the materials needed will always be the base materials needed
If you started with only lvl 1 talents, got the constellations and are now at level 4 to start instead, you still only need to use the brown books instead of the silver books that you would usually use for lvl 4 to 5
if you were at talent level 6, and then got C3/C5, you would be at level 9, but you would still only need the one boss drop that is normal from level 6 to 7, not the two boss drops and crown needed from 9 to 10
