply hydro and you infuse Q with hydro) NA E (very tight timing) or NA E (tight timing still, but less that starting with Q) Q (you still infuse Q with hydro). Ig you could do another E after Q but you're risking running out of Instructor's buff and XQ Q early.

I've thought so, but on one hand I wouldn't go for C2 Yelan to guarantee she won't be stealing vapes and on the other idk if the timing between a NA and her burst hitting the enemy is the same as XQ (I have the impression it's faster which could ruin the rotation, but I have no idea tbf). But if her burst has the exact timing between NA and the barbs hitting the enemy, it should be easier. Only potential problem would be her occasionally stealing vapes before C2.

She could also put the rotation with Kazuha starting with his Q out of the table ig, since she doesn't have orbitals. Not too important as the other rotation (NA E Q) would still be possible. xD

for general purpose I would level up Sucrose and Xingqiu, for a team I would probably build a Ayato, Kaeya, D-traveler, Bennet, with Yoimiya, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Sayu. You could switch in Mona for several of these options, and Barbara for heals in a pinch, just remember she gonna get you frozen if the enemy has cryo. I would definitely recommend getting Xiangling at your first opportunity and leveling her up. You can obtain her simply by performing the first few levels of Abyss.

Sure, there are plenty of HP and Def sands that show up, but what happens if you get a good on-set goblet and your on-set sands is garbage? Would you rather use the on-set sands that sucks or the 36 CV one you have laying around.
