Sigh this new generation of gamers, always trying to cheat the system. I'll humour you and dissect this thing for you since my mora run is done.

===

1) It is illegal to transfer ownership of accounts.

This includes selling / giving your account to someone else. The main reason is because accounts are tied to the Terms of Service. Remember that super long essay that you just click “I’ve read” and “I agree” without reading? That's the ToS. When you use / create an account, it also requires you to agree to whatever conditions are stated in that ToS. If they allowed you to transfer ownership, it is essentially giving someone access to the services (the game) without them agreeing to the ToS (since you did so on their behalf), and this clause (to not allow transfer of accounts) is intended to prevent that.

2) Don’t play around with semantics (when it comes to the law).

Your logic is flawed in itself. Because if you claim that you can “lend permanently”, then why not claim that someone can “rob you” but they are essentially “borrowing for a long term”. If you do realise that it is BS, then well, pretty much everyone else can also tell that it is utterly BS.

More importantly, the law doesn’t care what yours or my definition is. They have already written (in another really long book of law called statutes) how to define different stuff. So you can claim whatever meaning that you want, it is irrelevant because what matters is what the law defines it to be.

3) Just because it is free, doesn’t mean it is legal.

What you claim “it is free so it is legal” is generally right… assuming if that is the only criteria that we have. In the case of GI, when you play the game, you also agree to abide by their ToS (remember point #1?). This also means that you agree that whatever you do with the account (even if you put money into IAPs) will fall within the boundaries that they put into place. And you also accept whatever consequences should you breach the ToS.

Everything you do with your account is a subset of the overarching rule - you cannot sell / transfer ownership of your account. This also means that spending money for IAPs is irrelevant since it falls within the boundaries. Hence, the ToS will make sure that you agree to some sort of forfeiture of the $ that you have spent (which I will cover later).

4) They know when something about the account has changed.

If you have no know-how of technical matters (or legal matters), I wouldn’t be so keen on holding this “upright” attitude of “I know better” and actually do your homework or ask around for advice.

When you connect to a server (or a webpage for that matter), a lot of info is logged. The server will know:

• What model of device you are using?
• What OS version you are on?
• What is your IP address? What is your device UID?
• What browser and version you are using (if applicable)?
• When you connect? How long did you connect for?
• What kind of info did you send to or request from the server?
• What key strokes you input into the game?

With such info, it is very easy to do reverse social engineering. Remember when Pokemon GO players got banned for trying to spoof their location to catch pokemons? The server is easily programmed to spot someone whose location (IP address) jump great distances which are physically impossible. The same can be said for bots whose key stroke inputs differ from that of a regular human being (or a different player); or even why the credit card details for the initial purchase is different from the newer purchases.

5) You can get banned.

I am not here to tell you to agree with me, and neither do I really care if you don’t. Just know that you run the risk of a ban if you break ToS (they probably won’t take legal action since you don’t even have the $ to make it worth suing). What they can do, on the other hand is:

• Ban your account (this means you lose all your $ and time investment)
• Ban your device UID (this means reinstalling won’t fix it, you need to buy a new device; this happened with Fortnite)
• Ban your IP address (this means you can never access the game using your IP address anymore, e.g. a particular WiFi network)

And you will have no legal recourse (even if you have invested $1000s into the game), because you agreed to the ToS and the party who breached this contract first was you. They have probably included the consequences of what they will do to your account in the ToS, which you have "unknowingly" agreed to.

6) The fact that you are asking means you know something is off.

If you even need to be telling such scenarios or attempting to justify your case to us implies that deep down inside, you know that your story is not fool proof. If even someone like you doubt your own case, what makes you think that the company won’t?

Know that people are paid (full time jobs) to think of such instances and factor them into contractual clauses. They are called lawyers. You can be sure that most ToS are able to cover the most common scenarios and more (and whatever you think of will likely already be in it).

Remember, you don’t need to justify this to us, you need to clear MHY’s check. If they find the account having suspicious activities, what is common would be a lockdown on the account until they can verify. And from what I heard, verifying can take anywhere from a few days up to a few months. So that’s a few months without access to your account (which you have paid money for). Make sure you are comfortable with it.

7) Lastly, just don’t complain after.

This is something that irritates me the most. You tell people about the risks, they go ahead and do it, then complain about the risks. This is no different from those people who roll before they have 180 wishes, then complain in every discord channel that they didn’t get the featured 5 star. You know the consequences of gambling, but then you are unhappy about it? It is the same as someone telling you that if you keep playing with fire, you may get burnt. You ignore the warnings and still do that, only to get burnt one day. But then you go around complaining about the fire?

You should be old enough to either accept consequences of your choices or at least start learning about it. Do whatever you are comfortable with, after researching and understanding the risks. But just don’t come back to make noise over it.

Yes. In fact, a lot of times many things are spotted. The only 2 things that need to be considered are:

1. Is it flagged up?

Notifications are set based on specific parameters. So MHY can set it such that if the IP distance is more than 100km + if the device ID is different, they will be notified for e.g. It all comes down to how many parameters are set. The more they set, the more precise they can justify sharing of accounts. However, more parameters also mean that it is much harder to get flagged up since you need to hit all criteria in order to be noticed.

