it's not version dependent like that - it's broken, there's work underway to fix it, but there's no easy fix so far

i.e.: there is a fix for technical people who can use the android IDE to tether their device, but it's too technical and requires separate hardware

so it may wind up like the PS4 import, just dead until mihoyo decides to accidentally fix it by some future change, or it may wind up depending on whatever VPN/packet sniffing android app making an improvement that has nothing to do with their core functionality

unlike the PC change in 3.0 where the tools baruna uses to solve the problem are the same that he uses to publish a fix, here the tools he uses solve the problem by the nature of being dev tools. so progress isn't easy.

also he hasn't been around much, which might be life shit, might be the complexity of the problem, might be a ton of things

If anybody really actually wants this solved more desperately than just buying a computer that can run genshin, like... go start a crowd funded bug bounty or something (a bug bounty is where there's a cash prize for solving a bug, it's a common way of sponsoring hacker development)
