pyre would not be happy
its distracting honestly tho
old airport icons were fire
pyre didnt do it
oh mb
I like the new symbols, because it open the possibility of having custom symbols for airports, airfields and heliports / oil rigs, which should improve readability. I hope one day this is expanded.
This is distracting because when zoomed out, symbols density is high
And not that distracting when zoomed because density is low
So uh maybe make it only appear when zoomed until some point
(Like change it to some dots when zoomed out)
Or at least make the size of these symbols smaller when zoomed out
Look at the vehicle symbols, the size changes when zoomed out
Do the same thing for airport things
Yeah you're right
Sounds good
It's also distracting when it blocks the black part signifying the runways, for example look at oconee.
Well uh you can zoom into 32x so it would not be that big issue I guess
Well yeah, but it just seems like an unnecessary bypass, well to be fair ig not many people even use the runway feature and I can only think of a few examples where terminal is south of the runway
Yeah, the previous way was less intrusive when zoomed out
Also needs different type of icons
For example oil rigs and heliports
Change icon to heli
Hell, a lot can be done with this, like a GA aircraft icon for GA airports.
This^ it has so much potential
It would be a really effective way to tell WHAT kind of airport it is, beyond just the name.
Currently It just looks all the same to, one has to hover over to check what kind of airport it is, same thing with the old system, now that we got this, this can be actually improved.
Could maybe change up the color or something, or the icon for military airports.
also where atc icon
I think both have their merits. The newer symbols are really clean and sleek. They kinda look like a GPS which is kinda cool. The older icons are more gentle on the eyes, and not quite as cluttered.
update to this: Titanium says they have something planned already to solve this issue
Hah, knew it
