hes good enough, thats p much all i can say about him from a purely meta perspective

but he has one of the most flexible playstyles and rotations in the game, as well as suffering basically no caveats

and being a pyro claymore suits him to practically all content except for pyro immune enemies

shields, elements, none of it is bad for him
