The Focke-Wulf Fw 42 was a medium bomber project developed in Germany in the early 1930s. Wind tunnel tests showed the design had potential, however no contract was awarded and thus no examples were built. A full scale mockup was also built to be showcased to German, Russian and Japanese representatives, however its fat is unknown. The Fw 42 would have had a 1,000kg bomb payload capacity, a speed of 310km/h and a range of 1,200km.
