If you do have a 4star team however, zhongli definitely one of the best 5*s out there
This is all from a meta standpoint. If you want zhongli, go for zhongli, the game can be cleared with 4 star teams

If you have 2 teams go for zhongli, if you have 1 team go for ganyu

imo supports are less likely to get power crept in the near-future, while ganyu is still regarded as the best dps, there are a ton of other contenders that can relatively keep up with her, zhongli is the best shield, has good scaling and can also lower resistance

supports are just harder to power creep and esp one like zhongli

hes essentially a power sub-dps and shielder in one unit
