Hamburger Flugzeugbau had a idea that they thought it would sell like hotcakes as a regional airliner for Lufthansa, even though they didnt show much interest for the aircraft as for the time they had just received its first Boeing 737s.
The aircraft was named Vertibus because the plane could pretty much take off vertically without using any runway, as the plane could lift from the ground and 10 kilometers into the air in six minutes using the combined eight gas turbines. And two control fans for manuvering (apperently).
Capacity:90-100 Passangers
Range:900km
Crusing Engines thrust: 19.180lbt
Lift engines thrust:19.475lbt
Crusing Speed: 990km/h
Service Ceiling: 33,500 ft
VTOL Weight:122,900 lb
STOL Weight:134,000 lb
Maximum fuel capacity:28,000 lb
Maximum Landing weight:119,000 lb
Why should it be added?:
To add variety for VTOL Airliners/charter aircraft, can be a somewhat of a german version of the HS.141 for regional use.
Pros:
-More diversity for paper projects planes-airliners for that matter.
-Possible HS.141 "rival"
Cons:
-Lack of proper stats/publicly avaible information.
-For the reasons above, will be harder to implement into the game.

Some very interesting VSTOL projects were designed in Germany.
MBB BO-140
A tiltwing transport, with civil (Z) and military (M) versions.
4 x GE1-S1-1T turboshaft engines each developing 11,400shp and driving 8.24m diameter blades.
BO-140Z could carry 80 passengers at 84cm seat pitch...
oh yeah forgot to add the image description on the third image, it has a mockup of this variant, alongside HS.141
🍔
What the helly
@errant bloom you mentioned “lack of proper stats”
Where did you get the stats you provided then
From secret projects forum
It differs from that
HFB-600 Vertibus was a larger was a high-wing V/STOL transport monoplane project.
Submitted in a proposal to the West German Federal Defence Ministry for an 80-100 passenger V/STOL transport projected for service in late 1970s. Design circa 1970. Developing a Civilian (Z) and a Military (M) version.

With the recent correspondence on BV designs http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,6272.15.html I though I would add my notes on the various types.
Taken from various sources over years, most recently some old Air Enthusiast magazines and Manfred Griehl's Blohm und Voss...
from the emerald PDF thing
Cant trust it, dont know where both people got the source of info
But better than nothing
However
I guess yours is better
VDNE-IRL
Vehicle does not exist irl; too limited on references; mockup isn’t the same as listed blueprints
fair
Lowkey interesting suggestion
Funny plane
I’d like to see it since it’s a second vtol airliner
Model’s there but I kinda forgot if it had to be a wind tunnel model specifically or just a real model of it
The reason why hs 141 was added was because it had a wind tunnel testing
And enclaved had to fight for it
oh
Bae 146 and HS.141 if they had a child
I thought that was suggested already💔
Not that i know 💔
Smol
second image looks like its from Jane's All The World's Aircraft
those books are usually stacked with good info
but gotta find which issue...
-# on second thought maybe its just a coincidence

digging farther into the secret projects thread it appears not just that scale models were created of the aircraft's exterior design but also its cockpit
with blueprints from the promotional brochure being here
unfortunately no images of 1.1 tho
oh i wasnt aware of this
Potentially the 1973 issue
I can’t find it online though

tbh I’m more interested in that 747, do-31, and 727 baby
I love VFW
VFW MENTIONED
VERSUCHSFLAKWAGEN!!!
not really fight, i believe i had big conversation about the Bell projects like CTR or QTR can't rember anymore
but 141 was reasonably easy to add
im deadass sure either u or someone said that
tbh i think it's just as scarce as this
gonna refresh for a bit though
oh yeah just have seen this
