Take this suggestion lightly. Something to think about rolling out in the future. Watch the video at the end

Adding ground vehicles was a monumental step into more realistic and immersive ground operations in-game. Unfortunately, it is difficult to gather people who are dedicated to working a RP turnaround scenario.
To help the players who play alone or in smaller servers due to lag, etc… A feature that brings ground service to the aircraft relative to aircraft itself.
A good example is seen in World Of Airports (linked video), where the ground vehicles spawn in and service the aircraft in a timely manner, simulating a turnaround. They fade into existence and disappear when they are done.
It would take time to curate an animation specialized for each aircraft, but rolling out the update (like advanced liveries or aircraft lighting) would be a valid way of implementing the system.

The devs can figure out a way to get your plane serviced. Maybe a Ui panel or only on certain jobs.

I think it would be cool.

It’s not about AI pathfinding NPC type shit

Problem that comes on hand with this is that, accepting missions are instantaneous as of now

Meaning no cutscenes, no loading, no waiting

#

And there’s no place to add that other than a button to call for ground crew, or implement it with missions

I am fairly confident that the “animation” is as easy to make as the current animation on vehicles

Yea. So like you open a tab, and click a button for each service. The animation is local, the vehicles are mere holographs (non colliding), and the positions are configured to suit the aircraft.

Not every aircraft has to have this. And models can be scripted to move. I’m not sure what you mean by “animated”
The devs still haven’t finished rolling out advanced liveries and it’s been 2 years. Just give it to the planes that have priority (airliners).

No pathfinding. Just a point A to point B script. Super simple and no algorithms. It doesn’t have to be complicated to look good.

Why would it phase through the plane if the positions of the GV are relative to the aircraft? I’ll make a diagram in a sec explaining what I’m talking about.

They will phase through other objects aswell

I made the graph anyways.
This example is an air stair. It would appear at point A. Then move linearly to point B. When it’s “done boarding passengers” it would move back to point A and vanish.

Just a thought. At the end of the day I would like a dev opinion as we aren’t devs.

Again with the problem of manually putting parts at designation spots, as well as the elevation of certain equipments such as staircase, gate, catering truck, etc

Some of which are already joined to the main part, which requires to return back to the model and adding seperate parts just to animate them

Rotation degrees depend on how high or away the GC is from the designated spot (DS)

you could make it so you have like 3 places for gse
i dont know how to phrase this but not custom spots for gse to go (like fuel truck, toilet truck stay in set locations for all narrowbodies for example, and in diffrent locations for widebodies)

issue is stair trucks but i feel like that could be left to the community or something like that to mark doors and the type of stair truck
