https://www.eso.org/public/archives/images/screen/dark-skies.jpg when you are near city’s and bellow 10,000 feet you see less stars but when you get higher you get or farther away from city’s or place of a lot of light you get to see more of the sky, would be cool to see the night sky in the middle of the ocean https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/579ef122725e2570d05d274c/1485768476862-735LG84US39BU1KA937Q/Light+Pollution+Visualization.jpg

cool idea tbh.
could go well with meteors and auroras
yes
hell yeah
Imagine having a galaxy like this too the skybox sort of like this
Or like this
But only visible in areas very far away from light
Wait what about this and the northern lights
Holy shit the night can look like that?
i know the skybox has limitations but if ever someone finds a way to make a animated sky box this would be cool
oh this is a good suggestion!
i remember when a roblox storm chasing used to have this feature before it was removed.
twisted
This seems like something catboyfly would work on
I was referring to Storm Chasers Reborn 6, but that'll do too.
- laggy
there's already sth like this
in the game
if you go above 30 km, the skybox slowly changes to show the curvature of the earth and eventually space
so you just need the same thing, at lower altitude and with a cool-looking Milky Way instead of a blue earth
distance checks are used all the time for job completion
check the distance to the nearest airport
maybe add a few more points for big cities
Cough cough... Ughhh light pollution
hm
how would the transition looks like
since its a miniscale
do you have an X-15 ?
or some really fast, afterburning jet
nah
im also saying that itll be a little awkward transition tbh
but i havent seen in visually about light pollution
Make this more upvoted than emergency advisory system
Yes, I went to Sedona airport az and you can see the Milky Way with your naked eye
I took some fire photos
i might look into this
pls also look into galaxies and astronomy
ill add photos later. i was surprised, it is indescribable
took em with a normal phone camera. back in sfo right now and cant even see the brightest stars
Would it even be possible to make the skybox change when you're flying near a city or town?
yes.
areadata or whatever
