#Add rulers for the distance between the mirrors on Gen 2 UVs.

Like the ruler that tells you how far to move your tail to align it correctly, a ruler that tells you the distance between the 2 halves of the UV would be really nice to be able to quickly invert a livery and ensure it has the correct alignment.

Im using a detail kit, so the numbers are a bit fudged to the real UV but the principle is the same.

Use markers

#

Put a pixel line on the nose and tail and align it accordingly

Or this.
You can see where the marker starts

Resize the uv using nearest neighbor

Yeah well I didn't make this detail kit and its an issue on the regular UV kits as well

pro tip: when you create a selection with rectangle it tells you the size of the box

#

its a scuffed rule

Issue is that each part of the UV kit is a different scale and the UV kit is stretched/distorted for ease of use

my question is why are you mirroring the tail the same way

#

fuselage i understand

#

Faster than moving the entire thing and aligning the tails one at at time

#

1 horizontal move and a reflection vs A reflection, 2 horizontal moves, and 1 vertical move.

that's because detail kit creators upsize the scale of the image which makes it blurrier

#

there's a neat photoshop setting that lets you double the size of the canvas and i'm pretty sure you can tell it to preserve details which keeps the pixels from getting blurry, but not all of them use photoshop and/or know about that setting

i wish the detail kit creators would stop upsizing the images anyway because that would fix a whole lot of issues to begin with

#

you say that

#

as if half of yall aren't guilty of upsizing the kits if they came in the default sizes
