Simply allow us to aim with the guns.

Pros -
Very good mechanic for the owners.
Brings in more realism
Excellent for RP
Feels natural

Cons-
Probably hard to implement?

Tbh even though this is cool, i feel like this falls under the “animated landing gears” allowing front wheels to turn, wheels to spin, gears to tilt and have the tilt function for smooth double bogey landings. Sadly it would be alot of -work- i dont think the devs would deny this as its a good idea, i feel like they would deny it as theyd have to re-do every ship with turrets or every plane with animated gears. Its just alot to do especially when they have lord only knows what they already have planned and in the works.

3 things

  1. Turrets are to be separated from the main body, including the barrels, will give 4+(turret, barrel, x and y servo parts) parts instead of 1

  2. servo parts that lock onto player camera or cursor does not exist in the game files and are yet to be added, adding such would've been added for landing gear's turn

  3. floating point problems (see NWX tank turrets)

  1. Not drastically, only problem rn is that if too much servos serves same keybind it might break but if that was to be implemented I’m sure it’ll be looked into. But yes it still means revision/remodels

  2. Well if it ever gets for gears it could be repurposed for guns with loopholes

  3. not an issue when you have vehicle of a size of Empire State Building, floating point affects any plane much more severe and yet we still doing anims

Main problem is that servos works in only one direction back/front and that’s it

What about just binding them to the cursor? Like how planes have it. Click and hold to point rather than having a keybind.
Especially since there are no mouse controls for boats
