hello
MV James R. Barker is an American bulk carrier that operates on the upper four North American Great Lakes. Built in 1976 by the American Ship Building Company at Lorain, Ohio, the ship is 1,004 feet (306 m, 9 feet shorter than the Tregurtha) long, 50 feet (15 m) high and 105 feet (32 m) wide. Like the MV Mesabi Miner, a ship of the same design, it is owned and operated by the Interlake Steamship Company and was named for Interlake’s Chairman of the Board, James R. Barker.

The default option would be the Paul R. Tregurtha, with the other option being the James R. Barker, giving 1 less capacity and a different horn.

49 years ago on November 10, 1975 the Edmund Fitzgerald sank taking all 29 crew members with her. The James R. Barker departing Duluth Minnesota pays tribute by blowing a master salute to honor those who lost their life that night 49 years ago.

There’s already a lake freighter in the game?

i feel like this is kinda unnecessary tbh just for a slight capacity change and a different horn sound

#

the horn sound i contributed to be given to the tregurtha class was taken from the james r barker so

#

if it gets any horn sound it will be that one

i think this is pretty cool, they should add this

#

Any significant visual differences compared to the Tregurtha?

#

If not then it's not worth it

At most the horn will just be an advanced customization

#

idk if it warrants an advanced customization just to change the horn though

#

that seems like more effort than it's worth

it could also change the horn model or something