Remember how Google or some websites send you an email notification that "someone logged into your account from an unknown device"? This is a good example of the kind of parameters that they set to send out notifications to who they want.

2. Do they want to take action?

It comes down to how "troublesome" it is to investigate and take action. If it is a small incident, most companies will look the other way. So take for e.g., you often see streamers logging on to follower accounts to gift / help pull. It is obviously a breach in ToS considering accounts aren't supposed to be shared (plus there is actual evidence on stream). However, MHY probably looks the other way cause it doesn't create trouble (nobody is complaining about it). Or that MHY may feel that it is not worth having someone hired just to look into this matter.

This part is grey since only MHY can decide where they want to draw the line. Perhaps after someone complained that their account has been hacked, they then implement more parameters to monitor the account. It is difficult to determine since it is set by MHY. Though a general rule of thumb is that if you are making purchases from different countries then it will likely be flagged (for fear of fraud); or if you keep "jumping" between long distances in a short period of time. As to how many parameters that MHY has set, is is unknown and dependent on how strict they want to be.

Guys I want to export my genshin-wishes data to paimon moe but I have problems. When I put the exported "id_wishes.csv" file into the paimon importer I get "invalid excel file" error

I'm not too familiar since I don't use manual input, just take note that it is extremely sensitive to 2 things.

1. Input must be precise. This means even a spacing or capitalization issue might result in an error.

2. Excel + Windows is a brutal cocktail of problems. So one thing I've come to learn is that windows converts the date format into what you set for your computer. This means if the excel file is dd/mm/yyyy, but your computer shows yyyy/mm/dd, it is going to show up as the 2nd one for excel even though the underlying data input is the 1st.

I didn't touch the file. The exact way its generated from genshin wishes is used on the paimon. I didn't even open it i don't even have excel anyway since I use sheets

I hope this is the right place.
Tried to import wish history via script method, which worked perfect so far. Settings are set for my main acc, so is my open wish history in game; when pasting the link from the powershell the site gives the "This wish history is for another account, please separate your account first on Settings menu!" feedback.
Gonna retry again, if it continues I'll go restarting everything and checking other ways to update this post with results to give some more info on the issue.
EDIT_1: Retrying the script a few times didn't help, gonna go with the restarting.

If you have two accounts and logged into the other one before the one you're trying to import, you need to close the game.

I edited excel manually, but then deleted the edits.

then I did the new way of import to merge new info

it works fine on browser, but when trying to export to excel, character event is empty

I got a little idea for the todo list:

I'm currently farming for Shenhe but her character calculation for material is still not on the site, I can understand as she's not officially yet in the game.

Though would it be possible to add manually material and create categories in the todo list so we can still use this feature before character release? It would be amazing

Atm I'm using Xiao calculation to do it as he's the closes in terms of material wanted but having personalized todo things would be nice.

This reminds me, this is minor, but it'd be nice if we could have other sorting orders on the total to-do list (currently shows everything you have listed to farm for, in order of appearance in the character boxes). Like, by rarity, by type (like in alphabetical order but grouped by "family", all resistance mats together for example), by stuff you need the most, etc.

It'd also be nice to be able to subtract (and also add) materials directly on each character box.

Deathmatch: In teams with a reliable source of Geo energy, Deathmatch will outperform The Catch.

Regarding Main Stats:
Ideally, you'll want ATK%/Geo/Crit Rate-DMG for maximum Elemental Burst damage, as his Ascension 4 Talent scaling would be best benefitted using only one HP main stat, any additional HP stat is desirable as it goes to his shield durability/burst damage.

whenever i try to export my wishes, all besides the character banner wishes get exported. this is due to an issue where when i added characters using manual input, for some reason, they saved like this despite putting the four stars in their proper order. the character banner wishes when exported to an excel sheet does not save. is there any way to hard code or fix this so that it would still export, even with this inaccurate amount of unknowns being sorted here? i don't know why it's not reformatting by date with my charcater banner but does for all other banners/ignores the time mismatch on my other banners

oh I think the global tally was broken due to dual banner, not sure about home page, maybe haven't gotten to updating it yet. For your google sync issue, try disabling your extensions to see if something else is blocking it. Antivirus also sometimes come with adblockers

Hi, seems there is a bug in detailed history of wishes. Maybe it's about timezones. When i open https://paimon.moe/wish/character-event/ directly (not from Wish Counter page), it's been told that i got Raiden from Yomiya banner. The wishes was made at first 1-2 hours after server was up at 2.1 patch.

There's the option to add/change accounts. You can't add wishes of another account if you only have one on Paimon.moe. And remember to close and open Genshin if you're gonna import from another account (and yeah, same account but another server counts as a different account).

For future reference, google sheets works fine, i was having some formatting issues with freeoffice so i did:

• edited everything in google sheets
• downloaded the xlsx file
• open that with freeoffice
• add the missing ' from <Beginners' Wish> tab
• save
• import

Maybe there's a better way to make it not lose the ' on google sheets directly when saving, or just use microsoft excel

1. You skipped steps and didn't read all the instructions.
2. You are not precise when it comes to what you experienced. Theoretically, you didn't install the CA but you assumed that it was properly installed.
