The Korea Forest Service is also using it as a firefighting helicopter to extinguish forest fires . To be exact, it is the civilian version of the military CH-54, the S-64E. Unlike other firefighting helicopters, this Forest Service specification is equipped with equipment specifically for firefighting, so it not only pours loaded water downwards, but also has a nozzle that blows out water at high pressure like a fire engine, so it is said to be effective in removing residual fire buried under a pile of ash. It is the largest helicopter currently registered in Korea, and has held this title for over 10 years since Samsung Airways' Mi-26 was sold. It can load as much as 8,000 liters of water at a time .
