The F-22N was a proposed 5th gen fighter sea variant by the U.S Navy of the F-22 Raptor. This was a proposed concept by the U.S Navy that wanted to create a stealthy, supersonic fighter capable of defending carrier battle groups, conducting deep-strike missions, and maintaining air superiority over contested maritime regions. A very notable and different feature between the F-22 and F-22N was the swept wings. This allowed the aircraft to adjust its wing span for landings/slow operations or for it to go supersonic and operate at high speeds while swept.
This concept was canceled and later replaced with the now F-35C as a naval variant of the F-35.
