That statement hasn't been true since at least 3.0 if you wanna clear spiral abyss Floor 12 full stars you are kinda forced to play meta to a degree, sure you can carry anyone's ass through floor 12 with national or hyperbloom teams, but I wouldn't call that being viable, especially the 4 stars since sumeru that aren't supports have been very lackluster, like Kaveh and Freminet
