The Shenyang Anjian (Dark Sword) is a stealth, supersonic UAV being developed for the Chinese for air-superiority. Uniquely, the Dark Sword has been considered for a newly developed technology known as “Loyal Wingman,” Which involves the UCAV being paired with a J-20. Currently it appears that a full-scale model has been created, however any other information about the UCAV hasn’t surfaced.

By supersonic they mean it goes 10 knots over the sound barrier clueless

Once accidentally did in aero when I was descending from a cruise, I took too sharp of a dive, but I recovered before overspeed finished me

it literally is a copy tho

it used to be made from russian kits but at then china just started making their own

Externally Chinese Flankers looks similar to Russian ones

#

Internally? It has wayyyy more Israeli influence than Russian

#

The Harbin is based on the S-70

#

Lavi had nothing to do with J-10, J-10 came from the J-9 program (also J-20)

pseudo basin

#

I wasn't denying that they used the S-70 for the Harbin

All I'm saying is that the Chinese Flankers ain't copy, just different iterations of Flankers made to hit their performance targets

pseudo basin
# twin charm All I'm saying is that the Chinese Flankers ain't copy, just different iteration...

How are they different flanker iterations when they are goddamn different aircraft, the j-15 barely has any tech from the j-11 which IS a license built version of the flanker, the j-15 is a completely different aircraft that did not stem from the flanker family but instead was reversed engineered with chinese technology from a ukranian purchased su-33, without russian permission, so its not a variant it is a literal copy

You have to copy off of something

If youre talking about how they copied off the S-70 instead of an actual UH-60

#

bro thats not much better

#

Idk about China but some "S-70"s were actually just export UH-60s called S-70s

How has this became a debate about copying aircraft CryingandShaking

pseudo basin

pseudo basin
# twin charm huh? why?

Replying to this and your message above, canards are not the only thing that can be externally changed, the su-33 had many flaws, yet when reverse engineering many of these evident flaws were left, such as its large size (highly inadequate for operating of the kutznetsov and both chinese carriers)

#

The fact that many of the fuselage related flaws were kept just shows how much they tried to copy off the design

#

Also canards were never a flaw

#

They did want them

twin charm
#

the canards worsen LERX performance

#

J-16 had those removed

pseudo basin
twin charm
#

they quite literally move to the direction of the wind

pseudo basin
twin charm
#

they don't increase any kind of maneuverability

pseudo basin
#

They may not be too useful outside of takeoff and landing, but they are not such a big problem

it's there but the main theater is close enough they could just operate from land

Fujian and Type 004 are the main objectives they're looking at currently
