To be honest I'm kinda surprised that no one has suggested this sooner since the VTOL Update.

I had a little die-cast model of this thing from a flight museum when I was younger. Though the wings connecting the turbines to the body were longer and the cockpit wasn't a bubble-ish design it looked more practical and aerodynamically sound.
